i love marinette and plagg’s relationship. the way they barely spend time together but everytime they are together they’re the most chaotic and powerful duo. the fact that plagg goes out of his way changing and influencing things in adrien’s life just because he knows it’ll embarrass or play with marinette, plagg treats that girl like his little sister. and it’s so fucking cute. the annoying whining plagg does when marinette is angry or confused, like in reflekdoll. marinette’s life is probably so entertaining to plagg and marinette knows that too and she Hates it. idk basically i want more plagg and marinette content, hands up for the devilish dickheads: marinette and plagg. chaotic ass bitches

HESPERIA/BETTERFLY kamikotized heroes Headcanons PART 1
There will be a bunch of these, but I will most likely only do 2 heroes per post.
Let’s face it; no matter what universe, Gabriel and Adrien are cut from the same cloth, therefore you should be prepared for puns.
The following heroes are NOT in chronological order of appearance in the timeline, but I will do my best to give you a rough idea of when they show up.
Some Heroes will have more detail than others.
Mr. Banana becomes…. *drumroll please*
Banana Punch!
(Or in french, Pain Banane… Ok, hear me out, in French ‘pain aux bananes’ is banana bread, however, the word ‘pain’ is ALSO slang for ‘punch’.)
Mr. Banana himself is a ridiculous mascot character, with ‘banana’ being a pun in itself for having a big smile, and his catchphrase of “stay peachy” a translation of the french pun of positivity, so naturally it only makes sense that his kamikotized hero form is that of a smiling loaf of banana bread wearing a martial arts head-band, and boxing gloves to punch evil-doers trying to rob some old woman when there are no enforcers nearby.
Gabriel isn’t proud of it. But his power of Transmission gifts abilities that are best suited to the person’s emotions in that situation.
This Hero was a one-off that showed up before Shadybug and ClawNoir were introduced, and since only the old lady and her would-be robbers were witnesses, the act of heroism was swept under the rug for a long time because when Enforcers DID finally show up they just assumed the old lady was having a senior moment, and the two burly men had enough pride left NOT to confess they were bruised up by a loaf of banana bread, and instead claimed they were assaulted by some 6’9”, 230lb steroid fueled vigilante.
It took Alya FOREVER to connect the dots on this one, finally tracking down the old woman who was nearly robbed- because of course she would want to try to investigate vigilantes and see if they are tied to any conspiracies concerning a revolt against enforcers or an uprising against The Supreme….but even THIS was too far-fetched for her.
A little more digging led to the weirdest interview she has ever had. (There’s just something unsettling about those empty, soulless, banana eyes… *shiver*) But if you have a better explanation for how a scrawny dude in a banana costume can take on two brutes twice his size and walk away unbruised that DOESN’T involve magic, Alya would LOVE to hear it.
(Think about it, in S4, Shadowmoth had to search specifically for negative emotions that revolved around taking risks, this means he can not just assign any random power he wants to anyone having a bad day- the power has to match their mood and desire to change the situation that put them in that mood. That is one of the limitations of the power of the Butterfly Brooch.)
Funfact: “Akuma” roughly translates to ‘demon shadow’, therefore “kamiko” would most likely be ‘blessed child’, since “kami” is god/divine/blessed and the affix “ko” is ‘child’.
Betterfly probably sees his butterflies as little children, carrying the light of hope on their wings to those who are deserving of the burden of power for the greater good.
Théo Barbot becomes….
Monumenteur!
(A combination of monument and conservateur aka preservationist)
Remember, in this Universe, Paris is “The City of Progress”.
And Progress does NOT involve wasting money to maintain antiquated buildings and monuments from a bygone era.
Such prime real estate would be better used for useful things; factories, banks, shopping malls, corporate buildings, apartment buildings, etc.
But that doesn’t mean one can just go about demolishing historic architecture after selling to the highest bidder. (Not unless you want a riot).  No, no, there must be compromise!
Nothing lasts forever, everything must go when it’s time has come; this is nature’s law.
Economics and finances must support modern infrastructure to maintain the progress of society, not dwell in the past.
As such, there are no groups that specialize in preserving and maintaining historical buildings and monuments.  Old things are left as is until they have worn out their usefulness. Without specialized upkeep as well as preventative measures, these structures naturally decay and fall apart over time.   Once a building/monument has reached a point where it is considered structurally unsound (it could fall down and crush someone) it is then legally condemned for demolition, afterwards the location will be put up for sale and something new will be built in it’s place.
This means that in the last few decades, many of the beautiful architecture that Paris is famous for has been lost, but there are still some left.
For an artist, like Theo, it is painful to simply watch as these gorgeous pieces of history decompose to rubble in indifference.  He dreams of a beautiful Paris that celebrates it’s rich culture and shares it’s history for many generations to come!
But what can he, a teenager, do? No one will invest money to preserve buildings past their prime. Everyone wants something new and more industrial. They are looking towards the future while turning their backs on the past.
If only he had the ability to maintain these monuments himself! Then more people could appreciate the beauty of historic architecture and perhaps the aesthetic of a better restored monument would be pleasing enough to convince others that some history is worth preserving!
     Hesperia/Betterfly agrees.
Many of the monuments in Paris were created pre-WW1, with thoughts like hope, love, dreamers, and the enduring spirit in mind. These are not just great works of art- they are symbols of man’s determination to make the world a better place!
As Monumenteur, Theo becomes a 7 foot tall living bronze statue dressed in French Revolution attire. Equipped with all his sculpting tools and possessing superhuman strength, dexterity, and stamina, Monumenteur is able bound across the rooftops of Paris at night to visit each Historic building/monument, and work his artistry to repair damage and carefully restore architecture, like magic.
Suddenly, monuments that were literally 24 hours away from being declared “condemned” look brand new???  People are talking!  Opinions are divided; obviously the older generations who were born pre- WW2 feel nostalgic, and of course other generations can appreciate NOT living in a city interspersed with decaying ruins… but the biggest concern is, of course, “That better not be MY tax-money they are spending on this little art project!”  Appreciating art is one thing, but paying out the nose to appreciate it is another!
Let’s face it, the Arc de Triomphe is lovely, but it ain’t putting dinner on the table, now is it?  (Just like in America, the Grand Canyon is a tourist attraction that generates some money for the state of Arizona, but there are many more things that could be done with that land that would be bigger bread winners if people didn’t care about history or preserving nature.)
There is also the question of “How?” Surely such a big renovation project would make a lot of noise, and take a substantial amount of time… how could such a big undertaking go unnoticed?
The Supreme does NOT like it when people notice things.
The rich don’t like it when their plans for new construction are delayed indefinitely.
Shadybug and Claw Noir take it upon themselves to go on a little moonlight stroll to catch Monumenteur in the act.
Since this “hero” is big, muscled, and made of metal, it is a perfect chance for them to REALLY let loose and vent out some stress.
They are BRUTAL.
Having superpowers is literally the only thing that kept Theo alive.
Not once did Shadybug or Claw Noir stop to consider “hey, this is an actual person we are dealing with.”  They only cared about beating the snot out of him, trying to taunt the Butterfly man out of hiding by threatening to destroy the kamikotized object and turning Monumenteur into scrap metal in the process.
The fight also leads to some visible damage to the buildings/monuments that Monumenteur has been painstakingly working to restore.
Gabriel is not some coward who would let two gang up against one while he sits on the sidelines, and of course comes to Monumenteur’s rescue just as his object is discovered and he is rendered helpless to a swift pummeling before being tossed off the side of the Palais Garnier.
          They narrowly manage to escape.
Theo is badly hurt, broken bones, hematomas, a concussion, and the damage to his hands ensures he will never sculpt again.
Gabriel’s guilt is immense and he is stuck with a deep wave of self-loathing; How DARE he put a CHILD in such danger?! It is un-acceptable!  This young boy has been robbed of his future for the sake of a battle, the stakes of which, he can not truly fathom.
This can not, WILL NOT happen again!
Wars should be handled by adults, and children should be allowed to cherish their innocence!
From then on, Betterfly vows to never burden powers to a minor again (unless it’s something like, a little kid is trapped in a burning building and giving them 5 minutes of super-powers is the only thing that will get them out alive because Fire Suppressors will not make it in time).
Later on, Alya will have to metaphorically move mountains to convince Betterfly to take her on as an ally and entrust her with powers to help him fight for the greater good. (Much like how in S3, “Feast”, Master Fu was convinced it was better to take back the cat and ladybug miraculous, rather than risk Marinette and Adrien falling victim to the Sentimonster. His fear of being the cause for their destruction as well prevented him from giving them a chance to prove they could overcome anything).
As for Theo, being crippled makes it impossible to have so many part-time jobs, but Gabriel plans to do right by that boy and offers him a part-time job as a gopher-assistant at the Gabriel brand. (It’s mostly just busy-work, but it has the name ‘Gabriel’ attached to it so it carries a small weight of respect that will look great on Theo’s resume. One day, after years of recovery and physical therapy, Theo will obviously want to pursue something more concrete, and this experience will be a rather cushy stepping stone on his career path.)
Theo has no clue as to why THE Gabriel Agreste would offer him, a kid who hasn’t even enrolled in University yet, a job… All Mr. Agreste said was something about recognizing hidden potential when Theo entered his Derby Hat contest.
As for the property damage; No, Shadybug did not cast her miraculous “cure”.  This was strategic.
The damage is VERY noticeable, but in a way that please The Supreme.
Soon the news are talking about how all the previous restoration was nothing more than a publicity stunt by radical youths, and the so called “repairs” were nothing more than cheap, hastily thrown together facades…. A cosmetic bandaid that was all flair but no substance, thus explaining how it was done so quickly and why it fell apart just as fast.
There is even speculation that it was a financial ploy; a delay tactic to halt the sale of the land the condemned buildings are on by rival companies who weren’t pleased knowing they would be outbid.
The public soon grows bored and the secret of magic is preserved yet again.
However, this fight causes the dark, painful black veins to spread to Marinette’s hands, and as a result, she starts wearing fishnet gloves. (They are more practical weather wise and less suspicious than full gloves, and the lace makes the veins blend in seamlessly.)
Adrien has been getting by with make-up and a “Don’t touch me” attitude, that makes sense for a surly teen but breaks his father’s heart.

Woken Up Beauty au
AU where everything is the same but Emilie wakes up when the Peacock Miraculous is fixed. She is flabbergasted. Wtf is happening why is she in a Snow white style coffin. Anyways yeah she is still very much sick but not in a coma and not inches away from death so she does what any normal human being would do and is actually completely calm about it. She notices the butterflies and feels dread in her gut. O shit oh fuck no no Gabe can't be really using the Butterfly right? Right???
She gets out of the coffin bc its conveniently not locked in the inside and has to drag herself around bc she is very weak. She dials Nathalie's number as soon as she is able to. Emilie finds out what has been happening, learns of Gabriel's plans. Someone is gonna be so fucked when she manages to stand up.

Chloe’s Arc vs Felix’s Arc
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chloe and Felix share many similarities as characters and yet their stories have completely different outcomes and I want to try and analyze why. I think both of them share similar stories with different outcomes to show how different actions taken by similar people can have drastically different results
On a surface level it may seem like Felix and Chloe aren’t similar, and yes they do have many differences between them that make them different people entirely, but they both have many of the same types of background and suffered similar kinds of abuse and developed negative mindsets about the world because of it
They are both rich children both to influential families that shaped their lives. Each of them had an abusive parent but in different ways: Chloe’s mother abandoned her and her father indulged her bad behavior to avoid being abused himself. Felix’s father abused Felix mentally and emotionally and even Physically since he would use Felix’s miraculous to control what he what physically couldn’t and couldn’t do. We don’t know about how his mother raised him, but I saw an interesting post on Twitter analyzing a moment from the play Felix and Kagami did (it’s linked somewhere on Twitter but I’m having trouble finding it so I can’t give credit where it’s due). The bunny that Felix holds at one point is supposed to represent Felix’s mother (there’s a screenshot somewhere of Amelie wearing a rabbit mask) and the moment where the arm is torn represents that his father abused her as well. This may have caused her to be indulgent of her son to try and make him happy, especially after her husband died, since they were both finally free of his abuse and cruelty
They both have incredible power and financial means as well as a warped view of the world due to their upbringing. Chloe sees everyone as beneath her cause that’s how she feels better about herself and how her mother acted and encouraged Chloe to act when she was actually around. Felix suffered abuse from someone who had power over him, developing a cold and closed off personality, putting others down as well, unwilling to allow himself to open himself up to be used and abused again, causing him to look down on others cause he was trying to protect himself (and his mother).
They also both tried to Sabotage Adrien’s relationship’s at some point too. Chloe tried so she could have Adrien, her “prince,” all to herself and could torture Marinette; Felix did this for unknown reasons but I hypothesize it was a combination of trying to get HawkMoth’s attention by making Adrien’s friends angry enough to be akumatized and out of jealousy that Adrien seemed to have loving friends. Or maybe in his head he also thought he was protecting Adrien from people who were just out to use him rather than actually cared about him, since he never really had any friends of his own and couldn’t believe they were genuine (but that’s my own headcannon, there’s no proof of it).
Adrien also both gave them second chances. In Chloe’s case, it started in Season 2 in Despair Bear. Then later in Derision after he learned the Hell she put Marinette through the years before in school (we’ll come back to that one in a bit). In Felix’s debut episode, Adrien did confront him on what he did, and forgave Felix when he apologized, but only after he made it clear that what Felix did was NOT OK and would not forgive him if he did it again.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here’s where their story lines start to divulge: what they do after Adrien calls each of them out. They both take different routes. Chloe still bullied Marinette’s and the others and tries to keep Adrien to herself (which really only actively starts up again after the Season 3 finale). In the season 4 episode Gabriel Agreste, she plans to reveal to Gabriel the classes attempts to help Adrien escape his home (and by extension reveal Marinette’s feelings) so he’ll take Adrien of school and make sure only she can visit him. In that very same episode Felix comes back.
Now, on the surface, it seems like Felix hasn’t changed. He’s cold and closed off, gives Gabriel a fake ring back, makes fun of Chloe and avoids interacting with everyone else, including Kagami. But here’s the thing no one notices: he’s not actively trying to sabotage Adrien’s relationships this episode. When he and Kagami are alone in the room, he doesn’t say anything to try and manipulate her, not try to make Adrien look bad. Granted, he probably had more important things on his mind, investigating Gabriel, but it’s still a small improvement. Then there’s the BIG moment in the episode where Gabriel tries to trick Felix and akumatize him: Felix flat out REJECTS it.
Tumblr media
This is significant for two reasons: at this point in the timeline, this is only the third time we’ve seen a character actually reject an akumatization based on will alone. The first, funnily enough, was Chloe back in season 3, Miraculer. She refused to be Akumatized and manipulated to try and be better per Ladybug’s advice. The second person to do it was Alya in Gang of Secrets earlier in season 4. Felix (at this point) is only the third character to do this. That’s huge
The second reason is he outright refused to be akumatized at all, rejecting any power offer. In his debut episode, it seemed like he wanted to work with HawkMoth, but here he’s not. Outright refused powers from someone who can literally give them. (Side note, Gabriel is also threatening Felix’s life here by threatening to make him disappear, since he had the peacock miraculous repaired now, and I have a theory as to why it broke in the first place). In the previous episode Queen Banana, Chloe even had a conversation with HawkMoth and readily accepted; showing she was no longer just being manipulated when the butterfly came into contact with her. She could have rejected it (and later did in Penalteam), but still accepted the power. Felix didn’t at all. So we start to think, maybe Felix isn’t that bad? Maybe he’s better than Chloe right?
Then he went and betrayed Ladybug and gave Gabriel all the miraculous in exchange for the Peacock. He didn’t care about the people he hurt or betrayed or doomed in pursuit of his own goals, getting his hand on the Peacock miraculous. Chloe, in similar fashion, wanted the Bee Miraculous back, and allied with HawkMoth when he offered it to her in the season 3 finale. And even in his small scene in season 5 episode 2, when he shows up and his mom is shown to have lies to Ladybug and Cat Noir to protect (or enable) her son, our suspicions about his motives and allegiances are confirmed true.
So far, his story is like Chloe’s: a rich, spoiled kid with an abusive parent (father) and the other parent as an enabler, looking down on everyone not at his level, acting cruel for the sake of it,, working with Hawkmoth to get their hands on a miraculous, and not regretting any of his bad choices and acting in his own self interest without caring about how it impacts others around him.
Let’s head back to Chloe for a second since we’ve focused on Felix and there’s a gap between his appearances in season 5. In the episode Derision, Adrien finally learns the true extent of the torture she put a Marinette through. He may not have heard about the smaller stuff from Kim, like leaving bugs in her locker and paint on her seats, but he learned of the horrendous “prank” she and Kim pulled on Marinette and immediately was furious. I mean, he tried to Cataclysm Kim’s face a few minutes later (I don’t blame him).
Adrien finally learned the true extent of Chloe’s cruelty and evil. So he decides to give her one last chance. He tells her to apologize cause he believes she can change. And she’s shown she’s capable of it. But this time, instead of trying to plead his forgiveness, she just laughs in his face now. She refuses to try being good anymore and outright tells Adrien, her “Prince”, the boy she always called her friend and seemed to care for one some real level, wrong and tries to convince him that she is better. She’s completely given up on any semblance of trying to good, or even just acting like she’s doing it to lease Adrien anymore. She’s done. She’s revealed her true colors to him. And Adrien is done with her. She’s not even sad about it anymore, just angry and annoyed that he betrayed her.
Tumblr media
We see here that even though it seemed like she did care about Adrien enough to try and change or be better, she no longer does. Maybe she never did. She still sees him as some sort of prop or tool or prize that she deserves. Now let’s head back to Felix and the episode Emotion and how it displays both Felix’s growth and Chloe’s regression
***note, I have a full post on Felix and his actions in the episode Emption as well if you want to read it
Emotion happens and we see the true differences between the characters, and we learn more about Felix here too. Until now it seems like Felix has his own sinister reasons for allying with HawkMoth and is nothing but a male version of Chloe. But we see the differences here now. He tries to talk to Kagami (posing as Adrien) and doesn’t try to ruin their relationship, in fact apologizing when Kagami tells him that since they’re no longer dating the hand kiss was too far (learning about consent is good young man, but you still have to apologize to Ldybug!). He even tries to bond with her. Meanwhile Chloe had unwittingly “befriended” Marinette at the party and insists on showing her around, bragging about servants and robots and money and the like. Then the King and Queen are supposed to dance.
When Marinette reveals herself to them, you can see the differences in their characters in the ways they react. Marinette gives “Adrien” a heartfelt speech, saying she loves him, how she understands why he didn’t tell her about the dance and isn’t mad or betrayed, how she understands his father is forcing hot to do this and doesn’t blame him, and that she trusts him and loves him no matter what. Chloe is obsessed with the fact the baker girl broke into the dance, wanting her kicked out immediately. Felix by contrast is shocked, and then smiles and dances with her. He’s still acting as Adrien so it could be a cover, but I think he was genuinely loved by her words. Until now he’s never interacted with someone who honest, even if it would get them in trouble or hurt them. When Marinette starts getting self conscious and saying they think she’s a monster, he gets angry and says that they are the monsters.
Tumblr media
Then Chloe gets so mad that she outright attacks Marinette and Felix then reveals himself. He starts snapping everyone away, but doesn’t do so with Marinette. He takes her away and hides her rather than just snapping her away for later. He doesn’t want to hurt someone who genuinely cares for his cousin. Then after he snaps the rest of the world away except for himself and Kagami (and be believed Marinette) he brings Adrien back and is overjoyed! He is happy cause he thinks he freed them and wants to have them all live together and be free and happy, (like he never was with his father)
Now we see there’s more to him that a cruel Chloe copy: he wants to help those he cares but is INCREDIBLY misguided, he thinks the only way he can think to help is to take the extreme and completely cut off anyone else who they don’t know or could possibly hurt them in the future, that there’s no one else good in the world except for Adrien and his mother (then later Kagami and Marinette). And we also see him regret his actions when he hurt the people he cared about. When he couldn’t bring back Marinette, he panicked and brought back everyone cause he didn’t want to hurt Adrien.
This is another Major difference between Chloe and Felix. Felix’s actions are also undoubtedly selfish and cruel (snapping away the entire world? Damn), but beneath that there’s a twisted and warped sense of protection and care behind it. He did it to save his loved ones. He was incredibly wrong in his approach and actions, but he seemed to genuinely want to help. And when Adrien called him out on it and how he was out of control and actually hurting people and him with his powers, Felix immediately stopped. He could have ignored it and snapped him and Kagami away, living alone in his free world, but he didn’t. By contrast, in the episode Revolution, Chloe gets similar powers to send people away, and when Adrien calls her on it she just sends him away too, without a second thought. Lila didn’t even need to say anything to convince Chloe to do it, that’s how little she cares about Adrien.
And their differences don’t stop at Emotion and how they use similar powers. They continue for the rest of their individual appearances in Season 5.
After the Diamond Dance and Felix snaps away Red Moon, he could have stopped there. After this failure and hearing his mother agree with his sentiments about how cruel everyone else in the world is (his mother being someone he loves and looks up, who is now validating his original beliefs), he could have just stopped right there. Instead, after that, he took an interest in Kagami, and also still tried to look out for/after Adrien. Remember, in the Season 3 finale, ladybug also tried to reach out to Chloe again after she made that mistake, and Chloe outright refused to apologize and turned against Ladybug fully. Felix ended up listening to Ladybug in the end, when she told him winning isn’t always what you want, or something like that. He did end up taking her advice.
Then when he saw Kagami being abused emotionally and verbally by her mother (one step forward, one step back; STALKING IS NOT OK YOUNG MAN), he noted how horrible it was and immediately acted to stop it. He kidnapped her and took her away (bad reaction, make that two steps back), but here he’s genuinely trying to do good. He’s actively trying to change. Kagami even calls him out on his stalking and kidnapping, and he apologizes and explains he didn’t know what else to do cause he knows what it’s like to be abused. Chloe would’ve just laughed at Kagami’s plight: Adrien’s “perfect” friend and ex girlfriend isn’t so perfect and her mother thinks she’s ridiculous too? She would find that utterly amazing and laughable.
Throughout the rest of the episode, Felix’s only plan is to protect Kagami, and even Ladybug and Chat Noir realize this when Kagami tells them so. He doesn’t try to fight them anymore and leaves.
Then through Lila’s manipulations and schemes, Chloe becomes mayor of Paris, and again ally’s with Monarch to gain powers for herself. She’s back to her old tricks, and this time is completely unrestrained by her former attachments to Adrien. One last time, she could have turned him down, but in the end she didn’t. This final choice is the metaphorical nail in Chloe’s coffin.
**I have another link where I try to analyze Chloe’s fall from grace and the reason her story ended the way it did
Tumblr media
That’s a fundamental difference between these two characters which such similar backgrounds: it’s how they react to what they did and react to their mistakes and other people calling them out on their actions
Chloe never truly cared that she hurt Adrien despite him being “precious” to her, she never truly accepted responsibility except for that one time with Maledictator, and in the end didn’t see how her mother treated her as wrong. And when being good wasn’t as easy or rewarding as she wanted it to be, she stopped trying.
She found that being cruel and mean was easier for her and more immediately rewarding, so she took the easy way. It’s not that difficult to expect, especially the way she was raised: with a snobby, absentee mother, a weak willed father, and all the power of the city at her beck and call. It takes a lot of strength, will, and determination to try and break that cycle, especially as a kid. We see she’s capable but it’s hard for her to stay the course of good. All we can hope for is one day she’ll see the error of her ways AND get the help she desperately needs to get her out of abusive home and able to learn healthier and kinder ways to live
Tumblr media
By contrast, Felix did realize the error of his ways and actively began to try changing, even though it was really hard. No one trusted him, especially not ladybug or Kagami or Adrien, but he still wanted to try. And he did. When confronted by Ladybug and Car Noir again, he didn’t try to fight them, only intending to protect Kagami. When Kagami told him off and what he was doing wrong he apologized and explained himself and what he was trying to do. He also worked to give her freedom again. Being good is not easy for him either, especially with how often he was hurt and abused when he was young, but he’s trying to be better here, and sees that even though it’s hard work, he’s willing to do it. Hopefully he stays on this path.

#MLBS4SPOILERS
everyone talks about Wishmaker because of the Identity reveal and all. and I get it.
However, I feel sad because no one discusses the actual Chat Noir reveal...
Tumblr media
When Adrien is touched by Wishmaker, he litteraly says something along the lines of "When I was little, I wanted to be whatever would make my parents happy."
I feel like this is a key element to his personality that gives it a serious turn we hadn't explicitly explored before.
I know Luka was shaken by the reveal, but I wish he would find some way to adress it to Adrien..

Hey fellow Chat Noir lovers
Is there any good, angst ridden, non shippy, non Adrien bashing fics of villain Chat Noir that joins his father because of how Ladybug treated him in season 4? I just want a good villain Chat without him being salted alot especially after season 4.
Bonus if Felix is in it

“Because you're the most extraordinary girl, Marinette. As clear as a musical note and as sincere as a melody. You're the music that's been playing inside my head since the first day we met.”

I can’t be more proud of this boy for resisting being akumatized and saving her identity later on in the show🩵
I’m so hyped for the new and final episode of S5 airing Saturday!!🩵 who else is ready!? (Comment, reblogs, feedbacks are most welcome✨)

HESPERIA/BETTERFLY kamikotized heroes Headcanons PART 2
Since there is no Stone Heart in this reverse universe, I’m sure someone is wondering what triggered The Supreme to give the two most powerful miraculous to a couple of emo Parisian teenagers.
So let’s do this…. *cracks knuckles and instantly regrets it*
Maybe it’s the etymology nerd in me, but I feel the amount of word play and pun usage in the show is either under-appreciated or lost in translation, so you will have to endure my ramblings behind “Hero” names.
But don’t worry, I will still include the action bits… the situation that called for a Hero, powers, appearance, and any interactions with Shady and Claw since I know THAT’s what you’re here for~
Fire Captain Hessenpy becomes….
Neo-Libérateur!
(Since this character’s name was intentionally ironic/a joke, I felt it important to put extra thought into their name… btw, if you’re lost, Hessen is a very white german for a person who lives in a forest. So naming the Fire Captain Hessenpy is like, the American equivalent of Smokey the Bear.)
Now, in the normal or ‘prime’ universe, in France, fire-fighters are called “sapeurs-pompiers”.
But in our ‘reverse’ universe where The Supreme rules all, after WW2 fire-fighters were re-branded as “Fire-suppressors”, or “suppresseurs- pompiers”.   Sounds much less aggressive, more formal, doesn’t use words like “fighting” which has connotations of violence.
WHY IS THIS DETAIL IMPORTANT??
      ….I’m getting to that, geesh!
You don’t need to be a linguistic expert to figure out that “Libérateur” is the opposite of “Suppresseur”, since they are close enough to English.  But I bet you are lost on the “Neo” bit, eh?   Here is some fun word-play for you;
In French, “pompiers” is an informal way to refer to firemen. HOWEVER, in French “pompier” is also an academic term, a rather negative one, in regards to imitating the conservative painting style of neoclassical artists.
Wow, are you bored? Why should you care?  BECAUSE I’M MAKING A PUN ON HIS PROFESSION AND HIS SUPERHERO APPEARANCE!
This is actually the first Hero that Betterfly/Hesperia kamikotizes.
The Butterfly Brooch grants the wearer an almost telepathic type of Empathy, as we saw in S4, “Ephemeral”, even when not transformed, Gabriel was alerted to the presence of strong emotions nearby, like an emotional smoke-detector.
The wearer of the Brooch can be alerted to intense emotions without intentionally searching for them even when they are not transformed.
This is the case when Gabriel was simply working on fashion design sketches in his atelier (office) when he was suddenly bombarded with an intense wave of terror. Not just the fear of one person, but of many!
Pulling up a live news broadcast on his tablet he quickly identifies the source; a bus that has lost control has caused many drivers to swerve wildly out of the way to avoid collision. But even more concerning is that the bus full of passengers is heading towards the Seine.
Gabriel can hear the screams of each passenger echoing in his own mind, and his pulse races.
Nooru can sense his holder’s thoughts and warns him not to be reckless, but Gabriel can’t possibly do nothing and with his words of transformation, light wings rise and Gabriel Agreste becomes Betterfly.
Just as he transforms, the news footage on the tablet shows that the Bus has crashed into the stone railing of the Pont au Change bridge, and now the Bus is dangling precariously over the Seine… one wrong move and it will tumble over into the river!
He can feel the fear of onlookers, paralyzed into inaction, fully aware of how helpless they are….
The passengers are on the brink of hysterics, perhaps they too are aware of how long it will take rescue crews to arrive at the scene, time they do not have.
Among the sea of chaos and hopelessness, Gabriel can FEEL it- a spark of determination, a desire to do something, courage to take action but not knowing what action to take.
Perhaps the fluttering wings of a moth can fan this spark into a roaring flame.
Off duty Fire Captain Hessenpy’s eyes are locked on the Buss teetering on the edge, so he does not notice the glittering white butterfly that perches onto and melds with his helmet.
But he hears the voice; confident yet somehow soothing. The voice identifies as a friend who wishes to lend him the strength to save those in need. It asks if he will accept this gift for the greater good?
A woman screams as gravity leans the front half of the bus ever closer to a watery grave.
Hessenpy does not hesitate.
He can feel it- unknown strength rippling through his veins in a surge of heat.
He charges valiantly towards the Bus, deaf to the sounds of his uniform tearing at the seams from his suddenly engorged muscles.
Now shirtless, and the remains of what were once trousers just barely concealing his dignity, Neo-Libérateur grasps the sides of the bus like Hercules grabbing the horns of the Cretan Bull, his blue eyes glowing with ferocity, grunting with great effort that for a moment, onlookers could swear some of the brown color from his hair drained from the exertion, making his locks briefly appear blond.
The sharp contours of his body posed in such a way that would put even Atlas himself to shame as Neo-Libérateur hefted the buss further away from the edge until both back wheels were once more touching the ground.
It is only then that sirens fill the air.
Rescue crews have finally arrived at the scene,  winches and tow cables are secured to the bus and it is hauled back away from damaged bridge.
Neo-Libérateur collapses to the ground with exhaustion as soon as the bus doors are forcibly opened for rescue crew members to retrieve the trapped passengers.
The kamiko relinquishes it’s alliance with  Neo-Libérateur, and Captain Hessenpy is left feeling exposed, for more reasons than one, as he is surrounded by both admirers and people with questions.
Letting the wings of transformation fall, Gabriel Agreste releases his own sigh of relief.
But Nooru can not relax. Using the power of the Miraculous so openly is sure to attract The Supreme’s attention!
Gabriel knows, but he had no choice…. He can sense the relief of a mother, a passenger on the bus, holding her infant to her chest in overwhelming gratitude. The baby, oblivious to the danger he had faced, feels only comfort and safety in his mother’s embrace.
This is why Gabriel had to act.
There is STILL good in this world, there are still people who are moved to do what is right without the promise of reward or benefit to themselves. There is still hope of creating a better tomorrow for their children.
Still hope for the kind of future Emelie wanted for Adrien.
Gabriel is not so naive as to believe this task will be easy, but he knows that if he does nothing, if he does not use these powers to at least make an attempt to help those in need, then he is no better than The Supreme.
The News Media is quick to focus the story on WHY the bus lost control, and what precautions will be made to prevent similar occurrences from repeating in the future, as well as discussion of re-modeling the antique
Pont au Change to a more modern design with reinforced safety railings. Time of construction and cost of materials being of the utmost concern.
Captain Hessenpy’s involvement is mentioned only briefly, and swept under the rug with the dull and plausible explanation of a rush of adrenaline allowing for such strength under extreme duress, not unlike that which allows mothers to overturn cars to free trapped children in a panicked state.
No one questions it… Save for an overly suspicious teenage girl.
Only The Supreme knows the truth.
Now he knows that whoever stole the peacock and butterfly miraculous is hiding in Paris.
Based on what has transpired, it seems the thief wishes to play the role of “Hero”.
What better way to lure out a “Hero” than with a “Villain” or two?
The Butterfly’s powers can be tricky to combat against given the long range as well as the diversity of powers that can manifest.
The Ladybug has the best adaptability as well as damage control, while the Black Cat has the best chance of cutting off a Kamikotized Champion’s source of power, even the kamiko itself.
The two of them are too powerful to be handed to just anyone. The Supreme knows that even amongst those who have proven their worth and loyalty to be entrusted with the rare privilege of using a miraculous, the temptation for betrayal is great.
Rather, it would be better to find someone ignorant of the weight of such power.
Please see my first post, “Supreme Identity theory” for further elaboration.
(Hint, hint, you can also see The Supreme’s selection process in my post “Shadybug/Claw Noir Reverse Umbrella scene Headcanon.”  which takes places just little over a week of the Neo-Libérateur incident.)
Idk if I can link to previous posts or not. I’m tech dumb.
Feel free to google Neoclassic art styles if you are still lost on the pun.
Not so much funny as it is dramatic… but this is Gabriel Agreste. You can’t have fashion without drama.
