Personal canons are the canon everyone has created based on the canon and fanon content they've consumed.

Expansion not necessary. I just wanted to add my thoughts.

1. Examples range from wanting to wrap his drinks in a web before drinking them to wanting to fall asleep curled up in the back corner of his closet. No, it doesn't matter which Spider-Man.

2. This one is just my perception of the two. There's nothing I can actually tell you about this other than the vibes seem to match.

3. The headcanon of Poison Ivy eating mostly meat is fun. (Not fully carnivore because I think she'd also eat plants because it's necessary to eat both to be a healthy human and can be healthy for the environment if done in moderation). I decided to combine it with Danny Phantom for this because I haven't seen anyone do it before. So, Ivy being mostly carnivorous and Sam being ultra-recyclo-vegetarian would be appalled at each others diets.

4. Cyborg's connected to a supercomputer created by a more scientifically advanced society, while Barbara is a human (I specified her because she's the best Bat at hacking.) Her being the best hacker in the universe is a stretch at best. There's gotta be computer languages she's unable to decipher because it's so different to any on earth. (I don't think anyone from earth should be able to hack cyborg or the mother/father boxes.) If your supercomputer can be hacked by the equivalent of a preteen with a 2010 samsung who doesn't even recognise the coding language you used, then you didn't create a supercomputer. (Mother/father boxes are sentient, autonomous computers btw.)

5. Young Justice was good. Great. It just seemed to stop caring as much about having the new audience learn about the characters after season 2. I wouldn't know who Razer is if I didn't watch Green Lantern: The Animated Series. I stopped having emotional connections with the characters by season 4 and they stopped wrapping up storylines in an emotionally fulfilling manor after season 2. As someone who never read any comic books except for Spider-man/Deadpool and a few green lantern ones and one batman and spider-man crossover, I don't care about the characters they shove into the show and expect everyone to care about.

6. I get it. The "he won't stop if he does it once" was only in one comic (apparently) and the comic was written by someone that (apparently) most of the fandom doesn't like. I don't care. Every reason he has for not killing is valid and coexists. He collects reasons to not kill like it's gold and he's a dragon. The only reason that is invalid and can't coexist is that he doesn't care enough about the people that could get hurt or killed to permanently stop people like Joker, Bane, or Scarecrow.

7. It makes sense if they were the two to get touch starved easily. Dick grew up in a circus where everyone was presumably pretty tight knit and Tim grew up in a home where appearance mattered more than feelings. But also they happen to be the characters I like to torture.

8. Strange is petty and I 100% believe that Tony started it. (Stephen is finishing it though.)

9. Freddy Freeman can't walk without crutches and flies in the comics. (I haven't read them, tho) I feel like it's erasing disabled peoples' struggles when they just give him the ability to walk in his hero form. Let him be a little flying guy who never touches the ground.

10. It's a comic thing again. I just think it's more interesting. (I found pages of captain marvel comics in google images and tumblr.)

Submission reason:

First they turned something that was consensual in the books into rape on the show, then they threw out his character growth. He should have killed Cersei, not died along side her

I'm going to keep this to three key points because otherwise I simply... I simply have too much to say. 1. So a key point of his arc in the books is about him realising that perhaps it IS still possible to be an honourable man, despite being condemned by the kingdom for his most honourable act. He wants to keep his vows as a member of the Kingsguard. Tied to this is the way he starts to form his own identity outside of his codependent relationship with Cersei. In the books, this means that he stands up to Cersei in small ways, and notably refuses to have sex with her in the White Sword Tower because it represents the vow he took to the Kingsguard, which includes chastity. In the show, he literally pushes The White Book (in which the deeds of the historic members of the Kingsguard are recorded) off the table in the same White Sword Tower so he can have sex with her on it. When he leaves Kinds Landing for the Riverlands, he tries his best to keep a previous vow he made to Catelyn Stark not to hurt any members of her family, and ends the seige of Riverrun without bloodshed. This sort of happens in the show but they also completely rewrite his plot here so he's just Cersei's lapdog who does whatever she asks of him. 2. (CW for discussion of sexual assault) In the books, Jaime is one of few male characters who has a marked disgust of sexual violence. He remembers being the only member of the Kingsguard who asked who protects the Queen from the King, after hearing her be raped through her bedroom door. He speaks up to protect Brienne (whom he actively tried to kill a chapter or so before) from being raped by the Bloody Mummers. While in the Riverlands, he encounters a serving girl who had been raped by one of the soldiers occupying the castle; when she tells him who the perpetrator was, Jaime has the man beheaded. In the show they cut two out of three of these moments, and have him rape Cersei in the sept (a scene which is consensual in the books). 3. A key element of Jaime's backstory is that he killed the king he was sworn to protect. He did this because the king was going to blow up the entire city of King's Landing, which was under seige at the time. At the time he was killing the king (and the others involved in the plot), Gregor Clegane had gotten into the palace and murdered the princess and her two young children. Despite saving 500,000 lives, Jaime still feels immense guilt over failing to protect the princess and her children. Over the course of the books, we really see the way that Jaime returns to his knightly vow to ""protect the innocents"" over any other vows of loyalty he makes to those in power, even to his family. In the show, one of his final lines is literally, LITERALLY, ""innocents? I never cared for innocents"" and admittedly, show!Jaime like... doesn't. He doesn't care for innocents. But the fact that the showrunners would so blatently FLAUNT their own COMPLETE FAILURE to do this character justice makes me incoherent with rage. Turns out I still had a lot to say. It's been three years and I am still FUMING.

He had an entire arc of distancing himself from his toxic incestuous relationship with his twin sister, he found love with another character and had a really well crafted redemption arc, then at the last minute he leaves his new love to be with his sister, then he dies, undoing the last eight seasons of character development

Propaganda:

Pour one out for Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, the modern Sisyphus. He tried for five seasons to talk some sense into these writers and every season they told him to fuck off.

Moments my heart sequentially broke for Wilhelm in season 2 part 2

Hello! It's me again with another post about moments my heart sequentially broke for Wilhelm in season 2 of Young Royals. Here's part 1. And also there are Part 1 and Part 2 for Simon.

What's noticeable - based on these posts - till this moment Wilhelm has suffered mostly because of being rejected by Simon, whereas Simon is being hit from different directions (being in the destructive relationship with Marcus and hearing not nice stuff from him, being erased by Royal Court publicly, having hard time with his "long lost" sister, still being bullied by other students in Hillerska for his non-royal backgrounds)...

Yeah, that's my observation, feel free to make your conclusions based on it. Anyway my heart broke this season for Wilhelm when...

Simon agreed Wille's position actually IS problematic for him when it comes to their relationship. I mean, I really want to cry every time I see it.

I know the feeling, kiddo. I know the feeling sooo well. I wanted to hug him, and I really was disappointed he and Felice didn't go together to the ball, even though I got that she wasn't a fan of fueling the rumors with it.

On the other hand, watching Wilhelm like that is not entirely bad for him and feeling all those feelings. I imagine him trying to live the normal life, partying and all of that, and that could be also just to feel something, forcing and pushing things to extreme level - but the pain of being punch probably felt pretty real.

And here he wasn't in control and still felt something really strong and difficult. And in my opinion even though heartbreak is never easy, it was actually good for him to experience that as a... prince.

Do I even have to say anything? This scene is a masterpiece. Also it reminds me of the one in season 1. The one after Wilhelm learns that his mom knew about August's deeds and tried to excuse it with acknowledging Erik's legacy. Back then, I could really feel that he's so lonely and not gonna lie, I was really worried about his mental health in that moment - like "Please, Wilhelm, don't do anything bad to yourself, pleaseee". Though, this time he's not alone. At least he's got Felice, Boris, and even Nils to talk about it.

Yeah, I'd rather Wille and Felice went together for that ball. He was so lost. And Simon brought Marcus, not really making things easy for Wille.

Look how tired he was! Seeing him literally on the verge of exhaustion after putting all his energy to talk politely to Marcus and respectfully informing Simon, he surrenders. I'm so done!

Kissing Simon and still being very careful. Like, it all was still so fragile like glass in that moment.

When Wille made breakfast for Simon and the boy didn't want it, suddenly being very reserved towards Wille. The change in the mood after their kiss at the ball must be confusing.

Ugh... "all the things he said, all the things he said, running through my head" moment. Like Simon said lots of hurtful (still true) things to Wilhelm, and I am sorry for the kid bc it can hurt two times more when you really believe you doing things with a good will... I was watching that moment with sympathy for the kid. He believed he was doing the right thing and he really tried to administer justice towards August.

Him panicking and getting totally none of a response to it by Jan Olof and the other man. Like "you don't have to be sorry" would be nice to hear in this situation.

When he learnt August is his back-up.

I am proud of his reaction though - breathing and dealing with the news. Like before, kind of similar situation to that one in season 1 episode 6, but the reaction and also Kristina's emphasis on being in this together as a mother-son family, made it really different. They can do it. I believe it.

But later on I'm watching this scene and now as I am thinking about that...I might got manipulated just as Wilhelm. The way he said that his Mom is counting on him and therefore he should be doing all those things, the Royal Court want him to do, and yet it's so difficult for him. I mean I see a 16yo boy, but at the same time he talks and looks way more younger child. You can see that he loves his family so much too and cares for them, but the official role part is really messing ways of showing that.

When he was harsh for himself, being annoyed with the characters choices in the "Kris".

When everything started to collapse bc Simon didn't change his mind about going to police.

This whole sequence.

Oh, the longing. His thrive for the touch.

They shouldn't be scared!!! They're still children!!! I can't.

Yeah, I mean... Somehow my heart is even more broken for Wille here than for Simon, probably bc he's not stopping himself anymore from being that close to another boy. I know that Young Royals is not exactly about that (internal) struggle, but thinking about him in season 1 - all the pushing and pressure to have it in control, not let himself kiss Simon then kissing him, not wanting to be more than friends, then liking him too much for that, then all the video thing. He really wanted to be close to Simon, and here he finally was without stopping himself!!! And all their future was so unknown and scary. God!

The most painful thing about Geto's story for me is seeing his change from the beginning up until the moment before his death.

Probably it's because I watched the flashback in its chronological order (Season 2 Ep. 1-5 --> JJK 0 Movie), so I could get a better view and feels of his transition.

When he was still a student, putting aside all the shenanigans he pulled with Gojo and his other friends, we saw Geto as someone logical and level-headed. He has ethics, morals, and responsibility. To put it simply, if there's someone in that world who understand "with great power comes great responsibility" the most, it would be Geto.

Even after the trauma of witnessing those cult members happily giving standing ovation to Riko's death, he was still level-headed. He was in a dilemma, he was depressed, he started to hate and question "why do I have to protect these people at the cost of my comrades/my own kin?" But he still retained his logics and level-headedness.

Even at the very last seconds before he snapped upon seeing Mimiko-Nanako being tortured by the villagers, he was still trying to speak and explain things to them instead of just instantly went on a rampage on the spot. Had those people not insist on slandering and accusing Mimiko-Nanako, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't explode and massacred the entire village.

To be honest, when I watched the movie, the Geto Suguru who has become a cult leader who hated all non-sorcerers looks like a fake personality to me. Everything he said and did was the exact opposite of all the principles and moral values he used to speak of in the past. Throughout the movie, I kept asking myself "huh, is this really the same person?"

But his "fake personality" here wasn't meant to deceive other people. In fact, for me, I feel like he's actually been deceiving himself into believing that this is indeed the correct path for his life, the one he had chosen, and the one best for him.

Why did I say this? Because actually, even when he was falling into depression and ended up a villain, his true/real personality never actually disappeared.

Geto is a very caring and nurturing person. When asked if he wanted a sweet or savory snacks as souvenir, he didn't think about what he himself wanted but "Oh, I have a friend who likes sweets and he usually gets some, as well, so better get the sweet ones."

Despite already "fixing" himself into the villain role, he still took care of Mimiko and Nanako properly. He was like, what, 17-18 years old when he met them and he actually raised them into fine, healthy, proper young girls — outside of their hatred for non-sorcerers (which was caused by their personal childhood experience, so that's understandable).

And this real personality of his finally came out again near the end of the movie right before he died, when there was only Gojo there with him to listen to him speak about what he'd truly been feeling all this time.

When Geto said there was no way he could truly be happy/smile from the bottom in his heart in this world, IMO it's his most honest feelings. Because no matter which path he took, his internal conflict would never disappear for as long as he lived.

In canon, he took the most extreme way of eradicating all non-sorcerers. But had he not become a villain like this, had he chosen to live "normally," graduating from school, becoming a proper Jujutsu sorcerer, perhaps becoming a teacher with Gojo, his dilemma would persist when watching his comrades and students getting hurt and dying to protect the ignorant non-sorcerers every day.

And I'm sure he has already considered that possibility, as well, at some point before his death.

Geto Suguru isn't the kind of villain who wholeheartedly believed that he is in the right. IMO, he educated Mimiko-Nanako and his family (Miguel cs) into believing in the "justice" of Jujutsu Sorcerer Supremacy more for himself, to convince himself over and over again to stay in the path he already chose to take. Because deep down in his heart, he knew that there are actually other ways he could take — but he is already too far gone to turn around (and it's not like choosing a different route will give a better result because as I've explained above and he himself said, he already knows that there is no way he can truly be happy in this world).

This is a character who only appeared for not even 20 chapters in the manga; he also only got like 5 episodes + 1 movie in the anime. But his depth, background, and personality is that solid and his presence is that strong despite only existing in Gojo's flashback.

Beyond ships and all romantic headcanons out there, to be honest, if there is no Geto Suguru, I think the current Gojo Satoru now would not exist.

Yes, Gojo may still become the strongest sorcerer. Yes, he may still become a teacher and fight for the good purposes.

But he wouldn't have come to that much realization just how rotten the morality, regulations, and bureaucracy in the Jujutsu world is, to the point that he decided to dedicate himself to that extent to raise and nurture a new generation of sorcerers who can bring change to that rotten world.

(Disclaimer: Obviously, this is my personal opinion, so no need to take it as the truth and it's perfectly fine if you think differently. ^^)

Short Nocturn in Gotham prompt

I have an idea, and no brain space for it so here ya go. If anyone makes a story off this, please tag me!

This is a dp x dc crossover. And Anger Management because I’m obsessed with Jazz x Jason.

Jazz lives in Gotham, and works as a psychologist for Arkham. Things are going as normal as can be expected for Gotham and an Amity Parker. She’s only dealt with a few muggings and kept her head down because she’s Liminal! and doesn’t want to get the attention of a certain group of vigilantes.

What if Nocturn came to Gotham? (I don’t remember much of the episode so hopefully this tracks)

I would personally start it out trying to trick the reader. (Sorry, It’s fun!) A cute chapter or 2, where Jazz and Jason are together. So normal. Super accepting of each other. With so much fluff it hurts. But slowly, as the story goes on, more and more things seem off. Like déjà vu, like she’s done this before?? (Kind of similar to the vibe of that one Doctor Who episode where Donna Noble gets saved to the Library database. I can’t remember if it’s a 2 part episode? I think it’s called Silence in the Library??? I don’t know, and I’m not looking it up. If you see River Song’s first episode with David Tennant’s Doctor then you’ve got the right one. I think.) Jazz just slowly sees inconsistencies, and brushes them off at first. Hey, she deserves a chance to be happy, okay?! But as time goes on, there are just too many to ignore. She has a nagging feeling something’s not right and briefly wonders if it’s a ghost. But the only one that makes sense is Nocturn and he can’t be in Gotham right? Right??!

When she discovers Jason’s Red Hood, the revelation almost shocks her awake (total mistake on Nocturn’s part. He thought the vigilante thing would keep her asleep or deepen her sleep since it’s kinda normal for her with her brother). She does some quick thinking as she feels herself waking up, and yep, it’s definitely Nocturn, and decides she needs help stopping him. Makes a plan. Not a great one, but hey, it was last second. Literally.

Meanwhile Jason POV shows he’s struggling with believing it too. Thinks she’s too good to be true. (I don’t know anything about the DC universe. I’m going off of the fic Friendly Neighborhood Vigilante by @gilbirda Go check it out, it’s amazing!) And when she discovers he’s Red Hood, she does something ghostly (prolly eyes or strong stuff) and he’s like holy crap she’s a meta, and before he’s had a chance to process anything she says something like “Come find me when you wake up.” (gives me Edge of Tomorrow: Live. Die. Repeat. vibes which just feels fitting here) and shoots him in the chest right before shooting herself (non lethal bullets cause what if you can die in your dream?) and that shocks him awake.

She wakes up at her desk in Arkham to find out that all of Gotham is asleep. Thankfully this includes the villains. (But not for long!)

Does she call Danny or try to deal with it herself?

Is Danny the Ghost King?

Does Jason actually go or does Jazz have to find him?

She’s definitely questioning whether what she had with Jason was real. He does the same with her. Personally, I would keep Batman asleep for a lot of it but that’s because I know nothing about him aside from Wayne Family Adventures (which I’ve been told doesn’t count), the classic old show I watch when I’m sick, and a few episodes from Batman: The Brave and The Bold. Also Young Justice, but that was years ago. Before season 3.

If they have nightmares:

Would Jason’s nightmare be the Joker killing him?

Maybe Jazz’s nightmare is about Dan trying to kill her? Or coming back?

And that’s all I got. Maybe I’ll try to write something eventually, but right now my heart is heavy and my brain is fog. So if you have any ideas, go for it and tag me! I would love to know how you would change/finish it!

Turning poison into positivity

Now that I had time to process the last episode of season 2 of OFMD, took out my anger and frustration out on few dick-ish customers at work (they deserved it!), took on vaping in the span of one day (not very good for my health but that's just life). I can finally focus on the show itself and what I did love about it.

I loved it as a whole because we finally got what we fans yearned for for years sometimes, I know I have. Love between two characters without judgement of the outside, where their journey is not too colorized but painted in various color of life - like heartbreak, hurt, love, anger, sadness, hope, excitement and so on.

We finally got many characters we can relate to without fear of being told we see too much into something. What we see is what we get (most of the time but let's not let poison back in)

I enjoyed Roach this season, he was more sure of himself, tried to take command of the Blackbeards crew, be their balast so to speak.

Archie is very nice addition, I liked her character, she's a bit like me, doesn't hide from a fight and can kick ass when needs to but can be soft when needs too. What I missed this season is where and when they picked her up. Hopefully when Season 3 happens we will get that information and a bit more of her backstory

Zheng, well I don't know what to think of her, her character is okay, too short of a season to really pass out judgement. I neither loved her nor hated her. She was just there.

Absolutely fell in love with Wee John this season and his seagoddess Calypso! You can't not fall in love with him for that!

Stede and Ed both went through a journey. Stede of course from a child to a young adult and Ed from angry hurt man, to finding peace of mind, at least some form of a peace. He learned thanks to Fang how to center himself, how to quiet himself which in turn will help him keep his more negative emotions at bay.

The season as a whole was very good alas a bit too short but what can we do on cut budget right? If only I had million to spare I'd gladly pay for the next season myself and get 20+ 40 minutes episodes

What are my hopes for the next season?

Well, as I mentioned in one of my previous posts I'd love for Mary, Doug and the kids to come back and meet Ed and the rest of the crew.

Now that we know that the weasel of a prince is out there, I hope the Revenge crew alongside Stede and Ed will hunt him down and serve justice to him for what he did to Izzy. Hopefully it's going to be a theme for the next season - the REVENGE.

As to anything else...

a dance between Stede and Ed, we need to see that and since THAT LOOK of Ed's toward Stede at Lucius and Pete wedding, I can safely bet we would get a wedding dance between these two - if we are lucky

Izzy coming back

Stede and Ed taking on a responsibility for another person - a child. Just like Ed was somehow taken care of by pirates after running away after killing his father it would be interesting to see his take on someone young and in need with Stede helping him. Let's not forget Stede has some experience in taking care of for children

Stede and Ed renovating that shack into an Inn. I'd love to see some of the process, even as a montage

the Revenge crew visiting them on their island, getting them supplies, having parties etc

THE TALK - I need them to talk through their emotions, their grief

This is more like a speculation but I'd not be surprised if Ricky the dick went after Stede's family as a Revenge. Which paints a interesting plot IMHO

Bounty of Sneezes

Fandom: Red Dead Redemption 2 Summary: Slightly pre-events of Red Dead Redemption 2, Arthur is heading out on a bounty job and seems to be coming down with a cold. Luckily he has some help. CW: period typical gun violence, some mess, cold sneezes Word Count: 2,391 words MINORS DNI Author Note: i had an ask a long time ago i am so sorry for something rdr2 related and i hope this will do and i hope i did the cowboys justice bc i had to just keep picking at it. also i make no apologies for subjecting you all to my equine bullshit.

The change in seasons from summer to fall had always been challenging for Arthur, both as a young man and as an older one. Bounty hunting wasn’t exactly easy work either, but it was good pay, which the gang needed right now. Money. A lot of it. So, Arthur would do what he always did. Provide. Pull his weight. Because that’s what he was to them. A workhorse.

While everyone else was sitting comfortably down near Pike’s Basin, Arthur had chased a bounty up in Tall Trees. The chill of the air got worse as he followed the lower Montana River further up North. The bite of the air was starting to make his nose run.

Although, come to think of it… his nose had already been running when he left camp this morning. He sniffled again, just as he’d been doing all last night while trying to pick his way through Pearson’s threadbare stew. Gathering up the edge of his coat sleeve, Arthur swiped at his nose tiredly.

He knew he was about due for his annual cold, and it hitting now that he was away from the rest of the gang was probably for the best. Lest the rest of them get sick because of him and blame him for going around camp with everyone in such close quarters. A subtle itch had started somewhere in the back of his left nostril, and Arthur grunted as he shifted in the saddle, sniffling to try and disrupt it.

The sniffling didn’t seem to be doing him any good, so he briefly stood, readjusting in the saddle before sitting a little deeper and pulling his thick, blue coat closer. He’d woken up cold this morning, too. No surprise there. Arthur naturally ran hot, but when he was sick? He froze over. Squeezing his hands into fists on the reins and then stretching them out again, Arthur tried to ignore the growing itch that was building in his sinuses now.

It was starting to make his nose run worse, and he cleared his throat a little, wincing at the sharp and grating pain that tore through his throat from the action. He swallowed, wincing when that hurt, too. This time, he brought a hand off the reins to scrub a little more roughly at his nose with a finger, causing a soft sort of squelching noise that made him grimace. Still, it did nothing to alleviate the itch, and his other hand began to brace on the horn of his saddle in preparation for what was to come, his heels pressing down a little more just in case his horse spooked.

The poor creature beneath him was new. Still learning. Arthur was still learning her, too. He didn’t know if he could trust her not to spook at his sneezes. The sound of another set of hooves coming up behind him at a fast-paced trot briefly caught his attention, but Arthur was quickly becoming all too consumed with the coldish tickle niggling at his nose.

“God daahh… ax’TSHHiuh! Snff! Huh…” Arthur pitched forward in the saddle, bending at the waist, careful not to jerk back on the reins as he pressed them flat to the crest of his mare’s neck. Said mare nickered anxiously, tail lashing up and down at the sudden sound of the sneeze while starting to sidestep off the road. “Easy, girl. Woah. You’re alright… Just a sneeze.”

“Some sneeze.” And if that wasn’t the most irritating voice in all creation, Arthur Morgan didn’t want to hear today of all days. “I’d say you nearly fell out yer damn saddle, Arthur.” Because, of course, John Marston had to have followed him up here on Old Boy.

The elder outlaw gave a gruff sort of huff and sniffled once again, able to feel the congestion in his nose threatening to leak. “If anyone’s going flying out of their damn saddle, it’s you, Marston.” He snapped back, his mood only soured more by a blanket of exhaustion that was settling on him. “Thought I left you back at camp.”

By now, John and Old Boy were matching pace with Arthur and his mare, riding beside him on the road. “You did. Dutch sent me out here after you. Said we could use some brotherly bonding time.” He sounded just as bitter about it as Arthur felt. The two hadn’t exactly been on the best of terms lately, given John’s disappearance that Arthur had taken somewhat personally, not just as a hit to Abagail, Jack, and the gang. There were plenty of complicated feelings Arthur had brewing for the outlaw he once treated like a younger brother.

“Dutch should know better. I do this kind of work alone.” Arthur growled, but it only served to irritate his throat further, making him turn from John to cough roughly into a gloved fist. He could feel John’s eyes on him as the coughing tapered off, and he patted his mare’s neck, sliding a hand under her mane to keep it warm. Then he turned his eyes back to the road and surrounding trees, pretending to ignore John.

For a few brief moments, there was just the sound of hoofbeats on the dirt road before Marston spoke up. “Because you’re just so damn capable…” He muttered, and the words were distinctly bitter now, instantly stoking that ember of anger in Arthur.

“The hell is that supposed to mean?” The blonde snarled back before he had to dissolve into another fit of coughing, this time leaning against his saddle horn for support. His mare danced off to the side skittishly, and Arthur rubbed her neck as the fit died off, leaving him feeling distinctly more tired after each one.

By the time Arthur could look over at John, the younger outlaw was leaning to reach back into his left saddle bag. “That.” His voice was that same rasp it always had been since the brunette hit puberty. “You’re sick. Same damn time as last year. You think I don’t remember? You always get sick around this time of year, Arthur. We’ve practically been brothers for how long now?”

A scoff left Arthur, and he took one end of his reins to smack Marston’s leg with it for his meddling. “I ain’t sick, Marston. Just ride along back to camp and tell Dutch I sent you h-home.” The itch was back but in the opposite side of his sinuses now, making itself known much faster than the last tickle. So much so Arthur barely had time to grab the saddle horn and make sure he kept his reins low as his whole body jerked with the sudden sneeze. “Eh’TSHXuh! EXXtsh! Woah! Easy, girl!”

Quick as a flash, Arthur was going from sneezing to soothing his nearly spooked mare while driving his heels toward the dirt like his life depended on it. The horse below him had taken off at an anxious lope as if trying to escape the sudden explosions from her rider. “Ahh, easy- woah, come on now, girl. Nothin’ to be scared of.” John on Old Boy kept pace just behind them as Arthur eased his horse back to a walk.

“So… you ain’t sick?” John checked as he pulled up beside Arthur again with a smug smirk.

Arthur grimaced and rolled his eyes. “Shut up. Why’s it matter? I’ve worked jobs sick before.” Once again, his wrist came up to rub at his nose with a thicker sniffle now, every rub causing a wet squelch. If he wasn’t careful, he would be more congested than when he’d had a cold over Christmas.

When Arthur looked over, he spotted a bottle in Marston’s hands that looked like a tonic of some sort. “Because usually there’s a whole posse behind you, right?” It was like John was trying to direct him in a particular train of thinking, and Arthur was just too damn sick and tired for it.

It did earn a semi-congested snort of amusement from Arthur, who hastily had to press his wrist back to his nose and sniffle. “Contrary to what you might believe, Marston, I ain’t like you. I pull my weight. I run jobs by myself all the damn time.”

“Shuddup, ain’t like that-” John defended instantly.

Arthur fixed him with a stern glare but did down the tonic before continuing. “You wasn’t even in camp for a damn year!” The thought did occur to Arthur that talking this loud while tracking a bounty this close maybe wasn’t such a good idea. “You came back for two or three big jobs. Couldn’t e-ehh…” His voice trailed off as his breath hitched that itch coming back.

Suddenly, though, John slowed down his stallion while reaching for Arthur’s reins. “Arthur, not now-” For some reason, John’s voice seemed to have gotten quiet.

Tears of irritation formed in Arthur’s eyes as the itch prickled and brushed through the most sensitive parts of his nose. The ticklish sensation was strong enough to make his mouth fall open as he hitched, “Hehh-! Eh-!”

“Arthur-!” John’s voice was an urgent hiss now as Arthur’s mare began to prance beneath him. Something was wrong, very wrong, but he couldn’t-

“EXT’shhiew! HiT’SHiew!” There was the sudden chaos of six shots ringing out, and Arthur gasped as he choked up on the reins as his horse reared before well and genuinely bolting. Old Boy did just the same as the bounty they’d been searching for came guns blazing from the brush.

Element of surprise gone, Arthur threw a leg over his horse’s back and dismounted before she could run too far. He stumbled a little on the landing but drew his revolver before ducking behind a tree. “Come out, Treva! Wanted poster said dead or alive! Don’t care how we get the money!”

Another three shots hit the tree he was hiding behind, and Arthur looked around for Marston, wondering if they could get this fool to run out of lead and reload. He spotted the younger outlaw moving in closer and shook his head, waving a little before motioning to call out.

“What’s the matter, Treva? Too chicken shit to come find us? We’re on our way to finding you!” John called; not exactly wrong either. He’d been well on his way to getting close.

One shot whizzed by Arthur’s hiding place on the left, then on the right. Just barely clipping the edges of the tree and sending shrapnel of bark flying in every direction. Treva could aim, but could he reload fast enough once he’d shot that last round? Arthur took off his hat and stuck it on the end of his revolver, nodding to John just before peeking it out from behind his tree.

Crack. With a hole in Arthur’s hat, John made his move and launched from his own hiding place. Arthur stuffed his hat back on, sniffling back the mess threatening to run down his lip, and went to follow. By the time Arthur made it to John, Treva was out cold, and Marston was preparing to tie him up.

“You got ‘em, Marston?” Arthur crackled out, sniffling and rubbing his gloved hand against his bright red nose. It already felt like that tonic was wearing off.

John pulled the binds tight and nodded. “All set. Just gotta get him to town.” He stood and hauled their bounty over his shoulder, both men whistling for their horses. “You should get a room in the town when we drop him with some of the money. I’m sure Dutch won’t mind…”

Arthur glared at the younger gang member as he caught his horse by the reins, soothing her gently. “Bullshit. We oughta drop him and get back.” He said gruffly, putting a foot in the stirrup to haul himself back into the saddle. Now that the action was over, his nose was still running, and Arthur could still feel that prickling tickle teasing at the back of his sinuses. “Hhh…”

They rode silently for a while, Arthur still struggling against that incessant sensation in his nose. It was like an entire feather pillow had been stuffed in his nose, tickling and blustering about as if in a dust storm. He squeezed his saddle horn and pressed his heels down, “Heh-eh! EXt’Shhuh! Hhh… hih-! Hh! HDt’SHH! Christ alive!”

Thankfully, given his outbursts this time, his mare seemed to only toss her head in displeasure. He patted her neck and sniffled thickly, exhaustion weighing heavily on him as he followed her motions without conscious thought. Riding was second nature in this business. He could do it while sleeping, let alone while sick as a dog, and if Arthur spent enough time with one of his mounts, they became quite the pair working in sync with one another.

“Bless you,” John mumbled under his breath, and Arthur grunted a quiet “Thanks” in reply. It continued on in much a similar fashion until they reached town. Their bounty was delivered without complaint, though Arthur found himself on the receiving end of more than a few curious sets of eyes watching him. Townsfolk were always suspicious of strangers riding in.

It was not uncommon, but now he suspected it was because of how poorly he was beginning to feel and look. He stayed mounted in his saddle while John handled everything inside. It felt like he wouldn’t get back up once he dismounted. He was too exhausted from it all. He just wanted to make camp, maybe have a fire, fall asleep, anything to rest and warm his bones.

A shiver ran through him, and Arthur huddled further into his coat, rubbing his raw, chapped nose against the wool lining with a gurgling sniff.

“That don’t sound too good.”

John had appeared at his side, offering him his cut from their bounty job, which he took and stuffed directly into his satchel with a nod. “You’re tellin’ me.” He rasps back and winces. “We should go.”

“No. You should rest. Abagail will kill me if she finds out I let you ride back like this.” Without any more warning, Arthur suddenly felt himself being dragged from the saddle. He protested halfheartedly, stumbling as he tried to find his footing once on the ground. “We’re gettin’ a room. C’mon.”

And without another word, the two outlaws set off for the closest hotel.

Rebels S2 Reflection

Like with season 1, I really do appreciate this season a lot more than on my first viewing. So many episodes I glossed over to get to Maul or other familiar characters were actually phenomenal. “Legacy” and “Legends of the Lasat” were two in particular that I have a new appreciation for. Even characters like Ketsu were a lot cooler than I remember.

Rex and Ahsoka’s journeys throughout this season really stuck out to me. Both are haunted by their pasts yet still try and fight. Ahsoka grieves the loss of Anakin while Rex and Kanan butt heads because of the horror that was Order 66.

Ezra also grows this season, learning to accept that his parents are gone. However, his pain makes him vulnerable and thus the perfect tool for Maul. Ezra is hurting and desires to rain justice down on his enemies. But he is young and still learning to manage these complex emotions. Season 2′s ending with the opening of the Sith holocron perfectly sets up Ezra’s journey in season 3.

I also loved a lot of the action this season. There were some great lightsaber fights and a lot of cool moments. My fave will always be Ahsoka vs. Vader and anytime Maul joins the fight.

Overall, S2 really raises the stakes for our heroes. Ahsoka and Rex brought a lot of heart to the season, the inquisitors were a fun group of villains, the return of Maul and his undying love for revenge, and we finally where it all began for Kalluzeb (I love those two so much). Thank you for joining me and I look forward to start S3, which is my fave and the grand entrance my fave space blueberry.

Zenyatta Quirk Idea: Harmony & Discord. The user has two metallic orbs that they can apply to themself or others. One increases a person's healing ability greatly, letting them recover from attacks within less than a minute. The other, however, decreases a person's healing ability, making them much more susceptible to being hurt. The drawback is that only one of each exists and if one is active, so too must the other be. If the user wants to heal someone, someone else has to be weakened.

Any quirks based on Jin's side effect from World Trigger? since Foresight exists I think this is a possibility. One I'm kinda thinking about is a quirk that just foresees how you die with little to no context.

Could you help me out with this quirk idea please! My idea is a cloning quirk based on fission. The clones bodies would kind of split off from the user. Each of the clones are capable of independent thought, feeling and action, although they have a mental link, and if one gets hurt, they all feel it. I’d say the clones have half the durability as the user and they can only create 35.

It’s either I go with that idea or have the user create only one clone that has half the durability, and that clone can do the same thing. The clones would have their own autonomy and they would share a mental link.

Flipping the script on the Ben 10 alien asks you get, how about a Quirk for Dr Aloysius Animo? A constant thorn in Ben's side, up until recently I thought his name was pronounced alloy-see-us rather than aloe-ish-us. I think a build-a-beast Quirk or one that mutates and hybridizes animals would be cool!

hello! would you have any ideas for a drawback of a quirk user that can spawn limbs on any surface? the user can use them (and see through them if they were an eye, for example) but they can only be spawned if the user is nearby. i imagine that one of the drawbacks could be that they can feel pain from those limbs, but i can't think of anything else. thank you for all the quirk stuff you do! your brain is very big :D

So I got this idea for a luck based power.

Good luck bad luck is an emitter quirk that allows the user to grant a person they make direct skin contact with to get a bout of good luck such as getting a perfect score on a hard test, scoring a lot of points in a sports event, winning a lottery ticket, etc. However, the bad luck will kick in and undermine the good luck. Going by the examples, they forgot to put their name down and lost a single point, they pulled a muscle after they scored and had to sit out the rest of the game, the wind blew the ticket out of their hand into a puddle. After the bad luck, the effect wears off. The bad luck won’t do anything life threatening, a minor injury is the worst thing that would happen and it only undermines the good luck. User can only affect one person at a time and can only use it again once the bad luck happens and they don’t know when

RIDERS OF BERK | HTTYD SERIES | HICCUP X ASTRID

Blog Post Series : HICCUP X ASTRID

Title : HEATHER REPORT I & II

Ep/Season : Episode 10 & 11, Season 1 (Riders of Berk)

Premise :

A young girl washes up on the shores of Berk. But is she, who she says she is, or is she someone else completely?

PERSONAL TAKE:

I have to admit, that when I first watched this episode, like the very first time, I did not like it. On a whole, I just didn’t like the addition of Heather into the group. And I didn’t notice the nuanced approach it was going for. That this episode was actually more on Astrid.

The movies don’t go into detail about anyone else’s character apart from Hiccup and Toothless. So, it’ll be a waste if you’re a fan of the franchise and not have any opportunity to enjoy the personalities of the other characters. Hence, why ROB will be a treat for you.

You see, these 2 episodes dive into (1) Hicstrid’s first conflict, (2) Astrid having to prove herself; (3) Hiccup learning the lesson, trust Astrid.

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT :

HICCUP HORRENDOUS HADDOCK III & ASTRID HOFFERSON

(1) HICSTRID’S FIRST CONFLICT

Hiccup is all too trusting. On the other hand, Astrid is all too suspicious. Her intuition and ability to read motives make her a pivotal member of the groups decision making process and is indicative of the kind of soldier she is.

They need to balance each other out. While Heather was in fact, a “spy”, she was also someone in grave danger. So, Hiccup wasn’t all too wrong about Heather, but he should’ve also listened to Astrid and maybe get to know Heather a bit more before trusting her with all their dragon secrets.

(2) ASTRID’S LEAD

Astrid called it. We know she will be proven right towards the end of Episode 10. And we can only see Hiccup feeling horrible for what happened.

Note: Can we also take a minute to appreciate the shark rug, which serves like a sleeping bag? The creativity in this show is endless.

But it was also a season for Astrid to trust her dragon. In spite of her suspicions, Stormfly allowed Heather to ride her. We know the dragons are smarter than that, and bribery wouldn’t work w them, especially since Deadly Nadders are fiercely loyal. So, if Stormfly knew Heather was going to hurt Astrid, her senses would’ve pinned Heather as an enemy.

I loved Astrid’s plan to dress up as Heather to retrieve the Book of Dragons. Tenacious thy name is Astrid. She is courageous and creative in battle strategy and mind-games. She very cleverly talked her way into an audience with Alvin, was quick-thinking and intelligent, remembering what she learned from Snotlout to deal w the wild monstrous nightmare.

Also, another thing Astrid learned was, that there was more than meets the eye. There was a reason to Heather’s betrayal.

Astrid bravely change the mission in hopes to save Heather’s parents despite what Heather did to her. Astrid is compassionate as well. She isn’t ruthless. She knows what’s right and what’s wrong. Her innate sense of justice is strong, making her a hero.

This is the kind of feminist stance I love to see. Being a feminist is more than life independent on men, but on core characteristics that make her human. The flaws to accentuate the lesson and the strengths to carry through resolve.

(3) HICCUP’S LESSON

Have you ever seen Hiccup so angry? OK, yes we have, but honestly, this made me love the episode. Hiccup getting angry. I feel like, this was where Hiccup’s respect for Astrid took on a whole new meaning.

Especially that scene when Heather and the Book of Dragons were falling from the sky, and when Snotlout claimed that he was “going after the girl,” Hiccup very determinately said that “I’m going after the book!” As if to mean, whatever the case may be, I’m so done w this girl.

Personally, I don’t think Hiccup ever waivered in his feelings for Astrid. I don’t think he was ever romantically interested w Heather, just intrigued. Also, he found someone to geek out about dragons w, that’s like Hiccup nib, if we’re being honest. And we know, that with Astrid, his chance to geek out has limits. That’s probably why in RTTE, he nerds out w Fishlegs and not Astrid.

You can see that he was much gentler w Astrid in Episode 11. And the little smirk and gentle look he gave to Astrid before she left on the mission felt like a longing to say something more than he could. We know that Hiccup will always be there for Astrid and Hiccup has learned the valuable lesson to trust Astrid.

GROWTH FOR THE TEAM

These two episodes would lead up to the riders first mission. They had to work as a team to defeat Alvin and retrieve the Book. Even to work together to protect or save Astrid.

They worked on a plan and practiced it. E.G. the fiery spikes formed by a combination of Hookfang’s fire and Stormfly’s spikes.

Their first mission was successful, messy, but successful. And Heather is the first civilian they saved.

A/N:

Heyyo, in honour of binging like 4 seasons of criminal minds during peak exam season, I thought I'd write a story for it. This OC has been living in my head rent-free for quite a while and I finally found a place to put her so yay. Get ready for heaps of tragedy and angst lol. I am looking forward to this story and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it. The story will be set starting season 1 and onwards.

I was gonna have a ships collage chapter but then I realized that may be a bit spoilery so I guess I'll just say that in addition to our main ship, we'll have Hotchniss (I adore them with all my heart), a very badass sapphic couple, and a few others. Hope you enjoy :)

Also, I would absolutely love to hear yall's thoughts on the story as we go along, it really motivates me to write and I get a sense of what yall might wanna see more/less of. I suck at writing summaries but hopefully, the synopsis wasn't too bad lol.

Hey I know you haven't answered my first one but I got another one right now and I couldn't wait: sleep flying: one night (10 year old) Jon, instead of going back to his home, decides to stay at mount Justice and sleep with his older brother: (Young Justice tv series season 1) Conner. Conner initially doesn't know what to think but is happy to have Jon sleep with him. When it's bedtime and the two go to sleep Conner wakes up in the middle of the night and notices Jon not next to him but here's mumbling and looks up seeing his little brother on the ceiling while still asleep:

1: externally how shocked is Connor internally how much is he freaking out?

2: not wanting to wake his brother up but no he can't leave him up there does Conner use his powers and if so what does he use?

3: when Jon floats up to the top again does Conner scheme something to keep Jon to the bed and if so what does he scheme?

4: seeing that his scheme failed and Jon is on the ceiling again dose Conner shout at Jon to wake him up.

5: Jon totally shocked by the sudden shout.

6: with the shock does Jon start plummeting down to the floor and if so how fast does Connor react to keep his brother from hitting the floor and what does he do?

1) Externally, Conner raises an eyebrow while internally he’s thinking “Oh Dear, better get him down soon before he gets himself hurt” with a totally Doesn’t Know What to Do tone to it

2) He likely would, mainly using his strength to quietly move and lift some of his bedroom items to build a makeshift ladder to climb on to get to Jon and lower him down

3) Oh I can definitely see him rigging up some sting gently on Jon’s ankles and hands to keep him tied to the bed should he start floating, making it easier for Conner to keep him in his arms.

4) With no other choice, Conner lets out a fine and crisp “Jon, Wake Up!” Which no doubt can reach Jon’s ears accordingly, leading to…

5) Jon quickly snapping awake so fast his ability to float in the air drops and he flops straight into Conner on the bed with a thud

6) Thankfully Conner was able to catch his brother of said fall, cushioning the landing depute that immediate weight now lying flat on Conner’s torso. Jon is basically left stupefied and asking with an innocent tone “Was I too loud on my sleep again?” Conner though is a forgiving sort for Jon as he comes to tell him what happened and how they can work on it

I got a message on reddit the other day following another warmup comic I had posted onto an anime subreddit. To paraphrase his question "Why the hell do you ship Hol Horse and Applejack?" I had a short and sweet answer in "Opposites Attract" but I decided to instead edit an essay I'd written prior. So here it is, the updated version of the Holjack essay! Episode citations weren't included in the original response, but those will be in [green text brackets], while any outside remarks will be in [normal text brackets.]

I've been shipping it for years now as I immensely love both series, but it initially started as a light musing gag: "What if a cowboy fell in love with a cowpony?"

Hol Horse stuck out in my mind because on the surface they're polar opposites: Applejack is brave, honest and hardworking while Hol Horse is cowardly, dishonest and lazy. But when I went to dig in further...

There's the question of his Stand, the Emperor, based off the Major Arcana. Upright, it represents paternal leadership. Reversed, it represents instability and stubbornness; what he first appears to be, having a strong philosophy in being #2 and refusing to fight without a partner otherwise. [The Hanged Man, Part 1 and 2]

He almost joined the Crusaders twice but relented due to his overwhelming fear of DIO. [Justice, Part 2]

But it's around the fight where he partners up with Boingo, where we see more of the gentler side behind the jerk facade. [Hol Horse and Boingo Part 1] He makes sure Boingo is near him at all times, gave him a coin purse in case got lost, and a cute little detail noticed upon re-watches: Hol Horse never says any swear word stronger than "damn" or "hell" around him. And this particular detail was noticeably adapted from the manga in official translations.

On that note, Boingo isn't shy (through Thoth's interference) about letting Hol Horse know he's not all too keen on him.

And yet, despite the circumstances he was under, he never used the word "Hate"; It's a stronger word for a child. ("He's mean and a jerk!" subbed, "He's mean, and I don't like him!" dubbed).

Counting Crazy Diamond's Demonic Heartbreak/the Hol Horse Josuke spin off, Hol Horse ran away with Boingo from the hospital without another thought during the final battle. [Crazy Diamond's Demonic Heartbreak, Chapter 10]

[Assuming you don't have as much knowledge on MLP... ]

Applejack is part of the Elements of Harmony, representing Honesty. She values it greatly, though it could be argued she values her family more.

Early on in the series, when given the opportunity to attend a gala, she sees it more as a means to earn more money for her family as a food vendor than attending as a guest. [Season One; The Ticket Master, Best Night Ever]

Holding responsibilities in the highest regard, near the point where it hurts her at times [Season One; AppleBuck Season] it takes a lot of coaxing to get her to even accept the smallest bit of help, given her stubbornness. [Season Two; The Last Roundup]

This became less of an issue for her in later seasons, but her stubbornness remained a prominent part of her character. [Season Four; Bats] In her little sister Applebloom's words: "Applejack keeps us all organized and does her part on top of that!" [Season Four; Pinkie Apple Pie]

After her parents died at a young age, the farm became most of her world. She keeps a wary eye for the sake of her friends, but there comes a point where her friends helped streamline her chores due to her living in the routine that there was something wrong in them. (I.E the gate still being squeaky and scaring the pigs, although neither had been the case for a while.) [Season Six; Applejack's Day Off]

Her grandma's getting older, her brother is a selective mute, and she knows how much ambition her little sister has in terms of finding her own destiny. She had no other choice.

It's even noted by Pinkie Pie that she has a tendency to bottle emotions/ "crying on the inside." [Season 5; Tanks for the Memories] the only notable one that flares out being anger.

I feel as though they would compliment each other nicely in terms of growth- Hol Horse softens up a bit on being a tryhard to compensate for his lack of self confidence and Applejack shoulders less responsibility without guilt and accepts doing more for herself. Both coming to terms with how they'd been hurt and supporting each other in healing. Oki dokes got to better articulate why I love em so much, take some panels from Part 1 of my most recent comic, a panel from the warm-up comic and a little doodle~

All Tomorrows/Killer Folk AU: Clara-Marie

Facts: Current Redesign (W/o jacket or hat)

To say Clara-Marie was dealt a bad hand would be an understatement. Born as a member of the Accursed to parents who were also Accursed, Clara-Marie's life was set up to be one of pain and disappointment. The youngest of a liter of four, she was the only Accursed child born to the Accursed circus performers Ramiro and Lara. As a result, the owner of the circus used her as an attraction with Ramiro only able to get the bare minimum protections for her. (i.e.: No one is allowed to touch her) From infancy, Clara-Marie was set up as an observable attraction that guests could ogle and gawk at. This has lead to life-long scopophobia (fear of being stared at). While life wasn't great, her parents tried their best. They made certain that their children knew that they were loved and cared for. Often using what little they had to bring joy and happiness to their small family. It all ended when Clara-Marie was roughly half a season old (around 3-4 earth years old). Raiders, the so-called Sons of Xibalba, a religious extremist sect that believed universal prosperity would only happen if the Accursed were eradicated, found out about the circus and decided to deliver "righteous justice" by making examples of the circus and its members.

It was a massacre. Clara-Marie's family was slaughtered. Her father attempted to hide here and her siblings while her mother gave them time to no avail. The only reason Clara-Marie survived it because the son that found her couldn't bring themselves to hurt a pup and so faked her death. Hiding her beneath bloodied clothes and broken tent. Too young and too confused to comprehend what was happening around her, Clara-Marie had to witness the death of her family and home; an event that left her numb for quite some time. Leaving her with no support or help. This tragedy left her with severe hemophobia (fear of blood), necrophobia (fear of dead bodies and why she only hunts small game), and fear of abandonment and anxiety. Eventually she leaves her hiding spot to search for her family only to stumble upon their remains. Miraculously, she was able to find her parents courting jewelry among their remains. Too numb to comprehend the situation, she took their jewelry, what little food and clothes she could find, and her favorite stuffed toy (an amalgamized creature made of scrap fabric created by her mother) and simply walked away from the remains of her only home. With no direction or understanding of what happened, Clara-Marie wandered alone.

As the winter season fell, frozen, starving, and numb to the world, Clara-Marie wandered to the point of exhaustion. Eventually being found by the Daughters of Circe. Typically the Daughters would take her in, but because of her frozen and frail state, the Daughters decided it was best to have a family temporarily foster her until spring when she would most likely be in better health and ready to begin her training. The family, (@rosetta222 Killer Folk oc) agreed to take Clara-Marie in until the Spring Season. She grew close to the family's oldest son, Beaumont, and they became friends despite the large age-gap. When the Spring Season came Clara-Marie was hesitant to leave with the Daughters. She had grown close with the family and was afraid to lose them. A compromise was reached where Clara-Marie would be allowed to visit and work for her foster family and still continue her training as a Daughter.

Her training was not always kind. She had understood that she was different and a child, but during her training, she began to truly understand what being an Accursed meant and how it affected her social standing. Along with her unaddressed trauma, Clara-Marie became more reserved and pulled away with her affections. Something that many members of her foster family have begun to notice and question her on. The worst came when she asked Beaumont to pretend they do not know each other while in public and treat her as a Daughter of Circe instead of as the friend and foster sibling that he had grown up with.
