Summary: All will bow before the Queen...

A/N: Idk what exactly this is, I just like the idea of our Sasha being King (and I’m hyped for S2) 😂

The Lantsovs had been dead for only three days, and while the new King sat the throne, the old King’s court remained.  And they were not happy.  Their King was dead, and a heretic had claimed his crown; the woman he had made his Queen nearly as horrific.  Of course, not every member of the old King’s court hated Grisha and thought they were cursed by the Saints, but many of them did.

But their opinions did not matter.  Aleksander was King, and you were Queen.  Soon, you would have your own court, made up of your trusted Grisha and smartest advisors.  Even so, your husband couldn’t execute Pytor’s entire inner circle, not if he wanted a chance of winning over those who opposed him, but they would respect their new monarchs.  The old King’s court either feared or respected the new tsar enough that when the summons arrived, none of them ignored it.

Aleksander had arranged for your maids to dress you in the finest silk gown, the rarest gems, the most ornate crown from the dead Queen’s collection.  It was slightly unsettling to wear a dead woman’s tiara, but your Sasha had reassured you that soon, he would have an entire set of crowns, tiaras, and diadems commissioned for you.  But for now, for your first appearance as Ravka’s new tsaritsa, it would do.

You stood before the closed doors to the throne room, hands folded before you.  Your husband was at your side, adjusting the crown atop his own head.  “Everything will be fine, my love,” Aleksander said, taking your hand and kissing it.  “They will respect you…or they will suffer.”  Ivan and Fedyor, who had been appointed Aleksander’s head guards, opened the doors to the throne room, and your husband took your arm.

You kept your gaze focused on the thrones at the head of the room, what Aleksander had fought so hard for, fought to give you.  When you reached the dais, your husband allowed you to step up first before coming to your side.  “These past few days have been…busy, shall we say?” the tsar began, chuckling to himself while the dead King’s court looked on, some with anger in their eyes.  “So I regret that I have been unable to introduce my darling wife to you all until now.”

Some of the court began murmuring amongst themselves, but Aleksander pushed on.  “There has been neither time nor resources for a coronation, one that my beloved wife deserves, but nevertheless; I present to you, your tsaritsa, Queen Y/N Morozova.”  Whispers and murmurs broke out at once, and you fought to keep your face calm and neutral.  But that failed when one of the courtiers screamed, “Burn the witch!”

Aleksander was eerily calm when he next spoke.  “I fear there may have been a miscommunication.  You will bow before your Queen…” Your husband raised a hand and shadows slithered from every corner of the room, seeking out the woman who had insulted you.  With a flick of his wrist, the offending woman’s head was severed from her neck.  “Or you will die.”

Like a wave, the old King’s court fell to their knees, whispers of “moya tsaritsa,” filling the air.  Aleksander smiled, taking your hand and kissing it as he gestured for you to sit.  “Now, does anyone else have anything to say about our new Queen?”  Shakily, a man rose to his feet, and Aleksander leaned forward.  “Moi tsar,” he said, voice trembling.  “I never favored the old King’s ways, especially his stance on Grisha.  I admit, I do not know much of your people, but I know that your wife is kind.  She is merciful, and I will bow to anyone who can promise to fight for Ravka, to truly fight for Ravka.”

You pulled yourself upright, willing your hands not to shake.  “I will,” you said.  “I may be new in the crown, but I will lay down my life for my nation.  I will ride into battle alongside my soldiers if it is asked of me.  I vow to all of you that I will never sit idly by and watch my people suffer like the old King had.”  Aleksander felt pride swell in his heart at your words, and he felt the mood in the room shift.  The man standing bowed his head, placing a hand over his heart.  “Then long live the Queen.”

My preference headcanons for every MLB character! (🌈 Happy Pride Month 🌈)

Note: These are MY personal preference headcanons for the characters. Take it with a grain of salt. Our opinions are allowed to differ, but please respect mine and I’ll respect yours.

Marinette: Bi, Female Leaning. I see her going both ways, but the reason why I see her female leaning is:

It seems that she’s more comfortable with girls than boys (I know that doesn’t necessarily mean that she’s attracted to girls, but eh. Still like the idea).

Her crush on Adrien seems comphet to me (yes, that can happen to Bi people too).

She can be that “preppy queer” archetype.

Adrien: Pan. I was THIS close to making Adrien Bi (female leaning), but I settled with him being Pan. Why? For the sole reason that I see Chat Noir as Pan (and Adrien IS Chat Noir lol). It makes sense 😄 I’m also starting to see him as Gender-fluid.

Alya: Bi, Female Leaning. Listen, I ALWAYS saw Alya into girls, even before her and Nino got together in Animan to be honest with you. But according to canon, it seems like she’s even Straight or Bi, since she’s shown attraction to boys. I mean, she COULD be a comphet Lesbian, but meh. I don’t want to erase the possibility of her being Bi because of her attraction to boys too. We need more Bi rep. 😜 So basically, I now see her as Bi, but female leaning. She prefers girls, but Nino is a sweetie pie 😊

Nino: Bi, female leaning. Nino prefers girls more, but he doesn’t mind dudes either 😉 I actually ship him and Adrien together. If it wasn’t for the love square and DJWifi, I think Nindrien would’ve been more popular.

Chloe: Closest Bi, comphet. Some people might see her as token Straight or a closest Lesbian, but I’ve finally decided that she likes both genders equally. Similar with Marinette, I just see her crush on Adrien as heteronormativity/comphet and also because she’s confusing her plantonic love for him with romantic.

Zoe: Queer. Tbh, I don't know right now. We don't know if she's gay, Bi or anything else, but we DO know that she's queer. She hasn’t shown any interest in boys in canon yet, but I don’t want to throw out the possibility of her being Bi/Pan yet either. 

Sabrina: Closest Pan. Sabrina is the type who thought that she was just an Straight Ally who doesn’t care who’s with who when it came to other peoples’s happiness. Love is love after all. Eventually she finds out that SHE HERSELF doesn’t care either when it comes to HER preferences lol 😂

Luka: Bi, simple but obvious 😌

Kagami: Pan & Demi. Use to see her as Bi (female leaning), but she doesn’t care as long as she can have a strong connection with them. I also see her as a Polyamorous Demi. She’s fine with being in a relationship with more than one person, but only if she has a strong connection with them. When you think about it, I guess that kind of makes Mari and Adrien Polyamorous too since Adrigaminette is my OTP3 huh? 😅

Rose: Pan. Rose loves everybody and anybody. She doesn’t care who it is 😊

Jeluka: Lesbian. I don’t really see Jeluka with any males and I don’t think that I ever did. She’s my little goth Lesbean! 😊

Kim: Bi. He’s perfectly fine with both, as long as he’s having fun 😄

Max: Biromantic Ace, Male Leaning, use to see him as Pan, but I see him more as male leaning now. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t mind girls though. Ones who are kind, sweet or/and match his intellect 😊

Ordine: Straight. Meh, I don’t really see her with females 🤷🏾‍♀️ Ordine ships like Kagami, Alix and Aurore etc. don’t interest me. Might change in the future, but I don’t know.

Mylene: Bi & Demi (male leaning). Her and Ivan together are pretty cute, and I don’t put it pass her to be interested in other boys too. But she is queer.

Ivan: Straight. Ivan was the first character in MLB that I saw as Straight lol

Nathaniel: Bi. I don’t ship him with anyone anymore, but that doesn’t mean he’s not a bi-bean to me 😛 I’m pretty sure he’ll find someone one day.

Marc: Gay, Trans, and Gender-fluid. I don’t really see Marc with girls anymore, so he’s gay now 😛 Also, I know he’s already Androgynous, but I also see him as Trans & Gender-fluid.

Alix: Aromatic Lesbian & Bigender. Like with Max (Ace), Alix was confirmed Aromatic, but I still do see her as a Lesbian. I don’t really imagine Alix being in an long term relationship, but she is interested in females. I did headcanon her Bi in the past, but I don’t really see her interested in any boys anymore tbh

Lila: Pan. She doesn’t care who it is, as long as she can manipulate them to her advantage…🤷‍♀️ Don’t get me wrong though, I do imagine Lila being capable of love and falling for someone, but not immediately.

Aurore: Lesbian (Comphet). I don’t ship her with any boys at all, and all my ships with her are with girls.

Mirelle: Bi (Comphet). Similar with Aurore. Also, I also ship them on the same level as Julrose.

Gabriel: Straight, but I don’t like the idea of him being the stereotypical homophobic parent. He’s a shitty person and parent, but it’s not because he’s homophobic. I did see him as bicurious in the past tho lol

Emillie: Bi. Meh, she gives off that kind of energy, even if she’s been in a coma 😜

Natalie: Bi. I like the headcanon that she’s a Bi woman who had feelings for Emillie too, as well as Gabriel (formally). I don’t know how true that is now, but meh. Still my headcanon.

Ms Mendeleiev: Lesbian. I see her being into women solely for the reason that I shipped her with Bustier lol 😅

Miss Bustier: Bi, but now just Queer. Similar with Zoe, we don't know if she's gay, Bi or anything else, but we DO know that she's queer/sapphic. 

Socqueline: Queer/Sapphic. We most certainly know she’s into girls, especially cute preppy ones that so happen to attend the same school that she use to attend, sees her as a role model to the point where she adapted her hairstyle, is into fashion, works at her parents bakery and unfortunately tends to have crushes on boys who are dum-dums instead of also acknowledging her obvious attraction to girls! 😤

Fei: Lesbian. Plain and simple. Makes sense.

Felix: Like Zoe, I’m not absolutely sure yet. But I do see him being part of the Ace Spectrum.

A lot of time has passed since Matt and Natasha broke up (Matt has had many failed relationships since then) and they're pretty much only friends now. I can't forget how poorly he treated her when they were together, but they're a lot better as friends than they are in a relationship.

This is probably my least favorite Black Widow look, it's so bad. The haircut and the suit are just...awful, and the giant Black Widow spider on the back reminds me of Spider-Man. The 80s costumes are usually iconic, but not for Natasha.

After this, Natasha had very sporadic appearances in DD comics until Daredevil Vol 2 was launched in 1998. She made a couple of appearances in that too, got her first solo in 1999 (where we first see her and Yelena together), another solo in 2001 and 2004, made some more appearances in Hawkeye and Avengers comics, and then she finally appeared in Captain America (2005). I don't think I need to talk about how great Brubaker's run was for Natasha.

Before reading Daredevil (1964), I thought Darewidow was a decent ship and I liked Matt's appearances in the Black Widow comics but not anymore lol. Their relationship is very much a product of the 70s, but it was still strangely progressive for the era? Whenever Matt did something awful, Natasha always called him out on it, and they broke up because she was tired of playing second fiddle and wanted to be his equal.

However, I'm glad that Natasha has largely outgrown this version of her. Black Widow of the 70s and Black Widow today are entirely different since so much of her mythos today hadn't been created back then. Natasha's supporting characters were Matt, Clint, and Ivan since Yelena hadn't been created yet and Bucky was "dead". Matt doesn't play a big role in the Black Widow comics today (thank god) and Ivan is dead (good because he's a creep). Natasha was a heiress, but that part of her character has mostly been dropped in the modern day. Even the Red Room hadn't been created yet and Natasha was just a normal Russian spy who defected to America at this point. Clint is pretty much the only important supporting character that has stayed constant all these years.

Way behind, doing it anyway!

1. When did you discover OFMD? A little later than everyone else. I think I started watching it after all the episodes had dropped, and people were talking about the Gay Pirates.

2. What was your first impression? I didn't quite hate it, and I wasn't sure I'd watch past the first three episodes. That was a surprise to me because I like Kiwi humor. I think the problem was I'd been hearing all about how the show was Amazingly Gay and the End of Queerbaiting and a Big Gay Romcom--and that's just not evident the first time you watch the first three episodes. Amazingly Gay gets a reasonable start, to be fair, and all of it is impossible to miss on rewatch. But the first time through, the End of Queerbaiting and a Big Gay Romcom feel like ridiculous oversells. And even with all the casually depicted queerness in the first three episodes, its amount of Amazingly Gay felt like not enough somehow? It might be partly that Stede presents as such a Camp Gay, and Thor Ragnarok made me a bit suspicious of Taika's handling of that type (in retrospect, that was almost certainly the fault of the MCU). That said, I was totally here for Taika, and he doesn't fully appear in the first three eps.

4. Reasons you like OFMD I love OFMD for all the reasons I thought I wouldn't make it past episode 3. 😂

I love the pervasive, matter-of-fact presentation of queerness in all its rich variety. I love the Big Gay Romance, and all the other supporting queer romances. I love the Revenge family. I love their deep, multifarious, matter-of-fact diversity. I love that these characters exist within and sometimes rub up against a world that, like the one we know, is deeply antagonistic to them. I love that OFMD handles racism with the same gently brutal realism as it does anti-queerness. Those two elements of the show break me so hard, in such a good way. I also love the hard switch Rhys gives Stede between Bumbling Bumbler and Daddy in Charge, and I love how he adapts it as the situation calls for. (It's literally the biggest thing that convinced me to keep watching despite my misgivings. It takes 20 minutes into S1E1 to first see it, and then, damn.) I love Ed's wet cat energy. I love Stede's hair. I love Ed's hair. I love the Revenge. I love the shifting flashbacks and dream/story sequences. I love Izzy as an antagonist, and the painfully realistic toxic relationship between him and Ed that fuels the antagonism. And I love how Izzy constantly shoots himself in the foot. I love all the supporting male characters of color: Frenchie and Olu and Fang and Roach and Ivan, and how most of them are big guys and are so sexy and I just....yeah.

5. Favorite main character

Ed. I am Ed coded to the absolute max. And he's sexy AF, in all his guises.

6. Favorite supporting character(s)

I am both glad and not to see that "(s)." Could I choose just one? No. Since I am allowed to choose multiple, is it going to look like I'm naming the whole cast? Yep!

Top of the top: Frenchie.

Followed closely by Olu, Mary, Lucius, and Fang.

Honorable mentions: Roach, Nana, the Swede, Buttons, Evelyn, and Alma.

S5E5: Please, Tell The Truth [prev, first]

->Because Patrick Gets His "Five Seconds" (And We Get The Most Intimate Sex Scene On Elite)

Back in part 6, I mentioned something I noticed in one of episode five's scenes that goes back to Patrick's little "five seconds" moment in season 4. And here's me bothering y'all about it.

Let me explain.

Quick recap: So after Patrick walks out of Ivan's room, he decides to sleep in the guest room instead. While in there, he receives a message from Cruz reminding him that he's waiting for Patrick in his room. Patrick hesitates for like, 2 seconds, then gets up to do it anyway. I mean, if Ivan can't do it, his dad's a good enough substitute, no? 😂 Anyway-

Patrick swings the door open and steps out into the hallway, almost bumps into IVAN, who's there just in time to catch him.

What do you know. Ivan finally grows the balls to actually go after Patrick.

And yeah, he's nervous as hell, understandably so, but he's doing his best to just be honest - with Patrick and with himself, especially. He already started 'telling the truth' back in his room when he confessed his attraction to Patrick despite his fear. So why the hell would he regress back into the closet, right? So he won't, and he doesn't.

And he wholeheartedly tells Patrick:

Then he goes right in for that kiss that they've been dangling over our heads since episode 1. LIKE-

He just grabs Patrick by the back of his neck and **smooches**. Lol. I fucking love it.

Okay, so, now this is where my little observation comes in. Some of y'all (if not all) will say I'm just reaching at this point, but idgaf tbh.

Just LOOK-

So, the background music fades out just as their kiss ends, and they both pull back to look at each other's eyes, right? And, so, okay, now LISTEN. If you play the scene and look closely, or monitor the time stamps, or count it yourself, you will see/notice that there is exactly FIVE seconds of gap in the transition from the first background music to the next, which is Brian Eno's By This River.

NOW. Moving on. Of course, we know what happens next 😏😏😏. And, idk, maybe y'all don't agree with what I said in the title of this post that Patrick and Ivan's sex scene is the most intimate one on Elite yet, but let's agree to disagree if that is so. Because I have seen every sex scene on Elite, and there's nothing quite like what occured between our boys.

"Como por cinco segundos, no existe nada más que él." - this line, this line is exactly what happens. For five seconds, Ivan is all that exists to him 🥲. I don't care what anyone says, but the fact that there's five seconds of faded out music in this scene, couldn't have been purely accidental. Remember Patrick also adds "and you can't help but smile" in the S4 scene, AND THEY BOTH SMILE LIKE SMITTEN FOOLS after the kiss in this scene? I refuse to be told otherwise. I have already planted my feet on this hill, and I will die on it.

I can't be normal after this tbh 🥲🥲🥲. Because Patrick deserves it 🥲🥲🥲. *SOBS* 😭😭😭

I mean. It's also the longest, most explicit sex scene yet. They didn't hold back, did they? Like, Elite has no chill.

No chill whatsoever. Ivan giving his first bj on-screen 👀. Ivan receiving his first rim on-screen. Ivan topping a man for the first time on-screen 👀👀👀. All in 5 minutes 👀👀👀 (lol, no I didn't actually count...)

Aha! I would see Barbara as a dancer, and she is pretty good at it too. Always the first one on the dance floor. What she would hate… I don’t picture her as being a movie fan. She would not like seating for a lot of time. Unless it’s a Mamma Mia movie.

And Kazimir… okay, don’t ask me why —because I couldn’t answer, but I feel like he would be the type to love hanging out with DOGS. Big dogs especially. (He would see videos of people walking and playing with their dogs and get fascinated and smile with sparkles in his eyes, even though he would deny it in front of Death itself.) And what does the man hate to do? Well, a lot of things. He hates iceskating. He is very bad at it— which is probably why he would hate it.

For Gilles, it would be the moment he learnt about his mother’s death, with a letter, while he was away. He hated that he couldn’t do a thing to save her when she needed him.

For Gustave, I’d say when he was a child. He was still living with his parents, and he used to paint a lot at that time. When things became heated for his family after the Revolution and they left their house, Gustave claimed he didn’t want to leave — and moreover not without his paintings. His parents took them all and burned them the night they left.

✨- What is the meaning of the name of [Kazimir]?

Lsnslsndk, yup I did! :> It means “destroyer of the peace”, I thought it suited him well, considering the fact that I created him because I had the idea of one of Ivan’s men fighting with Jim…

🍎- What is [Gustave’s] relationship with his parents?

Oof- bad, very bad… They disagreed on a lot of things, and his parents never supported his decision to come back to Paris, and enroll in the army.

🙌- Does [Gustave] have any siblings?

Nope, he is an only child!! He was very close with his cousins as a kid though, but most of them left France after the 1789 Revolution. He never saw them again afterwards.

🍕- What is [Jim’s] favorite food?

Crêpes. Yes. I mean, that is if we’re considering his life in the modern times. If we get back to the 1920’s, he haven’t gotten the chance to taste them yet, so i dont know really XD…

🎹- What is [Jim’s] hobby?

The man’s would be very curious about music, learn how to play songs on various instruments. And his go-to activity when he can? Origamis. Very calming, if you ask him. Do not let him near papers, or you won’t find them ever again. Or you will, but transformed into a folded pigeon maybe.

💼- What does [Barbara] do for a living?

She would probably work in a restaurant, as a waitress. Just a job to get a good wage, but being an optimistic person, she manages to enjoy it.

🌺- Does [Gilles] have any love interest ?

Ahhh!! No he doesn’t at least not for now !!! 👀

🎯- What does [Gilles] do best?

Solving conflicts, he knows how to stay calm and focused in tensed situations. Quite the diplomat and he hates arguments— so he learnt to work around it.

🍀- What originally inspired [Gilles]?

Ahaha… Well, I was looking through my Pinterest feed. It was the moment where I started to read things about the Empire and how its army was composed, … . So Pinterest heard me, and showed a few paintings of soldiers wearing a braid… yes. That’s how it started 😂…

The Japanese website Netorabo ran a Character Popularity Poll from May 29th to June 5th, 2022. The poll received 1,751 votes and the question asked was, “Who is your favorite TIGER & BUNNY 2 character?”

They had 16 characters on the poll, plus a “Other” option. So, here are 11 - 16 + the “Other” option, along with how many votes they got:

Unsurprisingly, we have the newer heroes and the antagonists here. This makes sense to me, since the audience is still learning about the new heroes. I’m also not surprised by the order of the new heroes and their popularity. Lara and Thomas tend to be more generally favored over Subaru in both the Japanese and international fanbase (he’s personally my least favorite of the new heroes, as well).

Mugan and Fugan/Hugan being so low makes sense too. I enjoyed them as antagonists, but they were just here for this one cour, so a lot of people aren’t going to have them as their favorite character. The same can be said for Agnes. I love her character, but I wouldn’t choose her as my favorite character in the whole series. A part of me does wonder if her ranking would have been a bit higher if she was still skinny (sadly, there as been quite a bit of fatphobic comments in regards to Agnes among the Japanese fanbase, so it does just make me go “hmm...”, you know).

Kotetsu annihilated them, omg!  😂 😂 😂This ranking isn’t all that surprising to me, T&B fans absolutely love Kotetsu. I knew he was well liked in the fanbase in general, but I didn’t realize it was by that much. I find it fascinating that Yuri just goes by Yuri here and not Lunatic. I would assume it is because Lunatic doesn’t really make an appearance in the first cour. 

Anyway, this fan ranking is pretty fun to compare to the Hero TV Rankings:

It would also be interesting to see the differences in character rankings between this Japanese fanbase centered poll and an international fanbase centered poll.

Chapter Fourteen: All I Know is that I’ve Seen This Scene Some Years Ago…

As she came to, a sense of disorientation – of vertigo – akin to nausea swept over Marinette.  She lifted a hand to her head, groaning as she blinked open her eyes.  Her head was still throbbing, and her vision was swimming a little.  She felt awful, like…like she had been hit by a truck or something.  (…she was pretty sure she never actually had been, but she had been slammed into and tossed across the Parisian sky by multiple truck-sized akumas, so she liked to think she knew what getting hit by a truck felt like.  Relatively speaking.)

When her vision cleared – at least as much as it was going to – she realized she was on the Liberty.

And there was a niggling in the back of her mind, like a memory trying to worm its way into her brain, that said she had been there all morning.  Kitty Section had a show – their first show – and she was helping set up.  For the Music Festival.  Because Juleka, Rose, and Ivan were her friends, and she had promised them.  And…and…

Her head ached as she tried to force the memory, to ignore whatever the niggling was telling her and focus on what she knew was true. Because Marinette knew that wasn’t right.  It had been, over a year ago when the Music Festival had actually happened, but it wasn’t true now.  Today.

Aaaaah I love Germany! When my best friend and I were younger her nickname was Doitsu. To this day if I lose her at the mall or something I just go "Doitsu!" (not like a scream or anything just casually saying it out loud) and she's back in 0.00000001 second going "why" LOL.

I remember the first time I fell for Russia. I was at a sleepover with my friend who was telling me all about this character he swore I'd like. And I was like show me? And he did and that's when my brain went aw shit this is the one for me. It's been 12 or so years and I still get that flustered.

Like the second I think about Ivan I get like bright red. Like RED.

I have one main au? where we live out in the countryside and live a quiet peaceful life together. Think Slavic cottagecore. Everytime I get stressed out I think about it and immediately I'm like calmer. It's a great little self help mechanism for me.

I just like to think because I am shy and easily flustered (unless around someone for a while), my persona Zori is the same way and they rly appreciate that Ivan is really patient with them and here's their best friend Alfred just like you can do it *they can't do it 💀* (Oh yeah sometimes I selfship with America / Alfred and sometimes I just see Zori and Alfred as a complete bromance. It depends on the day LOL).
