"Yoongi-hyung" A soft voice calls him, a voice that used to lull him to sleep now seems deeper as the years have gone by.

"Jiminie." Their eyes met and their memories together come crashing back like waves. He has been lost in the sea of what they once had even after all those years and now seeing him again he felt like drowning. "What made you drop by Seoul?" Yoongi adds trying his best to sound so nonchalant.

"Jungkook and Taehyung invited me for a drink tonight so I decided to drop by here to see how things are" Jimin explains looking around the older's studio. The soft light of his studio caresses the younger's skin as nostalgia etches his skin settling down to the bones that he so desperately tries to forget.

"Oh okay. I hope you enjoy" Yoongi says giving him a brief smile.

Silence.

The deafening silence cages him in the burning room of his mind. His body was burning, breaking down, tearing apart all the seams. The burns it left lives on his skin like birthmarks as if it was a souvenir from the ghosts of his past.

"Hyung" Jimin calls, his calming voice still having the power to bring him back from his trance. Yoongi sees the way Jimin plays with the wedding band on his ring finger, bringing Yoongi back to the sad reality.

People have always believed Yoongi as someone cold and hard-hearted, but he knows, deep down, he has a heart because he felt it breaking inside his ribcage.

"You should come by Busan sometimes, the kids miss you" Jimin offers "Sure, I'll bring sugar with me" Yoongi answers as Jimin smiles at him, but it hurts. Yoongi feels his chest heavy and hollow all at once. It was as if he was longing for the comfort of the past to erase away the present.

Grief.

Can you grieve over someone who's still living? Since the day Jimin walked away from his door grief has always sent him love letters. Grief kisses him good night making their past much brighter in hindsight. He drowns in his own denial as loss has its hand around his throat and he struggles to breathe, crying for air until his tears turn ricochet.

"I hope you are doing well, hyung" Jimin says as he walks to the door and Yoongi follows.

They are once again engulfed in silence until the younger turns around and his eyes are filled with care as if he genuinely hopes for Yoongi's well-being ─ maybe he does, for the younger's heart is big, but sadly, it was not big enough to leave a space for him.

"Are you happy?" Jimin breaks the silence, slightly tilting his head.

They say we are the architect of our own sadness, but why can't he find the exit door?

He just wants to go home, but he can no longer do that for home is not four bricked walls, home is crescent eyes and sweet smiles. Yoongi feels more of a stranger than a resident in his house because home is never four bricked walls, home is warm arms and soft giggles.

"Are you?" Yoongi asked as the younger's face lit up.

Home is something he can no longer return to.

"Yeah, I am." Jimin lets out a breath as his smile got wider. Yoongi can see that there's no vein of lie underneath his dashing smile thus he smiles too because he's happy as long as Jimin is.

"Then I am too"

“It’s nice that your voice is the first thing I heard today.”

His hyung’s voice is a rough rumble on the other end of the line. Separated by cities and circumstances, they pick little moments to reconnect. It’s like touching home, one word at a time.

Jimin likes to call Yoongi right when he knows his hyung is waking up. Suga’s voice, still thick with sleep and dreams, vulnerable and open like it always is first thing in the morning.

It makes him feel closer, even when Jimin is in apartment, and Yoongi is convalescing from his surgery.

Jimin smiles, and hums down the line.

“I know. The best voice to hear.”

His smile turns into a grin when he hears Suga’s huff of laughter. He holds that close, for now, because this is the worst part about being separated.

“Good morning, hyung.”

He says it softly, so fond and so full of the adoration he has, it's a wonder the whole world doesn’t know how he really feels about one Min Yoongi.

It's been 5 years since Alpha Prince Yoongi secretly dated Jimin, whom he met through his best friend, Jung Hoseok. He was enamored by the younger's beauty and almost heard the 'wedding bells' ringing.

On the other hand, Jimin felt curious about the story his block mate told him about his best friend, the Alpha Prince.

Hobi told him that even before Yoongi could see as a baby, he was already betrothed to an Omegan royalty from another kingdom.

He felt sad and sympathetic towards the Alpha Prince whom he only saw on TV. And he's been crushing on him since he's a teenager.

Though he knows that meeting the prince is as impossible as his dream to be a famous ballet dancer.

It was also Hobi's doing that the two met unintentionally. The younger was practicing hard for his upcoming recital when the practice room door suddenly opened.

Jimin was executing his legendary swan pose when his eyes locked into the feline-like eyes of a stranger.

"I'm s-sorry. I thought Hobi's here."

Jimin got up on his feet and bowed down when he remembered that the beautiful and handsome man he was looking at was the Alpha Prince.

"Y-your Highness!"

"Hey, it's just us. No need to be too formal. I'm Yoongi."

"J-jimin. P-Park Jimin."

Jimin's jaw dropped. Did the Alpha Prince called him beautiful?

"Hobi! There you are! I've been looking for you since earlier."

And ever since that beautiful encounter, Jimin has been visiting the Alpha Prince in the palace, together with Hobi.

And when Jimin finally introduced his best friend, Kim Taehyung, to the elder, he no longer lurks around Yoongi and Jimin.

And that's how their relationship started.

Yoongi arranged for everything that they needed during his rut. His Alpha instincts are already kicking in and ensuring that his boyfriend will have everything that he needs.

He also asked help from Hobi to stock food on his rut hut before they went there.

As they closed the door to the shack, Yoongi pinned Jimin to the door and kissed him relentlessly. Soon enough, clothes were strewn to the floor and Jimin was moaning as the elder thrusts two fingers inside him.

"Tell me if it's hurting you, baby. I'm adding another finger now. I need you to gape open for me."

Jimin can only moan when the third digit was added. Yoongi was fucking him deliciously hard with his fingers.

"Hyung.."

"What is it, love?"

And with that, Yoongi positioned Jimin on top of him. It will be the best way for the human to accommodate the long and thick girth Alphas are gifted by. And since he's royalty, his size screams big too.

And as he lapped into the younger's fresh mating bite, Jimin asked him if he could bite him too.

And since he already carries Yoongi's mating bite, Jimin's canine was able to prolong and bite into his skin to complete the bond.

"You're mine forever, you know?"

"I know, hyung. I know. And you're mine too."

"Yes, angel. Always and forever."

And as they came out of the shack after his rut, and revealed themselves to the public, Yoongi became afraid that his parents would reject Jimin. But he was in for a surprise when he introduced the younger to his parents.

"Yoongi, Park Jimin is your betrothed!"

"But Jimin is human!"

"Yes! But he's also half Omega too! His mother was a middle school best friend and she's royal. His father was human."

And soon after knowing that he and Jimin had been betrothed ever since their nappy days, made both of them very happy.

"We've been destined to meet, Alpha.

"Yes, my Omega. Now, we don't have to hide anymore. I'll stay by your side, always and forever."

The most difficult thing that Jimin ever had to do was say goodbye to the one person that ever made him feel safe.

The most difficult thing that Yoongi ever had to do was say meet the one person he never thought he’d see again.

The day that Yoongi learned he had a daughter was coincidentally the first time it had snowed all winter. He was on his way back from having dinner with a client. The two CEOs were his favorite clients - kind, honest and extremely respectable. They paid for his dinner and didn’t ask him to drink more than he wanted to. They ended the meal early, since they had early morning flights back to Jakarta.

Yoongi had nothing planned for the weekend so he mindlessly walked back home, briefcase in tow. He looked like any other businessman walking home from a bar. As he walked, he noticed that the night seemed auspicious. He didn’t know why, but every moment felt like a dance. There were people walking and enjoying the company of their friends and loved ones, but the street felt silent despite this noise. The snow fell slowly, captivating the minds and hearts of all. Many people stumbled out of restaurants to gaze up at the sky and capture a piece of white gold in their hands, or in the case of the three year old in front of him, in her tiny mouth.

There was an unattended child, no more than three years old, sticking her tongue up in the air, head tilted back, trying to capture a snowflake. A stutter in his heart, a jagged breath and a momentary lapse in logical thought. Something about this child felt like him. The child’s scent in the air traveled, her joy wafted through the night. He took a careful step closer to be sure that what his nose was detecting was true.

Could they be relatives any other way? He tracked her eyes, similar to his. Her pale skin and bony legs only further obfuscated the truth. He had only been intimate with one person in his entire life. The only person that he ever loved. He was in front of him now, standing by the door of an upscale restaurant, yelling, “Seonnie, come inside! It’s far too cold.”

Yoongi had to be dreaming. Park Jimin was standing a mere 5 meters away from him for the first time in nearly 4 years. He looked at Seonnie with tunnel vision and Yoongi was unable to look away. The Jimin that he had known was filled in with new colors by the one that stood in front of him. His face was thinner, a sign of aging into his early 30s. His body was still quite small but his hips were wider and more adult. As always, his style was impeccable, the blouse and diamonds on his neck and ears were a symbol of wealth that he hadn’t seen before. Seonnie turned to Jimin and screamed, “Papa, it’s SNOW!?”

“I see that honey, come inside and we’ll see it properly with coats on.” His voice carried even without him meaning to. Jimin’s eyes trailed to the street and then they found Yoongi’s. The horror that appeared on his face was enough to make Yoongi’s heart fall just like the snowflakes that surrounded them.
