ONE: Are you named after anyone?

My middle name is the same as my Mom’s. Actually, she wanted to name me Dawn - my father’s name was Don. But he said absolutely not, so... 20 years later (yes, 20 years), my baby sister was born, and I guess she wore him down, because her name is Dawn. LOL

TWO: When was the last time you cried?

Within the last hour - because I’m a sap and I was watching an episode of Chicago Fire, which gives you an opportunity to cry about every other ep 😁😭

THREE: Do you have kids?

Two.

FOUR: Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Who, me??

FIVE: What sports have you played/do you play?

Does mini-golf count? 😂

SIX: What's the first thing you notice about people?

How they treat other people. I can’t handle unkind people.

SEVEN: What's your eye colour?

Blue

EIGHT: Scary movies or happy endings?

Both, it depends on my mood. Although these days I tend to prefer a suspenseful thriller more than a horror movie as far as scary movies go.

NINE: Any special talents?

I write, but I guess it’s up to my readers to say if I have talent 😉

TEN: Where were you born?

Born, raised, still live in Nebraska

ELEVEN: What are your hobbies?

Playing video games on my Switch (Zelda games are my fave), board and other types of games when I’m with family, writing, reading, Supernatural/Jensen fandom stuff.

TWELVE: Do you have any pets?

Not any more - I just borrow snuggles from my son’s Yorkie 😊

THIRTEEN: How tall are you?

5′5′’

FOURTEEN: Favourite subject in school?

English was the easiest for me, but my favorite was algebra/geometry. Must be the puzzle-loving side of me.

FIFTEEN: Dream job

Right now I work from home full time, and that’s as good as it gets, I think - not having to drive to work, dress in office clothes, and all the social interaction that my introvert self hated. But I’d really rather be independently wealthy and spend all my time doing things I actually love doing without worrying about being able to pay my bills.

5. Estimate of how much of your art you post online vs. the art you keep for yourself

Oh I post SO MUCH of my stuff. The doodle dumps are to blame mostly. Thats gotta be an 80/20 ratio on stuff that sees the light of day. This website is my dumping ground and i will use it like a fucking landfill.

Here's an ANCIENT doodle of the actual canonical characters of this franchise for the trouble.

7. A medium of art you don't work in but appreciate

As per last ask, Comic artists! I do not have any will whatsoever to be stylistically consistent at all! I appreciate the people who can so many characters that many times AND convey a story. Cheers to that bro, could not be me.

8. What's an old project idea that you've lost interest in

I don't know about any other projects I've abandoned but here's a character I've abandoned! Kinda, not really. Its Death! Death WILL make an appearance in CC, in the finale, but they've gotten a redesign as of late so here's what they used to look like

Thye used to be VERY self-inserty, but now their gonna be a lot more god like and much more ambiguous. Just you wait til Lucy meets them in person >:)

12. Easiest part of body to draw

Hands! People say their hard, but I think I've done enough studies to where I can crank out a decent hand like nothing. Love drawing hands.

25. Something your art has been compared to that you were NOT inspired by

I don't remember ever receiving a direct comparison to something pertaining to my art 🤔 Now I'm curious as to what it reminds people of!

26. What's a piece that got a wildly different interpretation from what you intended

Most of my pieces are pretty straight forward. We do it for the sillies here. I'm really blanking on this one! I dont do too much hidden meaning in illustrations, if I want something to look cool im gonna try and make it cool. Not a lot to interpolate lol

30. What piece of yours do you think is underrated

Probably a tie between these two!

It's probably because i starred at both of them it until my eyes bled but I like em! The lighting on Mera and Kills and the rock bridge on the wild west one scratches my brain itches.

Hi Dani!! Hope you're doing well!!

I miss them, too. Especially Logan. I have no idea when I'll be able to return to those stories, but I do firmly intend to... someday. Core Drive WILL get finished if it's the last thing I ever do.

I don't have anything new to share for either Benj or Logan, but I did just find this in my cutting room file - a scene that never made it into CD from the morning after you met Logan at that wedding:

He’s still here. You had the thought before you could even open your eyes, the sunlight still managing to wake you through your closed lids. He...His scent hit you as you inhaled through your nose, and while it wasn’t as strong as it was when he’d draped his jacket around your shoulders the night before, it was almost more intoxicating to smell his cologne on his skin, muted by the sheets. He didn’t leave. Thought he’d- Your thoughts short circuited as you felt his touch slide over your hip and behind you to press to the small of your back, his fingers splaying out to palm your curves. Eyes flying open as your heart started pounding, you saw that his were still closed, saw that his breathing was still quiet and relaxed, even as he pulled himself closer to your body. He’s still asleep, he doesn’t realize that he-

“You tryin’ to leave this bed anytime soon?” You held your breath as he asked the question, his voice muffled by the pillow and still thick with sleep. Oh, shit. “You kickin’ me out?” Logan opened his eyes, narrowing them at you as he adjusted the arm he had beneath his pillow. Could anyone? Has anyone?

It got cut because I decided not to include the scene in the flashbacks, but it still very much happened in my HC for the story, so do with that what you will. ;)

"Hey, um, is this Miranda?"

"It is. Who am I talking with?"

Oh thank god, he was worried he saved the wrong number for a moment there. Danny hit his wrist against the side of the pipe again, the motion doing nothing to break the dampener off. "Cool, um. God. I feel so awkward calling you. It's Danny- um Daniel Fenton? I'm part of the Launchpad Program going on this summer with Wayne Industries? The, um, the like twenty or so high school interns and whatever?"

"Daniel," There was the click of typing and then a hum of recognition from Miranda. "I do remember you, you were the kid that tripped in the lobby and got a bloody nose his first day. Is there something wrong?"

"I, ah, how do I say this without sounding stupid-"

"Daniel, I had an intern call me the other day because she accidentally ended up locked in a custodial closet alone. Nothing phases me."

"Oh, okay. Um, I kinda got kidnapped. Just a little bit." This time, when he tried to bash the dampener off, there was a crack from the bone, followed by blossoming pain when his powers couldn't flood in to heal it. "Also, I think I'm in shock."

"…Previous point withdrawn."

ha. ha ha ha. the irony of this line is incredible. what's so striking to me is how one dimensional the realm's understanding of eddard stark as an honourable man is - honour itself is an incredibly complicated and unattainable ideal in asoiaf and i think ned as the stereotypical emblem of it encompasses many of the reasons why. because whilst he absolutely does consider acting in a conventionally honourable way important, he always prioritises those he loves. he defended cat's actions as his own without a second thought when she arrested tyrion. his main priority in king's landing is to see his daughters safe, not to secure the succession. lyanna is the prime example: jon's existence is not the result of the lapse of honourable ned stark, it was honourable ned stark choosing his love for his sister over his duty to his king. that and his personal ethical belief that the political murder of a child is never morally acceptable.

no one in the realm has the insight into his personality we get in the first book. none of his children, vitally, understand that he would always prioritise their safety over any honourable scruples. all of the starklings question what their honourable father would think of their actions - killing in self-defence, marrying jeyne westerling, sleeping with ygritte to name a few examples - without recognising that ned's true first priority was always his family's safety.

in fact, he betrayed robert far more than he ever betrayed cat and he would have betrayed honour for his family's safety every time.
