"His rage passes description – the sort of rage that is only seen when rich folk that have more than they can enjoy suddenly lose something that they have long had but have never before used or wanted."

rewatching lotr, and rewatched the hobbit trilogy like 2 weeks ago, and i must say. i love this franchise for all its “i knew a guy who knew a guy” relations. like to give just one example, gimli presumes for a second, like the whole fellowship, that frodo got injured by the cave troll in moria. but he’s actually just fine! because frodo just happens to be gimli’s dad’s boss’s situationship’s nephew, and therefore has the mithril shirt that gimli’s dad’s boss gave to his situationship right before gimli’s dad’s boss led the company to battle against, among others, legolas’s dad. legolas’s old situationship from like last year (60 years ago) was also there and chose, get this, gimli’s dad’s boss’s nephew over him. i love yall

Day 3: Celegorm for @feanorianweek
Lust|Chastity
Coriander Flowers: Coriander flowers symbolize lust, as the seeds were used as an aphrodisiac in ancient Greece they were found in tombs of Egyptian pharaohs as far back as 5000 BC.
I thought the white and green flowers also fitting to him as it makes him blend in more with them than Maedhros and Maglor´s flower, since he is a hunter, who learned under Orome. I also let his hair be free from the usual ponytail just this once to make the wild come across. I think he puts a lot of his self value into what he is good at, such as hunting, fighting, tracking, looking like Miriel, etc, which also makes him fall so much quicker and harder than most of his brothers, but that also means that he can relate to Curufin better in a strange way, that leads to harmful loyalty and their downfall on both sides.

This month, I got to go on my dream trip, the adventure I'd longed to go on since I was a thirteen-year-old watching the LOTR movies for the first time. I got to spend two weeks in Aotearoa/New Zealand, home of Middle-earth, and visit many of the filming locations.
I spent one day at Tongariro National Park on Te Ika-a-Maui (North Island) and visit "Mordor" and "Mt Doom". I brought my little Sauron action figure along for the trip and felt he deserved to visit his Land of Darkness.
The snow-capped volcano in the background of the photo is Mt Ruapehu, which was where the Mt Doom scenes were filmed.
Ash nazg durbatuluk!
