#you have to rely much more on how your audience will understand that powerful longing feeling

Don't get me wrong, I love me some "plain text" gay content as much as the next guy, but there's nothing like that deep, deep subtext pining that allows you to explore the 'what ifs' on your own.
Of course Destiel immediately comes to mind because the fucking longing was RIGHT there
But also Hannibal, gay as shit. Longing so deep that it felt palpable. House. Wilson and Dr. House were just insanely, toxically attached at the hip and just w a n t e d. Psych. Gay gay gay.

Take A Risk and Don’t Write a Chosen One
This trope stands the test of time for some very good reasons: Audience wish-fulfillment as they live vicariously through the hero, automatic plot-induced agency for your protagonist, and automatic legitimate reasons for your protagonist to join the whirlwind adventure of the day.
I like chosen ones. We all have our favorite famous chosen ones and I’m not here to say the concept of a chosen one is bad at all.
However.
Those “automatic” windfalls that come pre-packaged with the trope can lead to the author taking shortcuts, or not thinking they have to put in more effort to write a compelling character, because they’re the “chosen one,” what more do you need?
Not writing your protagonist as commanded by the powers that be to participate in the plot forces you to get creative with why they’re here, what they want, and how they entrench themselves in the story. And most importantly, if the gods haven’t chosen them to act, they must now choose themselves to act.
I have never read Harry Potter and after its author-who-shan’t-be-named flushed her reputation down the toilet, I never will. I’ve seen the movies, they’re ok. I have no nostalgia-driven love for this franchise, and most of that comes from watching Harry be an incredibly boring protagonist.
Book readers correct me, but Harry is the poster child of “only exists so the audience can live vicariously” with generic heroic traits and nonexistent or at least unimportant side quirks and distinguishing hobbies, interests, or personality tics. He’s “brave” and “courageous” and “determined”... as most child protagonists of children’s books should be. He has zero flaws that come back to bite him in the ass. He acts the way he’s supposed to, not the way he should want to, as an independent being.
He’s the least interesting character in this entire cast, and I can’t stand Movie Ron. Ron, Hermione, Neville, or Draco would have made much more compelling protagonists and so much of this relies on the “Harry is important because the plot demands it” crutch.
Why is he the chosen one? Because his birthday happened at the right time of year? What is the story trying to say about the dichotomy between him and Voldemort? What about his personality, his wizard-societal stances on the many faux pas in this series, or the choices he makes, that makes him the chosen one? Why should I care?
You know who’s a great chosen one? Percy Jackson. Why? Because he understands the screwed up world he lives in on page 1. Being a demigod isn’t everything he ever dreamed and despite what Disney + wants you to believe, he’s got a crap bio dad who’s as disappointing in book one as Percy expects him to be.
He’s not even the chosen one by the end of the original series, and what a fantastic twist that was.
An infamously self-chosen protagonist has her own iconic hero quote: "I volunteer as tribute". Katniss is a nobody. She's not the evil president's daughter, she's not the child of a famously martyred revolutionary, she's just a girl who refuses to bow down to the reaping, refuses to let her sister get slaughtered, and volunteers for a death match that historically sees anyone living to survive another year cowering in relief. Yeah, she has some convenient skills in her archery and survival knowledge, but those matter because her district is starving, she learned through necessity.
Every second of her story, Katniss is fighting for her right to exist, and she only becomes a "chosen one" dragged around by the powers that be when she becomes marketable to the grand scheming of the actual revolutionaries, when, before, she didn't care about politics, she just wanted to save her sister. She matters because she chose compassion in a world where survival demands only serving yourself.
It’s so, so easy to start planning your book and make your cool fantasy world and figure out how your protagonist fits into it. So easy to say “well they’re the long-lost princess and the only heir to the throne” or “this magic amulet from her great great aunt is the key to saving the world” or “she’s the villain’s secret love child and the only one who can stop him because blood magic” or “this vague prophecy picked this little desert slave boy to bring balance to the Force”.
None of these stories are at fault for writing chosen ones.
But push yourself to let go of that crutch and come up with other reasons for why your hero is the hero. Usually this character has been isekai'd into magical-fantasy-land or magical-hidden-fantasy-urban-underbelly and you can still write that character.
Refusing to make them the chosen one demands one thing first and foremost: How is this outsider going to fight for their place to exist here? What do they bring to the table with their hobbies or interests or unique skillset that happens to be mighty applicable and useful in this new world? What is it about their personality that draws these strangers in? What do they want from this new world, and what are they willing to do to get it?
This choice demands you give your hero agency (though whether you give into those demands is up to you).
More importantly: I think it gives your audience agency, as they still live vicariously through their hero. Sure, lots of kids have lost their parents and live in horrid conditions like a cupboard under the stairs, but none of us will ever be “chosen” by omniscient wizard prophets. Harry would have immediately been a more compelling protagonist to me if he’d stumbled upon magical shenaniganry and fought for his place as some forgotten nobody mudblood.
Harry would have shown us his courage, instead of the story insisting he has it, we promise, just don’t think too hard about it.
Stop giving me characters who accept their destiny because God said so. Give me characters who fight tooth and nail for a destiny they discover on their own and I’ll root for them to succeed even more than someone compelled by force. Not everyone can be a chosen one, but everyone *can* choose themselves and decide to act.
With that said, I have an announcement! I have a new book in the works bereft of a prophecy-ordained hero. It’s time I put all my sagely writing wisdom to the test in a shiny published paperback myself. If you’ve learned anything from my blog in your writing journey, please subscribe for updates on the upcoming novel!

It's about like.
Willow fought to be seen as strong, because she is and for a very long time people not only convinced her that she wasn't, but that a lack of strength correlated to a lack of worth. And because of this past of having to prove herself and rediscover who she is and could be, Willow accidentally internalized the idea that others perception of her as strong is conditional on her always succeeding despite the obstacles, always staying in control and on top of things, always being the shoulder to cry on, etc etc.
And to an extent, she was right! Amity (unintentionally and well meaningly) refused to acknowledge willow's strength, leading to her having to prove herself, Boscha takes great pleasure in pointing out the chinks in willow's armour because Boscha feels better about herself when someone else is beneath her and she most often makes Willow that target. These are examples in which someone (correctly) paints Willow as pretending to be strong, but act like if they peeled back that facade, all you'd be left with is weak, half a witch willow. Whereas Hunter and Gus understand that even if you peel back willow's front of strength to see the more vulnerable side of her, there's still a strong foundation that takes little time in getting back into the swing of things once she's let it all out. Willow can be reliable and have debilitating anxiety. She can be whiney and needy and still be brave and powerful. Reliable people need someone to rely on too.
Willow's arc in labyrinth runners meant a lot to me because being consistently told that you are weak and need the help of people who love you but who struggle to understand you and see past their own need to protect you, by those people hit close to home and was incredibly validating to see. Somebody once compared the writing of those interactions to microaggressions, and intentional or not it resonated with me bc of that I think.
And now willow's arc in FTF completes this in a way that's very viscerally satisfying to me. Because proving your worth to people, no matter how successfully you do so, takes such a toll on your own mental well being and self perception. Bottling up your emotions so you don't drag others down is so difficult. And you deserve to cry like a big fucking baby if you've been doing this. Let it out!
For the future is an episode about being seen and heard, so to have Willow be so thoroughly seen and heard not just by the people who understand her best within the show, but also by the writers and consequently the audience is just.
It's what she deserves. And I love her very much

Dreams of Hyacinth 35
First / Previous / Next
"The Nanites?" Eastern didn't even try to hide her surprise.
City nodded. "Just as they guide you, they guide us. One need not be a Builder or Royal to feel them. In areas - like the Reach - with a high concentration they can be felt by everyone."
"But... the anti-Nanite gas?"
"Did not go everywhere. Nicholas North, the Reach is a Starbase first and foremost. Did you think we don't have airtight doors?" City's eyes laughed. "Additionally, it was in our best interests that the AI usurpers thought they were more successful than they were. Once the Nanites learned of the gas... countermeasures were created. We're quite safe here, and even a canister of gas opened up in front of you would likely only make you feel ill for a day or two." City turned and gestured towards the Reach. "Come. You're home. Let me show you around."
Nick and Eastern allowed themselves to be lead around by Sound of the City as she gave a tour. It was odd. The place was so different, and yet very familiar.
You're remembering Melody's memories as well as all the previous Empresses that have been here.
Nick was so startled that he nearly tripped.
Careful now, Emperor. All the eyes of the Reach are on you.
"So, you called for our rescue?"
We did. The Builders of the Reach love their Empress and Emperor, and jumped at the suggestion to come and rescue you. They want their Emperor and Empress.
"Once again, what about Raaden?"
She's abandoned the Reach. Like Sound of the City said, she hasn't been back since she left with Melody on the initial attack of Sol. Even Melody came back once or twice to check up on things.
"What are these rites City mentioned?"
Being Emperor or Empress is more than just us giving you to give orders with the Voice. You're rulers. There's a whole suite of ceremonies and tasks you have to do. The people like them, they show them that you care, and some of them help insure continuity. Touching the addressing stone on the Gate is an important one. The physical touch enables direct transfer of your memories to us. It's how we can remember past Empresses. They paused their explanation. Raaden never did it. She used us. She wants to rule, she doesn't want to be Empress.
"That sounds like a distinction without a difference." Eastern chimed in. Nick was taken slightly aback at her addition. She was able to listen to the Nanites while Nick spoke to them.
It makes all the difference. The Nanites were getting unusually firm. Nick was surprised to hear them speak with such vehemence. An Empress is more than us helping them. An Empress works with their people. An Empress is loved and respected. An Empress doesn't just accumulate wealth and power! Raaden is not Empress.
Nick and Eastern blinked. That was the first time the Nanites said that. "Earlier, when we first... met, you stated that Raaden was empress, but we showed promise and you wouldn't stop us from trying to defeat her. Now you say that she's not Empress. What happened?"
There was a long pause. So much so that Sound of the City stopped her tour and turned to them. "What's wrong?"
"Sorry, we're talking with the Nanites while you were giving your tour. I'm afraid we haven't been very good guests."
It's our fault. We were about to tell them we we reject Raaden's title as Empress and we got a little emphatic.
City nodded. "It's understandable. Imagine going though all the effort to help pick a successor and they do nothing to help further the cause."
Eastern blinked. "You can hear the Nanites too?"
"They can direct conversation at me, yes. They tell me it was not always this way. Originally they would only speak to an Empress."
Times change. We must change with them. Instead of relying on a single Empress to assist with our goals, we ask that all the Builders lend a hand. In exchange, we grant them audience."
"What are the Nanites telling you?" City turns and looks curious.
"Mostly how we're in charge of their empire now and why." Nick is trying to look nonchalant. Eastern's glance tells City that he's failing.
"Mostly how Raaden isn't... being an Empress. She's just consolidating power in Sol and becoming rich. She's in charge, sure, but she isn't - according to the Nanites - being an Empress.
City's feathers ruffled. Their version of a nod. "That's mostly what they told us Builders too." City turned and continued on.
They walked through the Reach a little longer, Nick and Eastern marveling at the throngs of people. Little shops selling things, people chatting and laughing. It reminded Eastern of the Basement on Hyacinth, but larger, more lively.
"Here we are." Sound of the City spread her wings and gestured. Nick and Eastern looked where she was pointing. It was... an amphitheater? Hundreds and hundreds of seats, with steep steps, leading up to a throne made out of a material that looked like thick, spun glass. She turned and the feathers on the top of her head shook gently. "The Throne. Come. why don't you two have a seat?"
She bounded up the steps two at a time. Nick looked at Eastern. She looked at him, then up at the Throne. "I don't know hon. This is all new to me too. City seems ready to accept us as the real deal just like that, almost before the Nanites gave their consent too."
Nick turned and looked out at the Reach. "Did you see people looking at us? We were getting lots of sideways glances as we walked here."
Eastern put her hands on her hips and cocked her head. "Well, we are wearing some pretty royal looking uniforms, even if ours are green instead of Melody's blue. Also-" She pointed above Nick's head. He glanced up and very faintly, a crown of light glowed above his head. "You've got the trappings of Royalty. People aren't stupid Nick. Come on, let's see the Throne."
Casting one last look back at the market, Nick followed Eastern up the stairs. Just what had they gotten themselves into?
At the top, Sound of The City waited for them excitedly. "Now, we're used to there being only an Empress, and the Nanites have granted both of you the power. We're not sure how the Throne will work now."
Eastern looked at it. Up close it still looked like it was made of green glass, and it still looked incredibly uncomfortable, but as she stared, she started to imagine how she and Nick could share the Throne. Hmm. Something itched at the back of her mind. Something just out of reach. Almost as if...
City squawked and jumped back a step as a tinkly rumbling noise started on the Throne. She watched as the Throne grew wider and spread up into the ceiling, it's tendrils branching and growing as enough connections for two were created, joining it to the Reach. "How did you do that?"
The spell broken, Eastern blinked and looked at City. "I'm... not sure. I just thought about what needed to change, and it... listened to me."
You'll find that in areas of high Nanite concentration, you'll be able to manipulate things directly. It was more common in the past. Empresses were able to create things from the matter around them. It's similar to how your wings and crown work.
"Shiny." Nick grinned. "Come on Eastern, let's have a seat." Taking her hand, Nick and Eastern sat down on the Throne at the same time.
Immediately, City noticed them stiffen, and as one their heads tipped back slightly, as if they were looking up at something interesting.
After a moment, Nick calls out, "City, can you hear me?"
His voice is coming from everywhere.
City looks at Nick. His eyes are closed and his mouth isn't moving. "Yes, I can Nick. You're connected to the Reach?"
"Yes, we are. It's... it's amazing. We can see everything."
"The Reach feels way more advanced than Hyacinth ever was. It's so automated. So many of these jobs I'm seeing here are jobs people do on Hyacinth."
City nods. "Before Empress Melody repaired us and got us back to full strength, they were jobs that were done by people here too.
"Hmm." Eastern says. "City, Has the Reach ever been used to build Gates?"
"Build Gates?" City is taken aback. "I do not know. It hasn't built a gate in the lifetime of anyone here."
Yes. The Reach can build Gates. We knew you were the correct choice, Nick and Eastern. We will show you how.
"Nick, I'm going to talk with the Nanites. I find it easier on the Throne. Why don't you go with City and check out the rest of the Reach and see if you can find a place for us to sleep."
Nick stood. As he did, he felt his awareness slide down from the whole of the Reach to his body. It was an odd sensation, though not that unpleasant. "Sure thing Eastern. You uh, going to be all right?"
Just for a moment, Eastern's eyes opened and she winked at Nick. Her voice still came from everywhere in the throne chamber. "I'll be fine. I've got... an idea. Something we can do to help Sel. I'll tell you more tonight."
Nick shrugged and looked at City. "It's fine. She gets secretive when she has a good idea." Nick gestured out. "City, will you show me more of the Reach?"
Sound of the City's feathers ruffled again and she led Nick out of the Throne. They spend the rest of the day touring the Reach. Despite himself, Nick flared his crown and made his wings just very slightly more prominent during the tour. Maybe it was because people on the Reach were so used to Builders, or maybe it was the concentration of Nanites there, but Nick felt more like himself for the first time since this whole thing started. As City walked him around and pointed out things, he'd get flashes of memory from the Nanites about them. Before too long, he had a decent idea about the main points of interest on Reach of the Might of Vzzx and City filled him in on who did what.
As someone who grew up on a planet, and then spent nearly a decade on Hyacinth, Nick was prepared to be disappointed by the Reach. It was thousands of years old, it felt like it was built to no plans at all, and it didn't even spin for gravity. Despite himself though, Nick found he was enjoying himself. Everyone he met on the Reach was interesting and took time to say hello. Of course, he knew that partly it was because he clearly was Royal, but still. Additionally...
"Is that a coffee stand?" Nick's eyes snapped to the tiny stand set among dozens of others on the promenade outside of what City said was the palace - which apparently was the hotel Royal Dawn, and before that was a palace again. He ran up to the stand and came across a human standing at a coffee stand fiddling at some complicated machinery. It didn't look like an espresso machine to Nick.
"You're running a coffee stand? Here? There's hardly any humans!" Nick looked around to confirm and sure enough, it was the person at the coffee stand and Nick. Everyone else was some other kind of sapient.
The coffee seller laughed. "Sure, but I sell other drinks too!" He gestured behind him. In addition to the espresso machine he had two other machines of varying complexity as well. "There's this tea the Aviens are wild about, but it has to be brewed under pressure. I don't know what they see in it honestly, it tastes like old sticks to me. They can't get enough of it, and I'm apparently one of the few people on this part of the Reach who was willing to get the equipment, so I do good business. The Mariens have a drink that they like that comes in a powder from... somewhere else on the Reach - I buy it from middlemen - that one is served cold. Anyway, I'm rambling. My name is Francis, nice to meet you, Emperor!" He bowed slightly.
Nick still hadn't gotten used to people bowing. "I'm Nick, nice to meet you too, Francis. Say, can you make me a flat white? I haven't had a real coffee in what feels like forever."
Francis' eyes lit up. "I'd love to! I hardly ever get to make coffee for anyone other than myself. I kept all the coffee equipment in case..." Here, Francis' face fell. "Well in case Melody or Raaden came back, but it's been fifteen years, they're not coming. I suppose I keep it going in their memory. Melody was a coffee fiend. I came too late to really meet her, I was onboard for her last visit but she was so busy then... Still! One flat white. I even have some real milk here. It's imported from Luna so you know it's good."
While Francis bustled around making coffee, Nick turned to Sound of the City. "It seems like everyone really liked Melody."
City turns away from Nick and looks out at the crowd. "We really loved her. She was so kind, so understanding. She really made an effort to learn about us, about the Reach." She turned back to look at Nick, her eyes piercing. "Empress Melody was something special. We are all lesser for her loss."
Francis slid over the steaming cup to Nick. "No charge, Emperor. Nice to meet you."
Nick took the cup and held it in both hands for a moment. He breathed in the steam, and enjoyed the aroma. With his eyes shut, he took a sip. Perfection. "Francis, I can tell you, with no exaggeration in my voice that this is the best coffee I've had in at least five years."
Francis grinned and bowed again. "I am so happy to hear that, Emperor. Please come back anytime."
Nick turned to City. "You said something about a Palace? Let's go see it. When Eastern disconnects, I think we have some things to discuss."
They walked away from the coffee stand, towards the Royal Dawn.

LIVERPOOL OF THE WEST COAST
Scott: What about San Francisco?
Zappa: I was around when they were just beginning to manufacture that whole scene. In fact, when the Mothers were first starting out they invited us to move to San Francisco and get in on all the "Hot Action." The Family Dog had a scene going with some local lawyers and businessmen and they were going to make it the Liverpool of the West Coast. Granted, they had a lot of the raw materials but it did take some human engineering and a little convincing for some of the monied forces to make it come off as a scene. Places like the Avalon and the Fillmore just don't happen without some kind of money. So, it wasn't just a bunch of hairy folk who got together and "we're just going to live here and do our thing."
Scott: How did Berkeley figure into it?
Zappa: I didn't see that much inter-relating between the Hashbury hippy types and the Berkeley types. Berkeley was on a more intellectual level. The hippy scene appeared to be sort of chemical-glandular oriented. I'm referring to altered consciousness a go-go in all of its beaded manifestations.
Scott: Does the psychedelic scene fit anywhere.
Zappa: I think it was a necessary smoke screen.
Scott: For what:
Zappa: For what's really happening.
Scott: What is really happening?
Zappa: I'll tell you when it happens.
Scott: (bleeding)
INFILTRATE
Zappa: I talk to a lot of kids at concerts and they ask if I'm a hippy and I tell them, "No, I'm a businessman." We don't have a big hippy audience. We get short haired kids who have a reasonable amount of social consciousness. I get a chance to talk to them and they ask for advice: "Should I quit school or go on?" I always tell them you should infiltrate. Hurry up and take over your father's job and do it right. It's fortunate that something like Psychedelia and Haight-Ashbury and all the rest of that goes on because it takes the focus off of the possibility that somebody who looks clean, straight, wholesome, right-wing and harmless is going to come in there and just do it while they're not looking. It's a much more frightening concept thinking it's some hairy creep that's going to take over your job. It's not going to be that way, it's going to be some guy who is straight.
Scott: Who's frightened?
Zappa: Right-wing elements who tend to show up most in positions of power. They become worried about things, you know, threatening appearances. It's like they need something to worry about. It's a paranoia oriented society. We've got to have some kind of fear and that's it for this year. It's almost passé to be afraid of the bomb.
Scott: Do you get a chance to talk to many college students?
Zappa: We've played a few colleges and usually after the show we're invited to a frat party and, we watch them drink. They appear to be well on their way to going down the tubes and succumbing to the same sort of social pressures that helped make their mothers and fathers nowhere. They are still wearing Madras pants – mentally. THE MENTAL MADRAS ! ! !
Scott: Is the drinking part of it significant.
Zappa: Well, from what I see, there is enough of it happening to devote a proportionate amount of our lyric content to the problem of drinking parents in relation to their children. It's much harder to communicate with Mom and Dad when they're drunk – it's bad enough when they're sober, but if they're wasted, it's bestial.
THE BIG NOTE
Scott: In all of the social change going on, does God fit in anywhere?
Zappa: Sure, well, he runs it, doesn't he?
Scott: Does He run your life?
Zappa: Yes, absolutely. But, His packaging might be a little bizarre for you to understand. My God is different from your God.
Scott: Who is your God?
Zappa: I haven't named Him. I don't think it's necessary. A lot of people have to rely on images: "There He is with the long white beard, white hair, and flowing white robe – GOD!" I don't see it that way. It's closely related to music. I don't perceive God on an emotional level.
Scott: How then? On a more structured level?
Zappa: Order comes into it. Like on the next album, "Lumpy Gravy," there is some dialogue integrated into the music where two characters are discussing The Big Note. That's the closest that I can come to describing to you what I think of God. He's like a Big Note. Everything, it would appear, is constructed from vibrations. Light is a vibration, sound is a vibration and it's quite possible that, when you break them down, the atoms themselves are nothing more than vibrations of this Big Note. And, in dealing with vibrations, one might be able to become closer in tune to some sort of Universal Force – if you want to get down to that corny, cheesy level. But, that's the way I see it.
Scott: Does this allow for any latitude?
Zappa: Sure, you've got a choice all the time. If you're perceptive you can see many choices that will get you from point A to point B and you can even figure out what will happen with each of the choices. But, I always keep my eye on point B – where it's really supposed to happen. And right now point B for me is the 1972 election.
Scott: You seem fated for it somehow.
Zappa: Well, look, fate – big deal! When your dishwasher wears out you buy a new one.

I've learned just how much I appreciate "Decentralization" Not the shitty fucking crypto bro "Yooo dude if we just do the fetishization of capital harder it'll surely be decentralized, surely we just need to do it harder bro" kinda shit But the idea that like, even if the systems that maintain the standards that maintain social power/value of certain things we care about goes under (Whether through bankruptcy, lack of resources, lack of userbase, etc) I will still be able to maintain the personal value I find or have already found through relying on those systems. So it would be better if those systems were more easily able to be opted out of to make that transition smoother if/when it happens and so I can maintain my own personal standards!! (Not fetishizing individualism, just saying that I am an individual person who wants to be able to force my own standards to be applicable to my own life. This very much is in support of giving power to the workers forced to use these systems the power to more easily destroy the systems they work within if they need to and force their own social standards to become the new system. All my posts are attempts at corrupting your mind with commie brain washing, you must understand this because once you do you might begin to accept this as well)
I've been thinking about swapping from Discord over to Matrix for a little while now for this exact reason but didn't know just how far reaching it applied. It contextualizes why I wanted to swap over to firefox much more aptly rather than just doing it because I simply hated chromium. I wanted more. It also makes be better appreciate tumblr, and why I felt so able to actually commit to a social meda for once. It's because the blog is my own and I always have the export button right in front of me. If I don't like my blog, I can make a new one. If I don't like tumblr I can leave tumblr and still have my blog (just without the value of being able to reach a wider audience... which I didn't even want to begin with!!! I just wanted an audience and I already have that with my friends and current mutuals!!! I don't care about audience growth, I'd rather deeper entrench the social investments I already have made in the social entities I enjoy). And since I'm no longer worried about this being my entire being (No longer fetishizing social media), I am no longer worried about this being my own shot at having a blog, I can take more risks!!
I can see posts my wife sends me where she's like "I don't know if I can reblog this or not" and say "No you totally can if you want, in fact I want to so I'm going to reblog it right now" and it pushes both me and her to be more honestly depraved with each other, which is lovely!! It lets me show off that honest depravity with people who are okay with seeing it more easily too!! It's just super liberating and I would only be able to feel this way if escape was possible and I have a safety net insuring I can make sure that net continues to exist and continues to widen. Sure, it requires a certain amount of tech literacy, a certain amount of economic literacy, a metric shit ton of political and class literacy, and at least one other person willing to help me, but hey I have all those things so I know my net will work for me!! Anyway, this was just more agency-posting. If you are empathizing, sympathizing, or are envious I'd recommend starting by figuring out what you want your safety net to capture, why you want that to be able to be captured, what happens if you're wrong (not if you're wrong, just what would happen first), and then whether or not your current net actually does or doesn't already capture what you want it to so you know where to put your focus into!!
And if you want advice for where to start on that I highly recommend at least skimming Das Kapital (Or just Capital or Capital: A Critique of Political Economy or whatever you know it as, labels are meaningless beyond the meaning we want them to have, as long as you know that I'm talking about Marx's economic analysis book that's fine) and coming to an understanding of what value is and what money is and how they are not linked. That's what allowed me to get this far, and I think if more people were able to not only unlink their personal value from money but also take steps to limit their own desires and pursuing of capital to better focus on their "real" value more and more people would be able to be "this far" as well!

Not looking to dump on you about the state of fandoms in your inbox but the MA fandom is the most Kpop adjacent fandom I have ever been a part of that shares some similar characteristics. It has been really eye opening to see the power of trending and just how much the efforts of the fans really do pay off in the promotion of the celebrities and the opportunities they receive but IMO you have to have one fan buy enough tickets to account for half of the presale record the movie set it is genuinely a bit demoralizing. It's amazing that fans are super committed and there was clearly interest in the movie as half the presale tickets did come from genuine fans and the public but I sometimes fear that people are too focused on the numbers games. These actions show the passion that fans have for these celebs but a person's work and the results should speak for themselves. I mean fandoms are changing constantly so maybe this is the new normal but for someone who isn't used to it it's been a bit annoying trying to find out what the actual reception of the movie is amongst the general audiences and how well the movie is actually performing in the box office.

you're not wrong with that and you're not the first to have noticed this rapid shift and interest in Thai stars recently.
for example this article was published on HBSg (which has a very friendly relationship with mileapo thanks to Kenneth Goh) and resyndicated in other Sg media outlets in the last couple of months.
Tumblr media
As for whether that's good or bad, I think you've hit the nail on the head that business as usual changes, and this appears to be a new business as usual.
I mean, western celebs are also taking advantage of this as well. Some more egregious than not. TSwift recently got called out by her own fans for one of these common kpop practices of releasing multiple album versions specifically to drive up sales (cough line her own pockets with fans' money).
(op has already deleted her account now as she said she would but I have it cached from earlier)
Tumblr media
as far as I'm aware, this was also a ticket donation project so not just a single person buying tickets and leaving the seats empty, or the equiv of a single fan buying dozens of albums which they can't listen to.
I actually think this is a much better use of fan funds than some of the projects like the Time Square ad placement for Man Suang... which of course was useless because there was no international release date announced 🥲 you want your advertising dollars to go somewhere effective and this was pretty much an equivalent of throwing money into a river. (sorry to the FCs who ran this.. I understand how hard it was to organize things like this so I tried to avoid criticizing but the effort could've gone somewhere else...)
as for the "actual reception", it's actually a relatively new phenomenon that we're able to hear first hand the thoughts of common viewers on the film à la Rotten Tomatoes. historically, films relied on good critic reviews to drive foot traffic. I actually have so many negative opinions about forums like RT (which suffer from the same problems as film critics... ie who is frequenting the site) but that's for another time.
ultimately the one who controls your fandom experience is you, so if you don't want to engage at this level or see this kind of behavior, just remove these kinds of more extreme (passionate?) fans from your line of sight. As long as they're not hurting anyone, including themselves in a financial sense, I don't feel like it's appropriate to moralise on the best way to be a fan. these fandom spaces are predominantly female-occupied when male dominated fan spaces (see, sports and video games) are not subject to the same amount of scrutiny over the level of zeal.

oh hey apparently there's a new souls like that got announced and it's set in like italy
I really hope it takes off so from soft has real competition after basically having a monopoly on this entire genre since they created it
Lies of P was an amazing start but it was too difficult to reach a wider audience
like I love this game, but I do have to admit that if you don't have undertale amounts of determination you will not get past the third boss
genuinely would not recommend to anyone who hasn't beat a souls like before
for a first souls like I recommend elden ring 10000%
the game is easy enough to understand and there's nothing super complicated going on
margit will push your ass in, but he's supposed to get you exploring and come back later
then there's godrick who serves as a really good boss to get you used to combat, but is incredibly easy once you figured out the basics
delayed attacks, long combo strings and complete bullshit that I still don't know how to dodge properly after 1200 hours
he has it all!
I also saw a hilarious comment on fextralife that was like "having to rely on skill is a failure to prepare" which is absolutely stupid, but it does have some truth as in if you struggle with a fight, there's always a lot of options to prepare for it
for example you could change the ash of war on your weapon, get talismans for specific elemental resistances, put different tears in your physick and so so much more
the game gives you countless options to do fucking whatever
I'm currently trying a bunch of builds and one of them uses the bloodhounds fang and buff incantations to make it stronger
another uses a strength scaling curved sword with a talisman that buffs me the lower my equip load, so I don't have armor, but do more damage
a pure mage where I cast glintstone sorceries
a mage that uses a huge brick hammer in addition to spells
and a spell caster that uses both incantations and sorceries together, which gives incredible versatility and power in the late game, while making the early game much more difficult
and there's like so many more I can still try
basically elden let's you do literally whatever and it will be at the very functional

thinking a lot about caleb’s 16 charisma and how carefully he chooses his words and about his proficiency in deception, persuasion, and intimidation. thinking about how a lot of what caleb says can be confusing because i feel like he is often at a war with himself between saying what he really means and feels vs. saying what is “right” or the most effective in a present situation.
i find it interesting that you can interpret a lot of what caleb says as both his genuine feelings and as something carefully constructed to fit a certain person, situation, or goal, depending on what he wants out of it, i.e. comforting fjord or any of the other party members, telling beau about his past to get into the cobalt soul library but carefully omitting key details. like yes, he wants to comfort them, but he also can’t quite remember how to talk to people just as “friends,” with no ulterior motive, transactions, pursuing a certain agenda, or racking up favors (this is where i feel his social awkwardness comes from, the stilted but earnest way he says he’s learning how to “people again” despite seeming to be very good at negotiating, bargaining, or deceiving. friendship is different than understanding how to use people for your own gain).
i find it especially tragic that ikithon probably saw bren’s somewhat instinctual sense of empathy and bleeding heart and warped it for his own personal gain, to teach him how to use that to deceive and use others. this also explains caleb’s later insistence that he’s been “using” the nein, which veth later points out just sounds like he’s relying on others, just as they all are, because they are friends and family. for all his understanding of people, he has to relearn how to form relationships with them that aren’t a means to an end, which becomes super evident in the campaign.
i think caleb finds himself wanting to change because of how much he cares about the nein, despite everything in him telling him not to. he finds himself trying, after all these years, to be a good friend, but it’s fucking hard — after so long of learning to be a practiced deceiver and manipulator who thought of friendship as something you would never deserve again, how do you try to begin again?
i find it hopeful that caleb’s immense capacity for empathy and understanding others stayed constant with him through everything and that he was almost helpless to it (i also find it important that while caleb was helpless to his heart, actually trying to grow and be a better person took intent and practice, not something that just happened. it was something he had to intentionally work towards for a long time) — that no matter how much he wanted to just gain more power and pursue his ultimate goal, he still found himself loving veth beyond a mere partnership but as someone like family, and that he grew attached to her and loved the mighty nein and started to do things for them that didn’t really help him at all but simply because it was important to them and. and that he still loved astrid and wulf after everything. this is how caleb, who is constantly afraid he is exactly what ikithon made him, really shows that he isn’t him (“not yet,” to quote beau) for several reasons: because he tries, because he cares about hurting them, because he has a heart that loves, despite everything.
i find it very compelling that to have a very perceptive understanding of people can either lead to an immense capability for empathy or manipulation, and that it is a choice caleb often wars with — saying or doing the most effective thing that he was taught to do or acts of love that are ultimately riskier, left you more vulnerable, and are a gamble in its effectiveness. it’s a struggle he faces for most of the campaign as he grows, and i find it very realistic that the change doesn’t happen in an instant — it happens gradually, where the audience starts to become confused between deception and vulnerability, where we start to see a mix of the two. i find it important that just because caleb’s first attempts at comfort don’t start as something wholly vulnerable and straight-forward, that he’s still trying and that most of it still comes from his heart, even if he’s also still trying to control a situation, i.e the “you were not born with venom in your veins” speech to essek. that when caleb would have never been vulnerable with these colorful group of assholes, he finds himself wanting to open his heart and trying, in his stilted, confusing way, to let himself love again, simply for its own sake. i find it very human, hopeful, and super compelling to watch play-out throughout the campaign as he grows more into himself.

Egotist (Familiar Archetype)
Tumblr media
Whether it is in a movie, show, game, or other media, some of the most iconic familiars for mage characters have had distinctive personalities that resonate with the audience.
One such archetypical familiar is the familiar that thinks it is in charge. These so-called egotists are either pampered pets that demand attention and care, or perhaps their magically-granted intelligence came with delusions of grandeur, believing that their magic companion is their servant.
Heck, perhaps sometimes there is some merit to this belief, especially when it comes to the familiars of witches or shamans, which serve as the bridge between the mage and the otherworldly beings that entreat for power.
Others still might be familiars of the magical mentor sort, such as those that guide Chosen One Paladins and Magical Children Vigilantes, who demand obedience in addition to attention to their tutelage.
Regardless of how grounded in reality the familiar’s sense of superiority is, it is up to the mage with how they deal with it. Perhaps they also believe the mage is in charge, or perhaps they merely humor them. Others may clash with their familiars constantly, which may lead to interesting conflict, but remember that unless it is for story reasons, the familiar probably shouldn’t completely deny their services in pursuit of the party’s goals.
Normally, a familiar grants their master enhanced senses and a minor boost to a skill, save, or other minor ability. However, these pampered creatures instead bolster themselves with such things, drawing upon the abilities and associations of their species to benefit themselves.
However, they do learn to directly communicate with their master much faster, all the better to give orders and make demands of them.
Additionally, while a normal bond allows the mage to share spells they can normally only cast on themselves, these familiars can instead demand that their companion cast beneficial spells on them from afar, letting them cast buffs that normally require a touch, and so on.
What’s more, rather than letting their mage scry upon them, they instead subvert the bond to scry on them instead, which can come in handy if they become captured, as long as other party members can understand the familiar, anyway.
This archetype inverts the purpose of many familiar abilities of the, well, familiar. The uses for this are not immediately obvious, though. If you’re going for a build centered around buffing your familiar, however, this can have plenty of uses. This archetype can’t stack with the mauler archetype, so rather than buffing them as a combat familiar, instead, they can make excellent scouts, social skill or general skill monkey, and so on.
The major conflict that this archetype generates is the fact that the familiar in question believes it is in charge, and unless you retrain out of it, it is not likely to change. In fact, retraining out of it could be a perfect way to give mechanical benefit to a familiar growing to respect their caster. In any case, the familiar and caster will have to find a way to get along in order to function, and when they cannot, it might be an entire side quest or storyline to convince them to work together.
King Tillamook is an imposing foot and a half tall, but that doesn’t stop him from attempting to assert his will on the world, the small monkey relying upon his “jester”, the mirthful vanara wizard Lasshi to interact with the world. For his part, Lasshi finds this all hilarious, playing up his role as a mere servant to throw off his foes.
Most quasits at least pretend to be lowly, if vicious servants under their master when called to serve as familiars. Apparently nobody told that to Akkibashanag, servant of the fiend-conjuring sorcerer Kovvik, who stokes the diminutive demon’s ego, pretending that all of his plots are the quasit’s ideas, and often convinces him to “inspect” the defenses of their hideout: living fiendish traps called urannags.
A cassisian angel in disguise, Togthiel finds their role of guiding the magical child Kira to be beneath them, but one they will do to their best of ability. Kira, meanwhile, hates being ordered around by “shiny hat too big for it’s boots” leading to many a passionate argument.

NuShowrunner is going to have Gimple so far up his ass that SG will be peeking out between his tonsils. Zabel most likely wants a paycheck and the spinoff might look attractive to someone who has experience but isn't very relevant. (Mercy Street was a good number of years ago.) I doubt he feels like he won the lottery, though. He's just a guy who wants to pay his bills and for all we know, he could be massive Carol fan. I think he was picked because he has enough experience that there will be some sort of product at the end and his credits are very traditional, which fits the 1980s mindset (all male, all white, with lots of things that go boom) this spinoff seems built around.
AK spent two season rebuilding the show and Carol and Daryl's relationship is at the core of her vision, but what she can deliver in 11C depends on Gimple. I don't think he dares to mess with Carol because he might need her down the line, but he definitely has an iron grip on the season. Narratively, the only ending to TWD that makes sense is that either Daryl is forcibly removed from orbiting Carol, or he's going after Carol and runs into Rick while trying to find her, but Scott Gimple isn't real big on narrative cohesion or emotional realism, so nobody should hold their breath.
I'm so tired of muppets who somehow keep failing upward. (It's not even that hard to be a good boss: just look after your damn talent! All of them, including the ones whom you don't like or are jealous of. They are what makes you look good.) I understand why AMC needed to get rid of Gimple without firing him, but waiting too long and moving him into a position with more power? They must have known that he couldn't deliver on the features because he ran the show into the ground and a vanity title should have been plenty enough.
[I realize this isn't spreading any kind of cheer, so feel free not to post it. I should be motivating you, not making you more disillusioned about the business side of things. Sorry about that. :( On the bright side: you don't work for Gimple!]
I always love getting your insight. Somehow it calms my mind that's always racing to make sense of things. I completely agree that those two avenues, either Daryl getting taken or Carol getting taken, make the most if not the only narrative/emotional sense at this point despite the "vanishing loved one" being completely overused and just making a terrible series ending. It would definitely convince me enough to watch the bro show, but like you said, unlikely to happen since Gimple and AMC only seem to care about maintaining their male audience. The failing upward trend for men infuriates me. To think how different S11 and this spinoff situation would've turned out if they had just let Angela craft her vision. I'm not sure I'll ever get over it.
Question for you. There's a lot of bts/filming evidence to suggest Daryl and Carol are going to have tons of scenes together in 11C. But with everything going on lately, how much do you think AMC will even promote Caryl? Will they promote them harder to try to lure us back in or do you think they're going to try to cut their losses with that fanbase and focus on drawing in the Rick crowd. I'm wondering how realistic it is for them to think they can rely that heavily on Rick to keep them afloat.

Danielle Verboski Realtor Mystic CT
The long-awaited estate closing is finally approaching after numerous delays. The cherry on top would be a day spent relaxing at a spa before the treatment. The real estate agent's career may have taken a dramatic turn after purchasing this beachfront property in Connecticut. Now that you have this most recent knowledge, you can proceed with confidence. Among our many offerings is building management real estate agent near me Many memorable first dates have taken place in plazas and lotteries. With the lights dimmed, everything would be just right. Because we are on our own schedule, we can savor every moment of the trip.
Most people live in modest seaside towns or in suburban areas.
We can make a bigger difference if we can motivate other people to live our lives according to our values.
Tumblr media
Helping the oppressed was my sacred obligation. Being timid has made me prone to stuffing my feelings. It typically makes a difference when more individuals lend a hand to the oppressed. The secret to success is quick and precise thinking.
You could find a wealth of information from real estate brokers and agents. Apply this knowledge when the moment is right. I can state without a doubt that they are special because of all that we have been through together. When everything else has been tried and failed, the last resort is to just let one's mind wander. Nobody ever told us this. Whenever you take command of a ship, the game resets.
The layout is somewhat recognizable to me as I spent my childhood here. It seemed like all eleven years of my hard work had been in vain. Your current clientele is relying on you to show greater compassion and empathy. Our firm's success is built on our unwavering commitment to understanding and achieving our clients' goals.
How difficult was it to overcome your anxiety when speaking in front of an audience? I would highly suggest Remax to anyone looking for a real estate agent. All of them are filled with a lot of irrationality. As soon as possible, by phone or text, please get in touch with me so we can arrange to stop by. We shall be forever grateful for your unwavering support throughout the years. Your inquiry into our team is greatly appreciated. Much obliged.
As far as local realty businesses go, we suggest Heritage and Remax. Our extensive realty industry network allows us to notify our clients of freshly listed properties in Connecticut ahead of the competition. Because of their extensive expertise in the field, real estate agents affiliated with RE/MAX® will spare no effort in meeting your needs. As soon as the property agreements are finalized, access will be made easy. Writing it down will give me more power to give it to you. Their seeming tranquility is just astounding. Finally, everyone can unwind. It doesn't matter what occurs. Buying and selling property does not necessitate a plan. We have all put in a lot of time and effort. Take great care when handling it. Take a moment to think about the alternative—that the property sale could fall through because of something unforeseen. Replace evidence with appearances. It could have changed the outcome. We need to come up with fresh concepts all the time if we want to keep up with the competition. This data is available to you 24/7.
One way to estimate your home's value is to research recent sales of similar properties in your neighborhood. How much do you think the house could sell for given the present market conditions? The best way to get an objective assessment of a home is to ask people you know for recommendations. Both they and their superiors were satisfied with the outcome. As soon as we get the confirmation of the sale, the "SOLD" message will be promptly removed.
Because of what you've done, the residents of Mystic, Connecticut will be eternally grateful to you. You motivate me with your commitment to bettering yourself.  Danielle Verbleski is one of them. Over the last several decades, Stonington and Waterford's real estate markets have grown at an astounding rate. Agent Danielle Verboski is reliable. The link we gave allows you to view Danielle's schedule. If she's poor, she'll still give you the royal treatment. Danielle is highly esteemed by the Connecticut municipalities of Stonington and Waterford. If you would want more detailed market information and are interested in buying or selling a property, don't hesitate to contact Realtor Danielle. She will respond quickly. Whenever you ask for her assistance, she is more than happy to provide it. The wealthy persisted in perpetuating the falsehood that the "American Dream" was an illusion. After reading your real estate market study, she felt better. Real estate transactions can be lengthy and complicated, so it's best not to rush through them. Before making a final decision, make sure you've considered every possible outcome. Nothing has come of our diplomatic efforts thus far. It would mean a lot to me if you could give me the number of a trustworthy real estate agent in the Waterford/Stonington, CT region. I would be profoundly affected by it. We would much appreciate your kindness. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help.  Do not hesitate to seek our assistance if you ever find yourself in a challenging situation. Imagine for a second that Danielle Verboski decided she no longer wanted to answer your letters. Always keep the end result in mind when you carry out routine tasks. In my opinion, if we put our minds to something, we can achieve anything. Even a brief chat can reveal a lot about the individuals we encounter.

SEO for Construction Companies Rank Your Business In Google's Top
Tumblr media
In the ever-evolving digital era, construction companies are realizing the crucial role that Search Engine Optimization (SEO) plays in enhancing their online presence. As technology advances, the construction industry is not exempt from the need to establish a robust digital footprint. In this article, I explore the vital role of SEO for construction companies, its profitability, and why hiring an SEO specialist could be the key to skyrocketing your business to the top of Google search results.
The Role of SEO in Construction Companies
1. Establishing a Strong Online Presence
In a world where people turn to the Internet for almost every need, having a robust online presence is imperative for construction companies. SEO acts as the digital bridge that connects your business to potential clients actively searching for construction services. From optimizing your website for relevant keywords to ensuring a seamless user experience, SEO lays the foundation for a powerful online identity.
2. Targeting Local Markets
Construction businesses often rely on local clientele. SEO strategies, such as local keyword optimization and Google My Business management, help construction companies appear prominently in local search results. This not only increases visibility but also enhances the chances of attracting clients in your geographical vicinity.
3. Showcasing Expertise Through Content Marketing
Quality content is king in the digital realm. SEO involves creating and optimizing content that not only appeals to search engines but also provides valuable information to your audience. For construction companies, this could include blog posts, case studies, and project showcases that highlight your expertise and build trust with potential clients.
4. Building Credibility Through Backlinks
SEO involves not only on-site optimization but also off-site strategies. Acquiring high-quality backlinks from reputable sources in the construction industry signals to search engines that your business is credible and authoritative. This, in turn, boosts your website’s ranking and visibility.
Is SEO Profitable for Construction Businesses?
Yes, and Here’s How: Hire Now
1. Increased Visibility Equals More Opportunities
By implementing effective SEO strategies, construction companies can secure higher rankings on search engine results pages (SERPs). This increased visibility means more potential clients discover your business when searching for construction services, leading to a higher likelihood of securing new projects.
2. Targeted Traffic for Higher Conversions
SEO not only attracts more traffic to your website but also ensures that the right kind of traffic reaches your pages. By optimizing for relevant keywords and local search terms, you’re more likely to connect with individuals actively seeking construction services, resulting in higher conversion rates.
3. Cost-Effective Marketing
Compared to traditional marketing methods, SEO is a cost-effective way to market your construction business. Once your website is optimized, it continues to attract organic traffic without incurring ongoing advertising costs. This long-term approach makes SEO a sustainable and budget-friendly investment.
How Much Time Is Required to Rank My Business in Google?
The timeline for achieving top rankings on Google varies based on several factors, including the competitiveness of your industry, the current state of your website’s SEO, and the strategies implemented. While some businesses may start seeing results in 3 to 4 months, it’s essential to understand that SEO is a long-term game. Consistent efforts, continuous monitoring, and strategic adaptations are key to maintaining and improving your rankings over time.

2. Can Social Media Impact My Construction Company’s SEO?
While social media signals themselves may not directly influence SEO, an active social media presence can indirectly benefit your construction business. It can drive traffic to your website, enhance brand visibility, and provide additional platforms for engagement with your audience.
3. Is Local SEO Really Necessary for Construction Companies?
Absolutely. Local SEO is crucial for construction companies targeting a specific geographic area. It ensures that your business appears in local search results, making it more accessible to potential clients in your vicinity.
4. How Often Should I Update My Website’s Content for Optimal SEO?
Regularly updating your website’s content is beneficial for SEO. Whether through blog posts, project showcases, or service updates, keeping your content fresh signals to search engines that your site is active and relevant.
5. What’s the Difference Between On-Page and Off-Page SEO, and Why Does It Matter for Construction Companies?
On-page SEO focuses on optimizing elements directly on your website, such as content and meta tags. Off-page SEO involves strategies outside your site, like building backlinks. Both are crucial for a holistic SEO approach, enhancing your construction company’s online presence and authority.
Conclusion
In conclusion, SEO is not just a buzzword; it’s a powerful tool that can propel construction companies to new heights in the digital landscape. Unlocking the Entrepreneurial Power of Modern Musicians
In the dynamic world of the modern music business, being a successful artist requires more than just raw talent. It demands a fundamental shift in mindset—one that places the artist firmly in the driver's seat of their career. This article will explore how modern musicians can harness their entrepreneurial spirit to achieve greater success. While artistry and personal development are crucial aspects of this journey, our focus here is on the art of becoming a more entrepreneurial musician.
Embracing Entrepreneurship in Music
The New Paradigm Traditionally, musicians have often seen themselves as purely creative beings, leaving the business side of their careers to managers or labels. However, the modern music landscape demands a new paradigm—one in which artists actively participate in shaping their own destiny. This paradigm shift places artists in the role of entrepreneurs.
Building a Brand In today's music industry, each musician is a brand. Successful artists recognize the power of their personal brand and harness it to connect with their audience. They understand that their brand tells a story, one that goes beyond their music and communicates their value as an artist and individual.
The Entrepreneurial Mindset To be entrepreneurial in music means having a mindset that seeks opportunities, takes calculated risks, and is driven by a clear vision. It's about recognizing that, like any business, a music career has assets, liabilities, and potential rewards. This entrepreneurial mindset is crucial for modern musicians who aspire to thrive in the industry. The Entrepreneurial Journey
Identifying Opportunities Entrepreneurial musicians continuously seek opportunities for growth and expansion. This could involve exploring new performance venues, collaborating with other artists, or developing unique marketing strategies to reach a wider audience. How do you compare B2C and B2B?
When it comes to comparing B2C (business-to-consumer) and B2B (business-to-business), there are quite a few key differences that set the two models apart.
First and foremost, B2C is focused on selling products and services to end consumers, while B2B involves the exchange of products and services between two businesses.
B2C businesses typically have a wide variety of customers with different needs, so they must be able to cater to all types of customers.
B2B businesses, on the other hand, typically only have a few customers and focus on building long-term relationships with them.
“In fact, McKinsey & Company reports that the number of channels B2B customers regularly use in the buying process doubled from five in 2016 to 10 in 2021” - Retail Dive and TreviPay
Another key difference is the buying process.
In B2C, the buying process is often shorter and more straightforward since the customer is usually making a one-time purchase.
In B2B, however, the buying process is often much longer since the customer often needs to make multiple purchases over time.
Moreover, since the customer is a business, they are likely to be more price-sensitive and may require more customized solutions.
B2C marketing is often focused on brand awareness and customer loyalty, while B2B marketing is more focused on generating leads and closing sales.
“B2B brands invest in content marketing approaches to ultimately uncover and convert better prospects, increased profits, and stronger customer retention” - Convince & Convert Report
B2C businesses typically employ marketing strategies such as advertising, social media, video marketing, influencer marketing, and email campaigns to reach their target audience,
While B2B businesses often rely more heavily on referrals, affiliate programs, email marketing, content marketing, SEO, video marketing, and trade shows.
“71% of B2B Marketers Use Video Marketing, While 66% of B2C Do” – VidStudioAI Email
Overall, both B2C and B2B have their own unique advantages and disadvantages. However, by understanding the key differences between them, you can make better decisions about which model is best for your business.
