everyone always commenting on how sweet percy is for dropping super romantic comments about annabeth, or their cutest moments together and funniest convos. and don’t get me wrong, i’m just as much a sucker for those as you guys are

but for me, it’s the little things that show how much he loves her that makes me so obsessed with them. like in chalice of the gods, he borrows her hat to complete the quest and afterwards, he puts it back to her size for her. it such a small thing to do - something annabeth likely won’t even notice - but it’s so effortlessly thoughtful. not to mention that despite how rushed he was when he put it on, he paid attention to what size it was for her much smaller head.

annabeth is a strong, determined, intimidating - many even say scary - young woman. and percy knows that better than anyone. but like… he takes care of her. he takes cares of her in both big ways and little ways that no one ever has for her, i just- UGHHHGH

Married life

This scene has been tormenting me today.

I’ve read fics where the topic of marriage is something so very foreign and alien to them. They aren’t totally against it, they just don’t see it happening, or it just doesn’t roll off the tongue, much as it hurts to merely gaze at one another (an “I love you” between these fuckers can make me stop dead in my tracks) And tbh I find that really fitting for them, and strange in an endearing way. The exploration of that part of their relationship was something I didn’t know I needed. It’s like they become so much more tender and may I even say vulnerable in the face of it, to the point of them not really knowing what to do about it, which led me to recognizing that it could actually be a big deal for them and not only something that has a 50% chance of ending in disaster. I mean what is marriage if not two people being able to meet in the middle and really see each other and stay committed after that? And to witness that happening between Jack and Tyler? Truly a novelty.

I feel like couples counseling au anakin would very much not enjoy a poly triangle thing if it were to happen because the way I’m writing him and his relationship with obi-wan, Anakin would be very dissatisfied during any romantic time he isn’t spending with Obi-Wan.

The moments he’s spent with Padmé in the fic so far, at least half if not 75% of his attention is focused on his master even when the guy isn’t even there. It’s only gonna get worse from there—I think in his head if he thought about it briefly, he would like to be in a relationship with both Padmé and Obi-Wan.

But the fic progression and conclusion does hinge on anakin realizing that he actually does not want to be in a relationship with the both of them. He wants to just be with one of them and that person is his master.
