Eddie and his sisters teach Buck to square dance after dinner, spinning him around across the linoleum floor of the kitchen. Eddie laughs, head thrown back, loud and silly, and Buck knows this sort of joy from him but hadn't thought he'd bring it along to Texas. His family who don't know him as he is in California are certainly surprised, Adriana and Sophia sharing delighted and slightly disbelieving glances as Eddie practically giggles whenever Buck steps on his toes.  “I think you’ve got three or four left feet,” he muses as Buck bangs his hip into the counter, again. “Just two isn’t enough to make you this clumsy.” "Glad I'm practicing now, then," Buck smiles, trying to twirl Eddie and only sort of succeeding at it. "I want to be graceful for you at the wedding."  Eddie's eyebrows flicker up, and he looks at Buck with such a glowing look of love that it makes his toes curl up in his socked feet.

When she was twelve years old, the enchantress shut her into a tower, which lay in a forest, and had neither stairs nor door, but quite at the top was a little window. When the enchantress wanted to go in, she placed herself beneath it and cried, “Thia, let down your hair to me.”

Young Thia has known no life but the one in her tower, hidden deep in the forest. Her mother is kind and affectionate but even so, she longs to escape her tower and live like the women she’s read about in her books. In her spare time, she likes to sing and listen to the sounds echo through the trees. She has never seen another person besides her mother, until a young man stumbles upon her tower, running from something terrible.

thinking about kaveh building a humble but obviously aesthetically pleasing, safe and just very him, home in the desert

he'd have a steady job building different infrastructures to slowly but steadily improve the lives of the people in the desert

he'd get sunburns at first because he's not used to the harsh sun but thanks to cyno, he finally stops getting himself burnt... unless hes deep in his mindset, busy with work and forgets about it, which happens often until candance puts the fear of god in him and now hes very careful about it

in the beginning everything is very chaotic and he loses a lot of nights of sleep, doesn't feed himself right and is generally a hot mess for a good while but once all is set in place, things get better

at this time, his hair has grown a bit. who has time for haircuts when there's work to do? he finds that he likes it and keeps it that way. he generally leaves his hair down but on certain occasions he puts it up in a ponytail or a messy bun or even a braid (he never notices it but it draws a lot of stares to him)

as life goes on kaveh notices his home suddenly became fully surrounded by desert foxes. which is rather impressive as theyre extremely skittish of people and the only time desert foxes ever followed him was because of the interdarshan championship task where they got confused because of the ley lines

theyre still very skittish of others but somehow kaveh ends up being different, perhaps the other foxes communicated to their buddies that he was safe

one time alhaitham comes and visits him, naturally they start to bicker. sensing kaveh's distress one of the bolder foxes jumps and bites alhaitham in the hand, effectively surprising the scribe

kaveh worriedly brings alhaitham inside and insists on (tenderly) care for his wound, nothing too serious. still he carefully wraps a bandage around his hand and in a fit of courage kisses it, leaving alhaitham shocked for the second time that day

much later after they finally kiss, eat dinner and settle in bed together, kaveh starts to laugh uncontrollably at alhaitham getting bit by the fox

"see now you have to be nice to me, there's no choice unless you want my foxes to gang up on you" he said with a smug smile.

and with a soft indulging smile, alhaitham agrees "i guess i do"

I've been thinking about it for a long time (a week) to finally write another TDWP fanfic.

Right cool.

Just this time it's multi chapter, with a full blown plot and everything, and kinda my au/canon divergence.

It's set 20 years after Andy's left Runway in Paris. She worked for the Mirror as a fashion reporter, then flew up in the ranks and became Co-Editor in Chief.

However, the sponsors withdrew and the Mirror ended up falling into bankruptcy, yada yada- five years later she's unemployed again.

Over that time at the Mirror, she came back into contact with her godmother (whole other backstory, might write about it after I finish this fic), Floriana who works at Style Queen (yes I added another fashion magazine, from the MLB universe tho) and she helps her get a job as a Fashion Reporter at The New York Times.

Again, flies up through the ranks- Fashion Editor, then Sr. Fashion Editor. Then heading more into the politics department, she finds herself being the head- they being offered the Editor In Chief job.

This all seems to happen rather quickly,but it actually takes the remaining 15 years and I won't be going over it much in the story but this is just some background character building.

Sounds a bit boring and uncharacteristically Andy right? Not really no. That work on the Janitors Union she did was, politics really. And it makes sense that after Runway, she wants to be into fashion more and more. Just to impress Miranda.

She's finally Editor In Chief, and gets an invitation to go to the Paris Fashion Week. And of course she has to go, I mean she was a fashion correspondent- no one can do it as well as she can.

Oh my god that sounded like something Miranda said in the movie.

Anyway- of course she then realises that she'll have to meet Miranda again. It's too late to leave now.

And that's when the story starts!

And as a sneak peak I'll tell you that it starts with Andy overthinking on a bridge over the Seine.

Oh and her hotel is opposite Miranda's!

Tell me if anyone's interested in this, I'll try dedicate every chapter to any fans.

They caught him, of course, they did. From the moment he switched Don Hector's pills he’s been running on borrowed time. Hell, even before that, probably from the second he caught Tuco’s eye way back when. So here he was, bound and kneeling in the desert waiting for his judge and executioner with his captors, silent and motionless as always. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, letting the sounds of the evening wash over him, trying to keep down his guilt and shame keep it together for a little bit longer, not much time left now. In the distance, the sound of a car slid into the night chorus, he tilted his head back, not watching it approach, preparing himself for what was to come, keeping the rising water from spilling.

He had a limp, a miracle really that was all, and Nacho felt himself release a breath he’s been holding. He had been almost sure they were waiting for Lalo but there had also been doubt and fear. But here he was, alive and furious, gun in hand pacing uncharacteristically silent in front of Nacho. Finally, he stopped and cocked the gun “Any last words?”

The drive had been hell, the day had been hell, and the night… everything since he spotted that fire in the kitchen really. And here he knelt, the reason for all of it, beautiful as ever, the setting sun bathing him in an ethereal glow. Better not to think about it and get to it, the twins had already gotten the answers there was nothing left to say, nothing of business anyway. He watched Nacho slightly cock his head, like he always did when contemplating an answer, watched those big beautiful eyes, lashes wet with unshed tears, finally meet his “Forgive me”

That was all, in that damned quiet voice of his, the anger flared and he stepped closer towering over Nacho “Forgive you? FORGIVE YOU! Do you really think that’s enough? That this will save your life? Do you really think me so weak?” That wide mouth, too wide to be pretty and all the more stunning for it quirked into that small hidden smile as he shook his head. “No! No, of course not. No, you have to kill me I know. It’s alright, but… “ he looked up again “Once you killed Fring, once everything is right again if you can… “ he leaned forward and rested his forehead against Lalo's hand whispering “In a year… or ten, if you can. Forgive me.” (sorry it's been haunting me, I'm a coward and I didn't know what else to do with it)
