A trope I don’t see often is Danny as Klarion and Nabu’s dad. Can you imagine your normal summoning au, the JL want help with Klarion. He’s out of control! He seperate d the kids and adults into seperate worlds, joined the Light, and is an overall pest. So they summon the Ghost King, expecting him to get rid of Klarion for them. But the JL has a big problem that they didn’t see beforehand. Not only will Danny not help the JL, he proclaims them as a team of Order and that the world needs more chaos. So he helps Klarion to be a pest, and causes chaos, the only way a Fenton can. This makes the JL super upset, but they can’t do a damn thing about it, because Danny is as powerful as God and can sense the JL/YJ/TT before they even get close to him and vanishes, to reappear on the other side of the world in the next second. Rinse and repeat.

DPxDC Quest for Darkseid

OKAY BASICALLY idea/prompt is Danny is the only Danny across dimensions and timelines. Apparently our danny wasn't even suppose to live but become Phantom instead. So despite Dani and Dan existing, they're not Danny because neither were created by inter-dimensional plane. The space between the realm and the world.

Dan only half of Danny and Vlad, and Dani isn't a complete clone. Danny apparently doesnt live in any other timeline because of his transition into DAnny Phantom. Because only one can exist. after that terrifying revelation from Clockwork. CW even mentions how he cant even travel between dimensions that are not connected to his timeline, but he can interact with time users of different dimensions. ANYWHO all this expo just to explain.. that Danny is on par with another dimensional hopping being.. and if the dimension that being currently is in, fails to stop him... their dimension be next. And since Danny's dimension only has him, dan, vlad, and dani to really go head to toe with the guy, unlike this dimension with bunch of heroes and super powers... then Clockwork can see the dimension ending. And only Danny would be left of it. So Danny embarks on a journey to hunt this threat down and try to gain trust of the local heroes. Praying he doesn't fuck it up somehow. After of course having a mini meltdown over all this. Its fine.... right. Basically Danny only one of his kind and it seems that he is needed to help fight off darkseid for good. At least find a way to contain him. The heroes are not quick to warm up to Danny. And Danny has no idea what to do. Ooo imagine its the teen heroes that actually give Danny a chance/believe him.

If you were to ask Danny everything was going great in life. He and Danielle were traveling together causing chaos where ever they went. They definitely weren’t running.

The Giw was most certainly not hunting them down.

Jack and Maddie 100% accepted him being phantom. Like they knew it was him.

His parents definitely didn’t want to dissect him.

He totally didn’t loose contact with Jazz and his friends a week ago for no reason.

Definitely didn’t try and get back to amity only for a ghost shield to be around the town.

He was perfectly fine.

He and Danielle were great. Even meeting other teen heroes. There was a whole groups of these people. Which was cool and all. See the two of them were doing just great. No one could even tell something was wrong.

Yea. No one.

Meanwhile. The teen hero’s are very worried about the the new wandering definitely homeless on the run metas. Who were definitely not fine.

dp x dc prompt: snow white au

danny pulls away from his friends and family due to an incident where a ghost coming to challenge him for the throne almost killed jazz. he flees to the ghost zone and spends his time ruling the ghost zone - which is suprisingly chill, considering ghosts are used to ruling themselves. he could do without the paperwork - and helping clockwork set the timeline right when it is necessary. he is only ever out in his human form when he is travelling back in time.

on one occasion, he is about to go back to the ghost zone after handling an issue with the timestream in [insert distant time period there] in another dimension when he is stabbed in the back while he is in his human form. close to death, he freezes himself with his ice so he can be safe while he heals, waiting for clockwork to take him back. but the ghost of time never does what's expected of him: he puts danny in a time out and hides him from view.

eons later, a team of superheroes find a young man trapped in glowing ice with a green sticky note stuck next to his face saying it is time for the ghost king to wake up.

An idea I had for a Totk x Dc crossover

Rather than Zelda turning back from a dragon she gains an awareness of the fact she was Zelda and will be Zelda again when the time is right,

Link and Zelda both receive a message from the goddess that created their respective Triforce pieces, it essentially lets them know that they will be needed again in many, many years to fight alongside other heroes. Zelda as an immortal dragon will simply have to wait for the right time and continue to build her connection to the goddesses, Link on the other hand won’t live that long, upon learning all this Link is trying to figure out what to do when the secret stone in his hand thrums, reminding him of how Zelda will be getting to the future.

Link swallows the secret stone and becomes a dragon that waits patiently for his time to return.

Eventually many years later the world has forgotten Hyrule beyond myths and legends, the world is also full of hero’s and villains.

When old magic starts acting up a few (both bad and good) magic users start investigating, they find a legend about a hero and a princess who turned themselves into immortal beasts so they could save the world a third time in this incarnation, looking further into this legend the magic users start to try and figure out how to use it to help deal with (or in some cases control) the old magic.

Eventually Link and Zelda get turned back from dragons and start working with the JLA to help deal with and harness the old magic as well as protect whatever city claims the duo as their heros. At this point the duo have spent billions possibly trillions of years as dragons and are very, very powerful.

Depending on the universe they might join Young Justice or the Teen Titans or just join the league as fully fledged members depending on how old they are.

a rant/series of ideas

So I've posted these on SB before but to put it simply, the phandom is stagnant. The same ideas are repeated over and over again mixed up but too similar to tell apart. Over on ao3s dp crossover section I've noticed a ton of these stories are created after the author reads a prompt here so I figured I'd gather the posts I've made on SB and post them here in hopes those authors can see them. I'm just copy/pasting these so they will look weird as they were originally posted on SB and I can't be bothered to edit them.

So yall know how d.c. crossovers are really common. Well I just had a small idea to add to the list of why heroes don't usually kill, batman especially. Obsessions can help make ghosts and few people are more obsessed than villains, the heroes know this and don't want to risk powering up their rogue gallery more, especially since hell is real and as we saw with deathstroke/slade it's easy to make deals and return. Just another angle to add for those crossovers. Last thing anyone wants is a ghost/demon empowered joker running around.

We have tons of danny phantom dc crossovers but not a single one has Cujo join the super pets for adventures. This is a crime that should be rectified immediately. Best pup should be allowed to play with Ace and Krypto and fight animal crimes.

What aren't there any stories where danny is in the marvels zombies storyline, or dceased, or blackest night, or even the new dc vs vampires storyline.

Why are almost all horror stories about him being tortured when there are perfectly good zombie apocalypses he can fight in. I'd love to see danny wield a black lantern ring and be in total control because he's already dead and as such doesn't need to eat hearts to gain power.

I'd love to see danny get bite by a vampire only for them to taste what's basically deadmans blood. We need less secret sibling, torture filled, betrayal fics and more danny pulling a doomslayer and fighting trigons armies when he invades.

Pariah Dark pulling amity into the gz would have gotten international attention just like cannon. Something that's brought up but never really explored are meta humans rights clashing with the anti ecto laws, I'd love to see the various magic users testifying in congress, debunking the fentons beliefs that ghosts aren't people and as such deserve the same rights as everyone else.

Also I'd love to see walker put in control of arkham, blackgate, or Belle reve. He'd have those places on lockdown, and the thought of the joker trying to escape only for walker to toss him back in his cell is hilarious to me.

All these DC crossovers but not one shows an alternate danny in the justice lords, injustice, or crime syndicate version of the league.

I'm tired of rereading the same stuff, let me read about an evil crime boss danny or one who rules over the GZ like how the justice lords rule earth, or one that sides with superman after metropolis gets nuked. So many alternate worlds, timelines, and dimensions to choose from and they always pick the same ones.

Forget JLU, YJ, or TT let me see danny in the justice league dark apocalypse war movie as a trigon possed Dan Phantom and have him fight Darksied

The infinite realms is so underutilized in the dc crossovers, and just the phandom in general.

You have an entire dimension that can take you any when and anywhere you want/don't want and you don't use it to let superman meet his parents before krypton blows up, or any other orphan superhero for that matter.

Hell you don't have to save his family, you can set up a stable time loop where this meeting is what convinced them to send him to earth rather then any of kryptons dying colonies.

Have Pandora meet wonder women, I don't think I've seen anything more then a passing reference about her in any dc stories to date. The 4 armed ghost of a Greek Goddess would absolutely be something the Amazon's would want to meet.

I'd love to see more stories exploring the factions in the gz like make up a rivalry between the far frozen and Atlantis before the yetis died out and less stories about Lazarus pits being ectoplasm, and Danny bring the lover/secret brother to the entire bat clan.

Give me poison ivy possed by Undergrowth or the joker being terrorized by the box ghost because joker gas doesn't work on the dead. Hell weather wizard/ any other weather villain teaming up with vortex would be fun. Or have technus hijack brainiac/amazo, now that be a good threat.

Let's see Danny put on the helmet of fate and fight klarion because he's not at the same level as the cosmic forces of order and chaos rather then the gz being some super dimension that John "I sold my soul to 30 devils, 10 gods, an angel and a fae" Constantine is too scared to touch. Pariah was powerful, but he ain't Darkseid, Trigon, Child, or Nekron powerful.

Let's see more, superheroes deal with ghostly shit rather then Danny runs away/moves to Gotham for the 30th time. Like lets say the flash has to deal with Kitty and Johnny joy riding in Central city but he can't touch them or freakshow stops in Gotham and kidnaps Jason since the phandom is obsessed with making him a halfa or halfa adjacent. So much potential and none of it explored!

So, yall know how the phandom likes to make ectoplasm an emotional conduit. Where ghosts either can feel / feed on emotions and ectoplasm can have emitions without being a ghost, usually when talking about the pit rage Jason has in the DC stories. Well, let's roll with that and add the Emotional Entities that the lantern corps use.

If ghosts feed on emotions then the lanterns are basically walking snacks, if they sense emotions then the lanterns are walking flash bangs, and if ectoplasm can have emotions then let's have some ghosts get lantern rings simply because they are emotions given physical forms.

Also, yall know how the Danny defeats pariah and becomes king stories are a whole thing, why doesn't that apply to Dan?

Rant/prompt ideas done for now but I have so many more. Let's bring some life back to this half dead phandom.

Well, I really wasn't supposed to be working on Abnormality, my Teen Titans/Young Justice crossover fic, yet here we are, 26 pages deep with no end in sight. I swear, you get just a little spark of inspiration and think, Oh, I'll write some of this, just a tad bit to tide me over for now, and the next thing you know, BOOM. 26 motherfuckin' pages of character interaction. None of which works as the actual intro to the story. Alas.

Here's a sneak preview of what I've written so far!

The third day after her argument with the boy who was honestly taking up way too much of her mental real estate, Tara succumbed to the groaning urge inside of her to go to the beach. As she sat in her usual spot with her legs crossed primly, absentmindedly dusting white granules of sand off her knees, she told herself, furiously and repeatedly, that she was just here because she really, really liked the beach. She very deliberately did not ignore the spot where the boy usually stood (or at least had usually stood, before Tara scared him off like a douchebag), because she did not need to deliberately ignore that with which she was not concerned.

Yep.

To her right, all the usual suspects were playing, frolicking, romping, and generally having a good time on the seemingly endless expanse of sun-soaked sand and surf. Tara tried to play little mental games with herself, picking out bathing suits of the same color, finding similar patterns in the nylon, counting how many brightly colored plastic beach pails she could see, but her attention kept crawling away from her like ants under an overturned rock, scattering away from the intrusive light. She huffed an exasperated sigh, and, with all the hesitancy of someone who was dead certain she was about to look into the face of Satan himself, peeked with one barely opened eye at the boy’s usual spot.

He was there.

Tara gasped so violently she choked on her own air supply and spent the next several moments hacking up all the saliva her body had ever produced. Once she was done embarrassing herself in public, she cleared her throat and pushed herself to her feet, clearing the seat of her shorts of sand. She stuck her nose in the air and thrust her shoulders back like a goddamn queen as she approached the boy, who had taken up his usual post: shoulders hunched, hands in pocket, staring at the horizon as the ocean lapped at his ankles.

She stopped just behind him. She waited for him to notice her presence and turn around and glare at her. But either he didn’t notice her this time or he was deliberately ignoring her. Either way, it looked like it was up to her to initiate the conversation this time around. Great.

Blinking rapidly, Tara tried to come up with something savvy to say, but all that came to mind was “Hey, sorry for acting like a total dickbag the other day, wanna be friends?” Oh, yeah, that would go over like a ton of freaking bricks. Finally, she just cleared her throat, wincing a little when the boy visibly flinched in surprise and whipped around to look at her like she was a monster come to eat his soul.

“Um,” she said. “Hey.”

The boy exhaled forcefully through his nose, like an agitated bull. He turned his back to her and addressed the horizon. “What?” he muttered.

“Um,” Tara said articulately. It occurred to her that the need she felt to apologize was really irrational, considering the boy had been the one who was rude first the other day. Still, she didn’t know what else to say to get this conversation rolling, so she said plainly, “Listen, I’m sorry about the other day. I didn’t mean to, like… freak you out or anything. I promise I really wasn’t watching you. I just thought you might be lonely, so I decided to come over and say hi.”

The boy’s shoulders hunched further. It was a very slight motion, so minute she would have missed it had she not been watching him like a hawk, but combined with the words that came out of his mouth just then, it was rather telling. “I’m not lonely.”

Tara shrugged, able to sense that he wasn’t going to budge on this issue—and knowing it wasn’t really her place to push it anyway. “Okay,” she said, with no hint of judgment or incredulity. “Still, I just figured you could use some company. Um.” A thought struck her. “My name’s Tara.”

The boy was silent for a very, very long stretch of seconds. Tara was just beginning to think he was ignoring her when he said, so quietly it was nearly carried away on the sea breeze, “Jason.”

Imagine one of these girls accidentally waxing Ophelia's eyebrows off, getting chased around the mountain, being hunted everywhere they go, and having their head shaved bald off of their hair by Ophelia for payback. This was inspired by Jade West and Cat Valentine from Nickelodeon's Victorious. By the way, the younger boys will most likely hiding one of these ladies while Conner, Kaldur, Victor, and Nathan hold Ophelia back from killing them with that exact pair of murderous scissors from "The Scissoring" from Nickelodeon's Victorious.

I know I know this fic, but I'm sick and cannot focus (it took me three tries to type 'focus just now) so imma leave this here...

There's a scene in a fic, where Tim, as Robin is fighting with his team, and Conner is there and they retreat to a lab of some kind to recuperate and do first aid, and Dick (as Nightwing) shows up with his team (including Starfire) to help them kick ass. I coulda sworn it was a crossover. Possibly Harry Potter??

I'm thinking about it, and I think the team was greeted by goblin healers, and this was a Dumbledore bashing fic, as the team fight him next. Or rather, prevent him (and Severus and Tonks?) from getting Harry when they flew into the city on broomsticks.

See, under normal circumstances, you can totally tell a story in a non-linear way. Skip ahead a year and move on. Only reveal what happened in that year later on, or what brought the time-skip on to begin with.

But. Not. Not in a comic. Not. No. Just no.

I am currently reading Outsiders Vol 3 and all of a sudden, it was a year later, the team was different, people were missing, new people were on the team.

I wasted more time than I should trying to investigate if there was some kind of crossover event that I have missed out on, or if they cameoed on another run and development happened over there, before I just gave up and continued reading. And, lo and behold, the next volume explains why we’ve moved forward.

Again, it can be a good tool in storytelling. But not in the DC universe, where they are just notorious for gigantic world-shifting and hard to comprehend crossover events, or throwing in a mini-series that takes place in the middle of a run, or writing a spin-off that explains what happens with characters.

This is not a non-linear storytelling friendly environment. No, sir.

#seriously I was three volumes into Teen Titans #when I realized that there was a three issue mini-series #that took place BETWEEN this and Young Justice #that actually explains why the team disbanded #NONE of these comics pointed me in the Graduation Day direction #so how was I supposed to know #so I just. assume there are mini-series-spin-off-crossover-events when I don't understand something at this point in time #DC Comics #Phoe Reading DC

Who do you think are the counterparts of the Brotherhood of Mutants and H.I.V.E Five, my are Gizmo to Toad, Jinx to Wanda, Mammoth to Blob, but some are hard to make out.

I'd say those seem pretty good counterparts, though I'm not sure about Toad and Gizmo. I actually did a post last year about the counterparts of Teen Titans and X-Men: Evolution, as well as some from Young Justice.
