I'm here to complain about the fact that NO ONE TOLD ME THAT I NEEDED TO READ THE REMNANT CHRONICLES BEFORE READING DANCE OF THIEVES BECAUSE AAGH LITERALLY TWO PAGES INTO THE BOOK I ALREADY FEEL LIKE I KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS WORLD, BECAUSE I FUCKING DO. BECAUSE I JUST FUCKING FINISHED THE REMNANT CHRONICLES AND NOW EVERYTHING MAKES FUCKING SENSE.
WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME, YOU WOULD'VE SAVED ME THE CONFUSION AT THE BEGINNING OF DANCE OF THIEVES
So here is my official warning to anyone planning to read Dance of Thieves. READ THE REMNANT CHRONICLES FIRST, YOU WILL THANK ME LATER
Thanks for coming to my ted talk

i fucking love all of the scenes in the heart of betrayal and the beauty of darkness where lia wants to get out of the ya genre so badly. like she really just wants to fuck rafe and drop some descriptions whenever she’s not worried about dying lol

Lia: if I had a nickel for every time I ran away in my wedding dress I’d have two nickels which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice

Hi there! This is a cringy introduction post
I’m Jim, a dyslexic english major who loves to read 📚
I adore fantasy, sci-fi, Y/A, queer and neurodiverse rep, but also will literally read almost anything!
Some of the great loves of my life so far include: The Shadowhunter Chronicles, Percy Jackson, Inkheart, Folk of the Air, The Raven Cycle, Graceling Realm, The Remnant Chronicles, Shades of Magic, and The Lunar Chronicles.
I am perpetually emotionally invested in fictional worlds and fictional characters, and am an avid consumer of fanfiction as well as published literature
I’m just getting back into having a public account after taking a hiatus from being perceived, and am building a following again!
Come be a dork with me about my favourite things!

Resenha: The Kiss of Deception, de Mary E. Pearson
Tumblr media
Livro: The Kiss Of Deception Série: #1 - Crônicas de Amor & Ódio Autora: Mary E. Pearson Gênero: Fantasia Ano de Publicação: 2016 Editora: Darkside Páginas: 384 Classificação: +14
NOTA: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 - 4/5

WALTER: The Crown Prince of Morrighan. The eldest brother and sibling. He is adorable and protective. Gives the best advice but at the same time sooooo unserious. So in love with his wife, Greta.
REAGAN: The second eldest prince. Lia's grumpy older brother. Militaristic I suppose. Lia stated in canon that her brothers were low ranking soldiers in the Morrighese military. I think as the 2nd son, Regan definitely can choose to pursue whatever he wants but not as much as Bryn.
BRYN: The 3rd and youngest prince. A freakin' insane person low-key. A genius. He is a mischievous dimple faced little brown/hazel eyed prankster.
Walter and Lia are the closest to each other, cause oldest and youngest siblings, duh. Then Reagan and Bryn are the closest together because they're the middle children.

✩☄️📜 Review:
There is no better way to return to the Remnant Universe than reading Pearson’s expanded prequel!
After learning bits and pieces about Morrighan and Jafir in Pearson’s other works, I enjoyed getting the opportunity to finally read from their perspectives! Pearson allows the reader to view what life was like for both characters after the Devastation. Their gradual development from enemies existing in rival camps to lovers braving hardships together gripped me like no other novel and brought tears to my eyes.
In addition to Morrighan and Jafir’s story, the prequel includes gorgeous interior illustrations by Kate Ohara. Ohara does a fantastic job capturing Morrighan and Jafir’s budding romance on the page. The illustrations in conjunction with Pearson’s text immerses readers in the world of the Remnant and creates a storybook feel that mirrors the tales Morrighan told to her tribe.
“Morrighan” will forever be one of my favorite works by Pearson. Readers often skip prequels because they view them as unnecessary, but “Morrighan” truly is a must read for fans of The Remnant Chronicles and the Dance of Thieves duology!
