Mezou sucked in a long suffering breath before turning to the shadowy twin of his boyfriend’s soul.  “I have to do this, I’m not sure what else to tell you.”

“Dark Shadow-”

The shadow held up a spectral clawed hand, beak shoved up into the air.  “Not now, Fumikage, Mezou and I are busy.”  It then proceeded to lean in close to where Mezou was hunched over his laptop, emboldened by the dusk falling outside the window.

“I need to study,” Mezou repeated as he tried not to sound too long suffering.  “And a part of that means that I can’t spend all of my time on you.  I already said that I can pet you with one hand if you’ll stay still-”

“One hand?”  It said, voice aghast.  “You expect me to be fine with one hand?”

Tokoyami & Shouji: UNDERRATED. I love them. Two strong silent boys in the otherwise CHAOS of 1-A. We all ship it bc of the summer camp arc and that’s exactly how it should be. They give each other the “looks at the camera like they’re on the office” look constantly.

TodoDeku: soooo cuuuuuteee. The Stain arc, the sports festival arc, how they always build each other up. Two boys learning to love themselves and have confidence in their own abilities, supporting each other through it. Absolutely adorable.

Yanno what legitimately chokes me up about shoutoko/tokoshouji/whatever spelling you use? It's the dynamic of Tokoyami, who seems to have struggled for a very long time with an incredibly strong power that feeds off of his temper, and Shouji, the guy who has seen him at his worst and didn't even fucking flinch. Wouldn't run, wouldn’t retreat, wouldn’t even go to get someone that could help because he saw past the rage and the power to see through to his friend. His friend who was in pain and trying his best and who needed him, despite said friend legit trying to attack him. And then after, Shouji was calmly looking him in the eye and basically saying 'I know you. I am not afraid. I trust you.'

It's two people, each who think that they are monstrous and not worthy or valid because of it, but each recognizing the worth and humanity in the other.

Like... GOD DAMN that is just. That is such a good ship dynamic. Especially when you also have the fact that Shouji is perpetually throwing himself in the way of danger and is self sacrificial to a legitimate fault, to the point of concealing himself so that he isn’t a bother. This compared to the guy who has really embraced what he likes and what he looks like and the perception that he gives off. And who values his friends to the point where he legitimately can't handle it, how much would that mean to someone who values everyone else above himself?

UGH I JUST. IT'S A GOOD SHIP, YOU GUYS.
