I loved Summon AU, is it possible that you make more Summon AU?
The aftermath of the summoning leaves the Wayne Manor in a strange sense of foreboding. No one really knows what the Ghost King has done with their list or what it means for them that he has accepted.
Everyone tried to go about their daily lives, attempting to act like they weren't looking over their shoulders. Bruce had nearly broken a blood vessel when he heard about them doing a stupid online trend when they knew magic and gods were real.
They couldn't think of a better excuse for why they did besides "it seemed funny at the time."
Bruce had been so unimpressed with them all that he broke out the big guns.
That night, Alfred grounded them. He really sat everyone- minutes Cass because she had escaped through the window after Danny called- and told them they would not be allowed to use any form of technology unless it was related to their nighttime job.
They would also be given a chore list to complete every day until their punishment was over.
Even though neither Dick or Jason lived at home anymore, they too were grounded and didn't bother to even try to argue with the aging butler. Cass was informed of her own punishment through a text, and she returned about thirty minutes later, ready to face her punishment.
She reorganized everything in storage- and in Wayne Manor, there was a lot in storage- without a single complaint, but she did seem somewhat nervous. And excited?
Like a child waiting to open a present.
That was out of character for Cass, but no one was brave enough to ask her about it. Life before the manor was a taboo topic when it came to Cass.
A week later, her restless behavior finally came to light.
When the doorbell rang, Alfred was just looking over the wood polishing job Tim and Damian had been assigned. Confused- as there were no expected guests and the kids were all still grounded- he approached the door cautiously. Tim was on standby in case things went south.
A young adult, likely barely eighteen, with pretty blue eyes, a vast, charming smile, and a gorgeous winter-themed dress, was on the other side of the door. Their hair is short but styled to have one side longer than the other, framing their face perfectly.
A spinnable circle pin on her dress read Gender Fluid in the unmovable part and "She/Her day" in the spinal part.
"Hi there," She chirps, a dimple on full display. "I'm Danny."
"Good afternoon, Danny. My name is Alfred. How can I help you?"
"I was wondering if Cass was home?" Dany starts surprising Alfred and Tim -who were eavesdropping around the corner- as the girl carefully plays with her hair. "I was hoping to talk to her."
"Miss Casandra is currently not allowed guests." The butler starts slowly. He watches her face fall dramatically before humming. "I can, however, pass along a message to her."
"Oh yeah, that be great. Please let her know Danny was wondering if she would like to go with me to see a ballet tonight. Um if she's allowed to go out."
Tim's eyes widen. A date? Danny had come here in person to ask Cass if she wanted to go on a date? Then had the courage to ask Alfred, to his face, if she could take his grandaughter out?
Who is she? Tim thinks amazed. He wants to text the rest of the group chat, which would invade Cass' privacy. He waits a few minutes until Alfred responds.
"Miss Casandra is currently grounded. Unfortunately, she and her siblings cannot leave until their punishment ends."
Tim winces. Hopefully, Cass being nineteen and still being grounded at her age didn't scare off Danny. Some people didn't understand how much power Alfred's word had over the manor and frankly, those people didn't deserve Cass anyway.
But it would make her sad.
"Oh, that's okay. Thank you for letting me-"
A scream makes everyone jump. Tim whirls around to find Damian pressed against the main stairway. His face has gone three sheets of white, staring at Danny with horror.
"Y-you!"
Danny tilts her head. "Me?"
"Y-you!" Damian gasps and Tim is highly alarmed that his voice is tinted with fear. "Why are you here?!"
"I came to ask Cass if-"
"You will not take Cain from me, Ghost King! I will destroy your core before you try to get near her!" Damian screams, hand suddenly holding a glowing green sword, but his threat doesn't hold much because he is literally shaking in his boots. "You have your summon payment already! You shall leave Cain alone!"
What.
"Oh! You think no, no. I'm not here for her soul or anything. Cass and I go way back when she lived on the streets. " Danny- the ghost king they summoned using a list of their gay awaking apparently- laughs, waving her hands as if to calm the young child. "I liked her for a while but thought she didn't feel the same. Until the summoning, where I saw my name on the list. We talked it out, and I was hoping to take her on a first date, you know?"
"You lie!" Damian races down to point his sword at Danny, looking just as wild as a cornered animal about to fight for its life. "Why would the strongest being in the multiverse live on the streets?!"
"Well....it's not like they pay to rule the dead....I had a rough patch, but Cass helped me get back on my feet." Danny muttered, slightly embarrassed. Then she squits at Damian. "Wait, are you a al Ghul?"
Damian breaks into a sweat as Danny gasps, "You are! You're family owes me so much money in backed up taxes for the healing pool! We cut off contamination maintenance because Ra's refused to pay years ago! Kid, do you know I can get into contact with your family member about the Lazarus pit?"
Damian screamed again, turned around, and ran, leaving a stunned Alfred, Tim and Danny. "Guess not. Anyway, sorry to be a bother Mr. Alfred, I'll come back when Cass can go out. Bye!"
A familiar portal rips under Danny as she falls through with a cheerful wave. Alfred and Tim watch it close in a moment before Tim turns to the butler. "Did I inhale too many polishing chemicals? Am I hallucinating?"
"No, my dear boy, I saw everything as well."
"Oh, good. " Tim pauses. " One of us needs to speak to Damian and Cass."
Alfred closes the door slowly. "I'll find Master Damian. You go for Miss Cassandra and Master Tim?"
"Hmm?"
"The next time, Mister Conner sends you a fun trend to try. Don't."
"Yeah, that's fair."

the first day blues | dad!quinn hughes
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
luvhughes43 masterlist🌙
request: can you do a dad quinn about his baby going to like preschool for the first time and they’re both sad and scared
word count: 0.9k
“quinn dont cry! you’ll make me cry!” your voice comes out high-pitched as you tearfully watch your baby put on her little book bag for the first time.
quinn sniffles quietly as he adjusts the bag's straps to fit his baby girl. he looks up at you after he’s done, and he makes no attempts to hide his teary eyes as he knew you were feeling the same.
“she's growing up so fast,” quinns voice is soft in contrast to the enthusiastic tone of your 4 year old.
“i go to school now!” the girl was excited, definitely getting her love of school from her mother. quinns eyes immediately find yours before putting a brave face on for his daughter.
“yes baby, mommy and i are going to take you to school” he kneels down in front of his daughter again, who immediately jumps into his arms.
the drive to the school was way too short, and soon enough you and quinn were dropping your first baby off at school.
the two of you walked your daughter to the classroom, who was immediately getting acquainted with all of her new school friends.
“well at least we know she’ll have fun?” you try to lighten the mood but quinn wasn’t feeling it.
“it's just so…” quinn wipes a stray tear away with his thumb. “she's my little girl.. i don't want her to grow up yet..”
you place your hand on your husband's back, rubbing up and down to try and soothe him. you weren’t thrilled for your daughter to start school either, but you knew that once everything settled everything would be okay.
after another few minutes of observing the classroom and making small talk with the other parents, you started preparing to go home.
“DADDY!” your daughter screamed as soon as she spotted your retreating figures leaving the classroom. quinn turned back, kneeling down so he could talk to his daughter properly.
she ran up to him, giving him a huge hug. “where are you going?” she whines, grabbing hold of her fathers hand and tugging on it.
“mommy and i are going home,” quinn explains softly to the teary eyed pre-schooler.
“no!” your daughter whined loudly, tugging on both yours and quinns heartstrings. “whos going to play with me?” her eyes were teary as she tugged on her fathers hands.
“all of your new friends!” you coo, kneeling down next to quinn as his eyes started getting watery as well.
“but i wanna play with daddy!” the girl cries. “Its daddy day! he's home!” your daughter sniffled, referring to the days quinn had off from work.
“i’ll be home when you get back from school,” quinn tries to reassure his daughter despite also feeling upset about her having to stay at school.
your daughter swiftly shakes her head as she starts climbing up quinn. she wrapped her tiny arms around his neck and buried her face into his shoulder. quinns arms immediately encircled his daughter. “i dont want you to go” the little girl whispers to quinn who tries his hardest not to break down then and there.
“i don't want to go either princess,” quinn starts. he looks to you for reassurance and you nod for him to continue. “but, you're going to have so much fun at school! you're going to make friends and..”
“but i already have friends!”
“you're going to make more friends, and guess what!” quinn pulls slightly away from his daughter so she could see the excitement plastered onto his face.
“..what” she responds wearily.
“you're going to do crafts! and remember outside? there's a park and you'll get to play on it!” quinn starts listing off things that he remembered your daughter was excited about.
your daughter slowly detaches herself from quinn and moves to give you a hug as well. “mommy..”
“yes baby?” you give your daughter a hug while quinn collects himself.
“you're gonna pick me up from school?”
you tuck a strand of your daughter's hair behind her ear and hum. “mhm, daddy and i will be waiting here for you as soon as schools over!” your daughter looks apprehensive but nods nonetheless.
“and we get ice cream?” you had to stifle your laugh at your daughter's words. of course she would ask for ice cream less than a minute after crying about not wanting to go to school.
“we can get ice cream” quinn says as he stands up from his position on the ground. your daughter smiles, rushing over to quinn and hugging his legs.
“hello my friend! are you ready for school?” a polite looking woman steps out of the classroom to greet your daughter. your daughter looks at both you and quinn, before nodding shyly.
“do you want to see the colouring station!” the teacher's voice is cheerful as she tries to transition your baby's sadness into excitement for school. once again, your daughter nods.
the teacher walks your girl into the classroom and points her to the colouring tables. you and quinn watch for a moment in the doorway similar to a lot of first time parents who were also lingering in case their child needed them.
“bye mommy! bye daddy!” your daughter waves happily as she grabs hold of a colouring book and some crayons. you and quinn wave back with smiles on your faces, happy to know that your daughter would have a good time at school.

I’m not quite sure if your requests are open or not so if they aren’t just ignore this!♥️ but if they are, hi!!! I was wondering if you could do an Austin Butler/Buck Cleven x Reader who plays hard to get with him. She is like head nurse or something, a badass who was trained by her daddy in the arts of war, like I’m talking knowing how to throw hand grenades, shooting rifles or knowing how to work a plane despite her role in modern day 1940s society. I don’t like reading abt Y/N being naive yk?
Tumblr media
hello! 💕 this story takes place when the boys are still in the USA and training. I believe I've read somewhere they actually spent two years in Texas so... the Reader is a girl from Texas and a daughter of one of the badass Colonels at the base who is training Buck and others. she is also a head nurse at that base (I assume they also had sickbays even though those were training bases...? I literally know nothing about the military lmao). I hope she will be strong enough for you 😌 I personally don't find every sweet and more period-accurate female character to be weak or naive but it was still nice to write a different type of character for once 😅
I might post less frequently in the upcoming days because I am catching up with my uni work finally after a few weeks of abandoning it to write fics lol
my inbox is open for blurb/short fic requests for major cleven 🤗
Tumblr media
Bucky laughed at the sight of his friend going inside the sickbay after a training flight. He was going there for the fifth time this week and it was all because his friend had a crush on the head nurse, young (Y/N) (Y/L/N).
Miss (Y/L/N) was a daughter of Colonel (Y/L/N) – the Colonel (Y/L/N) – the scariest and the roughest man around. He had a scar right across his face and he was known for being so strong he could rip the tree out of the ground with his bare hands… or so the legend said.
His daughter was just like her father. She was feminine of course in her nurse’s apron and her hair done up neatly so it wouldn’t interrupt her work. Her hands were soft and her lips covered with red lipstick. But she was a tough girl who didn’t mind swearing a little and scolding all the boys at the base for their irresponsible behaviour. She probably didn’t know that they all acted this way just so they could get to the sickbay and be treated by her.
At least that was the case for Buck.
She sighed at the sight of him and rolled her eyes as she approached him when he entered the room.
“Major Cleven… Again?” She raised her eyebrows at him and he blushed. “What is it this time?”
“I am… I am dizzy,” he made up a pathetic lie and she huffed at that as she pointed at the chair for him to sit down on.
“I will give you something for that but if you keep having troubles of this sort, I’m gonna tell my daddy to not send you to Europe, you know?” She teased and he swallowed thickly at that comment.
“Please, don’t, Miss (Y/L/N),” he pleaded, his eyes carefully following her every movement as she looked at him with a smirk.
“Well, we don’t want weak pilots like you to defend our country, do we?” She teased.
“It’s not because of flying… It’s… I don’t know, it’s something else,” Buck hated himself for the way he acted around her. She was so intimidating but so tempting at the same time. The fragile part of his masculinity was simply scared of her but his other, brave side wanted to be around her all the time. And he was very well aware how many other men wanted her, too. But his feelings were real. It had very little to do with desire. He was serious about her.
She approached him and handed him a pill and a glass of water. He swallowed it and she squinted her eyes at him.
“I swear to God, you boys are the worst bunch I’ve ever dealt with,” she shook her head. “I hope in Europe I will handle real men,” she rolled her eyes.
“You’re going to Europe, too?” Buck asked as he widened his eyes.
“Of course, Major. It brings me no pleasure to be here and help buffoons like you,” she chuckled. “I signed up already and my daddy wants me to be assigned to the 100th.”
“That’s where I will go, too,” Buck’s eyes sparkled as he realised that she wouldn’t get rid of him so easily.
“Oh God…” (Y/N) sighed. “I hope you’ll be long gone by the time I get there.”
“I hope not,” he blurted out and she froze for a second before laughing.
“Oh, you’re cute, Major,” she admitted before walking away to deal with the next man entering the sickbay, coming up with some fake injury just to feel her hands examining him and hear her mocking tone scolding him for his irresponsibility.
Tumblr media
You liked Bucky Egan because he was funny and he didn’t care about you. He could have any woman he wanted so he wasn’t showing off when you were around – or playing a victim like so many “injured” Majors, Captains and Lieutenants. You were growing sick of all of them, coming to you with every single papercut and making puppy eyes at you.
You were having a beer with Bucky behind one of the buildings in the evening. Consuming alcohol was forbidden but who would fire you? You were a daughter of the roughest Colonel in that base. And Bucky was under your protection – and one of the best pilots around.
“Alright, but if you had to go out with any of them, who would that be?” Bucky asked, teasingly.
“For fuck’s sake, John,” you rolled your eyes and leaned your head back to rest it on the wall. “It would be you.”
“But I don’t want you,” he laughed.
“You…,” you hissed at him and you both giggled. “That’s why I would go out with you.”
“Oh, you like the ones who don’t want you?”
“No, I like real men,” you told him. “Like my daddy is.”
“You know that my best friend is madly in love with you, right?” Bucky pushed your arm playfully.
“Curt Biddick?” You asked. God, that one was insufferable.
“Yeah, him too. But I mean the other one.”
“Buck Cleven?” You asked as you felt your cheeks heating up for some mysterious reason.
“Yeah, that one,” Bucky nodded. “He’s a good guy and a hell of a pilot. He’s tough, too, just in a different way.”
“Yeah, he’s cute, bless his heart,” you admitted.
“So, you’d go out with him?” Bucky raised his eyebrow at you.
“Stop playing matchmaker, it’s not gonna happen. I ain’t dating any man from this base,” you took a sip of your beer as you shook your head.
“Why not, though? You don’t want to marry a man like your daddy? I thought you wanted to,” Bucky asked.
“Y’all would be scared of a gal like me, let me tell you,” you giggled. “I can shoot a rifle and throw a grenade. My daddy wanted a son, you see. But my momma gave him only girls so he raised us like boys,” you told him. “All that discipline, I ain’t joking, Bucky,” you pushed him because he was laughing. “We had to get up at 5am, make our bed, do morning gymnastics,” you teased.
“Really?” His face became more serious.
“Nah,” you shook your head. “Only sometimes. But he took the whole business of teaching us self-defence very seriously. I remember asking him, where the hell would I even get a grenade from in case some boy was following me home, daddy? And he said: easy, sugar, they’re in my drawer next to the gun,” you laughed and so did Bucky.
“You know what I think?” Bucky put his bottle of beer down and shot you an odd glance you did not like at all.
“What, Egan?”
“You’re gonna get angry when I tell you.”
“Just tell me,” you rolled your eyes.
“I think you need a man who’s gonna see a woman in you. Like yeah, we all know you’re tough and shit. And all these boys want to be around you because you’re like a mother that they have left back home in the way you scold them and take care of them. But I think you just need someone to see a woman in you. Has anyone ever…?”
“You asshole,” you indeed got angry. You didn’t want him to be right and react in such a predictable way but you did.
You stood up and went back to the building to go to sleep, leaving Bucky Egan without a word.
Tumblr media
You didn’t know what Bucky had said to Buck but Major Cleven hadn’t visited the sickbay in a week now and you hated to admit but you missed it. In fact, you were the most excited when it was him coming inside with some adorable injury or illness. There was something about him that was making you swoon even though you would never ever admit that.
On that weekend most boys had a night out and you stayed inside the sickbay to deal with the paperwork. One of the head nurse’s duties sadly required filling some papers, too.
After a while, you heard a light knocking upon the front door and you sighed before standing up and opening them, shocked to see Major Cleven.
“Major?” You asked. “What is it again? The mysterious dizziness has had its comeback?”
“N-no,” he shook his head.
“Why aren’t you out with all the boys?”
“I didn’t want to go,” he admitted and you squinted your eyes at him.
“So you decided to catch me in an empty room instead? I have a gun here and I know how to use it,” you threatened although it was hard to believe that a man like Major Cleven would ever hurt any woman.
“I wanted to ask you if you’d go out on a walk with me, Miss (Y/L/N),” he widened his eyes at your threats. “It’s a warm and nice night.”
“Ugh, fine,” you shrugged your arms and grabbed a cardigan to put over your nurse’s outfit. He waited for you outside nervously with his hands in his pockets.
“I don’t want to be a bother, we don’t have to…” Buck told you as you were locking the door behind you.
“You’re lucky, Major, I needed a distraction from the papers,” you told him and joined him.
“Yeah, the paperwork. I don’t like it either,” he looked down and you two began to walk slowly towards the gates leading out of the base.
“And who does?” You chuckled and looked at him as you bit on your lip. He was adorable; something about him was making you feel protective. But on the other hand you knew from your father he was one of the best pilots and he was a man of honour. Your father was usually rolling his eyes at the mention of most men at the base. But never about Major Cleven. Your father rarely respected the young and new ones but something about that Major was making your daddy go easy on him.
“I wanted to apologise, actually,” Buck told you when you two finally left the base and began to walk alongside its fence.
“Hm? About what?” You asked.
“Bothering you five times a week with made up dizziness or papercuts,” he laughed nervously.
“And what made you apologise? You’re not the only one who’s been doing that, Major, but you’re surely the first actually saying he’s sorry,” you raised an eyebrow.
“Bucky told me it’s annoying you and that it’s not really a way to get to you,” he admitted as he looked up at your face.
“Why the hell would you want to get to me? You’re a sweet man,” you snorted at him. In the dim light of the moon and the base’s lights from afar you could see him blushing.
“What does it have to do with it, Miss (Y/L/N)?” Buck asked.
“I’m not sweet, Major Cleven. A guy like you… You should be out there in town with them boys and look for a sweet little naive doll for yourself,” you teased him. But deep down it hurt you that it was true – you were raised for a tough girl but sometimes… Sometimes you wished you were softer.
“You think so low of me, Miss?” He only shook his head with a nervous chuckle. “That type of woman you’ve mentioned… They’re nice and kind, I don’t mind them, they’re sweet, yeah. And they make good wives to lots of men but you… You’re the first one who actually impressed me,” he confessed.
You went silent for a moment. You liked that he wasn’t complimenting you while saying mean things about others.
“You’re a real gentleman, Cleven,” you pointed out. “And so smooth. You’d be a sensation if you stayed here in Texas.”
“Would I?” He stopped his walk and so did you as he turned around to face you better.
“Yeah. But if you stayed here, you’d soon realise there are more gals like me ‘round here. And I’d lose all the charm,” you teased.
“Then maybe I’d finally leave you alone, which I assume is your wish.”
“Oh, far from that,” you risked as you raised your eyebrows, waiting for his next move.
He hesitated for a while and then he smiled smugly and joined his lips with yours in a sweet but passionate kiss that took your breath away.
Bucky had been right – it was nice to be treated like a woman.
“Will your daddy shoot me for that?” Major Cleven asked with a chuckle after finally breaking the kiss.
“It’s not him you should be worried about. I can shoot, too, Major, and my daddy wouldn’t get rid of the best pilot,” you teased.
“But you would?” He grabbed your chin gently.
“The best pilot? Surely. But would I get rid of Major Cleven? Never,” you chuckled. “God, I’ve missed your made up migraines,” you confessed.
“I can fake more of them,” he smirked.
“Yes, please,” you chuckled and leaned in to kiss him again. “But let’s keep it a secret for now.”
“Why?”
“Because if my daddy finds out about us, he’ll make sure we won’t be sent to the same base in Europe and we don’t want that, do we…?” You looked up at him, your heart pounding so fast in your chest as it had never done before for any man.
“Oh, no, no, we don’t want that at all,” Major Cleven bopped you on the nose. “Who will deal with my headaches there otherwise?”

If I Should Stay
Part 1 | . . . | Part 30 | Part 31 | Part 32
He catches Eddie’s eye. Eddie shakes his head slowly, and Steve understands his meaning: don’t make it obvious.
Steve gives him a short nod, then his attention is arrested by Tommy, who’s storming up to him. “Harrington.”
“Hagan.”
Tommy’s eyes narrow. “He turn you fag or something?”
Steve laughs, loud and bold, and claps Tommy on the shoulder. “You’re funny,” he says, then quieter, “especially for how many times I’ve caught you staring at me.” He steps back and grins at Tommy, who’s white and rapidly turning red. “I never-”
“Oh, that’s right,” Steve says amiably. “It was Nathan, wasn’t it? Who you couldn’t keep your eyes off of. Does Carol know?”
Tommy comes at him swinging, and Steve barely dodges in time. “Yeesh, touchy. Guess it must be true, then. Y’know, you could talk to her about it. She might be down.”
Tommy swings again, and this time his knuckles catch Steve’s bottom lip. “Dammit,” he sighs, wincing when he tastes blood. “I was doing so good, too.” He moves to the side just as Tommy rushes him again, nudging him just the slightest bit to let his momentum carry him forward and onto his knees. He mentally thanks Nancy and physics homework, which isn’t really a sentence he ever thought he’d say.
“Okay, okay, break it up,” the gym teacher says, pulling Tommy up and glaring at both of them. “Do I want to know what’s going on?”
Their gym teacher, Mr. Craigs, is a forty-something-year-old veteran with the look in his eye to prove it. Anyone with a brain was at least a little bit scared of him.
“No, sir,” Steve says politely. “Sorry for causing a disturbance.”
He can feel Tommy seething with anger beside him. Mr. Craigs turns his gaze on Tommy, and Steve’s a little surprised he doesn’t start vibrating. “No. Sorry, sir,” Tommy grits out.
“Lets keep it that way,” Mr. Craigs orders, and both boys nod. “And Harrington, go wash that blood off.”
Steve wipes his lip. “Sorry, sir,” he says, and turns to do just that.
Somehow Eddie’s made it back to the locker rooms already, because he had time to find a rag and wet it before Steve walks in. He hands it over and stares as Steve dabs at his lip. “You’re kind of an idiot,” he says finally.
Steve snorts. “Tell me something I don’t know.”
Eddie sighs. “You’re also really brave. I don’t know that I’d have the guts to drop my friends like that.”
“The difference between us is your friends are good people,” Steve says, moving the rag and staring at himself in the mirror, replacing it when more blood seeps out. “My friends are dicks.”
Eddie just smiles at him. “Not anymore.”
Steve grins back, even though it stings. “Not anymore.”
“Still bleeding?” Eddie asks, inclining his head towards Steve’s lip. “You feeling dizzy at all? Maybe I should escort you to the nurse.”
Steve grins as Eddie does. “I think you might be right,” he says. “How many fingers’re you holding up, six?”
“Doesn’t sound right,” Eddie says seriously. “Might need to get you checked out.”
“Probably so,” Steve agrees. “Might need you to walk me back to class after.”
Eddie put a hand to his chest. “I wouldn’t dream of doing anything differently!”
They collapse in giggles, Steve quickly sobering with a hiss when it re-opens the wound. “Dammit,” he mutters.
Eddie looks around then quietly asks, “Need me to kiss it better?”
Steve inhales sharply, studying Eddie for a second. “I think so,” he whispers. “Might be the only thing that helps it now.”
Eddie smiles nervously and steps forward. “We’ll have to be quick,” he says apologetically. “No one should come in, but…”
“We never know,” Steve agrees. “I know.”
“Okay then,” Eddie says, and steps forward, placing a few soft fingers on Steve’s cheek, tilting his head down just a bit until their lips brush, once, twice, three times until Steve’s had enough and puts a gentle hand on the back of Eddie’s neck, exerting just enough pressure to pull him in the rest of the way.
Immediately his eyes slide shut and he tilts his head to slot their lips together perfectly.
And it really is perfect, he thinks, as he tilts his head the other way, smiling when Eddie moves to follow him.
He pulls back with a gasp and grins when Eddie’s eyes flutter open. “You’re dangerous,” he murmurs, loving the smirk that curves Eddie’s lips up.
“Me?” Eddie asks. “I think you’re describing yourself.”
Steve suddenly giggles. “We’re doing a terrible job of waiting.”
Instead of laughing along, Eddie’s expression shutters. “Sorry,” he murmurs, tilting his head down and taking a step back. “I shouldn’t have asked.”
“Hey, no,” Steve says, reaching out and brushing Eddie’s arm with his fingers. “I wanted that, okay? I could’ve said no and you would’ve respected it. I’m not upset about it at all. I, uh, actually wish we weren’t somewhere as public as we are.” He blushes at the admission and Eddie’s raised brow in response.
“Yeah? You gonna take me home? Show me the full Harrington experience?”
“Shit, man,” Steve laughs, “what experience, I’ve never been with a guy before.”

The doors of Jackson rarely opened, besides when patrol happened. And when they did for another reason, two things usually happened: gossiping and great news.
Well, not always. But for most of the time, that’s how it worked. For Joel, it didn’t matter a lot. Ever since he came back to Jackson with Ellie, he had changed. Well, again, not a lot. He remained serious, reserved, and a man of few words. Except with Ellie, he hadn’t accepted it out loud, but he was some paternal figure to the kid.
And the maternal figure was long gone; You.
A young sweet woman who appeared in Kansas looking for medicines. Who made Ellie happier and safer until she gained Joel’s trust.
And who made him almost fall in love.
Almost, because you decided to abandon Ellie and ignore what Joel pleaded you to do; take Ellie to the Fireflies along Tommy the first time you three came to Jackson.
That night, Ellie cried and yelled at him, but she was beyond angry with you. She called you a liar, weak, selfish, and other hurtful things. Then Joel also let his rage out on you. He said a lot of things, but saying you weren’t brave, and that he should’ve never trusted you…that kept reminiscing in his head occasionally. Maybe he could’ve handled everything better, but that didn’t change anything.
The next morning, when you came to the stable to say goodbye, you left a mess of sobs and tears.
Two words finally shattered you; shameless coward.
And the two ignored something for months till the present; They never gave you the chance to explain what was happening.
When they came back, you were gone. Joel didn’t ask, and neither did Ellie.
They both questioned it, especially the girl.
Joel rarely thought about you. But when he did, he spent hours at it.
Questioning would’ve, could’ve, should’ve.
He missed you, but he wasn’t brave enough to admit it. Instant karma, he was a coward who couldn’t admit what he did in that Fireflies hospital, and he couldn’t accept how wrong he acted with you.
He didn’t feel that karma yet.
Until the doors of Jackson opened. And among some group of people, you came in.
Tommy knew everything. He even tried speaking with his older brother that snowy morning. But Joel didn’t want to hear your excuses from the mouth of Tommy.
With a simple glance from him, Joel was left alone as he saw his younger brother walk towards the group of people who had arrived.
Some of the crowd came to greet the new visitors, Joel saw Maria helping you get down off the horse. And he finally was able to see you.
Time hadn’t passed across your face. You remained with a sweet and gentle smile. The very short hair you had now was a shock. Joel had been used to your long braid from every hard day you spent together. He remembered a night where you were cold and he offered to join him in his sleeping bag. You apologized for your braid getting in his way, but he said it was okay.
When did everything go wrong? 10 months and seeing you again made him feel strange.
There wasn’t time to think about Joel or Ellie when you arrived.
To you, their present parade was unknown.
So unknown, that you were in the same town as them once again.
“You didn’t answer our radio signals for months. We were so worried!” It’s the first thing Maria says. You can only smile and shrug.
“I’m really sorry. Jeremy and Lia lost connection in a little fight with infected, and they couldn’t risk anything” A lot had happened. And you felt so empowered from having the guts to leave for so long.
“Oh. God knows everything that happened out there, right?”
“We have a lot to talk about. Where’s Tommy?” You ask smiling. Then you make some minutes to appreciate how much the town had changed over seasons. The trees had turned orange, red and brown. The smell in the main entrance was like cinnamon and caramel apples. And there were a lot of fall decorations. When you turn back, Tommy Miller is there to greet you.
“Right here!” The man appears and you have to greet him with a hug.
“You look great, kid. So, did it work?” There’s a big wave of happiness that invades as soon as he asks.
“Yes, I’m free from it” the marriage sighs relieved.
“Guess it was worth it,” Maria says patting your shoulder.
“Take a rest now. We’ll talk about everything in dinner” you agree with Tommy.
You want to ask if he has heard something from Joel. If he succeeded with Ellie to go with the Fireflies. But you don’t. You’re not ready to hear if he found something. Whether it was a home, happiness, or a lover.
Cause although neither of you ever talked about it. You never confessed your feelings for him. He never showed a sign that he might have loved you back. So no, you were no fool to ask that question to Tommy. Same thing for Ellie. You never revealed you loved her like a sister or even a daughter. You never admitted that for many months. You had acted along with Joel and the girl like a little family.
No, it wasn’t acting. They had genuinely been your family.
But that era was over.
You made your choice. And you still believed you were right. There was only one mistake you made.
Revealing the news to them first and then never being able to share the cause of it. Breaking that little girl’s heart and letting down Joel. It still haunts you.
But the time to go over that was approaching.
It wasn’t snowing time yet. But the temperatures were about to drop significantly. Enough for a jacket and sweaters.
There was a pair of heel boots you left in that little house Maria and Tommy offered you before leaving the town.
So, it was time to show off that pair of boots.
The way to the dinner hall was short. Some people greet you and ask how you’re doing now. It feels like rebirthing. Being able to have a second chance in life. But the memory of your little family gone and broken because of you makes you stop that little celebration of life early.
Someone must be doing gravy. Because it smells like Thanksgiving, in the middle of October. Some people are in a little line to get warm punch with cinnamon and fruits. Your mouth waters and a smile appears on your face.
You want to eat and laugh. You are eager to talk to Tommy and Maria.
The first couple with mercy who took the time to listen to you and help you.
An old woman who had been in the kitchen since you arrived for the first time smiles at you and asks you to grab a tray of food.
When you turn to the right to have some food, you are literary punched in the face.
At least that’s how it felt. Because that same night you had to encounter face to face with the two ghosts of your past; Joel and Ellie.
With you being static, they notice you finally.
Ellie shows clear shock, but soon she makes the sign of shock disappear from her face. Deep down, she wanted to hug you, she wanted to tell you everything that happened. But she refuses.
Joel wasn’t ready to see you so close that soon. But he remains stoic as usual.
“Ellie…” you attempt to vocally recognize her.
She firmly holds her tray, empty, and somehow, she still looks angered at you. Which makes you nervous.
And you don’t dare to look at Joel in the eyes, so you avoid it.
“You’re back…” she spits out. And you have some hope that she will be willing to listen to you.
“Yes. I had to go because-” she rolls her eyes.
“I didn’t say I cared, or I wanted to listen” That hurt a little. Ellie could be very tough, and you really had hoped she would try to talk.
“Oh…I-” but she stops you again.
“What? You thought we would be friends again? Let me remind you… YOU abandoned me and Joel!” The lump in your throat gets tighter, but you swallow it firmly.
“Please, I’ve never explained it” you suggest, but Ellie seems too proud and stubborn as usual.
“Oh, save it. We’ve been through enough shit to listen to you too” If Joel wanted, he would’ve scold her, but he didn’t. Which hurt you even more.
The girl leaves her used tray in the dirty dishes and leaves.
You want to drop the tray when you finally eye Joel.
He looks better. Same grey hairs in the same spots. You were so glad to see him healthy, but this wasn’t what you imagined it would be the first re-encounter.
“Joel-” you try to reason with him. He wants to savor the way you gently call him. It makes him remember all the good memories he made with you. All the nights you made him smile, when you annoyed him with Ellie, and the nights were he was able to hold you a little.
But that’s over. You are not a priority anymore. Just Ellie.
“She’s right, though” and just like that, he also left. Without even glancing at you, barely brushing your shoulder with his. It was cold… and it hurt like hell.
The old lady at the counter smiles apologetically at you, and you smile back. She sees some tears rolling down your cheeks but doesn’t say anything.
A week passes between awkward exchanges. You are babysitting Tommy and Maria’s baby when Joel arrives to visit his brother. So, you had to leave early.
You started working in the garden, helping to harvest enough for the cold season. So, when kids would join once a week to help, Ellie would ignore you.
And when it was movie night, you were having fun until Ellie arrived with her new friends. Or when you were having a drink in the saloon and Joel had to be there. You catch him staring once in a while and it freaks you out.
You debate whether to write an apology letter or do something for them. Because you feel like you can’t be happy at all when things haven’t gone through makeup with them.
But it all comes down one afternoon.
The council of the town suggested having a Halloween celebration. With a costume party and pumpkin contest. So you needed extra help with the harvest.
Maria had set up some people, including Joel and Ellie. It was a low key moment to have some opportunity to get you three together.
You were digging your hands in the dirt to take out carrots and green onions. There’s a little hat covering your head, and you have to use some tools to work.
Completely ignoring but highly aware of Joel and Tommy talking afar, continuously turning to look at you and then going back to talk.
To be honest, that was the first day when you started getting tired of their mean attitudes toward you. Their mean glances, cold comments and sarcastic hints.
Some people left their baskets beside you so you could later wash the vegetables and take them to the kitchen.
And it was Ellie’s turn.
“Here’s the basket” she coldly says.
“Thanks, leave it here. And be careful, please” She noticed your cold tone attack back, and it surprised her. But also bothers her and makes her grow more stubborn.
“Whatever you say” Maybe Ellie didn’t mean to drop the basket so harshly. But she does, dropping all the vegetables and others from different baskets too.
“ELLIE! I told you to be careful!” A lot of people turn to look at you and the girl.
“I said I was sorry, stop fucking yelling.”
Joel appears beside her. Ready to fuck everything up even more.
“Hey! Don’t yell at her” When Joel raises his voice at you, you freeze.
“She’s a kid. You’re an adult” You know it’s enough when he continued.
“ENOUGH!” Finally, everyone’s attention is on you three again.
“Calm down, y/n” Tommy tries to calm you, but you won’t rest in peace till you yell back at them.
“NO. I’M SICK OF THESE TWO!” Ellie immediately regretted being so stubborn, she remembered you could also be as mean as her.
“How many times do I have to say it? I’m so fucking sorry. I didn’t want to abandon you two.”
“And no. I’m not a selfish coward. Because I was diagnosed with anemia, and I was fucking dying. So, choosing to stay to fight for my life wasn’t being coward.” Neither of them expected it.
“I’m done with this psychological punishment or whatever.” You finally take the gardening gloves out, looking so enraged.
“…y/n” Joel calls you, knowing that he can’t startle you more.
“You don’t want me to yell at your bratty kid? Do it your fucking self, Joel” he’s taken aback by the way you push the gloves against his chest, passing past him and sprinting out.
The man sighs, holding the gloves and looking at Tommy, who only shrugs. Knowing that it would end up happening either way.
Joel learns a lot of things that night.
You started feeling sick a little before arriving in Jackson. You never tell him or Ellie because you three had already other problems. And by the time you met Maria and spent an afternoon with her, you had fainted in the shower.
The doctor said you were likely suffering from anemia. With the lack of food, strong menstruation, and low blood pressure, you had been carrying with it for months, but as usual, there was a breakpoint.
The doctor suggested you go to another town where you could get iron injections, so you agreed. But that meant having to separate from Ellie and Joel.
Tommy showed him some pictures the doctor took of you to show as references for the other doctors.
You had giant bruises on the back of your legs, with yellow, green, and purple shades.
It cracked Joel. Hearing Tommy say how you cried to him and Maria how you never meant to hurt Ellie or Joel. That you loved them two as your family, finally made Joel’s eyes get crystallized.
You left around early spring, some weeks before he came back with Ellie. And for a long period, as you left with other people of Jackson, nobody had news. Until you appeared looking better.
“I fell in love with her, brother” Joel admitted. Even when forever, he said you were younger, that things would never work out.
“Why didn’t you let her explain?” Joel sighed, drinking a deeper shot of alcohol.
“I was so mad, that she was leaving Ellie behind. I just- Why she didn’t also ever say a thing about being sick? I would have given everything for her.” Tommy smiled sadly.
“That’s why. She didn’t want to worry you. I-… I think she also loved you, Joel” The man closed his eyes and imagined what could’ve been. Maybe you two would be okay if things had happened differently.
“Tell Ellie. Then go with y/n and let everything out. This is your chance, brother. Be happy, love and rest now” Joel nodded slowly.
He had one chance…
Jackson looked beautiful decorated with pumpinks and dry leaves everywhere.
The streets are literally empty because everyone must have already been at the party. There’s a gorgeous sunset painting the town, and you can’t wait to walk across the street with sunset.
You know you’re late. As much as you can, you hurry to get out of the house. Maria and your other friends got you a Dorothy costume from The Wizard of Oz. You had another pair of red boots, and everything ended up fitting perfectly. You looked pretty, with your everyday chain in your neck, red lips, and half-braid hairstyle.
At the end of the stairs to your door, Joel and Ellie are there.
“Oh no.” you sigh. Completely calmed, opposite of your outburst in prior weeks.
“Please, just leave me alone now. I’m over this. I won’t take any of you bitching around me” you spit locking the door from outside.
“Look, we didn’t know-“ Ellie starts, but now you interrupt her.
“No, neither of you knew anything. I can tell you both struggled after I stayed here. But I don’t wanna know either, I realized I’m grateful now, even if that meant losing you two” The way you said it, and how you locked your eyes with Joel’s, he knew what you meant.
“Both of you can rest now knowing I’m at peace with my decision. I know what I did, and I’m proud of myself. Both of you were wrong, I’m not weak, I never was” They can choose any words quickly before you leave.
This is not the last shot Joel will give to have you back. He promises it as he watches you walking peacefully across the street.
You don’t look back. You feel some relief, this is a new era. After months drowning in guilt, wondering if you really were that much of an evil woman to abandon them. But now, you know you’re clean from them.

A/n: Chapter 4 is finally here!
TW: gore, Violence, near death experience
chapter 3
Chapter 4: Nastja
You stood beside the other Maids in Sukuna’s throne room. Your legs were aching from standing three-hours long on the same spot.
Sukuna sat on his throne tapping on the arm rest out of boredom.
This is new, normally Sukuna would have his way with the other maids either torturing them or fucking them like a rabbit in heat.
You were quite happy that he didn’t find you Interesting enough to share a bed with you.
You’re after all just the Butler, one of few.
You looked around the room hoping it will let the time move faster. You all were nervous. You could feel the fear and tension lingering across the air.
watching this monster sitting calm on his throne, knowing exactly what he has done and what he is going to do. It made you angry. Oh, you hate him so much.
He knows it. He knows how much you hate him. He watched you, and made you suffer so many times. It gave him pleasure, a type of pleasure he never tasted in a long time since the last great war.
He wants more, more of you struggling with him. More of your plea that are heard just by him. It filled his cold heart with pleasure and desire. Desire to destroy more of your white painted world view.
He got a taste of it and now can’t get enough.
He tapped on a skull, thinking ways how to play with his little plaything. His eyes darted across the room and landed on you. He finds it amusing how you looked across his throne room with eyes of hate and disgust, it made him chuckle in content.
The hate towards him and this damned lands, it excites him in every wrong way. His heart ached and clenched with pleasure. He started thinking of ways to turn those eyes of hate into a dark depression, he can’t wait to destroy you completely.
The image made him licked his lips, as if he could already get a small taste of you and your sadness, anger, and despair. It excites him.
The door opened with a loud bang which echoed through the room. Your both attentions quickly shifted towards the Intruder.
A young Man stepped forward his hair flowing with the rhythm of the cold air, to your surprise he was almost dancing towards Sukuna.
He doesn’t look like a monster nor demon. His skin had a greyish undertone and his body had couple of stitches, he was also pretty small compared to Sukuna.
“Sukuna!” He shouted, which surprised you. ‘Do you want to die, little boy?’ You thought, he must be brave to talk to your Master that way.
Sukuna groaned.
His bored expression changed into an annoying one.  “Mahito.” He sneered, he’s pretty disgusted by the sight of him.
“What are you doing here you little imp.” Sukuna popped the p from imp. The guy called Mahito started to laugh, “I went on a Mission, you sent me, and this is the thanks I get?” His tone was playful, but his eyes told a different story.
“I hoped that you’d die on that Mission.” Sukuna bit back, he swayed his hand commanding that you all should leave these two alone.
Not with another thought you left quickly, it is a gift that you could leave this disgusting room of him.
Your luck was held short.
On the way towards your chamber, there was Nastja, great. She leaned on your door looking at her long nails and swayed them from side to side.
She heard your footsteps and her face shifted towards your direction. “There you are. I’ve waited for you.” You raised your brows, “Never thought that the bitch would ever wait for me.” It was really surprising. You rarely see her in this side of the Castle.
“Don’t you dare to call me the Bitch. I’m not the one who needs help all the time from our Master.” The way she talked to you was pissing you off a little bit, but you got to stay calm. So, you shrugged her off pushing her aside to go to your chamber.
The Bitch Nastja didn’t even waste a second thought and lunged at you with a feral growl. You both fell on the ground making you grunt at the impact. She targeted your hair and pulled harshly on them.
Adrenaline pumped through your whole system, your body started to feel hot, and your heart started to beat fast.
Your face turned towards your attacker. You punched her right in the face making her fall back.
You hissed as your hair was being pulled back at her force. She started to smirk heavily seeing the hurt in your expression. You laughed at her, “Did you really think a little hair tug would seriously injure me?” The question burned in Nastja’s mind, and her smile vanished.
“You’ll regret that.” Her smirk was back at her annoying face, what did she plan?
Something shiny in her hands caught your attention,
“A knife?” Her laughing echoed through your room, “Who’s laughing now?” now that’s dangerous, one wrong move and she could damage you very bad.
She ran towards you swaying the knife wild around without any control nor scheme. She was screaming and her eyes didn’t even show any humanity anymore. And it scared you.
Frantic you tried to dodge all her attacks, which was hard, sometimes it even broke skin. A cut on your cheek, Arm, or chest. You backed away trying to find a way out, no success.
“Do you really think you can come here and play an important role? You saw what happened with your dear friend.” She laughed. The knife in her hand targets your neck, you moved away but to late. She sliced deep on the side of your neck. Your leg got stuck between your nightstand and the closet making you fall to the ground.
You tried to stop the bleeding.
Your hand pressed on the injury on your neck.
Pressing hard. It hurts, so bad.
Your breathing was hard, and the blood that started to fill your lungs making it hard to breath.
You coughed blood, trying to get even a whiff of air that was surrounding you two. The blood colored your white carpet in a crimson deep red.
Nastja’s eyes seemed to be in a panic spell and pleasure. “I did it.” She laughed loud “I fucking did it!” She jumped around, your vision started to get blurry.
Stay awake, stay awake.
Your heart ached and tears started to burn their way through your eyes.
I can’t die here.
While your attacker was celebrating her success, the knife fell out of her hand, the sound of metal and wood crashing together ringed in your ears.
The knife.
It was colored in fresh red, it’s like you can hear the slicing of meat and skin getting sliced into pieces. Everything around you started to blend in each other, everything except the knife.
The ringing became more Violent making you grasp your head. The unbearable pain of the whispers and ringing makes you want to scream.
Take….
Shaking your head in despair trying to filter the voices out. “Please stop..” It was a bare whisper. Nastja swung her head to the side, looking at you in rage. “You still can talk...” Her eyes showed rage but also somewhere in those crazy eyes there was pity.
It indeed was scary and a horrible sight to see you crouching and leaning onto the ground, clutching your head. You were shaking uncontrollable.
Blood started dripping down from your neck and noises of your mere plea rang in Nastja’s ears.
“Hey! Stop that…” A useless attempt.
A piercing scream made Nastja shriek. Blood starts to drop out of your mouth, the neck wound showing its effects.
Your whole body starts to burn and pulsate.
Take it…
You wanted it to stop. The iron taste in your mouth made you open your mouth slightly, to get rid of that nasty taste. Make it stop, please. Nastja wanted to run, her mind was screaming at her to move. Regards of all attempts, her body didn’t move. As if she was hypnotized.
Let go…
The burning feeling shifted towards her neck, the pain softly fades away, and everything went black.
Your body shifts under the futon, making you aware of how heavy your body feels. It felt like you lifted tons of heavy weight.
You groaned when you sat up, rubbing your sore eyes. “What happened?” you can’t remember, it was all a messy blurr. Nastja and you were fighting, and then everything went black. “My neck?!” You quickly touched the once Injured neck, realizing that the wound is gone.
“How?”
“What happened, Nastja?”  His voice was chilling, making Nastja shake in fear.
He scoffed. It’s taking way too long of his liking. “She- I-“Sukuna raised his eyebrow, “I’m not a fool imp.”
Now it was a threat, he was getting impatient. “Master Sukuna, I didn’t say that you’re a fool.” He laughed bitterly, “Then answer my question. What. Happened?” Her breath hitched. “We had a little Disagreement.” She closed her eyes, fearing the backlash.
“A little?” He laughed, “How can a little disagreement, almost kill somebody.” The sarcasm was spilling in his voice.
His fist clenched around a bone, making it crack under the force of his merciless hand.
Nastja hadn’t seen her Sukuna this mad before, why is he so Angry about a bitch? “I’m sorry.” Apologizing, it felt embarrassing.
She fiddled with the hem of her kimono.
Crack.
The bone shattered into many pieces, Nastja’s breath hitched out of fear.
“Your Majesty!” the door sprung open revealing Mahito in all his shine. With a swift movement of his hand the guards took Nastja away into her chamber.
Nastja was more than relieved that the white guy saved her from her misery.
“What now?” He asked Mahito not very pleased that the man infront of him came back. “I have good news!” Sukuna hums, signaling Mahito to continue.
“That Woman, Y/n right? She’s awake and it seems that something inside of her starts to awaken. Something not human. If you’d allow us to do more research about this unknown power. We could-“
A zip sound was the only thing Mahito could hear before unbearable pain spread on his Arm. His stare moved from his Master down towards his arm. Or rather where the Arm Should be.
“You’ll not lay a hand on my little plaything you freak. Let this be a warning.”
Not human? That will be Interesting.

Hi cate, i rlly love your writing. I was wondering if you could di a blurb in virgin!reader relentlessly teasing Spence about how he probably isn’t even that good at sex and is probably small and he proves her wrong pls pls pls its been on my mind for so long😵‍💫
Tumblr media
THIS !! but it's him ^^ because his short fuse is 10/10 also i didn't write this as virgin reader, because i wanted it to be rough, I hope that's okay <3
By the time truth or dare is being played, you're drunk, with enough shots and cocktails in your system that you're bold enough to say just about anything.
You're standing around a high table, holding the bench to avoid swaying too much, when Luke suggests truth or dare. Tara jumps in on it, and before anyone can stop to think about consequences or too much personal information being shared about co-workers, all of you are playing.
"Spencer, truth or dare?" Luke asks him, a few rounds in.
"Truth." He takes the seemingly easier option.
"What's your body count?" He asks with a grin, mostly because it earns a giggle from Penelope.
Spencer frowns. "Like people I've killed?" He clarifies.
"People you've slept with." JJ corrects after all of you laugh.
"Oh, like five. Wait, six." He counts, less concentrated after some whiskey.
You snort loudly, only aware you have a varying opinion from everyone else when all eyes are on you. "What? Do you guys seriously think he's had sex with more than one person?" You stare at him, profiling him. "Maybe two, tops."
"Damn, kid," Rossi speaks first, everyone else too gobsmacked to say anything. "You don't pull any punches."
Luke hoots with laughter. "She's calling you out, man."
When you brave a glance at Spencer, he doesn't look embarrassed. He just looks pissed, jaw clenched, and eyes narrowed, and you're not going to deny it, but it's attractive.
You're determined to push him further. "It's probably small too." You add, holding up your hands two inches apart.
That only increases the volume of everyone howling with laughter, and it gives Spencer the chance to lean down and whisper in your ear. "Second door on the left of the right hallway, five minutes." He says abruptly, voice lower than usual.
You're too stunned to say anything, and something about how magnetic he is attracts you to go. So in four minutes, you're excusing yourself to the bathroom.
He's already in the bedroom when you get there, arms crossed over his chest. Clearly, his anger didn't dissipate.
"Hey, Spence." You greet him casually, closing the door behind you. "Bring me in here to prove to me that it's tiny?"
"Shut up." He tells you, stepping closer until your toes are almost touching. "Just shut the fuck up."
The next words out of your mouth surprise you more than they surprise him. He is a profiler, after all. "Make me." You say.
His lips are so close to you that it takes a millisecond for him to be kissing you, practically shoving his tongue down your throat. His hands are all over your face, pulling you closer to him with his large fingers wrapped around the base of your neck. It's sloppy and wet, and really fucking hot.
It's a flurry to get your clothes off, both of you pulling apart after a long, passionate kiss, your thoughts tracking to the same place. They lay discarded on the floor as he pushes you onto the mattress, wasting no time getting inside you.
"Fuck, you must have watched some porn because you know what you're doing." You tease, made a little bit more difficult with his deep thrusts.
He growls against your neck. "Real-life experience, sweetheart." He whispers before biting at your skin.
"Don't- fuck- believe you." You retort.
"Can't even argue with me without moaning, huh?" Spencer asks before tutting, "pathetic." You wiggle closer, rolling your hits with him. "Like right now, I can tell you need more."
You scoff, but it's more of a moan. "Are you going to give it to me then?"
Spencer picks your thighs up, wrapping them over his shoulder and thrusting even deeper inside of you. "God, if I knew it would be this easy to shut you up, I would have done this a long time ago."
"You just never had the balls." You tell him.
"Got them now, don't I?" He reminds you, slamming into you. You can feel yourself getting closer, and he knows it too by your clenching around him. "Want to cum?" He offers.
You nod frantically. "Please." You babble. It's desperate, but when he fucks you so well, you can't help it.
"Tell me it's big." He demands.
"Fuck, Spencer, it's big. I'm sorry, it's so big, and you're really good at this." You say quickly, not wanting him to move the goalpost on your orgasm.
His fingers quickly circle your clit, and you're coming in no time, triggering his release on your stomach when he pulls out.
"So?" He asks once he's flopped down on the bed next to you. "Was it actually okay?"
"Phenomenal." You assure him, dragging your finger through his cum on your skin. "I'm eating my words."
He chuckles at your idiom. "You're cute, you know?" He tells you sincerely and affectionately. "I can make you eat more of your words if you like."
You nod. "I would like that."

Howling wind roared against the windows. It was cold and dark outside, with swirling flakes of ice dancing with the air and falling in neat piles which quickly covered the ground. You were grateful to be cozied up under mounds of your favorite blankets and a cup of steaming hot tea. The one thing that didn’t let you totally relax was the fact Jordan hadn’t made it back to your dorm yet.
They had volunteered to brave the common room to try and find some hot chocolate, a must in this weather. However, she had been gone for over an hour and there wasn’t any news.
“Fuck!” A loud voice filled the room as the door was wrenched open and standing in all their glory was Jordan. You laughed in relief before bounding up from your cocoon on the bed. Just as you were about to embrace her into a hug you had the realization that Jordan was covered from head to toe in snow.
“Jordan, honey, what did you do?” You asked in both an admonishing and worried tone. They didn’t even head out with proper winter gear! She was literally wearing a leather jacket and a knitted scarf!
“I- well, you seemed so happy at the mention of hot chocolate and I couldn’t find any in the common room so I decided to go to Luke’s-” You interrupted their mini rant with a short laugh before throwing yourself into their arms, not caring about the fact your pajamas would probably be all soaked through now.
“I fucking love you so much, but you really didn’t have to do all that for me, sweetheart.”
“Of course I did, darling. Plus the mission was successful.” Jordan exclaimed as she pulled out a can of some very fancy hot chocolate from the pocket of their leather jacket. “Luke said that Vought sends their regards.”
You both laugh at that before you place a kiss on their lips, which felt like kissing an ice cube.
“Shit, Jordan. Let’s get you out of these clothes. You’re freezing!”
“Aww take me out to dinner first, darling.” Jordan said with a smirk, making you softly smack her shoulder before you started to pull off different layers of clothing.
Once you had both changed into fresh pairs of pajamas, matching ones of course, you settled back into your little nest of blankets. However, this time holding large mugs filled to the brim with hot chocolate which smelled and ended up tasting like heaven.
Your legs were entwined with Jordan’s and quickly tried to warm them up with fleeting kisses to his neck. Something which was probably more of an indulgence than an actually helpful action.
‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ was playing softly in the background, it was already thirty minutes in but you carefully rewinded it so Jordan didn’t miss anything.
As the movie continued you could feel your eyelids starting to drop a few minutes after you had finished your hot chocolate. The movie, the thick chocolate and the solid warmth that was Jordan was quickly easing you into dreamland.
“Darling?” Jordan quietly asked as they pulled you closer to them and brushed his soft fingers against the skin of your cheek.
“Hmmm.”
“Are you falling asleep on me?”
“Noooo.” You murmured before cuddling closer to them, an act that was basically impossible at that point.
“Mmmhh, go to bed darling. I’ll be here when you wake up.”
“Promise?”
“I promise.” Jordan laughed out before placing a kiss on your forehead. You started to feel the weight of drowsiness really settle in at that moment that you almost missed the phrase Jordan uttered out.
“I love you.”
“Love you too.” You sleepily slurred out, you fell asleep to the sound of Jordan’s twinkling laugh. The perfect sound to end the night. A sound that you hoped to hear next to your ear forever.

June
"Sshh, sshh. It's okay, it's okay." Mat's soft voice woke you from a short, but deep sleep. You turned as your eyes fluttered open to see him sat up against the headboard soothing your baby girl. "I'm here. You're okay."
Your hand reached up to cradle her tiny head. "She might be hungry. What time is it?"
"Almost four. It hasn't been that long since you last fed her. But look, she's already falling back asleep." His smile grew and you sat up as well to see her eyes slowly closing. "She's so cute."
"She is." You kissed her head and then leaned against Mat's shoulder. "And so big. One month already."
"It went by so fast. I don't want her to grow up."
The last month since you baby girl, Myla, was born was the most stressful and tiring but also the most beautiful and exciting time. The new sleeping schedule was difficult to adjust to and your recovery was harder than expected. People really should talk about it more. But getting to experience both you and Mat become parents and your baby explore the world was indescribable. She already outgrew her newborn sized clothes and loved being awake looking around the room. She loved sleeping in her stroller while you took her on walks, where you and Mat stopped to get ice cream or coffee. Both of your families had come to visit, too, and of course all of your friends. They loved her and you were so grateful for the amazing support system.
Mat's season had ended a couple of days after Myla's birth, but not after his birthday which you unfortunately had to spend apart. But he was home now and took such good care of the both of you. Although the three of you did spend a lot of time in bed, you made it a goal to go outside for walks at least a few times a week. Your family didn't live far so they were able to visit and you even went to visit them a few times when you felt brave enough to leave the house.
"Oh, my god!" Mats voice brought you back to consciousness. You hadn't realized you were falling back asleep on his shoulder until his voice brought you back.
"What?"
"She pooped. Did you not hear that? That was gr– Oh! Ew! Babe, it's leaking out." He started panicking, then gagged as he held her away from his body. "What do I do? What do I do?"
You laughed, falling back into the pillows as you watched him struggle for what his next move should be. "Babe! This is so gross! Help me!"
"Well, go change her!" You watched him, still laughing, as he carried her with extended arms, trying not to gag again. "It doesn't even smell. There's only one baby in this room and it's not her."
He started undressing her, groaning from the mess she had made. "Oh my god, it's everywhere. How? How is her stomach so big to hold that much?"
You got up to see for yourself, making sure beforehand to take a video of Mat trying to handle this situation. "Yeah, we should give her a bath. That is pretty bad."
"It's the middle of the night!"
"So? She's dirty." You laughed patting him on the shoulder. "Welcome to parenthood."
At one month old, babies couldn't laugh yet, but the noises she made could definitely count as it. So you prepped her bathtub. She was small enough to do it in the sink, so it didn't take long to fill the tub with the right temperature water. When Mat put her in, she started screaming. She hated baths for the most part, but unfortunately she had to get through it. She calmed down after a while, enjoying the little massage you were giving her to get her clean. Mat put his arm around you and kissed the top of your head.
"You know, a year ago I definitely would not have imagined us doing this at 4 a.m., but I wouldn't change it for the world."
July
"Ugh, she's so cute."
"So adorable."
"Her little nose. And those cheeks."
"I love her so much," you said, not being able to look up from where your daughter was sleeping in her stroller. You stood around her with Mat's sister and mother, just staring at her. You were supposed to go on a walk to go get lunch, but for some reason (a very cute and sleeping reason) you still hadn't left yet.
"Me, too. Watch out I might steel her," Liana said jokingly. She hugged you tightly. "Thank you for making me an auntie. I thought I'd have to wait for years."
"You almost had to." You didn't want to call your daughter an accident, because she truly was a blessing, but let's not pretend you were trying to become parents. You both tried to contain your laughs, as their mother was right there.
"Okay, let's go," Nadia broke you two up and took ahold of the stroller, before walked out of the house. You followed her, Liana fighting her mother for the right to push the stroller.
A couple days ago, Mat, Myla, and you made it up to Vancouver to spend a few weeks with his family. Myla just turned two months a few days ago and you finally felt comfortable enough to fly with her. A lot of family and friends came over to see her, but things had finally calmed down a bit.
"So, any wedding plans?," Liana asked, after you had made it to the restaurant and the food arrived.
You raised your eyebrows, a small laugh escaping. "How long have you been waiting to ask me that?" She laughed. "Since last time!" And that was about a year ago when you had told her you were pregnant. Mat shut her down immediately, saying you'd wait until after she was born. "Well...?"
"I don't know," you answered. "We haven't really thought about it."
"Oh, come on. You need to get married! For her and for me!" You laughed and her mother elbowed her. "What? I know it's selfish, but please! It would be the most beautiful wedding, I just know it."
She started gushing about her dream wedding for you, detailing everything from flowers to venue to table cloths. Her mother chimed in, equally as excited about the idea. Normally you would have been too, but for some reason the idea of a big wedding didn't seem exciting to you anymore.
And that's what you told Mat later that night when you were ready to go to sleep while feeding Myla. "Your sister, well and mom, are already making wedding plans, just so you know."
He rolled his eyes. "How many times have I told them it's none of their business?"
Myla was done eating, so you handed her over to Mat so he could burp her. "It's fine. It was kind of fun to talk about and see everything we could come up with. But funnily enough, all my life I've dreamed of a big wedding like that, even just a few months ago I would have agreed to it. But now, I don't know, I don't really want that anymore."
"Really?" You looked up at his green eyes.
"Yeah, I don't know. I'd rather have a small thing, with just family and our closest friends. And baby Myla of course."
"That sounds good to me." He leaned to kiss your forehead with a smile and cradled your baby's head.
"Wanna get married? Might as well, we already have a kid." You said it with a laughing tone, expecting him to laugh as well or brush the topic off like you had done since he first asked you about getting married. But he didn't. He jumped out of bed, put Myla in her bassinet, and left the room.
You sat there, shocked. You didn't expect that reaction as well. You were serious about getting married. A couple weeks after Myla had been born you realized that you were being silly before. Of course you wanted to marry him and you knew that he loved you and didn't stay with your just before the baby.
Thankfully, before you could process what just happened, Mat came back and sat back down next to you. "I'm the one that gets to ask that question!," he said, which is when you noticed the little red box in his hand. You mouth opened in shock. Now that, you definitely also didn't expect. "What? You really think I didn't got out and get you a ring after you said no the first time? Please, you can't get rid of me."
"Mat..." He smiled, cupping your cheeks with his big hands before kissing you softly.
"Baby? Do you want to marry me? I don't care about the big wedding anymore either. We literally could go down to city hall tomorrow and do it there. I don't care. I just want you and baby Myla. Now will you please do me the honor of not rejecting me for the millionth time and finally saying yes to being my wife?"
"You are such a jerk," you said as the tears rolled down your face. You were still pretty hormonal and you had a feeling it wouldn't go away. "But yes, I'll marry you."
"Finally." He pressed his lips against yours for a deep kiss that had you falling back against the mattress. But you couldn't fully enjoy the moment for very long, before baby Myla made herself known. You got her out and held her in your arms, soothing her, while Mat held you close to his body pressing tiny kissed against your head.
"Ok, let me see the ring," you whispered when your baby girl calmed and started drifting into sleep. Mat opened the box with a chuckle, as your moth fell open.
"Like it?" You nodded and held your hand out for him to slip the ring on. While it didn't fit as well as it would have pre-pregnancy, at least you were assured that it wouldn't randomly fall off. "Kind is weird that we're doing this at my parents house, but I'll take what I can get. It's your fault though."
"Wha- Why?"
"I was scared as hell to propose to you again. I didn't want to be rejected again."
"Mat, I didn't reject you. I just– I didn't want to get married while pregnant." He cupped your face again with a chuckle.
"I know, I know. I'm just joking." He kissed you over and over again, until you realized that Myla was asleep and you could put her back in her bed.
Mat pulled you on his chest as you both laid down. "Wait, were you kidding about city hall tomorrow?," you asked, keeping your voice low.
"Not really. You wanna do it?" You looked up at him and shrugged.
"Kind of." You both smiled wide. "But wait, no. My family. I want them there."
"Okay, well we could ask them to come here? Or would you rather wait and do it back in New York?"
"Here is good." You fell in love with Vancouver the minute you got out of the airport the first time you came, so getting married here was not an issue for you. "Yeah, I'll just ask my family and some friends if and when they'd be available to come up."
"Okay. We can just invite people and whoever can make it, can make it. If not, then we can always have another little something in New York." You nodded, excitement filling your body.
"But if we're inviting a bunch of people, we can't do it at city hall."
"There's lots of parks and venues around here."
"Or your parents back yard?" You both thought about it for a second, then Mat smiled.
"Yeah, i think they'd be cool with that."
You both giggled excitedly, then he pulled you fully on top of him. "Are we seriously getting married in a few days?"
"Unless you don't want to," you responded.
"You are never ever getting rid of me."
August 2nd
It was wedding day. After a crazy busy 10 days, the day was finally here.
When you had told Mat's family the news the day after you got engaged, they were very excited. His sister screamed so loud, she scared the baby but you couldn't go soothe her since she had you trapped in a massive bear hug. She immediately started planning and listing everything you would need. Everyone was involved in making flowers arrangements, cooking and baking for the party, and getting the house ready to host a wedding.
Your family got to Vancouver a few days before the wedding, also helping greatly. Once your best friends arrived as well, it was time to shop for a dress. While there wasn't much so last minute, you found the perfect simple little dress that you absolutely fell in love with. You even found a little white dress for Myla at a baby store near by.
"Thank you so much for coming." You hugged Sydney Martin tight, then her husband.
"Wouldn't miss this for the world." She smiled and you hugged her again. She had been very supportive and your closest friend during your pregnancy. Since she'd already been through it twice, and none of your friends had experience in that department, you spent a lot of time together. You were so grateful for her and were very thankful she could make it to your wedding.
While both you and Mat felt bad about getting married so last minute and therefore not having all of your friends present, having the ceremony now did feel right to the both of you. And that was all that mattered. And even still with short notice, a lot more of your friends than you expected could make it. With Mat's family, yours and your friends, your guest count was almost up to 50. So lots of people to celebrate your love, but still more intimate than a big wedding you almost had.
You spent the morning of you wedding setting up the tables and decorating everything. Around two, guests started arriving and since you treated this as more of a party, you had time to greet most everybody before having to get ready.
"Alright, time to get dressed." Liana came walking and grabbed your hand.
"Wait." Before she had a chance to pull you away, you turned to Mat to give him a kiss. He reciprocated with a smile. "See you on the other side."
"Love you." He winked, then slapped your ass, before turning back to his friend group.
You made another pit stop to grab your daughter from her grandparents to have her with you while you got ready. Your makeup base was done so all you added was some eyeshadow and eyeliner, while your best friend did your hair. Another friend made sure to take lots of pictures and videos of your day. You fed Myla one more time before handing her back off to your mom, who was going to watch her today so you and Mat could enjoy the day without worrying about her. Then it was time to put on your dress.
"Aw, babe, you look gorgeous."
"Stun-ning!"
Your closest girlfriends friends quickly came to hug and admire you, before posing for a few more pictures.
"Okay! Go time!" Liana, who basically acted as your wedding planner, called when it turned three o'clock. She pulled you into a quick hug. "Ready?"
You nodded, already on the verge of tears when reality started hitting you. You were about to marry your best friend.
"Good, because I am so ready to have you as my sister-in-law." She kissed your cheek and then started getting everyone ready and into position. You kissed your sleeping daughter one last time, then followed everyone downstairs to the backyard, where you were holding the ceremony and party.
Through the windows, you could see the garden beautifully decorated and everybody sitting outside waiting for it to start. You could also see Mat, standing below the flower arch at the end of the aisle, with his best friend and best man Anthony standing next to him as they talked and joked around.
Your mom walked out to find her seat and as soon as Mat saw Myla sleeping in her arms, his eyes lit up. He took her from your mom, gently as to not wake her, and pressed tiny kisses to her chubby cheeks. Your eyes got watery again, watching them and knowing that the overwhelming happiness you felt right now would not go away anytime soon.
The music got a bit louder which was your cue to head outside. Your bridesmaids walked before you, down the shirt aisle you had just helped built this morning. Then you followed, slowly, scared to trip, but not too slow as you were eager to get to Mat.
Mathew. Who looked even more handsome than you though possible, standing at the end of the aisle with that wide goofy grin of his. As you got closer though, you could see his eyes sparkling with tears.
"You look beautiful," he mouthed and stretched his hand out for you to take. You took it, immediately feeling calmer. You looked over to where Myla was sleeping in her carrier and with a reassuring nod from your mom that she was alright, you turned your full attention back to Mat.
And Anthony who in addition to being best man was also officiating your wedding. Over the past few years that you've known Beau, he also became one of your closest friends and you couldn't be happier to have him as Mylas goddaughter and now here to marry your number one best friend.
For the entirety of the ceremony, you felt like you were in a bubble. Only Mat and you. Holding hands. "When I look at the time we've been together,
I always have a smile on my face. Through all the ups and downs we've been through, the one thing that has remained constant is my love for you. The love I feel for you has gone from wild and free to me enjoying the little things about you like going for a walk, seeing your face across a breakfast table, and even changing disgusting poopy diapers in the middle of the night. Love you, My," he said after a pause. You both looked at her with a laugh, still sleeping in her carrier.
"We have years ahead of us but when I look at the years that has passed my heart grows with such love for you that I ache. You are the most amazing partner and the most amazing mama to Myla. You're it and nothing is gonna keep us apart. I love you and always will."
Thankfully, before Mat even began his speech your made of honor handed you a tissue or your makeup would be ruined by now by the tears streaming down your face. 'Love you,' you whispered as you held your hand to his cheek. He smiled, with a quivering lip, and whispered it back. He took your hand and slipped diamond covered ring on your finger. Then you cleared your throat a couple of times and prepared to speak.
"Maty, you're my best friend. Ever since you flashed me that goofy grin of yours, I was gone for you. And I am so lucky you chose me to be on your team. And I promise you that I will choose you as my teammate. I choose you again and again. At the start and finish of every single day, no matter the season no matter the year. I choose you to struggle and succeed with, to fight and make up with, to love and grow old with.
And while I may have to send you to the sin bin sometimes, just know that I'll always be on your side and you can always count on me.
Seeing you grow and become the best father to our newest team member has been the biggest blessing. I am so proud you of. I hope I can make you just as proud. I love you and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you."
With shaking hands, it was your turn to slip a ring on Mat's finger. You didn't hear another word until Beau said those magic words: 'you may now kiss your bride'. And he did. Those big hands grabbed the sides of your face and pulled you into him until your lips met. He started out softly, but soon enough he was breathlessly while your friends and family clapped and cheered in the background.
********
You were married. An indescribable feeling floated through you all day, every since you walked down the aisle. Your ring glistened in the Vancouver sun that was starting to set as you chatted with your friends. You friend circle had shrunk every since you found out you were pregnant, a lot of your friends keeping distance and not keeping in touch as much anymore. You didn't blame them. You were still very young and a lot of them weren't ready to settle down or even be surrounded by people that weren't able to go out and get drunk every weekend. You didn't blame them because it took you a few months too to adjust to the idea of being a mother, but it made you even more grateful for the few friends that did stick around. They made you feel so special and supported during your pregnancy and even now they were already the best aunties for baby Myla.
Out of the corner of your eye you saw Mat walking towards you, holding Myla. That sight would never not blow you away and make you feel all warm inside. "This little lady is hungry." He held her out to you and you welcomed her with with cuddles and lots of kisses.
"Where were you?," you asked him as you got ready to feed your daughter.
"I just went to change her. I saw my mom take her in, but I wanted to do it." He answered you puzzled expression, "What? I've barely seen her today. I just wanted to spend a few minutes with her."
Your heart warmed and you leaned into his shoulder. But your moment didn't last very long as the party was already in full swing and people kept coming over to talk to you. You went back to talking to your friends as Mat got pulled away by his.
After Myla was done eating, you decided to put her down for bed and once again tracked Mat down to let him know. "Hey, I'm putting her down." He was sitting with a bunch of his teammates that were able to make it out here who all fawned over baby Myla.
"Come on! Just let me hold her," Oliver whined, stretching his arms out, but Mat slapped them away.
"Absolutely not!" Most of his teammates got to hold her when you first introduced her to them, but Wally was not one of them. He joked around too much around her and was untrustworthy around babies. Those were Mat's words, not yours. He was obviously very protective of his daughter if he wouldn't let his own teammate hold her.
"I won't drop her! Please? Oh, see! She's looking at me," Wally tried again while the rest of you laughed.
"Yeah, she's trying to tell you to shut up. It's not happening." While he was mostly serious, there were joking tones in Mat's voice. You definitely thought they were all just messing with him, so you stayed out of it.
"Hey! Daddy Barz said no, so it's a no," the other Matt (with two Ts) chimed in in his best dad voice, to which your Mat gave him nod of his head.
"That's right."
You rolled your eyes at their banter. "Alright, I'm really putting her down now." Mat stood, but leaned down to where you were holding Myla in your arms so that he could kiss her little head over and over again.
"Good night, princess. I love you." Then he straightened and put his lips on your. "And I love you, wife."
"Love you more, husband."

💔And I'm so sorry that I failed you || Peter parker X DEAD ! GN! Reader
Summary: Peter visits Y/N's gravesite and tells them everything that they've missed since they've been gone.
Contents: dead reader, mentions of death, Peter couldn't save reader, hurt/no comfort, angst
Word Count: 1.1 k
--------------------
It was a perfectly gloomy day, clouds looming over New York City, the occasional drizzle falling down onto the people of the bustling city. Peter sighed, head pressed against the glass of the car window, flowers clutched in his hands resting in his lap. They were Y/n's favorite flowers, and he took them every time he visited them. Most of his visits were short, as he couldn't bring himself to stay there for more than a few minutes at a time, but today was different. Today was the one-year anniversary of their death, and Peter thought that deserved to know everything that they had missed since being gone.
He blamed himself for their death. It had been during the fight with Harry Osborn, they had fallen off the clock tower and he tried to save them, but they were falling too fast and their spine and neck snapped as they were caught by the web. There was no way he could've saved them, but he always blamed himself for their death. The truth was, he was in love with them, but he never got the chance to say it, they died before he was brave enough to say three simple words. He hated himself for being such a coward.
He was broken out of his thoughts as May placed a hand on his shoulder, "We're here, sweetheart. Remember, we'll stay as long as you need to, okay?" she said softly, rubbing his shoulder as he sat up straight, hands shaking a little bit. "Want me to stay in here so you can talk to them in private?"
"Please." Peter said softly, looking at his aunt with a broken smile. He opened the car door and stepped out, the cold air hitting his face. He started to walk over to their grave, hands shaking more as he felt his heart rate accelerate. He could feel tears forming already in his eyes, just at the idea of seeing their grave. He had never made it more than three minutes without bursting into tears, and today every single emotion of his was heightened.
He finally arrived at their grave and sighed, leaning down and placing the flowers on their tombstone. "Hey, Y/n, how've you been?" he asked, a broken smile forming on his face. "I know, it's been a few weeks since we've seen each other, I've been busy, doing Spider-Man stuff...saving the city. " His words were shaky and his breathing was uneven. " I've also been avoiding you, I know, how cruel of me. " he said with a broken laugh.
"It just hurts to not hear your voice anymore, to not be able to see your smile or hold you in my arms. I've managed to last a whole year so far, but god, it's been so hard." He said as tears fell free, streaming down his face. "Look at me, I'm already crying like a baby." he attempted to joke, wiping his tears away with his sleeve. "Must be record timing. Haven't even been here a minute." He said softly, sniffling and trying to stifle his sobs.
"Anyway, I know i don't normally stay here that long, but since it's been a year, I thought you should know everything that you've missed since you...passed. " he muttered, reaching into his coat pocket and pulling out a list.
"May is going to nursing school again, she's passing all of her classes. I'm so proud of her for pursuing her dreams. She's close to graduating." He said, a tear falling down onto the paper and smudging some of the words.
"Gwen got into Oxford, she's been doing really good there. She's gonna come and visit you sometime soon, a special trip just to see you. Isn't that great?" He asked, wiping his tears and snot from his face once again.
"I still haven't picked out a college yet- I know, how stupid of me. I have so much potential and I shouldn't waste it. it's just hard to think about leaving you behind. " He choked out, the paper in his hands quivering because his hands were shaking so badly.
"That deli you really liked- it has a sandwich named after you, it's your favorite sandwich to order from that place. Mr. Wayne told me to tell you that he misses your smile, and your tips. " He said with a broken laugh. "He thought you'd laugh at that. "
" I tried getting a tattoo in your honor, found out that my skin heals too fast to get one. It was gone in a few days, unfortunately. So I just wear a necklace with your picture instead. It's cheesy, you'd hate it. " He smiled softly, biting back more sobs. He folded the paper back up, stuffing it into his pocket as the trickle of tears turned into a downpour, sobs escaping his mouth.
"I miss you. Every day I miss you. Every day I look in the mirror and ask, 'why couldn't I save them?' Every day I regret telling you that I'm Spider-Man. Every single damn day I regret becoming Spider-Man. The mask is a painful reminder that no matter how many people I save, I can never make up for who I lost. But I can't stop saving people. It's just not in my nature." He muttered out, falling down to his knees in front of the grave.
" But I would give it all away, just to be able to see you one last time, to be able to hold you in my arms and feel you against me, one last time. To be able to crack a joke and hear you laugh and see you smile one last time. To be able to hear your voice, one last time. I would give up everything I have to be able to see you again. To be able to say a proper good-bye. " he sobbed out, just letting it all out.
"I don't deserve to wear the mask. I'm just a coward hiding under the guise of someone strong. Hiding beneath the powers, but they don't make me brave. I couldn't even tell you three simple words. I couldn't tell you how I felt about you. " He closed his eyes tightly, feeling small drops of rain begin to fall from the sky onto his hands and face.
"Every day I'm plagued by words I couldn't say. But I think it's finally time I say them. Y/n L/n, I love you. I always have, and I'm so sorry that I failed you."

WOLFSTAR X READER SERIES
Gilded Constellations | THE INTERLUDE Part 2
Tumblr media
Summary: You meet Sirius and Regulus at a family vacation in the Caribbean, but things don't go as planned and you end up losing contact once the trip is over. Years later your family moves to England and you get accepted at Hogwarts where you finally see Sirius once again, along with all of his friends. One of them with a mysterious secret, that you'll uncover as you embark on your own Hogwarts adventure. Mostly canon-compliant. This IS a wolfstar x reader fic, but it's incredibly slow burn. They won't start all dating each other until we're very deep into the story, but I promise the long wait will be worth it.
Tumblr media
Series Masterlist | Previous episode | The first Interlude
You guys know I wanted to make another interlude, but upon lack of time, and because I don't want to have you wait another week to read the next chapter (darling @aremuslupinsimp for sure needs someone to vent about the absolute rollercoaster of emotions that it is) I've decided to make it a WEEKL-LONG EVENT!
But Lilly, What does that mean? It means you can send as many questions as you might have and I'll try to address all of them within the week. Including anything related to last week, this week's, and the next week's chapter (although I will not spoil that one).
Adding a few questions here, just as a start:
Have you always known where the story is going or have you kind of figured it out along the way? do you have the ending planned?
Hey love! I do have a base idea of where GC is going. I've had these big plot points thought out from the very beginning to the part where they all start dating. Having said that, a lot of things that happen in the story, and that are in between those points, are just me letting my imagination soar, and a lot of those chapters end up being some of my favourites.
I wanted to end the story either before they end school or before 1981, but now that I've gotten so attached to the characters, I've honestly thought of writing past that, and "fixing" some of the things that happen in canon. But who knows, that's like a whole other fic just on how much plot it would have.
SoIi can’t really remeber if the ‘prank’ that Sirius pulled on Snape had already happened in Gilded Constellations, if it hasn’t will it be happening or will it just get skipped over?
It's happened already (in 5th year). That's the reason Snape is weary about leaving Vixen in the Shack in "Bad Moon Rising". He knew she would be in danger because there was a werewolf inside. He couldn't say anything to them because of the young twisting charm Dumbledore put on him, and he's never been brave enough to stand up to the other Slytherins, so he went straight to Lily and told her Vix was in danger.
That's why Lily knew about Vixen being in danger when Sirius showed up with a fox in his hands and was livid about it.
Tu penses prévoir combien de chapitre pour GC si tu sais sinon si tu sais pas une estimation de chapitre que tu aimerais écrire pour GC ?
I'm terrible with estimations, originally it was going to be a short 5 chapter-long series. And then I wanted to end it at thirty, and then at forty. So far I've written 55 chapters, but I'm thinking of ending before chapter 70. (That's IF I don't get carried away).
Do we get to know if Sirus ever got that necklace back from the first few chapters?
Oh, the necklace is still on Vix's neck and it's going to be HUGE in the next couple of chapters. I've been building on is for a while and I'm really excited about it finally happening.
How is it going with Remus' and reader's fireworms?
They are amazing! They've implemented a whole system that helps them get fed automatically. They're probably going to ace that test.
Are we seeing more to Nina?
Definitely.
After they come back from winter break will the study group start again?
I mean, there're going to be a LOT of things happening after the Winter Break, but I assume yes. Also the reading club, the reading club is going to happen.
How long do we have to wait 'till Remus, Reader and Sirius go out?
I think I'm about one or two chapters away from writing that, but I'm a few chapters ahead. But it's waaay less than before.
Does Nina have a little crush on Reader or is it just me?
I mean, there's a reason why the ribbon she tied on her quidditch gear was enough to defend Vix from Barty's spell. And why, more than once, Nina's love has proven to be a strong protective spell over the reader.
Are we getting more lessons like some of the first chapters?
Yup, not very soon, since the next few chapters will all be happening over the winter break, but once they're back in school, certainly.
Further questions will be answered directly on asks as they come.
Tumblr media
I'm really excited about the questions I might get, also a bit terrified about the questions I'll get after Chapter 44, but of well, the show must go on.
Love ya lots, Lils xx

i have a request after how cute the last different kind of love on shot was. reader is trying to put dylan into preschool, but it’s very expensive because all preschools (at least in usa) are private. reader is struggling to afford putting him in preschool but he really wants to go and make friends. reader is hesitant to ask natasha as she doesn’t want her charity, but natasha obviously sees reader is struggling and helps pay for dylan to go. bonus points if maybe reader was nervous to go to a parent - teacher conference at said preschool (as a first time parent) and auntie nat goes with us as emotional support. thank u sm!!
Drabble - Pre-School

Different Kind of Love Masterlist
Tumblr media
"Agh!" you sighed to yourself unaware that Natasha had just entered your office. "What's up?" Natasha smiled softly as she slumped down into the chair across from your desk with a coffee in her hand. "I'm just trying to enrol Dylan into pre-school but all the ones that are close by are private and of course, so damn expensive!" you explained as you ran your fingers through your hair.
"All of them?" Natasha frowned slightly before taking a sip of her coffee.
"Well, there is a couple that aren't, but they don't really seem like a perfect fit for him. Also, he wasn't a fan of them because the playground wasn't big enough" you playfully rolled your eyes, "he's so excited to start and make new friends. I took him shopping the other day to pick out his lunchbox and backpack and I'm positive he slept with the backpack still on his back that night" you looked at Natasha.
Natasha placed her mug on your desk and looked at you as if you could read her mind, "Let me pay for his admission" she offered, once again like money was not an issue for her. Well, it wasn't but still. "Nat, thank you but I can't ask you to do that. I'm just going to have maybe do some over time?" You raised a brow in the hopes your boss would be okay with the idea.
"You're being silly, Y/n. You already have enough on your plate and Dylan needs his mom at home after a long day, so no. You can't just do some extra overtime" She leant forward towards you, "you're too proud to ask for help. I've seen you stressing over this for a few weeks, and I knew you wouldn't ask me so I'm just going to gift it to you" she adds.
She was right, you were too proud to ever ask for help. It's always just been you and Dylan, and you've been able to make it work but now that Dylan is at an age where he needs to be around children his own age and not just a couple of hours a day at the park. He needs this and you knew even with the extra overtime, it wouldn't be enough to cover life's expenses.
"Now you're overthinking it" Natasha spoke, breaking you out of your thoughts.
"Are you sure? I will pay you back every cent!" you replied, causing Natasha to chuckle, "You're not paying me back. It's a gift" she reminded you and just like that, there was no point arguing with her. "Thank you so much" you smiled softly although you couldn't help the feeling of guilt, taking money from your boss to help pay for your child's pre-school.
"Email me that pre-school you want to send him too and I'll take care of it, okay?" Natasha smiled before taking another sip of her coffee.
----
In four short days, Dylan would be starting his first day at pre-school. To say he was excited was an understatement. Your big, brave boy couldn't stop talking about all the fun things he was he excited to do, all the new friends he would make and most importantly, bringing home all his artwork for you. Of course, he didn't see how nervous you were to see him grow up and take his big step into a new chapter, but Natasha did.
"He's going to be fine. It's Dylan, the kid could make friends with squirrels if you let him" Natasha handed you a glass of wine as she sat on the sofa beside you. "I just thought I would have a little more time with him, he starts pre-school now and the next thing I know he'll be off to college" you looked to your best friend with sad eyes, "I'm not ready to let him grow up so fast, not yet" you added before taking a light sip of your wine.
"I'm not a mother but you have to be okay with this, you have done such an amazing job raising him and now it's time to let him explore the world in his own way, he's not leaving you and he knows that you will always be there for him" Natasha assures you of your worries as a mother, every mother's worries. "When's the parent teacher meeting?" she asked.
"Tomorrow at 9am, I'll be a little late to work" you replied.
"We. We will be a little late to work, I'm coming. If that's okay of course. Can't let you cry in front of his new friends" Natasha replied with a chuckle before sipping her wine. Playfully you slapped her shoulder and took another sip of your wine, "Thank you, again" you smiled.

Why Ocarina of Time's Princess Zelda is is underrated, and why she is one of the most tragic incarnations of Princess Zelda: an analysis post
Tumblr media
Ocarina of Time's Princess Zelda is my favorite Zelda character, and on of my favorite characters ever. Sadly, she is not talked about that much. I've seen some people call her boring and I've actually seen quite a few people hate her due to her actions at the end of the game. I wanted to make a post analyzing her character and talking about some of the things about her that people overlook. I will be using the manga some here, which is not canon, but I encourage you to keep an open mind. I'm cross-posting this from twitter with a few changes and things I forgot to mention. The original thread can be found here.
We first see Zelda in the courtyard. We learn that she has prophetic dreams, and that her most recent ones have been about Ganondorf and the fall of Hyrule. So at the age of around 10 she’s already worrying about saving her kingdom from disaster. It’s far too much for a 10 year old to be worrying about. And you can see that she’s very concerned and that it’s all she’s been thinking about.
I’m going to assume that everyone knows the general story of Ocarina of Time, so I don’t need to explain every little detail. Long story short, Ganon attacks Hyrule castle and Impa takes Zelda and flees with her. It’s unclear exactly what he did but I think it’s likely she saw people die that day. Some guards maybe, or possibly even her dad. It’s heavily implied that her father is dead in the game. And in the manga Ganondorf straight up says that he killed him.
Tumblr media
I’m going to take a second to talk about the people in Zelda’s life. It’s very clear how she trusts Link with all her heart and I don’t think I need to explain that one. But I do want to talk about Impa. Impa has known Zelda since she was a baby, and is Zelda’s attendant.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These two care about each other very much. Impa believes Zelda when she tells her about her dream. Zelda trusted Impa enough to confide in her. Also, Sheik later begs Link to save Impa, and Impa’s parting words are asking him to protect Zelda.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Apart from her Impa, I doubt Zelda had many other real connections in her life. Possibly a few guards? I doubt she was every able to go outside of the castle. In the manga we see that a part of her longs to be a normal girl.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A bit about Zelda’s personality. She’s adventurous and playful! When Link takes her letter to the Death Mountain guard, he makes a comment that Zelda has come up with games before!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We also see this side of her in the OOT manga. It’s clear she doesn’t like staying inside and being regal.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She’s also very brave. In the OOT manga she stands up for Link when he gets into trouble, and she even stands up to Ganondorf, right to his face!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, while the OOT manga technically is not canon, here’s something that is canon. With the Mask of Truth, Link can read gossip stones across Hyrule. One of these gossip stones says that Zelda is a tomboy!
Tumblr media
A few things I forgot to mention. It seems like Zelda’s father was not very involved with her life. I mean, he didn’t take her seriously enough to even hear her out about the dreams she was having. And I presume her mother is dead. So she really had very few people in her life.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another quick thing about her is that she cares deeply about the people of Hyrule and her kingdom. Despite the fact that she wishes she was a normal girl, she still takes her duty as princess and eventually queen very seriously.
Tumblr media
Let’s talk about the 7 years that went by while Link was asleep. All 7 of those years, Zelda had to live through. She was only 10 when those years began. She watched her kingdom fall and she watched Ganon come into power. She likely saw people die. What little childhood she already had was taken from her. But she didn’t just give up and wait for Link to save her. She is NOT a damsel in distress. She started to train. She wanted to become stronger. She wanted to be able to fend for herself. She wanted to be able to assist Link when the time came.
Tumblr media
Enter Sheik. Often called Zelda’s “persona” or “disguise” but I’d argue that this is actually her embracing her true self. This is the first time in her life where she’s not under anyone’s control. She does all of this while hiding from Ganondorf, who seeks her. When the time comes for her to meet Link again, she assists him in his journey by guiding him and teaching him songs. I think it’s unfortunate that we didn’t get to see her fight but here’s an official art that shows them battling together so I think it happened offscreen!
Tumblr media
Another thing that she did is she saved Princess Ruto from under the ice of Zora’s Domain!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Link battles Ganondorf and Zelda does assist! She uses her power to hold him down while Link delivers the final blow and she then initiated the Sage’s Seal!
And now I have to talk about her regret. She blames everything that happened on herself and herself alone. She blames herself for dragging Link into it. She even feels that she needs to make it up to him. It’s a horrible burden to bear. She’s only 17.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
She sends Link back to his original time. And she often gets backlash for doing this. But she does it for two reasons. The first is that she believes this is her atoning for bringing Link into the fight. She wants him to regain his childhood. She won’t ever get hers back.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And the second reason is that Link must seal the door of time, so that his timeline will have a future (for a while). Ganon was able to be kept at bay.
Tumblr media
With Link no longer a part of her world, and Impa no longer a part of her world, she truly has no one. She will go on to become Queen and Hyrule will be rebuilt. But I don’t think just because Hyrule is rebuilt that that’s a happy ending for her. Like I said, she has no one. No one that she can confide in about her trauma. No one that would understand the burden that she bears. She will eventually have to marry someone and have a child to continue the royal bloodline. And while some things could possibly bring her joy, like a child, I don’t think she’d be truly happy for the rest of her life. She’ll never see Link or Impa again.
Thanks for reading!

We meet again ✿ Sherlock Holmes
Tumblr media
Sherlock Holmes x Detective!Reader
Requested by: Anonymous
Summary: After your father stepped down as a detective, you decided to take over and got on your first case. What you did not expect is a letter standing on your front porch from a person you wanted to leave in the past…
Warning: smut, nsfw 18+, murder
A/N: Hello everyone! I have not written a smut in a long time so if this is bad just let me know. English is not my first language, so let me know if I made any mistakes. I do not allow for my work to be posted or translated on this or any other platform. 🫶🏻🫶🏻
Tumblr media
Ever since you were little you were introduced to the world of the detectives. Your father was a detective him self and was also, your biggest role model.
You two have traveled all around the world to solve cases together. You were his little Nancy Drew.
As years went by your father became old and decided to step down, meaning that you would have to take over his job. You were excited at first, until you got on your first case.
There has been a murder in a neighborhood not that far from yours. The person who was murdered was a young woman, probably in her late 20s. Her body was found by her sister who came home late at night that day. Her sister owns one of the most popular bookshops in town and that day, the bookshop held a small event, celebrating the success of a new book that was recently published by a writer that was from the town. The book became really popular not just in your town, but also across the country so they had a reason to celebrate.
Her sister sent you a letter asking you if you could solve the murder and you agreed.
Solving murder cases were not your thing since your father never allowed you to help him whenever he was asked to solve a murder.
But your father has stepped down, and now you are the one in charge so you have to try your best.
The woman’s sister invited you over to their house so you could investigate.
The living room where her body was found looked pretty normal to you and did not see anything suspicious.
“Was your sister at the event too?” You asked the woman.
She looked at you for a few seconds before she spoke. She was still in shock after finding her sister’s body so you understood why she took her time.
“She was, but only for a short amount of time. She said that she was not feeling well and wanted to go home. I told her that we can go together since its dark and could be dangerous but she did not want me to leave since she that the event was important to me. After a hour or two I kinda felt that something was wrong and was scarred that something might have happened to her so I left to see if she was doing okay. I was first relieved to see that the lights were on but that quickly changed when I saw her lying lifeless on the ground.”
You noted every detail before asking her other questions.
“Did she act differently at the event? Was she maybe scared or maybe uncomfortable?”
The woman took her time since she tried to remember the way her sister acted.
“What I remember is that she was a little bit scared, like she saw a ghost or something but I brushed it off since she was often scared or shy whenever she was crowded by the people. What surprised me the most is that she requested to walk home alone at such late hours. She never went out when it was dark unless there was someone with her, but I thought that she was brave enough to alone so I let her. I also saw that she was walking fast, like as if she was running from someone.”
You noted every important detail about the night.
You asked the woman if she had any scars. Anything that would prove that she was murdered.
She told you that she had bruises on her body, mostly on her neck. She also told you that police and doctors believe that the killer held their hands on her neck until her last breath. There were a few scars that were caused by a sharp object that could have been a knife or other things like glass.
That’s everything she knew since they are still trying to find the cause of death before she is laid to rest.
You went around the house to see if the killer left something or dropped something. You found nothing.
Her sister let you search in her room.
You checked everywhere until you opened a box that was hidden under her bed. The box was full of letters.
All the letters she has received were from a guy named Connor Smith.
Most of them were love letters where he declared his love to her, until you opened the letter that were sent to her only a moth before she was killed.
You could definitely see that his love turned into obsession. He told her that she will always belong to him. That he was the only man she was allowed to love. He also wrote her that she should stop seeing the man she was out with once, which meant that he was probably stalking her.
You exited the room so that you could talk to her sister.
“Do you know if a man named Connor Smith was at the event?”
The woman looked at you with a weird look on her face.
“Yes, Connor used to work at the bookshop until two weeks ago. I invited him since he help us a lot with the bookshop.”
You noted that down.
“Did you maybe see him around your sister that night?”
“I am just asking because he sent your sisters some letters so I need to know. Was Connor around your sister that night?”
“Yes he actually was. They talked about something and maybe a half an hour or so she asked if she could go home since she did not feel well.”
You noted that down too and told her that you will come back in a few days. You also told her that she should tell you if she found something suspicious or any new clues.
You thanked her for inviting you over and left her home.
After leaving their home, you stopped at the local marked and bought some groceries since your dad requested it in the morning before you left.
You brought everything that your father requested and left. When you arrived to your house, you saw that there was a letter at the door.
Ever since you got this case, people would not stop asking you about it. They wanted to know everything. You have received letter from people in town who wanted to be part of the case. You even received letters from the local newspaper with dozens of questions.
Who did it? What clues did you find? Any suspects?
All you wanted was to be left alone and solve this case in peace.
Before you opened the letter, you stored the groceries that you brought and made your father some lunch since he was starving. Poor man.
Leaving your father to eat in peace, you went to your room and opened the letter.
I heard that you just got your first case
If you need any help, I am there for you
S.H
You instantly rolled your eyes when you saw who sent you the letter.
Sherlock Holmes, one of the most successful and most popular detectives in the world. He was smart and intelligent, knew several languages and every case he got, was solved.
But you knew Sherlock way before he even became a detective.
You two used to be lovers until he became a detective and made it his priority.
You did not care at first. You were happy that he was doing something that he loves.
Until, he started to travel around the world to solve cases.
During that time you would miss him a lot and wrote him letters daily. He never responded to one of them.
After he came back from Spain, solving a case that involved kidnapping, he admitted cheating on you with other woman so he could get some information out of her since she was one of the main suspects.
He told you that it meant nothing to him but you did not believe him, so you left him.
And after five years of no contact, he sends you a letter saying that he will help you with the case. What an idiot, you thought.
You ignored his letter and went off with your day.
You went down to the town center to visit your favorite cafe, hoping that you could relax and read the notes you took while visiting the victim’s sister.
You sat down at your favorite spot, outside since it was a nice day and the sun was shining, and ordered some coffee and your favorite cookies.
You were so lost in the notes you took that you did not notice the person standing behind you.
“Well, we meet again sweetheart.” He spoke softly
That made you jump since you did not know that he was behind you. You even realized that others were staring at you.
Turning around to see the figure behind you, you could not help but to roll your eyes again.
It was Sherlock.
He took the seat next to yours and sat down, meanwhile you started reading your notes again, ignoring Sherlock
A few seconds went by before he spoke again.
“Are you going to ignore me again”
You did not say anything as you still read your notes.
“Did you receive my letter” he spoke
You looked up at him
“I did” you spoke back
“I meant everything I wrote in the letter. I am willing to help you with the case if you just let me…” He could not even finish the sentence because you cut him off.
“I do not need your help. I am capable of solving it alone.” You spoke harshly
Sherlock understood why you were like this since he has hurt you a lot, but he really wants to help you.
The lady who works at the cafe, came with you order.
You were about to pay her, but Sherlock was faster.
He payed your order and ordered some coffee too. The lady noted down Sherlocks order and left.
“What do you know about the case?” He asked you.
You knew that he will not give up so you just answered him.
“Well I visited her sister today. She is terrified and wants answers to why could someone do this to her sister. I asked her a few questions about that night. She told me that her sister did act weird and that she was scarred. She described it as she has seen a ghost. She later on leaves the event at around midnight, saying that she does not feel well. Her sister feels like something is wrong and goes home to check up on her only to find her dead in the living room. Her body has both bruises and scars. Most of the bruises were on her neck and doctors and the police believe that the killer killed her by pressing their hands on her neck until her last breath. The cuts were caused by a sharp object. Could have been a knife or glass but I did not find anything suspicious until I checked her room where I found letters from a man named Connor Smith. He has sent her too many love letters over the years. The last letters she received from him was a month ago. In the letters, it said that she should stay away from the man that she was seeing because he did not deserve her. I suspect that Connor was stalking her too, but I can not say that its clear that he did. I asked her sister if Connor was at the event, which she said that he was and that they had a conversation. Shortly after their conversation, her sister came up to her, asking her if she could go home since she did not feel well.”
“So, this Connor is the…” Sherlock spoke before you cut him off.
“Is the main suspect, but I need to find the name of the other guy she was seeing. He could also be a suspect or may know something we don’t.”
Sherlock nodded as he listens to you.
“What are your plans now for the case?” He asks
“Well, they are still checking for a cause of death, but the main theory of the death cause is that the killer killed her by chocking her very hard until she took her last breath. I wanted to hear if they have found something in her body since she said that she was not feeling well. Could be because she was talking to Connor, but it could also be that she was..” You spoke, but to your surprise, Sherlock cut you off.
“Poisoned” he spoke
“That’s one of my theories, but I could be wrong.”
“At this point everything is possible.” He spoke before asking you more questions about the case.
“Do you know where Connor lives?” Just then, the lady comes out with Sherlocks order and he pays.
“Well, no but he used to work at the bookshop where the event was being held at so they probably know.”
Sherlock nodded and then drank his coffee. Then you realized that your coffee and food is still untouched so you take a bite of cookies and drink some coffee too before you speak again.
“We have not seen each other for five years and then you all of a sudden send me a letter where you will gladly help me with my first case. Why?!”
Sherlock looked at you for a moment before he spoke.
“The truth is that I wanna make it up to you and helping you with your first case would be my honor. I know that was an idiot for doing the things back then, and regret doing it. I regret hurting you and most of all, I regret leaving you.”
At that moment you told your self “he does not mean it”, but then you saw that his eyes are filled with tears that are threatening to spill.
“I don’t know if I can forgive your for hurting me back then, but what I know for sure is that we can try again, but…as friends for now.” You spoke while looking at him
“I understand but could I at least help you with the case?” He asked as a smile began to form on his face. You chuckled since you could not take him seriously.
“Fine, I would be needing some help.” You said while chuckling.
Both of you finished your drinks and you shared your cookies with Sherlock before standing up and leaving.
You walked around town and talked about each others lives.
He told you about the amazing places he visited while solving cases.
From Paris to Moscow, and even Cape Town. He told you that he can bring you with him when he travels again.
You smiled at that, already imagining the places you two could visit, but that imagination was cut short when you told yourself that you have moved on and wanted to stay as friends.
Well, so you thought.
You walked together for what seemed like hours, but it was only 10 minutes.
You two found yourself standing on Sherlocks porch.
Sherlock opened the door and yelled “Hello!?” to see if anybody was home, but it was dead silent.
“Well turns out we are alone” he said while turning to look at you.
You gulped hard, since the last time you were alone with him in his house was when you had your huge fight with him because of his affairs. You ended things with him and stormed out. You have been there to visit Enola and her mother but you were never there when Sherlock was back.
You headed towards his office to focus more on the case.
You went through the notes you took, to see if you can at least solve something. What bothered you the most was that you did not know the name of the other guy she was seeing.
It would have been much easier to know since he could tell his side of the story, but right now he is on the list of the main suspects.
“How are we going to find the guy she was seeing if don’t know his name or have any description of him?” He asked
“I don’t know but I think its best for us to investigate and see if Connor is behind her death. Besides, the news have spread around town, so he is going to come forward sooner or later.”
“You are probably right” He sighed
During the time you spend in his office, you would often notice that his hand would often brush yours or your waist. You did not mind at first but he kept on going so you decided to confront him.
You pulled away from him and yelled “Alright Sherlock, ever since I got here, you would not stop touching me!!! So if you don’t have anything better to do then I think that I should leave!!”
You were about to exit his office when he suddenly pulled you into a kiss. You really hated yourself at that moment since you gave in.
He pulled away and looked into your eyes before he spoke.
“These past years without you have been hell and everyday I hate myself even more for hurting you and don’t think I could ever forgive myself for making my work my priority and doing all those disgusting tings I did that hurt you. I think about you, I dream about you every damn night and I love you…more than anything in this world.”
You looked at him with tears in your eyes, and did not know what to say.
Sherlock later on took you to his bedroom without pulling his lips from yours. He laid you down on the bed before pulling away from you to take his shirt off. He then helped you get out of your corset and rest of the dress. He finally took his pants, along with his underwear. He then laid on top of you and began kissing your neck.
“May I??” He asked for your permission. You have done this while you were still lovers but it was a long time ago so it was the only right thing to do.
“Yes” You blurted out.
He slowly lined himself on your entrance and began thrusting. You both began moaning softly while he kept a slow pace since you needed some time to get used to his size.
“Fuck, it feels so good” He said.
You could not form any words at the moment because of the pleasure.
Sherlock later on sped up the pace and you were a moaning mess.
“You okay sugar?” He asked while thrusting into you.
“Yes! It just feels soo goood!” You said.
Both of you reached your limit and were out of breath.
“Did you really mean everything you said?” You asked.
“Every word. Do you think that we can try again?” He asked
You were skeptical about that but you had other plans.
“Well first of all, it would take some time for me to trust you again so you would have to prove it. Second of all, yes we can but as friends for now until I know that I can trust you again.”
Both of you looked at each other and smiled. He came on top of you again and gave you one last kiss before you both doze off.

sasuke x f!reader
warnings: gore/violence, angst, canon-divergent (instead of sasuke leaving he just disappeared; the reader takes the place of sakura but with different jutsus/skills. i also diverged from the original story of the fairytale a bit)
notes: i recently watched the movie belle (i highly recommend it!) and i absolutely fell in love with it. i thought sasuke would be a perfect fit for a beauty and the beast retelling, so i took a few liberties with the source material. enjoy!

You were confident you’d never been more anxious in your entire life. Even your first mission felt like a walk in the park compared to the fear that currently had a vice grip on your entire body. Your heart pounded in your ears so loud you doubted you’d even be able to hear your name get called. Your chest hurt with such a ferocity that it felt as if something was slowly cracking your ribs one by one. Your hands shook so much you could barely pull the scroll out of your pocket to check (for the fifth time) if you were in the right place at the right time.
There had to have been some kind of mistake, you thought to yourself, heart leaping into your throat at the sight of Shizune, I’m nowhere near strong enough to be going on a mission like this.
“I’m glad you could make it here on such short notice, (Name). I know this is all a bit sudden, but I figured you were the best person to take on a mission like this.”
All you could do was bow and utter a meek, “Of course, m’lady.”
“Let’s get down to business then. We’ve been fielding more and more complaints about people on the outskirts of the village seeing some sort of monster moving through the trees at all hours of the day. A few brave—in my opinion stupid—souls have tried to catch it, but not a single one has even gotten close.”
“Is that where I come in?” You asked timidly.
The Hokage nodded. “I need you to patrol the outskirts and see if you can catch a glimpse of what’s been terrorizing the villagers. You’ll be leaving with Sai and Naruto tomorrow afternoon. But (Name),” the Hokage beckoned you closer, lowering her voice slightly, “you have to promise me that you won’t tell Naruto why you’re in the village.”
“Yes ma’am.”
“I’ve told Sai the same. There’s a chance this could provide us with a lead on the disappearance of Sasuke Uchiha, and we can’t have Naruto, well...”
“Being Naruto?”
“Exactly. I trust you and Sai will be more than equipped to handle this, but still exercise caution and use your best discretion. We don’t want anyone else disappearing, got it?”
“Yes ma’am.”
“Good.” As you turned to leave, the Hokage spoke one last time. “Be careful, (Name). I hope you’re able to find what you’re looking for.”
*
Lady Tsunade’s final words rang in your head every sleepless hour that led up to your departure. What you were looking for, what you had always been looking for, was Sasuke. You were the last person to see him before his untimely disappearance, and the weight of it had crushed you ever since. No matter how good of a kunoichi you’d become there was a constant grey cloud hanging over your head—the belief held among many of Konoha’s citizens that you were the reason its brightest star had suddenly disappeared from the sky.
You guessed it was why Lady Tsunade had given you the mission in the first place. She and Kakashi were the only people you had confided in about the relentless ridicule you’d been subjected to, so she knew better than anybody else how much it meant to you. It was why now, as you stood at the village gates waiting for Sai and Naruto to arrive, you felt as if the dango you’d eaten for lunch was about to rise back up from your turning stomach.
“Hey (Name)! What’s wrong? Aren’t you excited to be going on a mission? You talked to Granny Tsunade yesterday, right? How’d it go?”
All you could do was blink in response to Naruto’s rapid-fire questions. Your eyes drifted over to Sai, noting that he looked just as lost as you did.
“Good afternoon, (Name). You seem to be upset, is there something you would like to talk about?”
“No, but thank you Sai.” You gave him a kind smile. “We should probably get going so we can get settled before ni—“ Sai shot you a dangerous look. “Before it gets too dark out. We’ll need to find a place to stay for the night before we do anything else.”
“Good idea, (Name). You and I can take up the rear. Naruto, how about you take the lead and start heading toward the outskirts.”
“Who died and made you leader?” Naruto remarked with a huff, starting with a leisurely pace toward the treeline in the distance.
“Thank you, Sai,” You said once Naruto was out of earshot, beginning to bound through the trees a safe distance behind him.
“Lady Tsunade informed me of the importance of this mission to you. I don’t know what kind of bond you two shared, but it seems that he means a great deal to you. Am I correct?”
You nodded. “He was my best friend. I...”
You swallowed thickly, the words dying in your throat. He was more than just your best friend or your teammate or your partner. For all of your shyness and all of his aloofness, it seemed you two were the only ones who understood each other. When you were young you’d been a calm, united force against the arrogance and unpredictability of Naruto; as you’d grown older you each became powerful in your own rights, but had never entirely abandoned each other.
Until.
“You’re much quieter than usual. It said in my book that often times subjects like this can be difficult for people to discuss, even if many years have gone by since it happened. I hope that you’ll be able to find Sasuke again, (Name).”
The rest of the journey was spent in silence, your mind racing with thoughts. You had never entertained the thought of what might happen once you saw Sasuke again. It was always too painful, the wound always too fresh. Even now you felt a pain stab at your chest, but you couldn’t stop your mind from venturing to the thought. Would he remember you? Would he recognize you? You’d cut your hair since then, gained muscle, learned how to master the water change in chakra nature. You were different now, yet at the same time you felt as if you had remained exactly the same.
Even more concerning, would you recognize him? How much had he changed from the boy you’d promised to see tomorrow all those years ago? In your more heartbroken moments you allowed yourself to try and imagine what he would look like now, but what if you’d been wrong? What if he was unrecognizable? Would you still feel the same as you did then?
“Hey! (Name)!”
Naruto’s voice snapped you away from your doubts, bringing you to a screeching halt at the village’s outskirts. Sparse houses dotted the landscape, broken up by a few shops and restaurants that paled in comparison to the village proper. Lady Tsunade had arranged for the three of you to stay at a merchant’s house while he was off selling his products in another village, and Sai had been entrusted with the key a day prior to your departure.
He led the way to the modest home near the forest, which upon entering was found to be immaculately cleaned and finely furnished. Naruto immediately threw himself into a plush armchair, sitting back in it while Sai scolded him for disrespecting the house.
“I think I’ll go rest for a bit if you two don’t mind.” You exchanged a look with Sai, making sure that he understood you’d be sleeping before you departed that night to look for the monster.
“I’ll let you know when we’ve returned from talking to the villagers. Rest well.”
You awoke to Sai standing in your doorway, his hand raised and a smile on his face. “You’re awake.”
“Yeah, I managed to wake up on my own, but thank you for checking on me. Is Naruto asleep?”
“He just left for the bath house a few moments ago. I think I’ll join him. I wanted to stop by here and make sure you were awake first, and it seems you are, so I’ll be on my way. Please be careful while you’re patrolling, I wouldn’t want to get on Lady Tsunade’s bad side again.”
You smiled, thanking Sai once again before he left. You pulled on your shoes and gathered your weapons, taking a deep breath before setting out into the night. The wind that met your face upon opening the door was pleasantly cool, marking the beginning of the shift from summer to autumn. It helped to wake you as you disappeared into the forest, bounding between trees while keeping your eyes open for anything out of the ordinary.
After an hour of searching all you’d come up with was a spider in your shoe and an overwhelming sense of defeat. You slumped back in a tree and sighed, wondering if Lady Tsunade had sent you on little more than a wild goose chase. As you rested your mind drifted to Sasuke, thinking of the low-rank missions you had gone on together as genin. It had always been the two of you taking care of the actual objective while Naruto got distracted, same as it was with you and Sai now.
But you knew better than anyone all the ways that it hadn’t been the same for a single second since Sasuke had disappeared. In his wake he had left a gaping absence, a black hole that got closer to consuming you with every day that passed by. You hated it. Hated the feeling of waking up and knowing he wasn’t there, that for all you knew he would never be there again. Hated the way the villagers whispered about you, the way that they feared and reviled you. You who had shot their brightest star right from the sky. You who was no better than the Akatsuki members—why didn’t you just join them? It seemed you would fit right in.
Yet for some reason you dug your heels in and kept stubbornly defending the Leaf, taking any mission that someone was kind enough to give you. No matter how dangerous it was, you had to prove that you were better than the rumors. You had to prove that you were strong enough to get Sasuke back. It hadn’t been a mistake that you were the one left behind, you just had to bring him back and—
Something moved beyond the tree line.
You readied a kunai and slowly crept toward the shadowy figure in the distance. It was still for the time being, resting in what seemed to be a crouch. Its shape was unlike anything you’d seen before, the distance and darkness making it hard to pick out any specific details. Just as its image became clearer it stood up, quickly bounding toward a point in the distance.
You immediately followed after it, breaking out through the trees to follow it on foot. You tried to move as quietly as possible, hoping that you could stay far enough behind it that it wouldn’t sense your presence. You could now see that it had a pair of massive, grotesque wings that looked like a pair of fleshy claws. It was vaguely humanoid, with a mane of thick black hair that bounced against its back as it ran. You allowed yourself to draw closer to it, making sure your footsteps were quiet enough that it couldn’t hear you. A pang of fear pricked at your chest when you realized there was a chance whatever creature this was could sense chakra, but it was too late now to implement any sort of measures to conceal yourself.
You matched the creature’s every step, following the winding path it took with a grim determination. It was leading you further and further away from the village, which you could only guess was a deliberate move. The longer you travelled the more you could begin to see the landscape change, the empty grassland giving way to what appeared to be an abandoned village. The creature’s pace began to quicken, obviously drawing nearer to its destination. You took the opportunity to slow down and duck behind one of the empty houses, watching as the creature made its way to an expansive house in the distance.
As you drew nearer to the house you began to realize just how impressive it was. It was built much like any other house you’d seen in the Leaf, though far more elaborate and ornate. It was more well-maintained than it should have been, and as you passed through its front gate you were amazed to see that all the structures of it were seemingly intact.
You walked along the corridor enclosing the central garden, peering into any doors that had been left ajar as you searched for any sign of where the creature had disappeared to. You could sense a distant chakra somewhere in the house, but every time you got closer to it it seemed to disappear completely. You sighed and stopped for a moment, walking through an open door into a wide, empty room with a few dusty pillows and a shredded tatami mat in it. You took a seat in the least cobweb-covered area of the room, giving yourself a moment to rest and collect yourself before you continued the search.
Just as you lowered yourself to the ground you heard a loud crash from the other side of the house followed by a sharp yell. You ran toward the source of the noise, ducking into one of the rooms to hide as you looked for the source of the noise. You could hear the wood floors creaking, heavy footsteps drawing closer and closer to your location....
“YOU!” The growling roar of the creature’s voice filled your ears, making your instinctively shrink back and press your back into one of the corners of the room.
You hurled a kunai at its chest, watching in horror as the creature deflected it and appeared in front of you. It reached a hand out to wrap around your neck, slamming you back into the wall hard enough to make your teeth rattle. You tried desperately to cast a jutsu that could get you out of its grasp, but before long your vision began to ebb and all you could think to do was claw at its hands in an attempt to grant your survival.
“Why have you come here?” You continued to grasp at its hand. “Answer me!”
“You...you’re....”
Your head swam, blotches of blurred black occupying more and more of your vision. You stared into the eyes of the creature, knowing it would be your last sight before you inevitably died by its hands. And when you looked into them, a single thought occupied your mind:
Sasuke.
*
You could remember the first day you’d met Sasuke Uchiha like it was yesterday. Unlike the rest of the girls in Konoha you weren’t immediately enamored with him—in fact, you’d thought he was a bit of a stuck-up jerk. You were convinced the only reason he’d passed the tests was because of his natural talent, and you resented him for already being regarded as the best. You’d spent months training to pass the test, spending hours upon hours studying your family’s water-style jutsus in order to get a spot on a team.
It wasn’t until after your first mission that you realized you had more in common with Sasuke than you’d previously believed. On your journey back from the Land of Waves the two of you had gotten to know each other, and you felt hopeful that the two of you would become good friends.
As the months passed you and Sasuke began to forge a bond that would eventually lead to your current heartbreak. The more he opened up to you the more you fell for him, and the more you believed that you would have a real chance at a future with him.
You were so sure, in fact, that you had made a plan to ask him out on a date the day he’d disappeared. You’d worn your favorite dress and gotten a bouquet of the prettiest flowers you could find from Ino’s family’s shop, deciding you would ask him to meet you at Ichiraku so the two of you could talk.
You had waited there for two hours.
The shop owner had given you a free bowl of ramen when you had slumped into one of the seats, barely holding back tears as you picked your way through a bowl of tonkotsu. You wordlessly returned the flowers to Ino on your way back to your house, sniffling your way into your room without a word to anyone about what had happened. You didn’t know how long you laid in bed and cried, but to you it felt like an eternity.
The sun was beginning to set when you finally dragged yourself out of bed to look for him, hoping that maybe Kakashi had passed him by in the village at some point that day. When you asked him he awkwardly asked if you had been crying, abandoning his inquiry as soon as your lip began to quiver. He’d told you he’d help you look and you made him promise to keep it a secret from Naruto, following him into the village with a heaviness to your heart.
Four hours passed before you concluded that he was simply gone. The last thing you’d said to him was that you couldn’t wait to see him again. Now the words felt like knives buried in your chest, stabbing at you as you fell to your knees and sobbed at the village gates.
Weeks would pass without any sign of Sasuke, and each day that elapsed more rumors began to spread. You became something of a recluse, burying yourself in your training in order to fill the hole that had been left in your life. You’d barely even cared when Kakashi told you and Naruto you’d be getting a new partner—what did it matter, anyway? You liked Sai well enough but you had to agree with Naruto (something you would never admit to out loud), there was no replacing the empty space Sasuke’s disappearance had left behind.
And now here you were, staring into the same red eyes whose powers you had once resented, now buried within the face of something you had described as a monster.
You were surprised to awaken in one of the rooms of the house, watching as sunlight illuminated your surroundings. The door connecting the room to the rest of the house was firmly shut and sealed, and the windows all had paper bombs attached to them so they couldn’t open. Save for a few cobwebs in the corners the room was relatively clean, and it was furnished with a dilapidated futon and a few pillows. There was a small box tucked into the back right corner of the room which held two days’ worth of food and water and what you swore were the shedded scales of a snake.
Whatever—or whoever—that creature was had forced you to stay here, but it seemed as if it wasn’t doing it out of pure cruelty. You would formulate a way to escape nonetheless, hoping you’d be able to make it back to the village before anyone went looked for you. But perhaps even more importantly than that you couldn’t rest until you saw the creature again. Its eyes....you knew they were Sasuke’s. You didn’t want to think about how it had come to possess them, but you had to keep grasping onto the hope that he was still alive somewhere in there.
A day passed before you made a plan, and it wasn’t until night fell that you began to implement it. You were to cast your tidal wave jutsu directly at the door, hoping that one point-blank blast would be enough to break the wood and free you. You took your place at the opposite side of the room and began to cast it, stopping when you heard footsteps approaching. You lowered your hands and sunk down against the wall, sitting as if you’d been there for hours on end.
The door slowly slid open, and before the creature could stop you you cast the jutsu and bolted for the door. You ran as fast as you could down the corridor, taking a sharp left and landing yourself in the western edge of the house. There was a single room tucked into the corner that you took the opportunity to hide in, flinging the door open as the creature closed the distance between you.
The room seemed to be in a more severe state of disrepair than the rest of the house, and the sight of it gave you a pause that you knew would surely cost you your life. There was a single dust-covered window in the room whose light shone upon a single iridescent white snake, curled up and sleeping in the room’s center. You saw the shadow of the creature blot out the light, throwing a kunai at it to buy you enough time to escape.
You ran from the house and into the empty area that surrounded it, heart pounding in your chest as you made your way for the village. You could hear the distant bark of wild dogs growing closer, fear in your eyes as you watched them skid to a halt and surround you. You tried to distract them with shadow clones, but their ferocity made quick work of them. Your hands were shaking far too badly to properly cast any justus, and you could feel in your heart that this would be the place where your story finally came to a close.
You watched in fear as the creature grabbed you and pushed you behind it, taking a harsh slash to the chest from one of the dogs as its hands moved to cast a jutsu. Your heart lurched as you watched the creature cast a fireball, falling to its knees as the grass in front of it caught flame. With the last of its strength the creature grabbed you and gave its fleshy wings a flap, taking off from the ground and starting back toward the house.
It began to rapidly lose altitude as its wounds gushed blood until it finally fell just beyond the front gates of the house. You carried it the rest of the way, heart pounding in your chest as you took it back to the room you’d been held in. You sat in the room for what felt like hours, casting a healing jutsu on its wounds until you could no longer physically sustain it.
You collapsed by the creature’s side, tears prickling in the corners of your eyes as you finally allowed yourself to take a good look at it. In the fading light of the day you could see that scars had formed across its muted brown skin, and that it’s clothes had been torn in the fight. You sucked in a breath before directing your gaze to its face, heavy tears slipping down your cheeks as you took in the sight. Buried under the thick black markings across its face and the strange color to its lips you saw him.
You saw Sasuke.
The longer he slept the more his features began to return to their normal state, as if whatever jutsu had been cast upon him was reversing itself in midst of the peace of sleep. The man who laid before you looked as you had always imagined him, just as beautiful as you’d remembered him. The sight made you ache, knowing what would return once he awoke. You had no idea what this curse was or why it had been placed on him, but you were determined to do whatever it took to reverse it.
You sat with Sasuke until he woke up, hating to see the way his features shifted back into the monster’s as he sat up and looked around the room.
“You. You’re still here.” He touched the scars along his chest, looking back up at you. “Why did you save me?”
“I...” Your breath caught in your throat. Why was it suddenly so hard to talk to him? “I couldn’t just leave you to die.”
“So you carried me all the way back here? And for what? So you can feel a sense of accomplishment? Or was it to ensure that I was wounded and wouldn’t attack you again?”
Tears welled in your eyes. You reflexively leaned back, pulling your gaze away from the venomous look in Sasuke’s eyes. “I-I healed you best I could—”
He scoffed at you in response. “So what is it then? Have you been sent to torture me with the hope that something might change?”
Your lip began to quiver. “I just want to help you, Sasuke, please.”
For a moment, he paused. You shifted away from him, worried for what would happen next. “What did you just call me?”
“S-Sasuke.”
“How do you know my name?” He barked, looking as if he were ready to attack at a moment’s notice.
“Y-you don’t remember me?”
You could barely swallow back the sob that tore its way out of you, your chest aching as a hand clasped over your mouth. How could he not remember you? Had you just been fooling yourself, childishly tricking your mind into believing that you meant something to him? Had you honestly thought that you could save him? You, the weakest one among all of Team 7. You who had tried so hard to shine as brightly as Naruto or Sasuke, but who could never even be a star in Konoha’s sky. You who had so naively believed that life was like some kind of fairytale, that all it would take was true love’s kiss to reverse years of heartache and torment.
You who thought you were something more than what you are.
“Answer me.”
You tried to stand up, tried to run away and become the coward you always knew yourself to be, but felt Sasuke’s hand wrap around your wrist and grip it tight. He pulled you back down to a sitting position, holding you so tightly that you couldn’t move.
“I...” Hot, heavy tears now streamed down your cheeks, and your voice came out as a raspy whisper. “Sasuke you have to remember me. Please.”
His claws dug into your skin. “Who the hell are you?”
“(Name),” You stammered, heart hammering in your chest.
Sasuke’s eyes narrowed. He studied you, your chakra, your clothes and everything that sat trembling before him. His scrutinizing gaze bore into you, laying you bare, breaking you down to your simplest of pieces.
You were nothing more than a foolish girl who had wandered here believing that there was no force in the universe greater than love.
How wrong you had been.
Because it was hate that made beads of blood bloom against your skin. It was hate that manifested in two red eyes tearing you apart with more sting than the sharpest kunai. It was hate that had morphed the beautiful into the grotesque. It was hate that had wiped the slate clean, that had erased a life you’d thought you built. It was hate, all consuming and never ending.
“Please let me go. I’ll leave and I won’t come back. I won’t tell anyone that you’re here, just please...”
“No.”
“No?”
“You’re different. But your chakra is the same.”
No waves of relief washed over you. Only a sick feeling deep in your stomach, heavy and dark  and thick as storm clouds. You couldn’t bring yourself to look at him, too afraid that you might see a shadow of his past self looking back at you. Any hope you’d once had that he would look at you with the same softened look he had before evaporated the moment he’d awoken. All you hoped for now was that you would make it out of here alive.
He loosened his grip on your hand. “How did you know I was here?”
How much did you want to tell him? “There....there were reports of-of something on the outskirts of the village....”
“So they sent you here to investigate?”
You nodded. “I didn’t want to hurt you, I promise. I-I didn’t even know it was you until...”
You stopped yourself. Until I looked into your eyes. The curse of the Uchiha clan, always so beautiful to you. How many times had the power of those eyes saved you? How many more times did you think they would? Were you ready to let them destroy you too?
“Why have you come here?” His voice had softened considerably, though it still held an edge of skepticism. His hand still held you in place, though no longer tight enough to make you bleed. And you, you were still terrified of him. You didn’t believe in any of this, not in the way you should have. Not in the way you had when you’d followed him here.
To save you, Sasuke. To bring you home.
Sasuke let go. “Why did it take so long?”
You finally looked up at Sasuke. You saw beneath all that he had become. You saw that he was still the boy you snuck out to see, dancing across the rooftops of Konoha to the sweet melodies carried on the nighttime air. He was still the person you dreamt of every night, conjuring all manners of fantastical scenarios for your reunion. He was a monster now, yes, but this wasn’t the fate he would be resigned to.
“I didn’t think I would ever find you again.” Your voice had returned, however small, your cheeks still shimmering with tracks of tears. “But I hoped I would. I never stopped looking for a sign that you were still alive.”
“But why? I would think by now you would’ve given up.”
“I-I couldn’t. I guess....” you sighed, “I guess I just couldn’t accept the fact that you were gone. The truth is, well...”
I love you, Sasuke. That’s why I never stopped looking for you. I’ve loved you since we were kids. Not a single day has gone by where I haven’t dreamed of what it would be like to see you again. How stupid is that? I had always hoped this would be something magical but at this point I just wish you’d tell me to get lost. Please stop being so nice to me, it’ll only make what happens next hurt worse.
“Well?”
You couldn’t bring yourself to say it. Your hands fidgeted restlessly in your lap, eyes darting to the ground the second he looked at you. After all that had transpired you couldn’t even open your mouth, the words dying in your throat every time you tried to force yourself to get them out.
A heavy silence settled between you and Sasuke. Did he know? Did he feel the same? Was he just waiting for you to say it, readying himself to reject you? Would the blow come soft, or would it hit harder than any jutsu that had been flung your way? You weren’t ready for the answers—but then again, you doubted that you ever would be.
So in a moment of what would prove to either be pure stupidity or shocking boldness, you planted a hand on the floor, leaned forward, and pressed your lips into Sasuke’s.
It felt as if time had frozen around you. Sasuke was motionless between your lips, so still that you cracked your eyes open to see if he was even there. Each second felt like an hour, ticking by at an excruciating pace. Just as you began to pull away in shame you felt his lips slowly press back against yours, a hand sliding up to gently cup your cheek.
You leaned into him, his touch like pure electricity against your skin. It was utter bliss; everything you had ever dreamed of and more. When you finally opened your eyes and pulled away there was a moment where you felt as if you were in the twilight of sleep, worried that this was all some kind of cruel dream meant to distract you from the fact that you were still trapped somewhere in the house. But when you looked at Sasuke you knew this was as real as anything, a truth even greater than fiction.
“Sasuke, you’re...”
“An act of true love.”
"What?”
“The person who cast this jutsu on me, the one who trapped me in this form, they said that the only thing that could reverse it was an act of true love. They said I would be stuck like this forever because no one would ever be able to defeat the hate in my heart. But you, (Name), you...”
“I always did, Sasuke. Every single moment, I never once stopped.”
Sasuke collapsed into your arms, no longer forced to bear the weight of what his past had forced him to become. You didn’t expect things to go back to the way they were, you knew that was foolish, but you did hope that the future the two of you would forge together would be a brighter one than the one you had long ago forced yourself to make peace with.
In a few days’ time you would return to Konoha with Sasuke in tow. You knew there would be celebration, but you’d make sure he had time to recover first. You would make a bed for him on your couch or in your room or wherever he wanted to be, and you would go to sleep every night knowing that he was safe by your side once again. You couldn’t know exactly what would come in the weeks and months and years that followed, but you hoped that you would get the chance to spend them by Sasuke’s side.
For now, though, it was enough knowing that he knew. It was enough to have said it without saying it, despite—or more likely because of—all that had happened. You held Sasuke close for as long as he needed, letting go once he sat up to look at you.
“I always hoped it would be you that found me.” Sasuke’s eyes couldn’t quite meet yours. “I thought...I thought that you were the only one who could possibly break the jutsu.”
You blinked. In all this time, had he wished for you the way you had him? Did he dream of this future too? Did it comfort him, or scare him? Had he believed you wouldn’t come, and was that why he lashed out the way he did? Was he scared of what would happen when you saw him not for who he was, but for what he’d become? Was he scared that you wouldn’t love him?
“I’m glad I found you, Sasuke.”
“I’m glad you did too.”
You pressed another kiss into his lips, savoring the taste as if it would somehow disappear again.
“Let’s go home, (Name).”
