pov: you find out about your boyfriend, seth and his friends being able to shift into wolves

"You don't have to do this if you don't want to, you know?" Seth asked for the milionth time.

"I do want to meet your friends, seth, I know how important they are to you" I reassured him with a smile.

We were now walking through the reservation, heading towards emily and sam uley's house, where seth's friends often hung out. We had been talking about this for a while and I figured that I would have met them sometime anyway, since Seth and I had been dating for a few months.

As soon as we reached the house, a few dark haired, shirtless and tan boys ran out, their faces radiating with excitment.

"So you're the lucky girl, huh?" one of them looked me up and down.

"Seth seems to be luckier, Jared. I'm Paul Lahote" another smirked as he held out his hand.

I took it nervously and said: "Y/N Y/L/N"

They each then shook my hand and greeted me.

"Embry Call. Nice to finally meet you, Y/N."

"Seth talks about you all the time, trust me. I'm Quil"

Seth lightly punched his shoulder and the boys laughed.

And so on. After introducing themselves, they sprinted back into the house as someone called for them. Seth and I stayed behind and he softly squeezed my hand, before saying:

"Seems to be going good"

"They all seem like great friends" I smiled at him.

"They are" he smiled back. "But if you ever bring this up, I'll deny it"

We both laughed and he turned to me as we reached the doorway and placed a soft kiss on my lips.

The boys sat at the table made puking sounds and jokingly covered their eyes with their hands.

Seth and I laughed it off, right before a woman scolded them.

I hadn't even noticed her; after she turned around, she came up to us and hugged me, then introduced herself as Emily Young.

"You're Sam's wife, ri-"

"His imprint" Paul cut me off.

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion as the boys all snapped at him, Jared's elbow hitting Paul's side, perhaps a bit harder than he meant.

In response to Jared, Paul got up, his chair falling to the ground, and pushed Jared a few meters back. They were yelling at each other as the other boys were quick to drag them out of the house, both of their bodies shaking violently.

"Stay here with Emily" Seth whispered, then ran towards them.

She and I got out on the porch, incapable of interfering.

Jacob was holding Paul back by his arm, while Quil and Jared were trying to calm Jared down, the other boys standing in between them.

"Cool off guys, Sam's about to get here" Emily shouted.

It was no use; swiftly, Paul freed himswlf from Jacob's grip and shockingly enough, his body contorsioned into the one of a huge, ash-gray wolf. Jared was quick to jump back at him, only he had transformed as well. Paul sank his teeth somewhere around the other guy's shoulder, who howled in pain before striking back.

When I was finally able to look away from the fight, my eyes searched for my boyfriend, with fear. He was nowhere to be seen; instead, in the place he last stood was now a wolf, who was a bit shorter than the rest, eyes looking into mine.

"Seth" I whispered.

I was frightened; not really of the huge wolves, though, but rather for Seth, praying he wouldn't get hurt.

I was pulled out of my train of thought by the shouting of another man, who was fastly approaching them. His head turned to me for a moment, before his clothes all fell onto the ground, shredded, as the greatest of wolves stood next to the fighting boys. He was visibly taller with black fur, his chest pressing forward as he held his head high; "must be their leader" I thought to myself.

Suddenly, the wolves all backed up, Paul and Jared's bowing in front of Sam. After a few moments in which all looked the great wolf in the eyes, they scattered running into the forest, nowhere to be seen.

Emily grabbed my arm softly and urged me inside.

"Come on, they'll be here soon"

"Are they going to be okay?" I asked quickly, much worried for them all, tears forming in my eyes.

She looked at me and sighed, stroking my hair.

"Yes, they'll be okay, sweetheart. This happens pretty much on a daily basis around here"

I gulped, with shock.

"So this... this huge wolf thing is common around here?"

She laughed and nodded.

"They'll explain everything to you when they get here"

As soon as she said that, the tan boys came back into the house, all laughing and joking around, Paul and Jared included. All except for Seth and Sam, who stayed behind, talking in a very serious demeanor. As they reached the house, Seth stopped into the doorway while Sam came uo to Emily and kissed her tenderly. Then, he turned to me and said:

"Seth wishes to talk to you, kid."

I nervously walked outside, meeting his anxious gaze.

We sat in silence for a few moments before I bursted out loud:

"Oh Seth, are you all alright?"

I checked his arms and chest and back, searching for any sign of harm, yet he was spotless.

"Yeah, I'm fine" he laughed, still tense.

I exhaled, relieved and hugged him tight.

"Are... are you not absolutely terrified by me? Do you not want to never talk to me again?"

I giggled against his warm shoulder.

"No, of course I'm not scared of you. I mean, was I completely taken aback when all you guys turned into huge wolves? Yeah, sure. But scared of you? No, never." I shook my head as I voiced the last words.

"I love you" he said, finally relaxed.

"I love you too"

there was not much one could wear at the reservation. half of the people ran around like it was august all year long, but not Olivia. she put on a pair of socks, a pair of fluffy socks and her boots. her thick coat almost hid her completely as she stepped down her porch. mutt was making a squeaking sound under her shoes, the brown liquid spraying against her jeans, as she walked to her jeep. the tiny yellow car being her only way into town.

she wanted to get a book, nothing else.

she did not expect to be thrown to the ground by the most fragile force that could have ever run into her. she looked up into brown eyes. the girl's hand being stuffed in thick gloves reached out to her. "g-god I'm so sorry. I really didn't mean to." Olivia nodded. her bum was wet and her hands were red and itchy from the ground, but she forced a light smile. "It's alright. don't worry. could have happened to me too." she tried stepping around the brunette and into the store, stuffing her hands back into her coat. the girl stepped aside, smiling uncomfortably and left a second later.

"bella!", she had heard a familiar voice call, but didn't bother turning around and taking a look. she wasn't bella and she had hurt herself enough already.

the rain fell harshly against the windows of the bookstore, then the window of her car, and the windows of her bedroom. it had been raining for a few days now, which annoyed her just a little bit. spending hours in her bed reading and watching movies was something she loved. but she hated going to school during the rain, because when she went in and when she stepped out, she would get wet, and being wet was something entirely different than watching the rain through her window.

a knock on her door made her look up from her novel. she smiled when she saw the brown hair of her brother, but rolled her eyes when she saw the second one. paul grinned. he was content in her room. it smelled of lavender and honey and her. "what do you want?", she asked and sat up slightly. seth let himself fall on her bed, while the older boy sat down in her chair. he inhaled the air carefully. honey, lavender and something he really, really did not like. he threw a nasty look at her coat, which was hanging around the wooden chair.

"we wanted to know if you would like to eat at sams today. emily asked about you, you know", paul told her, while watching her intently. she had not been at sams for a few years now. not since he had broken up with her sister. she liked emily, she loved her, she was her cousin, but that did not change the sour taste in her mouth whenever they talked about her. "Not today. tell her thanks tho please.", she smiled slightly, looking down at her book again.

paul exhaled a loud breath. he had already expected her answer. "you know, she and leah talked. they're on good terms now.", he told her, while seth threw her and annoyed look. she shook her head. she had to talk to leah first, after that she could decide if she would allow herself back there.

"okay. bye olli.", he called, as he jumped from her chair and jogged out of her room with her brother hot on his heels. she shook her head. she had just as much energy as they had in their little toes.

......................

the day went by slow, even slower than usual. the tv had the nerve to stop working and olivia's mother was starting to get annoyed with everything around her. her job, her house, the dishes, the tv and her children. Olli didn't really blame herself, she had spent the whole day in her room, and was sure that she could not have possibly annoyed anyone.

Oh how wrong she was. her sister could get annoyed by anything. anything. and she truly loved her younger sister, but the fact that Sam and her whole pack had confronted her about her sister's absence, and asked her to talk to her, definitely ruined her mood. she felt like it was her fault that they had to miss her, pulling Olivia on her side after the breakup and away from emily. not like she was that close to anybody in the pack except her cousin. when Olli thought about them, she could only remember a few faces, a few names here and there, but she didn't miss anybody.

so when Leah stormed straight towards her the second she came home, she didn't really see the problem. yes, Leah was probably right. she should come to see Emily the next time she had the chance, but when she heard that everybody had been missing her, she got confused. "everybody? Sam?", Leah nodded her head. "Yeah, Sam. Paul's also a pain in my ass." Olivia rolled her eyes at that. "yeah I will come. Alright?"

she didn't feel excited about visiting them. not at all.

she didn't even know who them really were. she knew that her siblings and a few other teens hung around them a lot, she didn't understand why. she knew that seth never brought anybody home except Paul, and her sister was always careful with throwing names around, but she ignored it, trying to be happy for her siblings after all they had been through. she just wished she could be a little bit more like them.

Summary: Being Seth’s best friend was never a dull moment, always there to cheer y/n up until one day he suddenly stops talking to her and she’s left confused and hurt

“Hey Seth are you still coming over today?” I asked over the phone feeling all warm inside just talking to him

“Of course wouldn’t miss it for the world!” We exchanged goodbyes and I just waited for him to come over

Ever since Seth and I became friends when we were kids, around 6, every Friday we would have a movie night and never once did we miss one

I heard a knock on my door and there he was, smiling like usual, his long hair blowing in the wind as if he was a model

“Well are you going to let me in or just stare at me” he laughed as he pushed by gently and threw himself down on the couch

I blushed and closed the door going to sit next to him

“So what are we going to watch tonight?” He asked as he threw a blanket over the both of us and pulled me to lay down against his chest, it was normal for us but probably looked different from the outside

“Its up to you! I’m fine with anything” I said as I handed him the remote and snuggled into the blanket

Moments like these were what I held onto, I’ll never know when he finds the one and then I won’t have this anymore, so Friday night were what I waited for every week

He turned on an old 80s movie and we laid in silence snacking on gummies and watching

“How’s everything been?” He asked as he combed his fingers through my hair

“Tough, I’ve barely gotten any sleep lately”

“She still screaming at night?” He asked

“Every night since he left”

Bella was my sister and ever since her boyfriend, Edward, left she’s been miserable, I’ve tried everything to cheer her up but it doesn’t seem to work, me and dad don’t know what to do with her, maybe if I was closer to her maybe I’d know how to help but, we haven’t lived together for years until she came back a year ago, we just have to wait until she comes to terms with everything

“Maybe you could come have a sleepover at my place, get some rest” he hummed

“Id love that but you know how Leah feels about me ever since bella returned” I sighed

Me and Leah use to be friends but then bella came back and she turned to glaring at me, leaving the room every time I’d enter and I never knew why

“She’ll get better I hope, I’ll get sleep eventually, maybe I’ll camp out outside” I laughed feeling sleep slowly creep up on my from the warmth he was creating

“Get some sleep now” he hummed again lulling me to sleep

I woke up to the sun in my eyes but I noticed the absence of the warmth that I loved, I opened my eyes and he was gone it was just me on the couch wrapped snuggly in the blanket

I got up with the blanket draped over my shoulders, I walked to the kitchen and dialed the Clearwater residence

“Hello!” I heard that sweet voice of Seth’s mom

“Hi Mrs.Clearwater it’s y/n I was wondering if Seth was there? He left last night without waking me and I wanted to make sure he made it home safe”

“Oh ya, he came back late last night, he said he wasn’t feeling well and he’s come down with a fever”

“Oh no, tell him to call me when he feels better, could I come over and bring him soup?”

“Its probably best if you stay away for a while, don’t want you coming down with this either, but I’ll tell him you called dear” and with that she hung up which was not like her at all

I called back everyday for a week and it was the same answer for the first few days, that he was just sick but after the first few days they stopped answering and it was worrying me, Sue, Harry or Seth never treated me like this and it hurt to be completely honest

I didn’t have many friends at school and since Seth was my best friend and went to a different school down at la push, it kinda sucked being in this position

“Hey sweetie you okay?” I turned on the couch to see dad at the door coming back from working

“Oh I’m alright, ummm have you talked to Sue or Harry lately?” I asked

“Ya Harry is coming by later why what’s up?”

“Have they said anything about Seth?”

“Harry mentioned he was under the weather, did something happened between you guys?” He asked sitting in his lounge chair

“I don’t know, we had our movie night last week and I fell asleep but when I woke up he was gone and hasn’t called since and you know he doesn’t do that and tonight is our movie night again and…and I’m just worried, what if maybe I did something to upset him” I asked as my voice waivered

“Hey don’t stress I’m sure it’s nothing, maybe you should go out, clear your head for tonight”

“Maybe you’re right” I sighed as I got up grabbed my headphones, jacket and shoes and head out to the forest paths behind the house

I kept walking through the woods until I reached the cliffs where I knew some guys would recreationally jump

I sat down near the edge feeling the cool wind blow against my skin calming me down, still listening to the music Seth showed me

I stayed like that for a while until the sky turned orange and purple as the sun set

I stood up to leave but when I turned around I was met with glowing eyes
