SBG GANG MENTAL ANALYSIS

yup, him for part two. funny thing despite Aiden being my favourite character I'm most excited for the other three posts I'll make, especially the last one. there's a lot to unpack here so

also im writing this with a migraine pls read it-

Part 2: Aiden Clark

ah, yes. the obviously-mentally-ill from the start fan favourite Aiden Clark. let's go.

first, I want to start with something I find really important about his character, what makes him heavily mischaracterized in the fandom. the 'psychopath' cliche.

the terms 'psychopath', 'insane' and 'unstable' are often confused with each other due to media stereotypes, such as Aiden here. one, he is not a psychopath. psychopath literally means a self-centered person who lacks sympathy, affection and care; making them far from most other characters in their franchise. their lack of sympathy/empathy often makes them criminalized, here

disturbing content warning, for an example of a psychopath.

let's take Gressil from Homesick for example since a lot of SBG readers also read Homesick. so, here, Gressil is a perfect example of an actual psychopath. his lack of empathy makes him torment others, he's very self-centered. and when asked why he's doing this? he says he was bored. let's look at Aiden here. what does Aiden do when bored? probably dumb ideas or annoy Tyler. not torturing people for fun. Aiden is just a boy who likes thrills, but he has a sense of empathy, care and justice.

alright, now since we got that cleared out!! firstly, ADHD.

I think everyone in the fandom is already aware that Aiden is ADHD but I'm still going to talk about it just like Ashlyn's autism. Red has also said that she wrote Aiden with ADHD in mind but hadn't canonically confirmed anyone as neurodivergent. let's start with the main symptoms of ADHD, also known as Attention Decifit and Hyperactivity Disorder.

I know about 5 different ADHD people myself and did some research, it probably won't be extremely accurate since I'm not ADHD myself, but I'll try to do whatever I can. first with the AD part, Attention Decifit.

now as seen, he doesn't exactly have any problems with theorizing itself. but the problem is that his attention just goes away easily.

i mean cmon bro was making memes on the job

he tries to do work, but can't. he has a low attention span which makes him not able to concentrate. he can't keep it up for long, he'll get distracted or bored too easily about things that doesn't interest in specially.

it's just distracting. what his attention is on constantly changes, there's more to that after the ADHD part but we're here for now.

the hyperactivity... it's a lot more apparent. but I should explain the insane-unstable thing before that.

insane means that someone's mental health is not in an okay situation, where it prevents the person from thinking normally, acting rationally, very often found together with delusions. the person is seriously mentally ill where it might count as a disability.

unstable, however, where someone is prone to psychiatric problems, has moodswings etc. they're not exactly the most sane person, but they aren't insane either. Aiden here, obviously falls on the unstable side. maybe just a little bit insane if you squint. this will be brought up later too, but it mixed well with his hyperactivity too.

and as we all know, our boy isn't exactly the most stable person. (sorry for the collages, but since there is a tumblr picture limit i have to keep on collaging. yes i learnt from the last time) his hyperactivity mixes with his unstable mindset which makes him incresingly vulnerable to danger- which he likes. from when the first shift happened, he's been really careless about stuff but it's been all about his love for thrill.

and it irritates Tyler, too.

the main subplot about his character is that he's a person of excitement. guess what? ADHD people like the excitement, they like new things, they like the adrenaline and thrill. now, Aiden's main characteristic of being unstable mixed with ADHD makes him an even more reckless person. another thing mixing with the hyperactivity, is boundaries.

this part will mostly be about Ashlyn since the boundary issue only happens with her.

I talked about this on Ashlyn's side on my Ashlyn analysis, now it's time for Aiden's side.

he's really annoying to her at first. Ashlyn is someone with lots of boundaries, like high walls. and who tries to climb them with his dumbass? Aiden of course.

she kept rejecting his efforts to befriend her for some time, until the night they stole the jeep. then she managed to actually bring the walls down, and accept them all into her life. but damn was she blunt.

felt that honestly

and Aiden understands her that night, too.

Ashlyn was hesistant to hug him, yes, he was aware. but she still did which made him realize she was also trying. i have to tell you, people with ADHD and people with autism either have trouble getting along, or go perfectly well. my ADHD sibling for example, I have to push them away for a lot and tell them to lower their voice. but once they remember my boundaries it actually becomes a normal, even pleasant hangout. which, Aiden realizes and tries to get along with. he tries.

seeing his efforts on her boundaries makes something click in her mind. and she starts to be a lot nicer when they hang out in the arcade.

Aiden eventually learns and remembers what she's like and what she loves to do. he already tried to watch her ballet sessions once -got slammed-, he's been to her room where he remembered the mat from and her fighting makes it obvious. I'm sure he knew he'd get cooked by betting that. but he still did,

because he knew it'd interest her. which he succeeded, he saw her smile again. the arcade day went great until Barron and his gang pulled up, but if we ignore that part it all went well. Aiden started to understand and respect her boundaries.

anyways then Tyler fucking dies

he knows that Ashlyn feels guilty. Aiden wants to comfort her through it, but also do it correctly. without going over any boundaries. which makes him really,

really,

really surprised when she responds.

also including this pannel cause its hilarious

here we see that he's still trying. hell, I'm sure he spent minutes thinking if he should come close physically to help her. that's probably why he just nudged her softly before anything else. he's not used to it, he has to conciously make an effort to not cross said boundaries. keeping his voice lower, try to not be so reckless, not doing anything physically close unless she reciprocates. wow how i wish another someone i knew irl tried that hard instead of blaming it on me cOUGH COUGH COUGH

also other small things to include

he's yapping a lot

he has a comically large amount of puzzles in his backpack for one single trip

and sticks his head into lamps for some reason

but that's just Aiden and his little neurodivergent brain for ya.

now the part I wanted to get to the most.

Borderline Personality Disorder.

first, what is Borderline Personality Disorder?

shortened as BPD, borderline is when someone's mood is inconsistent and swinging. think of it's name; the person's mental state is in the border, in the border line, switching up fastly. the most easily understood and common type is when the person goes from a depression to a happy state. but no matter which state they are in and/or go to, one thing stays the same: it is unstable.

one thing about borderline is that it is frequently mixed with bipolar. however bipolar is a neurodivengercy which means it is what someone is born with and cannot be changed. but borderline is obtained later in life. it usually happens with depression. bipolar is much more random and the episodes last longer in comparison. it may last up to hours, and the person's memory might have trouble remembering their episodes. borderline, on the other hand, is a short-lived mood swing.

now here. here's the catch; people with BPD during mood swings can have reckless behaviour, suicidal thoughts -in his case as far as we know, lowered sense of protecting himself- or a loss of understanding danger. sounds familiar?

borderline's recklessness and dangerousness, sometimes self-destructive acts combines with ADHD's love for thrill and excitement, combined with Aiden's own personality all make up for a great condition of instability.

Aiden's behaviour constantly goes crazy, I think his most frequent mood swing might be his normal self (at least, as normal as he could be) to this more maniac way of acting. I noticed it from his eyes, when he's in a more calm-ish normal state his pupils are a bit more dilated. in the pictures above, you can clearly see that he's still in the episode; filled with the adrenaline, the unstable way of thinking.

but, what causes that? surely a mental illness such as borderline doesn't happen on it's own.

right?

cause it didn't.

it never works that way.

but it can get better.

eventually.

but what happened to him?

personally, as much as a large amounnt of people seems to believe it's something like family abuse I don't think so. maybe neglect, maybe withdrawal, maybe maybe. but we've seen his parents. I don't think they would hurt him like that. I can't put any more pictures, but this is the last part anyway. his parents seem to be kind and gentle, despite that picture in his house. I'm thinking the picture was only for the dramatic effect. his parents said that he used to be really calm and quiet during Lily's birthday, and both Aiden and Ben seem comfortable around them. they were happy taking Ben in too, any kind of abusive parent wouldn't do that at least that's what I believe. also there is that Aiden got serious and concerned when he learnt that their parents were also in the facility, most likely worried for his own as you would have thought.

there was a post that I've been trying to find for like half an hour, I commented on it but I can't find the post now. the person talked about their own theory. if I remember correctly it was that when Aiden was depressive as a child, his parents took him to a thrilling activity like the ones he's been talking about (bungee-jumping, skydiving etc.) and the thrill made him actually get excited. which is why his parents allowed him to go even more reckless, because they are aware of how prone their son could be to the depression.

what happened? let's ignore the parents factor. someone can have a loving family and still be traumatized, someone can be taken care of and still feel abandoned, someone can never have confronted a situation they are terrified of.

one of my theories is that, the loneliness. it must get to a child heavily considering children need to not be left alone, but Aiden was. he didn't have any actual friends since they always moved from one place to another from his parents' business, and they might have not had enough time to make for him (which I believe is bullshitting, every child deserves to be taken some time out for. some people quit their jobs entirely for their child.) and be unaware, and that doesn't change that he was still depressed and alone. his depressive state was seemingly before Ben was taken in. now here one thing with borderline, at least from my experience, is faking actions. smiles, laughs, friendships, conversations... almost as if there's two different lives; one fake, and one real. you keep on switching, you keep on swinging between the sides where you're yourself and where you're just mimicking 'normal human behaviour'.

it starts from faking a happy state during their depression, and by time you're faking it it becomes an automatic adition to your personality. to your mind. once it furthers, it becomes the disorder. Aiden we see is always smiling. it becomes a habit that only breaks sometimes. now, I'm not saying his smile is fake- I think his face is literally just stuck like that. it breaks ever so slightly sometimes. fake it till ya make it yanno? that kind of thing. and when he swings from his calm mood to his borderline-d mood, his pupils get small and his smile gets worse. noticably worse. I'll be rereading the series (AGAIN) and this time look at all the small details since Red loves putting them and I love theorizing so

which, wraps up the Aiden thing! im actually really proud of how i could put my thoughts into text which i never could. i'd love any additions because i love other opinions as well.

and you know what? im glad Ash and Ai are out of the place because the rest are what I'm actually looking forward to >:)

Leo Valdez x Fem!Reader Synopsis: Instead of 7th wheeling Leo goes toward the beach, but sees a strange girl with a lighter ?? Warning(s): probably cursing, lemme come back tho. Word Count: 2305 A/N: this is a normal AU, no godly shit 😛 AND WE ARE NOT AT WILDERNESS SCHOOL, THE WHOLE SEVEN IS HERE. Can we start using the word dope again, idk it's kinda fire, OH AND FUGLY, bc if someone called me that???? NAHH. also im using the book characters soooo😛😛 PART 2

Being sent away from foster home to foster home wasn't a foreign idea to Leo. When he was younger he'd been sent to 5 different (abusive) homes and ran away from all of them. So when he was sent to the one place he couldn't run away from, a boarding school, safe to say he was nervous. When Leo walked into the common room to his dorm, it was so much nicer than most of his older homes to say the least.

Shortly after arriving, he met his 3 other roommates Jason, Frank and Percy. For the first month of their sophomore year, Leo was slightly on edge, ready to bounce at a moments notice, but after about two months the three finally broke the shell Leo put up and became close, if not best, friends. Plus, Leo barely ever felt like a 7th wheel when their girlfriends Piper, Hazel and Annabeth were around.

And just as fast as it started, sophomore year ended and the group decided to take a road trip to the down to California all the way from New York. Nice time at the beach, dipping his toes in the sand, yeah, that sounded nice to Leo. So they all packed up and got settled in Leo's Volkswagen van (he got it because he liked scooby doo), and were off. The trip took 5 days, but they finally made it to the amazing beaches of Los Angelos.

"Please tell me we're here," Hazel groaned. She got motion sick pretty bad.

"Yup, the amazing city of Los Angelos," Leo yawned as he motioned toward the city in front of him. Except there wasn't much to see. It was nearing 2AM and the only people left on the streets were drunk stragglers leaving the clubs, probably going to other parties.

"I'll go get our room," Piper said as she dragged her feet over to the hotel's reception desk. Jason grabbed both of their bags and followed her inside.

"Can we just fly next time, this wasn't very comfortable," Frank was stretching out, but he was a pretty big dude so it wasn't the best stretch ever.

"With what money Frank," Annabeth asked. "We don't just have 200 bucks just laying around, plus extra for the room we got."

"Yeah that's like, my life's savings right now," Percy groaned. Was he even alive back there?

"It was just a suggestion."

"Guys grab your stuff, our rooms ready," Piper returned. The group grabbed their things and headed to their suite. It had a living room, kitchen, two separate rooms, and a bathroom of course. Since it was just the two rooms they split off into girls and boys just like back at school. They hadn't even bothered unpacking before passing out onto the comfy beds (they haven't slept in a comfortable bed since school).

The next day, the other six decided to let Leo sleep in after being the designated driver throughout the whole trip. Leo rolled over and checked his phone,

'Holy shit,' he thought. He was more tired than he thought. Leo went through his phone and saw a text from Piper saying,

'we're over by the beach for whenever u wake up'

Leo wasn't gonna sit through some FOMO and quickly got dressed in some swim trunks and ran down toward the beach. He continued walking until he found his friends. It was pretty easy to spot them when Percy picked up Annabeth and made a run for it to the water, she was screaming just a lil bit.

"Hey Leo, catch," Hazel through him a sandwich, knowing he skipped breakfast and made his way here as fast as he could.

Leo took a bite, and retracted knowing the sandwich was not for him, "yeah no this is def Piper's." He wrapped it back up and acted like he never took the bite and just grabbed another one.

"Finally your awake," Jason said as he made his way back from the salty water.

"Yeah, thought you were gonna sleep in all day," Piper said from next to him.

"Well next time we're taking turns driving then," Leo took a bite from his sandwich, this one for sure had some meat in it.

"We suggested it but you were all like 'no no, this car is my baby, blah blah blah,'" Piper was using a really high pitched voice pretending to be Leo. "'No ones allowed to drive it but me' bull, or was that our collective imagination??"

Leo rolled his eyes, immense attitude while doing it. "Lets move on shall we?"

And they moved on. The seven spent the whole day running and having fun in the water. There was chicken fights and a little drowning but nothing too serious, LOL!!! As the sun started to go down, they all made their way back to their room. Leo and Percy kept creeping up behind Jason and Frank to slap their sun burnt backs, the girls minded their business and showered and got ready for whatever they were going to do that night.

Percy planned on taking Annabeth out to eat, while Jason and Piper wanted to stay in and watch a movie. Hazel and Frank were exhausted and just went to sleep. So this left Leo with some alone time. He didn't want to stay and intrude on the couple and their movie, so he left and walked around the hotel they were staying at.

When Leo was walking down the hallways, he could've sworn he was walking through the backrooms. He made his way toward the elevator and went down stairs where everything was. The pool, the arcade and a little restaurant. Sucks almost everything closed at 8PM, but the beach was still open!!

Leo walked past the pool to head to the beach. In between the pool and beach, was a sandy area with a closed bar, some hammocks, a ping pong table, and a large kids play area. When Leo was a kid, this kind of stuff seemed like the biggest luxury, not a normal experience for lots of kids.

He went to walk past, when he saw a light spark and quickly disappear from inside the play area. Leo thought he imagined it from how quickly it went away, but then it reappeared again. Sparking his interest, he walked over to see what was making the light. When he made his way, his head just barely passed the elevated platform where he saw a girl sitting there. She was leaning against the metal bars meant to keep kids from falling while using her lighter to melt the middle bar next to her.

She was really pretty, nothing about her was too crazy or outlandish, but the way her hair framed her face, or the way her lips curved up slightly when the lighter went off, or maybe the glow in her eyes, but something about her just couldn't let Leo look away. Though she was also slowly melting a kids jungle gym, so maybe the it was the latter. Or the former? Whatever, Leo didn't know the difference.

"I can see you, you know," the girl said. Leo felt like a little stalker now.

"Oh um, hello."

"Whatcha doing standing there watching me?"

"I don't know, whatcha doing sitting there trying to set this thing on fire?"

"Touché," The girl smiled down at Leo. "Cmon on up stalker boy."

"Hey! I'm not a stalker," Leo retorted while climbing up the ladder the sit across this mysterious girl.

"Sure. So why you out here so late?"

"I'm kinda seventh wheeling my best buddies, but two of them are watching a movie so I gave them there space," Leo sighed. What a wingman he was, truly.

"Wow, must suck."

"Nah, not really," Leo shrugged. "So what, are you here with friends too?"

"Hm? Oh no, I'm here alone. Actually to be honest I'm not even supposed to be here, I don't even have a room." She admitted.

"What? Where are you supposed to be? Are your parents not wondering where you are or something?" The girl started laughing, making Leo more confused.

"As if, they never notice me. Only when I get in trouble at least. I was going to school around here, but I got expelled."

"Woah, someones a trouble maker. What'd you do to get expelled?"

"I got into a fight in a classroom, I don't even know why. All I know is I threw something and it broke straight through a window."

"You're a little um, aggressive. Is that good when handling fire," Leo said while pointing toward the lighter in the girls hand.

"Your bold for dissing a girl whose currently lighting a jungle gym on fire," she giggled.

"Oh cmon, you wouldn't burn me right? I thought we were starting something here," Leo joked.

"Oh really? And what, pray tell, is that?" the girl was smiling at Leo. Now he wasn't the best with girls, but he was clearly doing something right. Right?

"Um, the friendship of a lifetime?? What could be better than having a Leo Valdez in your life," he started pointed to himself with his thumbs like he was that dude.

"So that's your name." The Leo realized he never asked the girl sitting right across from him for her name.

"Are you gonna say yours, or are you gonna stay the mysterious arson girl," Leo asked.

"I don't know, I kinda like being the mysterious arson girl." She smiled and started scooting next to Leo. He thought she was gonna light him on fire, but instead she held out her hand (no lighter), "I'm Y/N."

"Leo."

"You said that already," she laughed and Leo mentally face palmed. Pretty girls had that affect on him.

"Yeah, your right."

"I normally am."

"And you're so humble about it. Anyways, you said you didn't have a room, so where do you plan on sleeping?"

"Why? Wanna join me," That caught Leo off guard for sure. "I'll find a spot, I always do."

"I mean, I have a room." Did he just offer a room to a girl whom he just met? Yes, yes he did.

She just smiled, and Leo couldn't help but feel a little warm. He knew it wasn't the fire, she hadn't lit it during the conversation, it was all him. They sat shoulder to shoulder, could she feel him slowly heating up through the conversation? "I appreciate the offer, but I'll be okay."

'Hmm, fine then." It went quiet for a second. Y/N turned so she was facing Leo, and he hadn't realized how close their faces were till right now. She sat there without moving, looking between his eyes and lips, Leo wasn't too big of a loser to know when a girl looked like she wanted to kiss you. She did in fact lean in, but to kiss his cheek.

Y/N stood up, dusting leftover sand from her sweats. "I gotta go now, maybe I'll see you around. Leo Valdez." He sat there and watched as she slid down the little slide and went off into the distance. Leo didn't move his eyes until she left his field of vision. He sat there for about an extra 15 to 20 minutes, staring at the melted mark the little arsonist left behind while listening to the sound of the ocean waves in the distance before finally heading back to the room.

When he walked back, he could've sworn everything looked more vibrant. He swiped his keycard and slowly opened the door, seeing Jason and Piper laying against each other still watching a movie, now accompanied by Percy and Annabeth.

"And where have you been," Jason asked, barely taking his eyes off the screen.

"Oh," Leo slightly smiled just thinking about it. "No where really, just by the beach."

Annabeth and Percy side-eyed each other before looking back at Leo, "now whats got you smiling?"

"What? I'm not smiling, you're smiling." The four sitting in the living room started chuckling at the latino boy as he scrambled over his words. "Now goodnight," Leo went into a bedroom and quickly shut the door behind him. What he didn't realize is that this was the room Frank and Hazel called an early night in. Good news is they truly did just call an early night. Bad news, well not for Leo, is that he slammed the door a little too hard, scaring frank awake and slipping from bed.

"My bad bro," Leo chuckled.

"Why are you slamming doors at this ungodly hour?" Frank complained.

"Well," Leo looked at his imaginary watch, "it's actually 9:30PM, lots of the elderly are still out playing bingo. Does that make you a fossil."

"It makes me someone whose debating throwing you off the balcony of our room."

"I'll go to the other room," Leo made his way out.

"Yeah you do that," Frank concluded.

Leo quickly made his way out before Frank changed his mind on letting Leo go. He got very cranky when it came to his sleep.

"Are they actually sleeping in there," Percy asked, earning a soft smack from Annabeth.

"Like a bunch of babies," Leo said while yawning and heading over to the other room, completely ready to hit the hay. He may have just made fun of Frank for going to sleep so early, but he didn't mind being a little hypocritical.

Leo made it to bed, laying all snug like a bug. Before falling asleep he was thinking about something Y/N said,

"I gotta go now, maybe I'll see you around. Leo Valdez."

Would he actually ever see her again? Did she know something he didn't? Probably not, that was definitely a stretch, but still. He hoped he ended up seeing her again.

hello securitywaiter nation have you thought about ness being abby’s teacher bc I HAVE

below the cut because i can't shut up ever :D

-abby does well enough in school academically but is still needs some work in the socioemotional dept

-when she starts a new school year mike is a bit worried but then she comes back home absolutely ecstatic and mike is like “okay this is good”

-she talks all about how mr. ness lets her color while he teaches and how mr. ness gave them all name tags w silly drawings (hers is a bear) etc etc

-mike is actually really happy bc most teachers have a hard time understanding abby (heck, he has a hard time understanding her) so he’s looking forward to meeting this mr. ness during back to school night

-it goes on like this for awhile, with abby raving about mr. ness and mike is just happy that his little sister seems to be doing better in school. the first time she comes home talking about these kids she hung out with at recess he practically cries

-back to school night is here and the first time mike sees this mr. ness he’s like abby u traitor you didnt tell me this man was exactly my type (he doesn’t actually tell her bc he never brings up his lovelife around her - not that he’s had much of one - but still isn’t this the type of things siblings know intrinsically)

-anyways they’re having the kids show their guardians around the classroom and their seats and everything and then mr. ness is explaining the way his class works and mike is totally paying attention. yup. he’s not distracted by those chocolate brown eyes at ALL

-so they’re waiting to do the one-on-ones with the teacher and mike crouches down next to abby and tries to be all chill “hey, abs. has mr. ness ever mentioned a partner or anything?” acting all nonchalant

-but abby sees right through him and is immediately like “he’s single! do u want me to put in good word for you?” and mikes like “NO i have no idea what ur talking about haha i just wanted to know bc it’s important to know that about ur teachers okay wait why are you smiling like that”

-(abby’s a little menace and already ships it)

-when it’s finally their turn mike is just chanting to himself “be normal. be normal. be normal” lmao

-but now that he’s sitting face to face with the teacher he notices that he has freckles and every chance he had at playing it cool goes out the window

-ness is telling him all about how well abby is doing in class and if there was anything he could do to make it easier for her in the classroom and abby’s just sitting there looking at mike internally screaming with a smile

-so she turns to her teacher and is like “you should get mike’s number just in case something comes up. he’ll probably think of some things later since he’s been taking care of me alone for awhile” (bc u know when kids do that things where they kinda trauma dump at the most random moments lmao)

-and ness at first refuses and is like “im sure email works just fine!” and abby’s like WHYY is he not just taking the bait and then she has like a lightbulb moment

-bc ness probably assumes like everyone else that mike is a single father and abby’s his daughter and abby’s like oh no how do i make this work

-so she goes full anya mode (for my spy x family watchers) and is like “im sure mike would appreciate having your number on hand! he’s a very protective older brother you see. taking care of his little sister must be hard. i’m sure being a big brother like him is hard so it’d be for his peace of mind. did i mention he’s my older brother”

Hallo!! [waves back!!!] thanks for the ask :D And well as one might expect its a reverse iterator au! meaning instead of pebbles accidentaly killing moon, its moon accidentaly killing pebbles! - please note its not a personality swap or anything- im gonna expand on how it ended up like that in (this) post, because if i dont i this will be way to long :D

And well its mostly a silly au because my iterators are silly, with moon being up and running (with a mild mold problem) and pebbles being left suspended high in the sky after part of his structure collapsed - which isnt at all a result of my deep desire for a vulture free high altitude pipe parkour region while also having a collapsed metropolis ontop of pebbles creating a giant region of death pits!! -

Im gonna talk more about the map here!!

or if im honest its just an excuse to have silly iterator interactions, seeing as pebbles wouldnt have activated the no chit chat block its a free for all for the iterators to have opinions and gossip, so its mostly an au where moon chats with NSH while pebbles sends her malicious malware to kill her quicker - also this is totally based on my own stupid iterator interpetation, which is pretty different than normal fanon, so uh, keep in mind - anyhow its basicly this \/\/\/ for 43 trillion cycles

Also as you might suspect this would have an effect on the over all story and plot, but im not getting to into that unless someone asks!!

hiiii 3DS tour!!!!

from the day i first got it, i knew to name it Happiness..... nothing deep about it i just wanted to say "my mom took my Happiness away for exam week :("

a bit of a reveal but i'm the anxious sticker placer anon haha it's still plain to this day if not for a few scratches (a lot actually but it's not that noticeable, right? qwq)

the barcode and numbers are super faded i can't read them!! plus the scratches are much more noticeable, im not sure where most of them came from but i remember one of them is when i accidentally dropped a screwdriver on it oops

the cartridge is pokemon black 2!! i've had this game before Happiness. yup i have a metallic rose DS lite that's sooo busted up, (well i had a coral pink DS lite before that but i got mugged when i was like 7 years old and it's gone which is a story for another time)

anyway, metallic rose had dead pixels that spread like some fungus, L button didnt work at all, buttons feel gross to press now, etc yknow normal 7 year old not knowing the value of things thing

i'd send a picture but it's back at my old house, pray that the spiders know how to play dig dig dug

:D i'm very normal about cyrus pokemon i swear

if you check my theme plaza account you can see i also made one (1) batch of badges which is hunter x hunter badges as you can see from the folders, i'm also very normal about hunter x hunter i swear

i wanted to lay everything out without folders and arrange everything pretty but it's so hard how do all of you do it qwq

gon folder (top left folder) are my 3DS gaammeess, i haven't played some of them bc i still got a lot of games to finish but they're there!!

i deleted the shortcuts for the DS games i finished, also it took me way too long how to inject GBA and other games into 3DS

kurapika folder (bottom left folder) contains videos and movies! i figured out how to convert them but it's so hard to find download links to the movies i like now :(

also did you know the first 3 volumes of hunter x hunter are on the japanese eshop? i can't read japanese but i keep them because i like the novelty of it

leorio folder (bottom right folder) is my homebrew and miscellaneous stuffs! self-explanatory -w-

After a few seconds, the items that were laid out created a face. Her face. Taking a shaking breath...the sound of a small pebble is heard, turning her head sh-

"Man, this movie suucks." Said Epel, turning off Ramshakle's TV. "A- Hey! I enjoyed that!" Ace argued, getting off the floor to face him. "Uhh- Jack are you okay?" Deuce asked the slightly shaking wolf. "Yeah. Im fine, im okay, im doing great even." his voice wavered slightly, and his tail also was shaking. "Uhuh? Are you sure?" "Yes very." "Human? HUMAN!!"

And then there you were. Sleeping soundly on the arms of the old couch. "shiit...Still sleeping after all of Jack's screams?" "I did not scream." you shifted slightly, your face now facing the rotting wooden ceiling. "Hey, Hey...Grim. Where does this one keep their pens again?" "Neyh?.. In our school bag obviously!" "alright...could you go get them? Please? Ill get you tuna, the fancy kind"

Immediately Grim ran up the stairs, getting their shared pens. "Epel, What are you going to do? Perhaps make a goodnight note? I know that I will have to leave soon." Grim came running back, a few pencil pouches in his mouth. Jumping back on the couch he dropped the pouch on Epel's lap. "Here ya go!" "Thanks, Grimmy, ill give it to you after classes tomorrow."

"Aaah. So that's what you're going to do?" "Yup! Wanna join?" "Hell yeah! Deuce, Jack, Sebek?" Ace dug around the pouch, taking out a bright pink pen and a blue pen, and handed the blue pen to Epel. "You're going to draw on their face? Really?" "yup" "Alright give me one." "YOU'RE GOING TO WRITE ON THE HUMAN'S FACE?!" "Don't worry sebek, it'll wash off. It's what friends do anyways" "...Fine. ONLY ONCE." Both Jack and Sebek got a colored pen. Jack got a purple pen and Sebek a normal back pen. "And you deuce?" "No way, im not going to do that to my friend!" "Sure bud. Here grim, you too" Epel handed a red pen to grim.

"..why do I let you guys talk me into things like this?" "Because you loove us!" now all of them are suround you. Pens in hands and slightly chuckling.

Avoiding Carlos was a skill you were very well developed in. He was quite possibly one of the most ridiculous, confusing men you'd ever met.

You knew who he was, mainly because Carlos isn't the kind of name you hear every day, and because a personal trainer accompanying you every single time you go to the gym is not normal, and neither is having a small crew of people filming a workout.

Of course, you stalked him.

He was quite easy to find. There was only one person following your gym's Instagram page named Carlos, and it belonged to Carlossainz55. He was an F1 driver.

At first, you thought it might have been some kind of error, maybe there were two uncannily attractive people named Carlos and one was a global sports star, and the other was the annoying guy in your gym. That was until you saw one of his Don't Blink reels and yup. That was your gym in the background alright.

Maybe you should have been excited because the idea of sharing a gym with a celebrity was insanely cool. Unfortunately, you lived in the real world, where it was nothing more than the biggest pain in your ass.

Your shift pattern meant you had limited times when you could even get to the gym, and every time you went he was there. You'd know before you were even in the doors because there'd be a small huddle of people clutching red caps and cameras, craning hopefully up at the windows. And then when you were in the gym it was a nightmare. You weren't allowed to film anything, including your own form you were constantly being asked to move out of the way by his people because your left shoe was in the camera shot.

And then there was Carlos himself.

He was loud. He talked loudly, he laughed loudly, he lifted weights loudly. It was distracting, but he never seemed to care let alone apologise. He wasn't obnoxious, he had no problem chatting to the other locals that used the gym but you could have sworn he had a problem with you.

Every single time you were in there, without fail, no matter what you were doing, he always came over and needed the equipment you were using. He was polite and sincere, but it pissed you off to no end. Just because he was famous he thought he was above waiting and sharing like the rest of you? It wasn't okay. So you started getting a bit shitty.

You ignored him when he asked to use your equipment. You refused to move when they were filming. You swore at his fans. You gave him openly filthy looks when he was loud. Once he was sweating so much it was dripping onto the gym floor and you simply threw one of the cleaning cloths the gym supplied at his face.

It seemed, too, that Carlos was rising to your spikes. You'd thought he'd be more mature, but you should have known better that status does not come with maturity. He seemed to be there all the fucking time. He arrived when you did, left as you did. If you were on the treadmill he was on the one next to you, going two settings faster. If you were doing weights so was he, but 20 kilos heavier. It was ridiculous and it was petty.

The day you snapped was the day he cut in front of you to refill his bottle at the water fountain.

"Do you fucking mind!?"

He spun around on the spot, his eyes widening when he saw you, "Sorry-" he was starting to gesture for you to step back in front of him but you'd had enough.

"Jesus Christ I don't know what your problem is with me but can you cut it out!?" He still looked completely bewildered, frantically looking around as if it might supply an answer

"What? I have never-"

"Bullshit! It's like you hate me! You're constantly in my way, you take my stuff, you bump me all the time. I've never even said a word to you before and you seem to have already chosen me as some kind of personal victim-"

"I don't hate you," he cut off your rant, his voice low as if he was trying not to get in trouble

"What?"

"I don't hate you," he repeated as if it would help, it didn't. He reached the front of the queue and took your water bottle out of your limp hand, filling it and then his own before handing yours back to you and stepping to the side. "I like you,"

"You've never said a word to me-"

"Please?" you folded your arms across your chest and nodded, allowing him to talk. "I can't talk to anyone here. Not with my PT and the camera guy over me all the time. But I see you here, a lot. Maybe I am overstepping, but you're very pretty,"

That one shocked you. You weren't the self-hating insecure type, but you also thought that it was very hard to look pretty when you were drenched in sweat and bright red in the gym.

"I took your things because I wanted to talk to you, but you always just gave them to me. I started running by you to see if you'd talk, but you didn't. I don't want you to think I hate you,"

"So being a weirdo was the way to do it?" You raised an eyebrow at him. You didn't have to be a genius to recognise that he really was very attractive. And although it was stupid and annoying and he'd plagued you for months his plan had a sort of cuteness to it. He cracked a smile then, his face finally softening and damn, he was gorgeous.

"Can I take you out? Please? We can do whatever you want, coffee, food, drinks. I don't wanna miss my chance,"

"You don't wanna miss your chance with me?" You couldn't quite believe the man in front of you was virtually begging for you to forgive him, to take a chance on him.

His personal trainer calling for him back in the main room made him start, and he was staring at you in a silent plea.

"I'm free tomorrow afternoon," he was nodding rapidly, retreating back to his PT with an apology, claiming how excited he was to see you tomorrow. You were sceptical, but you couldn't deny the little stirring of excitement in the pit of your stomach.

You left your number at the reception desk because you thought following him to give it to him was too keen, and if he really wanted this date he could put in a little bit of effort to get your number.

UMMM idk how im gonna format this so im just gonna put it in bullet points ig

scout is a big ole hugger and very physically affectionate,, this contrasts with miss pauling being touch starved and really reserved. the way each of them love is something to get used to for both of them but its just works!!

i think miss pauling is very quick to try to ignore her feelings in order to focus on her work rather than a relationship with scout but it ends up coming up over and over again. like perhaps she'll try to convince herself that she can work with him and be normal and ends up fumbling over her words or another flub like that "hey scout i need you, i mean- for-for this" contract line. (i see her being shown to act stern to him in fanon even when she's supposed to be pining, but i think its forgetting the aspect of her character that she's a huge nerd >:33 i just really enjoy scoutpauling pining. scout becomes softer, shyer and more considerate, and miss pauling becomes that "girls when they're in love" meme. i just think they're such a good ship for a slow burn which is so upsetting cause i don't think there's a single scoutpauling-focused fic that's a slow burn. i'd say i'd to take up the torch but i struggle to even write one shots so 💀)

i also like to think that miss pauling notices his insecurities and compliments them. and he gets all flustered but he loves it so much. (yup i did rip this from a measured fic i read but i gotta beef up that wordcount biatch. i am insane abt this pairing i dont think you guys understand yet)

miss pauling is often overworked (as she is lol) and will struggle to take basic care of herself (feeding, sleeping, etc) and as they get closer scout will swing by her apartment often and help her clean up the garbage, water the plants , take her to bed (NON SEXUALLY!!!!11!!! we keep it PG here) and get her some good food

miss pauling will sometimes be so overworked she'll be sleeping sitting up or fall out of her chair and sleep crumpled on the floor. scout is often coming into her office/apartment just to spend some time with her and she'll tell him that she's fine and doesn't need much sleep to keep going. scout let's her go for this but soon he finds her asleep in even more concerning spots and finally says fuck it and cleans up her apartment and tucks her into bed

i feel like scout has put on a tough, "manly" persona all his life to prevent himself from getting bullied (or at least getting affected by it in front of others) but i think miss pauling being a girl able to call him on his bullshit is really good for him to be more down to earth and good for his self esteem in a way? like i think he allows himself to be more vulnerable with her and that feeling rewarded by being loved for what he is rather than just a persona is just really nice.

miss pauling is really capable but also i think shes avoidant to help if its really personal to her and not only her job. miss pauling was raised to be an assassin by the administrator and was never really allowed to just be a PERSON and i think that its kinda nice for her to be able to just have a normal relationship with someone. like, i think their relationship is pretty non-normal lols, but also i think scout can be really nice to her and nurturing to a more personal side of her she often times will have locked up because of her line of work.

if the administrator didnt adopt miss pauling (a big hc i have) i like to think that she had a very cold and unforgiving set of parents (like perhaps she can attach herself so well to the administrator because shes used to authority figures behaving in that way? or something?). i imagine after miss pauling getting well acquainted with scouts family, scout wants to meet her family. scouts family is a lot more warm blooded and caring than miss paulings family, and miss pauling says no at first because of this. scout still wants to go or at least know why miss pauling wont talk about her family, but reconciles that some things she isnt ready for. miss pauling still notices his feelings and decides to bring him over for one dinner. its just the worst for everyone involved. scout is wearing his sunday best which is a goofy haircut and a bowtie because he cant be fancy to save his life and no matter how polite he tried to be his bluntness would always shine through on accident. miss paulings mom would insult her and scoutd get really defensive. hes not allowed back. ;-;

another hc i like is that miss pauling and scout both speak spanish. scout learnt it because he mistook it for the language of love (which, i mean spanish is still a pretty romantic language so i fuck w it) but in miss pauling's case it was her first language. miss pauling is excited to know he speaks her language and he often needs her to slow down her speech for him to keep up which i think is a fun contrast to everyone struggling to keep up with him loll... also this happened valve told me/j

i also just really like miss pauling's hyper-activeness and excitability as well,(i didnt say this yet but i also headcanon them both as audhd A LOT) like ive said before its rarely shown in fanon and its upsetting cause i think she's just a silly little character and she's often shown to be the straight man or team mom exclusively…. and i think theres a twinge of fandom misogyny in there but like whatevs ig.

they can work together really well as a unit but also i think they are really nice for just . healing together from fucked up childhoods i guess

ive seen scoutpauling be viewed as a ship with no sauce or spice but i gotta disagree!!! theyre the most concentrated flavour containers ive ever seen in all my years its great
