oh also one thing that i realized just now: qbagi’s initial suspicion over what’s happening to qphil being tied to the federation is technically not wrong

you know what drew qphil’s deities’ interest to him and quesadilla island? the birdcage. rose said in her earliest message ”I could sense the bleeding heart of the one I once knew, far, far away”. the deities noticed qphil had disappeared, and maybe they were curious to know what had happened, but the thing that drove them to find him was rose’s want to help him. and if she really was the one that freed him from the cage (and it’s heavily hinted she was), that birdcage undeniably was the thing that launched all of this into action.

how the enderking figured out that qphil had been weakened? we don’t know, maybe he sensed it, maybe he had already been observing him, maybe he noticed rose leaving to look for qphil, it doesn’t really matter. what does matter is that the trauma qphil got from being locked in that cage is what gave the enderking the perfect opportunity to strike. and is what led us to where we are now in the story. so even thought the federation isn’t ultimately the one tormenting qphil right now, it can still all be traced back to them and their continual abuses of power :)

ATTENTION EDITORS!! Specifically towards editors of the Netflix series Wednesday

The blog @blumencia has been called out for stealing gifsets/edits of the Wednesday show and has not stopped. For example, they stole a set made by the talented @nessa007​

as well as this most recent one (update: the original gifset belongs to @chriswevans​ and you can find it here):

and when people called them out on it, they seemingly blocked them and kept the stolen work up and it got thousands of notes. 

Taking credit for someone else’s hard work is never okay. It takes hours to find downloadable files in good quality, download, cut, crop, color, size, add effects, etc to these sets. The blog as a watermark in the corner for fuck sake to prevent people form taking credit, and they still ignored it. 

They have even tried to make a pathetic excuse for their actions of stealing by making this ‘statement’ that makes no logical sense:

Apparently since editors do not handmake the series ourselves other people can take it without any issues. What a wild excuse that is. Also since you do not think it’s ‘work’ to make these edits... why not just make them yourself? if it’s not ‘work’? Seems so easy to you why not stop stealing other peoples work?

Please report their blog because, whether they agree or not, stealing people’s work is against the rules of tumblr. Have fun reaping what you sow etc etc. 💕

NEMESIS!!!!!

Jokes aside people focus a lot on how mean Nem is and yeah!! She's mean and clearly covets Mel's job but also if you look at her life philosophy it all makes sense.

Cause as Retribution Incarnate, Nemesis's whole deal is that you reap what you sow. If you experienced consequences, you did something to invoke them. Hence why she argues with Moros over the Fates and their influence vs. one's autonomy in that one conversation. It's also why she resents Mel having the job to save the House of Hades so much.

Mel never did anything to deserve this job. She's going out there, with the weight of everyone's expectations, worked up af, dying a billion times cause she was told she ought to. She didn't fail like Hecate did, it's not her official reason to exist like Nemesis herself. The only "crime" Mel did to deserve such a "fate" was being born to Persephone and Hades. Which is why Nem says the job isn't "personal" for Mel - Mel has done nothing (for good or bad) that warrants such a punishment - the scrutiny, the bloodshed, the agony etc.

It contextualizes the animosity between her and Hecate so much. We know Hecate failed as handmaiden to warn Nyx (or so Nemesis accuses her of) and we know Hecate couldn't save the House other than take Mel, Hypnos, and the unfinished family portrait (her own admission). From Nem's perspective, Hecate's the one who deserves punishment more, yet she's fostering the responsibility onto Mel.

It also contextualizes why Nem is so self-loathing about the whole arrangement too. If by her admission, one reaps what they sought re: consequences, what does it mean then, that she herself is stuck in the Crossroads on guard duty? What has she done to reap this? It's probably why she accepts the job even though she hates it. Sidenote: after the Nem + Hecate fight, Mel would have a conversation with Nemesis about it. She asks what did she get for her "insubordination" and Nem's like "heh. more guard duty." but not particularly mad about it. She knew what she did, what the consequences would be. Cause of course she knows.

Anyways, this whole thing is a long ramble to say - Nemesis has a lot of hidden depths besides her asshole-ishness. I do think all her insults and jabs at Mel are thinly veiled concern for her situation (I mean, she's constantly pointing out where Mel is lacking - scrawny, not personal, not deserving of it, etc. and being like "does anyone else think this is fucked up??") while also thinking it should be her responsibility instead. I mean, does Nemesis carry guilt about not being there to stop Chronos I wonder?

Random thought:

As a writer and a reader, people really need to stop leaving hate comments under a writer's/ Artist's work, that's just fucked up!!

You don't understand how effort and time it takes for a writer/ artist to get work done.

Tumblr is supposed to be a safe place and comfort zone, free of hate. Now there's a huge difference between hate and criticism.

Stop the hate comments and dms please!! if you don't like something simply skip it, hate is completely unnecessary and it won't get you anywhere but it would bring you hate in return. Haters simply reap what they sow.

The writers / artists choose their own content, it makes them happy to share it with others, to bring an idea to life, it doesn't only comfort the audience but also the writer / artist themselves.

We're all dealing with real life and not all of us have perfect and happy lives so writing / drawing/ editing etc is what comforts us, it's an escape, and our escape should be a happy place where all of us exist in harmony.

Some artists don't really care about those comments and they simply block or report which is the right thing to do but some get really sad and depressed about it, so please don't turn anyone comfort into a reason for them to be sad just because you chose to be mean and leave a mean comment under their posts.

Skip or block a blog if you don't like it and doesn't want to see that specific content, but never insult anyone and never try to bring them down, it's just a childish and shitty thing to do.

To all the haters out there stop the hate please !

To my fellow writers and artists keep on doing what you love!!! Don't let anyone brings you down!! You are amazing and you content is unique. Keep doing what comforts you, all of you are amazing and thank y'all for your amazing work 🤍

planetary money

mercury and jupiter are the most commonly understood types. but all the planets can impact you financially or represent a financial gift or mode of operating.

the sun - actual gold. the vitality one experiences when one has plenty of resources at one's disposal, whether those are money, friends, time, or just a full refrigerator.

the moon - actual silver. the need one has for material resources and money, the way it can keep us healthy and happy, the way it can connect us to other people. the way we are nourished by food and goods, which we must buy with money, or barter for.

mercury - the exchange of money. the way it flows. really the current of the currency. mercury shares etymology with words like merchant, market, and mercantile.

venus - this is the attraction of money, the sparkle that people love about gold, the thing that convinces people to pay for your product or service.

mars - the lust for money, which can be dangerous, and its pursuit too. the hustle, for better or worse. at best it is good old fashioned hard work, at worst it is extreme devastating greed or miserliness.

ceres - the fruits of your labor, the way you reap what you sow. the harvest, literally and metaphorically.

jupiter - accumulated wealth, abundance of resources - money, time, food, helpful people, etc - the savings in your bank account, the nest egg, the big profit. jupiter does best when this is handled both wisely AND generously.

saturn - often associated with deprivation and scarcity, poverty, but can also if well-placed and well-aspected be wise frugality, talent with a budget, stretching a small amount to live a better life or better provide for others, and also inheritances, wills, trust funds, etc.

uranus - unexpected money. a lottery winning, a wild gift, finding a suitcase full of money buried in your yard...? nothing easy, nothing normal, nothing you worked much for.

neptune - this spiritual planet ALMOST transcends money, but it is also the soul of money, the spirit of how we can use resources to bolster each other and the world rather than to tear it down for greed's sake. neptune is the anti-greed. but it can also be deception or confusion about money, so be careful.

pluto - wealth that lasts. wealth that is impervious to inflation and the whims of humankind. huge inheritances. the bounty put forth by the earth itself. the metals and gemstones and minerals out of the dirt.
