Day 278: Thursday October 5, 2023 - "Mornings with William"

Now that we've made the adjustment from weekends to weekday Daddy duty, I have a special responsibility of getting this guy up and to school. After whatever the chaos of September was, William is back to a really good sleep routine again, regularly sleeping in now until about 630-7am. Oh what a difference those 60-90 minutes more of sleep in the morning make, at least on the psyche. But he still wakes up rearing to go, and has lots of opinions on how he wants to start his morning with the first 90 minutes of the day. I've been starting my work day at 7am too, so there is the occassional work call that he has to take care of himself for but I know the tricks for what will keep him entertained for at least 15-20 miniutes. I make the coffee, I make his lunch, I make his breakfast. We're building routines for the morning to go as smoothly as the night and I am figuring out those best steps, settling into this knowing this is going to be long term now. I enjoy it all best I can, and find gratitude when hes let me stay in bed until I am ready. He takes care of potty all by himself, no accidents and does everything he needs to do so that at 8:20am when I am throwing his clothes on and brushing his hair, he is on board. I try to start his day off well - positive, easy, helpful, nurturing. Set him up for success and a good day. The real champ in all of this effort, is him. He lets this thing work with mama being gone, and working with me and trusting me. I love him for it. Being the morning parent- the school parent, is the next role I am growing into and I know that how this feels and works will set a tone for so many years, just like bedtime. It will be a routine he remembers. Important, oh so important to get it right. And its something I am working on each and every morning on our own.

Or the way the mouse on my dresser top stopped there with its body, its ears, its nose, it was fixed, a bit of life caught within itself and its eyes looked at me and they were beautiful. Then...it was gone. I began to feel good, I began to feel good in the worst situations and there were plenty of those... I welcomed shots of peace, tattered shards of happiness... And finally I discovered real feelings of others, unheralded, like lately, like this morning, as I was leaving for the track, I saw my wife in bed, just the shape of her head there...so still, I ached for her life, just being there under the covers. Hihi! This is your secret santa speaking! I see that you have a love for the Leds! While I know their more popular songs (with Misty Mountain Hop being one of my favourites) I would love if you could recommend me some more underrated Zep songs!

hello my darling, we finally meet! 🥰 yes my blog is dedicated to vintage stuff in general, mostly (but not limited to) 60s-70s rock and my beloved favourite band, led zeppelin!

i'll give you 10 recommendations, feel free to listen to them all or choose the ones that inspire you the most:

1. the rain song (1973) - one of my favourite songs ever. the lyrics, the gently strummed guitar and the orchestra section merge together to form a little fairytale world for all of its 7 minutes. an absolute delight to the years, and very very dreamy.

2. since i've been loving you (1970) - a fan favourite, and possibly their best blues number. an aggressive and striking guitar accompanies plant's high pitched, sorrowful vocals. the band played this song regularly on tour and not two versions are the same. absolutely brilliant.

3. ten years gone (1975) - a melancholic D-tuned guitar and some beautiful lyrics by plant make a powerful yet heart-wrenching ballad. this one makes me cry every time lol.

4. in the light (1975) - hope you like progressive rock, santa, because this underrated gem has some elements of that sub genre while still being labelled hard rock. listen to this to cheer you up when you're feeling down.

5. achilles last stand (1975) - a longer one, but worth every single second. this 10 minute epic will satisfy your most adventurous desires and still leave you hanging for more. john paul jones and john bonham mimic the sound of a galloping horse in a surreal war setting.

60- So if you've not seen Your Name, apologies for the spoiler but its on the cover - there's a comet, and it falls, and it falls so slowly. This song is eight minutes long and as best i can remember we watch the comet for four or five of them, this beautifully animated sparkling thing, falling and falling, torturously slow, as we wait to see what it will do when it lands. this song is the heroic swell as it starts to fall, and then the build, further and further and further, as it falls and falls and falls

80 - I'd not really heard about TMBG until somebody on twitter recommended this song with a specific recommendation - the sense that the right person was so, so far away. "they don't need me here and i know you're there". It manages to be this very straightforward love song about this entirely hypothetical person, the idea that we might never even walk in each other's presence. (i think at the time i was really into this song, my current partner was still living in china which makes it quite special to that relationship (she was dating someone else so not unknowingly pining for me, i would expect, but in fairness i'm not sure ms Ng is ever implied to be))

There are three other songs about Annas just in this spotify wrapped, one of which (Anna by Hello Saferide) has a good claim to being my all-time favourite ever. I'm honestly considering it for a baby name.

5e Sona, the Maven of the Strings build (League of Legends)

Revealing my Champion Mastery just to say that I play a lot of Sona. Don’t flame me for playing Seraphine and Yuumi I swear to god, and I have no idea why Teemo is in my top 10 highest mastery champs ngl.

Anyways you have no idea how happy I am as a Sona main that my girl is now top tier. I came to League of Legends from Overwatch (yes really) and I used to main Lucio in OW along with some of the more “techy” characters like Symmetra and Torbjorn. (Came to OW from TF2 where I mained Engineer and Medic.) Sona was a natural fit for me as a champion who was both easy to play and very similar to Lucio. It also helps that I joined the Rift during the single most engaging meta to ever grace this game. I was kinda too shit to play Janna but the Ardent Censer meta is also why I have such a high mastery on Lulu tbh.

But enough about my history with League: Sona! Honestly when I think of an archetypical support Sona pops into my head a lot sooner than Soraka: a champion based on empowering their teammates in as many ways as possible with heals, shields, movement speed, and CC to hold the enemy team down. I’ve always loved playing her because she feels like much more of a macro oriented character than other supports, with team-wide support as opposed to keeping one person alive like Soraka or Yuumi or focusing on CC like Morgana and Nami.

I’m going to build most if not all the champions eventually but man I am happy to tackle Sona now. She’s always been on my mind as my main but it was pretty difficult to think of how to make her. I think this build is good enough though!

Wow that was much longer of an intro than I’m used to. You can really tell which champions I’m excited for lol.

GOALS

Everything in harmony - Sona boosts everyone on her team with her songs as they fill the air.

Triple time! - Sona’s ability to boost her whole team into a good position is always beneficial.

Crescendo! - Fun fact: Sona’s ultimate is canonically extremely painful as she forces you to contort your limbs against your will. Why is Sona needlessly macabre? Well remember that Riot also wrote Volibear as an Eldritch old god.

RACE

Sona is Human but if you want to be cool you can make her a Kalashtar for resistance to Psychic damage and advantage on Wisdom saves. Regardless we’re going to be making what’s known as a dollar store Kalashtar with Variant Human. Increase your Charisma by 1 as well as your Constitution because we kinda don’t need much else. You also get proficiency in one skill of your choice which will of course be Performance, and a language which you can pick as you fancy: you won’t be speaking it anyways lmfao.

That’s because “Only you can hear me summoner; what masterpiece shall we play today?” Grab the Telepathic feat to complete this dollar store Kalashtar package. Increase your Charisma score by 1 and get a 60 foot telepathy to speak while being mute. You also learn the Detect Thoughts spell and can cast it once without using a spell slot. "Did he want... four autographs? I don't understand."

ABILITY SCORES

15; CHARISMA - Charisma is tied to performance and all the other stuff a Demacian noblewoman is expected to be good at.

14; DEXTERITY - Something something medium armor; even if you wear a dress there’s no reason you can’t have some padding beneath it!

13; STRENGTH - Hey this isn’t something something medium armor!

12; CONSTITUTION - Sona may be squishy in League but I value not dying more than good skill checks honestly.

10; WISDOM - Speaking of not dying: Wisdom saves are more common, and Insight is more useful than most Intelligence skills.

8; INTELLIGENCE - We had to dump something so unfortunately Intelligence gets the short end of the stick. You may have studied under the illustrious Buvelle family but most of those lessons were music classes.

If you want a better stat array going 13 / 14 / 12 / 10 / 10 / 14 with Point Buy is perfectly viable, and if your DM is cool enough to let you multiclass without Strength then you’re more than welcome to dump it.

BACKGROUND

There’s two obvious backgrounds that fit Sona: the first is Entertainer for proficiency with Acrobatics and a skill of your choice (since we already took Performance lol.) You also get proficiency with Disguise Kits and your Etwahl! (That’s what Sona’s instrument is called btw.) Your background feature By Popular Demand allows you to play any stage once. "Some, just the once.” You can perform in exchange for a place to stay, and when you do so the local people will remember your wonderful performance!

But making an Entertainer Bard is kinda cliché, no? If you want to lean into Sona’s Demacian heritage go for the Noble background. This gives you proficiency with Persuasion and History as well as a gaming set of your choice: unfortunately Tellstones isn’t an option (unless your DM decides otherwise!) so a Dragonchess Set will do well enough. Oh and you get another language that you won’t speak: fun! Your Position of Privilege makes it easy for you to arrange meetings with other important people, and the commonfolk will be kind and cordial with you.

I personally opted to go for Noble when making this build, but if you want to choose Entertainer go right ahead! Backgrounds don’t affect too much overall and it’s up to you (and your DM) to make your own Sona!

THE BUILD

LEVEL 1 - BARD 1

I mean what else did you expect? Bards get proficiency in three musical instruments of their choice: a Lyre is the closest you’ll get to Sona’s Etwahl, though a Dulcimer is also pretty close. I’d also recommend grabbing a Lute since most magical instruments come in Lute variety.

You also get proficiency in 3 skills of your choice like Perception to watch wards, Insight to watch people, and Athletics for a bit of Tenacity to break out of grapples. (As well as potentially grab some people yourself! Although Acrobatics is also perfectly fine for escaping grapples.)

As a Bard you can boost your ADC with Bardic Inspiration, letting them add a d6 to attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws. You have a number of these equal to your Charisma modifier and they come back after a Long Rest.

But of course the main reason to play a Bard is to do Demacian-banned Spellcasting! You learn two cantrips from the Bard list like Vicious Mockery for some diminuendo, making it harder for the enemy to hurt your allies while also cutting them down to size. (I don’t know if your DM will let you slap your Etwahl angrily and then point at them judgingly, but you may have to break your vow of silence every now and then.) You can also learn Prestidigitation for all sorts of general magic stuff that you really shouldn’t do in front of anyone important.

You of course also learn 4 Bard spells like Cure Wounds and Healing Word for the atypical healing spells, Dissonant Whispers for some Hymn of Valor damage, and Detect Magic which you’ll likely be expected to cast as the designated support. *Sigh* Always gotta buy wards.

LEVEL 2 - BARD 2

Second level Bards could be called a Jack of All Trades, as you get to add half your proficiency bonus to any skill you aren’t proficient in. This means even if your ability scores are bad the skills you don’t have proficiency in are still good enough! You also get Song of Rest, letting your allies recover an extra d6 of health during Short Rests. And if you have Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything  Magical Inspiration will let your allies add their Bardic Inspiration to the damage or healing of a spell they cast!

And finally you can learn another spell: against as the designated support you’re expected to take Identify.

LEVEL 3 - BARD 3

Third level Bards get Expertise in two skills: Performance is an obvious must and Persuasion would probably be good as well.

But more importantly you get to choose your Bardic College and if you want to both shield your allies and speed them up look no further than the College of Glamour! That’s because Mantle of Inspiration grants 5 temporary hitpoints to a number of creatures within 60 feet of you equal to your Charisma modifier (which can include yourself by the way!) Additionally those creatures can move up to their movement speed as a reaction without provoking opportunity attacks, making this a great tool to reposition an ally who’s caught in a dangerous position!

You’re also capable of creating an Enthralling Performance: if you perform for at least 1 minute, you can attempt to inspire wonder in your audience. At the end of the performance you can choose a number of humanoids within 60 feet of you who watched and listened to all of it, up to a maximum equal to your Charisma modifier. Each target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be charmed by you.

While charmed in this way, the target idolizes you, and speaks glowingly of you to anyone who talks to them. They also hinder anyone who opposes you, although they avoid violence unless it was already inclined to fight for you. This effect ends on a target after 1 hour unless they take any damage, you attack it, or it witnesses you attacking or damaging any of its allies. If a target succeeds on its saving throw the target has no hint that you tried to charm it, and you can use this ability once per Short or Long Rest.

Finally you can learn second level spells like Hold Person, for a one-man version of your ultimate.

LEVEL 4 - BARD 4

Ah the first of many Ability Score Improvements. You may have noticed our deliberately uneven Charisma modifier: that’s because I’m going to be taking the Fey Touched feat for +1 to your Charisma, the Misty Step spell (for Flash, of course), and the Gift of Alacrity spell from Explorer’s Guide to Wildemount for a Song of Celerity! Accelerated movement? I concur.

You can also learn another spell as well as another cantrip! For your cantrip take Mage Hand for help warding those hard-to-reach areas, and for your spell take Lesser Restoration, because yeah it’s also your job to buy Mikael’s. *Sigh.*

LEVEL 5 - BARD 5

5th level Bards get a Font of Inspiration that lets their Bardic Inspiration come back after a Short Rest as well as a Long Rest. That’s good because your Bardic Inspiration increases to a d8, which also boosts your Mantle of Inspiration to grant 8 temporary hitpoints!

You can also learn another spell like Hypnotic Pattern: while it won’t do any damage and your allies can’t hit the dancing enemies it’ll still be the best recreation of your ultimate for now.

LEVEL 6 - PALADIN 1

I hope you weren’t expecting this to be a pure Bard build, because then I’d just be building Seraphine again! Grab your something something Medium Armor as well as a shield (well technically you need both hands free to play a musical instrument) it’s Paladin time, master of auras! 

Paladins get a Lay on Hands pool equal to 5 times their Paladin level for some more healing. You can touch a creature to give them any amount of health from your Lay on Hands, or use 5 hitpoints from your Lay on Hands pool to neutralize a poison or disease affecting them. You also get Divine Sense to locate any Celestial, Fiend, or Undead as long as they’re within 60 feet of you and not behind total cover. Don’t worry it gets a lot more exciting later.

LEVEL 7 - PALADIN 2

Second level Paladins can choose their Fighting Style and you’re still more of a mage than a warrior, so Blessed Warrior will give you two cantrips from the Cleric list that use your Charisma! Guidance is an obvious must for a support and Toll the Dead is a great option if you want to go full AP.

Should you have options for attacks to target enemies who have high Wisdom? Yeah probably: Sacred Flame might be a good choice.

Of course cantrips also imply more Spellcasting! You can prepare a number of spells equal to your Charisma modifier plus half your Paladin level (rounded down) which is currently a freaking lot of spells. Let’s just go down the list, shall we?

Bless is great to buff your team and make them harder, better, faster, and stronger.

Command is a mostly harmless Enchantment spell that will force your foes to do as you, well, command. I’d argue “dance” is a reasonable Command.

Protection from Evil and Good is never bad to have in your back pocket in case you’re fighting either Kayle or Fiddlesticks.

And Shield of Faith will let you boost your ADC’s survivability with Ardent Censer!

I know you can prepare more spells but there isn’t much I want from first level of Paladin. I am contractually obligated to mention that you can also turn your spell slots into a Divine Smite if you hit an enemy with a melee weapon, but you aren’t really going to be using weapons in this build. That’s right boys hop aboard the caster Paladin train!

LEVEL 8 - PALADIN 3

Third level Paladins get to choose their Sacred Oath and Oath of the Watchers may seem weird but it’s really good at defending your allies. That’s because you get two different Channel Divinity options: Abjure the Extraplanar works similarly to the Cleric’s Turn Undead feature except it affects Aberrations, Celestials, Elementals, Fey, and Fiends.

Watcher’s Will meanwhile lets you choose a number of creatures you can see within 30 feet of you, up to your Charisma modifier. For 1 minute, you and the chosen creatures have advantage on Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws. This means that in a party of 6 this ability can give your whole party advantage on all mental saves, which is huge for keeping everyone alive against nasty casters! See? Demacia can use your magic!

Speaking of magic you get Alarm and Detect Magic as Oath spells. (Might want to swap Detect Magic from your Bard list with Mass Healing Word ty Tasha’s.) You can also use Harness Divine Power to regain a spell slot equal to half your proficiency bonus a number of times per Long Rest. And you get Divine Health, because you don’t take a sick day to stop complaining about Seraphine.

LEVEL 9 - PALADIN 4

4th level Paladins get another Ability Score Improvement: cap off that Charisma for maximum AP scaling!

LEVEL 10 - PALADIN 5

5th level Paladins can finally prepare second level spells! As a Watchers Paladin you get access to Moonbeam as well as See Invisibility, both of which are very good for dealing with incoming gankers.

You can also prepare spells like Aid to boost your allies’ HP, Prayer of Healing (ty Tasha’s) for some out-of-combat healing, and Warding Bond for a Knight’s Vow.

Oh and you get an Extra Attack, which sure would matter if you were actually using weapons.

LEVEL 11 - PALADIN 6

6th level reasons get the main reason Sona’s a Paladin: Aura of Protection! All your saving throws are increased by an amount equal to your Charisma modifier, which is a full +5 currently! But what’s special about this ability is that it also applies to your allies within 10 feet of you, letting you give out auras a plenty to keep your allies safe!

You can also prepare another spell but again: not much I really want. So we’re going to be waiting a little while longer once again.

LEVEL 12 - PALADIN 7

7th level Watchers Paladins get Aura of the Sentinel, or as I like to call it: Song of Celerity. When you or any creature of your choice within 10 feet of you roll for initiative, they gain a bonus to initiative equal to your proficiency bonus. While this may make positioning a little difficult (everyone’s going to have to huddle around you) this ability guarantees that you can speed up all your important allies to make sure they get their powerful abilities off!

LEVEL 13 - PALADIN 8

8th level Paladins get another Ability Score Improvement or a Feat. You may have noticed your uneven Constitution score: grab good ol’ Resilient Constitution for a boost to your health and even more insurance on your Concentration checks. With your Paladin aura and proficiency you’d have a +12 total to your Constitution checks currently, meaning that if you take 24 damage or less you won’t even have to roll for Concentration!

LEVEL 14 - PALADIN 9

You are probably the only Paladin who cares about spells, so it’s nice that you get 3rd level spells now! Watchers Paladins get two very strong third level spells: Nondetection will help you deward and keep your allies safe from enemies that may try to sneak a peak at you, but Counterspell is the true best choice to stop danger from befalling your allies. What’s very good about Counterspell is that as a Bard you get to add Jack of All Trades to the skill check, meaning it’s far easier for you to deny an incomming spell than any other spellcaster! “Mages have enough problems without you.”

Of course you can prepare some more spells like Aura of Vitality for Aria of Perseverance, and Revivify for an ADC’s Guardian Angel. But having access to spells like Remove Curse, Dispel Magic, Crusader’s Mantle, and even Daylight on the Paladin spell list are all extremely useful to be able to prepare. Remember that you are doing yourself a disservice by not taking time to think about what the best spells to prepare would be for your current quest. "Every note is important."

LEVEL 15 - BARD 6

Now that we’ve got all our auras it’s time to go back to Bard for Mantle of Majesty! As a bonus action, you cast Command without expending a spell slot as you take on an appearance of unearthly beauty for 1 minute. During that minute you can cast Command as a bonus action on each of your turns without expending a spell slot. Additionally any creature charmed by you automatically fails its saving throw against the command you cast with this feature. You do have to concentrate on this feature (like a spell), and once you use it you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.

You can also learn another spell but there isn’t much I want from the third level of Bard, really. Oh and you get Countercharm which is awful and I hate it, but since you didn’t take a 10th level in Paladin I suppose you have to use it. Spend an action to give allies advantage on their saving throws against charms and fears, I guess.

LEVEL 16 - BARD 7

7th level Bard; 4th level spells. Freedom of Movement will let you help either yourself or an ally with Mikael’s Crucible, and Dimension Door is great to get into lane fast, or back to base fast!

LEVEL 17 - BARD 8

8th level Bards get another Ability Score Improvement, and if you don’t like the look of something something Medium Armor then the Eldritch Adept feat might be able to help. Take the Mask of Many Faces invocation to be able to cast Disguise Self at will to change your skins as you please.

Could you have taken this earlier? Absolutely. Are there better invocations? Yeah probably, but by level 17 you can make some of your own choices. Build your own Sona: this is merely a guide and you can make your own choices.

Speaking of own choices: take whichever spell you want at this level. There’s plenty of great ones for a 4th level Bard and I can’t recommend anything in particular to you. Every musician has their own style, and it’s up to you to find your own!

LEVEL 18 - BARD 9

9th level Bards get to pretend that increasing Song of Rest from a d6 to a d8 by total level 18 is helpful.

You do get access to 5th level spells like Mass Cure Wounds, which is like Mass Healing Word but better! "Harmoniously."

LEVEL 19 - BARD 10

10th level Bards get Expertise in two more skills: Perception is an obvious must to watch over your wards but beyond that? Honestly pick your poison with whatever skill you want since by level 19 you can make your own choices. (Though my personal choice would be Athletics to hopefully give some more safety against grapples.)

But of course the main boon of reaching level 10 in Bard is the Magical Secrets! ...I’m afraid I’m going to have to disappoint you again: there honestly aren’t any spells in particular I want as Magical Secrets. Sure I could recommend spells like Haste or whatever but are they really going to be that great by total level 20? To be honest even the spells on the Bard list like Animate Objects, Greater Restoration, Hold Monster, Rary's Telepathic Bond, Scrying, and Synaptic Static are very good (although I’d sooner replace some of your old spells with them.)

Again I know this is supposed to be a “guide” but most people won’t hit level 19 anyways, so I don’t think it’s that bad for me to recommend you take your own steps to make your own Sona. Hell, build some AP if you want! I know I would!

LEVEL 20 - BARD 11

Our final level is the 11th level of Bard and I’ll be honest: it’s just to add Otto's Irresistible Dance to your spell list. It can only affect one person but it’s still your ultimate by total level 20.

Oh and you were supposed to get a cantrip last level. Uhhhhh I dunno take Mending lol.

FINAL BUILD

PROS

The rhythm connects us all - You have dozens of spells to keep your team alive and active during a fight, not to mention that all your Paladin auras and abilities really help them give 110%. It’s worth mentioning that Gift of Alacrity combined with Aura of the Sentinel is a d8 + 6 to an Initiative roll, which will almost always guarantee that whoever you want to go first will be going first!

A true masterpiece should celebrate living - Despite your somewhat weird level split you maxed out the only stat which matters for you: Charisma. And woah holy shit turns out Paladins are really good with maxed out Charisma! +5 to all saves means even your lowest save is a +4, and the saves your proficient in vary between +13 for Dexterity and Constitution (both very common!) and a whopping +16 save on Charisma!

Curtains up; I'm ready - Jack of All Trades also does quite nicely to help your middling skills. Even though I dumped most of your mental skills you’re still proficient enough that you won’t be completely helpless when caught off guard. And when you’re in the zone with Persuasion or Performance you are easily the best girl around!

CONS

Don't make me get off stage - It was my intention to recreate Sona’s positional gameplay with this build but it does present some gameplay issues when trying to maximize your effectiveness. Where do you position yourself as a character who’s still primarily a squishy caster despite your good saving throws and AC? Can you give everyone in your party support, or are they too spread out to get value out of your 10 foot range auras?

Quiet, please! - You have a damn good concentration check, but what do you concentrate on? Not only do you have a ton of spells but they all scale very good with levels and you have spell slots that go far higher than your maximum level spell. It can be hard to choose what to do with those 7th and 8th level slots.

The world is cruel... Until that changes, I'll never stop playing - One of many “meta” problems with this build was my choice to focus almost entirely on support. Sure Toll the Dead is a great damaging cantrip but your only two damaging spells are Moonbeam and Dissonant Whispers. Again: you don’t have to follow my build point-for-point and while you’ll be flamed in League for building Sona full AP I don’t think your friends will mind if you take some damaging spells.

But if you can’t tell it was really hard for me to come up with those downsides. With the exception of the positional requirements a Bardadin is a very strong build and Sona is a very strong support. Boost your teammates with your own amazing power and make sure everyone’s alive and jamming! Your power may have been forgotten over the years but no one’s ever upset to have a great support at their side. And remember: Seraphine may be in K/DA but you’re in Pentakill, and you have your own label! No one can replace DJ Sona!

Send Her to Me: Teen! Kit Walker x Reader

Description: basically high school kit walker is trying to ask y/n out to the dance but everytime he tries to ask her out he keeps on missing her so he asks for his friends to send her to him

Word count: 1,702

Warnings: cursing, fluff? Nothing else that I can think of :)

A/n: I had a lot of fun making this, I’ve been in my 60s/70s phase as of recent so I’ve been listening to a lot of 60s garage rock and this is inspired by “send her to me” by the dark knights which is amazing you should go check the song out expeditiously. This is taking place in November of 1957 btw :)))) enjoy!!! Sorry if this is messy I finished writing this at 3:48 am  which explains lots of the spelling and punctuation errors it’s whatever

It was November of 1957 and it was Kit Walkers final year of high school

He just wanted the stress of all of the work and uncertain future to be over

But there was one thing he would miss, you

He’s had a huge crush on you ever since you were in 9th grade, but only now worked up the courage to ask you out

You were putting your things away in your locker when you saw kit coming towards you

“Hey y/n”

“Oh- hi kit! what class you got next?”

“History. you?”

“English”

“Oh- uh… cool”

“Yeah.cool?” you chuckled

“Um-“

“Yeah?”

“Would you want to-“ he stops for a while

“Would I want to what?”

“Would you want to-“

he gets cut off by a loud bell

“Sorry! I gotta go i can’t be late again that’ll be three days in a row, catch you after this class though?”

“Oh. yeah sure” Kit says almost whispering and looking down at his shoes after waving at you

He went to history, though his attention was on the clock waiting for the next chance to see you

Finally, the bell rang and he went right to your locker, but…you weren’t there

He didn’t know, but you just didn’t need to go to your locker that class, but he knew he’d be able to talk to you in lunch

He went to his friends and asked them if they would send a message for him. He knew at least two of them had that class with you

“Hey- hold on wait, Jimmy tell y/n to meet me at the 6th lunch table, I keep on missing her at hall time”

“What for?”

“Nothing I just wanted to talk to her, if you don’t have her class next ask Henry I know he has the same class as her right now”

“Alright good luck… on whatever crazy shit your doing”

“Yeah thanks” he chuckled and looked down at his shoes

You were in your class when you saw one of Kits friends walking into your class, which was normal. But, he never talked to you in particular

He approached you and spoke quickly and quietly

“Kit wants you to meet him at the sixth table in the cafeteria in lunchtime”

“Why”

“I don’t know? He didn’t give a reason”

“Alright… thanks”

*45 minutes later*

Finally, it was lunchtime and he spotted you sitting alone in the corner of the cafeteria,where he told you to meet him

He walked over to the table and sat right in front of you

“Hey what’re you doing here all alone again”

you smiled and put a strand of hair behind your ear

“Sorry about forgetting to tell you i wouldn’t be at my locker, i forgot i didn’t need any books for my class after english”

“no don’t worry about it it’s fine”

“So what did you wanna tell me kit?”

“Oh,uh i wanted to actually show you something”

He walked over and dragged his lunch to your side and sat down

He pulled out a photo from his bag

“Here it is”

He slid the photo to your side

“Oh my god Kit! That’s us! God we were so little” you laughed

“But- how’d you find these i thought you lost all your pictures in the move”

“Yeah, but we found a tin inside of the box with my moms clothes and it had all my baby photos and stuff like that”

“You got any more?”

“Yeah, If you wanna come over afterschool and I could look through them with you. I haven’t gotten a chance to see them all yet?”

“Yeah, of course! we’d have to walk though, i can’t go alone”

“yeah that’s no problem,meet me by the front of the school at around 2:00?”

“K, see you then”

He knew this was going to work perfectly, you would be thinking about the past you guys had and then he’d ask you out and you would just have to say yes

2:00 came and you were out in front waiting for about 8 minutes, he was a little late but he came out eventually

“Sorry i kept you waiting so long. That son of a bitch Mr. Wells made me stay after class for not finishing the test in time”

“No don’t worry it’s okay,it’s only 2:08 you didn’t keep me waiting for that long” you said while smiling at him

“Alright,let’s go- wait did you call

your house and tell them you were coming over?”

“ Uh-yeah I told my mom i’d be home a little late and i’d be at your place for school”

“For school?”

“She wouldn’t let me at any guys house if it wasn’t school related,even though she’s known you since you were born”

“Makes sense” he laughs and looks at you

The cold november breeze made you start to shiver and you put your books close to your chest but it was no use

Kit noticed you were getting cold and gave you his jacket, and even though you told him you weren’t cold, he knew you just didn’t want to seem like you needed anything, so he put it on you anyways

you made it to his house and he got his key out

you went in and his parents weren’t home

His dad was at work, and his mom left a note saying she wouldn’t be home until around 8 as she was out running errands

“Well i guess this is my house for the after noon” he said smiling

You laughed and smiled back

You asked if he wanted his jacket back, but he said you could keep it, so you put it on completely

“So,you wanna eat anything?”

“No, thanks though”

“I’ll go get the box then wait here”

You sat on the couch and heard him coming down shortly after you touched down on the seat cushion

“got it!”

you sat on the floor and the both of you looked through the box and uncovered dozens of forgotten memories

“Oh my god that was your 12th birthday”Kit said pointing to a photo from 1952

“Look at this one we were babies here!” you pulled out the photo form the small stack

“Kit is that you?” you pointed to a picture of him in a bathtub as a baby

He grabbed it and slid the photo under the couch

“No uh- thats my cousin. You won’t see him much because he’s- twice removed? Yeah”

“Yeah sure. don’t be embarrassed you were cute”

“Yeah whatever” he rolled his eyes

“It’s so crazy that we’ve known each other literally since we were born” you say still looking at the pictures

“Well technically…i’m older by a month so since you were born” Kit whispers

“You’re only older because you were born premature” you patted him on the back while getting up to go to the couch

He got up to sit next to you and turned on the tv for background noise

He scooted in closer to you and eventually you found that he had his arm wrapped around you and you were falling asleep

“hey it’s only 4:15, wake up” he tapped your shoulder

“Yeah i know- i just went to bed super late last night and i-“

“No it’s fine- do you want me to drive you home i could use the extra one we have”

“no i uh- i like it here it’s quiet, plus i can’t sleep now. I won’t be able to make it to school tomorrow”

“y/n. Its Friday ?”

“Oh.yeah well still”

“Okay nevermind” kit faintly laughed

You got up to get a snack as you hadn’t eaten for quite some time,then went right back to the couch

You sat crossed on the floor, looking right at the pictures on the wall

You observed all of them, specifically just seeing how much he’s changed over the years

He suddenly spoke out of nowhere

“Hey, so you heard about that senior ball the schools havin in a couple weeks”

“Yeah what about It?”

“You uh- planning on going”

“Probably, I just don’t really have anyone to go with”

“If you want, I could take you. I- I mean it doesn’t have to be like as a date or anything we could’ve go as friends if you wa-“

You hugged him and stopped him from saying anything else

“Thank you so much kit,I didn’t wanna have to go alone.And… yes we could go as a date ”

“Really?” He scratched his neck

You nodded and looked at him for a while, contemplating what you were going to do

You kissed him, out of nowhere

Now, you had just had your first kiss, and he had just had his

It was extremely awkward afterwards, you both just stared at each other and didn’t know what to say

“So uh- what’re we gonna wear” you said, still being in front of him as you were after you kissed him

“ Uhhh- i”

“we could match?” You started to get up to leave

“Yeah, we could match “ he spoke breathily

“I- uh, I gotta go my moms probably worried sick about me it’s” 

you look down to check your watch 

“7:15!”

“I could drive you and take the spare car? It’s kinda cold out”

“Oh yeah thanks sure “

The short 7 minute drive was quiet but lovely and you couldn’t help but stare at him for the whole car ride

You arrived home and quickly  walked to the door

You rang the doorbell and your mom opened the door, she looked pretty pissed but nothing over the top

You turned around and Kit was still there in the car, and your mom moved away from the door

You walked back a little closer to the where his car was  and he said “ come by my place tommorow … for school”

You laughed quietly and whispered “yeah for school… goodnight kit”

“Goodnight”

And he drove away into the distance, back to his house

You went to your room, and got ready for bed, and all you could think about was Kit and the wonderful day you had with him. And about the wonderful day you would have with him tomorrow

 When The Tables Turn - Leo Valdez x Reader

Notes: Sorry this is a little short, and a little like my first Leo x reader... uh, but I like this one better anyway, I hope you enjoy! 

Summary: You wake up in a field one day, injured and with no memories. All you have is a white button up that seems oddly important. (This plot is as if the reader replaces Percy when his memories are taken in HOO)

Warnings: Swearing, Blood, Memory Loss, Slight Angst, Fluff, Unedited

You could feel your consciousness slowly coming back to you as the sun rose. Your body was numb. You couldn’t tell if it was from the cold or the injuries from last night. Last night? Wait, how long have I been passed out...

You force your eyes open, squinting at the bright sun, wanting nothing more than to retreat back into the open arms of your dreams. But that’s when your surroundings come into focus. You bolt up, wincing at the sudden pain that shoots through you. What had even happened? 

Your eyes scanned the field you were in, wildflowers growing in colorful explosions all around you. You grab your bleeding side, coating your hand in blood. You look down, slow to process what you were seeing. Red stained the dirty white button up you were wearing. “This isn’t my shirt...” You whisper, voice coming out hoarse, making you think you haven't had anything to drink in the past few days. 

You tried desperatley to think back to what had brought you into this situation, but you couldn’t. Everything was blurry. You had a vague memory of a monster attacking you last night... something snake like with three heads. But other than that all you knew was your name and age, that was about it. You look down at yourself, hoping that maybe your attire would jog your memories. Instead it confuses you even more. You were wearing an orange t-shirt that read “Camp Half-Blood.” and jean shorts. And that damn white button up that hung loosley around your shoulders. You knew it wasnt yours, but you could feel some connection with it. It almost felt safe. You didn’t understand. You were who knows where, with no memory, all you have is a probably deadly injury and a button up that felt important. In short, you were screwed.

It had been a few months since you had first woken up with no memories. You wish you could say that things were clearer now, but they were the opposite. You found out demigods existed, and apparently you were one. You met a bunch of other demigods. A bitchy son of Apollo, a sweet daughter of Pluto, and a nice son of Mars. You had just been on a quest with two of them, making things all the more complicated for you. No memories had come back to you in your time here, only feelings. Since you had awoken in that field a few months ago, you became more and more attached to that button up, refusing to take it off. It had some connection to your past, you knew it. And it was important.

You were currently in a conversation with another demigod, Reyna. The topic being your memories. “Are you sure you cannot remember a single thing?” She asks again, for what felt like the hundredth time. 

“Yes, Reyna, I’m sure. I don’t know what else I can do, I already went on that crazy fucking quest!” You exclaim, growing desperate. You didn’t know how much more you could take.

As if the gods heard you, a giant shadow appears over you. You watch as Reyna’s eyes widen, looking up to the sky. You follow her gaze to see a giant greek warship flying above the city, coming to a stop close to where you were standing. 

The whole city of New Rome falls silent as they watch a rope ladder be dropped off the side of the ship, a string of people starting to climb down it. A crowd begins to form as the outsiders reach the ground. One boy is looking around desperately, ignorning the threatening looks he was getting from the crowd. You watch as Octavian is about to speak up, but before he can the boy’s eyes land on you. 

It’s as if time stops as you stare at him. There was something familiar about him. He was short and had curly brown hair that was falling into his eyes. Oh, and his eyes. A warm brown that felt as if they were staring into your soul. A huge smile grows on his face as he looks at you, shouting to you from across the crowd. “I see you still have my shirt!”

Your slow to process what he is saying. His shirt? Thats when the dam in your mind breaks, memories bursting out. You remembered everything. You remembered Leo. 

You don’t hesitate as you begin to sprint through the crowd, knocking over people in your way. “Leo!” You shout as you break through the crowd, running into his open arms. He grabs your waist, spinning you around.

“Y/N!” He shouts happily, tears welling up in his eyes as he peppers your face with kisses. “You came back to me...” He whispers, pulling you in for a close hug. You melt into his arms, remembering how warm he is, remembering how clingy you always were, remembering everything youve ever loved about your soulmate. 

“Leo...” Is the only thing you can manage to choke out before he pulls back slightly, staring at you with a dreamy expression on his face. “My Y/N...” He whispers before kissing you softly.

In that moment he is your only thought, your only concern, your only memory. You’ve found your happiness once again. And you would fight tooth and nail to keep that button up of his. You were right, it was connected to your past, and it was very important.

The next morning, Leo had his arms wrapped around your waist protectively and his face nuzzled into the crook of your neck. As soon as you two had been reunited he had been very clingy, and so had you. Hedge hadn’t been able to make you sleep in your own rooms last night, you both needed to hold eachother. You would have stayed up all night talking to him if you hadn’t been so exhausted. And he had been so warm and comfy you fell asleep almost immediatley. Now waking up, all you wanted was to go back to sleep in his arms. You almost did too, but then Leo spoke up. 

“I’m sorry...” He mutters, nuzzling his face further into the crook of your neck. “I should never have let you be taken like that, Y/N... I’m so sorry...”

Your eyes widen at his words. You had been with Leo for years, you shouldve known he would blame himself, and yet you were very upset that he was apologizing for something he couldn’t control. “Oh darling, no... don’t apologize.”

“Y-You can keep that shirt, you look so cute anyway, and I’ll make you (your favorite food), and we can watch (your favorite movie), and I’ll take you on so many romantic dates, and never let you out of my arms again!” He exclaims, voice breaking. 

You roll over in his arms, cupping his face in your hands while rubbing his cheek with your thumb. “Leo... it wasn’t your fault... everything is ok, I promise. I’m ok, I’m perfect now that we’re together.” You whisper before kissing him gently.

He takes a moment to admire you, wiping his forming tears away before they could fall. “Promise?”

“I promise.” You say softly. Leo only showed this sensitive side to you. You knew how to comfort him so he could genuinely smile again. And after a few hours of quality time, he did.

Wool Coats And Weddings - Diluc x Reader

Notes: Another short self indulgent fic, sigh, the ending was a little rushed, sorry! Hope you like it!

Summary: Your boyfriend was often busy with work, so you jumped at the chance to spend time with him. He told you he cleared his schedule for you one night and you rushed over, only to find a long awaited surprise waiting for you.

Warnings: Fluff, Fluff, and more Fluff

It had been a long day for you. You had volunteered to do a particularly hard commission at the adventurers guild. Your whole body was sore as you trudged to Dawn Winery, eager to meet your boyfriend, Diluc. He had mentioned that he set aside some time for you tonight. He was often very busy, so you were excited to spend time with him.

As you approach the winery a cold wind blows over you, nipping at your skin. You scrunch up your nose, feeling it start to numb. You pick up your pace despite your aching feet, desperate to retreat into Diluc’s warm arms.

As you reach the winery, you quickly nod and mutter a few quick hellos to the workers outside before hurrying into the mansion. Your eyes scan the expensively decorated foyer before your gaze meets another’s. Cold ruby eyes that only softened when they saw you. You smile brightly, standing still and admiring Diluc for a moment. A soft smile to match your own appears on his lips as you advance towards him, hugging him tightly.

“Oh, there you are, I’ve been waiting for you.” He says with a soft chuckle, ruffling your hair.

“Hmm, sorry I took so long.” You mutter, voice coming out muffled as you bury your face into his chest. “Ran into cryo slimes on my way home.”

“Oh? Is that why your so cold darling?” He asks softly before pulling you closer, rubbing your back gently as he kisses the top of your head.

You hum in response as he pulls back to look at you. “Why don’t we go on a walk?”

“That sounds lovely.” You whisper before kissing him, letting him rest his hand on the small of your back, leading you outside.

The stars outside seemed even more beautiful with Diluc by your side. The whole world did. He leads you further into the winery, far out into the rows of grape vines, lightning bugs flashing every now and then. You glance up to dragonspine, even that freezing landscape looked beautiful. Everything was perfect. You barely even noticed how you were shivering, the cold seeping into your bones.

Of course, what you failed to notice, Diluc did not. “Where’s your jacket?” He asks, concern lacing his words. “It’s cold out, come here, let me warm you up” He says before slipping off his own jacket, laying it across your shoulders.

You smile brightly, your love growing for Diluc even more after that romantic gesture. You often forget your jacket, so it wasn’t unordinary for Diluc to lend you his jacket. But every time he did, butterflies formed in your stomach. You were convinced you had found your soulmate.

“Thank you, love.” You say softly before slipping your hands into the wool lined pockets of the jacket. That’s when your fingers ghost over a small velvet box. Your heart stops as you rub the soft material, fingers gliding over the the curved edges. If you weren’t mistaken, it was a ring box. Your mind immediately jumped to conclusions. Was Diluc going to propose?

A moment passes before Diluc glances over at you, noticing your shocked expression. His face contorts with worry, stopping in his tracks as he speaks softly to you. “Darling? Is everything alright?”

Your too stunned to answer, or hear him for that matter. Your mind was going a mile a minute. Could he really be proposing? You had been dating for a few years now. You had even talked about marriage before. But you were still shocked. Then you reminded yourself that it may not be a ring box at all. And even if it was, it didn’t have to be an engagement ring. But… you secretly hoped it was.

“Darling?” Diluc repeats, snapping your attention to him. You watched as his expression slowly changed from concern to realization. “Oh…oh!” He exclaims before hanging his head, hiding his face from your view. “It was supposed to be a surprise.”

“Diluc…” You whisper, your hope growing more and more by the second. Before you can say anything else he takes your hand, leading you faster through the winery.

“I just wish you had brought your coat love, the surprise would have been more enchanting.” He says, although there is no anger in his voice. Your mind is slow to process his words. Could this really be happening?

Before you have a chance to ponder, you reach the tree line. There’s a soft glow coming from deeper in the forest. Diluc leads you onwards, leaving Dawn Winery behind. You watch as the light becomes brighter before the trees opens up to a small clearing. Lanterns were placed around in the branches of surrounding trees and there were even some nestled in the grass, giving the clearing a soft glow. In the middle of it all is a dinner table, wild flowers in a vase on top of it, along with a lavish meal.

“Wow…” is all you manage to choke out, staring in complete awe at the scene in front of you. Suddenly, you feel Diluc’s gloved hand slip into the pocket along with yours, grabbing the velvet box.

Your head snaps over to him as he smiles softly, getting down on one knee. “I was going to wait until after dinner, but seeing as you already know…” he trails off, opening the box, revealing what you had been expecting all along. A beautiful engagement ring. The band was gold with silver leaves decorating it. A diamond was nestled in the middle, shimmering in the glow of the lanterns. “Y/N… will you marry me?”

“Yes!” You shout, not hesitating as the fog of your mind clears. You had never been more sure about anything in your life.

He chuckles quietly, a bright smile adorning his lips. It was a smile he would only ever show to you. “Really?”

“Yes, of course! By the archons, I love you!” You exclaim before jumping into his arms, burying your face into the crook of his neck. You had been waiting your whole life for this moment, and now you knew, no matter what life would throw at you in the years to come, you would always have Diluc by your side.

Notes: Bro so like, my last fanfic kinda blew up a bit so ummm omg thank you, I was kinda losing it, but I decided to post my Diluc headcanons for all my new followers since I don’t currently have anymore fic ideas, so please send in some requests! 

Summary: My headcanons for my favorite fluffy haired king and what it’s like to be in a relationship with him <3

Warnings: Burns, Self Harm

Fluffy hair, fluffy fluffy fluffy hair

He acts annoyed when you play with it, but he secretly loves it, trust me

He just melts when you run your hands through his hair, despite the grumpy expression he has on his face

If you can’t see through his expression and stop playing with his hair he will grab your wrist and put your hand back where it was, not saying a word

He’s not as grumpy about it from now on, at least in private (in private he can and will fall asleep as you play with his hair, his favorite way to fall asleep)

Pssst- your the reason he started wearing his hair in a high ponytail, because while playing with it you often tie it up like that

Theres a reason he wears gloves, but he’s never told anyone why

You yourself found out by accident

He forgot to lock the bathroom door one day, and you walked in while he was washing his hands

There was burn marks all over his fingers and palms

When he saw you he panicked. This lead to a very long conversation between the two of you

When he first got his vision, he didn’t know how to use it. Accidents happened. But, apparently some of the burns were self inflicted. Sometimes his past became too much for him

He promised you that had been a long time ago, he was better now that he had you. 

Even with his promises you got upset, and it lead to a long night of cuddles. You made him promise to talk to you if he ever felt even a little upset

Nightly strolls!!!

No matter how busy Diluc is he will always to find time to take you on a walk around the winery when the stars are lighting up the sky

He wraps his coat around you on chilly nights, chuckling softly when you snuggle into it. He can’t help but admire you when your bundled up in his clothes

He is feircly protective of you, but he tries not to show it, But he is always sure to veer away from the cryo slimes on your walks, or he takes care of them beforehand, as you sometimes like to wander into Liyue a bit on some nights

Diluc actually gets insanly jealous

He sometimes doesn’t feel good enough for you, so when he see’s you hanging out with Kaeya, for example, he gets really insecure

He tries not to let you know. Poor boy is embarrassed, ok? He loves you so much, and of course he trusts you but seeing you with someone, especially Kaeya, makes him a little upset

He won’t say anything though, but he will get a little distant

It takes him a little while to open up, but when he does you’ll have to comfort him a bit

When his jealously passes and he calms down he apologizes profusely, he doesn’t want to be the “jealous boyfriend”

The Flowers Of Mondstadt - Diluc Ragnvindr x Reader (Soulmate AU)

Notes: I’ve been obsessed with soulmate au’s and Diluc lately so here we are, also this is unedited, I’m tired, deal with it. 

Summary: You’ve lived in Inazuma your whole life. While strict and conforming, it was beautiful. It was one of the only upsides to the city of eternity, in your opinion. So you took up sketching its beauties. Particularly, the flowers. You would sit for hours, using your arms as your own personal canvas in an attempt to make yourself as beautiful as your surroundings. And perhaps, to attract the attention of your soulmate. Whatever you drew on your body would appear on your soulmate's body as well. It was your only contact with the outside world, your only lifeline. And finally, the day came where you could compare Inazuma’s flowers to Mondstadt’s.

Warnings: Seperation, Crying, Fluff, Slight Angst

You were five when you learned about soulmate bonds. It was a concept a little complicated for your young mind to comprehend, but your mother had to offer an explanation when you came to her crying that someone invisible wrote something on your arm. She explained to you that everybody born in Teyvat had a soulmate, someone that perfectly complemented you and your personality. Someone made for you. You hadn’t really understood at the time, all you knew was you had a new friend to talk to. So after a moment of staring at the messy word, “Hello?”, written on your arm, you write back, “Hi!” 

It was a minute before a new word appeared. “What’s your name?”

“Y/N.” You write, smiling brightly. “What's yours?” 

“Diluc.”

It’s been years since a new word has appeared on your arm. When Diluc stopped responding you were worried that something had happened. A sick feeling had settled in your stomach for months. Diluc was your only connection to the outside world, he was your only lifeline. He gave you hope of one day escaping Inazuma, making your way to the city of freedom. But it’s been years now, and your hope has slowly faded. Life seemed a little duller after Diluc stopped responding. The only thing that made you feel emotion anymore was drawing the flowers around Inazuma. Despite Inazuma being a harsh and constricting nation, its flowers were beautiful. You had spent years perfecting your sketches of them, your arm was often covered with the drawings. Before Diluc had left, he told you of the flowers that are found in Mondstadt, he even drew a few of them for you. Your favorite had been the Cecelia’s. He promised to pick you a bouquet when you finally met. 

Thinking back on the memory made your hands shake, turning the flower you were drawing on your arm to a messy ink stain. 

“By the archons…” You mutter to yourself, closing your eyes for a moment. “Why… Why did you leave?” You whisper, voice breaking. A pit was settling in your stomach again. It’s been this way for too long, you were sick of this dismal existence. You didn’t even know if he was dead or alive. The question was plaguing your mind, you needed answers. You needed to be happy. 

That was the moment you decided. You needed to escape Inazuma. Your mind started going a mile a minute, thinking of plans, and money, and things you would need. You didn’t stop to consider what it really meant to leave Inazuma. It was your home, and your family was here. And chances are, you would never be able to return. But at the moment, none of that mattered. You were desperate to be happy again. 

You bolt up, setting off to find the one man who could help you. Your best friend, Thoma. You knew where he would be, he was supposed to be meeting someone at the docks in Ritou. Apparently, Aether you think his name was, came to Inazuma on a pirate ship. Maybe you could hitch a ride out of Inazuma.

By the time you got to the docks, you could see Thoma talking to three strangers. You run up behind him, shouting his name. 

He turns, a confused look on his face. “Y/N, what are you doing here?”

You skid to a stop in front of him, breathing heavily, your lungs burning from the run. “I… I need to go find him.”

“Go find him? Wh-” He starts to say before stopping himself, eyes widening. “Him.”

“Yes! And I need help, Thoma please.” You beg, ignoring the looks you were getting from the three he had been having a conversation with. “I need him to be happy, Thoma… I need to meet him… I need to meet Diluc.”

Before he can say anything, one of the strangers speaks up. “Diluc? Do you mean… Master Diluc?!” She says in a high pitched voice. 

You glance over to look at her, she is a small girl with white hair, and she's floating next to a man with blonde hair, a confused look on his face as well. 

“D-Do you know him?!” You ask, the hope you had felt years ago slowly creeping back to your heart. 

“Yes, we know him!” The girl says, smiling. “Master Diluc owns a bar and a winery in Mondstadt!”

“So he’s…. He’s alive!” You shout, smiling genuinely for the first time in years. “I need to get to him!”

“Well we came over here on Captain Beidous ship, The Crux! Maybe you can catch a ride too!” 

Your gaze drifts over to the other stranger, who’s name is apparently Captain Beidou. She smiles at you, setting her hands on her hips. “It’d be my pleasure, he’s your soulmate I’m guessing? Yeah, you have that look in your eyes. I remember when I met mine, in Liyue Harbor. That’s where I’m heading now, I’d be happy to have you aboard.” 

Before you can even process what she said, Thoma speaks up. “W-wow… your… actually leaving.”

You turn to look at him, smiling sadly as you hug him. Thoma was the only one who could even attempt to fill the void Diluc left. “Thoma, I’m not leaving you behind.” You say softly. “I’ll find a way to see you again, I promise.”

Luther and Allison’s relationship with each other seemed everything but normal and from an outsider's perspective, it even appeared incestuous. But while the other siblings always made jokes about them, there was one family member in particular who couldn't help but feel jealous at the sight of the couple.

After all, that's what she could have had if it wasn't for his death.

Y/N Hargreeves, also known as Number 8 happened to be in love with her brother Ben. His calming presence and kind nature made it hard for her not to. And she always knew that he loved her too. Even when he never said it. But unfortunately, he died before she was able to tell him.

“You need to get in touch with Ben!”,Y/N’s voice was filled with sadness, as she walked into the living area. A young Klaus, who sat at the bar turned around on the barstool:” What?”.

“You heard me!”, she said and swallowed thickly. She felt the eyes of her siblings on her:” You need to get in touch with Ben.”. “I can’t just-.”.

“P-Please, just shut up for once in your life and do me a favor!”. Everyone looked at her in shock, and while Klaus knew he should be offended- he couldn’t. He sighed and lied:” I would if I could.”.

“So, I found a way home.”,Five says while cleaning his face. “What? How?”,Y/N asks while taking another sip of coffee.

“All the details are irrelevant, but I made a deal to get back to our timeline.”.

“What about doomsday?”,Diego asks and looks at his brother, who steps out of the bathroom.

“Won’t happen.”, he explains. “And the 2019 Apocalypse?”.

Y/N puts the cup into the sink and turns around. “Everything will be back to normal. Alright? No more questions. We gotta go.”.

The young woman sighs and grabs her jacket:” We have to find the others, right?.”.

“Yeah.”,Five points at Luther:” You’ll get Allison.”. He turns and points at Y/N:” You and Diego grab Klaus, and I’ll grab Vanya.”.

Y/N and Diego exchange a quick look and when the siblings walk to her car, Diego grabs her by the upper arm:” Wait.”. She turns to him and wrinkles her forehead:” What?”.

The long-haired man looks around, before leaning closer to his sister:” I need to say goodbye to someone before we leave- go, get Klaus and we’ll see each other in the Alleyway.”.

For a few seconds, Y/N looks at her brother, before pulling him into a hug:” Okay, be careful. Don’t forget. 70 Minutes left.”.

Diego nods before he walks down the street and disappears behind a corner. Y/N sighs before she walks towards the car and drives to Klaus’ mansion.

Her eyes widen at the sight of the estate, many people are walking around the house and the garden. “Excuse me.”, she says and a young man, dressed in light blue, turns around:” Have you seen Klaus?”.

“Y/N?”, a familiar voice says and when she turns around Klaus is standing a few meters away from her. Smiling at her with tears in his eyes.

“Are you okay?”, she asks, while walking towards him:” Why are you- Anyway, we need to go now! Five found a way to bring us back home but we need to go now!”.

But instead of following her, Klaus just stares at her. His eyes are filled with amazement and - love. “Klaus-.”.

“I’m not Klaus.”.

Y/N rolls her eyes and grabs him by the arm:” Yeah, really funny, I am not going to call you by your cult leader name- we need to go. We have less than 60 minutes in order to get to-.”.

“Y/N-.”,Klaus interrupts her and swallows thickly:” I am Ben.”.

As soon as the words leave his lips a shiver runs down her spine and hot tears appear in her eyes. Klaus smiles at her, but before he is able to say anything Y/N‘s hand collides with his cheek. “Well, that hurt.”, he says and gently rubs his face.

“I can’t believe you would say that!”,Y/N hisses at him:” You know how sensitive I am when it comes to Ben.”.

“Y/N- I’m not lying. Okay- ask me something only Ben would know about.”.

For a few seconds, she looks at him, before she crosses her arms in front of her chest:” When we were children, and Dad would be on the hallway - what would we always do to warn each other?”.

Without missing a beat Klaus replies:” Knock four times on the right side of the wall.”. Y/N‘s eyes widen, while she slightly opens her mouth: “B-Ben.“.

Without waiting for a second longer she pulls him into a bone-crushing hug. While her body shakes and tears run down her cheeks, she holds on to him for dear life. When she let’s go of Klaus, she takes his face into her hands:” Where have you been?”.

“Right here, the entire time. I’m basically Klaus’ shadow at this point.”.

“But...I-I asked Klaus-“, she starts, while frustration flashes in her y/e/c eyes. He sighs softly, while laying his huge hands over hers:” I wanted you to move on, I never knew how long I would be around, anyway. I-.”, he pauses:” I loved you- and I still do. How couldn’t I? I watched you grow into this amazing and strong woman- and I am so incredibly proud of you.“.

Y/N stares at him. She knows this will be the only moment they will ever have:” Please, kiss me.”.

“What?”.

Without hesitating, she pulls Klaus to her and connects her lips with his. When she let’s go she once again puts her arms around his neck:” I know, we don’t have time. In more than one way. But I want you to know, I will always love you, in this life and the next. It is selfish, but I wish you could stay with me forever. I know you can’t, that’s - that’s why I pray that you find the peace you deserve.”.

When she lets go, she sees that a few tears run down his cheeks as well and he nods softly.

“Let’s go.”, she grabs his hand:” Let’s go find Five.”.

Fugazi, Jacob’s Run, Wilmington, NC USA 2/6/1993 (FLS #0493)

“Fugazi in Wilmington, North Carolina, at the early stages of their epic 1993 tour schedule. This is the band's first time playing in the city, and they would return only once years later. This first show take's place at a Wilmington venue called Jacob's Run. We get some good-humoured soundcheck hey-hey's and a little opening remark from Ian. Soon enough the show opens with a rocking Reprovisional. 

The recording sounds brighter than on average from the era, but also a bit thin and Joe's bass tends to drown out. Overall this recording is still very good, and as is usual, the best thing about it is how the band's unified power and energy comes through. Other than wishing for some more low end, the mix balance is adequate. Brendan's kit has power and some nice detail. 

The show moves onwards with fast rockers. The band can't quite get to a state of flow, but the playing is fierce throughout. Some guitar tuning issues persist and there's a long interlude as Ian tries to fix things while Guy does a little chatting. A highlight early on is a strong and explosive Rend It. 

I really like how on these older recordings you can hear the shouts from the crowd between songs really well. It makes you feel like you are there. This is good since there's some quite funny and over the top confrontation regarding Ian's guitar troubles. After the banter we get another highlight in the form of a riveting Long Division. The band is in a high energy mode, and it gives the song a curiously funky and fast-paced edge. 

Explosive performances continue with an angry rendition of Bulldog Front, and the classic Waiting Room. You can hear the singalong from the crowd pretty well on this tape, especially on the oldies. The room's atmosphere is excited and enthusiastic. The crowd welcomes still unreleased tracks, such as the muscular Instrument, with delight too. Another goosebumps-inducing singalong can be heard during the huge, slow Shut The Door. 

The band pumps out Facet Squared as the first encore, and I can only imagine how cool it was to hear that bassline rumbling under the beeping feedback live for the first time. Dear Justice Letter could be called a rarity on the 1993 tour, especially this winter US leg. The song's vibe and attitude never fail to pull the listener in. Finally, another crushing version of Reclamation ends the evening. 

The show feels like it just flies by, as everything is played with amazing levels of energy. The band did mostly 60-70 minute sets around this time, and I'm sure the enthusiastic crowd was once again left hungry for more. Patton booted up his 60s and 70s playlist on his phone and paused to listen for a few seconds, hoping it would put a little pep in his step. He’d gotten up about an hour later than he usually did with the beginnings of a major headache, but he was hoping he could ignore it and push through. He didn’t bother to boot up his laptop, instead just going through and responding to the most pressing work emails on his phone. His eyes were already straining after that short task, so he closed them and let the phone fall to his chest, trying to focus on the music still coming through the speakers.

He woke up 5 hours later. The headache had not abated, in fact, it had only grown worse. He coughed, hoping the tickle in his throat was just from it being dry and he wasn’t getting sick. He and Lo had plans for the weekend.

The plan had been to do most of the chores today so their weekend would be free; it was half of the reason he was working from home today, but he might have to do an abridged list. The vacuuming and dusting could wait a bit yet and Logan and he could tag team the dishes from this morning when they cleaned up after dinner. Laundry had to be done today if he wanted something to wear tomorrow, but that wasn’t too hard of a task. He also should probably water the plants, especially the one by the armchair; it looked a little dry. Then, he should cook something for dinner before Logan got home. His head throbbed. Maybe just something simple.

He gritted his teeth and sat up. It’s easy, Patton, he told himself, water the plants, do the laundry, cook. It was a short list. He could do it.

Okay.

Gather the laundry. Patton had left two of his cardigans strewn about the living room and dining room, so he picked those up on his way to get the laundry from the bathroom upstairs. He put everything into a basket before heading to the laundry room and starting the first load.

Water the plants. He grabbed a pitcher and filled it with water. He started making the rounds but got distracted by one of the Beatle songs that started playing. He was reminded of what he was supposed to be doing when the washing machine buzzed.

Switch the laundry. He took the laundry in the washer and put it in the dryer before adding another load. Then he went back into the living room.

Finish watering the plants. Had he watered the plant in the corner? He couldn’t remember, but even if he had, the plant had been a bit neglected so watering it twice shouldn’t hurt. He watered the plant and then sat down on the couch again.

His headache was getting worse.

He needed to cook something for dinner.

Something really simple then. The washing machine buzzed again while he was thinking about what to make.

Laundry. He grabbed the first load out of the dryer and switched the others. He tossed one of his cardigans on the couch. He figured he’d probably want it later since he’d started to go through phases of hot and cold in the last 30 minutes or so. He stared at the laundry and managed to fold a couple of the important pieces before deciding that was enough for the moment.

Cook. He walked into the kitchen and stumbled when the headache suddenly increased. Black spiderwebs spread out over his vision and he fell, hitting his head on the countertop. He gasped in surprise and pain as he crumpled onto the floor, holding his head. He felt hot all over and cold at the same time suddenly. The cough returned, shaking him completely. He tasted blood.

This was not normal.

He grabbed his phone from his pocket and wasn’t sure if he was having trouble reading the numbers because of whatever was wrong with him or because of the panicked tears building in his eyes. He managed to dial 911 with shaky fingers. He wasn’t sure how he was able to so calmly wait for the operator to answer and then explain what was happening to the best of his abilities. He gave his address and told her he was in the kitchen.

He made the mistake of trying to get back to his feet and sit in one of the kitchen chairs while he waited for the ambulance to arrive. He did manage to make it to his feet, but then everything went black.

He woke briefly to strangers touching him. He did not like it. Paramedics, his brain supplied. He tried to tramp down the overwhelming instinct to struggle against the restraints on him. He’d been strapped to a gurney he assumed, and there was something boxing in his neck. A woman’s face lent over him.

“Hey, there,” she said. “Patton, right? Try not to move,” she requested, as he was being wheeled out of his front door toward the ambulance. “It’ll be fine.” Ironic last words to hear before you die. Ironic last words to say before you die too.

The other paramedic, a man that had been wheeling Patton out of his house, looked up at something behind the woman with a confused, pinched expression. Then, the woman screamed. Blood and bits of flesh splattered all over Patton. The other paramedic screamed too a moment later as the person or thing that had attacked turned its attention on him, dropping the woman’s dead body so it slumped against the gurney and Patton for a moment before sliding slowly down, leaving the feeling of wet, warm blood against Patton’s front and side.

Patton was never touched by the person who had attacked. After all, what would be the point of the virus targeting him when he’d already been infected the day before.

He died 10 minutes later.

…

Sort of.

He awoke (in a way) sometime later. Though, it is perhaps strange to say he woke as his eyes had not been closed and he was somewhat aware that his body had been moving for a long time before then. There was something around his middle and out out out raged at the back of his skull, but that is not what had woken him. No, what had woken him was a much too warm touch on his cold face and the harsh black tingling feeling that crawled like ants up his throat to settle between his teeth.

Patton did not like that feeling. He tried to yank away from it both physically and mentally. Physically there was not far to go as he was still strapped down, but mentally he jerked hard on that foreign desire pulling at him and it retreated a bit. For all the hissing wildness of the urge and his own fractured brittleness of consciousness, it was easy to rein in the instinct and make it freeze in place. Like Patton was a dying tree and it was a balloon whose string got caught in his branches.

The soft touch on his face retreated and what Patton recognized as words were said though none of them settled in Patton’s head enough for him to make sense of them. Soon he felt more touch near where he was restrained. He felt himself squirm without meaning or wanting to. Soon enough, he was free and like a puppet on a string, his body sat up. Then…

Touch. Touch, touch, touch.

It was not something Patton chose to do, in fact he was flickering in and out so much, he didn’t think he could have done it if he’d tried, but his hands were reaching for the warm thing in front of him and grabbing at it. Yet, the touch was soft; that was okay, Patton decided.

After a moment, Patton got soft touches in return, warm hands on his face and careful hands pushing Patton’s own away a bit. There were more words, quick things that left no impressions. Eventually, he was pulled forward with his whole front against the warmth and his mouth was pressed up against something hard and bony like someone’s wrist. He turned his head away a bit displeased with the feel of the thing over his mouth, but he allowed the warmth against most of his front to say. Safe, he thought. Whatever the warmth and soft touches were, they were safe. Safe enough that, while he made sure to keep a good mental grip on the bad instincts still wiggling in his head, he felt like it was okay to fade into nothing once again. He thought he could hear crying as he went.

For a long time after that, he was nothing more than a ghost haunting his own flesh. He barely existed, but for the brief moments he flickered into consciousness to shove the prickling instinct inching in his mouth and throat firmly away.

Other than that, the aching out out out caused by the constant restraints keeping him tethered to the wall, mostly kept him from thinking. He’d tune in sometimes when Soft Touch came to talk to him, but quickly faded away knowing he was safe. Perhaps he did not like the things that held him down, but he knew it was okay. He was okay and that was enough.

Then, suddenly, there was a voice. Soft Touch came with a voice too which always settled familiarly around him, but he was used to it enough that he never paid it much mind. This voice was different though. It had a certain candidness to it and was a bit lower. At the beginning it often rumbled a bit like a growl, but over time it started to soften around the edges, growing kind. It spoke to him a lot and the newness pulled Patton into trying to listen to it more sometimes when he was slightly awake.

One time, after the kind voice had visited and left and visited many times, it suddenly came closer. Things were pressed against him and he did not like that and tried to pull away as much as he could, but then they stopped. Kind Voice spoke from right in front of him for a long time and Patton tried to listen.

“Garden.”

He thought he liked that word. He wasn’t sure why.

He faded back to sleep with that word in his head.

Things were new but not new then as he was taken somewhere different and allowed to be there a lot of the time. The new place was familiar, but he had trouble clinging to why. It was easier to flicker in every so often when he was not tied down, just to see. Couch. Chair. Picture. Table. Plate. They weren’t really thoughts, just acknowledgments of things and a slight feeling of familiarity whenever he woke. They drifted away rather quickly.

Eventually, random things would drag him momentarily into consciousnesses with a real almost thought.

A piece of paper: I need to send that birthday card.

A dropped piece of cheese on the floor: I really should sweep up soon.

A spoon: No, I do NOT want the tomatoes.

The plant.

Plant?

But nothing really kept him there for long.

Armchair. Good. Soft. There was a clinking from the kitchen and Patton got to his feet, intrigued by whatever had made that, but something tugged him back when he got a couple of feet away. He turned on the thing in agitation, but then stopped short when his eyes landed on the plant in the corner.

Water the plants. It’s easy Patton. Water the plants. Did he water the plant in the corner? Water the plant. Why was he tied to his armchair? Plant.

A sound, words, snapped him out of the looping. Then there was a smarting of pain and a crash. Then. Get. He bit back the bad instinct as he heard Kind Voice making displeased sounds under him.

Eventually things settled, the plant gone from his mind.

For a while.

Patton jerked back into consciousness abruptly as the bad instinct flared up more intensely than it ever had before. Prey, it seemed to say, and it is asleep. It is vulnerable.

Patton pulled back so hard on the instinct that he almost choked on it, and it dissolved away in his hands. It faded away completely for the first time in forever.

Patton came to with one arm outstretched and a knee on the bed. After a moment of just being there, he completed the motion he hadn’t started and softly touched the sleeping face in front of him with careful fingertips.

Logan.

Exhausted, he crumpled into their bed and was asleep in a matter of seconds.

Patton eventually started to linger nearer to the surface sometimes. He was not quite there, but at the same time something was there. If that thing was Patton, he wasn’t quite sure. It was a strange bridge between the nothing that was usually there and Patton. When there were distractions around, people moving and talking and touching him, he found himself slipping away in the confusion, but when all was quiet, and he was left along with nothing but fractures of thoughts…

His feet stumbled down the steps in the dark. Need to. Have to. Something. Something. Something.

Plant.

Water the plant.

It did not matter that the plant was no longer there, swept up after its pot was broken weeks before.

It was okay. It didn’t have to be there for Patton to pour water where it once was. Patton wasn’t really there either, after all.

There was a sweater on the back of the couch.

Do the laundry.

He took the sweater to the laundry room and put it in the washer. He pushed the button and was unconcerned when it didn’t make a sound.

…

Had he watered the plant?

Night.

Water the plant.

Laundry in the washer goes into the dryer.

Plant. Where is the plant?

…

Water the plant.

Get the laundry out of the dryer. Too tired to fold. It’s okay, he’ll be cold soon anyway. He’ll just put it down here on the couch... side table... chair.

Wait… whose hoodie is this?

Water the plant.

Again and again and again and again. Like a broken record: round and round. Sometimes he could almost figure out the puzzle before the pieces slipped away.

Patton had been upstairs, his mind drifting to the laundry, but the laundry basket wasn’t where it was supposed to be. He’d been staring at the place it should have been in the bathroom for hours, contemplating the empty space, when there was a loud bang from downstairs. Soon after, there were loud voices, a couple of which he did not recognize. He faded into the background a bit as he was drawn to the noises on instinct.

He didn’t stir again until one of the new voices spoke directly to him.

“Is there anyone alive in there?” a man Patton did not recognize asked. He looked angry and spiteful, but Patton was always good at seeing people’s emotions for what they really were. He was scared. He was scared of Patton, Patton somehow knew, and Patton had never liked people being scared of him. He expected Patton to hurt him, but Patton knew he wouldn’t even when he wasn’t really him anymore. Even if it took up what was left of himself to make it be so. Patton blinked to clear the fogginess at the edge of his vision and looked at the man in front of him.

Is there anyone alive in there?

Yes.

“Yes,” Patton said. Then, he was gone again.

Dollar Tree is honestly pretty fucking awesome 👌👌👌

I set my alarm for like 6:25 this morning, but it took 6 minutes for the "Horsin' Around" theme song instrumental to wake me up. I was pretty tired lol. I just dismissed it and went back to sleep.

I only went back to sleep because I knew I had another alarm set for 7:00. That got me up.

I should mention that this was still in the RV over an hour away from the house.

After I got up, I went to go get a shower, and did so successfully.

Unfortunately, I had forgotten my brush this time and had to do it afterwards after my hair had a bit of time to dry, which did make it a little more difficult lol.

I got dressed and grabbed my stuff, putting it into my car.

I made it a point to see and say "see you later" to my grandparents before I left for the flea market.

My dad insisted that I stayed to say goodbye to my mom, so I left.

I did NOT have cell service up there, as was mentioned in my previous 2 blogs of which I could only post today, so finding my way was a tiny bit difficult until I got some service to ask Google to take me to "...".

It worked and I got there.

On my drive, I listened to 1 by Simple Kid, a CD I had previously purchased at a Dollar Tree location.

I got a call from the guy at the flea market saying that I had some people there waiting for me. He asked how far away I was, to which I said "about 10 minutes." Ironically, that call made me miss my exit, as Google couldn't talk during the call, and added about 3 minutes to my arrival time lmao.

I did sell the Xbox that he said someone was interested in. I got $40 for it. I spent 27¢ on it. Pretty good return if you ask me.

I couldn't sell it with anything other than a power cord because the controller and AV cables I had been using to play it there were for my personal console. I'm just glad I can actually hook my Xbox up and stop having to drag them to the flea market along with a small library of games.

Not too long after I sold the Xbox, someone came in and asked if I wanted to see some electronics he had in his car. I went out with him. It was a pair of 3ft speakers and a Pioneer audio system with dual cassette decks (although neither of them works) and a 25 Disc CD-changer, as well as the standard AM/FM tuner. Additionally, there was a Fisher amplifier and AM/FM tuner as well as a Fisher Direct Drive turntable. He said he wanted $60 for em, but before that he casually, and probably accidentally, dropped that he was just gonna take em to the thrift store.

Big mistake.

I got em for $35 lmao. THERE GOES MOST OF MY PROFIT.

Oh well.

I tested everything. As I mentioned, the cassette decks don't work, but everything else does apart from the turntable needing a new stylus.

I posted some new photos of the shop to Facebook, and someone soon DMed me about a stereo system.

I priced everything, and it turns out I have about $300 worth of equipment from that deal, the Fisher amp and tuner being worth about $150.

The buyer will hopefully show up next weekend, for he wants to buy the Fisher stuff ($185 with the turntable), the 3ft speakers, an 8-track deck, and a Kenwood deck we've had for a week or two.

The speakers are listed for $50 (and are worth around $100-150), the Kenwood Deck for $50 as well, and the 8-track for $35. That makes it about $320 in equipment. Since he's buying so much, I'll knock it down to $270 and essentially give him the speakers or cassette deck for free lol.

Apart from that stuff, not much happened at the flea market. I sold some records, cassettes, CDs and I think 2 DVDs. One person bought a VHS tape? That money was the other guy's though. Oh well xD.

I can't say that I didn't miss my wonderful partner while on the trip. I actually brought along the stuffed animal they gave me (who's name is Greg) and snuggled with him both nights.

I was very happy to hear from them UwU.

They let me rant and I let them rant.

I honestly give them too much responsibility over me xD. I'm like, "Okay, I'm gonna do this. HOLD ME TO IT."

I know I can't hold myself to anything I personally say (this blog being the only exception apparently), but I listen to them pretty well I think 🤔. If they tell me, "No, you don't need that VCR," so long as it's not some weird specialty thing, like a worldwide VCR 🥵, I'll be like "Yeah, you rite bro."

I love you man xD. You control my craziness pretty well. I'm so thankful for you UwU.

So part way through the flea market day, I went over to Dollar Tree to buy some snack, but ended up looking through the CDs to see if there was anything good. I took photos of about 18 CDs and flipped through them online for the remainder of the flea market day.

I deleted the photos of the ones I didn't want and kept those that I liked. Surprisingly, I ended up buying 13 CDs there, but not before dropping them on the floor like the dumbass I am.

Also, sorry for all the nerd shit I spilled on your lap earlier. No one cares about amps and tuners xD.

I'M LISTENING TO ONE OF THE DOLLAR TREE CDS RIGHT NOW THO.

I already transferred over to my online library on iBroadcast and put the disc into my CD changer, which is now holding 164 CDs.

Its max capacity is 300 discs 🥵

I get really excited over some electronics. Like. REALLY excited.

Some editing VCRs are like "Holy shit that is SEXY. Look at those goddamn VU meters 🥵. And hhhh there are like 7 inputs on this thing and individual controls for left and right audio gain, not to mention Hi-Fi S-VHS recording. Hhhhhhhhhhh please gimme 😭. Why are you so expensive?"

I uh, mean, uh, *cough* look, pretty lights.

Oh yeah, I was gonna say the album I was listening to xD. MAN I GOT SIDETRACKED.

It's 37 Everywhere by Punchline. Def give it a listen; it's pretty heccin good.

Another notable album I picked up was Page One by Steven Page. I very much like the first track, "A New Shore." It's quite catchy and he has a great voice imo.

I honestly like the generic Dollar Tree version of Takis more than actual Takis. They're a lot more flavorful when it comes to the lime, but also hotter at the same time.

I got home and started working on putting the CDs onto my computer, and then onto iBroadcast, but not without first adding The Music Man to my digital library, something I had neglected for a month or two. The CD had just been sitting there lol.

I also switched my digital file for "The Black Parade" to that of the uncensored CD, which I had purchased before I event started working over 2 months ago.

MAN I'M LAZY

I eventually get around to shit tho lol. I guess it's just a matter of priority.

What usually takes priority is digging through everything to find something that I forgot about but then remembered, making a mess in the process that I would then have to clean up, at least partially.

I think the album just ended. I've been writing for a while xD. I'ma start "I Made You Something" by The Island of the Misfit Toys.

I'll tell you where that album came from in a minute.

In the meantime, where was I?

I kinda lost my train of thought despite reading up to see where I was. Oh well. On I go.

I ate dinner and kept working on those CDs, eventually putting my clothes from the week into the washer.

Meanwhile, the box of my CD album cases is overflowing. I need another box.

I keep all of the album artworks in a big CD folder. That's almost full.

I wanna fill my entire CD changer. That's one of my big goals in life. Idk why, but I just wanna legitimately fill the entire thing.

My clothes are in the dryer now. I don't think I have the time (or energy) to fold them tonight. I'll leave that for tomorrow morning before work.

And God. Fucking. Damnit. I start school again on Wednesday. NOT looking forward to that, and neither are my 2 coworkers. We already have low enough staff, but only the two of them working is gonna be a pain in the ass.

I'll still work Saturdays.

I need to contact my guidance counselor to get out of the gym class I signed up for. I scheduled this shit before I found out I was trans, and I don't wanna deal with the fucking locker room situation 🙄 I have far more important matters.

Okay so anyway, the album I'm listening to came from a cassette. I bought this cassette a few months ago at the flea market along with a few others. The reason I bought them? They were all newer cassette releases from the 2010's, and they're all actually pretty good music from very indie bands.

Currently getting mad at iBroadcast's compression algorithm. It's unnaturally fucking anything over -10db up. Oh well, there's not really anything I can do about it.

I have like 13GB of music on my phone btw. That's about 3.5k songs on 268 albums.

I'm kind of an audiophile, but I'm too cheap to pay for a lossless service. Oh well.

They do actually have a lossless service on iBroadcast, but once again, too cheap.

Someone just sent me a friend request who legitimately posted that BLM and the democratic party are hate groups.

I don't get that. They call the democratic party a hate group when they hate people like me, and I, being more of a democrat although not fully because the 2-party system is fucked, think nothing more of them than they're very wrong about certain things, especially, as shown, that black people, as well as asian, Indian, native, and people of all ethnicities and backgrounds, are not equal to white people.

Anyway, yeah, I can, and do, convert music and video from analog formats to digital files in order for me to archive and listen to whenever and wherever I please. I've actually made a bit of a business out of it, but I don't get too much work from it. At least I'm not overloading myself xD.

I honestly have so much more to say, but I should probably go to sleep soon.
