The therapist and I have been working on pinning down how I'm going to actually use therapy and came to an agreement that probably the issue I was struggling with was emotional regulation, and I said "Okay, so the problem is if you google something like 'how to feel stuff less' or 'stop feeling stuff faster' you just get a lot of nonsense and clickbait."

And she laughed and said she'd have to try that search but she'd send me some links to vetted articles that would be more helpful. And I'm reading the articles today ahead of therapy tomorrow (I only got them yesterday) and uh.

Well, the good news is that this isn't the first time I've read them. The unfortunate news is that they're by and large what I dismissed as clickbait.

If I had the money, I think I'd just go back to school for some kind of degree in the biochemistry of ADHD, because there must be something beyond "have you tried feeling things less" and "when you're upset, imagine a nice forest".

Then again if I had that kind of money it wouldn't actually be an issue anyway, so I suppose here we are. Should have married rich.

i like to think once yosuke gets over the whole undead roommate thing he starts to feel bad for leaving yu at home all day. (like a pet dog.....) so at some point he invites chie and yukiko over. maybe it’s a study session. but at first yukiko can’t make it so it’s just chie. yosuke tells yu to stay put in the room since chie is scared of ghosts (just like yosuke she’ll never admit it though lol). chie says that she and yukiko have been working on a new recipe and offers to cook which yosuke shoots down Very quickly, offering to cook himself, since a "friend" of his has been teaching him-- he very conveniently leaves out the whole undead roommate thing. but when he’s preparing the food he accidentally cuts his finger. yu forgets what he’s told and rushes through the walls into the kitchen scaring chie on accident.

Olexiy Arestovych recently came out as one of the sources Shuster spoke with. For an average person Arestovych is just a former speaker. But his less known lore is that Arestovych is a self-described exorcist; he has several scandals with ukrainephobic narratives; he has on several occasions spread straigt up russian propaganda about the war; and one of his recent scandals was a leak from his private seminar, in which he shared his opinions that, I quote, "a natural desire a man has towards a woman is to choke her, I mean of course fuck her first, but then choke, and keep your hands on her neck for several hours to be sure that that thing is really dead".

Sharing this tidbit just to give you a prespective of the quality of Shuster's "sources" and, as a consequence, Time's journalistic standards.

The explanation for why totk’s story is so Not Great and how disconnected from its predecessor it feels being that the devs didn’t want to alienate new players who didn’t know anything about botw’s story just falls apart the more I think about it. Nothing from this stupid half a plot works unless the player is familiar with specific details from the better games that came before it.

The believability of Link and Zelda’s connection to each other hinges on you knowing about the nuance of their relationship in botw. The ancient sages fighting with the champions’ arms and divine beast helms will only be impactful to botw/aoc players because totk doesn’t bother to explain the significance of that callback at all. Fi’s cameo is meaningless unless you either got every memory in botw or finished the master trial dlc (and know about her from skyward sword). You’ll only get the full context of Teba being sidelined in favour of a 12-year old if you played a specific chapter of Age of Calamity’s second DLC. Like sorry but I think Nintendo just made a bad story tbh
