Putting the new AU aside for a moment... this new artwork is...
It has Amane (from like... 50 years or more ago in the manga's timeline) in it...
Which makes me wonder...
Who is this Tsukasa then...?
Tumblr media
Is he the one we have now... or is he the Tsukasa from that time period as well...?
We're missing koku/haku -joudai too...

Oh I thought of something so funny
Can you please do headcanons for both datables and undatable with an MC that has an embarrassing picture of them as their lock screen?
I just imagine them asking to see MC's phone for a moment after they see it but MC knows they're gonna try and change it so they start running and play a funny silly game of keep away LMAO
"MC give me your phone."
"NO YOU'RE GONNA CHANGE MY LOCK SCREEN 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️"
MC is chased around the entire school trying to escape, they have to hide their phone in the end haha
hi! haha, yes of course!
since tumblr got rid of yellow in favor of making it more accessible, i just decided to go custom with the name colors. none of the actual text will be these colors so it's actually readable and just want to differentiate between the characters
sorry this is late! lost track of time talking with friends
this idea is so fun and so cute, please enjoy :)
Mc running from datables + undatables so they don't change their lock screen
Lucifer
the picture on your lock screen is him passed on on his desk surrounded by paperwork. his hair is plastered to his forehead and an empty mug is laying on it's side next to him
he sees your lock screen when he asks you to add a couple dates to the family calendar right after a student council meeting
he doesn't chase you far because people are staring at the two of you but gives the ominous warning that he'll be waiting for you at home. you might need backup...
Mammon
the picture on your lock screen is of him midway through tripping. the timing was perfect and he had seemingly tripped on air
he didn’t even realize you had capture it on camera until he sees a screenshot of your lock screen in the family group chat
he chased you fully around the school and almost changed your background but didn't after you offered him all the cuddles and kisses he could dream of
Levi
the picture on your lock screen is him in his bunny boy outfit, just looking generally embarrassed. he's covering his face with one of his hands and extending the other out towards to camera, trying to cover it
he nearly starts screaming when he seems your lock screen
he begs and begs you to change it back, but you refused since you think it's a cute photo :)
Satan
the picture on your lock screen is of him crying while reading a leatherbound book (inspo from that one card!). he's holding an embroidered handkerchief with a small cat paw in the corner up to his face
when he sees the picture while looking over your shoulder in class to see if you got his message, he's a little flustered
he chases you around at lunch and catches you and successfully changes you lock screen to an embarrassing picture of you instead
Asmo
the picture on your lock screen is of him still in bed. his hair is the messiest you've ever seen and his sleeping mask is askew on his face. you're next to him in bed, and he's holding your other arm
he actually kind of likes the picture but at least wants you to change it to your home screen
when you refuse, he playfully changes you around, and while he fails, he changes it later while you're asleep
Beel
the picture on your lock screen is of him with food all over his face. it's not a rare site, but today his entire mouth is shiny since he was midway through eating a burger
tbh I cannot see him getting super embarrassed, and actually would probably like that moment since the two of you have moments like that all time
he would chase you just to be playful and fun, but instead of wanting to delete the photo, he would probably just want to change your lock screen to a cute picture of the two of you <3
Belphie
the picture on your lock screen is a picture of him asleep with doodles all over his face in black marker. he was given a mustache and various other symbols
he doesn't actually notice right away, but when he does, he whines for you to change it
when you refuse, he shows more enthusiasm than he ever has, and he wrestles the phone from you to change it himself
Diavolo
the picture on your lock screen is him looking very embarrassed in a cafe. he was holding two drinks and was ushering you towards the exit. he had picked up the wrong drinks
he was mortified after that and wanted to vanish, but was too embarrassed to bring it back to get the correct ones
he had fun chasing you because you seemed to be enjoying it, so he wasn't even in it to change your lock screen despite how he felt about it
Barbatos
the picture on your lock screen is of him staring at a piece of china he had just broken on accident. most of his face isn't visible, but he's making the most mortified face you've ever seen
the look on his face when he saw your lock screen...
let's just say that you didn't get very far before he caught you
Simeon
the picture on your lock screen is a picture of him struggling to use a computer. his face is very close to the screen and he's hunched over the keyboard. he keeps looking back and forth between the keyboard and screen, and hunt + pecks the keys
he kind of minded but didn't care that it was your lock screen until you got smug
he chased you around and getting you phone put couldn't figure out how to change it
Luke
the picture on your lock screen is him standing on a stool in the kitchen, and pointing somewhere away from himself with a terrified expression on his face. he just seen an ant trail on the counter
he promptly got mad and tried to grab your phone
unfortunately for him he's short and there was no chase because all you had to do was hold it over your head lol
Solomon
the picture on your lock screen is a picture of him standing over a cauldron that had clearly just backfired on him. his entire face is covered in soot and his hair is standing on it's ends
he actually had an embarrassing photo of you as his lock screen!
the mischievous sorcerer had loads of fun chasing you around and was successful in changing you lock screen
Mephisto
the picture on your lock screen is him sitting on the ground, looking dazed. he'd just fallen off of his horse after trying to show off to you, and he was covered in dirt
he was so bum hurt in and after that moment and can't contain his welling emotions of partial embarrassment of having to relive it, and partial excitement
he chases you around out of sake for his pride but he actually could not catch you before the next class began
Thirteen
the picture on your lock screen is her staring down at the ground after she'd just dropped an entire divider of rhinestones onto the ground. all the colors had scattered around the entire room and mixed
she eventually just used a spell to clean up the spilled gems, but she stood there for a minute processing
she didn't mind too much, but she had fun chasing you around for a while

Hey hi hello!!! I hope you're having a nice day today! If it's not a bother, I'll be leaving a request for your bully!au. Maybe with a reader who's a hot head? Like, the moment they start acting up, readers already in their face asking questions like "why the fuck are you being such a dick?" Normally, reader could conceal this if it was the normal twst, but the moment the twst guys start slipping, reader is already confronting them on why they are being such assholes. You know how narancia from jjba acts like when he's stressed or mad? Yeah exactly like that! Pulling out the knife out too. Reader doesn't care about their reputation, so they wouldn't care less if they were threatened by that. I love your writing too!!! I always look forward to it when I open Tumblr. Thank you for reading, and have a nice day!!
This is not gonna end well…BUT THANK YOU BEST COMPLIMENT OF THE BLOG!!! <333
Buncha rambles, dunno where this was gonna lead so sorry if this isn’t what you wanted 😅
tw. yandere, bully!characters, mentions of stabbing/murder, manipulative!reader for the win 🏆
Tumblr media
No one is gonna side with you. The bystanders do absolutely nothing till this point, reputation is very important and they don’t want it being dirty with yours (lmao ironic). Besides people like Lilia, Malleus, and Jade—they find your “hot-headed” personality attractive.
You’ll get picked on more yes, these students are much stronger than you by far, but you wouldn’t go down without them having a piece of your mind. Calling out on their schemes will make some embarrass— Cater, Ace, Epel. Others will be more aggressive or try to turn the situation around and blame you for overreacting.
Pulling a stunt as trying to knife one of them? May be successful if I’m honest. Depends on who you choose to do so, you won’t be alone in a group of two, they’ll always be another watching or tagging along. They’ll keep in mind to not let you be near any sharp or heavy objects, you clearly can’t handle being by yourself.
I can see a hot-headed reader making it far for themselves and not fall too deep into the victim pit. Standing up for yourself is already hard enough, you’re going against people who are training to become said mages. But at the end of the day everyone is still human no matter how cruel they are. They aren’t bullet proof nor emotionless. Get them to hurt, physically or mentally, with their guard down you can successfully have them under your thumb.
Reader who butts in first and steps up, show some respect around here. This will help you gain sympathy from bystanders and a little chance for them to befriend. That’s where Jack comes in. You’ve shown him you were worthy of helping and not just some runt who lets people walk all over them. This won’t be enough to overthrow any housewarden or powerful mage, but it’ll do.
People are not gonna enjoy your pushy and rude attitude for long, the pros and cons don’t weigh as equally. Especially when the cons lead to death.
“Oh but why don’t they get in trouble?”
Because they know how to clean up a scene and fast. Also who would believe you, a strange person who came out of the coffin when you weren’t supposed to be there. No one trusts you and won’t take your side, and since this is a bully!AU people tend to look the other way if murder is convicted. You aren’t all that important with little to no background, the perfect victim to get rid of.
And Idia gets rid of the evidence if there’s any camera involved.
You can’t just go around and stab people at random, let alone pick a fight. What you need is strategy. Be more self aware and focused, as difficult it is to talk to a brick wall, it’ll crumble if you stay long enough to experience it’s downfall. For those interested in knowing who can actually lose to a let’s say…neutral reader (fairly strong enough and a good amount of willpower), my take is on Riddle, Deuce, Ace, Azul, Jack, Epel, Rook, Vil, Idia, Malleus, and surprisingly last Sebek.
Should’ve switched the surprisingly for Rook because wow. Show them who’s boss babe, besides your cowardly counter part they are doomed if you’re more dominant. Not in a weird way lol, take the wheel of your life outta their greasy hands!

hi, i've getting into euphoria recently and i was wondering if you could write some poly!maddie and cassie with a fem!reader? it could be some time after season 2 with them liking the same girl, because y'know we love a trainwreck. reader is pretty normal, sort of like a background character but she's pretty charming and playful and just has no idea about any drama at school. she only knows these 2 as those girls who fought each other in lexi's play, poor girl has no idea what's going on. in truth, i just wanna see a trainwreck with maddie and cassie with a completely oblivious reader. sorry if it's a little long ;-;
I absolutely love this idea it literally temporarily got rid of my writers block tysm.

two months ago, you didn't have a clue what was going on between maddy perez and cassie howard. as far as you were concerned, they were just two ex best friends who both happened to like you. however, it was much more than that. you knew about nate jacobs, and the fact that he has been on-and-off with maddy, but you had no clue that cassie had been with him too.
you had your own little circle, consisting of stoners who never payed any attention to anything, and people who genuinely didn't care about their education, who hardly ever went to class. so when you asked your friends what had happened, they were clueless as well.
you'd never truly tried to find out what had happened between the girls though, or why they fought, even though you were friends with lexi. in all honesty, you thought it would be better if you stayed oblivious. why? because you knew that finding out could change the way you viewed them, and you weren't ready for that.
lexi had told you about a week ago that they liked you, and you had been thinking about what to do ever since. neither of the girls had ever been in a poly relationship, and you were certain that they never would be. you hadn't been in one either, the closest you had gotten was being in a open relationship.
however, when you got word from lexi that she had talked to cassie for you, your view on the situation changed.
"wait.. so, you like y/n, right?" cassie looked over at lexi, panicking and trying to figure out how she knew. "um, what? no, why would you even think that? that's like, so gross.. like who even is she?!" lexi laughed at her sisters behavior and rolled her eyes. "yeah, okay. you know maddy likes her too, right?" cassie sighed and looked away, now upset. "yes obviously I know, lexi." lexi muttered an 'ookay..' and thought about what to say next. she wanted to get cassie to be open to at least the idea of being in a relationship with y/n and maddy, she thought that maybe it would help it actually happen. of course, she didn't think this was the greatest idea, but she would do anything for y/n, even if it meant getting her sister into a potentially toxic relationship.
"so... would you ever like, be in a relationship with her and maddy? like if you were both dating y/n... separately? I don't know if that makes sense so.." cassie cut her off by yelling 'no!' and she turned to face the wall. "well.. I guess maybe, but I'm tired of sharing everyone with maddy. I guess if y/n really wanted it then yeah.." lexi smiled and got up, mumbling a quick thanks before leaving cassies room, leaving her to yell after her in a panicked voice. "wait you're not going to tell her, are you?... lexi?!"
yeah, she told you. you were really happy, you pretty much just got cassie to agree to a poly relationship with you and maddy. both of the girls would be dating you but not eachother, you didn't see a problem. you didn't know about their past with nate, so you didn't worry about them getting jealous of one another. all you had to do now was get someone to ask maddy if she would, and then ask them both yourself.
it wasn't as easy as it sounded.
you spent days asking around, trying to get someone who talked to maddy to talk to you. finally, you had settled on rue. even though you and rue didn't know eachother very much, she found your situation amusing, and wanted to help. so, she did the same thing lexi did, and asked her if she would ever date you while cassie did as well.
maddy was more adamant about not wanting to do it, but a few days later, you had got a message from her in the middle of the night, asking to meet up at a local 24-hour diner.
when you arrived, you found maddy sitting at a booth in the back. she stood up when she saw you walking towards her, and motioned for you to follow her back outside, behind the diner, where you found cassie waiting. it was cold and raining, but the three of you stood far apart from eachother in silence until cassie spoke up. "maddy, why the fuck are we here?" maddy sighed and stomped lightly, mud splashing onto her legs. she tried to speak a few times, but only ended up blubbering like a fish. she felt pathetic. "I just.. well I wanted to.. um.. well.. y/n can I talk to you alone?" you nodded and walked around the side of the building, until you were just out of earshot of cassie. or so you thought. cassie heard everything the two of you said.
"okay, fuck. I like you. kind of, like a lot.. and I want to be with you. and I know that cassie likes you too so I just want you to pick one of us and move on. please." you stared at her for a moment, but in your head you were bouncing off the walls and running in circles. maddy just told you that she likes you. holy shit on a stick. that was not something you were expecting to hear.
you opened your mouth to speak, but stopped when cassie came around the corner with her arms crossed and a baffled look on her face. "are you fucking kidding me? you brought her here to make her choose between us?" maddy sighed as cassie walked towards the two of you. "listen, its not going to work out if we do it any other way, I just figured we could get it over with." you stood there in silence as the two went back and forth, praying to god they wouldn't break out into a fight.
you backed up a few feet as the girls started to get closer to each other, and they noticed immediately. the two of them turned to you and stopped with their argument, before stepping away from eachother. cassie licked her lips and took a deep breath before gathering her courage to speak. "can't we just.. both date her?" maddy looked at her with wide eyes and her mind immediately went to rue. "wait, did rue talk to you too?!" cassie looked at her with a confused frown on her face. "..what? no, lexi di- nevermind."
you tried to hide the smile that was forming on your face. cassie actually just suggested that you be in a poly relationship. maddy sighed and looked around for a minute, before crossing her arms and speaking. "well.. I guess we could.."
and so, after a few weeks, you all got comfortable. it took maddy and cassie a bit more time than you, but you eventually made it work, even if you still have your ups and downs. now, you couldn't be happier.

Pairing: Pete "Maverick" Mitchell x Fem!reader
Characters: Fem!reader, Charlotte "Charlie" Blackwood, Carole Bradshaw, Bradley Bradshaw, Pete "Maverick" Mitchell, Nick "Goose" Bradshaw, Ron "Slider" Kerner, Leonard "Wolfman" Wolfe (Henry "Wolfman" Ruth)
Warnings: Crack, apart of the crack au, the boys are in left field, no one knows how to protect themselves from the supernatural, this has been in my docs for a bit and finally found the words to finish it, chaotic goose and maverick, we love these crackheads as crackheads, am I posting this before work? Yes
Word Count: 735
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You, Charlotte, and Carole weren't expecting anything out of the ordinary to happen today; it's Tuesday, a plain old Tuesday but- of course, Charlotte spoke too soon.
You walk out of the living room to work on getting started with dinner while Carole and Bradley work on getting the tv set up leaving Charlotte to quickly clean up the toys (since she's the one who brought them out [wanting to teach the youngest Bradshaw a life lesson]).
You brought up the idea of watching movies while you all wait for the guys to come home.
Her phone rings, her ringtone "great balls of fire", echoes throughout the living room, letting you all know it's her hubby calling.
You enter the kitchen in time to hear her tell Nick, "don't come home-"
You hear the instructor's laughter as you walk past the wall, unable to hear anything else; part of you can't help but wonder what she's talking about since they haven't had any issues lately.
You and Charlotte are the first and only ones she talks to if she needs advice, whether it be because of a relationship issue or how to make her hair look more fluffy and less messy, which is how lots of your conversations go.
-
Charlotte wanders around the kitchen making drinks (feeling you girls deserve them) while you work on the food, something you already planned on doing and not just because they all love your food.
You're in the cooking zone by the time you realize your phone is ringing) and not just because the blonde taps your shoulder, informing you otherwise.
You nod and walk towards the dining table to grab the hand towel, so you can wipe your hands and get rid of the vegetable juice to answer the phone.
You pick it up and hold it to your ear and resume chopping. You tap the speaker button and leave the phone close to you "Mav?"
"Who else would be calling you?"
The blonde chuckles.
"I don't know, a murderer."
The blonde behind you scoffs at the two of you.
"I want to murder that-" A scream cuts him off. "I hate them. I really do," he mumbles.
"Who the hell are you talking about, Pete?" You ask with amusement present in your tone. You pause, listening to the background noises, "Why does it sound like you're at a sketchy motel?"
"He's where?" She mutters, coming closer behind you so she can listen in.
He sighs, knowing he can't hide anything from you (or your extra set of ears). "We are."
"What the hell happened while I was at work?"
"You mean other than the fact that I'm dealing with idiots, not much."
You chuckle, swiping the chopped veggies into the pot on the stove. "Are you going to be home for dinner?"
He blows out a puff of air. "I don't know."
You purse your lips, knowing how idiotic the crew can be and can't entirely blame him for coming home late. "Be sure to call me when you know more."
"Trust me I-"
"Mayday, Mav, mayday! Wolf's pulling out the salt." There's a brief pause, "on the bright side, Slider's met his future wife."
He groans, "Jesus, I'm gonna go before they burn the place down."
You open your phone and check the post Carole sent you. "Hey Mav?"
"Yeah?"
"What the hell were you guys doing with a ouija board?" You can sense the cogs in his mind turning as he tries to come up with a lie.
"Just- I'll be home soon. This is connected to anything that's happened, we paid the electrical bill on the beach house, right?"
You glance at Charlotte. "We did."
She leans in, "if anything sounds sketchy, hangup."
"So now?" You roll your eyes. "Mav, don't stay out late. We paid the bill and don't wind up in the hospital this time, okay?"
"I make no promises," Nick shouts into the phone. "Let me speak to my, lady love. I need to say some things before I meet my maker."
"No, bye," she hangs up the phone.
"Char!"
"What? He was going on and on for so long."
"That doesn't mean you hang up on him."
She shrugs, "oh well." She walks back into the living room. "Care, your husband's going to come home possessed."
You hear her laughter from the living room and poor Bradley being confused.

So
Little Nightmares III, huh???
I was trying to avoid being excited about it because no solid release date and 2024 could be a few months from now or a year from now and Idk how long I can handle being so fuckin hyped for this game YEEHAW
BUT I CAN'T, I KEEP THINKING ABT THE GAME AAHAHHGAGA
so here are my thoughts, if you wanted to know
FIRST OF ALL, i am so glad that after we saw LTNM II we thought it'd be co-op but it was just an AI, that we finally get co-op! AND ONLINE TOO, i spent the first day worried it'd be shared screen same room situation since i wasn't trying to get my hopes up but then I realised I can just.. google it.. AND IT IS!!! ONLINE!! IDK WHO I AM GONNA PLAY IT W FIRST AAAAAAAA
anyways, you can definitely tell it's a new studio working on this game, the world feels mostly the same but the character designs themselves are definitely stylistically similar, but not the same. With Six especially, the MC designs were very simplistic and realistic but used colour (or for Mono, a single design quirk being the bag) to stand out against their backgrounds and against the enemies which are largely neutral colours. But these new ones feel... "over designed"? On their own they definitely aren't, but in comparison to Mono, Six, Seven, and even NPCs like the flashlight girl, they have a lot more going on (especially the little wrench kid, Idk which one is Alone and which one is Low yet btw OOP)
Despite it being a new studio and you can tell, new puzzles and environments, they're still doing their best to have the OGs vibes and whatnot to feel familiar, namely in the trailer they bring back the fuses, and the additional gameplay video there's a short scene with an environment with all the shelves you can find in LTNM 1s gnome section (the one with the cart that is affected by the Maws swaying).
But regardless, it still feels different enough my brain is still nervous about it. I also feel In A Way about Tarsier having LTNM II explode and their franchise getting the attention it deserves, only to have it stuck with Bandai and now it's going to likely explode again and they aren't involved. Idk how anyone on that team feels about it, but if it were me omg.
Also the only boss we've seen so far (i hope they add more and i def want some to be a surprise so im not gonna assume this is the only one for now) feels... out of place? it has the design qualities of a LTNM boss, but the size of it makes it more of a spectacle than a warped/corruption of an adult. All the previous bosses fit in their environment, we are the small ones and they are scaled to the world around them. This is the first time, outside monster Six who imo is a bit of an outlier anyways due to her circumstances, we're getting a boss who is this huge and doesn't even fit their own environment. I hope we get a lore reason for this in some way, because currently the boss doesn't have the same vibe as the others and it's throwing me off a bit. Don't get me wrong, it'll be terrifying, but looking at the picture as a whole they are sort of out of place for me rn. I don't hate the bitch either, I'm not gonna be like omg get rid of it or change it, but it does strike me as odd seeing it for now.
And yes the tall man is too tall for a lot of things, but he's not THAT big. He's more like yer tall guy who hits his head off doorways, which happens irl anyways LMAO
Little Nightmares primarily tries to capture the feeling of being a small child and how everything is big and scary, but a doll that huge is out of the realm of reality set up for us already. It's gone from scary corrupted animal to godzilla, if that makes sense.
OH AND THE MIRRORS ARE VERY LTNM COMICS OF THEM TEE HEE < 3

Long tangent. Started as marina and andy but got carried away. Don't read if you're sensitive and can't handle being critical of media.
On screen this season have we actively seen Andy interact with maya about the pregnancy? I want to say no. We really haven't seen a lot of Andy to begin with(it really feels like they leaned more on moving the story of the station through ross. Which just feels lazy and unnecessary. Ross does not need to be a focal point. Yes we get the bits about Andy trying to find ways of saving money without getting rid of anyone. But other than that she's just there. She got captain and then just really became this background character... they really said this is her only personality.)
But I digress, so Andy is the one to tell the team about liam right. At the ross/sullivan thing. But that just feels so lazy too. We get the moment where maya(as always) is supportive and there for Andy's captaincy christening or whatever, and the little moment before that where we get a flash back of them at the academy. Plus in episode one we get maya kind of giving Andy the pep talk. But other than that🤷‍♀️
So yea it just feels really lazy to have Andy suddenly be in the know about maya and carina and the possible struggle of adopting liam.(yes things can happen off screen but there's so much important talks and interactions happening off screen while irrelevant things happen on screen. TV is visual. We should be seeing and experiencing these moments)
This season has spent so much time on characters that do not need it. So many dynamics that do not need it. But when it comes to maya and andy... one of their root relationships, like andy and maya have been special to this show since s1... but we can't even get them actually talking?
Like we can't see andy talking about how far maya has come. Can't see her telling maya how happy for her she is? Nobody thought this would be good scenes to film? Andy who was there for their wedding, who helped convinced maya to stand up to Lane and invite her mom to the wedding?? Or like it would've been cool to have Andy come over to their new home, Andy having moments with liam in an "aunt herrera" type of way...(like just anything that could kind up resemble baby prue).
It really is just maya and carina in their own bubble until the writers suddenly want to put in a line(that feels half assed or last minute) to show "Hey yea remember the firehouse is a family"...)
This also reminds me of the way Jack's story is just resolved off screen after like 1 or 2 episodes? They could've drawn it out, could've shown the team, shown andy(give her something more than background captain character) being there for him and helping him find his next calling.
The way they just so easily write him out but then have him lingering in moments like the funeral and andy captain thing...like if they cared at all about their og characters they could've given him more.
Instead we got an episode storyline with beckett and his family(and like cool we see where the alcoholism comes from) but the continued desperation to have the audience sympathize with beckett. The continued way of trying to have the audience forget he spent a whole season and a half tormenting, harassing, and abusing his power while putting his team and civilians in danger...(no he doesn't need to be condemned to his actions-although the story has done no hesitations about condemning maya at every turn-but it would be nice if his story was actually well rounded. There was no real consequences for him. No real inner reflection when it comes to what he did to maya and the position he put the team in. Same with Ross. They really just wrote her as complacent(and wrote most of her time as chief with the only concern being her relationship with sullivan... but we're also supposed to forget that while they constantly have them talking about their marriage and how much they love each other and blah blah. Girl couldn't even balance being chief.)

I’m a background character but the villain’s mine pt.2
Changing pov in this one cause the first person didnt feel quite right. Content warnings: mentions of toxic relationships, toxic relationships, abuse, starvation, threats of human trafficking, fear, future smut.
“YOU-YOU ABSOLUTE DISGRACE!!!!” Mendellas father Lionas de Gregorian screamed as he slammed his hands on his office table. “YOU GOT YOUR ENGAGEMENT ANNULED JUST BECAUSE YOU COULDN’T SATISFY THE PRINCE YOU USELESS OMEGA BITCH!!!!!” he continued as the omega cowered before his rage. “But fa-” “NO! You have disgraced this family for the last time!” Lionas had stopped screaming but the anger was still obviously there. “*sigh* What do I do with you? At your age you should have already been married and had children.” . Just then one of Mendellas brothers barged into the room, ears up and tail fluffed and swaying behind him, with a downright devious grin. “Oh father~ I might have just the idea~” Rosino sang as he sat himself on his fathers desk. Before Mendella could protest Lionas interrupted with an “Alright let’s hear it.”. From the minute Rosino came into the room Mendella knew that this encounter would not end well for him. The bastards grin seemed to widen impossibly and his tail began to wag softly as he began explaining his ‘idea’. “You want to get rid of dear Mendella here right~? Well I just happened to overhear that one of your business buddies from overseas is looking for a new spouse aand~ we have a prefect candidate right here~!” he continued without letting Mendella say a word “Not only would our family no longer be in shame but your relations with that guy would become a lot better. So whaddya say father dearest? Isn’t this a goooood idea~?”. Lionas *hm-ed* as if deep in thought before nodding to himself. “Yes. That would actualy be good for us”.
Mendella finally found his voice and immediately protested the idea. “You can’t do this! You can’t just sell me off like some cattle!” his father turned to him and stepped forward making the young man take a step back, ears flat on his head and tail winding around his leg. “And what do you think we are supposed to do?” Mendellas father asked, anger returning to his voice. “You just want to get rid of me, right?” Mendella asked, trying to conceal the fear in his voice. “I’ll find someone who’ll marry me-someone simple and non distinct and disappear from the spotlight and your lives”. He knew he was bargaining and that this was pretty futile since that chances of finding someone who would want him after the annulment debacle were extremely low. “HAH! As if you could find someone. Just sit there prettily and get married to fathers friend already~” Rosino laughed. Lionas was honestly done with his sons nonsense and with a final sounding sigh he conceded. “Fine. If you can find someone who will marry you I’ll allow you to do as you please BUT if you can’t find someone in two months I WILL send Riobis that letter and ship you off to him. Sound good?”. “Yes.” Mendella knew that the last part wasn’t really a question and he didn’t have any other choice but to agree, nevertheless this gave him some hope of getting out of getting married to a man who could be his father. A look of anger appeared on Lionass face again as he turned to the nearest servant. “Lock that good for nothing in his room. Two weeks. Only water and plain bread. Once a day. Dismissed.” Mendellas ears stayed pressed to his head as he was lead to his cold, golden prison. He could faintly hear Rosino laughing as he walked. Mendella needed to get to work looking for his future spouse as soon as possible. Time is ticking.

You brought Nol and Yui up and elaborated on their dynamic beautifully, I just wanted to add something that I've been thinking about a lot lately. Nol isn't only a threat to Yui because he is a potential heir. He is also a threat because if he ever exposes what she did to him in the Hirahara mental facility, it could be her downfall. The incident between the brothers was something she was personally, directly involved in. It all boils down to her. Whatever the contents of Yujing's article will be, Yui will probably be able to weasel her way out of any accusations. (I don't see her standing trial for murder or any of the Kim's crimes anytime soon.) But this? This is not something she will be able to get away with that easily once people start digging and questioning things.
To prevent it all from coming to light, she needs to keep Nol in this miserable state. Similarly to how she needs Kousuke to have this warped perception of reality, the same applies to Nol. She needs him isolated, internalizing the guilt, believing he deserves everything that happened, that fighting back is useless and only leads to more pain. But if he ever breaks free from her control, finds support, starts unpacking everything that has happened... That's when he becomes unpredictable, and unpredictable is dangerous. Back then, Yui got rid of Nessa but let Nol live. I wouldn't be surprised at all if a day comes when she really regrets that decision.
And this really makes me wonder how exactly Nol remembers the incident. Does he remember it clearly, or was his memory warped? Does he stay quiet because it's his word vs Kousuke's Yui's the media the whole world so he knows no one would believe him? How did he process his time in the facility? Does he remember it clearly and would be able to talk about, or is it all a haze? Does he recall names, faces? Would he be able to recognize the people he met there again?
Related to this, I have this feeling that whatever was going on in the mental facility, is... bigger than Nol. Bigger than just one kid getting abused and brainwashed. What if he isn't the only victim. What if it is the entire facility, or at least a subsection of it. What if Yui, since she runs the facility, fostered this kind of environment? This is a sensitive subject so I'm trying to find the right words... Unfortunately, this is not as unrealistic as people might think. It's horrible and absolutely disgusting but abuse in mental asylums, as well as institutions with a similar framework like nursing homes, is not a rare occurrence, because of the power dynamics in place and the residents being isolated from the outside world. Unfortunately, not every nurse, doctor, or medical staff is a good, caring, kind person. Some of them are the worst, most heartless people who simply want to have power over others. And power is such a key theme in the story already, isn't it. Given the author's background in the medical field, I would not be surprised at all if this is something she is planning on commenting on in season 2...
[Content warning: In my response I will talk a little about implied sexual assault related to Yui.]
Oh man, this is such a GOOD message and I think you're bringing up something that hasn't been explored nearly as much so far! That, yes, as we move into s2 we are going to start seeing the much darker underbelly of the story that has been sort of held off for so long, things that have only been danced around, until our characters grow older, aaaaahhhh!
But yes, re: Nol and Yui, that's such a good point! Like... something that I've talked about with a lot of people lately is that maybe Yujing is actually working on two stories - one as a favor to Rand, to help rectify Nol's image and reputation, and the other her much bigger story about Yui and the Kims, because I agree, there is no way whatever she has right now is going to be able to make the necessary dent, it will be so easy to bury. But if it turns out she IS working on two stories, this does a couple things. First, it plants that seed of credibility. If Nol was, in fact, an innocent person pushed to take the fall of the Hirahara's partner's son, then what can that say about Yui, the Hiraharas, the Kims? What does that say about corruption amongst the elite?
And what does it say about Nol's past?
If Nol's image can be redeemed (as much as it can be, because I have no doubts there will be people would brush it off, but fortunately Yujing bears a reputation for her honest work and reporting) while planting that seed, then later in the future when Yujing has even more dirt, even more testimonies, even more events to report on, people will be more willing to accept it, to believe it, to start to see that corruption, and how good people lose their lives (whether because they actually die or it's a case like Nol, who hasn't really been "living" all of these years as much as going through the motions).
Being able to expose the kind of manipulation and meddling Yui has done would be big, for her both as a Hirahara and also overseeing the health facilities, the hospital, etc. Someone of her status and position manipulating and drugging her own child and step-son, institutionalizing someone who didn't need it, the things that went on in there? ;A;
You're right that it's very likely Nol is not the only person who was abused in that facility, and I think it's very likely, too, that we might see this further explored. Something I think about re: Yui is that she has some kind of trauma, too. Not just the whole "I am a woman and I resent the patriarchy for what I have never been afforded and I have had to work harder in order to get what I have" and the survivalist mentality of needing to be at the top so that no one can take your position, which is already... uh... a lot lol. But on top of that, I think it' very possible that Yui was possibly assaulted when she was younger (perhaps even by one of the Kims which is a whole other can of worms) and that in never getting to process what happened to her, in not getting to get much needed help, perhaps she internalized that in a very damaging way. That mentality that this happened to her because she was weak, because she wasn't vigilant, because she wasn't powerful enough could be a part of the way she treats others, how she has this almost.... doesn't it feel like she treats people like her prey, that they dance for her amusement? That maybe if they were stronger, if they were more powerful, she wouldn't be able to play them like a fiddle? And I think, in an insidious way, this goes hand in hand with what you're bringing up - about fostering an environment where people who thrive on power can lord that over others.
It's especially sick and dark because yes, you are right - there are people who do often need that help and don't get the help they need because of the kinds of people who work in those institutions. We do see that a lot in nursing homes! And given that Nol was institutionalized on a basis that seems to be largely fictitious, or at least that it wasn't what it appeared, it feels even more hand in hand that powers of abuse were at play in there.
I have a few thoughts additional to this, too.
Something I think about Nol at this time is that he probably WAS an angry, hot-headed kid. His mother uprooted him and moved them to a foreign country where they live as undocumented immigrants in a home that Rand pays for for them, but they aren't living as citizens of this place. They're effectively living in hiding, in the shadows of Rand's Other Family. He must have been so alone! He must have been so upset. His father is this man who has a whole other family, he's MARRIED, and his mother is essentially his mistress, The Other Woman. She uprooted their lives for THAT. To be near him even though they couldn't actually BE. Nol wasn't part of their lives, part of that world. Every interaction we've seen of Kousuke and Nol spanning those years is just Kousuke refusing Nol, demeaning him.
In 219 when Nol and Shinae are talking about not celebrating his birthday, he talks about abusing the cow that became your burger and it makes me wonder if Nol and Nessa argued when he was younger, when he was hot-headed and bitter and angry and upset about being forced to live like this for a man who never once showed the side of him that his mother insists exists. Did he say terrible things about her choices, about what she was doing? Did he say hurtful things?
And to this thought... did Yui ever drug Nol via tea with something that might amplify and exacerbate his already hot-headed, bitter, angry feelings? That made him lash out at an old brother who treated him like dirt. At a family that made him feel like an invisible monster, like a mistake? Could the incident that happened the night he was taken away have involved something like that? And even if not then, we know Nol has an aversion to tea, which means it could still have been anything else. And not only an aversion to tea but an aversion to Yui's touch, to her presence...........
Whenever I think about the time he was institutionalized, I think of it a lot like what I think conversion therapy sounds like. They took this kid who is, for the most part, pretty normal. Is he having adjustment issues? Probably. Is his anger misplaced and out of place? Probably not. They took this kid and convinced him that something is wrong with him - that he himself is an anomaly, a mistake. That everything would be better if he didn't exist. Like, I feel deep in my heart that what happened to Nol was deeply brainwashing in nature, psychologically impacting how he sees and perceives himself, how he thinks about these incidents in the past that he was involved in. That everything would be so much better if he just didn't exist. His mother wouldn't be dead. His father's family would know peace. They convinced this kid that bad things come to those he cares about, because he is a blight. That he was a terrible son and he lost his mother because of it. I feel SO STRONGLY that this must be why this mentality is so deeply ingrained in him, why it's something that he cannot just let go of, because his entire identity is deeply rooted in it.
His entire panic about waking up in the hospital, and how he could calm down once he found out it wasn't Hirahara Memorial. His aversion to drugs, even when it was a pain killer given by Kousuke at the beginning of the story. I just.... i just KNOW terrible things happened in that hospital to him, and probably to others. ;_____; I'm haunted by his aversion to Yui's touch, the way he reacts every time she reaches to him ugggghhhhhhhh
So yes, I do wonder how much he remembers of that time - and it's probably going to depend on any drugs they were administering (whether or not he needed it). I think, too, he probably was made to participate in anger management, which probably further just warped his perception of himself and his feelings, and what he's allowed to feel.
But as for that night in question, I get the feeling even Nol doesn't have a clear memory of it, based on the beginning of episode 150. Something we've been picking up on re: memory in ILY is that color is one of the factors that determines how clear a memory is. A good example of this is Shinae's recollection of the formal and how it all works backwards from blurry, black and white images and slowly gains more clarity and saturation as she returns to what wasn't affected by being drugged. Other things is stuff like in Kousuke's memory where Nessa's face is scribbled out.
Nol's memory of the night he was taken away is jarring - there's no clarity, everything is blurred as if it's in motion, we can't make out the images, the colors are inversed (he himself appears blue and black). I think this implies that he himself has a very tenuous grasp on what happened that night, cannot recall clearly for himself his memory vs what Yui said. The most clear things, in fact, are what he was saying, his insistence that he wasn't doing anything, that he didn't touch him, he just wanted to ask him something.
We've seen even in Shinae's memories that speech can become blurred, so Nol's speech being the clearest part....? Interesting, right? So there seems to be some conviction in what he said and insisted, but the rest of it seems to be vague, easy to manipulate, to convince him he's remembering wrong.
And I think there's two strong possibilities here.
The first is that Nol could have been drugged at that time - and this really plays into the theory that maybe he's been given things that amplify and exacerbate his emotions, make him look like he's a violent, unstable child, make him come across more belligerent. If he was drugged maybe that's why the vision is so blurred, so warped.
The other possibility is this: quimchee has revealed that Nol is practically blind without his glasses, is nearsighted, and that this is, in fact, plot-related. We also know Nol now wears contacts - perhaps so that he can never be left blind if he forgets his glasses (loses them, they're taken from him) and.... what if that's connected to the night he was taken away.
Further, on top of this, Yui is the spitting image of Kousuke, but in a wig. And the night that Nol was taken away? Yui's hand looked like it was scuffed/battered/injured.
So I think it's safe to assume that no one but maybe Yui (and Rand?) has the best understanding of what happened that night. It seems possible that Nol was without his glasses, so already all but blind, and based on this being such a traumatic event, the memory is already distorted, the colors show that. Even if he wasn't drugged when this happened, it seems like it's something he himself can't very well recall, except for the words he spoke. ;A;
And to tie in your initial points lmao yes I think that's a really important thing to remember. Yui needs to keep Nol in a state where he cannot question these things, where it's easier for him to believe these lies that he's been saddled with, to continue to believe that he is a blight, a mistake, something that never should have existed, that wherever he goes, doom follows, that those he cares about are damned by his association. Every time he takes interest in someone Yui sees to it that they are "taken from him" like how Alyssa was pushed into a career that would mean she doesn't get to see him, leaving him alone and isolated, and convinced that this is what happens. It's UGGGGHHHHHH it's so awful, but YES that's very much how she operates, and why it's so so SO important to me that Nol and Shinae talk, because like she told him back at the Parks, nothing changes if he leaves. She still works for Yui, she's still under contract. Rand has reinforced this notion, that she WILL NEVER ESCAPE and the best she can do is to learn to play Yui's games and fight the way she does. As long as Nol is alone, she can continue to isolate him, continue to use the people he cares about against him, to punish him with their harm.
But like you said - maybe if he can get away from that, he can get the much needed clarity. It will take a lot of work and patience to unlearn what has been drilled into his head, but I think being able to talk to Shinae, to be open with each other would be an important first step, so that they can never be used against each other, and so that he can see that it's not him - it's Yui, and it's always been her. ;A;

i love how lightfalls story will continue in Deep and the rest of the year and it's a great move
ut god i WISH they had that idea for Witch Queen. I NEED to know how the Lucent Hive are developing, there's so much we don't know, andi would love to see how they're developing on like a cultural level.
My biggest disappointment with Witch Queen year is that after the dlc & risen the Lucent Brood are basically treated as regular hive that we can kill with no problem's and like nothing is exploring them anymore
I know its not the case but it felt like Bungie was building to this like:
"Are the Hive brutal and reprehensible to us? Yes. Will they change their behavior with the Light? No. Do they still deserve to be treated as sentient ppl with Intrinsic 'humanity' even tho they arent as sympathetic like the Fallen or Cabal? Yes. Does that make them good guys? Do we have the right to kill Ghosts just because they made the crime of "choosing the wrong side" etc etc
And like make us realize everything is more gray. and make us ask questions about assumptions we had, are Ghosts allowed Autonomy? Do.we have an inherent deserving of the light etc
and then Bungie dropped it in a bin and never brought it up ever again not even in flavor text or lore tabs
Agreed 100%
Witch Queen was an absolute banger of a campaign that I consider pretty much flawless, but when it comes to the whole year of Destiny last year, a lot of it ended up falling flat. There are so many interesting things raised in the campaign, but they were never explored. It didn't truly feel like "Witch Queen year" since pretty much all most significant bits of the Witch Queen were not explored.
Most importantly the Lucent Hive. Even in Risen, they were kind of background. They were literally attacking Earth directly and killing Guardians, but outside of getting rid of a few pockets of them, they've not been mentioned outside of that? Are they still attacking Earth? Do they still try to get a fort on the Moon? Are they only listening to Immaru or are there other aspects of their leadership? What about Lucent Hive who decide to go their own way? We know they exist so what's up with them?
What about Immaru and Savathun in general? We've not tried capturing him or investigating more into what Savathun knew, how she constructed the Throne World, how she utilised Light, her connections to the Witness and the Fleet... Obviously this might get picked up when she's rezed again, but I feel like a lot of it would've been important in the aftermath of the campaign. We got minor tidbits when Osiris woke up, but that just raised more questions; Savathun knew some WILD shit and we never investigated it.
We'll see how this continuation of Lightfall's story will go next season. I'm hoping for a quest that deals with some of the aftermath of the campaign and gives us insight into how time progresses in-universe; have the characters learned anything new in the past three months? Osiris will be present so we might get some new insight into Strand or the Veil or the portal the Witness opened.
Obviously, that's best case scenario. We have no clue what the quest will be like and I don't want to overhype myself and expect some incredibly long mission with 4 lore books, but the general gist of adding more campaign content throughout the year is really good. In hindsight, I would've loved if we got that each year. Campaigns are fine as is to me, but adding more content throughout the year that's directly connected to the campaign (instead of seasons) would've been a real benefit to pretty much every year so far. I really like the idea of the expansion YEAR dealing with the expansion reveals and information for the whole year in a more direct way that isn't tied to seasons.

Will rhaena ever confront corlys for his treatment of laena's children in your fic? That guy needs to get someone to yell at him about how he treats his family.
Even vaemond in the show, the guy was his bro who helped him in his travels and fought beside him and all he does is complain that he deserved it for being too greedy, when he was just trying to save his home? How can that be greedy? I think vaemond grew up there too right?)
I also don't understand how laenor was ok with his (elder) sisters kids being usurped by non-velaryons. I thought he loved laena. That guy confused me a lot, i don't even think he loved the strong kids that much to give up driftmark for them if he wanted to escape with his boyfriend the first chance he gets.
Love your fic so much by the way ❤️
Thanks for the love. Back at ya. 💕
I think the problem with Corlys and Laenor and the Velaryons in general is that they're not really meant to be characters, just background plot devices no one thinks about for more than 0.2 seconds. If you look at them for 0.3 seconds, they fall apart.
I can't go too much into plans for swhhw without getting into fic-spoilers, but this is a justice fix-it fic, so trust that there'll be some by-his-own-petard-hoisting for Corlys at some point. Justice for Laena, Rhaena, Baela, Rhea, Vaemond... I don't know if I'm doing a confrontation scene tho because it's like Rhaena hardly knows him? He's not been visiting her in Pentos or Dragonstone. I kinda want her to treat him with the same disregard he shows her.
In the show, Laena was sort of a hostage on Pentos. Laenor's sort of a hostage in KL. Rhaena's sort of a hostage on Dragonstone and Rhaenys has Baela on Driftmark. No one ever really takes any action to protect them, help them, love them, look out for their best interests, etc. They're not allowed to look out for themselves or each other either. Hell, they're not even allowed to see and speak to each other. Each of the Targs just get to have one. Like house pets. Or worse house plants.
Or house cacti rather that no one ever waters. That's the level of development hotd gave them imo. They're really loyal house cacti.
Daemon's like "Mine died. It was kinda annoying."
Rhaenyra's like, "I know, right? Help me get rid of mine, I don't want it anymore."
He's like, "Fire works. Excellent Velaryon remover. But I have two more..."
She's like, "Well, Jace and Luke can have them. Velaryons are very loyal and can be handy to have around. Very useful. If it can bear a cup, it can bear a child."
And Rhaenys is just like, "Well, mine is actually a borrow from you, remember? Wasn't using it anyway, so sure, take it back if you need it."
So I'm Team Vaemond 4eva😅. Fluent in Valyrian, but unc chose to speak High Facts.
He lost the argument to Team Alternative Facts, but at least he said something.
Laenor... I can rationalize him by thinking that everything he's done since Joffrey's murder has been under duress. That's how he makes sense to me.
I mean, I doubt it was his idea for an immediate wedding while his boyfriend's blood was still being mopped up. He's sort of in the Criston situation imo. Yes, he's a man, with a much higher social position than Criston and a dragon... but can he truly say no to his father, Viserys or Rhaenyra?
I mean, what happens to him the minute he decides to say out loud that those children aren't his and that he dgaf? In the one episode we saw of their adult relationship, he's just being gaslit and taking jabs with no fighting back. We saw Rhaenyra pull rank on him when he just wanted to take a break from the shitshow and constant negging. What happens if he tells Daemyra he doesn't want to spend the rest of his life in exile? Is he afraid of the Divorce Rock™ being re-activated? 🤔
Corlys is in a vastly different situation and is just a horrible brother, father and grandfather. Like, I have him even below Otto and Viserys.
Viserys is a horrible idiot, but he still believes he's protecting at least 1 child and that the rest might be more or less fine in his batshit Legoland version of reality.
Otto clearly underestimated how shit Viserys was going to be. Probably thought, "Dude still plays with Legos. Not a drunkard, murderer or wife-beater. Relatively decent compared to most Targs and Westerosi lords in general. Kinda sickly, might die soon. Perfectly harmless and controllable."
In normal Westerosi circumstances when you have no inheritance of your own, getting your daughter married off to a supposedly kindly/soft/spineless king can be considered a good move for her security. I mean, how was he supposed to know that Viserys was going to descend into overt tyranny and become the "I'll have your tongue cut out" guy? Probably didn't expect Rhaenyra to take up Daemon's Heir for a Day energy either. Probably didn't expect her to become an "I want this ten year old who just lost an eye tortured" type person.
He's not Tywin. He can't do a Castamere on House Targ. So yeah, he put his daughter in a bad situation but he's right there with her in it at least, kinda, trying as best as he can to get her out alive, risking his own neck too. I feel like he'd be the only one of all the old fathers to confess that mistakes were definitely made and he definitely saw it going differently in his head. He has no dragons, no banners, no power other than his Hand job which can be easily taken away the moment he gets out of line as Viserys demonstrated. Like, Aegon is his best option and only hope. If your life depends on Aegon stepping up, you are not in a good place and I know you are crying in the shower.
But Corlys has a navy, a dragon through Rhaenys, is lord of the richest house, and seems to be actively trying to throw all his children and grandchildren onto a Targaryen pyre for no clear reason other than a desire to serve them up as tribute.
Even Rhaenys, the actual Targ, is like, "Maybe we should stop sacrificing children and give Driftmark to Baela so she has a home?" And he's just like "Naw... Fuck them non-Luke, non-Jace kids."
He's just the worst to me. If you take people's motivations and beliefs into consideration, their options, what they're working with, their goals, he's just indefensible. I cannot think of a single possible defense for Corlys. Not one.
Dude woke up from a coma, heard his brother had been murdered and thought "Vaemond had it coming. Lemme go bend the knee real quick anyway."
This is the character the showrunners used to pat themselves on the back for their diverse casting.
So I really really really hate Corlys. Like in a meta way. Cannot put into words how much of a disappointment watching him was.
Definitely getting his just rewards in swhhw.
Now that I've written this out, I actually want to kill him off.😅 You make a good point. If Vaemond deserved to be beheaded for his greed then surely Mr "I will sacrifice my children for likes" deserves worse.

Compleated Planeswalker Theories
Welp, here we go. I'm sure you've seen this image from earlier:
Tumblr media
We were told that five of these Planeswalkers would not make it through the events of All Will Be One without being compleated. So for the next month we get to think long and hard about which ones it'll be. For now, however, here's who I think we'll be losing to Phyrexia and who will survive to fight the good fight.
EDIT: I should mention that a big part of why I theorize who will be compleated and who won't be is primarily due to the assumption that each side will have a mono-colored cycle of Planeswalkers. I'm also looking at the What If artwork and making huge guesses about which color they'd fall into based on the design. My pairs are: White - Kaya (ceramic and flesh) and the Wanderer (Elesh Norn styled helmet) Blue - Jace (lots of neon and tubes, robotic features) and Kaito (neon accents) Black - Nissa (spines and rotted plates and noxious fungus) and Vraska (sharp segmented Sheoldred-like body, skeleton motifs in the background) Red - Koth (blazing furnace chest and also revealed card) and Nahiri (looks like she's in full control, least deformed) Green - Lukka (large body set in the Tangle / Hunter's Maze) and Tyvar (emphasis on muscles, "natural" features like hair and tentacles)
Koth of the Hammer
They already showed us his card! That said, his "What If" art is pretty neat.
SAFE (from compleation - nobody is safe from Phyrexia)
Tumblr media
Jace Beleren
Everyone's noticed it by now, but in his What If art, Jace has Luxior sticking out of his exposed heart. That's a very specific detail that all the other characters are lacking, and hints at some major story implications. Jace has been one of the poster boys for the game since his introduction, so it definitely fits the trope of a veteran leaving at the end of a massive crossover story arc.
That said, it gives me hope that the heroes will find a way to undo the damage of compleation, should they want that at the end of the storyline and beyond.
COMPLEAT
Tumblr media
Vraska
I think Jace's compleation is going to be a motivating factor for Vraska, and possibly even what causes her to join the fight.
At least that's what I set out to say. After considering each character's design and color alignment, a couple of predictions got shuffled around. At least her What If art is incredibly awesome, and very fitting for her.
COMPLEAT
Tumblr media
Lukka
Aside from the fact that his What If artwork is super fitting (and awesome), Lukka hasn't been a good character the handful of times we've seen him, and this could be a way for Wizards to sweep him under the rug. I think they'd even be willing to snip the whole "voice in his head plot" thread to get rid of him.
Again, that's what I would have said, but look at this art. We don't see any beasts in this piece. That said, it's him or Tyvar for the green rep, and I think Lukka is more likely to be safe in the end. If I'm right about the colors, we'd be seeing at least one Planeswalker in a new color in this set, and I don't think they'd introduce a new color identity to a Planeswalker after all the previous emphasis on how compleated versions of the characters have twisted versions of their personalities.
SAFE
Tumblr media
The Wanderer and Kaito Shizuki
They just introduced these two, and there's a lot more story left to tell for both of them. Tamiyo was already compleated. Jace and Vraska are a much more emotionally resonant couple in the story. And yes, there's a personal desire to see the Wanderer and Kaito have a chance at a happy ending, despite how amazing their What If artwork is (especially Kaito's monstrous spider form).
As a side note, Kaito's spark doesn't reside within him, and the Wanderer's is unstable. It's possible that Jin-Gitaxias would be able to fix both of those things, but unlikely, I think.
SAFE
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tyvar Kell
Dude is such a lovable himbo, but ultimately I can see Tyvar sacrificing himself to save someone else OR taking on a fight he doesn't know he can't win just to punch something. Either way, we just met him and have relatively little investment in his story.
Between him and Lukka as the green representative, I think Tybar is more likely to be compleated. I love the twisted Saitama vibes on his incredibly unsettling What If art.

Nissa Revane
Simply put, Nissa has too many loose plot threads dangling. Emrakul, Zendikar, Chandra, Liliana. I think Jace has a much better chance of being the veteran who bites it, and I doubt they'd off two original members of the Gatewatch in the same story.
That, and the face on her What If art looks a little too much like her regular face. I love the vibes though. It really screams (or perhaps whispers) "I am this forest."

Kaya Cassir
Kaya is an active character with a lot of story left in her, but it would make a lot of sense if she were compleated as an extension of that. She's already been a noble, an assassin, and guild leader, an assassin, a hero, an assassin, and most recently, a cog vital component in Teferi's time machine.
At the moment, she's super OP as a Planeswalker, able to transport other living creatures across the planes AND through time, apparently. Her What If art shows a very Norn-inspired look, which suits her pretty well.
COMPLEAT
Tumblr media
Nahiri
The fact that Nahiri's What If artwork looks so much like her original form made me think she was going to be one of the ones who were safe at first. However, she looks like she's actively enjoying her new state. And, unlike Tyvar, completely in control. That makes me think that she might strike a deal with Urabrask, undergoing Phyrexianization willingly.
Plus, I mean, sword arms.
COMPLEAT
Tumblr media
And there you have it. That's my theory on who's going to be compleated, and who's going to continue the resistance against the Phyrexian tide. I tried to look for details in the artwork that may hint at specific story points (like Jace with Luxior), as well as keeping in mind the fact that we'll be seeing two color-balanced cycles.
Tumblr media
As always, please share your own thoughts and theories. I look forward to seeing what we all come up with!

Hi! I’m a big fan of works and they’ve inspired me a lot to start writing fanfiction again(specifically Naoya lol). It’s been probably over 10 years since I’ve written fanfiction(Although I do write my own original works) and I’ve been horrified to write fanfiction again after how my first fanfic was treated when I wrote it as a kid(the criticism was valid but they were mean af about it). So I was wondering if you have any tips you could share about writing fanfiction and how you balance characterization as well as character growth for a character like Naoya who in canon does not really have any? I hope this makes sense. I’m willing to elaborate further if it doesn’t but if you don’t wanna answer this, it’s totally fine too-💚
Hi!!! Omg thank you so so much!! I'm so flattered :')))) akgakjgjakjgujka I never thought i'd be in this position, idk, like, I was the one that looked up to others you know?
but aaaaah thank you so much for your lovely words 🥺❤️
Now onto the good stuff hehehe.
So, I guess the best way about characterization, at least what I think has helped me (and how I handle it? excuse me if it doesn't make sense hahah) is trying to first analyze the environment in which said character grew in, how it affects him, and how it has affected people in real life. (cause at the end of the day, reality surpasses fiction)
For example: with what little we got from Naoya in the manga (extras included) I can easily say Naoya is not liked, thus, he’s very lonely. The type of person that surrounds himself with “yes-people” because of what they represent, not because of who they really are. Of course, the older he got the more cold/resentful he became, but even then, I was sure that he always craved what he never had in his life, a family. Love. Appreciation for who he is. All humans want that, we’re social people, we live in societies for a reason. We need to have companionship, either through partners, or friendships.
I also get the idea that, even when he was supposed to be the next heir, no one really wanted him. Like, he got the job because “There was no one else” to do it, not because he was the best candidate. I have no doubt that if Naoya failed his weird plan of getting rid of Megumi, or whatever he did he didn’t become heir anyways, he wouldn’t know what the hell to do with his life, an identity crisis would certainly be on his way.
Anyways, in order to get inspiration I tend to hear lots of podcasts about people and their peculiar stories, true crime even, it’s how I concluded that Naoya is definitely a womanizer not because he likes the act (I’m sure he does) but because he craves attention, and he needs it whenever he can. That kind of stuff, you know? A lot of psychology stuff too, it helps you understand what traits a lonely person can inhibit, their actions, what different environments do to different people, so on and so forth.
Also, reading other stories is certainly very inspiring/productive too :> I can easily say that Naoya and his family is based on the Todoroki’s from bnha: prodigy child, rest of the children are neglected, some of then even jealous… it just made sense. And I’m sure there’s more examples like that. There’s no shame in getting inspired by other works, as long as it’s not a carbon copy, you know?
In the end, I guess the best way to do characterization/character growth is to do lots of brainstorming, in the sense of: what is the environment that this character grew in? the problems he can face in such place, the reaction, his main goal, what he’s doing to obtain it, and so on. Developing these things will make the pieces slowly fall into place when it comes to making a character’s background/growth/personality 🤭it’s really fun, more so when you have a blank canvas to work on 😏
Well, I hope it was of any help!! I really don’t know how else to describe how I do these things, I just spend most of my time daydreaming and such. But still, if there’s anything else you’d like for me to further explain, just let me know and I’ll do my best ❤️
Take care, and hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
P.S. Don’t let reviews discourage you from writing fanfiction!! I know everyone has their opinion, but at the end of the day it’s your work, and if they don’t like it, they can write their own!! 🥺 so cheer up!

CHARACTER ASK GAME YES :DD
Okay.. 9, 10, 27 for Orsinio, 1, 11, 31 for Miles, 4 for Sam, and G for you + O! (Ik this is a lot I just adore your stories, don’t feel obligated to answer all of them!)
"Adore" Thank you 🥺💜
Under the cut because it got long. Ask game here
9. Do they swear? Do they remember their first swear word?
Not sure what his first would be. Orsinio uses the period-typical "damn" most frequently. He doesn't swear much but when he does he prefers to do so in Irish
10. What lie do they most frequently remember telling? Does it haunt them?
When Orsinio first came to the Neath, he was dodgy about his background and used an ambiguous London accent because he was on a revenge quest and didn't want to have his quest slowed down by unwanted attention. Almost as soon as he was done with Nemesis, he stopped hiding his identity, and that time period of his life is the biggest falsehood he regrets.
27. What causes them to feel dread?
The idea he and his loved ones may have been played as pawns in the machinations of a higher, distant, cruel power. The idea of any of his loved ones being in danger and him being powerless to intervene, all his learning for nothing--or, if he does have the power to intervene but the person won't let him.
1. What’s the maximum amount of time your character can sit still with nothing to do?
Miles can be still for a long time. They have a fluid and intentional type of moving. Miles can concentrate on one thing for hours and not move an inch. This becomes troublesome when the thing being focused on is dark magic.
11. How do they cope with confusion (seek clarification, pretend they understand, etc)?
If Miles finds something they can't understand, they tend to walk away, not willing to waste time on it. There's a note of pride with thinking anything they aren't immediately good at isn't worth learning. When confused with emotions, Miles buries the emotions even harder. Miles isolates like a cat when feeling off-center. Orsinio does the same thing. In a rare moment of weakness, Miles might go to Orsinio for answers. Despite everything, Orsinio wants to help. But Miles never likes the type of answers or help Orsinio can offer, and everyone gets even more frustrated.
31. Who are they the most glad to have met?
The most important person to Miles is their younger sister. Even at the darkest moments, thinking of Marguerite reminds Miles they have some humanity.
4. How easy is it to earn their trust?
Samuel trusts people until he gets a reason not to; or he doesn't trust people until he gets a reason to. Basically, in most cases, he doesn't feel strongly either way. Saving his life or having the courage to speak up when he's doing something questionable can earn his trust. The kids earned his trust simply by bothering him repeatedly until he couldn't and didn't want to get rid of them.
G. What trait of theirs bothers you the most?
Ooh what would this answer be. I thought about this for a while. The thing is, a lot of his flaws, I can be sympathetic with. He can be stubborn, or impulsive, or have a hard time letting others help, or have a black/white view of morals, or have a bit of a guilt complex. While making that list, I realized the thing that bothers me most would be his risk seeking/gambling with his own life type of behavior. Risk for addictive tendencies manifests in that way. He's significantly improved on this issue since the breakdown arc, but it does linger in his playing chicken with dealing with the Masters. I'm interested to finish Por Una Cabeza since it's about gambling.

Hiii, how are you Chaos???
I haven't read the comics, if I'm not wrong you have, right? Because you know a lot of things about J and It is just incredible
If you have read the comics, could you explain a bit about how Joker is in those? (If you have based your version of J too pls)
ALSO, you said Frost appears in the comics, but the only Frost I've found is this woman
https://images.app.goo.gl/NuHiHAFUWuNNDYDk6
And the only goon of Joker that I've found is this one (I know Neo and Mac are your ocs but I remember you saying that Frost appears in the comics)
WOW CHAOS I WAS LOOKING FOR A PIC OF THE OTHER GOON AND FOUND THIS MAN NAMED JONNY FROST(????
https://images.app.goo.gl/XzVwFc8fH9dDDhNi6
Is this who you based Frost of? I can't find any black man named Frost And he is said to he the mist loyal man
This is the other goon, does he exist in the Chaos universe?
https://images.app.goo.gl/8RJfjhrC3bJL6irE6
I believe his name is gaggy? I'm not sure
I would love to see his dynamic with Joker/his goons, maybe he is part of Joker's past? Someone he had to get rid off
In short, you would do me a great favor if you explained a little about the Joker from the comics and what parts of him you have taken for your story because I find it very interesting 😭
and his anarchist side too because I don't get why does he do all that, does he simply want to watch the world burn? Just Chaos? Is that it, he isn't power hungry nor he wants another person to have political control? Doesn't he do all that because he believes in something?
SORRY FOR YAPPING 😭
Hey hi anon 🖤✨
I'm doing lovely! omg Chaos universe has me in a spiral!!! I'm popular enough to have my own universe😫what an honor! And DO NOT apologize for yapping! I read every word with rapt attention.
So let's discuss anon! Grab a seat and a snack, we're going in deep!
Yes, I've read most of the comics save for a few here and there. Depending on the comic..... Joker is either a jester who kills for fun, the epitome of evil who thinks killing is funny, or clinically insane and doesn’t see the difference in anything. He just out here ballin’ or all of the above.
The Joker is so complex I could write essays for the rest of my life talking about him. My favorite depiction of J is from The Killing Joke although in the “Chaos universe” (I love saying that) Joker derives from the Nolan trilogy and the Arkham Games. Heavy on the games; they’re my favorites for a reason. So a mixture of all Jokers really 🤔 Here's a chart if you're interested! I've seen/read/played them all except for 2019.
Tumblr media
Anyhoo. Yes! That's Killer Frost a completely different character who is absolutely amazing in her own right. Good call out 😉
Tumblr media
AND CONGRATULATIONS FOR FINDING FROST! Let’s talk about Frosty!!! ❄❄❄❄
Tumblr media
Although this depiction of Frost sorta kinda betrays Joker and ends up being killed for it, I took some creative liberties with making him my own.
Joker's Loyal Three what a concept. Mac and Neo are of course my OC's (I did not have to go so hard creating them 😤but I did)
Frost is actually albino but since I write for people of color.. I made him African American so he’s kinda a OC to an extent. Frost is divorced in my series and he has a daughter which I named Genesis so I'm staying canon but giving him a Chaos spin.
There are some background conversations that reference Frost in Arkham Asylum (or maybe Origins) and I just felt it was the right thing to do to honor Frost and give him flowers. I think details no matter how small really matter when creating a story.
I honestly don't know this third character Gaggy? so no he will not be making a cameo in any of my series 🤣
Now. As for Joker's schtick. Everything to Joker is funny in some way hence the name. Once you take that away aspect, Joker isn't really that much of a threat. He has no superpowers, no advantage other than being unpredictable and insane-- so the reason why Joker "does what he does" (I think) is maintain his one desire. To be remembered.
His ultimate fear (in the comics) is being forgotten and if no one pays him any attention... 🤷🏾‍♀️poof. So Joker pulls these elaborate stunts, he works hard to gain Batman's attention and be the number one villain to stay memorable and feared by the citizens of Gotham. Yes, he wants to watch the world burn, no he really doesn't believe in anything. That's what makes him a threat. He's unpredictable even after all these years.
Some versions of Joker (the one's I like) he knows what he's doing is wrong, yet he does not care. He isn't power hungry, he doesn't care about the average man, he just wants people to see the world like he does as One. Big. Joke.
He's that de-synthesized, that far removed from humanity that if he dies, oh well. Now if Batman dies... now that's another story. No one entertains Joker's mental instability the way Bats does. A world without Batman is another big fear for Joker.
It's also the biggest fight of them all; good verses evil. Batman vs. Joker. Never ending, an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object.
Lol, now I'm yapping and quoting The Dark Knight. 🤣😭

Last Twilight had the worst ending...
I know, this is old news and the series ended a week ago BUT I have exams coming up, so this post got delayed. Anyway, here's my opinion about this ending after reading a bunch of MDL reviews, all saying the same: The way Last Twilight ends is insulting.
This series totally missed the point, the ball didn't even look at the goal and went the other way. They messed this up so badly, I'm mad. I can't even laugh about it 'cause it was such a great series. Episode 9 made me weep ... and then came everything else.
We spend time with Mhok and Day, forming a bond though they seemingly have nothing in common. Day is very self-centered and wants to be pampered but Mhok doesn't go all the way. He's his caregiver but he draws lines. There's a problem rising in the background: Mhok is too nice. He never calls Day out for crossing the line, he talks his way around it, he makes sure Day still feels warm in is heart. Mhok is the kind of person who desperatly needs people around him and he keeps them close no matter what, so sometimes, he's misunderstood or overshadowed. I hoped for some kind of conflict about Day taking but rarely giving. There's only one scene where we can see a glimpse of it. It's just one line and 10 seconds and the series goes on as if Mhok didn't say anything, as if it was a joke but it was so much more and I wished for a conflict like this but it never really came.
"Day, I think you can be so inappropriate sometimes."
It's what Mhok says in episode 8 when they wake up at the beach after partying all night. I felt his line, I sat here like "exactly, tell him!" But sadly we won't get to know more about this. Every conflict, every scene and every little action is about Day. It's so much about Day that Mhok doesn't get to say honest feelings like that even if those are negative. Because yes, Day is inconsiderate. We follow his struggles after turning blind. Even after a year, he didn't get used to it and he projects his lack of self esteem on other people, trying to find something others like about him, so he could learn to like himself as well. And Mhok gives it to him because Mhok gladly makes him feel at ease and Mhok is a people pleaser. They both have their own journey and arc but I feel like their relationship is unbalanced. Throughout this entire run, I felt like these two needed to get rid of this inbalance in order to be able to move forward. The conflict is inevitable BUT the thing is, they didn't go through with it.
The inbalance is the reason for their conflict but it's not solved or named. Mhok gets the job offer abroad and declines. It's his decision and I'm very sure he didn't make that decision entirely about Day. Leaving the country is not something one instantly does and I understand why he doesn't want to go. Yes, he doesn't have many people holding him in Thailand but leaving is still hard and not an easy decision. I get that. Plus Mhok and Day are adults, they are in their twenties, they are no children. While Mhok actually behaves like he thinks about many factors before making a decision and is careful about his next step and what it would mean, Day just makes everything about him and his blindness. Yes, Mhok is probably staying because of Day. No, he's not staying because Day is blind. That's why their relationship started, because Mhok didn't see Day in a different light, because Mhok doesn't care if he's blind or not. I am so frustrated thinking about it lmao
Well...I hate their breakup since they are not properly addressing the real issue. Day says he's holding Mhok back and Mhok says he's afraid of losing people which Day chooses to ignore. Mhok's story starts the day his sister dies...Day knows Mhok doesn't have a family, yet it's about Day's blindness??? It's so inconsiderate that it's insulting Mhok's entire personality.
This series refuses to let the characters work on their relationship together because of this stupid "cursed 11th episode" thing. Mhok and Day are insecure when it comes to the other but they could go on the journey together and see the world in a brighter light. But no, Mhok cries on his own while Day had two people hugging him and nobody cares where Mhok went - not even Night. I was so disappoited how this all turned out.
The breakup is not even the worst, it's what comes in episode 12 that really made me angry. What do you mean, three years have passed? Mhok and Day never tried to talk it out? Mhok never reached out? Mhok thanks Day for the break up? Where am I? What is this? I'm crying internally.
Anyway, we see Mhok coming back for the wedding and as soon as he sees Day, he randomly starts hitting on him...? First of all, the way they talk to each other lets me assume they have stayed in contact or reached a mutual understanding, so why have they not talked it out? They seemingly haven't been talking about their conflict at all but why are they so friendly? Shouldn't they be mad at each other or not talk at least? Instead we see an extremely happy Day and an inappropriatly flirty Mhok. Their personalities seem to have been thrown out of the window and we get too many scenes of Day saying he's uncomfortable and Mhok pushing himself into Day's space. It's aweful. The wedding was sadly very uninteresting, I skipped the speaches and I certainly skipped that weird dancing scene. What was all of this for?
And then, they get to talk. Mhok apologizes and Day is finally a grown-up. I understand where both of them are coming from but that little talk didn't go anywhere. Their conflict still hasn't been resolved. After another forever they hug it out and happy end. Well, okay. I guess Mhok realized he put Day before everything which he shouldn't have done and Day was too selfish to see Mhok suffer. It's fine for me, not the best way to show us their growth by inserting a three year time jump. I'm still not sure in what way they have grown or how much they each overcame their issues. It's very lazily written.
But then they hit us with THE worst ten minutes I have ever seen.
Day gets his eyesight back.
I'm sorry, what was the point? Did the writers change? Did they have amnesia? This is not what the series was about, is it? We see Day starting to accept himself though the struggle never really stops. But still, he owns a book store, he went to university, he goes outside and is not too shy to ask for help. He doesn't overthink what people may whisper about him when he walks around or eats outside. He is much more confident and shines from the inside. He's not insecure any more. This series showed us his journey of learning to live with a disability.
And then this disability is healed and his life is shown as much better than before. What a message.
It's so insulting.
And the last scene made it so much worse. They look at the sunset where Day lost his eyesight (and "turned into stone" (I cried so much)) and he has the audacity to make fun of Mhok's "do you still think I pity you." I was so pissed, that line meant so much to them both back then and now it's made fun of? Never make fun of moments when you were at your lowest, Day. I love Mhok's face because he's going through it. He smiles it away but he's a bit awkward lmoa
But seriously, what an ending. It's so bad... The show is just great but the last episode is so low and lazy.
