Hey! So, I was wondering if you could do me a favor.

Can you tell me what’s been happening in ML since Miracle Queen?

I jumped ship back then because of Fandom Drama and Toxicity, and I can’t get ahold of the show itself because my internet is shit right now. I want to rejoin the fandom and catch up, but it isn’t easy to figure out what’s going on. Especially since my only available avenue for Fandom News is the… Uh… (be nice be nice be nice) Mess that is Tumblr.

Can you help me out?

Well we are well into Season 5 now. But I will try and summarize everything that happened that was important.

TIME FOR A GALE RECAP!

Season 4

-Luka and Marinette broke up in the first episode, Kagami and Adrien in the second.

-Jagged stone is Juleka and Luka's dad.

-Alya finds out that Marinette is ladybug because Marinette tells her

-Hawkmoth calls himself shadow moth

-The Peacock miraculous is fixed

-Ladybug gets a new form when she uses lucky charm.

-Ladybug can create akuma repealing charms

-Gabriel bottomed for a clown

-Turns out Fu wasnt the worst guardian because Su Han exists

-Chloe has a half-sister named Zoe who is basically her but not evil.

-Zoe becomes the new bee

-Chloé is back to season 1 self but now even more cartoonishly evil

-Felix returns and figures out Gabriel is shadowmoth immediately.

-All of the class gets their miraculous hero time at one point. (Four of them get it in one episode near the end of the season.)

-Alya gets the fox permanently, then has to pretend she isnt rena rouge anymore because plot.

-Alya gets to use the ladybug miraculous for a day

-Ladybug and chat noir are said to be couple of the year but ladybug hated the idea so much she yeets chat noir into a garbage can

-Kagami reads manga and is best girl this season

-Nino reveals to Adrien he is carapace and Alya is Rena Rouge because he thought Chat noir was a slut

-Sabine got akumatized due to racism

-Tikki is actually a hunger gremlin but gets over it

-Luka finds out Marinette is ladybug and Adrien is Chat noir but lies about knowing

-The 100th episode was a what if episode where Gabriel wins but not really. It was terrible and not worth viewing

-Adrien quits being chat noir due to all of the crap and feeling not valued only to come back as Chat Walker and Ladybug falls for him. He ends up returning as chat noir even though nothing really changed.

-Then there is an episode where Gabriel makes all of Paris act risky thanks to an akuma.

-Adrien tells Marinette he doesnt want to be a model

-Marinette trying to confess to him but plot interferes

-Felix appears and swaps places with Adrien and finds emilie in the basement

-Felix gets the dog miraculous and manages to snatch all of the miraculous except Ladybug and Chat noir's

-He trades them for the peacock which Gabriel agrees too

-Ladybug breaks down and almost gives up but chat noir is there to bring her back up

Season 5

-Bunnyx returns and they help her stop Monarch (cause thats his new name) from time travel.

-Nathalie realizes she has terrible taste in men and yells at Gabriel for his obsession with teenagers

-Adrien gets to stop being a model, but gets turned into a Siri

-Lila is doing evil s*** this season

-Ladynoir had a family in a dream

-Gabriel pretends to be a parent

-Nino makes a secret group to fight Monarch... ends up recruiting Lila and Gabriel

-Kagami and Luka are sick of bulls*** and try and pair up Marinette and Adrien

-Adrien realizes he's been in love with Marinette since the statue scene

-Marinette realizes she is in love with Chat noir

-There is a kwami swap episode that was ACTUALLY good

-Nathalie was actually Lara Craft in a past life

-The Kwamitoga is actually useful

-Joan of arc had an enemies to lovers slow burn with her Chat noir

-Marinette and Chat noir end up going on a date and Andre is NOT having it

-Marichat Kiss TWICE

-And the next episodes in order is a two parter where Zoe apparently gets the cat miraculous and Alya gets the ladybug miraculous again

Alright I keep thinking about this and I need to just type it out. It has to do with the Peacock Miraculous....

---Season 5 spoilers---

So we know the Peacock was broken and we don’t know how or when. It’s assumed that they found it broken.The reason this has been bothering me has to do with the Senti Kids [Felix, Adrien and Kagami].

First, we know that Emilie used it; that’s why she’s in her magic death coma. You can say it was from overuse of it while it was broken and thus worsened her condition. If I remember correctly, a user can only create one sentimonster at a time (create, release, create again). So if Emilie created Adrien then she also created Felix at the same time, which is why they are identical (at least that’s how I thought of it). If creating twins was on purpose or accidental...I dunno. There’s no way that Felix’s parents weren’t aware of this. It was implied that Felix’s father was controlling and the ring he wears now (which probably has his amok) was said to be from his father.

[By this logic, Amelie should have known all along that Gabriel was Hawkmoth unless they only told them they had the Peacock....but still, they have connections to the Miraculous! She had to have known! But I digress...]

Now here’s where I’m having trouble: Kagami. When was she created and by who? Was Emilie able to create another senti despite having already created one [Adrien/Felix] that still exists? If so, was doing that what broke the miraculous? Was she able to somehow break that rule and and succeed but end up breaking the Miraculous as a result?

The thing is...in Evolution when we see Gabriel give Emilie the miraculous, it’s already broken. From the context of the scene, it looked like it was the first time she’d get to use it (that was officially hers). So that couldn’t have been it...at least in terms of what caused it to break; worsening her condition, maybe. But in regards to the rule of a user needing to release a senti before creating a new one, I don’t know how Emilie could have been able to create Kagami along with Adrien and Felix.

No one else could have used it but Emilie cause no one else has gotten sick. Nathalie became Mayura for the first time after Kagami had already been introduced, so it wasn’t her (also she wouldn’t have been able to create any other sentis while Kagami was active).

The only other person I can think of who may have used it and had connections to Gabriel and Emilie is Felix’s father who apparently died; was that because he got sick from the broken Miraculous? I even thought that maybe his father created Felix by copying Adrien’s appearance...simply cause I don’t see why he’d create a daughter for Tomoe.

So yeah....figuring this out is driving me a bit nuts. How can there be multiple sentis around at once if the only person who used it after it being lost for 100s of years has been in a coma for at least one year? Unless the rule about needing to release a senti before creating a new one isn’t true. That would mean Emilie could have created all three and that worsened her condition and caused her magic death coma.

....or I’m completely misunderstanding it...

okay, so i kinda had this idea for a

MIRACULOUS ACTORS AU

(which i'm sure already exists somewhere because i'm unoriginal like that, but hear me out)

'Miraculous' is a wildly acclaimed tv drama. It's actually kinda dark too, but still amazing (it actually has character development too)

Mari is Bridgette and Adrien is Felix, and the rest play their same roles as in the series (except Gabriel, he's actually the director/producer of the series)

And i also offer you this:

Marinette Dupain-Cheng:

• oblivious af

• has a crush on adrien but thinks he doesn't like her back so she friendzones him constantly

• bffs with chloe, alya and luka

• is totally trying to set up luka with chloe

• also designs clothes, has a very suffessful clothing line

• plays bridgette in the "miraculous" tv drama

• used to date luka a long time ago but they are best buds now

Adrien Agreste:

• head-over-heels for marinette but is constantly friendzoned

• cat puns because he can

• son of the tv director, gabriel agreste

• bffs with kagami, nino and luka

• is totally trying to set up luka and kagami

• plays felix in the "miraculous" tv drama

Alya Cesaire:

• plays bridgette's best frien on the "miraculous" tv drama

• was a fangirl of marinette's character and accidentally went to a casting and got chosen for her role on the series

• totally ships adrinette, but is done with mari's bs

• started dating nino after their characters also started dating because they started spending a lot of time together

• bffs with chloe and mari, but also befriends lila (she's still kinda startruck with all her new famous friends, can't stop looking at lila through rose-colored glasses because of that)

Nino Lahiffe:

• plays felix's best friend on the "miraculous" tv drama

• young disney star who rose to stardom for his music and his amazing acting

• fell in love with alya when he saw her tumble into the set during auditions

• secretly asked the writers to give his and alya's characters more scenes together (he was bamboozled by the dating thing tho)

• bffs with adrien and luka, also best buds with the rest of the 'akuma class'

• the friendliest off all cast members, a social butterfly

Chloe Bourgeois:

• plays bridgette's rival/eventual friend on the "miraculous" tv drama

• is actually a sweetheart in real life, with fans, actors

• constantly donated to charity, but tells no one because she doesn't like to brag

• extremely shy too (she can't talk to kagami without becoming a tomato)

• is totally crushing on kagami, thinks it's unrequited

• absolutely has bi panic when she sees kagami and luka in the same room

• kinda hooking up with luka, but no strings attached (that's why mari is trying to set them up)

• bffs with alya, mari, adrien and luka

Kagami Tsuguri:

• plays bridgette's love rival/friend on the "miraculous " tv drama

• panics in gay when she sees chloe

• isn't out yet because of her family

• one time she was ogling chloe while she was talking with luka, and adrien came up to her and scared her, causing her to lie that she was looking at luka, thus making adrien want to set them up

• is convinced chloe hates her because he often chloe runs away when she tries to approach her

• bffs with mari and adrien, really good friends with luka too, but not quite as close as with the other two

Luka Couffaine:

• plays felix's love rival on the "miraculous" tv drama (they butt heads a lot for bridgette's affections)

• is actually a world-renowned rock artist, but he wanted to change it up a little and took up acting too

• accidentally finds himself in a love triangle that actually just two very chaotic girls that need to learn to communicate

• is actually aromantic (not asexual, he likes to mess around with people)

• used to date mari before he realized he didn't feel any romantic feelings for her (or anyone)

• they broke up in the best of terms tho, truly, they saw each other more as friends than as lovers

• a huge gabriel agreste's movies/series fanboy (even if he won't ever tell that to anyone, over his dead body)

Lila Rossi:

• plays bridgette's classmate/yet to be revealed main villain on the "miraculous" tv drama

• liar liar pants on fire

• likes to spread rumours around about all the cast members and what will happen in the series

• producers hate her

• but she's a damn good actor and the public seems to love her so they really can't kick her out (they really wish they could tho)

• everyone on cast kinda hates her too

• is trying to get with adrien, makes fun of mari to make her 'less appealing' to adrien (doesn't really work, boi is whipped)

• likes to wreck havoc in the relationships for the lols

Gabriel Agreste:

• director and producer of the "miraculous" tv drama

• ACTUALLY A GOOD FUCKING FATHER

• loves adrien very much, kind of overprotective of him after his wife's death

• but let's him have his freedom

• secretly has a bettinf pool with tom and sabine on when adrien and marinette will get together

• bffs with tom and sabine (mari's irl parents, they are still bakers), used to know each other in school and went on multiple double dates when emilie was still alive

• for some reason they never really organized a play date for mari and adrien when they were childre but oh well

The 100th episode came out...

So, the episode "Ephemeral" came out (and when I just thought this would be a normal, relaxing weekend). Now, before I really dive into this whole chaos that is the episode, I want to clear up some stuff for some people that saw my latest post **cough cough**mainly the one that commented on me not understanding the episode**cough cough**. The latest post that I did about the second trailer of "Ephemeral" was solely based on my thoughts on the trailer, and I repeat the TRAILER of the episode, not the episode itself. Now, THIS post is about the episode and my opinions on the EPISODE not the trailers or anything, if anything I will infer some stuff that I said in my others post to show that some of my theories were wrong or that some stuff that wasn't shown in the trailers has been cleared up in the episode. NOW, that has been cleared up, let's actually dive into the episode, shall we? :).

Okay, so I was contemplating on whether or not I should do the usual "unnecessarily detailed summary or synopsis of the episode" that I usually do, but I decided to just skip it today because one: I’m really sleep deprived, and two: I can probably guess that most of the fandom has already seen the episode.

So! (after a 2 hour nap...)Let's just dive in! (because I can't express how much this episode pissed me off.)

Warning: Spoiler to the episode "Ephemeral"

(Also, as always I am re watching the episode as I type this so I might have some unnecessary details. Anyway! Let's get into it!)

First things, first, how many scenes or reminders have we gotten since this whole thing started? I mean, even in the first season we got a frickin picture of Emilie, which was already hint that whatever Gabriel is doing it's for her, or, as he says, his "family". At this point of the show, I believe this is just to give him a sense of calm mind or at the least a reminder of why he is even doing this in the first place (because I believe he's starting to go a 'little' insane using those two miraculous over and over again.)

Okay, so is Bob Roth broke now? I mean, we knew he had obsession with money, but shouldn't he have at least 'enough' money to keep him satisfied and not crying about the coin that just fell into the sewers? (Btw I know this just a scene to fill in the empty void of this episode, but I just wanted to point it out :p).

Ummm, does anyone see that 'subtle' hit that Gabriel is controlling Adrien with his ring? Legit, when Adrien is starting to disagree with him because he wants to leave and have Adrien take over instead he touches his ring, as if he's a sentimonster that he can control to do as he says. We'll just have to wait until it's actually established, I guess.

Let's talk about Bob Roth's akuma form! Is his whole body the safe or is the safe just the outer shell and he's the coins? Whatever it is, this akuma form is still very confusing, and what is the akumatized object in the first place anyway? (I have so many questions already :0)

Okay, let's talk about the fight scene. First of all, why the heck does ladybug need every temporary hero to help her defeat this one akuma. I mean, I get the need of Viperion, Pegasus, maybe Vespera, maybe Polymouse, and maybe Carapace. But the others I don't really see a need for them in this specific battle. Maybe they had a bigger role in the battle before the exact scene we see, but I don't really know. I'm also bring up a fact that some other people have also brought up. The fact that they don't need Chat Noir's cataclysm. If they played their cards right they would have been able to defeat the akuma a much more easier and much more faster than they actually did. Because as we see, Purple Tigress is present during the battle so with her power of Collision and Pegasus power of Voyage they could easily defeat the akuma. (though I'm not going to complain with the use of Viperion tbh (¬3¬)). But all in all, I do think that they totally could've use the temporary heroes differently in this one. (Also, not to mention the amount of combination that Viperion had to do though. :0)

Wait a second his akumatized object was a giant ass coin. Convenient, I guess. Also, I'm just going to infer that his body is the coins now.

We love that we get to see Luka play a much bigger role in this episode then any other episode in the series already, just by seeing him witness the amount of stress and pressure that is put on Ladybug/Marinette (since he knows now).

Okay, I know Su-han is putting a lot of stress on Ladybug right now, but he do got a point though. Ladybug used 9 miraculous to defeat one akuma, NINE miraculous. And I know a lot of people would say, "Adrien had no choice he was just trying to obey his father!", and "He wouldn't be able to escape that big audience anyway!", but look at it this way through Su-han's eyes it looks as if that Chat Noir is neglecting his duties and Ladybug has to deal with the consequences of his mistake. And I also can already see that a lot of people saying, "Yeah, but this wouldn't have happened if they knew each other's identities," but, again here's the thing them knowing each other's identities can lead to life threatening situations, as seen later on in the episode so you can also understand where Ladybug is coming from. Anyway, all I'm saying that is no one, in my opinion, is in the wrong here in this situation and as I have said earlier Ladybug could have done this battle differently without using the nine miraculous that she did.

AnYwAy! Back to the episode! I love how Luka is also so done with this conversation or more so lecture between Su-han and Ladybug. Like, you can see it in his face, he's so done with it already XD. Also, the way that Su-han skips/hops out of the scene is so freaking hilarious! Is it just me, or are the creators just getting lazy at doing the transformations at this point?

MY LUKANETTE HEAAAAARTTT!! I know that this whole scene is supposed to be professional and all, but like you can't tell me that this scene doesn't perfectly demonstrate how good they understand and work with each other. I mean, COME ON IT'S TOO CUTE! (Also is sass eating tofu?) Not to mention, HOW CUTE LUKA IS THIS ENTIRE EPISODEEEEEEEE!!!!!

To be honest, I legit almost forgot that Luka already knows Chat Noir identity because of "Wishmaker". This just tells us how good Luka is at keeping a secret (¬‿¬). Not to mention, how in sync they are though and how easy they understand each other unlike some people, I'm saying names...

Anywho! Continuing on, looking at Viperion's face listening to this conversation shows how very worried he says, and I love that small detail about him. Also the fact that Ladybug can't take seriously the fact that Chat Noir is Adrien and when she does see for herself that he is Adrien she can't comprehend the fact, that she frozen is shock and forgets the mission is just a "wow, didn't see that coming" moment for me tbh. Not to mention, that Adrien is rubbing in the fact that he has been waiting for this moment his whole time he has had the miraculous and has met her, he's kinda going overboard in my opinion.

Look at that! Marinette is asking the same question I had! On whether or Chat Noir is the real Adrien or is Adrien someone different entierly? (also, Tikki not helping by rubbing in the fact that she has a crush on AdRiEn and now that we know that he's Chat Noir, we know that he's in love with Ladybug, and that kinda means that Adrien is in love with Marinette, who is Ladybug) ((damn this just keeps getting more complicated by the day)) Yes, Marinette has learned her lesson from telling Alya she is Ladybug.

Noting the fact, that when Marinette finds out Adrien is Chat Noir she can't stop seeing him AS Chat Noir, also that kinda nerves me, just a bit. Not to mention, the fact that Luka was the only one to notice that Marinette is bothered by something is another quality that I love about him :). Also, we just caught confirmation that Luka is indeed still inlove with Marinette and that he loves even more now, but he is still actively trying to help her find herself, whether or not it's about her love life. (sad fan moments ｡ﾟ(ﾟ´Д`ﾟ)ﾟ｡). Also, this the one time that I really hate Luka giving advice to Marinette, wait scratch that maybe the second moment (I just remembered the time he told her to go after Adrien in "Frozer"). It's the fact that upon hearing Luka's advice does she start to see him differently, that makes me unbelievably sad because my ship...｡ﾟ(ﾟ´Д`ﾟ)ﾟ｡(If it wasn't obvious I'm a lukanette stan)

Now, I just want to mention this once, because I know that if I say this the Adrinette shippers will track me down and probably murder me on the spot, but here goes nothing. Let's just notice the fact that Adrien says that he can't believe the fact that one of his bestfriend's is his "one true love"....BESTFRIEND. Here it is, the confirmation Adrien did NOT see Marinette as anything BUT a FRIEND! Even it took Marinette a couple of days to get her feelings sorted out, but NoOoOo Adrien already knows that his bestfriend being his love interest is valid enough to establish your in love with said person. (hehehe this pisses me off a little if you can't tell) Now, I'm gonna end that there before anyone comes to murder me.

Not them acting lovey dovey after one day of knowing each other's identities (or at least for Adrien it's one day). Also, what the heck did he put in that frickin note? I'm curious now.

So, it only takes one word, ONE WORD for him to figure out that Adrien is Chat Noir. I SWEAR TO GOSH THIS SHOW JUST LOVES TO PISS ME OFF BY NOT MAKING SENSE! Not to mention, Gabriel has no remorse in what he is doing to his son to just get his miraculous. And I thought he was trying to be a good father. PFFT who am I kidding, this dude was barely even trying.

This is the fourth time that the number 100 has come up, the FOURTH time. I think they're shoving the fact that it's the 100th episode a little to much.

AND AGAIN, we see Gabriel using the ring that he is wearing, which is supposedly a family heirloom to control Adrien into subduing into his commands. I mean, at this point what else are we supposed to believe, it's right there, Gabriel is clearly controlling Adrien, and with that we can easily infer that he is a sentimonster. All we need is canon confirmation, but are we going to get that? Probably not.

Not Luka being the one that Marinette contacts instead of Alya (¬‿¬). Also the fact that he immediately jumps into action and legit runs and bikes all the way to her home. I'm just like AWWWHHHHH. LUKA IS THE REAL MVP OF THE SHOW!! (Meanwhile, Shadowmoth throwing a legit child like, four feet away, after getting the miraculous) The way that Sass says "My master!" with his arms out, just shows how proud he is and that just melts my heart.（〜^∇^ )〜 Not to mention, the fact that all the kwamis are already comfortable with him, then again they're in a dire sitiuation, but still T3T. Though, we also got a glimpse of what the other Ladybug holders look liked before so that was a cool treat, I guess.

You know, I just got the irony that this episode came out during day light savings and they to bring everything back to normal they have to reset the time, clever, I guess. The transformation sequence was cool, but it was pretty short, to be honest, so I wasn't really impressed by it.

After they fix the time and everything goes back to normal and Marinette has a final talk with Su-han the episode ends. But wait a second, did Ladybug retrieve Luka's miraculous? Looks like we'll never know....*ominous ghost music*

AnYwAy! All in all, this episode was interesting and very amusing to watch if I'm going to be honest. BUT I was very pissed off during the episode because of some of the scene. Though, Luka being the MVP really balanced everything out. Now, don't get me wrong this is not going to be one of my favorite episodes, but it's also not going to go into my least favorite episodes (mainly because of the involvement of Luka). So this episode probably will land in the middle of my list.

Anyway! that is the end of this rant, I hope everyone has a great rest of their day or morning(?) and always remeber...

(Btw I'll be doing my rant on the latest trailer that came out for the "Gabriel Agreste" episode later tonight ((or morining really)) Man, it seems like the creators are releasing these trailers and episodes like hotcakes.)

"A-Adrien?" She took a few steps forward, eyes scanning the scene in front of her trying to make sense of it.

Chat had sent her the coordinates, and she had came as soon as possible, but there was no Chat Noir in sight.

Only Adrien, who was kneeling on the ground next to a man she couldn't quite see from the distance still between her and them.

And Emilie Agreste. Dead, or in a coma. But in a casket type device all the same.

"I... I didn't mean to, m'lady." Adriens voice broke, and he seemed to tighten his grip on the man in his arms.

Her heart was pounding.

M'lady. So Adrien was...

But that felt so unimportant right now, because... apparently from the way he was acting he had done something bad.

Marinette finally made herself move forward.

And there was the final member of the Agreste family.

Gabriel Agreste was the man in Adriens arms. Currently unconscious and bleeding from a deep gash in his head.

Marinette managed to squash down her shock, slowly crouching to be level with Adrien.

He looked distraught.

His face was pale and tears were running down his face rapidly as he stared wide eyed at his father. He was chewing his lip enough to make it bleed, and was trembling visibly.

"Adrien. Just breath for me, ok? Everything will be fine. Can you tell me what happened?" she murmured, her eyes falling on the man in his lap.

"I... I've had my suspicions about what my dad does down here s-so I followed him this time. He... he saw me and began getting really mad and screaming at me. I've never seen him so mad and I got really scared he was going to hurt me, or... or do whatever he's done to my mother..." at the mention of Emilie, Adriens voice cracked and he let out a shaky sob. His nails dug into Gabriel's arms and his brows furrowed.

"I- I transformed. To defend myself. But... but then he transformed into Hawkmoth and he was trying to grab my ring and... and I didn't want to hurt him but I had no choice!" A sob erupted from Adriens throat, so pained and miserable that it made Marinettes own eyes prick with tears.

She couldn't begin to fathom Adriens pain.

He had lost his mother and now there was no way he would remain with his father.

He had no family left except...

"It's ok Adrien. You... you have me, ok? Let's get you out of here and somewhere safe and we can... deal with all of this later" she urged, holding her hand out to him as she stood up.

"W-what about..."

"Just leave him" her tone was far colder than she had intended as she looked at the man still half on the blondes lap.

Adriens eyes widened and she sighed, crouching down again.

"He's alive, all you did was knock him out. But he is going to wake up, and when he does I don't know what he's going to do to you. You're my priority, and we need to get you somewhere safe where you can process all this" she explained, and Adrien gave a small nod, biting his lip and trying to stop the tears.

She stood and held her hand out, and this time Adrien let her pull him to his feet.

She began walking back towards the elevator when Adrien grabbed her hand.

Before she could inquire about what he was doing he engulfed her in a crushing hug.

"Thank you so much, bugaboo. I'd... I'd be lost without you" he breathed and she found her cheeks burn red slightly.

"I'd do anything for you, Chaton" she murmured in response.

Miraculous theory!!

I have seen this theory before but me and my friend were talking about it and made a new theory. I will be sharing both theories here.

tl;dr: Felix could be a sentimonster. Adrien could also be sentimonster but it is less likely.

The original: Adrien is a sentimonster.

The theory is the real Adrien was in an accident shortly before become Cat Noir. This would explain why Gabriel is so overprotective of Adrien. Also why he is so inconsistent on if he cares for Adrien or not.

The Amuk is in the rings and that is why they are so important to Gabriel.

This is what sent Emilie into her coma/death. It took so much energy to make Adrien and might be the reason the miraculous broke.

In order to make Adrien, they copied him from Felix. The 2 are almost identical. This lines up with what happened behind the scenes.

Adrien is perfect at everything.

Other reasons(this is a more common theory and if you want more go find a better person to explain)

I don’t really support this theory because me and my friend made a better version.

New and improved version: Felix is a sentimonster.

Either Amelie and her husband couldn’t have kids or the real Felix was in an accident so Emilie used the peacock miraculous to make Felix.

If it was the first one then the reason for coma/death is because keeping Felix working from a long distance and aging him up every so often finally took its toll on her.

If it was the second one then the same rules as if it were Adrien.(see the other number 3)

The Amuk is probably still in the wedding rings which might be why Amelie wants them so badly.

Adrien was probably the base for Felix, they look identical.

This is the best bit of evidence:

Almost all Miraculous episodes are named after the Akumatized(and/or Amuked) Villain! The few that aren’t are always episodes where something important happens: the origin episodes, Felix(episode), and the season 2 finale. Felix doesn’t seem to fit with that list though. Unless it doesn’t belong on that list and fits in with everything else because he is actually a sentimonster!!!

Wings of Broken White - Ch. 3

Hawkmoth had learned the lesson Monarch did not. Do not mix the positive power of a Blessing with negative emotions. Instead, enhance those negative emotions with the power of something else. Let his Champions be fueled by the opposite of a Blessing, something that haunts and feasts on darkness.

Give them Demons; give them an Akuma.

But still. He knew that he had to pick carefully what emotions he harnessed and the people behind them. Hawkmoth couldn’t afford to lose control of another Champion. And Gabriel refused to risk his son.

So he bided his time, researching and studying whatever he could. And while he waited, he built his public empire, funding his underground renovations and the care needed to keep his wife healthy.

Still alive, Emilie was kept that way in a chemically induced coma to prevent further deterioration. To the public, she was missing. In private, she was under the care of doctors from the world’s best medical center, Mayo Clinic.

Adrien would have been aware of her whereabouts were it not for the mistake and loss of control over Monarch’s Blessing. Gabriel had delayed telling his son the truth, and now there was no way to tell what would happen if he knew; what powers White Rose had truly gained beyond what was originally planned.

The thing is, Hawkmoth would have never surfaced if Gabriel could have prevented it. He was ready to let his wife go. But he still needed to find a way to remove the Blessing from Adrien, so he continued to use the Butterfly Miraculous, continued learning about it and the others.

But Adrien just had to go missing one early morning, barely before the sun had risen. Gabriel couldn't find him, neither could Adrien’s ever-present bodyguard. So in an act of desperation, Hawkmoth was brought to be. He then Akumatized the worried and protective bodyguard, granting him an ability to track down their shared ward.

This only furthered things along and also put them to a grinding stop.

The wielders of the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculous arose to combat Hawkmoth’s Champion. Rather than admit why he was using the Butterfly in a dark way, he decided to reveal his last-ditch plan that he thought he would never bring himself to use, anyways.

He demanded their Miraculous. He was glad they refused, because he would not trust anyone so willing to give up such dangerous powers so easily instead of using them to protect.

So while plans to experiment with the use of Akumas were furthered, it was the mix of one Blessing and one Hero that halted everything.

Paris had very few albino citizens. It would be almost too easy to track down the potential civilian identities of Chat Blanc. But those white wings tipped in blue, so similar yet so contrasting to the black Starling wings of a younger Adrien? There was no way to deny such a similarity. And the Black Cat Miraculous itself would not change it’s own color scheme on a whim, either. Monarch himself had experimented with designs and color palettes, learning that only significant enchantments and magical interference could cause anything even a noticeable difference, not to mention such an extreme as turning Black to White.

The last nail in that theory's coffin was how Hawkmoth could feel the whispers of the Blessing influencing Chat Blanc. Certainly, it could have been a much older Blessing from a previous Butterfly Holder, but Gabriel highly doubted such coincidences could stack like this.

So, Gabriel accepted the facts. He felt heartbroken for his son that had to fight him, even if Chat Blanc didn’t know who he was fighting behind Hawkmoth’s mask. But he was so proud of him, too. Monarch’s Champion White Rose was doing what he was meant to; protect others from the harm of the Miraculous. And Gabriel’s son Adrien was free to be happy, as happy as he never was when inside the Agreste mansion, even when Emilie was still walking its halls. So Gabriel and Hawkmoth did nothing more than play his part as the fatherly villain.

He really didn’t mind how long it would take for it all to come to a close.

Despite her semi-disastrous first time as Ladybug, Marinette rather enjoyed the side-job.

Akuma’s were few and far between, and oftentimes could be talked down instead of fought head to head. Their abilities oftentimes got dangerous, yes, but Ladybug and Chat Blanc, not to mention the rest of Paris, were more than thankful that their Supervillain seemed to have at least some sort of moral code. He would prevent Akumatized villains from causing mass amounts of damage. Once, he had even taken back the powers and the Akuma that granted them, all because the Champion he had made was being unreasonably dangerous to innocent civilians.

Sometimes, she swore Hawkmoth would Akumatize students just so the whole district would have to let school out early due to the emergency. Maybe he had a soft spot for kids, maybe a child of his own? Either way, she appreciated the breaks.

Soon enough, a whole six months had passed since Hawkmoth first appeared.

The most recent attack had been earlier that evening. Marinette had to distract her Akumatized friend Nathaniel. He was akumatized because of Chloé. She had made fun of his art, at first. Then, to make things worse, she told him that he was right to have his and his boyfriend Marc’s hero-sonas to both be wingless, because the ones Nathaniel had were ‘wasted on his talentless existence’ and ‘if Marc wasn’t already wingless, then they would be utterly useless on him, too’. In general, it was a rather nasty scene.

Marinette had been quick to tell her to back off and leave Nathaniel and Marc alone. Adrien has sprung up right after her, telling Chloé not to talk to his friends like that, and even if she is his oldest friend he wasn't okay with her actions.

Marinette was proud of Adrien for standing up for others in the face of someone important to him. It was brave.

Unfortunately, their combined efforts didn’t prevent the Akumatization. Luckily, Evillustrator wasn’t a bad villain, he just really wanted to mess with Chloé with revenge-pranks.

Marinette got herself caught up in it by distracting him with other ideas. For example, using his power to create objects to set up a date with Marc. Chat Blanc had shown up part way into the setup of said date, and as a way to prevent Evillustrator from starting a fight, she had roped him into helping with the decoration ideas and music selection. He turned out to be a natural with romantic set-ups, and an even smoother talker, convincing Evillustrator to hand over his Akumatized item in exchange for them escorting Marc to the date’s location.

Marinette had managed to step away long enough while Blanc went to find Marc to transform into Ladybug, and called for her Lucky Charm just in case. It was nothing more than a red rose and she laughed happily to have a simple item with obvious intentions.

When Blanc returned, she showed herself and offered the rose to her partner, trying not to be flustered by her own romantic gesture. “Hold this for me, Kitty? I need to make sure their date goes well, and that means Nathaniel has to be here for it. Don’t want yours and Marinette's efforts to go to waste, now do we?”

Then, she took the Akumatized item from Blanc and broke it, purifying the butterfly within.

“What about the Lucky Charm?” Chat Blanc looked a tad confused. “As soon as you call for Miraculous Ladybug, everything Evillustrator made will disappear. Their date will go poof!”

Ladybug smiled knowingly. “Already thought that through. You hold on to that rose, okay? Or maybe let Nathaniel hold it? As long as I can find it again later, just make sure it’s safe. I’ll use Miraculous Ladybug long after their date is over, so nothing will get spoiled. Gotta go, Bug out!”

She returned to the scene as Marinette once more, finding a de-Akumatized Nathaniel on a successful date with Marc, and Chat Blanc still watching over them, happy for the couple. Satisfied, she made her way home, away from the setting sun.

Now, it was completely dark out and Marinette was drinking a thermos of hot chocolate on her balcony, wrapped in a warm blanket. The quiet night got interrupted by a shadow moving over the rooftops, followed by white boots lightly thumping onto her balcony. She sat up, surprised to see Chat Blanc still lurking about the city. He bowed theatrically with a gentle smile.

“Princess, what a lovely evening to see you! I presume I have found you safe and happy in your tower tonight?”

Marinette couldn't help but laugh. “You saw me maybe two hours ago, pretty-gryphlet, you know I’m perfectly fine.”

“True, but as your loyal, trustworthy, and handsome White Knight, I am obliged to check on you anyways.” He had bowed again and taken her hand, kissing the air above her knuckles ceremoniously. She had to fight back both her blush and her wing’s desire to flutter bashfully where they were hidden under the blanket.

“Silly gryphlet,” she smiled, before noticing his gloves were stained and had left some of it on her fingers. Then she noticed the dark spots on his boots and knees as well. She frowned in confusion, inspecting what was on her hand. “Why are you covered in dirt?”

“That dirty little secret,” he deflected the question easily with his pun and a cheeky smile, “I will explain soon. But first, I gotta ask, why do you call me ‘pretty Griflet’? I already know I look amazing, but is Griflet a reference to one of the knights of the Round Table? If so, I am honored to have such recognition.”

Marinette laughed and shook her head. “No, not a knight, a gryphon. You know, a mythological creature with the body of a lion and the wings of an eagle? You’re a cat, and you have wings, hence, gryphlet!” She explained proudly, before realizing how embarrassing it was to nickname one of the local Superheroes and retreated into her blanket.

Chat Blanc blinked owlishly at her explanation, but soon a smile bloomed on his face, and she could swear he was blushing under his mask.

“I like it,” he said softly, looking gentle and earnest.

“S-So anyways! Blanc Chat, I mean, Chat Blanc, I uh, You say were? Were saying? About the, uhm, dirt?” She turned away, grabbing her thermos to keep her hands busy.

“Oh! Right!” He brightened even more, his eyes starting to look like that of an excited kitten. “Come with me somewhere, Princess? I know it’s cold out so I won’t keep you long, but I wanted to show you something.”

She nodded, standing up and setting the thermos aside. Then she hesitated, once more remembering her wings. “I...Blanc, can you keep a secret for me?”

“Of course, what is it?” He looked curious and just so innocent. She couldn’t do it.

“Uh, never mind, next time, okay? I don’t think I’m ready. To say anything, I mean, not that I don’t want to see what you want to show me, but also I’m not ready to go yet for that either, wait, i meant-!” She closed her mouth with a snap, sucking in a breath and letting it out slowly. “What I mean is, let me just get something from my room real quick? I should really put on shoes and something warmer than pajamas. Then we can go!”

“Of course! I’ll be here when you’re done.” Oh Kwami, he was so patient with her, and understanding, too. Could he get any nicer, she wondered?

She fumbled her way back into her room, swiftly putting on a wing-binder, thick white leggings, and a warm long-sleeved baby blue dress. She remembered to grab some shoes, too. As she climbed back up to the balcony, she tried to ignore the fact that she had chosen to wear colors close to Chat Blanc’s. From the look on his face, he was probably trying not to think about it too much, either. “Ready, Marinette?”

“Ready. So uhm, how are we going to get there?” she shuffled on her feet, hands fidgeting.

He grabbed the thermos she had set down and put it into her hands, warming them, and subsequently her cheeks, too.

Politely he asked, “Permission to carry you?”

“Granted? Wait, carry? Like, on your back carry or- Woah!” He answered by sweeping her into a classic princess carry. “Uh, works, I guess, this does? I mean- Okay,” she finally squeaked out.

He chuckled and held her securely, but gentle. “Let’s not waste time. Hold on tight!”

She didn't scream dramatically when he jumped from her balcony, but she also won't admit she might have squeaked again from the unfamiliar feeling of jumping over rooftops while untransformed, let alone while being carried.

But the trip to their destination really was rather short, as only a couple minutes later he was setting her back down on her own two feet.

The rooftop was surrounded by decorative iron fencing. Candles, protected from the wind in glass jars, lined the top of the railing and between the bars. What really caught her eyes, however, where the Lily-of-the-Valley flowers spread around decoratively. She couldn't help but gape at them. The scene was gorgeous, and she wondered why Chat Blanc had brought her here. Did he do this? Was this why he was covered in dirt? She turned to him where he stood looking almost nervous for her reaction.

“Chat...It’s beautiful. Did you set this up? Did you get these flowers yourself?”

He perked up, glad to see she wasn’t reacting badly. “I did. I also learned I’m a really bad gardener,” he chuckled, and she smiled, amused. “And don’t worry, I didn’t steal any of this stuff, it was all mine already. Well, sort of. The candles were my Mother’s, and I use them sometimes. The flowers came from our yard- They would have died soon anyways, the brief warm spell this week made them bloom too early, so I thought I might as well put them to use. So, you like it, Marinette?”

She giggled and nodded, looking away shyly. “Why set all this up, anyways? Special night?”

He nodded, his own gaze shy as well. “Sort of? Ladybug trusted me with something. And earlier today, this amazing girl I know helped me take down an Akuma. So I wanted to prove I can be trusted with Ladybug’s thing, while also getting to show that amazing girl how much I appreciated her, even if it is only for a little bit. Here,” he stepped to the side, bringing Marinette’s curious gaze to a small table she hadn't noticed before.

It had a few more candles and flowers on it, but there was a delicate vase in the center. She quietly gasped as she noticed the red rose, Ladybug’s Lucky Charm, sitting in the vase. Chat Blanc plucked it from its place and held it out to her.

“For the most creative and wonderful Princess in all of Paris,” he smiled, bowing as he presented the rose. He chuckled sheepishly, then, “Well, you can’t keep it forever, because it is Ladybug’s, but I figured that if anyone was worthy of keeping it safe until she needed it, that person would be you.”

Dumbfounded and flustered into silence, Marinette accepted the rose with her free hand.

“Well, I guess I should take you back home now, huh?” He asked awkwardly.

“O-Oh, uh, sure,” she agreed, still distracted as she held the red rose close to her chest.

This time, she was prepared for him to lift her, and she stayed quiet on their way back to her balcony. This time, she noticed how warm he was and just how easy it was to trust him even as a civilian. She wouldn't admit to being sad when he set her down again, though.

“Until next time, Princess; I hope to see you again,” once more he took her hand and gave the air over her knuckles a kiss, but before he could let go, she clutched his fingers tight, pulling his attention up to her eyes.

“Uhm- It’s cold out, and I barely touched my hot chocolate anyways.” She turned his hand over and set her thermos into his palm. “Take it with you. You can return it, next time we meet.”

He beamed at her and nodded. “It’s a date,” he winked teasingly, and she giggled. “See you later, then. Have a goodnight, Princess.”

And just like that, he was gone, and Marinette was left a blushing mess on her balcony until Tikki finally came out and told her to go to bed.

In the morning, the red rose was still where she left it on her desk, proving the night before was no dream. Tikki then informed her that it had slushed a bit while she slept, so she should be careful when she goes outside.

Ladybug went off in the early morning to check on Evillustrator’s reactions, only to find that they had been washed away by the sleet. It seemed that just like all other forms of art, even the magical creations of an Akuma were susceptible to the natural elements when exposed long enough.

So that morning, Ladybug returned an intact Lucky Charm to Marinette’s room, and Marinette got to keep the gift of an everlasting red rose.

Haven’t watched MegaLeech and won’t until all the episodes from 5 onward are out, but

Good to see sentimonster!Adrien is making the rounds again. :) No I am not avoiding spoilers.

There are plenty of reasons why he isn’t (he can be injured like a normal person, there’s no clear evidence on what a normal Cataclysm will do to him, he eats, he has human flaws, etc.) but I still love thinking about all the reasons he could be. Way more fun, even though I don’t actually think the show will go this route (I also don’t really like it as far as canon; it’s just a cool little fanon toy).

One of the things that still stumps me (and others) is the problem of where his amok is and whether his father actually has control over him in this way. The reigning theory is that the amok is in one or both of the rings Gabriel holds. If it is in the one he took off Emilie and not the one he wore before then, well, then this scene that everyone is freaking out about in MegaLeech is...interesting. Of course, the question is, if that IS where Adrien’s amok is being kept, then why hasn’t Gabriel just used it all the time?

My thoughts have always been that Adrien (if he IS a sentimonster) is Emilie’s creation. She made this complex being and therefore she has the most control over him. Gabriel could, in theory, control Adrien through the amokatized object, but Emilie should have greater control, being his creator. I considered at first that making and sustaining such a complex creation was her downfall; sustaining Adrien for that long broke the Miraculous and started to harm its holder.

Here’s a thought I like better: Adrien broke the Miraculous with a first, unexpected defiance. Miraculous Ladybug likes to push the boundaries of the lore all the time, so what if a Sentimonster began to behave in ways a Sentimonster shouldn’t? What if he became more independent, began acting more like a real child, defying orders and developing a personality beyond what Emilie intended for him?

He broke the Miraculous by defying an order, and Emilie began to get sick. Gabriel might have tried to control Adrien, but Adrien was developing beyond his purpose--he was an anomaly, and could not be fully controlled. So Gabriel had to use other methods, resorting to using the amokatized ring only when he needed a last push to get his son to obey. Because Adrien would no longer jump at his command unless he pulled the right strings.

Just a fun thought for me. Still don’t think it’ll happen. But, like I said...it’s fun to consider.

—okay so this is cheating and I know it, since Uncertain Humors (the one where Marinette/Adrien is both Orpheus/Eurydice and Theseus/Ariadne) is nowhere near finished, never mind posted (maybe I'll get “Sanguine” done to post on my birthday?)

but it is still my favorite of the year. as you might guess from that description of the story, this scene has content notes for character death:

Hell is a maze. Marinette walks.

This acrid passage has little to see but damp stone, seeming blood-stained in the dim carmine light. At about the height of her heart, the faintly glowing thread cuts through the not-clammy air; it ought to be pulsing at the same rate as the heart it's bound to. She might be able to see her own reflection if she looked down at the open sewage pipe, or at one of the puddles that now and again she splashes through, dampening the canvas of her shoes. She might see reflected what's behind her.

She remembers Mme. Mendeleiev lecturing on human physiology. In healthy humans old enough to have learned how, urination is a voluntary action: one may not know which muscles one tenses and relaxes in order to do so, and probably isn't paying attention to those details when one is doing, but one has conscious control over whether one does. Usually. Stress and anxiety mean some people are unable to relax the relevant sphincter muscle and others are unable to stop themselves. It's voluntary for cats, too: it's one way they mark their territories. Cat-boys have other ways.

There is a moment in every human life when all one's muscles relax at once. Some Parisians have had several such moments.

The thread is braided with itself around her left fourth finger, rows of tiny red half-hitch knots, and falls loosely over the back of her hand to loop twice around her wrist. She holds it wrapped between the fingers of her right hand to keep it at a constant tension, as though knitting with this insubstantial thread, so fragile for something two (two dozen, two million) lives hang from—too thin to sew with, no thicker than one strand of his hair. As she walks, she winds it around and around and around her wrist.

Between her ring finger and her right hand, it loops twice.

Marinette's shoe lands in a puddle she didn't see. The rainwater splashes soundlessly onto her bare ankle and on the stone.

(With cat-like tread, upon our prey we steal— It's a very loud song.)

She walks on.

6) A fic or scene that challenged you:

where the firelight fades, no contest. this is the second story I’ve ever been able to stick with more than a couple hundred words past the 20K mark, but it’s easily the twentieth novel-length I’ve begun. (though also, you know that kedreeva post? well, 90K later, I’m less than 15K from completing this 10K fic! I think.) and I have been learning so much about long-form fiction.

there has also been a lot of weeping and tearing my hair. case in point: I just trashed the chapter 15 draft because I figured out the reason it wasn’t going anywhere! I can probably keep the first few hundred words of that draft without any editing, and another few hundred with some revision...

Everything about their partnership is fragments of sentences in the dream diary Adrien writes in ultraviolet pen. Disjointed flickers of thought even when examined under the black light he hides in the snack cabinet under packets of Super Yoyo sandwich cookies and bags of cheesy Monster Munch potato chips and boxes of petit écolier butter cookies (chocolat noir)—none of which explains the gym-socks smell. All fleeting incoherent flashes, invisible between the mundane lines of La Modification shelved at his bedside between Leroux and Dumas. None of it is solid. Adrien has more proof his room's haunted.

okay let me break this down for you!

* Adrien started a dream diary to make sense of the memories

* in invisible ink, in a book that (according to Wikipedia) is thematically appropriate and won’t (if Gabriel sees it) look like anything other than Adrien developing an interest in French literature

* shelved between Phantom of the Opera and The Three Musketeers

* look I didn’t come up with the name “black light”

* or “chocolat noir” for what English speakers call “dark chocolate”, or “petit écolier” (that is, “little schoolboy”) for that sort of butter cookie

* also not my fault that “chocolat noir” sounds remarkably like “Chat Noir”, which, attentive readers may have noticed, is not a name that appears in the story after the header and before Miraculous Cure

* I found the website of a store in Boston, Massachusetts that caters to French expats, and the yo-yo cookies and the monster chips were right there in the photos, y’all

* the snack stash and the black light live in the cabinet where, in canon, the Camembert lives; yes, that cheese smells in the real world like gym socks

* this story’s akuma was not able to affect anything but squishy human memory: nobody affected remembers anything about Ladybug or Chat Noir or Hawkmoth, not in any solid way, not even when they read news articles about the subject, and this includes Marinette and Adrien not being able to see or hear or remember their own kwamis—but you know what Adrien’s Insta post about his poltergeist and Adrien’s Insta post with the floating sock don’t show and don’t explicitly refer to?

I’m starting work on a fantasy novel, a Sleeping Beauty retelling in which I explore (among other things) the economic consequences of the king’s ordering all the spinning wheels burned, and I want to make significant progress on that. and I want to not make my hands any worse; I kind of need those!

(breaking news alert: bodies fucking suck. so does giving yourself repetitive stress injuries in doing one and a half to two people’s worth of work for an organization that was never ever going to pay you more than one person’s worth of pay.)

Ladynoir and Stray

Chapter-1 It’s over

Hey guys just like I told you, here is the first chapter. It shows the scene when they finally defeated Hawkmoth.

She did it. She did it. SHE DID IT. Marinette wanted to scream in delight. She wanted to laugh and cry all at the same time as she clutched the butterfly miraculous in her hands. She was on the top of Eiffel tower and in front of her was the limp figure of Gabriel Agreste. The only indication of him being alive was the movement of his chest. She raised both her hands and showed them to whole Paris. The whole Paris watched as their beloved heroine screamed with tears running down her face,"Its over."Each person hugged and cried. After so many years they can finally cry, finally feel pain which was traumatizing during Hawkmoth's Reign.

She used her Miraculous ladybug. She felt arms wrap around her. She turned to fully hug Chat Noir as he cried. Reporters came to take their input. They both turned to the camera. Chat Noir removed his ring and gave it to Ladybug. Everyone was surprised to see Adrien Agreste the son of the terrorist standing there with red eyes."I am Adrien Agreste, as you all can see my father is Hawkmoth. I was given the duty of(hiccup) of helping Ladybug to defeat Hawkmoth. He never talked to me . The only time he used to talk to me was-"Tears started streaming down his cheeks"-was when, he he wanted to scol-scold me, wanted to tell me how disappointed he is with me." His voice broke to a point that he could no longer talk. Everyone turned expectantly to ladybug.

"I will not be revealing my identity. Chat Noir or as you know Adrien is retiring."

A series of Why's and Why not, How's echoed through the room. Ladybug raised a hand to get them to stop.

"Chat Noir's whole life has been destroyed due to miraculous. Apparently, Emilie Agreste and Gabriel Agreste used the miraculous for fun and for some reason the peacock miraculous broke. She still continued to use it which led to her going into a magical coma.Slowly all the life drained from her. His father used the butterfly and peacock miraculous because he wanted her back. Due to the same reason, Natalie Scouncer collapsed mid-battle and has been declared to be in a critical condition. Gabriel Agreste is alive and will be handled by legal methods."

Adrien stepped on her side," Don't pity that man, he used me like a tool. He was willing to kill me for the miraculous. He even killed the last guardian because he had passed the guardianship to someone else. He murdered all the people in different ways. We were mere teenagers. He still did not stop. He had no shame in manipulating his own son by using his dead wife. I don't want any connection to him. If it weren't for Ladybug I would've been akumatized. Both of us had to bottle up our emotions because we can't get akumatized. We have to lie, get hurt, we were even suspected to be working with Hawkmoth because we didn't get akumatized. Even justice league laughed on our face. We didn't even knew our powers. We all had to suffer so much just because this man was possessive. I hope that this man never sees the light of the day."

Ladybug hugged him as he broke down once again,"I have a bad news for you."

Everyone stared at her in shock."As much as I want this to end, this hasn't finished."

"What do you mean Ladybug?"Nadja asked her.

"Maybe you remember the Timetagger akuma. That akuma came from future Paris. This means we are going to have another Hawkmoth situation, but this time we will be ready. Are you with me?"

The whole place echoed with yes. "I am sorry to give you this news on this day when we finally got rid of Hawkmoth but we have to be ready otherwise we are going to suffer even more."

While she was saying this tears were running down her cheeks,"But-But always remember that Ladybug will al-always be be there for you." Then she broke down in front of the whole world. She dropped down on her knees. She was sobbing so loud that she startled everyone. Everyone saw as after bright pink light her suit was gone instead she was wearing black leggings and a pink shirt. On her eyes was a black mask. She and Adrien hugged each other tightly and cried for the first time in 3 years.She forcibly pulled away and whispered while covering her mouth with her hands,"Tikki spots on." She wordlessly swung away.

When she reached home, her parents were sitting in front of the TV. She went in front of them.

"Ladybug." Tom and Sabine said.

"Tikki spots off." Then she removed her mask. She jumped into her papa's arms.

"Its over mamma papa, its over. I don't have to lie, I don't have to tolerate the bullying and-and." Her parents asked her nothing. They knew how difficult it was for her to lead a team experienced and how hurt she was lying to them. So, they just hugged her and simply said, "Shhhh Yes, my baby its over."

Everyone in Paris were crying, all adults and children were crying alike as even it is over for only a few years, IT IS STILL OVER.

Across the world every news channel was broadcasting the news of the defeat of Hawkmoth and in space a man with a bat on his chest turned to the heroes, with a very dangerous glare he said as the remote in his hands cracked," What did he mean when he said Justice league laughed on their faces?" A man in green curled in on himself under his glare. The whole team gulped.

Adrien has retired. Marinette is alone. Batman is not happy and the whole JL is scared for the sake of their lives (Shiver) Well they should be cause the black hair and blue eyes of Ladybug have awakened DADDYBATS and everyone should be scared of daddybats.

I almost cried while writing. Oh god. The wording....well.....I couldn't write it good enough cause there was so much noise in my room. Sorry for that. In the next chapter why is tim stray in this book.

The Ultimate “Adrien is a Sentimonster” Collection

This might sound crazy, but it’s a definite theory and has backing from the show itself. It explains a lot of unresolved questions, and there’s foreshadowing for the show.

(NOTE: This post was last updated on 30th October 2021, the day of the US premiere of 412 “Crocoduel”. Edits with more information may be subject to be added or rectified based on new evidence in-show episodes/specials released.)

SETUP

In “Feast”, Master Fu made his own Sentimonster for his reasons, and caused the destruction of the Temple of the Monks. He detransformed and ran with the last copy of the Grimoir and the last box of Mirauculous.

Fu safely jumped over the canyon and Feast fell into the lava, thought to be dead. Master Fu picked up all the Miraculous in the snow, but the Butterly Miraculous, Peacock Miraculous, and the Grimoir. All fell down into the canyon below.

Many and many after the events, Gabriel and Emilie travelled to Tibet. They found the two Miraculous and the book. Before the events of “Origins”, Emilie used the Peacock Miraculous for something, and died/fell into a coma, setting off the stack of dominos to fall into place for the current show: Gabriel becomes Hawkmoth, Fu needs allies, Marinette and Adrien are given their Miraculous. But the question still remains, what did Emilie use the Peacock Miraculous for? And why did she use it even though there was no need for a villain or a hero of the Miraculous?

Why did Emilie use the Peacock Miraculous?

The main theory is Gabriel and Emilie wanted a child, but they couldn’t have one. Either due to their biological make, or they had a child, but he ended up dying. In their anguish, they made another child to replace him. It may seem to be a genie trickery wish, since

Why is the Peacock Miraculous damaged? How do you damage a Miraculous?

The creation of Feast is what broke the Peacock Miraculous. A Sentimonster existing beyond the time the Holder is transformed and stayed for too long, and the Amok doesn’t return back or de-evilised exerts too much pressure on the Miraculous itself. That initial Sentimonster creation caused Emilie to fall sick and eventually become her current state.

Gabriel is overprotective of Adrien.

The main relationship between Gabriel and Adrien has always been seen as problematic: a “single” father constantly neglects his son of any familial love and affection, even prohibiting him from going to school and outside his usual full schedule for friends outings because he’s overprotective of him.

Now the surface level explanation is that Gabriel is protective of Adrien because he lost Emilie. Why would he be overprotective of Adrien if “Feast” confirms Emilie is harmed by the Peacock Miraculous? I don’t see Adrien going, “Dusuu, transforme moi!” (”Dusuu, spread my feathers” for you English dub viewers.)

We know an Amok and Akuma can remain active even after the Holder has detransformed, and Sentimonsters can be Akumatised.

“Feast” proves it with the Peacock Miraculous, and “Startrain” has proved the same for Hawkmoth. This is something very specific to the Butterfly and Peacock Miraculous, since Ladybug’s Lucky Charm (“Oblivio”) disappears when she detransforms.

We see that Feast can be Akumatised, so it makes it possible since Chat Noir/Adrien was also Akumatised seven episodes later in the production order. So there isn’t some kind of Akuma block when Hawkmoth would try to Akumatise Adrien.

Adrien is perfect.

This is something absolutely hammered in the show. Adrien is so perfect and nice, it feels almost inhumane how such a person can exist. We see the show from Marinette’s perspective, but Marinette hasn’t seen the scenes we see with Gabriel being Hawkmoth or even Adrien’s rare physical interactions with people when she’s not present at the same time.

“It is dangerous to misuse the Miraculous.”

This is a repeated statement. Hawkmoth and Mayura both misuse their respective Miraculous; they misuse it for evil and villainous deeds rather than the intentional heroic purpose.

Adrien is allergic to feathers.

Do I need to explain?

Ties into the Season 2 plants for Adrien’s death.

Quite a few episodes in Season 2 foreshadowed Adrien’s death. In “Frozer”, Ladybug tell Chat,

“I can’t imagine a life without the boy I love.”

In “Catalyst (Heroes’ Day - Part 1)”, Chat Noir fake dies in Volpina’s illusion. There’s more, but this isn’t the “Dead Adrien” post.

These plants (film terminology for pieces set in place. Think of it as a Chekhov’s Gun or something that foreshadows an event.) set up in Season 2 fit together with Sentimonster Adrien since he’s not ‘alive’, but he is living. Tomoe could have more information on this than she’s shown to know.

Gabriel’s affiliations with Tomoe Tsurugi (Kagami’s mother)

Tomoe and Gabriel are quite close, to an extent where Kagami is the only real person Gabriel will let Adrien talk to generally. Like in “Animaestro” or “Backwarder”, where they are intentionally spending time with one another.

In “Feast”, we get a brief glimpse of Tomoe when the news reporter talks about the Order of the Guardians’ temple. Suspiciously placed between people extremely related to the Miraculous.

Nathalie’s sickness is happening so fast.

Nathalie and Emilie are confirmed to have the same sickness, but Nathalie’s health is deteriorating quite rapidly. Quickly becoming deadly and affecting her day to day activities. (”Feast” and “Ladybug” both show her illness causes ‘disruptions’ to plans scheduled.)

One more piece of evidence is the theory of Emilie’s illness being slower than Nathalie’s. The effect of Fu’s Sentimonster affecting Emilie, but Fu’s Sentimonster and Adrien both affect the Miraculous, damaging it further. This makes her state worsen.

Hawkmoth/Gabriel has never said explicitly that he will wish his wife back to life/consciousness.

He has said in the opening minutes of “Chat Blanc”:

“Emilie, I miss you every moment. But one day, I will get the Miraculous of Ladybug and Cat Noir, repair the mistakes of the past, and make sure you return to us.”

It’s even shown in “Party Crasher”, right after he hangs up on Nathalie to harvest the butterflies.

“Emilie, we miss you so much. But you'll be back with us very soon. Thanks to my akumas, it's only a matter of time before I take control of their Miraculous. Merging them will grant me absolute power to reshape reality, and finally reverse our past mistake.”

In “Catalyst (Heroes’ Day - Part 1)”, Nathalie and Gabriel spoke in front of the outside Emilie statue.

“You made a promise to your wife. You’ve risked so much for the chance to bring her back.”

And even though it isn’t as explicit as the previous two, it proves Emilie knew she was dying/losing consciousness. So she had some agency over what happened to her, so she knew she was dying and made Gabriel promise to bring her back.

This means Hawkmoth’s wish could be to make Adrien a real boy (a la Pinocchio).

Bugette Sentimonster (”Ladybug”)

It’s quite random how Bugette has her own consciousness when Ladybug gives her Amoked object back. The show has done many random things (Space Dumpsters, Car Hologram Gabriel, Mayor Lamp), but it seems very intentional that Bugette had her own consciousness. All of these objects were mentioned in passing, and that was it. Bugette was talked about after the episode, and it emotionally affected both Chat and Ladybug. She was spoken about more than just a moment.

This is the first and only time we’ve seen something like this happen at the moment (hiatus between S3 and S4), and the additional information the Peacock Holder can intentionally alter the physical design of the Sentimonster. Usually, Sentimonster are affiliated with another character or their reason for Akumatisation.

In “Miraculer”, August creates a lollipop Sentimonster because of his craving for lollipops. Even in “Reflekdoll”, Juleka creates a Doll Sentimonster because of her affiliations with fashion and standing out. Feast itself even had the symbol of the Order of the Guardians on its face. Hawkmoth has his Butterfly Sentimonster with him.

On top of all this information, Adrien was the one who was most anguished about Bugette’s death. Ladybug was upset as well, but Chat was in (or at least) showing more pain than her.

We have no concrete exposition on Adrien’s childhood.

This is very similar to a very specific Steven Universe reveal about Steven’s mother. There was a character she deeply trusted who wasn’t allowed to reveal the information, and therefore we had no exact backstory to the character until after the information was revealed.

Adrien is in a very similar position, where we have no backstory on him. There are no baby pictures of him, he doesn’t talk about being a kid, and the class didn’t even know him until he came to school. Kim (out of all people) even confirms this in “Félix” where he says,

“Truth is, we’ve only known him since he came back after the summer.”

This is the biggest evidence of it being Genie wish, where they wanted a child, but it was a teenager and they couldn’t alter it because their form would be permanent.

There are only a few canon things we have a grasp on Adrien’s past: Chloé, a drawing from “The Collector”, and Adrien’s childhood in “Wishmaker”.

Chloe has always been the only friend from Adrien’s past. She never says anything explicitly and concrete about their relationship in the past, or even talking about their exact age of when Adrien and her first became friends. She only says things like, “Oh, Adrikins! You’ve always been like that.” It’s never something huge about, “Oh, Adrien! Remember when you ________ when we were ______ years old?” No. It’s always relating to Adrien’s actions instead of his past.

In “The Collector”, when Gabriel is destroying random objects in his office to trick LB and CN into thinking he was angry and got Akumatised by ‘Hawkmoth’, he looks inside a cupboard and takes a framed picture of Adrien’s stick figure drawing with him holding his mother and his father’s hands. This shows he made a drawing, but there’s no real explanation for what age he was. He could have made that when he was figuring out how to be a human, or even when he was recently young. It doesn’t give us exact age or even any kind of concrete information on him and his past. But this can be tied together that it is original Adrien’s drawing (the one that died then came back to life) and then Gabriel keeps it as a memory of them.

This is further confirmed in “Wishmaker”, where Adrien says he doesn’t remember his childhood dreams. And when he does get hit by Wishmaker’s power, his dream as a child was “to be what [his] parents wants [him] to be.” The direct line of action referencing his birth, and being controlled by his parents, who were his creators.

To have an Sentimonster or an Akumatised person, an object must be Akumatised or Amoked. So what would the Amoked object be?

Let’s revisit “Félix” for a hot second: Félix and Amilie’s main aim in the episode are to retrieve the Graham de Vanily rings. Gabriel is very adamant to give them back to Amilie, even refusing her fully. Félix ends up stealing one of the rings from his hand, which Gabriel is noticeably furious at him for doing so.

The episode puts an obviously huge focus on the importance of the rings, but explains nothing but hopes for their return in upcoming episodes. These rings are important to Gabriel, possibly his connection to Emilie, but it could also be one (or both) of the rings are the Amoked object for Sentimonster Adrien.

There’s no other explaination for why else they are important, with the other theory of the rings being Miraculous. It makes sense, but doubtful since Master Fu had all but two of the Miraculous, and Gabriel didn’t go to Tibet to retrieve the other Miraculous from Tibet.

One scene followed up on this was the ending sequence in “Mega Leech”, where Gabriel and Adrien start to have a heated discussion before Gabriel sends Adrien to his room. As Adrien walks up the stairs, Gabriel twists his ring on his finger. Again, we have no idea what this could mean, and we have no idea what the rings actually are.

The big question is “was it both the rings, or just one?” The answer can be yes or no. In 412 “Crocoduel,” where one object can be akumatised, but if broken in half as it is akumatised, it must be repaired back before it can be freed of the butterfly.

And that’s all the information we have as of now. It could be that these plants are meant for something adjacent to this, but the evidence currently is overwhelming.

TL:DR - Adrien is a Sentimonster because he’s perfect. Emilie wanted a kid. Fu messed up. Gabriel is crazy. Chloé don’t care about no exposition beside hers. Nathalie is a sick, dying woman and murdered Adrien’s cousin. Félix and/or Gabriel hold Adrien’s lifeline.

ML - An Helping Hand

It wasn't unusual for Gabriel to work at new designs at late night – as most artists are well known for having their best ideas when they're supposed to be sleeping. That night was one of those, with the fashion designer working on his tablet in his usual spot, and Nooroo floating silently around the room.

The kwami flew to one of the room's windows, sitting down on the windowsill.

He had thought about Duusu's words over and over. The other kwami had been pestering him for quite a while now, trying to convince him they should try to bring their holders together.

“But they are meant to be!" Duusu had insisted.

“Maybe, but we are meant not to interfere with the personal lives of our wielders, remember?" He had countered. “What would the Guardian think of us, if we broke the promise?"

But maybe his sibling was right about all that plan of hers. Maybe it could all get better if those two could see just how much they meant to each other...

After all, what harm could a little, tiny push do?

Nooroo flew back to Mr. Agreste. "It is such a lovely night! Don't you think so, Master?" The kwami spoke, shyly. He only obtained an absentminded 'mh' from the man as a reply. "You've been working for a long time, now. I would advise you to take a break to rest your eyes."

Gabriel's gaze met Nooroo's, and held it silently for a few seconds. “Maybe you're right, Nooroo" the man eventually said, removing his glasses to rub his eyes.

Gabriel walked up to the window, opened it and stepped outside on the balcony. Nooroo flew next to him, watching as his holder leaned against the fence, staring down at the garden.

It was time to enter in action.

“Paris is so peaceful, tonight!" Nooroo commented, sighing in contentment. "I can sense many positive emotions!"

Mr. Agreste didn't reply. It meant that there were going to be no new akumas, for the time being.

“They also come from the people close to this home." Nooroo went on. "I can feel how Adrien is happy thinking about his new friends... His bodyguard is glad that everything is going fine..."

The kwami closed his eyes for a moment, taking in the positive waves. Then: "I can feel Miss Nathalie is happy as well, tonight."

Gabriel finally turned his head to look at his kwami. "She's asleep," Nooroo said softly, with an hint of a smile on his face. “She's dreaming to be with the man she loves."

Mr. Agreste once again said nothing, but Nooroo didn't miss a slight frown form on the man's face and, mostly, the slightest hint of annoyance and jealously he'd felt after the kwami's mention of that unnamed man.

The seed had been planted and, although Gabriel claimed himself to be left completely unaffected by it, in a few occasions he'd found himself thinking about Nooroo's words.

Was Nathalie really in love with someone? How long had this been going on?

And mostly, how did he not notice?

He wondered how many other things he was unaware of.

Quite a few, he found out in the next few days as he slowly started to focus more on the people surrounding him, with or without the Miraculous.

He paid more attention to the looks in Adrien’s eyes when his son did or said something in particular, and found out that – like Nooroo had said – he was indeed happier when he spoke about his friends or left the house to meet them.

Then, the looks on his interns’ faces and the fret in their movements revealed him that they were afraid of him even when he wasn’t mad at all.

For some reasons, he found himself paying close attention to Nathalie whenever the two of them were out in public, trying to determine who the object of her affection could be, but she never showed any different behaviours around any of their acquaintances, be it photographers, models or the occasional workers of the fashion company.

Yet, her feelings were always there, ringing through his magical brooch whenever she and Gabriel went.

There was that newly-labeled love, radiating with a fluctuating intensity from her but, now that he noticed it, almost ever-present.

But there was also a peculiar sadness coming from his assistant, and he couldn’t say that that was something new. Just like him, Nathalie had been feeling sad ever since Emilie’s death.

But now it was different; it was as if her pain had grown stronger, deeper in a way. That wasn’t just the pain from the loss of a friend. It was intermingled with something else.

He felt the need to talk with her.

Gabriel stepped out of the mansion and walked up to the garden, where he knew his assistant was likely to be during her breaks. In fact, there she was, sitting on one of the benches with her head low.

She was still emitting that sadness that he felt earlier.

“Nathalie” Gabriel called for her. Nathalie's head immediately shot up, her gaze moving around until it found his.

“Sir?” the woman greeted him surprised. “What... are you doing here?"

“It seems like I can't find any inspiration, today. So I figured I could take a break as well." He replied. “May I?" He then gestured toward the bench.

Nathalie looked down at the empty space next to her, then back towards her boss. “Of course!"

Gabriel sat down, and the two of them remained silent for a while.

“Hey, uhm..." He eventually spoke. "I know I'm not supposed to pry into your personal matters, and I understand if you don't want to talk about this sort of things with me, but..." The man brought a hand up to his neck, fixing the tie that hid his Miraculous. "I've been paying more attention to how people around me feel, and I realized that I never noticed how lately you've been feeling down."

Nathalie turned to look at him, surprised at his unexpected interest in her problems. "I wanted to know how are you, and if there's something wrong." Gabriel ended.

"It's kind of you to worry, but It's nothing serious, really." Nathalie played it off casually.

Gabriel nodded. “Well, whatever it is, at least you can count on that love you've been feeling to relieve your mind from your worries!"

Nathalie's eyes widened slightly, the only sign betraying her sudden alarm at his words in her otherwise inexpressive face. However, the temporary fear that he'd found out about her true feelings vanished in the moment Gabriel added a “Who's the lucky man, if I may ask?"

Nathalie pondered her answer for a few moments. "He's an amazing person, really" she then replied, staring into his eyes. "A sweet soul, even if he can behave like a real a-hole, at times." Nathalie smiled, fondness washing over her words.

“It sounds...great." Gabriel replied.

Again with that fleeting sensation of annoyance in his stomach! What was happening?

Nathalie turned away, looking down to the ground. "Yeah, well... It would surely be, if only he would reciprocate me..."

“Oh...” Gabriel's shoulders dropped. "Is love the reason why you've been feeling so unhappy lately, then?" He watched as Nathalie pressed her lips together, nodding silently. "I'm sorry." He simply replied, and he meant it.

“That's how life goes, sometimes..." Nathalie shrugged.

A few seconds of uncomfortable silence passed, before Gabriel spoke again. “Tell me who he is; I can make him the target of my next akuma", he offered.

Nathalie turned back to face him, remaining silent. "I don't..." she started, and then took another pause.

‘I don't think you would really like to kick your own butt’ was the reply she would have really wanted to give him. Instead, she opted for a "That's not the solution to the problem but, once again, thank you very much for the thought...sir." Her lips curved in an unsure half-smile.

“Gabriel,” Mr. Agreste corrected her We’re not in working mode now And anyone who makes the people I care about suffer deserves a punishment!"

Nathalie’s smile now seemed a little softer and more true. But still, she didn’t reply.

Gabriel leaned back on his arms. "I know what unrequited love feels like. Well, not actually love, but... before Emilie came around, I had a crush on a girl in my class, back in my high school freshman. I tried to court her for a while, but she never liked me back." Gabriel remained pensive for a while, thinking back to those times.

Then, he turned to Nathalie, who had been intently listening to his words. What I’m trying to say is... Even if he won't ever reciprocate you there's still plenty of time You're still young you're an amazing person, and you're good looking." He placed his hand on hers, smiling reassuringly. "You'll find the right person, eventually. Just like I found Emilie.”

Something faded noticeably in Nathalie's eyes, that had been glistening and hopeful up until that moment. “Let's hope so,” she replied swiftly, before pulling her hand away and glancing elsewhere.

Hidden behind the bushes of the mansion's garden, Nooroo and Duusu had been watching the entire scene.

“Well, that was a complete disaster, wasn't it?" Nooroo commented, cringing as he felt new waves of disappointment and sadness radiating from Nathalie, stronger than they were before her conversation with Gabriel. "That's what I get for listening to you!"

“I wouldn't call it a disaster", Duusu defended. "He said she is good looking!" The peacock kwami added gleeful, her eyes sparkling.

“Before telling her how he still loves Mrs. Agreste!" Nooroo reminded her. The butterfly kwami started to leave, but Duusu flew in front of him. He actually felt jealous on a few instances, these past days!” She said. "We're on the right path! Let me try a plan, next!"

Nooroo stood still, then sighed. “Fine. But I'll be around to keep an eye on you."

Duusu squealed excited, grabbing Nooroo's arms and making him fly in circles with her. “You'll see, Noo-noo. We'll get them together, eventually." The kwami exclaimed cheerfully. “And when we'll make it, everything will be amazing!"

Well hello everyone,

since I'm a long ways from home, I thought I'd lay down some super captain obvious hot takes on our fav disaster couple of ML for your enjoyment.

So remember when Nathalie hugged Gabriel? Of course you do. It still remains one of the most shocking moments in this "children's" show.

But I still wonder why and how Nathalie felt so brazen, so comfortable, so...accustomed you might say, to that action.

And why Gabriel in turn accepted it so readily.

It was far too cozy for the first time-- or fifteenth time. In fact it seemed like a now lost count of exchanges in affection, by the time we got to the scene in question.

But where did it begin?

It's fun to theorize all kinds of outlandish ideas of the absurdly ooc variety, but I think the real answer is the simplest. And quite frankly, I'm excited to think we'll actually get to see it on screen.

I think Gabriel initiated it.

And I think it was spawned from one moment: Emilie's demise.

A moment of pure, condensed, rarefied defeat that Gabriel never comprehended he would experience. As soon as he realized that Emilie wasn't going to wake up on her own; that he would have to put her in a preservation tank, publicly announce her disappearance, and then finally explain and contrarily hide the truth from Adrien... was the moment something broke in Gabriel's brain.

He was alone. Isolated in guilt, mourning and madness; Gabriel was experiencing his own demise.

And in his blind, flailing reach for some trace element of stability, Nathalie was there. His weakest moment exposed to her. She didn't take advantage of him, or coldly stand as a silent witness. She reached back, probably unaware of the tremendous level of comfort she instilled in him, right in the midst of his nightmare.

And I think that had a lasting impact on Gabriel.

Perhaps it was in these moments, or the immediate following that made him realize he could trust her with his identity as Hawkmoth. The last broken remnants of his soul was shakily presented to her as it fell through his hands, and she promised to protect it.

I think this emotionally volatile interaction created a sudden and dramatic divergence in Gabriel and Nathalie's relationship. But I need to emphasize that they're both embroiled in a mental fugue that even their highly rational and strong minds aren't equip to deal with. This intimate moment of blissful solace, though physical, wasn't in any way meant to betray Emilie.

It just...happened to cover a lot of ground lol

Gabriel simply needed a hug. Reminiscent of child-like behavior, he was craving reassurance more than anything.

And what else could Nathalie do but reciprocate? The dire nature of the situation requiring her to wrap her arms around him; to protect him from himself.

That was it.

And it was enough. It was all Gabriel needed--neither of them knowing what would eventually become of this initial touch.

Now for the second time it happens.

I think the second time Gabriel sank into woeful depths that Nathalie happened to witness, was the most awkward in regards to her role in responding to him.

Now there’s uncertain tension complicating the matter. Does Nathalie dare try to comfort him again? Was it just that one time? What if this becomes chronic?

While Nathalie battles with indecision, Gabriel continues feeling overwhelmed, but no where near the full weight of the initial incident of losing Emilie. Gabriel had long tried to shuffle off the memory of that especially dark time, because it was a unique kind of weakness completely foreign to him.

Nathalie couldn't stop thinking about it, because it was a moment of unique strength, enough to satisfy a man of Gabriel's status and character.

She would wake up at night thinking about it. He needed her, and she was capable of fulfilling that need. A prospect more exhilarating than she thought she was capable of feeling.

So carefully, guardedly, she draws near him. And when he doesn't shun her or turn away, she initiates contact.

And the rest is history.

The third time was much easier to sidle up to Gabriel and tighten her arms around him. And Gabriel didn't really give it much more thought than being glad that she was there-- but he wouldn't dare think beyond that.

After that, Gabriel wouldn't even have to be THAT sad for him to get a gesture of affection from Nathalie.

And uuhhhhh ya know...

He's kinda gets used to it. Kinda likes it maybe.

So it just continued to become...a thing. An occasional thing. But wholly expected, and something so obviously more. Something growing and completely unspeakable at this point, but undoubtedly felt by both.

Then by the time we get to Gabriel making the major (albeit brief) decision to terminate his goal of reviving Emilie, Nathalie easily fell right into her routine of closing her arms around him, and Gabriel accepts it as usual.

And I think that was the process for the build up of their 'invisible' relationship.

In that episode, Nathalie's actions initially threw off a lot of viewers. Even the voice actors were made to wonder what kind of tangled affair they might be shadily involved in. And Nathalie instantly shot up as one of the most interesting characters in the show that people had to know more about.

Imho, it appears we've been thrown, not in the middle of, but at the very beginnings of a blossoming relationship between Gabriel and Nathalie.

I think that's why upcoming S4 is uncomfortably bittersweet to me. I know what their onscreen presence has to compete with, and it's aggravating.

And I’ll admit, putting off watching till the finale will be hard, because I anticipate all kinds of character development from the two most progressing characters in the show. A progression happening because of each other.

Okay I think I've said enough. Holy shit that ended up longer than I intended.

I don't understand why everyone was thinking Chloe was Ladybug in Lady Wifi when Ladybug just saved her in PUBLIC in front of dozens of cameras

Ladybug isn't always vulnerable, but when she is, she lets herself be. That's such a defining character trait for Marinette, she doesn't always know how to ask for help, but when she gets it, she accepts it.

Chat's expression is so beautiful, because he knows how capable she is even after seeing her as a hero ONE TIME, and he doesn't understand how she doesn't see what he saw in her.

I think Gabriel only consented to Adrien attending school is because he's Hawkmoth and having him around would mean even more risk.

And he's such a DICK about it?! He makes a point to threaten Adrien about his position, only to give his consent like it's some sort of favor and Adrien owes him?? "You're NEVER going back to that school..... without your bodyguard and Natalie around?" He's gaslighting him, all the while letting Adrien know of his place and Gabriel's extent of control over him!

Adrien's little plea "Father, no!" is so heartbreaking. He's just a kid!!

Natalie's offhanded look worries me....is this is the time she found out Gabriel was trying to get Emilie back?

"It means that I'm not putting up with your crud anymore Chloe, so go on, take your attitude and get lost!"

Adrien took Nino's advice of just telling Marinette the truth. Nino created Adrienette.
