Man, I'm (Fei, final fused state) listening to the Loki Season 2 Part 2 Soundtrack and the line "Purpose is often more burden than glory" really sticks with me cause man 0 if there is anything to summarize the core locus that defines the "Riku Part" in relation to the rest of the system, the thing that makes the basis for every elaborate dynamic and role they have with the other parts, it would be best summarized as "Purpose and/or Passion". Everything about their role in the system boils down to them being the sole carrier and center of purpose and passion and that they are functionally there to provide that not only for themselves but the entire system - and ever since our childhood / original host situation got fucked up around age 7-10 they've been living that on full drive as a host / one of the hosts / one of the most frequent fronters since then.
And honestly, having to be responsible for giving, providing, and generating a sense of purpose for the system - a genuine "why" to keep going - when growing up being abused, being targetted for MC-related stuff from a snake of a sister that was our "only non-abusive older person in our life" who gave us up to predators and left us for daring to be hurt by that, being disabled and having multiple mental health issues, being otherwise a lone, and having almost every friendship we invested to end with no closure (moved without goodbyes) or turned abusive - was both an insane pressure and a mammoth of a task, especially when you consider that save for the first and last two years, they were the ONLY host and they lived through MOST of the last half of our childhood
They had to experience and endure the garbage of life as a teen and then the climb out and survival in college as the main person experiencing it, and still - despite it all - keep their head up and never waver in their purpose because if THEY lost sight of it, if they stopped believing in it, if they wavered, the system as a whole would collapse beneath them. And that sounds like a catastophization, but as a fused state of all our parts, I can say for certain that - especially during any point before we graduated college - if they ever did genuinely stay down for more too long, we would have imploded. Most other parts don't have any motivation to heal, recovery, or keep trying. Most don't have motivation to try to do better or even really live on their own. Some parts - even with Riku's radiating vision - barely managed to hold faith in them to not just off and kill themselves or go off and commit crimes that would end in a rather short life.
And thats what XIV - hell most of the parts that are otherwise headstrong, angry and closed off and/or smarter, wiser, and more capable than Riku on their own - respected the most out of them despite the fact that they're fucking idiots 95% of the time. Out of context, Riku is really nothing special - they're stupid, they've got shitty stamina and are completely whiny about any level of physical discomfort, they are the worlds largest hypocrites because they know whats right and struggle A LOT to actually do what they suggest, they are control freaks and particular as fuck and there are alters here that can do almost everything way better than they can and yet a lot of the time they are stubborn and even though they CAN easily switch with any of the other parts, they choose to make themselves suffer. In our trauma therapist's words that Riku agreed to - they are addicted to their own misery. (Which probably comes from the fact that they find it easier to find and see their purpose better when they are suffering than when they aren't suffering)
All in all, Riku out of context is a very mediocre and an average normal person (a generalist, which isn't bad, but as a stubborn control freak it is very frustrating from the specialist views) in relevance to the rest of the frequent fronters (a lot of us being a lot more specialists in that we have very specific extreme skills and huge deficiencies elsewhere), but within the context - Riku is beyond a specialist in their sheer resilience and ability to always see something worthwhile in the garbage of everything.
In a similar but very very different way than XIV, they never loose because they never see an end to the "why" and more than anything else, thats what really got us to our place in life. Thats why I am able to sit here and be me, a fused whole for the time being, writing the genuine insight to the host of 15 or so years that somehow always kept their head up and kept trudging through.
It's why Riku as a part is known in this system for being the part that no part can genuinely hate for long. There are so many reasons a lot of parts have to hate them, or be frustrated with them, or want to usurp their central role to the system, but in the end of the day - they really believe in the most for all parts of our system, in the world, and others. They see the most potential in others and look at the most dismal situations and "give up on it" situations and both internally as a part, internally as a system, and to those around them, really dedicate to wanting to see people reach where they belong. To them, those they come to know have a place to be, a great thing to become - maybe for the world, maybe for society, maybe for their close peers, maybe just for themselves - and they just really genuinely like to see all that potential grow and flourish against all preconsceived notions of what is possible.
It's not anything "special" for them, it's just their way of existence because its their extreme that they got from our childhood, our trauma, and our disorder. They see potential - a why - in almost everything and anyone they spend enough time with and they love to see that why be realized.
I dunno, I feel like Riku and XIV have spent time trying to pinpoint and explain the nature of Riku and how - despite being considerably average to the other parts in the system - Riku is by far the most respected and loved parts in our system. Perhaps its cause they're so average as well that they are the best.
You know, "Sometimes the best horse is the worst horse, and the worst horse is best horse, because the best horse learns too easily and misses the marrow of the practice where as the worst horse will fail and struggle and yet persevere to deeply understand the practice and when that worst horse learns the practice, he will have a much deeper, much more full understanding and appreciation of the practice" - the allegory(?) from Shunryu Suzuki that our system loves, I think best summarizes the nature of Riku.

Would A Wingull Be A Good Pet?
Tumblr media
Despite its C ranking, it’s pretty hard for me to recommend a wingull as a pet to anyone, unless they live in a very specific context.
Size-wise, sure, wingulls are just the right size! They’re tiny and lightweight, especially when they land and fold up their wings, looking a delightful combination of cute and silly. They don’t seem particularly unfriendly or aggressive either. Their move set doesn’t bring up any red flags when it comes to danger. They can even restore their own HP with moves like Roost or their Rain Dish ability, which allows them to heal when it rains. Truly, by all means, wingulls should be solid A rank pets.
Unfortunately, their habitat needs really throw a wrench in everything. You see, despite their distinctly avian look, wingulls aren’t very good at powered flight (Emerald) Wild wingulls take to the sky by spreading their wings and, without flapping them (Shield) catching the updraft of seaside winds (Ruby). Wingulls live a lot of their lives gliding on the breeze, be it when they’re hunting fish pokémon like wishiwashi (Ultra Moon), or collecting (and hiding) shiny valuables (Ruby). To accommodate this lifestyle, they make their homes on sheer coastal cliffs (Emerald). This natural lifestyle, unfortunately, is going to be pretty difficult to simulate in a domestic environment. Given that wingulls rely heavily on updrafts to fly about, they may have trouble getting around and finding food without them. If you live nearby where wingulls live naturally, or somewhere that is consistently windy, you may be able to upkeep a good quality of life for your pet, but otherwise it may be irresponsible to adopt one.
Wingulls are a rare case where the problem in their pet candidacy doesn’t come from any inherent danger to their biology or an absurd size: recreating their natural habitat is going to be too difficult for a vast majority of owners to do. They are a species that is probably best left to live in the wild or under the care of an experienced keeper.

Ideas for Full Project Voltage Teams
Tumblr media
I have put them in order from most canon content (from concept art) to just vibes on my end. All of it will be under the cut with trainer cards from this website.
Tumblr media
Miku has a bunch of Art with Pikachu (because of course), and a song with Pikachu. The rest of this team comes from concept art... I also have no idea why Mr. Rime is here...
Tumblr media
The first four pokemon all appear in the official and concept art. The other two pokemon I just picked are based on the vibes of this goopy poison tech lady.
Tumblr media
The first five Pokemon are from official and concept art and the Peliper I picked as it was in the Inubakumori video.
Tumblr media
The first three were in concept art and seemed useful for a desert traveling lady. The fossil she is holding in concept art looked the most like the claw fossil to me but it's a bit of a stretch. The last two are just vibes.
Tumblr media
In concept art fighting Miku has a full leek bird squad. Hitmontop I picked for it's break dancing vibes and the other two were just cool and green.
Tumblr media
Steel Miku is my personal favorite. Beldum was what I thought she would have honestly... this pokemon is a bell (which is musical) and it matches her hat. I gave her Hisuian!Goodra because she is very ancient Japan coded. That's also why I gave her Kingambit and Mawile, for their similar aesthetics. I considered Kartana or either form of Aamurott for her as well but I was hesitant to give "special" pokemon to Miku outside of the ones she has in the official art. I went with Togedemaru because of the type and it's appearance in the Inabakumori video.
Tumblr media
Primarina is canon and she is with a wishiwashi in the concept art. I chose other pokemon that felt related to diving or healing since she was shown with heal balls and potions in her design. Lanturn also featured in the Inabakumori video.
Tumblr media
I gave Miku all the dragon type pokemon we assume she'd have, a mega because fuck it I like megas (and Ampharos is in the Inabakumori video) and just some other little guys that fit the racer vibe she gives me. I know she's more like a knight with the sword but she also has the motorcycle pokemon.
Tumblr media
Misdrevious was in the art. Mimikyu was in the Inabakumori video. Litwick was in the concept art, Galarian!Yamask is the closest match to her spell tag sleeves, Porygon-Z isn't a ghost type but glitchy like her and finally the Oricorio is just here for vibes.
Tumblr media
This one I struggled with. It's purely vibes. I guess I could have given her a bruxish since she has a sticker of it but I was trying to avoid giving my Miku's pokemon that were referenced full sale in their outfits (You'll see this with Fairy Miku)
Tumblr media
Her clothing gave me some desert vibes so I picked pokemon that matched that at first. Houndoom is more just a cool pokemon to fit her rocker vibe and Raboot is basically wearing the same coat as her so I made the starter exception here.
Tumblr media
Speak of exceptions I wanted to avoid using the same specious of Pokemon but I struggled with Normal and Porygon 2 just... fits the vibe so well. Same logic for the others they are either music based of fit the vibe.
Tumblr media
She is spikey but also kind of techy? Yes the ice cream is a Kaito reference suck my dick-
Tumblr media
I will die on the hill that she should have given Miku Diance but whatever... Roggenrola is here cause it kind of looks like a speaker. The rest are just vibes.
Tumblr media
Just silly, cutesy little guys. I made the evolution line exception here as well because Kirlia literally has Miku hair! I had to include her!
Tumblr media
Bug is my favorite type but NOTHING fit the vibe. If you can't tell I went with Monsoon Vivilion cause the blue best matched her dress and it can be found in Japan. Vikavolt fit the electric theme she had going for her and made more sense than Galvantula or Joltik. The other three are honestly random picks that kind of made sense. Maybe you can say having a pokemon pair is a RinLen reference idk
Tumblr media
This is another vibe-based one. Most of these were pulled based on vibes 100%. All of the pokemon have similar colors or design motifs to the dark type Miku. Meowscarda is the exception because I really did run out of dark types that fit the vibe but I wanted a full team of 6 for each Miku.
Tumblr media
This is the last one. It's cheer/dance-based. I almost gave her Bellosom. but I wanted to incorporate the Plusle and Miniun from the Inakumori video and they fit the cheer theme best. Maractus fits the spikiness and dancing she has going on, Whimsicot also seems cheery and fluffy like a pom pom. Steene has the green pigtails again just like Miku.
If you see this let me know what you think :)

I’m slowly regretting this but here goes nothing!
Pokémon x one piece art time!
I was thinking about one piece and then suddenly the original Pokémon theme song started playing. It was a sign! I’ve already got the main crews matching Pokémon so I’ll show that!
Tumblr media
Now let me explain why I picked each Pokémon for each character/what they would do together
(ps the reason I put chopper in human form is because it would just be weird seeing a mini reindeer with a Pokémon. Same concept for brook as well. Wouldn’t really match the Pokémon world. Would also be turned jimbei human too to fit better)
Some are really obvious
Luffy-monferno
Literally a monkey
That’s all
Nami-jolteon(I know I spelt it wrong in the picture!)
Lightning
I would think she first pick them because they were cute
Cool concept would be that she charges jolteon with her weather staff for extra powered attacks
Zoro- doublade
Swords
That’s all
Usopp- meowscarada
Kinda basing it off the fact that usopps tells extravagant stories and knows his battles
I like the idea that they are more into doing performance than fighting
But when they fight they are cowards
When they are up against opponents that are weak against them they are confident
Sanji-raboot
Raboot is know for its speed and kicking strength
Also
FIRE
No further comments
Chopper-audino
Literally the healing Pokémon
They would never fight unless needed
When they do fight they are very much underestimated
Leading to them somehow winning
Robin-lapras
They got that robin smirk (kinda)
They are quite intelligent. They can understand human speech
More of a chill Pokémon for robin
They do got a giant version
Franky-frost Rotom
I picked this Rotom to pay homage to frankys stomach fridge
Also Rotoms are versatile
Anything franky needs they’re there for him
Brook- polteageist
Hard choice to make
Landing on this one because of the fact brook likes to drink tea
Probably would add the fact that the Pokémon likes to dance with brooks music
Jimbei-wishiwashi
Fish
I like the fact that he is sweet and cuddly towards small wishiwashi
But when he big you know it’s serious
Tell me what you guys think of these match ups. I wanna know if I should change any of them or if there are better matches for them

Working off my concept post, I decided I wanted to try my takes on the potential romance options.
Reese the pastry chef, he hails from Galar, where he studied in culinary school, and traveled to other regions to work at a variety of bakeries and learn from other chefs. He specializes in fairy pokemon, and runs Sylvie's Sweetshop. He's known to be very gentle and warm, likes to feed people, he doesn't care for battles (challenging him would be a loss of relationship points).
Pokemon
Sylveon, his starter pokemon who he named his shop after; she acts as a waitress
Slurpuff, acts as a waitress and checks on guests and what they may need
Milcery, assists Reese with baking
Jigglypuff, Reese doesn't own her, but she adopted him; likes to sneak into his shop and sing for his customers; it never goes well
Dr Inigo is the local doctor, hailing from Kalos, where he studied with a lot of Joys; in school he discovered his interest in studying toxins and creating remedies. He specializes in poison pokemon to make a variety of healing items. Dr Inigo is very much a workaholic, hardly ever seen outside his office, and hardly ever sleeps. It's left him to be more reclusive, quiet, and a little impatient in dealing with other people, often not having the energy to interact with others. Dr Indigo doesn't mind battling, if you're able to find him when he's off work (late at night). All of his pokemon assists in the development of healing items.
Pokemon
Croagunk, often knocks him out with a Poison Jab so he'll sleep
Roselia, has the purpose of helping calm down nervous patients with aromatherapy; she assists Croagunk in knocking Dr Indigo out to sleep
Scolipede, mostly acts as an ambulance, able to get Dr Indigo to a patient quickly, if ever needed
Crobat, mostly acts as a delivery pokemon, but has also acted as an ambulance, specially trained to carefully carry anyone seriously injured
Shole is a coral reef researcher that hails from Alola, and specializes in water pokemon. He actually used to be apart of Team Skull, which he'll admit is where he had the most fun of his life, and felt accepted. For this reason, he's not opposed to unorthodox means of handling things if the law doesn't work. Shole is known to be carefree, open minded, and a very much go with the flow sort of guy. Can always trust him to be direct, but encouraging. His biggest goal is helping Corsola thrive. He enjoys battling.
Pokemon
Wishiwashi (school), helps supervise the coral reefs, supposedly most of the Wishiwashi you'll find belong to him
Starmie, assists Shole with quick diving, combats against Mareani and Toxapex that may threaten the Corsola there

I'mm baaaack (can we normalize 3 days on, 1 week off work schedules; I am very tired. And while we're at it, free college. I want to eat more too)!!
I've been a fan of Dead by Daylight for quite some time. So unsurprisingly, I made a possible trainer card for my favorite survivor: Zarina Kassir. I chose to focus on dark type pokémon since they are unfairly and inaccurately considered "bad" in most media for their type and their typically intimidating looks. It's suitable for her own story in which she is keenly aware how she is seen as the "other" more often than not. So I connected her pokemon to her story, unique perks and origins.
That all said, it's time to enter the fog...
Mightyena is named after the hyena—an animal found in Lebanon. How precious would it be if she received a poochyena from her father? My heart melts at her having a strong bond—even investigating her father's death—with a Pokémon that was given to her by him when she was still a child.
Zoroark, like Zarina, knows how to maintain a disguise. A key part of her lore is that she would cover her Lebanese origins by changing her name, appearance and diet. While eventually embracing her Lebanese roots, her line of work could still require disguises. I imagine she knows from experience that disguises can be necessary for investigative work. Zoroark can help with that part of her work.
Absol with the ability "justified" won this spot*. Absols are misunderstood as harbingers of disaster, but really they seeks to protect people with their acute sensitivity to terrible happenings. Plus it has entries referring to mountains, such as the range Mount Lebanon where they could natively live.
Liepard for perk "Off the Record." It's a sneaky Pokémon so it gives off the same sleuth-like quality as the perk. And it keeps to a trend of dark types. There also is record of leopards in Lebanon at one point. If reading serves correct, they are referred to as Arabian leopards due to their geographical distribution. The more you know.
Wishiwashi for perk "Red Herring," where herrings are related to sardines (so generally small fish). Zarina is quite the activist. She would think that, like wishiwashi, more is achieved when together than alone. Bonus points that it looks so intimidating when schooling, much like dark type pokémon tend to.
Shaymin for the perk "for the people" (learns healing wish). Lebanon, like many places, is naturally home to many beautiful flowers. Notably the Madonna Lily, which is prominent in Lebanon and that I think would look quite lovely for a shaymin. I don't care if they are canonically mystical because it's a perfect pair: a beautiful flower in looks and a warrior at heart.
And it wouldn't be me without saying this: stay magical, friends~ ✨💖✨
~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~
*I will mention that there was a close tie between Lucario, Arcanine or Absol. All are 4-legged (I wanted to avoid too many humanoid qualities), plus all of them can have "justified" as an ability. Zarina seeks justice, so it's only fitting that she has a pokémon with an ability to match. An arcanine and a lucario were considered to give her team more type variety, while Absol was for type consistency. I ruled out Arcanine due to their association with officers in both the games and anime. Lucario was too humanoid—and I saw too much about lucario and zoroark that I never want in my mind again. So only one choice remained.

//Cedric doesnt have a real team aside from his Meowstic but he does have a few pokemon in his care
Mon Chat - Meowstic
Mon Chat has been Cèdric's partner since he was a teenager, having befriended the small cat as an Espurr. He only evolved once the duo had truly mastered their psychic abilities under Olympia's teachings. He is bonded to Sol.
Ability: Prankster
Moveset - Heal Bell, Light Screen, Reflect, Thunder Wave, Psychic, Helping Hand
Sol - Espeon
Sol joined Cèdric shortly after he began training under Olympia. Like her, Cedric focused on double battles as a gym trainer, able to have his pokemon work well in sync. While Sol was able to handle the virtually zero stakes gym battle format, she didnt take well to field work, the stress being too much for her. She stays out of the line of duty, taking on a more housecat role. She is bonded to Mon Chat.
Ability - Magic Bounce
Moveset - Morning Sun, Psychic, Swift, Calm Mind, Dazzling Gleam, Confuse Ray
Sample - Wishiwashi
Sample was a part of an enormous school of Wishiwashi that was being commanded by a shadow corrupted individual. By chance, the tiny fish was burdened by greater purpose when Cedric captured the little guy for his namesake. He himself wasnt corrupted, sorta proving it didnt spread like a contagion, and over the following days developed a conviction to make sure this didnt happen to anymore pokemon and to save others from the fate he was spared. He especially proved himself during Cedric's time in Alola
Ability - Schooling
Moveset - Endure, Tearful Look, Aqua Ring, Soak, Brine, and Hydro Pump
//In the tabletop game Cedric is from, our pokemon run 6 moves at a time. We kinda logic out that the 4 limit is mostly a battle regulatiom, but also maintaining more moves takes more training than most trainers can provide. Ill uldate this more as Cèdric's team evolves over time
. . . And yes there are cat and fish hijinks

all right, i've decided that what i've been trying to do regarding Switch games: isn't working. i can't alternate Splat 3 and Persona 5 daily, as, as i am wont to do, it leaves no time to work on Moon. i can schedule the games on my end fine enough, now that i realize it, so i think this'll cause a delay in starting posting Persona 5, for the sake of getting through Moon. this also probably'll delay shiny hunt 2024, but i'm willing to accept that.
as to the game! Lana's trial in Moon is set up pretty friendly like: you can pretty much get to the Totem 'mon, leave to heal, and come back to finish the trial. Wishiwashi at level 20. Saffron lead to paralyze, hope to para the 'mon that joins, spam Electro Ball and Night Shade, should be fine.
the totem aura is for defense, so planning for non-physical attacks is the right call, and missed paralyzing the partner 'Washi. but things went pretty much as i expected. i forgot about the Sitrus Berry, but the Totem Wishiwashi goes down without a huge issue!

Guys, is Wishiwashi worth it?
Base form is very very very weak, nothing special, won't make a lot of damage, won't last long
But in school form...
It is so freaking strong 😱
Atk and Def special and non-special from 130 to 140
It is even better than mythical pokemon or pseudo-legendaries (Dragonite, Tyranitar, Hydreigon etc)
Unless you have legendary pokemon in your team, it will be the best of the six
But if it takes too much damage and it's hp go under 25%, its ended
If this happens, the best things you can do are heal it or change pokemon
What do you think about Wishiwashi? Worth it?
In my opinion yes, but I want to hear other people's thoughts.
Imagine Wishiwashi on Pokemon GO 👀

Galarian Slowking
(With Joey's latest episode this just fits perfectly for him.)
Katherine
Liligant
(It just screams Katherine vibes honestly.)
Gardevoir
(in reference to her being the protector of the Overgrown.)
Galarian Rapidash
(It fits the whole empire's aethestic so well.)
Vileplume
Lurantis
(referencing the Katherine is a chaotic evil post because it is funny.)

Shubble
Breloom*
Shiinotic*

Lycanrock (Day)*

Altaria*

Aurorus

Alternative System Mind Mapping Method for Communication
[DISCLAIMER: This is not a professional or scientifically or anything really backed method, this is something coming solely from peer / personal experience.]
In regards to an anon ask earlier, I was thinking about it and one of the ways we've approached improving communication - particularly internal - in a way that is a lot less prone to flooding or dealing with trauma or anything too overwhelming - is by approaching it following the concept of Memory Webs
I haven't read up on them recently, but "Memory Webs" were a thing that our AP Psychology teacher in highschool made us do because the AP Psych test was term / jargon heavy. Memory in the human brain has been shown to be HEAVILY associative and the ability to remember and connect things tends to rely on following a "web" of connected topics, ideas, concepts etc from one idea to the next.
So in our AP Psych class, she gave us these GIANT books for Vocabulary Webs that we had to slowly work on, each of which required 6 other vocab words / related concepts, a summarized definition, and an image to represent it. By doing this, you added 6 cues to recall the word (increasing the chance you'd remember it), a visual cue, an episodic memory of working on it, and a definition - all in all improving how connected the word is to other concepts in your brain and making it easier to recall it.
I personally like to look at DID and our parts in a similar manner sometimes where the large issue is that a lot of the nodes in the web of associations are either disconnected or connected through a hard-to-find and/or small chain. In that sense, parts struggle to be held together because they are not associated concepts. It's hard to reach other parts because the dissociative walls (which in our unsubstantiated opinion is less a 'wall' and more so a lack of reinforced neural connections, so I would call them dissociative caverns) keep associations from forming
As a result, alternative to more traditional ways of mapping your system and parts, a method I've liked to internally visualize systems and navigating system dynamics is through a memory web manner. (I actually have never done it physically cause the Ray part of my brain - also the most prominent part writing this rn - rarely liked to front if he didn't have to and did a lot of stuff internally)
Here's a bit of a breakdown using six of our parts if any of you want to try it out.
We personally like it because it strips a lot of trauma and stress off of it and makes it a lot more of a positive and present engaging activity. For the purposes of this, I'll be using the free online app of Milanote cause we've used it before for OC associative webs and I think it'll do fine enough. (Honestly it actually might just be a good way to log alter information now that I'm looking at it if you are at a place in recovery where keeping track of that physically helpful)
So we can start by dropping down the parts we want to include in the form of boards
Tumblr media
So from here, we have a bunch of disconnected parts. However, we find that a lot of these parts have things that mean a lot to them, that illicit a strong emotion or reaction from them.
Some parts may lack it more than others (often in our case trauma holders and/or trauma locked parts) and that's okay and to be expected. This is a visualization method and if there isn't much connecting a part that is 100% okay.
For demonstration sake, I will now add bubbles around each part of things that were pretty early apparent that each individual liked.
Also for the purposes of how I know our system works and how I plan to do this, I am actually moving Riku to the center and you will all see why Riku is such an S tier center point with this model
Tumblr media
So you can see some connections forming.
Some key things you can take from this visual that also applied to earlier stags of how we connected
Lucille and Riku are and have always been pretty darn connected, they go back as one of the longest duos and were split almost as a pair to deal with academics
Chunn and Ray have a very shared interest of "I don't want to do anything leave me alone"
XIV literally was just a piece of shit early on and didn't have any immediate HARD connections with anyone largely because he never was interested in actually engaging in things he liked in a positive way as his "favorite emotion" at the time was "being pissed off"
Lin - an originally trauma stuck / loop - is very very poorly associated with anything that isn't overtly trauma related (and that is saying something cause Vocaloid is trauma related) and thus has very few connections to other parts
So looking at this though, there are a few things that have some similarities between parts. What you can do is make plans to try to foster the interests that you do have and try to generalize it a bit more to also encompass what interests other parts have. So lets engage in hobbies a little more - explore a few concepts that mean a lot to parts independently - and find some more generalized version of those hobbies
(forgot to add easy listening to Ray's and "only wearing monochrome*" to XIV's earlier) (*there are a lot of nuances and caveats)
Tumblr media
Damn, look at that. It's messy and ugly to have in a 2D form. I absolutely hate it, this would be so impossible with our whole system. But HEY, it's very connected - and that's the goal.
Compared to the previous one, you can see how easily it can be for one part's interests to start to drift into another. Because they are largely and strongly associated features to each part, they are a lot more accessible when engaging in their shared / associated connections and interests which makes it easier for the them to stay together near the front, stay associated with one another, and work with and communicate with one another.
Of course anyone following this blog goes "Where tf is Birds" and that I left out because it would ruin the point of the web as it actually is one of our traditional "you are around the system a lot? okay pick a bird" which serves to 1) be a fun system culture thing 2) be a means of welcoming a part in and 3) helps establish a foundational connection; we do the same with music but with music its a lot more elaborate and I probably wont explain it for other reasons.
But overtime, by fostering interests that were already present and encouraging parts to broaden and generalize their specific interest a bit, you end up with a lot of overlapping associations that can greatly improve internal communication, co-fronting ability, and just general fluidity and easy of moving around the brain web.
It becomes a good way of trying to figure out what you can do to encourage and help build connections and associations between parts by seeing where things are similar / could have more overlap (combat and martial arts, different types of fashion, different types of music, different appreciation for arts, taking over the world, yada yada yada)
And you wanna know the coolest thing? When you step back from the whole web you can see certain things appear that stand out the most and have some of the most connections.
If you ever intend to go to Final Fusion, those are the things that will likely be the most prominent traits of your whole self
For us? [REDACTED BIRDS for the point of the demonstration], Music, Fashion, Taking over the World, Recovery and Healing, Buddhism, Martial Arts, Arts in general - they're all some of our largest traits that persist in almost all forms as individual parts, partially fused parts, and fully fused parts.
And the BEST part? Doing this didn't require us to touch trauma at all.
Of course in recovery that will come up cause PTSD doesn't ask permission, but its a very low stress way to help improve internal communication and engagement with one another.

hi nerds, a very original obey me pokemon au dropped talk to us about it
the greyed out pokemon are the ones they don’t use in official battles (since they have a maximum)
our thoughts / a text version will be, as usual, under the cut! disclaimer: it’s going to be long
belphegor
1st gym leader - dark type official team: poochyena, nickit additional pokemon: absol, zorua, sableye, vullaby notes: it... it just makes sense, we think
beelzebub
2nd gym leader - bug type official team: combee, heracross additional pokemon: grubbin, spewpa, sewaddle, cutiefly notes: we knew we had to make him a bug type leader, but we wanted to have fighting somewhere, so heracross is our compromise there.
asmodeus
3rd gym leader - fairy type official team: sylveon, floette, aromatisse additional pokemon: togekiss, alcreme, comfey notes: don’t ask him how long it took him to get his alcreme, he’ll go on for hours about it.
satan
4th gym leader - “normal” type official team: glameow, persian, vileplume additional pokemon: delcatty, porygon, castform notes: the idea here is that he tries to sell himself off as being an “easy” gym, and then hits you with the grass/poison at the end to hopefully stop newer trainers from defeating his gym.
leviathan
5th gym leader - water type official team: seaking, milotic, clawitzer, wishiwashi additional pokemon: octillery, huntail notes: we just think him using wishiwashi is neat, don’t ask any other questions /j shout out to @lettheratsin for thinking of milotic, because we absolutely would not have <3 <3
mammon
6th gym leader - steel type official team: klefki, klang, skarmory, aggron additional pokemon: aegislash, bronzong notes: the idea is, of course, “shinyyyyyy.” but he starts with more unassuming pokemon before anything that could pack more of a punch because he doesn’t really take it seriously until he’s actually in danger, and then he kicks trainers’ asses.
lucifer
7th gym leader - psychic type official team: hypno, xatu, gallade, alakazam additional pokemon: gothitelee, reuniclus notes: while picking his team, all we thought was “which of these pokemon would be the most likely to gaslight us.” obviously, gallade would but gardevoir would not /j
lilith
8th gym leader - ghost type official team: banette, mismagius, gourgeist, chandelure, trevenant additional pokemon: polteageist notes: c’:
barbatos
elite four member #1 - ice/psychic type official team: mr. rime, jynx, cryogonal, galar  darmanitan, galar ninetails additional pokemon: vanilluxe notes: this is mostly just for the aesthetic. he slightly parallels michael.
raphael
elite four member #2 - dragon type official team: garchomp, haxorus, salamence, kommo-o, altaria additional pokemon: druddigon notes: we don’t like dragons, please don’t talk about them with us in any sort of detail /srs
michael
elite four member #3 - fire type official team: talonflame, centiskorch, turtonator, darmanitan, blacephalon additional pokemon: ninetails notes: "in the likeness of a column of fire"
diavolo
elite four member #4 - rock/ground type official team: onix, coalossal, golurk, archeops, rhydon additional pokemon: claydol
solomon
rival / champion official team: delphox, spiritomb, carracosta, roserade, crabominable, corviknight notes: delphox is his starter and closest friend, he builds his team around her.
simeon
rival / pokemon breeder official team: lopunny, minior, vivillon, jellicent, marowak, salazzle notes: with being a breeder, a lot of his pokemon are shiny. he worries very little about battles, just appreciating the time he gets to spend with other trainers when he does.
luke
rival / nurse official team: lillipup, blissey, eevee, igglybuff, azurill, deerling notes: as we mentioned, he’s the rival that isn’t really a rival. he trails behind the protagonist asking if he can heal their pokemon for them. is eevee is a gift from simeon, and therefore shiny (it was an extra shiny he got while breeding them)

Updates on Xenoverse playthough because I haven’t said much:
I have all 8 badges and I’m about to head into space with a millenial professor, a Sasuke android, and some girl who has a crush on me.
Possibly my favorite fakemon in the game is Chubiburny->Goombear, fairy/fire sun bears that are also roasted marshmallows on sticks. I believe that’s the only flex of zoological knowledge in the game, but I’m not going to harp on it. I’m hoping I find good TMs soon because this thing already passed level 60 and I’ve only seen like 2 good moves.
I’m also a fan of Blingrimm->Blingrudge, steel/poison gremlins.
Chimaooze is like a sewer rat version of Wishiwashi and I just added one to my party. I’m a bit overleveled so adding fresh blood keeps things sporting.
They put a lot of effort into gym puzzles. There were a few legitimately difficult and time-consuming sections. This is definitely not a game you’re able to just steamroll through quickly.
There’s a couple differences in the quality of life compared to the real games. Electric types can be paralyzed again, rare candies don’t revive a fainted pokemon, fishing is turned into a tedious minigame, and you’re expected to find your own way out of a maze once the sidequest is over. There are PCs in random places that cost money per use, and one of the major cities has one next to a nurse instead of a pokemon center. In fact, the spot I’m at right now gives you a chance to prepare yourself for the next stage of the plot...but there’s nowhere to heal or access the PC, you can’t fly to or from there, and it’s at the end of a maze.
It’s an Italian game so the English isn’t perfect, but I can tell what they meant when there’s a mistake. There’s also mild profanity which I was not expecting.
There’s a few...uh...dodgy creative decisions concerning NPCs of color. And not just here and there, but large, prominent parts of the game. Wild West town where everyone speaks Spanglish for the aesthetic. Native Americans who compete for land with cowboys, live in teepees on a reservation, and have a Magical Connection to The Creator. A jungle town inhabited by self-proclaimed ‘savage natives’ who hate both technology and outsiders and they have a witch doctor instead of a pokemon center. A black gym leader who is a gangsta rapper living in a heavily-graffitied city and he calls himself "the king of the jungle” while everyone else calls him “daddy”. The devs were called out for this on Twitter and they threw a temper tantrum.

What is your ocs pokemon team!
Oooo this is always a fun question! (Sorry if this is long I want to try to do multiple characters!)
I did this once for Rhynn and my answer at the time was: “flygon, noivern, silvally, audino, wishiwashi, and a helioptile as her pikachu-like partner buddy” but I think I’d like to update it.
Heliolisk would be her buddy pokemon! Sunshine desert pokemon for the Sunbringer
Wishiwashi cause they’re cute and make me think of creature tokens.
Silvally because of biomancy (I could see her rescuing one more than creating one, although she does biomance creatures in mtg lore)
Noivern cause it’s the closest thing we’ve got to a drake in pokemon I think.
Maractus I think because again, raised in a desert but also the nutritious seeds sounds like Rhynn who likes to keep healthy trail snacks on her when she travels. This replaces audino who I originally just had there because of healing, but I think a grass type that keeps nutrient-rich food with them counts for that.
The last one is hard but I’m leaning towards either flapple or pidove.
The others will be harder because I’ve only thought of buddy pokemon for the others.
Helis
Torchic is his buddy pokemon! His wonderful little phoenix
Houndoom
Talonflame
Purrloin
Toss-up between morelull and Appletun
Shiny trevenant (much to Elrick’s chagrin)
Elrick
Trevenant is his buddy! (To Helis’ delight)
Carnivine
Shiny roserade
Dhelmise
Dragalge
Last one is tough but I’m leaning towards umbreon
Tali
Malamar is her buddy
Zoroark
Runerigus
Starmie
Toxicroak
Beheeyem
Myree (bonus since she was never a walker, also she only gets 3 for now cause she’s a kid)
Buddy is chinchou!
Rotom
Skrelp

I wanted to make something for @lulzyrobot‘s awesome dynamorph au, but I can’t draw, so I decided to write some of the transformation parts that were described in the masterpost.
A bit of a gore warning! Growing new limbs can be a bit bloody!
“Here you are, sir.”
Leon thanked the secretary who had led him to his new office and sent her back to her desk. He pushed open the door and examined his new space. The first word he thought of to describe it was “expensive.”
Three black walls rising from red carpet, a large desk at the center, bare except for a slim computer and keyboard as well as some fancy pens. Behind all of that were huge windows overlooking the city on the bright, sunny day outside. Small clouds drifted lazily overhead as most enjoyed their day after the chaos the previous one brought.
Leon closed the door behind him and stepped towards the windows and reached for the blinds. He shut all the light that didn’t seep through out, not even turning the electric lights on. He sat down in the large chair and leaned back, breathing out a sigh, finally letting his smile drop.
He took his phone out of his pocket and started scrolling through photos. He looked at old pictures, new, and everything in between. There were pictures of his matches with Raihan, his first day setting off on his journey, Hop with his Wooloo and Dubwool, as well as past and the recent Champion Cups. In each and every one were images of his first, forever, and now gone, partner.
He didn’t realize he’d started crying until the first tear fell down his face. Quickly, the ex-champion rubbed the tears off his face and took a breathe.
“I’ve got a company to run,” Leon muttered to himself. “I can’t waste time crying.”
It’s not a waste of time, he thought in response. It’s important to be allowed to grieve. He did research on grief when the family pet Wishiwashi died and Hop was especially affected.
Speaking of his brother, Leon was worried about him. Whenever he was upset, he wanted to be alone, and after the loss of something dear to him, he would avoid everyone for a few days before seeking comfort. After losing Dubwool, he’d been so distraught. Leon’ll call him in a little while. He also wanted to be alone for a while as well.
He set his phone down and laid his head on the desk. It was cold compared to how warm his face felt. Probably extra warm from the crying, he thought. Speaking of, his entire body had been unnaturally hot for a while. He’d just gotten back from a suit-fitting and all the example coats had felt incredibly warm. He was glad to still be able to wear his old uniform until he got something better for the head of the new Battle Tower. Perhaps I should see a doctor; this could have something to do with last night.
He let out another sigh into his arms, something making his lungs feel extra heavy.
When he inhaled again through his nose, the first thing he noticed was the smell of smoke. It only caused him to panic more when he realized the smoke was coming from his mouth.
A sudden burst of pain jerked him from his seat. He caught himself on his desk and shakily used it to support himself. The stab in his fingers almost caused him to drop, barely catching himself by his elbows.
Leon stared at his fingers, watching as something sharp and red with blood started to split the skin. Horrifyingly familiar orange scales crawled out from under the crimson and up his arms.
Choking back a scream, he raked his new claws across the desk in an attempt to stay upright as his vertebrae exploded in pain. His shorts tore open as a huge tail grew from his tailbone, the tip cloaked in flames, and he clawed at the collar of is jersey as his neck gave off a multitude of pops, stretching and growing scales.
He struggled to get to his feet, feeling pressure building in his back. He managed two steps before his skin and shirt shredded, making way for two orange and teal wings. This time, he did scream as skin and scales healed around the new appendages.
He heard more tearing and looked to see his shoes being torn apart from the inside as claws pushed through the fabric. His legs were rapidly changing, tearing his pants to shreds.
Pain worse than any migraine he’d ever felt hit his head, causing his new tail to thrash in agony. It slid across the desk, leaving scorch marks and knocking the computer and pens across the office.
He was clutching his head, two orange horns growing from between his claws, when the door swung open the the face of a horrified employee. Leon looked at them and said the only thing he could think of.
“Call Sonia,” his raspy voice shouted, smoke billowing from his throat. The poor staff member backed up in fright at the noise, but quickly understood and rushed off.
The changes had slowed down, almost to a total halt, when his phone, which was somehow still on the desk, gave a familiar ringtone. He scrambled to pick it up, careful of his claws, and used the side of his hand to answer.
“Leon!” Hop’s panicked voice came over the speaker. “I don’t know what’s happening; I was just- I went out alone- I needed space- but now- now-” His breathing was too quick and he sounded in pain.
“Hop, where are you?” Leon asked frantically. He may have been terrible with directions, but he was smart enough to figure out what was probably going on.
“I went into the Slumbering Weald to be alone, but-” He was cut off by a scream of sudden agony followed by the call disconnecting.
Leon’s senses went into overdrive. He knew that more staff were on their way, presumably to help him, but they would keep him from getting to his little brother. Even if he managed to slip past them, it wasn’t like he could take the train as a weird half-Pokémon covered in blood. But then how could he...?
Before he could even process what he was doing, he was crashing through the window, burning the blinds that tried to tangle him to ash, his new wings beating as fast as they could to carry him home.

I’m playing through Pokémon Sun, and I got to the Totem Wishiwashi fight. My entire team (Brionne, Pikachu, Grimer, Cutiefly, Diglett) was Level 18-19 (Exp. Share turned off), so I knew it wasn’t going to be the easiest Totem battle I’d ever done.
Starting off, my Pikachu, who I was hoping could do some good damage, got two-shot and barely did 1/3 of the Totem’s health. bad start. Then I brought in my Brionne, Taylor.
Now, I started out by using him as a bit of a stall as I thought about what to do next. the ally Wishiwashi was still out, meaning I didn’t have to worry about Alomamola healing the totem. baby Wishiwashi was on pretty low health because I figured that out a bit late, but it wasn’t an issue, as long as I kept it alive. but then I accidentally used Disarming Voice, which hits both enemies in a double battle, and knocked it out.
except, Taylor leveled up. To 19. And wanted to learn Encore.
Now, something I had noticed was the Totem didn’t really want to attack me, probably because, you know, water type, Water Gun’s not very effective. I used Acrobatics first turn because 110 base power with no item, even going off his weaker attack stat, but it was spamming Growl so that wasn’t going to work for more than the first turn or two. but at that point I realized: it was spamming Growl. and I outsped it.
needless to say, I Encore stalled the Totem for long enough that it was one attack away from being out of Schooling by the time I forgot to use it. and the Alomamola just kept attacking with Double Slap and supporting with Helping Hand instead of healing the Wishiwashi. literally the only way it could’ve gone better was if I had Encored the Alomamola into Helping Hand on the Growling Wishiwashi.
tl;dr my Brionne took out two Pokémon he really shouldn’t have because of the most perfectly-timed level up I’ve ever gotten in a Pokémon game.
