I don't play smash ultimate but the story mode would've been so much better and interesting if Sonic managed to save Pikachu and himself from Galeem and we started off with them AND Kirby as a fun little trio

There's a small moment in the Hunter x Hunter 2011 anime that I thought was pretty cute. It's close to the beginning, during the Hunter Exam, when they're looking for pigs in the forest. Gon slides down a hill, and Killua follows him, only for him to crash because Gon had stopped at the bottom of the hill. This scene!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's one of those rare little bits added by an adaptation that really add to the characters - because yeah, this was not in the manga.
I find this anime is really good at adding little moments that either
are just cute or endearing
are fun extra interactions that show off the character dynamics more
actually highlight something about the characters in question
This one, I feel, does all three. First of all, I just love seeing Killua a bit more involved in their group before the eventual reveal of "he just wanted to be friends". It's really sweet.
But mostly, I think it's interesting that Killua assumed Gon was just messing around, when Gon was actually focusing his efforts on beating the challenge. Because, sure, Killua finds Gon somewhat intriguing, and he really wants to stick around him due to his desire for a friend - but Killua still sees himself as a class above pretty much everyone else there, and also as an assassin in a category so firmly removed from "regular kid".
So, Killua totally misreads Gon here. He assumes Gon is just doing a regular kid thing and attempts to mimic it so he can join in. It doesn't actually occur to him that Gon was tracking the pigs, or focusing on the task at hand.
It's a far cry from later on, where Killua and Gon are primarily a team effort - in sync, aware of the others' strengths, and taking each other quite seriously.
And part of it, of course, is that they just don't know each other very well at this point. But I think another thing is that Killua, during most of the Hunter Exam, is more invested in what Gon represents than who he is, necessarily.
His first friend represents rebellion against his family, childish enjoyment, and the desire for connection and understanding that he is not receiving. And even though, as time goes on, he grows more and more impressed with Gon, I really don't think it fully clicked that he wanted that friend he wished for to be specifically Gon until he was confronted by Illumi.
I also think Killua takes Gon a lot more seriously after the fight with Hanzo, and especially after Gon went all the way to the Zoldyck estate to save him. Before the Hanzo fight, Killua was outright irritated by Gon being ranked higher than him overall, and was even a little bitter at the beginning of the fight ("I could've dodged that easily" comes to mind).
By Heavens Arena, I feel they both have a much firmer grasp on, and appreciation for, who the other is as a person. Killua is more consciously aware of his investment in Gon as an individual rather than an abstract, and Gon is aware of Killua's crappy upbringing and is quick to be very supportive of him as he figures things out for himself.
During the Hunter Exam though, a lot of the interactions between them feel a lot like Killua is either mimicking or acting out "regular kid" behaviours, either because that's what he thinks Gon is already doing, or he wants to see if Gon will respond in kind.
Tumblr media
Aaaaand... he does. :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, while they do not have what I feel is a true depth of bond here yet, the foundation is already being laid down for their powerful friendship - Gon and Killua both show an immediate willingness and enjoyment to go along with what the other wants to do and to try out what the other is good at, and they wind up having a whole lot of fun together right off the bat.

hello moon. i’ve been lurking on your page for a long time, never interacted. maybe i can become a regular on here, who knows?
i was hoping you’d do that send a ship thing for aruani.. i found it strange you haven’t done them yet given how clearly obsessed you are with them. you’ve already done them for the lock screen thingy but i wanted to see the rest, it’s like 5AM for you rn.. but maybe your best thoughts are at the ass crack of dawn?
yours truly, behyuu.
Hi behyuu!
Haha, feel free to become a regular on my blog, no problem xD But I had received more than one request for Aruani, so I thought I'd do them all together.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Who said “I love you” first
I think it'd be Armin. From the boat scene in 131, when Annie asks him why he kept visiting her, he really could've said any number of things that wouldn't technically have been false, like "I wanted to make sure you were okay," or "I wanted to tell you what was happening," but he very clearly says "I wanted to see you, Annie." He was blushing like a ripe tomato, and yet he chose to say the one thing that would leave no room for any doubt as to what his feelings were. Armin doesn't hesitate to express himself through words, and with Annie, I believe he'd only take this a few steps further to tell her clearly that what he carries for her is love, nothing less.
Annie herself would not say "I love you" until a long time after they're comfortably together, I feel. She's been denied love all her love, deprived of it to the extent that Armin's barest hints of care were enough for to cling onto, and so being loved and loving back is all going to be so very new to her. She will express it through her body language, but not in words; not very early on in their relationship anyway.
In the long run, I really think this spoken-aloud form of reaffirmation from Armin would be the most beneficial for Annie. As much as physical touch is her way of seeking security, safety and comfort from him, it's also very crucial to be reminded that yes, the person kissing her and loving her body also really does love her, the way he never forgets to say in words.
Who would have the other’s picture as their phone background
I answered this one here!
Who leaves notes written in fog on the bathroom mirror
Both maybe! If Armin's the one taking a shower first, then he leaves a little "I <3 U" on the mirror for her to find once he's done. Nevermind the fact that by the time she does find it (say she wakes up late and he's already left), it's all maybe mostly gone and runny around the edges, but she knows he left it there for her, and it makes her feel all warm inside.
What if Annie's the one taking the shower tho? In that case, she's brushing her teeth in front of the washbasin and the mirror, messy haired, sleepy eyed and lethargic. As she works the toothbrush between long yawns, she doodles a cat on the mirror that's steaming up from the hot water she's left running in the tub. Later on, Armin finds this cat when he comes in to shave, and he finds it to be the cutest thing ever. Maybe they name each cat she draws.
Who buys the other cheesy gifts
I have a hc that Annie's really awkward with gift-giving, so while this doesn't translate into "she doesn't pick good gifts", what it does mean is that her gifts are funny, bordering on cute-as-fuck.
Armin is good with gifts. He buys her things she needs, and throws in some flowers, some chocolate, maybe a plushie and a picnic date. He pays attention to what she likes, what she doesn't like, and this generally means Annie's going to get some of the best gifts ever, whether or not his planning and execution goes to shit because he's so nervous about everything being perfect.
So the one giving him cards with cliche quotes and a leather wallet that the seller tells her is a trendsetter with men, are some of the things Annie gets him. Cut the girl some slack. Her gifts don't suck, they're just cheesy. And he finds it so fucking cute how hard she tries.
Who initiated the first kiss
Armin. It's the pounding heartbeats in their chests, synchronizing. It's the static in the air, sparking and tingling. Her wide pale-blue eyes atop blushing cheeks, locked onto his own in baffled surprise, because he's just told her he loves her and she doesn't understand - why her? Why her, of all the other girls? But that's what his heart wants - her - and he's told her as much and all he can do is hope she feels the same.
But she does. She does, he can see it, right there in her eyes, when her gaze drops lower. She feels the same, he can see it, as her lips part, just a bit, ever so slightly he can almost touch her breath. Then she looks up again, searching his eyes.
He sees his chance, he takes it. Because who knows if there'll be another? He kisses her, long, and slow and sweet, until she's kissing him back with the same longing.
*Aherm* Okay, I got carried away. Basically he kisses her first, but the next time he loses his confidence and doesn't, and then because Annie's impatient as hell, she kisses him second.
Who kisses the other awake in the morning
Annie. I hc that she's the early bird while he struggles to wake up in the morning in general, so naturally being up first, she gives him a little peck on the nose or on the lips. Sometimes he's so deep asleep he doesn't stir at all. Sometimes he's half-awake and drags her closer for longer kisses, and the hope of sleeping in late with her. Sometimes she kisses him short and brief, when she's aching from dealing with something she doesn't like and hasn't told him about; other times they are fluttery, airy, open mouthed kisses, offering silent, sweet promises of love and happiness from between her lips.
Who starts tickle fights
Armin. He reaaaaaaaalllllyy likes teasing her. Whether that's because she's scowling to hide her embarrassment, or refusing to tell him what she's finding so funny in the magazine she's reading - he's always got his hands ready to grab her around the middle and invite her into a tickle fight. The thing though, is that Annie's laughter isn't because of his actions--she's NOT ticklish by any means--but because of the whole play-fighting itself. His laughter is infectious, and she can't help but follow with her own giggling until she's snorting at his stupid jokes and bright eyes.
Guess who's ACTUALLY ticklish? Him. Once she gains the upper hand and squirms away to straddle his hips, it's all game over.
So he may be the one starting the fights, but he's not the one winning them.
Who asks who if they can join the other in the shower
Annie. I just find it more in-character for her to blurt out that he's welcome to join her in the shower. Say they've just come back home after a long and tiring muddy hike, and they're so exhausted they might not have the energy to take showers after each other. It's a casual suggestion, quick and without much thought to it, when Annie says, "Join me then. It'll be quicker."
She might've said that, but once they're actually stripping in the bathroom and getting into the hot waters of the bathtub, Annie's the one burning to the tips of her ears. Doesn't help that Armin's lost all his initial embarrassment and inhibitions and is welcoming her to sit between his legs, pulling her back flush against his chest.
The rest belongs in a smut fic.
Who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunch
Annie. Armin forgets to eat, especially when he's drowning to his neck in documents piling up on his table at work. He's studying up for a meeting on his morning transit, signing off agendas and rescheduling appointments, making six dozen phone calls, holding talks with important people... ugh. He has barely any time to breathe, so his eating habits at work are basically non-existent. During such times when things are more hectic than usual, and it's often a familiar sight to find him coming home with a loosened tie and exhaustion on his face, Annie's the one heading to his workplace with lunch and coffee in her arms. She makes sure he eats, and also eats her own lunch with him, so he's kept company by the only person he can be his silly, goofy self around.
Who was nervous and shy on the first date
I'm inclined to say both, it's just that Armin would express it more openly than Annie would. What Armin would be fretting and worrying about is how perfectly the date is going, how smoothly his plans are working out, and so on. He'd be so bothered about every teeny tiny detail and Annie's enjoyment that he wouldn't really be able to relax and enjoy it himself.
Annie on the other hand, would be nervous and scared about disappointing him. It would warm her heart how he sweetly switches to her more exposed side as they're walking down the street, but it also worries her about how expressive she's being, or rather, how much she's lacking in that respect. Disappointing Armin is probably her biggest fear.
Who kills/takes out the spiders
Annie. Armin hesitates too much. He looks at the mama spider, looks at her eggs, looks at her babies, thinks of the consequences, thinks of their extended families and their ancestors, their futures, their pasts, their presents, and so on and so forth. It's been six hours and he's ignoring the spider in the bathroom because he's conflicted over killing them.
Annie would kill them (she doesn't like bugs), but because she knows it'll break his heart, she traps them in a special plastic cup she keeps for the spiders and lets them out somewhere far away.
Who loudly proclaims their love when they’re drunk
Armin. Even sober, he's always running to give her a big hug with a stupid wide smile on his face, going "Aaaanniiieeeee!!". The happiest golden retriever in the world. Now get that golden retriever drunk to his eyeballs and he won't fucking shut up about how beautiful she is, how big her heart is, how soft she is, how her eyes are like the sky and the sea and other fantastic imagery. He tells her he wants to marry her (even if they're already married), and how he wants to wake up to her presence everyday. In a crowd, it's fucking embarrassing for Annie. Secretly though? She loves it. Replays it in her head over and over again.

thoughts about pre-crisis Lex Luthor
now that I've read all of earth-one/pre-crisis lex's main canon appearances, I thought I'd list some things I noticed or found interesting.
It was consistent that pre-crisis Lex didn't care about money. Some stories went as far as to emphasise he could've been rich if he'd wanted to but he would actively scorn it!
By the time we get to the early 80s he's living a comfortable lifestyle, and had his own secret island base. But he still frets when Superman smashes millions of dollars worth of equipment
In the silver age he would buy abandoned places to use as bases under false names and keep them at the ready, presumably using money from bank robberies. They were usually on-theme too like museums, observatories, etc. I definitely think this is an element that should come back
The way he dresses. the coloured pants! his little ascots! they were such a thing for pre-crisis Lex
He also has this escape-artist thing going on, where he "enjoys the challenge" and there's a scene which hints at him being bored at having been out of prison for a while
I don't really mind this change and I think either way makes sense, but before Cary Bates and Marv Wolfman brought in elements influenced by the 78 movie in the early 80s... there was no indication that Lex ever mistreated his goons/lackeys. he would at least pay lip service to their wellbeing. it was his interactions with other villains that were much more hostile and laden with betrayal. (as well as cellmates when he had them)
Cary Bates had a great take on Lex, don’t get me wrong, he wrote some of his best pre-crisis stories, but he seemed to be taking a lot of cues from Donner/Hackman Lex going into the 80s, and I feel that kind of synergy lessened what was special about the comic counterpart.
There were writers, especially in the late silver age/early bronze age, who wrote Lex as more cold and overtly misanthropic. That's what I see in Waid's take on him. So it is drawing on the silver age, it's just specific stories rather than the general trends. e.g. Action Comics #363-365 is a very Waid-esque version of pre-crisis Lex.
Silver age Brainiac was actually pretty loyal to Lex and wouldn't leave him behind (Lex wasn't the same way back unfortunately). there was definitely subterfuge but they had a weirdly sweet relationship. it's sure different from modern stuff where they're always 2 seconds away from murdering each other whenever they interact (hell even the bronze age was like that because Brainiac became a darker character)
there's this one Superboy comic where it's established that Jonathan Kent and Lex hate each other because Jonathan denied him parole as a member of the reform school board. most of the time Jonathan seemed more indifferent to him though
on the other hand, silver age Martha felt sorry for Lex (and lowkey wanted to adopt him), even when he was trying to kill her son (if you don't know, pre-crisis Lex started trying to kill Superboy when they were teenagers in Smallville, but regardless of that goal he was generally considered a more lighthearted "menace")
I know that technically he had an older sister who was Nastalthia's mother but the actual flashbacks to his childhood treated him as the oldest sibling and it just being him and Lena, and that's the dynamic I prefer.
Lex as an uncle though. he’s so cute with Val (well, for the most part. it was complicated). his relationship with Nasty was bland though.
His relationship with Lena and by extension, Supergirl, was so interesting. Lex was usually so chill whenever he showed up in Supergirl, the way they had an understanding that he could be counted on to protect Lena, and I wish he and Kara would’ve interacted more during those times he had truces with Superman, considering she saw his protective/selfless side before Superman did.

I actually wish they had done the whole Saeko/Ichiban subplot better. When they had Ichiban have "the look" when Saeko casually says that he's cool, part of me was like "oh no" because him being into her just... felt like it came out of nowhere. And yeah, they've been friends for years now and it HAPPENS, but RGG just generally does not do a good job in the romance aspect in my opinion. It always feels like there's never good build-up and it HAPPENS.
But their date was cute. Ichiban asked out Saeko and her walking off because she got nervous was done well. BUT THEN ICHIBAN WAS LIKE A CHILD OVER IT? Nanba and Adachi giving Ichiban points and shit to impress Saeko felt so off because... well, yeah, Ichiban had never dated, but it felt so awkward since they've known each other for a while and you'd think Ichiban would just be chill and go with the flow since... he knows Saeko. He felt oddly childish in some ways in Infinite Wealth, and it felt more like they tried to play it up for the plot's sake, rather than because it was true to Ichiban's character. It was less endearing, more annoying, at least to me.
And then he proposed and was stupid about it? Which yeah, Ichiban is dumb about shit, but also, again, it felt out of nowhere that it went from they're good friends to he's SUPER into her. Yeah, she was an option to be a "girlfriend" in 7, but it also didn't seem canon.
And then it comes up constantly in the main plot when it has nothing to do with anything, just so we don't forget he likes her. And yeah, she just ignored him for a year, but even that felt out of character. Okay, she was upset he wasn't thinking of her at all when he proposed, fine, but it just felt like it was that drastic so they could have Ichiban pine and be upset over it. I know that RGG had to get the ball rolling for everything in the game to happen, but I kind of wish there had been some lead up to it.
Hell, during Tomi's drink links, Ichiban mentions proposing to a girl and she never gave him an answer. Except she did. She felt like she'd always be there for Ichiban, but it didn't feel like she felt the same way and wanted to be friends because she liked their dynamic. And I guess even in Saeko's drink link, she didn't even mind the thought of dating Ichiban, but it even ends with implying that neither he nor the CEO that she dated had her heart racing. Her whole thing was that she was happy with where she was and didn't want to get married (Kiryu could've asked if she was afraid of love, but I didn't go for it because... it just felt like Saeko had more important shit going on in her life than wanting to marry).
I don't know, the after credits scene of Saeko/Ichiban was okay. It just kind of feels like Ichiban needs to have it spelled out to him by others rather than he comes to his feelings on his own. And maybe if it hadn't ended with a big fucking joke and Ichiban having that stupid T-shirt, I would've appreciated how it concluded more. Ichiban is over the top, but it felt too over the top and by the end of it, it kind of felt like the subplot barely amounted to anything. It felt like everyone had to talk about Ichiban's proposal and Nanba tried too hard to be like wink wink, Ichiban is a good guy, right, Saeko? and it felt like the game tried too hard to smack us over the head with it. And any time a romance is that shoehorned in, it just comes off as trying too hard. Even before Nanba leaves with Kiryu, he mentions Chitose having Ichiban wrapped around her finger and asking if Saeko is old news... except Nanba was barely there for too long, and I don't think he would've noticed that kind of thing for the short time he was around? I don't think Chitose and Ichiban interacted enough around Nanba for him to be mentioning it.
I don't know, I just thought it was handled poorly. I think if there was some more time or little things to indicate better chemistry I would've been more into it, because as I said, I thought their date was very cute. But then it went off the deep end and killed it for me. I just felt like both characters seemed very off in terms of handling regarding the pairing, and it more or less felt like it amounted to nothing in the end.
RGG needs to stop trying so hard with romance because it just feels like it rarely pans out. For the kind of game Infinite Wealth was and what was happening, it just didn't need a romantic subplot and it never even felt rewarding once it finally did get somewhere.

s2 time! i'm not gonna be as thorough with it as i was w s1 bc i'm not a huge fan of season 2 ff but here goes
(this post's gonna be tosh/owen + some fragments talk, then i'm gonna reblog with a day in the death stuff, and then ill make a separate post for adam bc. woo nelly. that one warrants it.)
so lets start with the tosh/owen differences. a lot of their little scenes in s2 are markedly different - mostly as far as body language. there's a surprising amount of physical affection between them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
four separate occasions (eps 3, 4, 8, and 9) where there's physical affection between them in the script that didn't make it into the episode. i find this intriguing. tosh and owen are both very... non-affectionate people. both of them could be, with someone they loved romantically, but they don't strike me as the type of people who like to cuddle with their friends. they're both naturally very aloof and non-touchy, which makes that casual physical touch very ooc. i imagine that's why it didn't end up on screen. i figure the writers here knew the show was meant to push the tosh/owen angle in s2, but it's interesting to me that it ended up being a lot more subtle and... awkward in the show itself. i've already said i'm not a towen fan, for many reasons, but one is that there's just... zero chemistry between them (in s2, anyway). every interaction is forced and uncomfortable. it's weird enough that i was thrown off by it for a long time and couldn't figure out what the show was trying to do with them, lmao. i know that their awkwardness probably appeals to some people, and is cute or smth, but i dislike it personally. mostly i'm just petty the show reduced tosh down to that relationship tbh but whatever.
i can't help but wonder if they had this casual physical affection with each other, and if it fit in and didn't feel ooc for them, if i would like them as a couple more. but honestly i have thought about what the show could've done to make tosh/owen endear me, and i don't think uncharacteristic physical affection would be it. i do like that first scene, the way their communication styles clash a bit and they don't know quite how to talk to each other. i like owen awkwardly trying to comfort her, i love when he does that, how it's like a baby deer walking for the first time fhsdjfkds. im very endeared by the way owen's empathy is either out of nowhere and all-consuming, or something he has to force and is awkward about wielding. whenever he tries to be kind it's very tentative, because it doesn't come natural to him (anymore, at least), but he does care enough to try. i'm so fond of it. also hes sooo nd ehehe. tosh too.
will say this: i do appreciate owen getting hugs. he does need it. tosh needs it too. if the team WAS physically affectionate with each other they'd be better off, i think.
two more tosh/owen things...
Tumblr media
see, this is what i mean when i say i couldn't tell what the show was doing with them. the SHOW can't even tell. this whole scene is written very vaguely, with little insight into owen's head, like the damn writer doesn't even know why he finally agreed. this is probably my, like, fourth favorite tosh/owen scene, which isn't saying much, 'cause i still don't really like it. it's cute in like, three spots, but mostly it just feels... weird. i don't understand what burn was intending with his acting choices, because owen comes across as insincere and slightly snide. it's weird and gross, and it rubs me wrong. i don't know if he's trying to be casual and play it cool or something, but the way he laughs at her makes me wanna punch him. the way owen treats tosh is just about the only place i legitimately can't stand him.
Tumblr media
one last bit about it. see, 'fondly'. in the actual scene, i would describe the way owen looks at her in this moment as.... amused (at her expense) and slightly condescending. like he thinks she's laughable. it fucking bothers me. which sucks because i wanna like them, i do. i think they could be compatible. but the way he treats her in canon is nauseating and i can't get behind it.
right, and then two fragments moments i wanna discuss
Tumblr media Tumblr media
all i really wanna say here is again (as mentioned in my end of days talk), chibnall didn't specify owen crying or anything, but he spends his whole segment of this ep in tears. point is i wanna thank burn gorman for the way owen constantly is teary eyed and miserable, with those big pretty brown doe eyes of his. it means the world to me. thats all
actually it's not all cuz i also wanna point out jack grabbing owen to stop him instead of owen collapsing into tears and sobbing into jacks chest while jack holds him. the dead man walking script similarly didn't specify the physical touch between jack and owen in the three places it appears, so i imagine that was largely something decided by the actors... i'm very compelled by the three separate instances where we see owen attack jack one minute / at one point in the ep and then sob in his arms the next. their relationship is sooo unhealthy fff

HotD Ep 7: Thoughts (spoilers!)
Wow. What an episode.
"We have always been meant to burn together" had poets and writers crying. Jane Austin who? Most romantic line I ever heard. Also love the parallel during the funeral where Rhaenyra was tracking Daemon with her eyes– almost primal nature like two animals circling each other. It’s a familiar characteristic of Targaryens because it highlights their “Closer to (dragon) gods than men” saying
Aemond claiming Vhagar was one of my favourite scenes ever– cinematically. It was so cool and well shot. Plus, the kid actor who plays Aemond was amazing.
Least Favourite scene: The beach sex scene (I know, daemyra's look awayyyy). It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't amazing. I was expecting more considering it's been 10+ years since they've seen each other. I guess I was wanting more yearning, tension, lust and passion– which is my own expectations fault. Honestly, for a second there I though Emma and Matt's chemistry wouldn't work. (Thank god for the wedding scene!!!)
Tumblr media
I need them to have another sex scene, but this time with a female director because how are you gonna put have two actors with chemistry and give them a shitty love scene.
Favourite scene: The traditional Targaryen wedding. Are you kidding me? Like that was one of the most romantic, fantasy genre wedding sequences I have ever seen. Matt and Emma's chemistry was chemistry-ing.
Tumblr media
A close second favourite is the confrontation scene between Alicent and Rhaenyra. The acting was amazing, some really great lines were thrown in, and the mood was set for the future episodes. It's like the pieces are finally falling into place of what will be the highlight for the rest of the series. We are only at the beginning.
The scene of the kids literally jumping on Aemond was funny as hell. I was literally cheering my kiddos on! Baela with that deadly right hook + Lucerys with the winning slash?! Now that is cinema. It was also really cute how the boys immediately jumped into to defend the girls.
What I did not get was why Daemon did not once interact with his daughters during the entire episode? During the funeral– nada. Seeing them with their bloodied faces after a fight– nada.
The first thing Rhaenyra did as soon as they arrived (sex hair and all) was call out to her sons, but crickets from Daemon. Then they had the audacity to show Daemon walking up to Rhaenyra to check on her wound (which was cute and domestic as hell. I squealed!), stand by Rhaenyra and her sons, BUT not show him check on his own two daughters. Where the hell is my Daddy Daemon?!
I love, love that scene between Rhaenyra and Laenor where they laid out their feelings. It was clear they tried to make their marriage work, but they are too different and want different things. Plus, that ending had me gasping and everything– what a twist! (what about his dragon though?)
Why did the children have to watch their parents go through the whole blood ceremony wedding. Luke clearly just wanted to stay home and play with his Granddad's Lego.
+ French kissing like that in front of said children?! Disgusting. Call child services.
Helaena, my little bug child, they could never make me hate you.
"I'm going to bed, Aemma" I GAGGED.
Tumblr media
Rhaenyra proposing in High Valeriyan was the best thing I could've ever received from this show. Not only was it romantic as hell considering those two only spoke High Valeriyan to each other (it's literally their love language babes), but Emma D'arcy did such a phenomenal job with the dictation that it seemed so natural on their tongue.
That is all.
Great episode, and now I cannot wait for next week!
ps. this lil moment was kinda hot

you are a few of the people i trust when it comes to RE opinions, have you watched death island already?
oh???? but yes, i did, someone pirated it (more like screen recorded but whatev) online and posted a link so i grabbed it myself i can give a quick rundown under read more, but overall I say it's my least favorite of CGI ones (not even entertaining as Vendetta even):
Jill "comeback" for a more current timeline is nothing - from a decision to put her into re3r design (or the fact there are no visial indictation of injuries or whatever) to the fact that nothing about the way she acts makes sense. The barely aknowledge her kidnapping, Chris acts really OOC with her hence her responses feels even more OOC. And i'm not asking for Oscar worthy writing, like, RE4R managed to say about Leon trauma, hell, even Vendetta did and I think it felt natural. It's supposed to be "Jill's" movie but if I have to say, as always, Leon scenes are the only ones the feels to be made with somewhat passion. And with genuine intent. Jill gets to be part of action for sure, but I can't gelp but think what impact this could had if someone at Capcom cared about Jill a little bit more. This is the first time Leon and Jill meet on screen and like, sure, they probably know each other already (just like Chris and Leon did) but unlike re6 chris and leon moment, this felt like nothing. And they together on the screen for such a brief moment - blink and miss. Which can be said for an entire movie. Claire and Rebecca roles are forgettable too, cool that they get to interact a little too... but like... I'd say the way whole crew interacts feels so forced. Artifical even. Like actual mindless fanservice. I my hohonest opinion. unlike games, feels like whoever directed this one movie didn't know how to direct voice acting. Or whoever was in charge of that. This would be opportunity for different characters to interact more or make some cool combos / duos but the film is so short so it's formulaic and feels like cheap. Models look cool, but I feel like the movie is SOOOO rushed. Like, sure, Degeneration aged badly and looks cheap and looked cheaped back when, but at least there are moments that I do remember and Leon and Claire interaction felt somewhat real and some cute callbacks were made. Oh yeah, and THE MOST forgetable and stupid villian they could've come up with. And some character with Raccoon city trauma you suppose to care about, but no flashback for any of the mains. If you're fan and don't ask for much, you probably going to like it, but personally I'd rather movie be stupid and entertatining than it be boring and forgetable but with fanservice. 2/5 for me.

I fully feel you on the lupat info. I have rewatched the en film and the ryusoulger movie a few times now because I can't get over their scenes together and the growth that they've clearly went through in their dynamic.
But maybe we should start with ep 1?
LITERALLY .... i wish we could've seen more of w red since then . i have a slight suspicion the reason those two havent appeared together in sentai recently was because of the whole kissing thing but who knows ....
ah yes the iconic episode one . IT'S SO ... i've watched it so many times already i can remember everything that happened off the top of my head .
but if we're just talking on w red here , it's their faithful first meeting ... ! or is it .....
the lupinrangers have been operating for about a year since the start of the show . there's a possibility that they've interacted with each other before , as a thief and as an officer .
we won't know would we .
then there's the iconic scene in rinko park ( yes i know exactly where that location is ) , where they first met as civilians .
god you can just see from keii's face that he's not used to someone like kairi greeting him before , and honestly he definitely felt a little pierce through his heart at that smile .
AND GOD OKAY . keiichirou is someone who pays a lot of attention to kairi's smile . they even said this in his official bio . of course at that point he wasn't really aware of it . but i think it's cute that one of kairi's real smiles is from keiichirou being an absolute moe failboy .
also i think it's REALLY funny how kairi is canonically a twitter user can we talk about that for a second . like 5 minutes into the show and this man is ego searching himself on TWITTER . its so funny .
but watching that first interaction between them again it's like ... maybe things could've turned out better . if they had been normal people , maybe they would've met and gotten along just fine . though kairi's guilt goes beyond him being a phantom thief so then again maybe not .
" here's a warning ! .... mister , you're going to miss that shot . "

gamers i just finished A Power Unbound and i really liked it (Alan and Jack are wonderful characters and their romance was sooo lovely) but did anyone else feel like maybe Alan and Jack just didn't matter to the main plot
in my head im crafting a world where they get their "own" book and then there's a fourth book with Edwin and Violet's POVs that is actually resolving the whole Last Contract plot ........ I think the author just had too much on the plate trying to set up a new romance and resolved the last contract and Alan and Jack winded up getting lost :/
more rambling under the cut just about my thoughts on a power unbound in general (spoilers)
really I loved the romance plot between Jack and Alan them growing into their feelings for each other was amazing i loved watching two guys who are super isolated and distrusting of the world learn that it's okay to lean on each other and need help. someone finally able to take some of the weight off of Alan. "my lovely sin-eater, you need to stop" is living in my head rent free, and their final scenes after the party were so beautiful and were such a perfect conclusion. when Jack and Alan actually got to interact with each other i would forget i was frustrated with how the other half of the book was going LOL
i really wish they'd gotten more time and importance in the rest of the book though :( when the rest of the cast (cough mainly Violet and Edwin) were scheming and such, it was so easy to forget that either of them were there -- even if they didn't have much to contribute to discussions i feel like they could've at least contributed more internally. how were Jack and Alan feeling about all this stuff???
just felt like the author didn't know what to do with the non-magical characters in general. Alan not being included in the heist when he was a thief and a perturbator was absolutely bonkers. like they definitely still could've revealed the twist of Alan helping George prior to the book if he was still involved cause the most damning thing he did for that scene was write a letter to Violet
even though the two parts of the book felt pretty disjointed I was satisfied with how the Last Contract plot got resolved the ending to the series in general was really solid. + Alan and Jack's ending obliterated me (affirmative). i want to write like that one day. i loved the epilogue it was so cute :') a happy ending for everyone that was well earned. love Adelaide and Robin getting married for legal reasons they are so QPP to me. Edwin kissing Robin in front of everyone for the first time in the group's little after party was so cute T_T
overall verdict on the book: pretty positive despite the glaring issues i had with it, Alan and Jack's part of the story was so captivating to me that it still made the book extremely enjoyable even with my grievances about it. going to be thinking about their romance for a long time
overall verdict on the series is i loved it, i'm going to miss the world i definitely will revisit this series in the future. marske's characters and worldbuilding are so captivating. i look forward to what marske writes next for sure

just finished sonic prime s2! some quick thoughts below the cut before i go to bed (spoilers ahead!)
- i liked this season a lot! i think i preferred it to the last one tbh
- the characterisation of sonic and shadow was ON POINT!!!!! love how they're portraying shadow in this season, he so often gets flanderised and mistreated by writers that it's nice to see him depicted as a more nuanced character again. sonic is a charming little fellow as he was in the first season, in general this portrayal of him is one of my favs. and the dynamic between them is so good. sonadow was 12 year old me's first ship ever so my inner pre-teen is LIVING rn as you can probably imagine lol. even outside of that though they play off of each other very well and their interactions were a highlight of the season for me. also the moment where shadow was falling gave me SO MANY flashbacks lol, thankfully sonic caught him this time 🥺
- the animation was also at a very high standard as it was last season, sound design and music were great too. ik it's been said a million times before but i do rlly like how they animate sonic's ears perking up and flicking around like a real animal's ears, very very cute
- to expand on sonic's characterisation, i do think this is definitely one of my top portrayals of him in like....... anything. this sonic is very emotive and expressive and he obviously cares a lot about people, and yet he's not the most emotionally intelligent and often misses social cues because he's so tied up in his own thoughts and perceptions. he doesn't come across as rude or annoying or selfish though, he's just genuinely not the best at reading people or being able to think outside of his own perspective which, as an autistic person, i find very relatable. he's flawed in a very realistic way. i can sometimes find sonic a slightly grating or annoying character but this take on him is one i enjoy a lot, you can tell he means well and he wants to help and cares about things very deeply, which i appreciate a lot.
- i do hope that they're going to explore shadow's character more next season and i ESPECIALLY hope that they're going to play around more with the idea of him and nine being foils to each other. it seemed rlly clear that shadow's trust issues were meant to reflect/parallel nine's same issues and subsequent betrayal of sonic, it's an interesting touch to have them reflect each other and i rlly hope they revisit it.
- i rlly loved the black rose and rusty rose dynamic and interactions too and i also hope we see more of that next season. the roses should start a union
- now im gonna get onto the negative points sorry. ik ppl will hate me for this but i really don't like dread. he just feels like an unnecessary addition to the plot and whenever he shows up i just feel like "ugggh not this guy again". his design and character is cool in isolation and he has some great moments but overall im not a fan of how they used him this season
- i had the same problem with this season as the first which is that it felt like there were a lot of unnecessarily long repetitive fight scenes with very little plot. this is more of a subjective thing in terms of my personal tastes, but at times i found it pretty tiresome and would even start skipping the fight scenes lol. they just get pretty predictable and same-y and it feels like obvious padding to prevent the plot from advancing too fast and it just gets frustrating
- i would have liked for the characters to have had a bit more downtime to interact and stuff this season. it felt like a few of those endless fight scenes could've been replaced with some fun interactions but idk. ik it's a show for little kids so they want to keep their attention with Big Explosion so i don't blame anyone for doing it this way, but these are just my personal feelings on it
- in general it felt like the stakes were SO HIGH for the entire season that it stopped feeling exciting pretty fast. i think that interspersing the action with some down time would have made the action more meaningful. it kinda felt like after a while the stakes stopped meaning anything bc they just kept ramping up constantly
- that being said, the prismatic titan was SO COOL and i greatly enjoyed sonic's showdown with it, my inner 12 year old was going INSANE
- i think that dr deep came into his own as a character much more for me this season, he was rlly funny and a lot of the jokes landed with him pretty well
- chaos sonic was SO FUN it's a shame we didn't get to see more of them
tldr: it definitely has flaws but overall i had fun. excited for more rodents in the future........

I saw "LouisTom" aka 'All Of Those Voices' this evening. Just a mix of thoughts which contain some SPOILERS ..
Tumblr media
I haven't been to the movie theatre for about 2 years. The last movie I saw was either Parasite or Mulan live action. Only Louis could entice me back to sit in a public room surrounded by strangers for over an hour.
I really loved the behind the scenes in the studio, Louis talking about music and sharing FITF with his band, and all the interactions with his team. Lottie's comments shows how much she admires and loves Louis. The more you hear about Louis, the more you admire him.
The parts when Louis was talking about his Mum, and around Louis performing Just Hold On on the Xfactor were really hard for me. And Grandpa bless his heart.
Theo Hutchcraft really looks like a cool Vampire.
Oli is a gem. The most understanding friend and goofball mate anyone could ever want. I get why Louis has Oli with him all the time.
Mark Tomlinson quoted Louis saying something of an epiphany while during his Grease days (which reminded me of the Vanessa Hudgens' Austin Butler/Elvis epiphany).
One of my favourite moments was of Louis with his team on the yacht. The beautiful visuals, the chill, seeing some of the food, the band sharing their thoughts about Louis.
I heard Oli and Chris Frewin talking full sentences for the first time, and Oli's voice is not as I imagined and I understood him easier than I do Louis.
Louis has had to overcome his emotions and outside obstacles over his entire career. The documentary shows us the bumpy ride, from getting picked on Xfactor but dismissed and feeling insignificant, then overcoming that by contributing with his songwriting. He was shattered by the break, feeling lost on his career path, the family tragedies, then it's years to make his debut album, only for his tour to be hit by Covid, then tour starts again and his career is eventually on a roll. We already know the history but it's seen with some new insights. His Mum truly raised a man of good character.
The teary eyes didn't make me emotional for a few reasons and didn't make me change my mind because I've been here from the start of this stunt. Louis could've spent so much time between 2016-now (like during XFactor Judges), and especially during the lockdown with the kid but he didn't. Not even the dangerous Californian bushfires inspired Louis to visit the kid, and his team was like no comment on an article.
The scenes with the kid were cute but a bit awkward, and it raised more questions for me. Like why is Oli ALWAYS with them? Why didn't his family travel to America to see him more often if they miss him? Why does he hardly visit the UK, and only for the last 2 Christmases and the only clue of it was via the same pic we saw already posted by one of the sisters? Why is there a lack of unseens of Louis or his family with the kid from between 2016-2021? And the only baby pics were the ones taken in 2016 and already overused in the tabloids.
And my Dude, if 'it gets harder to leave the kid every time' and you get teary eyed talking about it, you should've gotten a lawyer to get full custody, or at least 50/50 years ago. Why does Louis need to travel 20 hours each time to LA for such little time with his own child? Also why none of his American family were with him backstage after the LA concert, just this other kid friend and a guardian (and remember the 'grandparents' and 'uncle' were there but sat separately from him, and potentially had to buy their own tickets to the concert).
It's funny hearing Louis being called both Lou-ee and Lew-is (Doncaster v non Doncaster people).
Given the amount of time I saw Oli and Louis spend with the kid and how they both interacted with him, it would not surprise me if it was later revealed that Oli was the Dad. That would explain why Oli hasn't spend more time in America with him, how the child hardly visits his family in the UK, why he hasn't hired a lawyer for better custody arrangements, because remember people, Oli's only on a PA's salary. And what the hell was that place Louis and Oli were supposedly staying at with the kid. Total opposite of the infinity pool house.
And after I heard Charlie talk twice about the filming having been organic, natural, not set up, etc and watching the 2 sections of the stunt in the docu, it just felt the opposite. Charlie was definitely trolling when he said that. And honestly for me, if these sections with the kid weren't in the film, it would not have been missed because Louis' own grandparents, siblings and childhood friends confirmed to us Louis' love for family and his personal journey. It defiantly felt like filming the kid was an afterthought, rather than preplanned or in the vision Louis or Charlie had in 2019.
Sadly no new insights about either broken arm incidents, no Louis hair and skincare discussions with Krystle, no fashion discussions with Helen, and no Clifford.
They celebrated Steve's birthday too hard in Iceland. His band is funny especially Matt. Mark Gillespie was seen backstage at Louis' LA show.
Familiar frequent flyer 'fans' were interviewed.
Louis loves his Louies, and his whole team appreciate us too.
There was only English subtitles for us. No local language because it was probably not worth translating for a limited screening that could only be used in 1 country.
I left feeling exhausted and heavy hearted seeing his journey, and very proud of Louis for how he kept going to where he is now, and how he has stayed a sweet person, and happy seeing he is surrounded by good people now. It's clear that Louis is loved and respected by those closest to him. As a One Direction fan and Louie, I enjoyed and appreciated this documentary.
This documentary is about a journey, and not a blockbuster, exposé film.
Now I feel so super ready for the tour to start because seeing Louis in concert again makes me miss those loud and fun times.
And remember, Louis is only getting started ...

001 for Sonic the Hedgehog, 003 for Chris Thorndyke, 002 for SonElise
001 Fandom Sonic
My favorite character is Tikal
My least favorite is Mephiles
5 Favorite ships: antoine x bunny, sallicole, khanally, Sonudis (sonic x @crusherthedoctor 's fancharacters Trudy) & Tom x Maddie
Character i find most attractive: Shadow
Character I would marry:
Character I would be best friends with: Rouge
A random thought: why aren't there any aquatic anthros :(
Unpopular Opinion: Marine > Sticks
Canon OTP: Khanally
Noncanon OTP: Sonic x Lani (my OC)
Most badass character: Too many to count but a quick shoutout to KNUCKLES
Most Epic Villain: EGGMAN OF COURSE I love how his inventions span from servants like Orbot to fucking GUNDAMS movie Eggman especially for actually having him be the main threat instead of getting Upstaged or written OOC "Eggdad"
Pairing I am not a fan of: Sonally, made them both OOC, too soap-opera for my tastes and personality clashes
Character i feel the writers screw up: Elise, could've gotten a badass equivalent to a disney princess (though they're already badass) instead we get a poorly thought out Self insert
Favorite friendship: Shadow and Rouge, Amy and that little bird. Also Blaze and Marine
Character i most identify with: Big the cat I just be minding my own business but get dragged into sum bullshit anyways 😫
Character I wish I could be: blaze because she's rich duh also fire is my birth element
002 Sonelise
When I started shipping them: a couple of years ago after seeing cute fanart. But coming across @solarhood 's blog really increased my liking for the pair.
My thoughts: Gets way too much hate, i see it has lots of potential in fanfics, it is not and never was bestiality, and it can be a good romance or a good friendship. Plus Amy isn't unfairly demonized.
What makes me happy about them: their interactions were so sweet, especially the scene in the meadows.
What makes me sad about them: that they had to give up their memories :(
Things done in fanfic that annoy me: when people try to improve Elise by making her a Blaze Clone. Or turning her into a hedgehog just to make her ship with sonic more "palatable" listen Elise can still be badass without being turned into another Blaze/Sally copy
Things I look for in fanfic: again better characterizing that isn't turning Elise into Xena, also amy not being demonized for melodrama. Sonic & Elise more time together (with in character Sonic)
My Wishlist: that elise comes back with a new design that (let 👏 her 👏 wear 👏 different clothes!!) & reuniting with Sonic
Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with if not each other: with Sonic I don't mind him with Amy or a new character. With Elise, Surprisingly KNUCKLES. Both were isolated and had to spend their childhood into roles they didn't ask for so the parallels are already there. Difference is Elise can help Knuckles be comfortable around girls without overstepping his boundaries, and he can help her learn to master her power and be more open with her emotions even especially the negative ones.
My happily ever after: Sonic and Elise somehow recovering their full memories and becoming friends again. Elise decides to travel the world with him not just for personal pleasure but to instill alliances and gain more life experience
003 alright last one and it's *uighh* chris....thorndyke 😒😒😒
How I feel about this character: TERRIBLE he's the reason why I made Noelani in the first place!! Unnecessary audience surrogate who didn't even do a good job in the role he was that hateable!
Any/all people i ship romantically with this character: the only person I ship him with is with a therapist!!
My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: Okay maybe his relationship with his servants were a little sweet then again not surprised if they forced to act like that because he signs their paychecks
My unpopular opinion about this character: he isn't the worse creator's pet I know he wasn't as awful as Kicker from Energon or Light Yagami
One thing I wished. Would happen/had happened with this character in canon: That he faced some actual damn consequences especially in the last episode of s2! Ground that boy! Don't just let him get away with dooming two planets!
Favorite friendship for this character: Surprisingly him and Tails, too bad it wasn't enough to salvage him
My crossover ship: him and Adrien would make great friends and that's not a compliment

Just me, reviewing yet another teen drama, Fate: the winx saga edition.
The highlights of the season for me were Musa and Riven, Flora finally making an appearence and the friendship between Stella a Beatrix.
Now onto the plot, i think it was a solid idea, it carried on from season one with the Aster Dell thing and i can kinda see the point of Sebastian, he's just too much of a caricature evil to inspire anything else. I did thought it was weird at the end the rest of the blood witches just....left, like, what the fuck lol, felt like a lazy way to tie up loose ends, like yeah their leader is gone but surely those people still want their loved oned back. Also i have beef with however is tasked with designing their transformations, theres no outfit change, the wings look werid once the montage is over and i hate that its probably because they want to give it "realism" ITS A SHOW ABOUT MAGICAL FARIES RICHARD, GIVE THEM SPARKLY OUTFITS.
Into the characters!
Bloom is not my favorite, she's okay, not bad for a main character, just a bit repetitive. It did bother me at the end when she told sky he was the most important person in her life when i think through out the season she had more meaningul scenes with her friends than with him. And their relationship is kind of not it, they have awful comunkcation and when she confromts him about it he says he doesnt tell her about his problems because she is the answer which, ok cute honey but you need comunication for a relationship to work. Idk, they are very vanilla but, they could be written better.
Sky's struggles made for an interesting arc this season, he went through some pretty fucked up shit and it sucks that the season ended for him with his girlfriend basically unaliving herself as far as he is concerned. One thing i like about this show is that no character has as a motivation only his love interest which is why i appreciate they gave Sky something to do this season besides Bloom. Im interested to see how he handles his loss next season.
I cannot stress enough how much i liked Musa this season, i love how they handle her relationship with her powers and she and Riven finally interacting made my freaking week. I hope they let her keep training to be an Specialist next season and i hope somebody gets the idea of giving a combat magic class, its kind of ridiculous a room full of fairies with different types of magic couldnt come up with a plan to try an scape and instead waited patiently to be rescued while being drained one by one.
Riven, Riven, Riven. His fallout with Beatrix and Dane was kind of inevitable, i do love myself some badass female grey character but relationships without affective responsability are doomed from the begining, it was definitely something while it lasted. I like the little moments when you realize he isnt a complete asshole, like when he brought each girl a drink that suited their taste or when he explained to Musa that it wasnt that he didnt want to train her because she was a woman, but because they were on the brink of war and it was dangerous for her. He cares, and i care about him, i just want him a Musa to be a happy couple.
Terra's personality annoys me so much lol, i know a girl just like her in really life and it annoys the shit out of me when i know something is right and she comes acting like she knows best and everybody elses work is mediocre, this is unrelated to the writing of her character really, is just an unfortunate coincidence. Her coming out arc was nice and her scenes with the specialist were kind of sweet but i dont think they have chemestry with each other. There's not much more to say about her, she isnt my favorite character and i doubt she'll grow on me but thats nobody's fault.
AISHAAAAAA, i like her a lot, i think they could've given her more scenes with Grey. Like at the end she tells him he lied to her for months and....i dont think we even got a scene of them just...hanging out besides the one where they kissed, i would've loved to see more of their relationship on screen and i would like for them to explore what he told her the day they left the pub about her not having to carry the weight of her friends, she is the smartest but she should allow herself to be a teen (this goes for every one of those poor girls, if Sebastian had any good point, it was the fact that they should be enjoying their lives as teenagers).
Stella, i know we all miss the og cartoon Stella, but if they were going to change her character i dont think this is that bad of a change. I mean the image of her back covered in blood because she was trying to get rid of the gem was heartbreaking and she has had good progress with letting people in and forming genuine bonds with the girls, i enjoyed her friendship with Beatrix, hope they bring her back.
Flora is a 10/10 would recomend, badass bitch all the way, i dont think the show gave her all the praise that she needed, she literally took on dozens of magic sucking thingies to save everybody without a second thought, Bloom was ready to risk it all for 17 y/o boy next door but Flora was out here bringing the brains AND the muscle, they need to thank her appropietly. I also like that she is between nerdy and an extrovert, i feel like we only get those types of characters as a popular girl is secretly smart, Flora is just smart and outgoing and confident and its refreshing.
I support womens rights, but most importantly, i support Beatrix's wrongs. She was raised by Rosalind and Andreas and their dubious morals, she lost her father, her emotional suport boytoys and got pushed aside by the woman she thought would helo her discover more things about herself, i cant imagine feeling that alone and i 100% understand her actions. Hope they bring her back next season.
Thats all, ill watch next season, its a shame we were depruved of sparkly fairy outfits, but i doubt that'll change.

HSMTMTS REWATCH - TAKE TWO 1x7 Thanksgiving
Episode 6
Ricky vs Bowen Count: Ricky [5] Bowen []
This Episode:
Hair Ribbons: [1]
This Episode:
This opening is so chaotic
Gina getting a little jealous in the background.
Ricky seems genuinely taken aback and slightly confused that Nini is saying something nice
Seeing Ricky, Gina and Seb talking reminds me that Seb and Ricky are technically love interest in the play. Seb is Sharpay, Ricky is Troy. I really wish we got to see them rehearsing together or at least saw a small scene on opening night.
I like how Mike cared more about how late the party would be and who he was going to be hanging with more then trying to stop him from going.
EJ has been caught up with trying to be perfect and being seen that way that when he finally admitted his mistakes it actually felt good. It made him feel free from this thing he's been trying to be and felt more like himself. Not because he was being an honest person but because he finally admitted to not bein perfect. This episode is when he goes overboard with the honesty, but honestly (not intentional) I think he needed it. It said it feels right, and it probably does. To move forward you need to deal with the past sometimes. Getting everything off his chest gives him a step forward to being his actual self.
Redlyn my heart obviously!
HIs mom still should've been the one to try calling him not the other way around. I will say through how Todd says his name it's like he thought Ricky actually knew about him, maybe he thought Lynn mentioned him.
It was one thing when he thought his dad was starting to look for other people, that obviously bothered him but I believe they probably talked about how that happened and how it only happened once (as of now), so he was able to try putting on his facade a bit. But finding out both his parents are moving on and not only moving on, but that his mom has a full on new boyfriend out of town would be a lot. You brain would start going to different places. He's not just thinking about the change, he's thinking about how long they could've been together, is he the reason she decided to stay in Chicago instead of coming back. Cause lets think about this his mom could've very easily just gotten a different place in town so it be easier to see him at least, but she chose a completely different city to get away, then decided to stay there to stay away.
I love how Gina obviously never really been to a party before especially with people she feels comfortable around so she made cupcakes.
The hate is absolutely adorable on Josh
Ignoring your feelings is obviously a bad idea but she's saying what she personally does, which eventually doesn't work for her and she obviously realizes that it's not a good idea probably.
I love how they use West Side instead of North High the feud was there
The scene of Ricky and Ej doing the exercise with each other the first interaction they've had since the bathroom scene. Doing that exercise probably helped ease the tension a bit and realize they at least on their way to being better around each other.
I never realized how the kistechne scene with Nini and Gina reminded of Sharpay asking Gabriella about her staying in the second movie.
Gina's little happy dance is still very cute
The moment Gina's mom gets serious on the phone everyone is awkwardly smiling or just making an award face simply because she was on voicemail and everyone heard it, except Ricky. Ricky is the only one who knows about FEMA so it's safe to say he immediately knew something might truly be wrong.
Ricky is the first to get up, he knows whats about to happen and he gets Gina's stuff ready for her she doesn't have to deal with the awkwardness and uncomfortableness of getting everything ready in front of everyone.
I feel really bad for Gina here
Ricky was trying to reassure her that she still has him and that he's there for her, but because Gina has been through this before she automatically assumes there's no point in Ricky calling her. She's never really made friends that she's gotten close to before so she thinks he wouldn't actually want to keep in touch with her and pushes him away
Ricky at this point is thinking I started getting close with someone and now she's leaving. Just like his mom did. Gina telling him she doesn't think there's any point in calling her I feel like is what got Ricky to think about calling his mom again. Cause he's willing to try and stay in touch with Gina, so he'll try better to stay in touch with his mom
Nini running up to say sorry is has good intentions but after her conversation with Gina talking about how she wished she was the one to be able to leave it comes across weird. Especially with how later on what happened didn't seem to face her how leaving might actually effect her or her friends.
Honestly even though it feels out of nowhere and Ricky could've tried staying calmer at this point Ricky is probably really confusing him and not actually making him feel better at all. Gina was the only to properly understand what he's been going through. For majority of the show Nini has been going out of her way to avoid Ricky and then all of sudden is acting like everything between is immediately okay. He obviously still loves her to. HIme mentioning his mom getting a new boyfriend after two weeks of leaving sounding familiar makes sense here. Nini did quickly move onto to EJ no matter what she would've tried saying here, which most likely would've been aimed at him and start a fight that he didn't want. Nini would've easily declined this thought and pass the blame to Ricky but in the end Ricky did call her out on the truth
NIni getting annoyed by the word buddy is honestly annoying she seems more annoyed by him using it because he didn't let her talk. He used the buddies in his voicemail to show whatever she chose he'll try dealing with it. She then continued to avoid him then came out nowhere acting like hadn't then used the word buddies herself she doesn't really have a right to then get annoyed what he said to her.

Okay...
Star Lost reminds me of movies bcs of what happens and how it happens like how you describe the situation gives a more detailed picture in my head and that's one of the reasons why it's such a great fic. You could tell by the description itself that the fic is undoubtedly amazing then you read the actual chapter and everything just blows you away HDJSBSJ NO JOKE
You meet a cute guy during one of the most important days of your life and then you see him years later in the arms of your best friend—im shattered. It's how y/n never forgot him, how she held onto that memory of him and then seeing him again hears later, the feeling same as before. How it clicked to her like, "oh it's him.", BXJSBSJSN so good. Then the cute little scenes where purple before blue, bumping into each other. CRYING ON THE FLOOR JADE, IT WAS SO CUTE. yeah and then you know what also broke me in the first chapter?
Y/N COULD'VE HAD THE CHANCE DHSJBSJS he was right there in front of her, it could've been her instead of Hana 😭 but then 🤡🤡 haha okay sure.
The ending of chapter one absolutely sends me!! Felt like I was hit 6 ft below 🤕 mf went beep beep then ran me over.
OKAY CHAPTER 2 XBSJBSJSBS PLS THIS SO FUN I'M SORRY.
The foreshadowing of Seungmin in chapter one sent me, as you could tell from my reaction.
Y/n denying she knew Jinnie 😈 deserved. Oh please I relate so much with how y/n's just watching the guy she was caught up on– for years– caring for someone else. Absolutely wrecked me into pieces.
Hana and Jinnie are adorable tho, no doubt but oh my god Hyunjin's mannerism towards y/n??? Honestly, adorable. Folding her jacket neatly, refusing to teach her the correct form for bowling cause he thought it would be inappropriate– also thanking him for that cause then Seungmin did it 😳. It's so cute how he was prepared to lose despite encouraging her 😭 Hyunjin always thinking about what would y/n like is so cute. Man really bought the whole menu instead of asking.
So please continue it cause I'd really love to see what her reaction would be if she found out he was an idol hehe and also the pain, I'm living for it.
This is all I have in my head so far 🥲 also it's almost 4am so I probably left out some points BDHSVSHHSAHA
Ahh thank you for writing this beautiful work🌷

first of all, sorry it took me so long to get around to this, but i absolutely cherish this ask so much.
im so happy it reminds you of a movie ! it is kind of like a coming of age romance but with a lot of angst, and im so happy to share it all!
you captured the gist and emotion of my story so well with that line!! about meeting a cute guy, never forgetting and then seeing him in that situation later. it is simple but so much is possible. and yes !! she had the chance, he was right there and she could’ve just talked to him or potentially developed a romantic interest but then he met hana the same night.
im so happy you liked chap2 as well, and all of the things you pointed out, im honoured you noticed and remembered each. every little moment and interaction matters so much.
thank you for this absolutely beautiful review, i love you.
