(I wrote a 'day-after-Sirius'-birthday' fic! Totally not just me being late for Sirius' birthday. Nope, not at all. This was planned. With a very Fluffy ending, because Sirius deserves happiness for his day-after-his-birthday!)
@wolfstarmicrofic 3rd: gather
862 words
Remus is doing his semester abroad, and Sirius goes to surprise him with a visit and a confession.
At Your Doorstep
Sirius tries to gather his courage. Not for the first time, he curses James Potter's name, while simultaneously thanking his lucky stars to have someone like James Potter in his life.
Yesterday was Sirius' birthday.
His birthday plans consisted of sitting at home playing sad songs on his guitar while wallowing in self-pity. James came to visit anyway. Sirius wouldn't have blamed him if he hadn't, as Sirius hasn't exactly been fun to be around lately.
Remus left two months ago to do his semester abroad. Of course, Sirius knew he was going to miss him, but god, he hadn't expected it to be this bad! He's been a shell of his normal self, acting cranky, short-tempered and withdrawn.
James did, however, manage to pique his interest with his birthday gift: plane tickets to go see Remus.
When Sirius immediately wanted to grab the tickets, James had quickly pulled them out of reach. "Uh-uh, if you want them, you must first accept the terms and conditions."
"And what are those?"
"You can only go if you promise that when you're there, you're going to tell Remus how you feel."
The prospect of seeing Remus again was too much for Sirius to resist, so he had accepted James' terms. He had promised, solemnly sworn even, something they do not take lightly, to confess his feelings for Remus.
Sirius got on a plane yesterday, flew all night, took a cab giving the driver Remus' address, and now here he is, standing on the doorstep of some student housing appartement getting ready to put it all out there for the person he can't deny anymore he's terribly in love with.
He takes a deep breath and knocks.
The door is thrown open and a lanky guy with bouncing red curls appears.
Sirius realizes this must be Fabian, Remus' roommate. Despite never having spoken with Fabian, or even having seen Fabian before, Sirius does not like Fabian. Remus talks about his new roommate just a tad too much for Sirius’ liking. 'I was having dinner with Fabian yesterday… Fabian took me to this coffeeshop the other day… Fabian and I are going to watch this movie…'
Fabian looks Sirius up and down, and then a flirtatious smile appears on his face as he leans against the doorpost. "Why, hi there. How may I help you this evening?"
"I… uhm, I'm looking for Remus?"
"Oh." Fabian visibly deflates and he straightens. "I'm sorry, Remus is unavailable today, I'm afraid."
"Unavailable?" Sirius repeats.
"Yes, he made it clear he is not to be disturbed from his utmost important task of feeling sorry for himself," Fabian says. "Apparently, his guy back home had his birthday yesterday, and when Remus didn't hear from him, he spent the day convincing himself that his crush has forgotten all about him and must have been out partying with other boys all night." Fabian rolls his eyes. "I've tried to get him out of his room, but he has opted to wallow in his misery about his unrequited crush instead."
"His…crush?" Sirius manages to say, his brain still trying to catch up.
Fabian squints his eyes and looks at him more closely. "Wait… 'tall and broad-shouldered', 'Hair the colour of the night sky falling in soft waves over his shoulders', 'bright eyes with an ever-present sparkle'..." He gasps and clasps his hand over his mouth. "Oh my god, it's you! You're Sirius Black!"
Sirius nods dumbly.
"Oh, no, no, no." Fabian hides his face in his hands and groans. Then he looks at Sirius again, pleadingly. "Please, please tell me you're here to confess your undying love for Remus, so that he isn't gonna murder me for spilling the beans?"
"Uhm, yes?"
Fabian's mood changes instantly, and a relieved grin spreads over his face. "Excellent!" He exclaims, and before Sirius can say another word he turns around and shouts "Remus! There's someone here to see you!"
Sirius hears a door open and close, some shuffling, and a moment later, Remus appears in the hallway. He's wearing pyjama pants that are too big and his most worn-out jumper with both old and new food stains, he has chocolate smears around his mouth and his hair is sticking up in all directions.
He looks perfect.
"Fab, I told you, I don't want to see anyone today. I'm-" His eyes fall upon Sirius and he immediately goes quiet, his mouth falling open.
Sirius has spent his whole flight thinking about what to say, rehearsing the words in his head, but now that Remus is looking at him, and he's looking at Remus, he's overcome with just how much he missed him. Words suddenly don't seem necessary. He rushes towards Remus, and Remus snaps out of his daze just in time to take a step towards him, before Sirius gathers him in his arms.
"What are you… How are you… Is this real?" Remus stammers, clinging to Sirius' shoulders.
"I missed you," Sirius whispers into Remus' hair. "I missed you so much. I just had to see you."
Remus lifts his head and searches Sirius' eyes, and what he finds there is really all he needs to know.

Wolfstar Micro Fic - @wolfstarmicrofic promt: College/University - 297 words
Remus doesn't pay attention to Professor Binns. His laptop is open with a blank document, but he’s spent the past half hour staring out the window at the summer day he should be enjoying. It’s a joke he’s being forced into resits. He’s turned in every essay, never scored lower than a 2:1, but because of some stupid attendance grade that no one else cares about, he’s stuck spending his summer in some dingy seminar room.
Sirius is sitting next to him and from anyone else’s perspective, it probably looks like he's diligently taking notes. Except every time Remus glances at his notepad, it’s full of doodles and sketches. He doesn’t know Sirius very well, he’s seen him in other lectures but that’s about it. He’s got an intriguing air that could be loosely defined as a crush (Remus isn’t blind, he knows an attractive man when he sees one) but Sirius probably doesn't even know his name, probably wouldn’t have even noticed Remus' existence if there hadn't happen to be a free seat next to him.
A collective groan erupts from the class that snaps him to attention. Remus’ eyes dart to the front to see what he missed.  “What was that?”
“Group project,” Sirius mutters under his breath, “final grade is a presentation.”
Remus lets out a low sigh and slumps further into his seat. “Fantastic.”
“For the sake of simplicity,” Binns drawls on, “the person sitting closest to you will be your partner. You can use the rest of today's session to decide on your topic.”
He can feel Sirius’ eyes on him and Remus glances over to meet his gaze. There's a slight smile on his face that takes Remus by surprise. “Well, guess you’re stuck with me for the summer, Remus.”

Lily and James were pregnant with Harry when they were 19/20 so if your muggle/college AU doesn't have Lily freaking the fuck out between lectures, James asking his dad for a bigger allowance because now he has to buy more than redbulls, microwavable meals and alcohol, OR Sirius and Remus watching harry run around the quad while Lily takes a final and James is at wrestling/rugby/any sport practice, I don't want it. Bonus points if Alice "out of college and married, thus making her a 'responsible adult' in Lily's eyes despite being 23 and tired" Longbottom babysits Harry and forces him and Neville to be friends. Bonus Bonus points if Harry is born during Marlene and Dorcas's semester abroad, and when they come back and watch harry, everyone thinks they had a baby.

Prompt 12 - College AU
@wolfstarmicrofic April 12, word count 408
Remus didn’t think he’d make it to college. He’d scraped through his GCSEs, and A-Levels would be so much harder. But he felt better now. The doctors had finally figured out which meds worked for him, and he could go the whole day without feeling horrendous. But the piece of paper he clutched in his hand gave him hope.
His parents sat across from him at the kitchen table, waiting for him to tell them what it said.
“What does it say, cariad?” His mother asked. He looked up at her, blinking the tears back.
“Well?” His father asked impatiently.
“I got in.” He grinned at his parents. “I got in!” Hope jumped to her feet and enveloped him in a hug as he began to sob. Lyall rolled his eyes but came to join in the hug as well.
“Well done, son. I’m proud of you.” His father told him. Remus didn’t think he’d ever said that to him.
“Can I call Sirius?” He pleaded. They were supposed to be going out for the day. Lyall had them on a strict itinerary, and Remus had already wasted time staring at his letter.
“Oh, let the boy call his Beau, Lyall. What’s ten minutes?” She cooed at her husband as she purposely wrapped her arms around him and used her slippered foot to push Remus towards the door. She winked at him when he looked back.
Sirius picked up on the first ring.
“I got in!” Remus trilled. He knew Sirius had been worrying as much as he’d been and didn’t want to keep him in suspense.
“Really?! Yes! So did I! Remus, this is amazing! We’re going to have so much fun!” Remus indulged his boyfriend, letting him make plans for them for the next two years. He made Remus a promise to help him with his coursework if he wanted him to and got Remus to promise to help him if he needed it.
His father appeared, tapping his watch, and Remus nodded.
“Sirius love, we’re going out for the day, and my dad’s waiting.” He reluctantly cut Sirius and his sweet ramblings off.
“Oh, no worries. Have fun. Say hi to Lyall for me and give Hope a kiss from me. Love you.” He blew a loud kiss down the phone to Remus, making Remus smile.
“Love you too.”
So far, this was shaping up to be the best day he’d had in a while.

Can you help me find a fic I already read? it's a wolfstar fic from ao3 where Remus has a bad financial condition so Sirius pretends to be a thief and furnishes his house. Sorry my english is terrible.
This fic is a DELIGHT! Hope you enjoy the reread!
The Barista, the Burglar, and the Sofa (orphaned account) This is the story of twenty-three year old Remus Lupin, an overworked graduate student and underpaid barista, who comes home one day to find an exceptionally attractive man has broken into his flat. Given the neighborhood he lives in, that isn’t a huge surprise. He is surprised, though, when the burglar comes back with a sofa.
Alternatively, this is the story of how Sirius Black tries to seduce a man by slowly furnishing his flat.

I'm trying to write about dead gay wizards being alive gay uni students but apparently my boyfriend decided it was important I discuss the significance of Batman's identity being revealed compared to Spiderman's. He did the same when I was watching The Hobbit.

(Early for @wolfstarmicrofic! That's new for me! Wolfstar Get-Together Fluff! That's not new for me😋)
4th: Tumbling
It was a right person at the wrong time situation. Now, time has changed, but, as Sirius points out, the person hasn't.
Literally Right Here
Remus steps outside, hoping that the cool air will calm him down a bit. He feels frustrated and annoyed. Also a little hurt. And okay, admittedly, jealous.
Prewett eyeing Sirius up all night. Dearborn buying him drinks with his endless stream of flirtatious comments. Fenwick touching Sirius’ arm constantly and so very unnecessarily.
“Rem? You okay?”
Sirius.
Remus takes a deep breath and turns around. “Yeah, alright. I’m just... frustrated.” He wasn’t really planning to elaborate much, but maybe the frustration is just too strong, because the words keep tumbling out. “With the whole situation. I mean, I don’t regret it. I made the only decision I could’ve made, I know I did. But sometimes I just wish I didn’t have to make that decision, you know?”
“...not really,” Sirius says slowly.
Remus sighs and looks away. “I guess I just hate that I’ve missed my chance.”
“Chance at what?”
“Dating.”
Sirius chuckles. “Remus, what are you talking about? Of course you haven’t missed your chance at dating! You’re only twenty-two, for god’s sake. You’re smart and handsome, and everybody adores you. You still got plenty of opportunity to date.”
“Dating you, I mean.”
A couple of years ago, Remus was in a bad place.
He’s had a lonely childhood, living off somewhere remote with only his parents, being home-schooled. He only got into contact with kids his age when he went to high school, and that went... poorly. Remus wasn’t used to social situations, plus he looked different because of the scars on his body from an accident when he was six years old, and he quickly learned how cruel kid his age can be.
When Remus started college, he met Sirius, James, Peter, Lily, Marlene and Mary, who were kind to him and wanted him around, and Remus... did not take it well. He felt like a fraud. Like he was fooling them into thinking he was a person worth having around, misleading them by making them believe he deserved their friendship, and it would only be a matter of time until they found out he really didn’t.
Then, things got even worse when an uncharacteristically nervous Sirius confessed that he had an interest in Remus that went beyond friendship, and asked him out on a date.
Remus completely panicked. Just the idea of dating Sirius filled him with dread. He’d only be waiting for Sirius to realise that he could do way better than him, and consequently blaming Remus for wasting his time. Although Remus didn’t know much about dating, he did know that panic and dread aren’t what you’re supposed to feel when thinking about going out with someone, so Remus did the only thing he could do and rejected Sirius.
In the next two years, thanks to an amazing professor, Ms McGonagall, who saw the potential in Remus and helped him see that potential himself, talks with a psychologist, and the continued love and support of his friends, including Sirius, who wasn’t resentful and decided that if a friend was all he could be to Remus, he was going to be the best friend ever, Remus got better. Sure, he still has his insecurities and anxieties, but overall, he now knows he is a worthwhile person who has something to offer.
So no, Remus wouldn’t change what he did. He just wishes it hadn’t been necessary to do it. Especially when he thinks about Sirius’ eyes, or Sirius’ smile, or Sirius’ kindness, or, well, anything about Sirius really. When he sees everyone vying for Sirius’ attention, and he realizes that, under different circumstances, Sirius Black could’ve been his.
Because Remus knows by now that it had only been the timing that was wrong, not the person. He is, in fact, hopelessly in love with Sirius.
Sirius stiffens. “Dating me? You’ve never wanted to date me.”
“I’ve never been able to date you,” Remus corrects. “I wasn’t able to date anyone back then, wasn’t in any position to be dating, not with how insecure I was. I would’ve freaked out about everything, to the point where you would finally be fed up and leave, ruining our friendship in the process.”
Sirius opens his mouth to protest, but Remus continues.
“I don’t regret that I rejected you, I just regret that I was in a place where I had to reject you. But it was never about you, you know? I actually kinda really like you.”
Sirius just looks at him for a while, and then he says “You’re not the sharpest tool in the shed, aren’t you, Remus?”
“Excuse me?”
“Have you ever considered,” Sirius asks. “If you are ready to date and are interested in me, to just ask me out?”
Remus stares at him. “Assume you’d still want to date me? After I already rejected you? Wouldn’t that be a bit presumptuous?”
“If you would’ve come up to me and said ‘Okay, Sirius. Thank you for waiting. I took my time, and now I do want to date you, so let’s go’, then yes, I would’ve thought ‘Huh, that’s a bit presumptuous’,” Sirius says. “But if you said ‘Hey, I’m in a much better place than I used to be, and I know it’s been a while, but if you’re perhaps still interested, would you consider going out with me?’ that would’ve been fine! More than fine. That would’ve been pretty great, actually.”
Remus still stares at him.
“You’re regretting what you’ve lost, but you fail to see that the thing you think you’ve lost, is actually right here.” Sirius waves his arms. “Like literally right here!”
Remus continues to stare at him.
Sirius sighs. “I don’t think I can make it any more clear. Just think about it.” He turns and walks back into the pub.
Remus keeps staring at the door for a while, then he reaches a conclusion and marches inside.
Sirius is at the bar chatting to James. Remus walks up to them and taps Sirius on the shoulder. As Sirius turns around Remus immediately speaks. “Hey, I’m in a much better place than I used to be, and I know it’s been a while, but if you’re perhaps still interested, would you consider going out with me?”
“Fucking finally”, James mutters, while Sirius grins. “Why, Remus, what a wonderful suggestion! Come to think of it, I might still be interested, yeah.”
He then throws his arms around Remus, pulling him into a hug, and as he does so, he whispers in his ear “Always have been, always will be.”

I hc that Remus and Regulus became best friends in school because they'd both go to the library and each day they gradually sat closer and closer together until one day they were right next to each other but they never say anything to each other bc they enjoy the silence too much and that's why they become instant bffs.
(Yes this is in chapter 2 of my fic.) (I love them.) Come hang w us.

Give Me My Salvation (I'm Made for You)
Remus Lupin/Sirius Black
Explicit
College AU
“You don’t need to be a prick about it, you know.” He was looking through the window then, focusing on his anger and not Lupin’s handsome face.
“But you seem to like me very much when I’m one. It always gets you all flustered and pretty.” His voice was sweet, mocking and condescending. Sirius’ head snapped back, looking at Lupin with astonishment. The guy was mean, making fun of Sirius being pissed off. But he would be lying if he said that he didn’t find it hot. He wanted mean, he liked mean, especially when it came from a certain professor.
-
college au, where the love Remus and Sirius have for each other over-powers all of the consequences they could face for the forbidden romance.
My new story!
Hope you enjoy it!
