Propaganda for John and Arthur:

The inherent intimacy of having a guy (John) inside your (Arthur) head who you don't know the history or goals of but still bond over the atrocities you go through in your shared body. And sometimes he's an arsehole but you know that he wants the best for you and it's so much more than any other relationship they could have and in the end they always have eachother and I'm jealous of a sad British man and the voice in his head. They're friends and each others world and everything and I want what they have. OH DID I MENTION THAT ARTHUR IS FUCKINF BLIND AND JOHN IS HIS ONLY ACCESS TO SIGHT? IT'S BEAUTIFUL. Like John always takes such care to describe their surroundings (no seriously he starts waxing poetic). I mean yh he withholds it sometimes but every door has its issues. Anyways yh I love them and they deserve the world.

They are extremely close, both literally and figuratively. John is inside of Arthur's head, and they often fight in ways that have been referred to by the fans as 'divorce moments' but they still very clearly care about and love each other, in a way that is explicitely non-romantic. Their love is desperate and aching and they're not just friends, but they are definitely not dating, and a LOT of the fandom interprets them as queerplatonic.

Oh, the special kind of affection and friendship that can only bloom between a 1930s private detective and the eldritch entity that ends up possessing his eyes and left arm. 95% of this show is Arthur (the detective) bickering with John (the eldritch entity) like an old married couple, and falling in and out of trust with each other. Despite that they are both fiercely loyal to the other and by the point the podcast is at now they seem to trust each other implicitly - Arthur has to rely on John to guide him since John can see out of the eyes of their body and Arthur can't, but when they fall into an abandoned mine and are reunited (long story) they immediately fall back into that old, trusting rhythm. They share a body and their initial goal in the podcast is to be separated, but by the point we're at now they're not too fussed about it. They're making plans to go out to dinner and the movies. Also, Arthur is aro-coded - there's a big emotional arc that involves him accepting the fact that he never had romantic feelings for his wife, even during the birth of their child or her death, and how that doesn't make him a bad person or diminish the love he felt for that child.

takeaway from this; either canon or odd pair. Romance is so time-consuming and heavy, and I find friendship more appealing because you get to see two characters (or more) care about each other and help each other despite not wearing rose coloured glasses.

For romance, you can see a pattern there too; Funneh and Alec like LIKE each other, but they're friends first. What I love about YHS is that they easily couldve portrayed funneh and alec in kdrama way (with corny one liners, romantic gestures...) but they didnt. It feels authentic and theyre just chilling!! The arcade date is the best example tbh. Loved everything about it.

Platonic! Mr Realism x Reader

Joey scribbled on a piece of paper, crayons and blocks scattered across the floor, he sat crossed legged in his room humming to himself.

You were occupied in the kitchen, you hummed softly. Finishing buttering a piece of bread along with pouring a hefty amount of apple juice in a glass cup. You laid the bread on a plastic red plate, scooping up the cup and made your way back to his room, joining him.

"I should show you my friend" Joey grinned, stuffing his face with the piece of bread and holding his glass cup with both hands.

You titled your head, concerned. "your-wha-huh?"

"My friend!" he stated again, gulping down his drink and letting it roll away on the floor, before blinking up at you.

"How about we finish your drawings! And we get to bed!" you encouraged, biting your lip as you sweated buckets.

"MMM, but we must meet my friend! They want to meet you!"

"ahahaha- lovely." you gulped, ignoring his glossy stare.

You tried to distract him with toys and drawings throughout the night and by the end of it, you thankfully got him to bed. Your cried in your head, that you didn't have to meet his "friend". But, strangely enough you could feel something watching you.

As you tucked him in, you slowly creeped out of his room and cleaned up the place. Bored, there wasn't much to do here, except "babysit" Joey and his "friends".

You shivered at the thought of meeting them, ever. Washing your hands, and wiping it on your pants, you peered inside his room again and thankfully he was still asleep. Your gravely remembered the times, he wasn't in his bed and was, just standing at the bottom of the basement stairs.

You shook the thoughts away before scurrying to the living room and making yourself comfy on the couch, wrapping yourself in blankets and pressing yourself into the pillows, yawning.

Slowly but surely, you stared at the open doorway of Joey's room before closing your eyes and drifting to sleep.

Thought I'd drop some duo names here for people since I’m bored and this fandom has a lack of platonic duo names.

Deadliest Duo [Grian + Joel]. Y'know in Last Life when they went on their murder spree? Well something like 'We are the deadliest duo!' was the original title of Joels episode but he changed it, but ever since this is what I've been calling them, its accurate

Rift Duo [Grian + Lizzie]. This is obvious, they both were the first to discover both rifts on each side, but it is more fitting than that The rift is a dimension travelling thing right? And as someone who watched YHS/TS [TS is the sequel, this is also the one Lizzie guest starred in] was all about things like ailens, dimension travel, fucking up timelines and shit like that

Wither Duo [Grian + Impulse]. Also born from Last Life and their journey as the last loyal southlanders to summon the wither, I think DSMP has a duo name like this one but screw off save some duo names for us. You could also make resistance duo a thing

Mayor Duo [Mumbo + Scar]. S7 Mayoral Elections. I’m sure theres something better but until I find it, this is what I'm calling it

that's true, leander could definitely be a big plot twist like he may had already figured out how to cure the MC but keep it a secret so she won't leave the city anytime soon. i've seen their tumblr blog but i cannot do that because it would remind me of the long awaited release date which is forever away LMAO. are there just characters page for the love interests or is there one for sen/elyon too?

i suppose since they are the non-humans character, it does seem likely that is the case. maybe, vere broke into the senobium and learnt stuffs that he shouldn't had ? or maybe he own them some debt or something ? that's true but all of these vital info would probably be reveal in the halfway point of each route.

if the moon was a person, it would be mhin like look at their character design! that's interesting though because i'm sure they and ais are opposites. vere is definitely eye candy but the studio had poured their hearts into their designs because the artists have added distinctive touches to their faces.

but vere's and leander (marks and scars) are the only obvious one, with the rest, you do need to look closely like mhin's beauty mark, ais's eyebrow with the shaven streak across the centre and the golden teardrops underneath kuras's eyes.

that's sound fun! good luck with that. i really like mhin because their character design solely pulled me and their character/personality because i saw myself in them which is probably a bad thing LMAO. i was leaning towards ais too but when i noticed his eyebrow, i got reminded of my brother because he naturally have that with his one so it hasn't been the same since then ;-; but i like kuras a lot!

there was a fem!li for another otome game called ozmafia but i think it was platonic romance? i think it was more of a friendship route since it came out in 2013. that's true, i cannot recall other female characters in otome game and if they are, they're normally a shit stirrer or the mc's rival.

i hope the studio see the fan comments about sen so they won't change her design because it would be such a waste! ais would be terrifying as a yandere though esp since he have those soul eaters (is that what they call) at his beck and call. but i feel like their approaches would be very different from each other like ais would be upfront and controlling but leander would be patronising and gaslighting.

like with leander, the mc would need to be smart to realise what's going on otherwise it'll be too late or they're just simply naive where they will never realise and i dk which fate is more worst.

speaking of yanderes, do you read/write yan! contents? i read them a little bit but nothing hardcore and i am writing some yan fanfics (bnha and tokyo revengers series) but i'm posting them on ao3.

kuras is very polite and private, he does fit his profession but i felt like he was someone who used to wear his heart on his sleeve but shit happened. the other origins would reveal more of him considering his dialogue towards but it'll only be trinkets/hints so ppl will play the game when it come out.

there is a possibility because his basic summary sentence that he's looking for the one thing that money cannot buy so he seem to be the only rich character. but sometimes, i do wonder if sen will be blind (?) considering her eyes and the scar/stitches on her face, it does look like she was in a horrific accident.

i'm going to add it towards the end but my shipping cost will be $20-$40 so i might just abandon the idea. i'm sure there will be a chance to buy more merch when the game come out but it's probably be more expensive than the kickstarter version.

yh, i saw that goal! do you think we might get partial voice acting for them too? but the animated intro, that is the studio's biggest dream, it's the one that they want to unlock the most.

well, i think that's a bit hasty too because if studio fail to develop the game, kickstarter won't be able to refund their pledge but i highly doubt that will happen but that's always a risk regarding kickstarters. (i feel like this is something mhin would probably say too LMAO)

i think the studio added more slots for that but are already sold out or on the last one.

nahh i don't feel embarrassed haha. i've become a lot more indulgent on myself and if it doesn't hurt anyone, there's no harm in having it! i don't necessarily sleep with him because i don't want my dog to accidentally pee on it (shes a senior dog who has a lot of accidents now) but he does rest on my bed! and yes i am! i play a looot of games and as of now, one of my dream careers would be to work on a game to write lore or a character in the future! maybe make my own game? who knows! a lot of them do have inappropriate designs LOL, but there are some that are relatively sfw. i know the obey me! dakimuras just came out but i read they're super expensive.. like 100+.

highkey *both* steve & bucky are gay, with plenty of Thoughts and Reasons: steve kisses women in every movie (tho bucky's sposed to be the ladie's man (to hide his gayness a la arnie)) but notice how every single one of steve's kisses/non-platonic interactions w women are not initiated by steve and/or he shows little/negative interest/reciprocation as if he feels obligated. yh u can blame the actor's non-chemistry and say that the writing's intent is diff but... steve is a gay man w comphet 🌈🧍

I get your reasoning, those are some good reasons to think he doesnt like women Like That, but I myself don't see it that way. Just because he hasnt been interested in the women he's been around doesn't mean he isn't interested in women in general. He could be bi with a preference for guys (named Bucky). Idk. I just work here.

But bi characters don't have to show, on-screen, their attraction to whatever variety amount you find to be "enough proof" before you'll stop insisting its a case of comphet. Not everything is comphet. Sometimes people, including characters, are just bi.

You are free to call him gay all you want, but that doesn't make it canon. It's not like Arnie Roth or the Bucky based on him, the one we all know and love - that has source material. It has backing from people involved. Steve?? Doesn't have that.

So to me Steve is bi and Bucky is gay, they respect that (as well as everything else) about each other, they're in love and married, and they have kids - as well as a minimum of one (1) cat and three (3) goats - and that's that on that in this house.
