MC draws the brothers

im kinda shy to ask this but, can u make artist!mc drawing brothers and others and them reacting to it?(*´-`)

Note: This was incredibly fun to write! I also only did the brothers, because I don't write for more than 7 characters in one post

Gender: neutral

Warnings: heavy language

Lucifer

You often draw him when he's working, because then he's absolutely still for hours

At first he doesn't exactly know what you're doing over there with your notebook. The first guess is some kind of study and you're simply looking for some peace and quiet to focus

Once he's done with the mountain of paperwork he walks over to you and glances over your shoulder

Oh wow. The portrait you drew of him looks fantastic and he nods proudly until he notices some special details

"Why are the spots under my eyes so dark?"

"Well, you've been working for hours now."

"I see..my hair looks so disheveled as well."

"You just really need some rest."

A portrait falls out of your notebook when you leave the room and he quickly hides it in one of his drawers. There is no way he won't treasure your hard work

Mammon

To say that it's difficult to draw a picture of the greedy demon is a complete understatement since he's in constant movements

The only time you catch him truly sitting still is when he's counting money after a long day of casino activities

"Look at what I won, MC! Hey, you're not even listenin'!"

"Sorry, Mammon. I didn't notice that you talked to me."

"What are ya doin' anyways, huh?"

His voice gets caught in his throat and he starts coughing violently. Partly to hide his embarrassment

"It l-looks pretty cool."

Translation: THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING THING HE HAS EVER SEEN

"I can get rid of it if you want me to."

"Are ya mad?! You can't just destroy a picture of the great Mammon! Give that to me."

Leviathan

By now it's routine for you to chill in his room to watch him play in the evening, but sometimes it does get a bit boring. Especially when he's playing a game that isn't your cup of tea

So you take out your notebook and start drawing whatever comes to your mind. This time it happens to be the envious third born

But you can't satisfy yourself with a normal portrait, no. You decide to draw him as if he's a character from the game he's currently obsessing over and proudly show him your work once you're done

You can watch Levi's soul leave his body in real time once he realizes that out of all the cool things in his room you drew him

"I-I can't believe you drew me! Me! It looks so good too! MC, I've got to have this! Please!"

I can see him roll around the room crying and screaming if you refuse to hand over the drawing

Satan

Once he loses himself in a book he turns into a freaking statue

Of course he has seen your drawings before and he absolutely adores them. There are several cat pictures from you hanging on his walls

But seeing you put his own features onto paper is a whole other thing

You manage to make him blush a little and chuckle in embarrassment as he inspects your work

"You're extremely talented. It almost looks real."

As Satan inspects your portrait an idea comes to his mind and a mischievous grin forms on his lips

"Do you perhaps take requests? I'd love for you to draw me tower over Lucifer. Preferably him cowering on the ground while I step on him."

"You know exactly that he will kill me if I do that."

"Oh, well. It was worth a shot."

Asmodeus

DRAW HIM LIKE ONE OF YOUR FRENCH DEMONS

Please, the moment he notices that you're drawing him he's going to strike poses left and right

"Let me fix the light real quick! Oh, I how do I look? Is my hair sitting correctly? Oh, why am I even asking? Of course it does!"

It's not the first time that someone either draws him or takes a picture of him, but with you it's special

Now you have to show him your entire notebook! He has to know if there are more portraits of him!

And there are. Most of them are him in an absolutely relaxed position and often times when he's not dolled up at all

"Why didn't you tell me? I would have gotten ready!"

"You looked the most beautiful in these moments. I didn't wanna disturb them- are you crying?"

"No! OF COURSE I AM!"

Beelzebub

Please, to him you're the most talented artist he has ever seen! And he doesn't hold back with that thought!

One time you drew food just for fun and he ate the entire paper, because it looked way too good. You have to admit that that's quite the high compliment

And Beel has such beautiful and drawable features so how couldn't you put that on a piece of paper?

"Can I see what you're doing?"

The hungry demon gets to lost in it that he's just silent for a very long time. It gets to a point where you worried that he might not like it

"I can throw it away if you want to."

"No, why? I love it."

He never really realized how good he looks until now

"Can I keep it?"

Our sleeping beauty over here is perfect to draw considering he sleeps so still that one might think he actually died

One time you don't even notice that he woke up from his nap and is wondering what you're so focused on

It's only when he leans over to get a peak inside your notebook. You quickly hide the drawings of him, but it's too late for that now. The damage is done and you brace yourself for his teasing

"Wow, you must really like me."

"Shut up."

"This is some Levi-level simping."

"I SAID SHUT UP!"

You guys wrestle over the notebook for a little while until he grows tired of it and lays down again with a yawn

"Fine. Keep your secrets. Your notebook is probably full with my face anyways."

"No."

"Next thing I will find out is that you have a shrine dedicated to me."

"You're such an ass."

"But a pretty one."

before surgery i was indifferent to if i wanted to keep my nipples or not, so i drew this as a fun thought on what i would do if i lost them anyway.

if you are recovering from top surgery and look at your nipple and think 'oh fuck its going to fall off' then good news! they won't. that's just what a healing nipple looks like. trust me bro, i've been there.

i thought my scars would look like the middle one when i drew this but they ended up not connected in the middle and also higher and more noticable on the armpits. i did keep my nipples however. different size than they used to be but i never really cared about my nipple size anyway.

did end up getting this as a print for the art festival i did in september, and people did buy this one so im counting as a win! putting it on redbubble now, so if anyone still wants this as a print then it’ll be there. i really need to get around to opening that etsy huh.

UGH THEY'RE SO CUTE I WANNA KISS EM. i drew crowley's snake as a big black python but now i can't stop imagining him with a little guy that hides up his sleeve while he games and is small enough that people might not notice it immediately......... aziraphale's hand reaching into frame with a guy wrapped around it, and they just kind of sit there half holding hands while they wait for the snake to slither from one wrist to another.

Aziraphale collaborates in Crowley's stream where they wanna play a game. (some shooter) and they set up Aziraphale character together but Aziraphale spends way too long to perfect him. Crowley is all patient and all and then when they start playing Aziraphale just can't handle the controls for the love of god. While preparing the dough Crowley is a bit too aggressive while kneeding the wet with the dry ingredients and he gets a cloud of flour into his face. Aziraphale chuckles and cleans his face with some wash cloth. They continue baking and having a great time. Though Crowley constantly steals the leftover dough from Aziraphale, after he punches out the forms with the cutter. While waiting for the cookies to bake and cool, they start making the icing and drink wine. Crowley kinda overdoes it with the wine and gets a bit tipsy. So at some point he just dips his finger in icing and holds it to Aziraphale's face, who gets all flustered but eventually eats the icing of Crowley's finger. (Which will definitely not end up a GIF that forever haunts both of them in their streams) When they finally start icing the cookies, Crowley is not just tipsy anymore but properly drunk. So half of the Santa cookies get penises or boobs or both. And Aziraphale just rolls his eyes, says "You're being silly" (yes, exactly in that voice!) and takes away the wine from Crowley.

I just found your good omens streamer au and I'm instantly obsessed, I love the concept and ideas so much. This scenario instantly came into my head aswell and I wanted to share!! Like Crowley just did a really long stream and wants to go sleep and doesn't end up fully stopping the stream by accident, so the viewers see him after he thinks he ended stream and he just calls out "Angel, I need hugs now" and just walks off without knowing the stream is still going. And everyone in chat goes crazy trying to let anyone know the stream is still going but also with the fact they saw Crowley switch to his soft side so quickly!! And either Anathema calls Crowley to tell him it's still going and he runs back cursing to turn it off... OR...Aziraphale goes into the room to maybe collect the mug of coffee he made for Crowley and finds the stream still going and the chat going MAD over it trying to get his attention but also freaking out that it's Aziraphale.

oh lord have mercy on m for all this second hand anxiety but

I love when folks ask me Fandom Old questions and I get to be like "Yeah, uh, that's from my old online RP group, no it's not canon at all, yes we just made it up, no we did not claim it was canon but the mid to late aughts were a strange time."

It's honestly a shock to realize how often this has happened. I mentioned earlier that Reno's fanon surname came from this same group, but that's not even the half of it. I once made a bunch of screenshot manips based on the most ridiculous ships anyone could think of—someone slapped a random line of text onto one of them and to this day it's used as a "cringe FF7 fandom" meme. I saw it on the twits a bit back and almost fell out of my goddamn chair.

If you've ever heard Scarlet referred to with the surname "West," read about Tseng fighting with metal fans, seen Elena's older sister being called Anna instead of Emma, come across Vincent portrayed as having a PhD in spite of being a Turk, or caught references somewhere to Grimoire experimenting on Vincent as a child, that started with this group. That was us.

One of the funniest examples of this, for me specifically, is that we don't actually know which arm Veld is missing? The fandom generally goes with his left because that's how I drew him in the first picture of the guy ever posted on devart way back in 2005, but it may very well be his right. I've seen people offer "proof" that it's his right based on a scene in the opening cutscene, but you can't tell there either, and with BC's graphics there's literally no way to tell on his sprite.

Hell, this year we found out everyone's assumed timeline of the Kalm fire is wrong, and that's our fault too because we made some assumptions about Felicia's age for an LJ RP that were entirely wrong. She's around Zack's age, not Sephiroth's! She's old enough to run with a terrorist group in BC, but she was a child when Kalm burned, and that happened in 1997—we know this because NPCs in Rebirth literally refer to the fire in Kalm having happened "just ten years ago." Veld has only had his prosthetic for three years when BC starts. (This also implies that, contrary to popular belief, Veld may actually be younger than Vincent. Vincent may have been the senior partner, and that's why he was sent to Nibelheim alone while Veld was left at headquarters.)

We were really wrong on this! But we were working with what we had. There's no canon evidence for the vast majority of these things (the most notable exclusion here is Vincent being educated) but we weren't claiming there was. We were filling gaps, and canon was so sparse that we had a lot of gaps to fill. So if it turns out that Veld lost his right arm, then I'll just have to start drawing him that way—because losing his left was never canon.

Tragically, there's nothing any of us can do to make people stop assuming these things are canon at this point; there aren't a lot of us still in the fandom, and it's not like any of us have those old chatlogs anymore. People from this RP group have DIED since those days. It's been over 20 years since most of us met, and around 15 since most of us were in a public fannish space together.

"Prove it," people say, and I literally can't. Do you know how many computers I've been through since then? 75% of the platforms we used no longer exist. This all started on a BBCode forum! There is no proof!

But...there's no evidence any of these things are canon, either, so maybe think about that? The Kalm fire, Tseng's weapon of choice, Veld's arm, character surnames—none of these are retcons because there was no lore there to retcon. We made it up for our specific purposes, and it escaped containment in an era when there was really no way to do online contact tracing.

It's just one of the weirdest feelings in the world to see younger folk arguing about A or B point in canon, about X or Y retcon—referencing something my friends and I thought up at like 10 o'clock at night on a now-defunct IM client in August of 2005, because we needed something to refer back to for a specific scene in an RP and the source material had nothing to offer.

Absolutely fucking bonkers.

I was also soooo conflicted on who to pair you with because I see you with both Jason AND Percy equally, but Percy matches your type moreee to me sooo...

I matched you up with......Percy Jackson

Okay Percy is YOUR guy-you have this alluring personality that honestly just drew him in... Like the tide.... get it... (okay im done lmao)

But anyways he's definitely head over heels after he first meets you, I always see Percy as this really well balanced guy, I mean yes he has his moments like any other teen but he is a very understanding guy. Sally raised him RIGHT.

If you guys are ever in a conversation and someone speaks over you or if he interrupts you by accident I know for a FACT that he's sticking up for you making sure you're heard and understood.

On another note, he really does love your voice, I mean he loves everything about You but your soft voice really does calm him in the best way.

It's a canon thing that children of Aphrodite have the most magical eyes and I know he can just absolutely lose himself in yours, he would definitely throw some compliments your way.

Speaking of insecurities and struggles, Percy has had his fair share of insecure moments and while he is more on the social side, he completely understands if you need to kinda take a break from people

and though he hasn't had younger siblings to take care of he is 100% there for you. (Yk how in the show he tells Annabeth to "Be A Kid" I think he would be like that for you too) He would want you to of course put yourself first, yes being there for your siblings is important but taking time for yourself is vital :)

And when you feel like your judgment may be clouded I think Percy knows how to balance that out well and be reasoning with you too

OOOh and the sense of humor, I know Percy has very witty and dry humor at times- I can picture you both throwing out line after line of sarcastic remarks trying to one up the other

He loves the banter you guys might have during quests you're both on or in camp on a regular morning during breakfast, he would just love to joke around with you

Following that earlier point I made- when you pressure yourself too much and sort of spiral, whether it's because of your parents or because of school, Percy is always there to reassure you, and while an 85 to you may be disappointing to him it deserves high, high praise.

I think he would try to work with you to not be so hard on yourself, like when you have to be there for your siblings, your parents, for school, and additionally for camp too??!! You need to just take a breather and he is totally up for that. He would be the first person at your cabin door knocking with some movie snacks (chocolate included) and be down for a binge watching session of your favorite anime or other comfort shows <3

BAKING- okay so, You and Percy bake one night at camp when you sneak into the kitchens after curfew. You came prepared with your hair tied back, apron on and ready. Percy on the other hand was in pajamas with his hair in his eyes but nonetheless was so excited to be there. You both get out your ingredients and when you begin making blue cupcakes. While you are practically a pro at this, Percy is getting batter on himself and on his workspace and while he's stirring some even flies into your hair. You yelp in surprise and flick some batter from your spoon onto his shirt, thus begins your blue-batter-food war. Safe to say you only had enough batter for a few cupcakes but you guys had fun regardless.

I see Percy's personality and yours meshing well together, especially your love languages, when you're a demigod you live a risky life so you're never sure if you'll make it back from a quest to your loved ones, because of this (Percy especially since he's a kid of the big 3) you and Percy make it a point to take a few days out of the weeks you're at camp to dedicate them to each other, he would love to just sneak you into his cabin and cuddle up on a cool night and just talk with you, (yk the meaningful convos people have late at night? thoseee) he would talk about anything with you, running his fingers through yours long hair, he would memorize every expression you make. He'd memorize everything about you to imagine to himself whenever he's a part from you

Okay so phone girl and Grayson have still not left the crevices of my brain, so here are some songs I think would fit them (yes they’re mostly by taylor swift, don’t judge 😒)

I could picture everything so vividly and i heard that one line where it was him going "I want you. I want you baby" and i just completely saw your drawing of them arms linked and extended and I lost my MINDD soup. spinning in circles and shimmying like a deep sea isopod ruffling up dirt on the seafloor look at me in my dead ass eye holes because i cannot express enough how much I love that. everything in this fic was pictured entirely in your style and I'm so fucking normal about that I promise. i LOVE seeing the little details you move from both cannon jrwi and your designs into the way they're drawing because, and I cannot stress this enough that this is a good thing, they all look like Them. normally with au's it's them slightly off or that's Them just in a different outfit but NOOO dude you got it so perfect. yeah that IS what they would look like that IS how they would dress and act and look and fucking DANCE bro 🗣🗣‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

I'm from another country and it's actually a big shock to me that some people can't just scroll through things they don't like or simply block tags or ppl. They feel that need to let others know "Oh you drew/wrote something I personally think is immoral in my picture of the world. So yeah, you don't deserve to be considered a human being and I'd be super satisfied if you lose your life". Like, it's even sounds sick. You're not woke, guys. So what exactly is the premise of this AT au?

I have a few AU’s going on right now, but i’ll list off the ones I have posted here for time and for the sake of my poor grammar skills.

The first one I ever showed on my blog was my interpretation of Finn growing up with Minerva on the islands, I took the line “You grew up to be a helper too?” and RAN with it bookie. I do plan for Finn to end up stranded in Ooo at some point, but we’ll see ;)

The second is basically a crossover AU with Rise of the TMNT and, well, Adventure Time. This one originated because I wanted to see how my human Leo design would look over a Marceline screenshot, then I realized that he looked out of place next to PB so I drew my silly lil yokai-mutant Jackson over her as a gum-oni-nekomata hybrid.

After that I sorta just assigned a character in another characters place and well, now we’ve got April the Human and Raph the Turtle!

The third AU isn’t completely mine, the vampire - emo finn idea came form sufyaaaa on insta and finnsemophase here on tumblr, after that I just added my own bits and pieces to it, which actually leads to AU four.

For AU four at first I wanted to just draw the Finn - Candy Queen idea but then I started thinking about it story wise and well, I think im gonna merge it in a bit with the vampire Finn AU, where Finn grew up human with Minerva in the wastelands instead of the islands and met Bonnie losing herself to pure elemental magic. (Which makes a lot of sense if you think about it) Im WAY OPEN to suggestions for whatever the FUCK to do with Martin cuz I honestly have no clue. 😭🤙

Anyways, I hope this cleared things up! Most of these are just me wanting Finn to interact with Minerva more since we got so little of them, but nevertheless I’ll expand beyond that thirst since people have been enjoying them more than I expected lmao.

how do you know when a piece like your groudon is finally “done”, or done Enough?

i dont have an answer for this but maybe when i just type a lot i will find one.

for the groudon pic specifically i had a mental image in my head of what scene i wanted. when i started rendering the lava, i did it really detailed and decided i couldnt leave the rest of it simpler and then when the lava was all like that i had to crank everything else in the picture up too. and that made everything take so long that it was far beyond the boundaries of it being "not enough" . it was pleny enough!! so from hour 30-52 i was pretty eager to get it over with. just everything up to the point where its uniform in rendering. sometimes thats a bad sentiment to work on a pic with, but this time it was ok. i kind of like arduous menial tasks. it makes me more patient. so for that one it was done once everything was on par with my detail standard i set for myself halfway thru.

i think i used to have more trouble with this, deciding when its done... my pice now always either end when they reach what i had planned or when theyre the type of pic without a plan then when i get bored / lose the flow of it. actually prior to the groudon pic even some planned ones stopped at a flowloss point.

these two picy both have immaculate rendering on parts but then i lost it and finishdd the rest of the pic with less vigor. in tve green comet one its all the surroundings. i had other versions for that and kept reworking and reworking but i was so ouf of power i just used a slightly polisjed up sketch, kind of works for the pic though. the eel one i also lost power at the backhground, beyond the water. the mountains and clouds i think i coulda put more effort in. but its ok cuz its like 0% the focus of the picture, just sometjing that bothers me alone. hey both of these pics are about a serpent type thing coiling down to earth gently from the sky oops. back to the question um ya im looking at my images and all of them either end when they reach what i had in my head or when i loose flow. when i used to do lsd more my process was that the picture ends when i go to bed. i want to do that again soon it was fun. i drew for like 6 hours while kind of crazy then for the next 12 hours in warm afterglow i just clean and render everything so sweetly and then with a body as hard as a hundred bodies i sink into my bed and click post on it which codifies it as completed. also towards tve end of the picture is usually when im stressing about tiny details and i will message like 1-2 consistent people and 1-2 random people from my discord friendslist to ask about opinions about which tiny detail looks better for the whole pic. when im at that point i cant think straight no more so well no more so i kind of know its time to stop soon. but those final feedbacks always help. ok i guess thats an answer lol i made it very long i will put a readmore. hope u dont mind reading but i think if i sent someone an anon the longer the reply the happier i would be. probably. im in bed but im gonna get up again in a sec and play some balatroooo, 2 people bought a groudon print so far and i spent that money on balatro eep hihi thank u for the ask which i twisted into my babbleplateau

Seth: Would actually get teary eyed and secretly think it was a very romantic of you. He thanks you for it and treasures it, if you give it to him.

Azrael: If he’s interested with you, he will try to school his expression but deep inside is very pleased (also kind of losing it) and you won’t leave his mind all day, probably would love to show you a proper appreciation later, if you want.

Grant: Would be so touched and gush about how you drew him. Often times, you’ll see him staring and touching your drawing as if he still can’t believe that you drew him and then you’ll notice he’ll get quiet and look at you lovingly after.

Leon: He would blush and compliment the drawing. If you’re together, he’d ask for a kiss from you and tell you he absolutely loves and adores you and your drawings.

Markus: Gets pretty excited, would show it off to the coworkers in the office, and on Friday night with you, he would jokingly ask you to draw him like one of your french boys, he’s not serious about that, is he?

Isla: She is elated, gives you a kiss on a cheek and she gets affectionate with you all day. Also tease you for drawing her and asks if you like looking at her.

Conrad: He doesn’t hesitate and sincerely says that he loves your drawing so much. He would post it on the cork board of Caracal Bar where customers sometimes puts their picture in it and he would always show it off to other customers about how great you are.

Dominic: He may not show it but he is enthusiastic that you drew him and asks you if he can have it. You’ll just get surprised that he would frame it along with Kia’s drawings, he may also get sentimental when looking at it and think about you.

Lawrence: Doesn’t know what to feel but still thanks you. If you’re interested with him, he’ll take that as a hint that you are probably attracted to him.

Part 1: Safe Haven

The construction site was just like any other you had been to but then again you were no expert on places like this. It was going to be a mall before the development funding ran out. There were chunks of concrete and rebar left in ruined piles, scattered around the location. It was a large site, once you got inside the development there wasn't anything for what seemed like miles, the perfect place for a clandestine meet up.

The road was awful, you could feel yourself bumping up and down in your seat as you sped down it in the undercover police car. Joe's headlights were still lingering in the distance as you tailed him.

You got it, you really did. The two of you had been woken up in the dead of night by a phone call from Benson informing you of the situation at Joe’s apartment building.

After trying Joe’s place and finding it empty, Hector Ruiz had decided to beat a location out of his neighbour Mr Gutierrez. He’d left the elderly gentleman with three broken ribs and a dislocated shoulder. Joe had been inconsolable. You had seen him shut down almost instantly as the doctor told them the true extent of Mr Gutierrez’s injuries. It had been harrowing to see the kindly old man so banged up.

You’d seen the look in Joe’s eyes as he sat beside Mr Gutierrez, and you knew that Joe was going to kill Ruiz. The other man had brutally murdered so many people over the years and now he had hurt his friend. Probably would have killed him if someone hadn’t called the police.

Joe was already leaning against the trunk of the car when you stepped outside of your own vehicle. Your hand was already on your service pistol, flicking open the black holster on your hip as you approached him. You were both already clad in Kevlar, Joe crossed his arms over his chest, the muscles in his jaw tight as he reviewed you.

"I thought I managed to lose you back there when the road forked." he told you.

“You’re not that good Velasco.” You responded, taking up residence alongside of Joe. You withdrew your gun from your holster, wrapping both hands around the grip. You were about to go up against a guy twice your size and body weight, a guy who had spent his entire prison stay building so much muscle he’d been able to take down three cops last time they tried to restrain him. This all came with the added bonus of CIP, a rare disorder that left him insensitive to pain. Most CIP sufferers didn’t live past their twenties because of the condition. Ruiz was now in his mid-thirties.

"Don't try and stop me." Joe warned you as the roar of a car in the distance invaded your ears. Joe already knew what had to be done. He dreaded the thought of how many other people would suffer at the hands of this monster it was that thought that had led him to make his decision.

"I didn't come to stop you, Joe." You muttered; your eyes fixated on the twin headlights in front of you as they drew even closer. "Whatever goes down tonight I've got your back."

There was a moment of understanding between the two of you. Someone was going to die tonight, and you wanted to make damn sure it wasn't Joe. Maybe the two of you would be able to even the odds and give each other a better chance against this animal. You’d seen the files, what he had done to the bodies of the people he’d murdered, how he brutalised them.

"You ready?" Joe asked you as Ruiz's truck came to a halt alongside your car.

"As I'll ever be." you muttered, raising your weapon as Ruiz got out of his car.

Ruiz was huge, bigger than you had realised, you'd seen him in pictures, but they did not do him justice. His shoulders were wide set, and his gargantuan frame matched his height. it was clear from the glint in his eyes that he was a predator, he loved the smell of blood in the air, the violence. You knew pure evil when you saw it.

"Really like this place." Ruiz called out as he walked towards you step by antagonizing step. "A lot of fond memories here."

Joe said nothing, his lips pursed into a grim line as the words penetrated his ears. He knew that it was meant to rile him, and he liked to think that he was above it but damn it if that kid's broken body didn't flicker through his brain like a grotesque snapshot. It was what he had managed to put Ruiz away for back then, but then there’d been another trial and the son of a bitch had gotten out.

"You owe me five years." Ruiz rumbled, his voice sounding like thunder as he climbed back into the car.

There was moment, a very fleeting one where you thought that Ruiz was just going to get back into his car and drive away. That's what you would have wanted to happen. Instead, he did something much worse. He drove the car straight at you.

You weren’t sure who fired first you or Joe, but you could hear the echoes of your weapons as you both shot at the radiator and the windscreen. You dived out of the way in opposite directions as Ruiz fought for control of the car against the spiderwebbed glass. You hit the ground hard, your gun flipping out of your hand and landing in the dirt a foot away as you impacted with the concrete.

There was moment where you couldn't breathe, the air rushing out of your lungs and the only thing you could hear was a loud roaring in your ears as you lay on your stomach, struggling to draw breath through the agony that vibrated through your entire body.

"Jose." you croaked before sucking in a shaky breath, allowing the flow of oxygen into your lungs.

Your adrenaline began to kick in. You could feel it like a narcotic flooding through your veins as you struggled to your hands and knees.

Darkness fell over you, you could feel the apprehension sending a chill up the nape of your neck before Ruiz's large hand enclosed on the back of your Kevlar vest hurling you upwards like a rag doll.

"I see you bought a friend." Ruiz rumbled in an amused tone before his huge hand enclosed on the scruff of your neck. His fingers dug in, scratching across your skin as he applied just the smallest amount of pressure. You were under no illusions; this man could snap your neck in an instant if he wanted to. You reached up behind you, your nails scrapping flesh of his face as you clawed at his eyes.

His free hand grasped your left wrist, twisting it cruelly in one fluid movement.

The noise was sickening, you heard the bone in your left forearm snap before the excruciating pain erupted through every single one of your senses. Someone was screaming, you could hear the hoarse, violent noise carrying through the night air like a wounded fox and it took you a moment to realise that it was coming from you.

The second time you hit the ground, it was with a force that stunned you. The breath rushed out of your lungs, cutting your scream short as your head hit the ground with an audible crack. For a moment you saw nothing, there was only a darkness sweeping into your vision accompanied by that horrendous lance of hot pain. Ruiz cackled, his footsteps moving away from you as he sought out more worthy prey.

It took a few more moments for your sight to clear and when it did you could feel wetness streaking down your cheek. You could hear the grunts, the impact of flesh and curse words as Ruiz and Joe went at each other. You cradled your broken arm to your chest, the fingers of her your hand seeking out your service pistol.

Joe was in a bad way, each punch that Ruiz landed was another blow that Joe couldn't afford. His face was bloody, his nose and mouth bleeding as he panted. He grasped the lapels on Ruiz's jacket before driving his fist straight into the other man's nose. Ruiz reeled back for a second, only a second before he used the back of his hand to smash Joe across the face, knocking him to the ground with enough force to break a couple of ribs.

The palm of your hand enclosed around the Glock, it fit like an old friend as you gripped it tightly, your hand slick with blood and sweat. Ruiz was already on the move; picking up a largest slab of concrete he could find before lifting it high above his head as he approached Joe. Your right arm swung up; the gun nestled firmly in your grasp. You squinted against the blood in your eyes before squeezing the trigger.

The bullet hit home, striking him in the back. You saw Ruiz jerk suddenly before he turned around to face you. His expression was full of pure unadulterated rage as his beady eyes focused upon you once more. He took a step towards you, the slab of concrete still clasped between his meaty hands as he raised it high above his head.

"You are fucking kidding me..." You muttered, using your sleeve to wipe the blood from your face and aiming higher. You took a single breath, inhaling deeply and focusing on your target before pulling the trigger.

Ruiz’s head snapped back, his eyes bulging as he looked down at you in shock, his stocky body wavering from side to side. You didn't move, holding your breath instead as you waited to see which direction the giant concrete slab was going to fall. Ruiz toppled backwards, taking it with him.

Joe was already in motion, stumbling towards you. He lingered over Ruiz's corpse, his dark eyes staring down at it before he prodded it with his boot.

"Please tell me he's dead." your words came out like a sob. You could feel yourself going cold, a chill seeping into your bones as you clasped your arm tightly to your chest.

"He's dead." Joe confirmed.

Already he was stripping off his jacket and draping it around your shoulders. Your skin was clammy and cold under his touch as he pressed his palm to your cheek. You were starting to shake, and he could see that your gaze was becoming glassy and unfocused. He couldn't take any more risks, not tonight.

It took him a few seconds to locate his phone but when he did, he was surprised to find that although the screen was cracked the device was still functioning. The shivering was getting worse, he could see the tremors vibrating through your body as you clenched your jaw tightly against the chill. Joe wrapped his arm around your shoulders as gently as he could, sheltering you with the heat of his body. You nestled against him, tucking yourself into his side as Joe raised the phone to his ear and called for help.
