band director: *playing a chord on the piano to demonstrate a theory thing*
student: wait play that again
band director: *plays it again*
student: *plays You'll Be Back from Hamilton.* the opening chord is the same one you just played.
band director: huh. *plays it again.* now i hear it. it even sounds like the same voicing of the chord.
band director: I’ll actually argue that that’s the only memorable song in hamilton but i shouldn’t get into another argument, not after yesterday
band director: and that one wasn’t even music related. Jeez

i love how in heroes of olympus, there’s a boat full of couples (+leo☺️). and yet even if you didn’t know when each couple started dating, it’s so blatantly obvious that percy and annabeth have been together the longest, and are the most serious
cause frank and hazel are still pretty nervous/unsure with each other. they JUST started dating, and are so pure and adorable. they just haven’t quite figured out the romance part yet
and jason and piper have their moments, but they’re just so… distant. like not physically, of course, but they just don’t really seem to connect on a deep level. and they aren’t super affectionate, at least not physically or openly. piper is constantly unsure about where they’re at, and while jason has thoughts about how great piper is, he doesn’t openly show his feelings too often.
but percabeth? they’re the oldest in age (physically), have known each other the longest, and have been romantically committed to each other for the most time. they act like they’ve been together for eternity, which is funny since they were technically only dating for 4 months before percy got abducted. but they just have such a deep history together and such an intense connection. they’re in it for the long run. there’s no doubt or uncertainty - and it shows. like…annabeth is so wife girlfriend. there are so many funny/cute little moments, like her scolding him for putting too much syrup on his pancakes, and telling him to take a shower when he smells bad. and when percy suggests him and jason should go on a dangerous quest instead of annabeth and piper, instead of being like “omg he cares so much about me😍” (which hazel and piper would have done) annabeth is like “what seaweed brain?? you think two guys can do better than two girls??” and percy is immediately like “uh uh NO nope i definitely do NOT think that!!” he knows better. the immediate fear is so husband boyfriend of him. they simultaneously have the most disagreements (remember when percy called annabeth out when she thought she should navigate through rome alone, and basically called her stupid for thinking it was a good idea, and then they argued and had a face-off, which percy won) - while also being the most lovey dovey (they’re constantly putting their hands on each other - annabeth putting her hand on his chest to calm him down, putting their hands on each other’s arms for support, percy having his arm around her when they’re at the edge of the ship, always giving each other a kiss on the mouth or the cheek when they separate, etc). and they have no issues sneaking off in the middle of the night to do some talking and kissing. and quite frankly, making out in front of piper in BoO (remember that? when piper got super uncomfortable at how long their kiss was lasting, and then annabeth let out, and i quote, “grunt-whimpers”). they are just so natural and comfortable with each other. piper says it herself.
i just think it’s so funny. little frazel being adorable and blushing when they hold hands, jiper is happy to be dating but they’re also a little angsty and uncertain, and then there’s percabeth just being the old married couple they are. (and leo is being cute and fixing stuff)

invisible string- oneshot
a/n: hihi!!! song inspo here :D holy cow this feels like the longest thing i've written (it's not...)
-> lewis hamilton x fem!reader, no physical descriptions of reader
warnings: none, roscoe hamilton is a king.
masterlist
word count: 1,347 words
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Of course you had heard of the 'invisible string' theory.
In today's day and age, it was a widely discussed phenomenon. You had no way of knowing whether or not the theory was actually true, mostly due to the fact that you'd never experienced it yourself.
Quite obviously, you wanted true love. You wanted to find your soulmate. But sometimes, life just isn't the way you cut it out to be, and you can't always get what you want. Like they say, 'life isn't perfect'.
And that's what you thought, until you'd met Lewis.
He comes into your life unexpectedly.
It's not that you don't want love in your life, but you're just not actively pursuing it, you tell yourself. Yet, a deep part within you says that love is something you truly yearn for. All these years, you've watched your friends go through heartbreak, then, you've watched them recover, then meet their soulmates, and eventually get married. You can't help but feel a deep sense of longing for what others seem to have, but you can never seem to find. To you, it seems like everybody's falling in love, but you're simply falling behind.
When you and Lewis meet, you're not really anything romantic. It's purely platonic. You tell yourself that you're not looking for a relationship, and little do you know, he's thinking the same thing.
Nevertheless, you nor Lewis voice your thoughts about this. You choose not to say it because it would be a blatant lie, and you don't want to lie to someone who you've made a friendship with based on trust and honesty. Truthfully speaking, you think that you're not saying anything because you're afraid of rejection, heartbreak, and ruining an arrangement that's simply perfect as it is.
Lewis doesn't like lying to you either. He knows that you're not acquainting yourself with him because of his fame or his money, but he's been used for both things repeatedly on multiple separate occasions, so he threads on thin ice around you. Or, that's what he said to himself at the beginning. He can't help but let loose around you. Just by talking, you make him comfortable. He feels like he could tell you about every woe in the world that he's had, and you would know precisely how to console him. He just can't help but feel at ease in your presence, and days with you are the best. But the two of you are just friends, he tells himself. Yeah, bullshit.
You don't really know much about cars, but you knew that Lewis worked in the industry. As he talked about more, you could tell how passionate he was about it, so one night, you set aside the time to read up on the topic. Of course, the subject was really versatile, and there was a lot to read on, and you nearly fell asleep sitting up, but you could tell it made him happy, and you wanted more ways to connect with him.
Naturally, Lewis was elated when you began to show more interest in cars. Not motorsports, but just the technical aspects of how cars worked. Who best to talk with than the person you liked most about the thing you were most passionate about?
The more the two of you talked, the more the two of you talked.
But of course, everything was purely "platonic".
So if it was platonic, why did you find yourself longing for his presence when he wasn't there? Was it really quote-unquote "friendly" behaviour for someone to be gifting you morbidly expensive gifts when you mention it in passing? Was it really normal for you to miss someone that much when they're away? When he was gone for work stints, you would find yourself subconsciously thinking about his toothy grin, or his wheezy laugh, or his beautiful, beautiful eyes....
The same thing went for him. When he was away at work, it took him every ounce of self-restraint for him not to be constantly messaging you, or asking what you're doing, but hey, if he did that, he would just be a caring friend... right?
You can still remember the very moment you knew you were in love with him, for sure.
The lingering doubt had always been there. Would you want to risk the best friendship you had for feelings that may not even come to fruition? But in that moment, you decided you would. Eventually. When you got the guts to do it.
The moment was quite mundane, actually. It was something as trivial as your birthday. Something which happened yearly, but it was something that he made absolutely magical.
The night starts with Lewis cooking dinner for you. It's all your favourite dishes, and you realise, he remembers.
When it's time for you to open your plethora of gifts from him, the first present you open is a stack of all your favourite books. Then it's records from your favourite artists. The list goes on and on, but all of the gifts you receive are things you've mentioned in previously, but simply in passing. You realise he remembers.
Singlehandedly, he'd put more care and thought than anyone else ever did. Yes, maybe the things he had gifted you might've been simple in anyone else's eyes, but sentimentally, his gifts meant a lot to you, and he knew.
He knows that he's in love with you when it's your birthday.
It wasn't really a struggle to choose what to get you. He had all the money he needed at his dispense, and he'd picked up on your prior conversations,; the things you loved and you hated.
Nonetheless, he's still slightly nervous when you open the gifts.
What if it wasn't enough? What if you didn't like it?
But from the look on your face, he can tell that you absolutely adored it. He knew that he loved you in that moment because no one had ever showed that much enthusiasm to the thought he put into things. Whether it be a simple note, or the most expensive watch money could buy, no one had really cared. But with such simplistic things, you did.
From then on, he knew that you were his soulmate. You weren't materialistic, nor were you too cold. You were like the fire to his ice, the yin to his yang.
So when he tells you he likes you, in a way that would imply that your relationship would shift to something more than friendship, you more than indulge him.
Your relationship is nothing but looks, gentle touches, soft kisses, and a shared admiration for each other.
It's a Sunday morning when he tells you that he loves you.
The two of you are tangled in bedsheets in your shared London flat. It's dawn, and the sunlight is beginning to peek through the curtains. You're curled into his chest, basking in his presence for just a moment before he has to leave. Your grip on him is steel tight, and your face is buried into his neck. He places gentle kisses on your forehead, and runs his fingers through your hair in a soothing motion. When he really needs to get up, he rubs your back in circles and tucks you into the sheets. In a drowsy, half-asleep state, you lazily move your arms into his direction, and he does nothing but chuckle as he sits by your side on your bed. "I'll be back before you know it," Lewis promises you, voice still raspy from sleep, "I love you."
Your heart skips a beat. You throw yourself at him and you swear that you never want to let him go. "I love you too." You whisper, kissing his cheek and embracing him even tighter than before. He places a kiss on your forehead, and gently shuts the bedroom door behind him. As soon as he's gone, Roscoe is more than happy to take Lewis' stead in cuddling you.
Little did you know, no, Lewis did not go to work, he went to look at engagement rings.

My take on the Final Fifteen
To Aziraphale, I don’t think the choice was “stay with Crowley on Earth” or “leave Crowley for Heaven.” I think the choice was “go to Heaven with Crowley” or “go to Heaven without Crowley.” In other words,
Tumblr media
“No” wasn’t an option (to Aziraphale) (gif is not mine).
From the coffee shop scene where the Metatron orders coffee from Nina:
Metatron: “Do people ever ask for death?”
Nina: “What?”
Metatron: “The name of your establishment, ‘Give me coffee or give me death’ - I assume they always ask for coffee?”
Nina: “They don’t ever ask for death, no.”
Metatron: “I don’t suppose they do. So predictable.”
Death isn’t an option. “No” isn’t an option. Not to Aziraphale, who goes along with Heaven as best he can.
With Job, there was wiggle room to bend the rules and interpret things in Job’s behavior. Aziraphale lied but he didn’t outright refuse anyone. Technically, Crowley was the one who made the trick happen. Aziraphale only affirmed it.
During the Final Fifteen, Aziraphale had effectively just started a war. To quote Crowley, “Heaven won’t like that.” Then Voice of God personally came down and, rather than issuing a punishment for using his halo, the Metatron told Aziraphale he would be the new Supreme Archangel.
If God (or God’s voice) says so, then it must be. Aziraphale IS the new Supreme Archangel. The Supreme Archangel must reside in Heaven, so Aziraphale will go to Heaven. For an angel, there is no choice in that. I doubt it crosses Aziraphale’s mind that refusal mighty be an option. There is no option.
Aziraphale’s time on Earth is up. Maybe that is how he sees it. Nothing lasts forever, and he has to go. I doubt he wants to go alone though.
Tumblr media
(gif still not mine)
If Crowley came with him, that would make Heaven more bearable. Making Crowley into an angel again might not be an “I can fix you” but a “this is the only way we can stay together.” It is not within Aziraphale’s new jurisdiction to refuse the call of the Lord, but it is within his jurisdiction to give a call of his own. I doubt any angel has the power to make a demon an angel again, so the Metatron was probably banking on the fact that Crowley doesn’t trust Heaven and would never willingly return there, but I also doubt Aziraphale knew that.
If you approach this from a perspective of no alternative, no choice for Aziraphale to stay or leave, only the choice for Crowley to join him or stay behind, then the response to “tell me you said no” was a very honest and genuine “I couldn’t.” Not because Aziraphale values Heaven over Crowley, but because he has no choice in the matter. He IS going to Heaven. He doesn’t see a way out of that.
Of course, Crowley does, and why wouldn’t he? He makes his ‘too late’ love confession, and when that doesn’t work outright, he tries to convince Aziraphale that he has a choice, that he can refuse, that he should refuse, that he ought to refuse.
One of the things I learned in a public speaking class (shoutout to Donna) is that if you’re trying to persuade someone, you can’t expect to get them to swing from one extreme to another. You have to know where your audience stands on the issue and aim to move them one, maybe two degrees towards your side at a time. If you want to change someone’s mind the easy way (talking to them instead of forcing them through an experience that changes their perspective), you have to go slow and steady. If you try to argue someone from one extreme to another, then all you’re likely to do is push them even further away from the stance you want them to take.
This was not a slow and steady persuasion. This was a last-ditch attempt at a long shot. Aziraphale had just started to separate himself from Heaven, enough that he stopped Armageddon with Crowley, but he wasn’t completely detached from them. They still sent Muriel to watch him, which implies that he’s still under Heaven’s control, even if he has gone rogue.
Aziraphale doesn’t see staying behind as an option. He cannot do it, it will not happen. He spends all that time trying to convince Crowley to come with him because that it is the only thing that will make this inevitable future bearable. He must go to Heaven, he will go to Heaven. When Crowley asks him if he said no, he doesn’t respond because this isn’t something he can say no to. It doesn’t occur to him, and he doesn’t consider any possibility…
…until Crowley kisses him.
Tumblr media
This is only one example. He keeps turning around, keeps looking back. THAT is one step in the right direction. THAT was enough to make him hesitate, to wonder if maybe he could choose not to go to Heaven and that maybe he should. One fabulous kiss and now, all of a sudden, he’s second-guessing himself.
He still goes, but in the elevator, the Metatron tells Aziraphale about the Second Coming. Crowley figured this out earlier, and Aziraphale knows it now. That final look? Well, they both know how Crowley thinks the Big One will end. Heaven and Hell against Humanity.
In order for Crowley to succeed at stopping the Second Coming, Aziraphale would have had to stay with him. In order for Aziraphale to succeed at thwarting the Second Coming, Crowley would have had to come with him. They probably both feel like the other is abandoning them in their greatest time of need.
Here’s the thing, though: Aziraphale may be Supreme Archangel now, but he was Guardian of the Eastern Gate first and foremost. Aziraphale might stand by and watch Heaven and Hell fight, but the second Heaven turns against Humanity, ohhhhhh it’s over. He was only willing to kill Adam because he thought the rest of Humanity’s survival depended on it. He knows humans kill each other and die all the time, but the last time he’s watched a holy or unholy being kill people was the Flood, and that was God Herself doing it. If his captors fellow angels start killing humans as collateral for the Second Coming, then that will knock him over the edge.
And Heaven doesn’t want that. The Metatron gets Aziraphale in line before the Second Coming starts. If Aziraphale and Crowley team up (you know, the angel and demon who tried to subtly perform a double-half-miracle and instead produced a 25 Lazari smoke signal), it’s over. The day Heaven loses their grip on Aziraphale is the day Heaven loses.
Tumblr media
I think Crowley’s kiss worked better than he thinks it did. It made Aziraphale doubt, and it walked him one step closer to turning around. Aziraphale’s protective Principality nature will take care of the rest, and as soon as Aziraphale realizes he has a choice, we all know the choice he will make. Crowley is an optimist. He’ll be there when Aziraphale figured it out.
He’ll be pissed off, but he’ll be there. They both will. Crowley is still on Their Side. My guess is that Aziraphale will go radio silent for an episode or so before he sabotages Heaven so bad that the only way they can recover is by teaming up with Hell. The second Crowley sees Heaven’s plan going up in flames, he’ll know his angel is behind it. He’ll know Aziraphale is on Their Side again.

face in my hands. listen to me. no just. just listen. like. i think on the whole fandom tends to heavily mythologize what certain songs are "about" despite this never being solidly confirmed to be the case and fob (pete in particular) generally try not to say without question What Songs Are About because they want people to take whatever meaning they can from it. but from now on we are enemies is one of the exceptions to this rule to a very limited extent and by that i mean that on two separate occasions, during the hiatus, patrick and pete shared a little bit of what the song was about on twitter, independent of one another.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
if you haven't seen the film amadeus it's about a rivalry between two historical composers, wolfgang amadeus mozart and antonio salieri. salieri loathes mozart and finds him supremely childish and annoying...but also irritatingly brilliant beyond words. salieri obsesses over wanting to see mozart fail and even plans on killing him, but they do eventually form a friendship. then mozart gets sick and dies. salieri essentially breaks and loses his mind and years down the line will claim that he murdered him.
the name of the song, "from now on we are enemies," is a direct quote from the film. but it's not talking about mozart. it's a furious diatribe that salieri flings at god himself. he's so wildly and deliriously envious of mozart that he feels like this is divine punishment and so he declares god his mortal enemy for bestowing mozart with such brilliance. from now on we are enemies, you and i.
this is, i should note, one of the last songs fall out boy wrote before the hiatus. this and "alpha dog" were considered "new" for the believers never die greatest hits compendium, but alpha dog was technically debuted before folie released, on the welcome to the new administration mixtape. then fall out boy went on hiatus and there was no guarantee of return.
like i dont know what to say about this song that hasnt already been said. its fucking deranged as all get out ill tell you that much. its fucking unhinged that this song, this song with this central thesis statement, is one of the last songs you wrote together as a band before going your separate ways without any guarantee that you would reform again. and it's THIS. IT'S THIS SONG. a song that laments about whether anyone will remember you when you're gone (reminds me of flu game, reminds me of so much (for) stardust the title track, reminds me of .... so many of the themes inherent to their eighth studio album. actually.), and a song that practically lays out its inspiration for all to see. for a band that seldom if ever discloses with actual intent the Meaning behind their songs, this is a song that discusses a HIGHLY FRAUGHT ARTISTIC RELATIONSHIP and it's hard, it's real damn hard, to see anything but what is clearly all on display. composer but never composed (patrick has always considered himself a composer first and foremost). singing the symphonies of the overdosed (pete played a song that was named after the drug he tried to overdose on with his band mere nights earlier). i'm just a man on a balcony singing no one will ever remember me (again there's the fear and dread about the legacy you leave behind just before the band goes their separate ways).
can't fucking lay out the sheer psychological damage this does to my soul just thinking about this. they played MISS MISSING YOU the night before. just, you know, one of the other Songs that's so hard to disentangle from the hiatus because of the way it was written (patrick wrote the music while making soul punk, felt like it wasn't for him, and set it aside...despite there being, again, NO guarantee that the band would ever reform at this point, and then the song was only completed once fall out boy decided to come back, with joe and andy adding instrumentation and pete adding the lyrics) and whose music video features patrick and pete literally KILLING EACH OTHER. from now on we are enemies. i need to walk into the ocean. i need to lie down. im inconsolable.

OT7: Tongue Tied (Intro)
Tumblr media
In which you're not supposed to be the solution for all of the problems- but maybe you're just that; the missing piece.
Tags/Warnings: SFW, Hybrid!BTS x Hybrid!Reader, Wolf!BTS, Dog!Reader, strangers to ???, fluff, some angst, insecurities & very openly emotional reader
Length: long
A/N: the next chapters will, one by one, focus more on each member getting closer to the mc.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
"She will stay in a separate space we've been renovating for her at the company building." The manager says, well aware that the seven boys are very much not on board with the whole plan. "So you'll basically just have to interact with her for the camera and on certain schedules. Listen, I know you don't like the idea but it's the best way of making you guys seem.. less.. dangerous, after all that happened." He carefully phrases.
Jungkook scoffs. Namjoon clenches his jaw at that reaction, ready to scold. Taehyung sighs, tired of the constant fighting.
It was something the company had been fearing for quite some time now. And now, it's come to a point where even the public has noticed the growing tensions within the hybrid band- everyone on edge, easily irritated by each other. Originally, everyone had always thought it would be fine if they 'grew up' alongside each other, especially with Jungkook having been so young when he joined the company and group. But it didn't really matter down the line, it seems like, because by now, the air is constantly thick with frustration.
For the fans all over the world, the group full of hybrids, a somewhat traditional 'packing wolves, has been nothing but perfect and a shining representation of how far hybrids can come nowadays in terms of reaching success and wealth. But behind closed doors, it's headaches, fights, arguments and stress for everyone involved.
From trying to somehow keep track of their heats to re-scheduling things over and over again because the person interviewing or hosting at the event might be an unmated hybrid that could set off any of the guys at just a glance. They're all of a category two, technically independent and mostly human- but sometimes, staff would like to argue against that. Jungkook and Jimin can be harder to control than a horde of toddlers sometimes, while Yoongi and Namjoon are sometimes just plain scary. Taehyung literally does what he wants together with Seokjin, and Hoseok usually keeps to himself. Its all a mess, really.
Especially now that the cracks had begun to show to the public as well.
"Why a category five though?" Jin argues from the side. "You've been complaining about us for years now. And we're the most 'normal' one might say." He air quotes as he speaks.
"If they see you being kind to a category five like her-" the manager explains himself, "-they highly likely will calm down."
"Or start letting their frustrations out on her." Namjoon disagrees. "If they smell just a hint of any of us liking her in any way they'll go rabid."
"So what? It's not like she'll properly understand the situation, or talk about it to anybody." The manager shakes his head. "She will live at the company building, like I said. That's top security around her twenty-four-seven, and she will also have regular caretakers- staff will look after her for you, you don't have to interact with her at all apart from scheduled activities. It'll be fine." He tries, and everyone sighs.
Well- it's not like they've got the last word either way.
---
Jungkook is a sensitive person.
Not as in weak, but as in, his senses are very much sharp enough to notice even the slightest changes in something. And so when the first furniture is delivered, first boxes with what he assumes to be the new hybrid's personal items, there's something in the air he can't quite put a finger on.
"Oh, Jungkook-ssi!" One of the staff almost runs into him, as he stands alone in the dark and rather small space you'll be living in soon. "I almost locked you in. Is there something you need?" She asks, and he shakes his head.
Something about the faint scent of yours clinging to some of the items placed, like the blankets and pillows and stuffed animals, makes him wonder what will happen from now on. You're being used for higher gain- and in a way, he wonders if you'll know that, or if you're not able to understand the complexity of the situation like his managers had claimed. A category five doesn't mean you're mentally challenged, after all. You're just a bit more hybrid than he, or the rest of the guys are.
And somehow, it all just suddenly feels so fucked up to him.
"No, sorry, I just wanted to.. look around I guess." He offers the staff member who nods kindly, before he leaves to go home.
Somehow feeling a little heavy inside.
---
"Am I the only one who thinks this is fucked up?" Yoongi sighs as they all laze around in the living room area of the dorm they share. "We don't even know where the fuck they get that hybrid from."
"With the way they're talking about her it feels as if she must be from a carecenter or something alike." Seokjin offers from the side. "After all, they did mention that she needs help in looking after herself." He notes, and Taehyung chimes in at that.
"I mean I get the idea but.. it's still odd to 'use' her for that. And what if she doesn't even like us?" He shakes his head. "Category five's are pretty obvious in what they're thinking. It's not like they can just tell her to act the part."
Everyone falls silent at that. The wolf hybrid has a point here- if she doesn't play the part well, what will happen then?
"Well- not that I care." Hoseok announces, getting up. "And neither should you guys. We're getting paid to entertain people, nothing more." He simply mumbles to himself, leaving to go to bed. And he's probably right too- the less the guys think about what the situation means to you, the better. And done the line, the space given to you at the company building is definitely better than any shelter or carecenter you're probably currently residing at.
Jungkook however isn't convinced. He's still remembering that odd feeling he had earlier standing in between all those things that smelled like you.
And he's got a feeling that this whole 'plan' will probably not go the way they all planned it to.
---
Despite everyone's varying levels of interest in you at first, it's pretty clear that today, the date you'll be officially moving in, the entire pack is equally as eager to get a glimpse of you.
"Remind me why you're all in my studio?" Namjoon sighs, watching everyone camp out in his small space, both Jimin and Taehyung peeking out the door.
"They're here! There right there, they just brought them in-!" Jimin whispers sharply, and suddenly even Namjoon gets up to maybe catch a glance.
"She must be young." Taehyung mumbles, watching how an elderly woman in a 'Seoul Hybrid Care Project'-jacket holds your hand as you walk next to her. Your tail is a little curled and clearly one of a canine hybrid- your ears somewhat folded downwards.
"Maybe she's just short." Namjoon argues quietly, Jungkook pushing a bit to get a glimpse too. "I mean- if she was too young to attend late shows and schedule that would be pretty dumb wouldn't it?" He wonders, and the others hum in agreement, watching as your tail lowers, your mood visibly changing as soon as it's evident you'll be staying.
They all start to feel a little bad once they have to watch you cling to the caretaker- probably your only familiar person, who attempts to make you understand that you'll stay here now. It's the first taste of what you as a category five are like- there's no covering up your emotions whatsoever, you visibly and clearly make it known that you're not happy about this situation.
The only thing that soothes the pack a little it the sight of the staff gently wiping your tear stained cheeks before leading you into your new living space, door closing behind you. Though it's odd- because somehow, the entire pack feels closer than they've been in a few years by now, everyone equally both interested and mildly worried for you.
"Okay I can't be the only one who feels this though." Taehyung suddenly perks up, the ball of squeezed together wolf hybrids breaking up as they all get back into the studio, door closing. "Right?"
"She's a category five Taehyung!" Namjoon scolds.
At that, everyone falls silent for a moment.
Because while they can't deny what Taehyung mentioned was true-
Namjoon also had a point.
---
You are, in fact, not actually that young, merely months behind Jungkook.
And Seokjin's very sharp sense of observation tells him that you're not at all unaware of your surroundings whatsoever. It seems like you want to talk often but then remember something that makes you shut up before you can even open your mouth. You're however otherwise clearly aware of what's going on, interested and curious about things you don't know. It must be frustrating to not be able to voice out your thoughts, he thinks to himself, already wondering if there could be a different way of communicating with you.
Turns out you are indeed a domestic dog hybrid, chosen for your rather reserved but friendly nature. You've been born to a mother than wanted to stay anonymous, having given you up as a newborn pup at a shelter, presumably because you're the result of infidelity.
Taehyung is, to no one's surprise, the first one to try and interact with you in the practice room. You seem a bit hesitant at first but it's very clear that you're easily warming up to him, your tail wagging every time Jimin says something that makes Taehyung laugh. The two wolves are sitting close to you, and you seem alright with that, albeit a little shy.
Which is to be expected, considering its been barely a week since you moved into the company building, and you've also never really met them.
"What're you looking for, hm?" Taehyung wonders as he watches you search around for something. You look at him at that, unsure, like you're fighting internally with yourself.
"Maybe she's too shy to say it out loud?" Jungkook wonders, sitting down close to you as well now. "You wanna whisper it maybe?" He tries, leaning in and pointing to his hybrid ear-
And to everyone's surprise you do actually sit up on your knees, cupping your hands over his ears before you whisper something.
And of course, everyone is eager to know what it was, since it makes the youngest look so caught off guard, cheeks red as he gets up to fetch a bottle of water from a table nearby.
They distract themselves for the time being by starting to actually practice, occasionally watching your reaction to their choreography. Being watched by you is actually not that weird at all- if anything, it makes them all work a bit harder as if to impress you, underline their deaths as the perfect idols they are.
Though, at the end of the day, they're also just a pack of young wolves, and it's clear.
Jungkook let's himself fall onto his back close to you, huffing in exhaustion making everyone laugh. The air feels oddly light today, as if the stress isn't actually that bad this time around. And it's especially evident in the way everyone laughs when you reach out to pet Jungkooks head as if to tell him that he worked hard, making the idol shy again.
Maybe it wasn't such a bad idea after all.
---
It's your first public appearance.
Described to the public as a 'charity case', you've been somewhat officially shown in behind the scenes footage every now and then, many fans having already found some info on you from the internet. The reactions are mixed, but mostly positive- many claiming that the band and company are showing how kind the world can be by taking you in. It's probably because the company itself had made it clear that you do not actually live with the boys, but in a separate place with personal caretakers, eliminating the possibility of causing a dating rumor for now, though that might happen naturally at some point.
However, all is better than having to defend the guys fighting amongst each other like dogs over food.
The level of comfort around you varies amongst the members, which is to be expected- but it's already clear that you're very good at wrapping people around your little finger. Seokjin is holding your hand as they all walk through the airport together, and you never let go of it once, staying close to the oldest. He's become somewhat of a guardian figure for you- his calm and carefree attitude drawing you in.
He helps you buckle your seatbelt on the plane, and helps you out of your jacket like it's second nature, though he does roll his eyes at Hoseok commenting how he looks like a father. "Well at least I'm helping her, you all just ignore her or play around!" He scolds, tension rising when Taehyung starts to argue from the corner.
"Hey, no one asked you to play the part!" He barks. "We got staff for that.." he scoffs to himself, while Namjoon shakes his head.
"Guys please.." he begs quietly, though the barking doesn't die down.
"So we're just supposed to act like we care but toss her aside? How cruel is that?" Jin argues back, making Jungkook whine from close by.
"Hyung, don't shout like that-" He worries, and Seokjin is ready to really shout now, when Yoongi gets up and walks over to unbuckle your seatbelt. Only now does everyone take a moment to notice you quietly crying to yourself.
"Come on, I'll get you some tissues.." the wolf mumbles quietly to you, effectively removing you from the crossfire to have you sit next to himself instead.
It's quiet at that, except for the soft sound of you blowing your nose and whimpering a bit as Yoongi offers his silent support to you. Jin sighs as he sits back down, sound signaling the start of the flight.
It stays quiet like this until the seatbelts are allowed to be removed, an apologetic looking Jungkook walking up next to where Yoongi sits next to you. You're asleep already, having taken the rapper up on the silent offer to sleep on his lap, a pillow on his thighs offering comfort for your head. "M' sorry." The youngest mumbles quietly, running a hand over your head.
"We've got to stop, at least around her." Namjoon says, calmly. "Our pack issues are one thing, but unloading all that on her is just unfair."
"I didn't mean to shout like that.." seokjin sighs from his seat.
"And I didn't mean to get so angry either.." Taehyung apologizes.
"What's even wrong with us in the first place?" Hoseok asks, shaking his head to himself. "Its like we're just fighting these days, nothing else."
"Cause we do." Jungkook says, still petting your head. It's clear that the youngest is pretty attached to you already. "We're just complaining and arguing.." he mumbles softly, watching you sleep.
"Why.?" Jin asks himself mostly.
"Doesn't matter." Yoongi quietly offers. "But we gotta figure this shit out without getting her caught in the middle like that." He reminds everyone. "She can't talk and tell us to stop-"
"She can, though." Jungkook perks up, ears standing tall.
"What?" Namjoon is interested now. Category five hybrids typically don't talk.
"The water bottle on Tuesday. She told me what she wanted when I asked her to, you know, tell me quietly." Jungkook explains. "I think she's just- embarrassed, maybe?"
"Of what?" Hoseok wonders. "Talking in that category is impressive."
"Yeah but she- I guess she's got some trouble pronouncing words. She didn't say 'water' for example, but something like 'wadu'." He tells his packmates.
"Thats cute though." Taehyung laughs from his seat, the others chuckling as well. "Maybe at the center she got made fun of." He tries to justify.
"Could be." Namjoon nods. "But with some practice she could surely work on that issue. It would help tremendously if she at least communicates in single words." He says, and everyone agrees.
"You know.." yoongi smiles to himself, looking down on you still sleeping. "...I think she's doing something entirely different than just polishing our image already."
"Huh?" Hoseok asks.
"Dont you notice?" The rapper asks the pack. "Everytime it's about her, we agree. No fighting. We suddenly problem-solve and actually talk." He explains.
"...I-" Namjoon stares at you at that revelation, realizing it as well. "You're right."
Maybe you're not just a publicity stunt after all-
But an actual solution for the root of the problem.

Aang, Psychology, and the Concept of “Running Away” (A Breakdown Of Aang's Trauma Responses)
So, one thing that always kind of threw me off about atla was Aang's ignoration and dismissiveness of the things that have happened to him and continue to happen to him. He never seemed to have any kind of trauma response (besides nightmares).
Recently I've realized that the ignoration is Aang's trauma response, and it runs pretty fucking deep. Aang shows a lot of trauma responses but they are not as noticeable because Aang is also ridiculously good at emotional regulation, to a toxic point imo, and probably due to his upbringing by monks.
Aang, as is pretty well covered by the show, has a problem with trying to 'run away’ from his problems. This steadily stops happening as much throughout Book 2 (though he is learning in Book 1), but what's interesting is, while his tendency to physically run away from problems ends, his tendency to emotionally run away increases.
We go from Book 1 in which Aang confides in Katara about the separation from the monks, to Book 2 in which Aang literally actively rejects attempts at comfort in favor of an emotional shut down, to Book 3 where, after the failed invasion, Aang immediately tries just about anything he can to avoid talking about it.
He's not necessarily 'running away’. He still owns up to his duty and is right on the ball when Zuko shows up to teach firebending. It is not the work he shies from, it is specifically talking about the failure. This is Aang's main trauma response. Before I delve deeper into that though, I want to talk about Aang's other trauma responses that get bypassed thanks to his ability to ignore them.
Quoting ‘What is Child Traumatic Stress’, “Traumatic reactions can include a variety of responses, including intense and ongoing emotional upset, depressive symptoms, anxiety, behavioral changes, difficulties with attention, academic difficulties, nightmares, physical symptoms such as difficulty sleeping and eating, and aches and pains, among others.”
Aang shows almost all of these at one point or another, and typically they show themselves when he finds himself incapable of mentally 'running away.’
Intense and Ongoing Emotional Upset:
I'm mostly eyeing the avatar state episodes. His immediate reaction to traumatic events he is helpless to is explosive anger, but it fails to be ongoing because it is immediately followed by a shut down.
- Aang on Zuko's boat. In this episode, while fighting with Zuko, Aang shows some pretty intense fear and his first (technically second) experience with the Avatar state is for survival and driven by fear (also, notably, a repeat experience of the same thing that caused the actual first experience). Yet, as soon as Aang is off of Zuko's boat, he's melancholy for a hot second and then turns on a dime and starts talking about the adventures they can go on. Avatar State -> Shut Down/dismissing or ignoring the problem.
- Aang at the Southern Air Temple. He starts off in deep obvious denial, like this kid is so obviously blocking. Then he sees Gyatso's body, goes into a rage and grief induced Avatar state, gets pulled out, can no longer use denial as his mental defense, and so once again turns to shut down. He's expressionless as he comes down, and when he's fully out he's just kind of tired and speaks with a soft almost toneless quality. He's admitting to the trauma and yet there's a numb resignation to it. He's not emotionally connecting with it. We see him after with Momo and Appa smiling and just being like “we gotta stick together :)”. That's not the appropriate response to admitting there's only three survivors of your home. Avatar State -> Shut down/dismissal
- Aang and General Fong. Aang experiences an extremely distressing and helpless situation while he watches Katara, one of two whole people in his life, be buried. He goes into a rage induced Avatar state, again, and then literally 'nope's out of the situation with help from Roku. And when he comes back, he shuts down. He doesn't react emotionally, he once again speaks in that soft, even, almost dead tone, apologizes, and dismisses the event. I mean, the way he addresses General Fong, the person who just caused this whole thing, is extremely chill, almost uncharacteristic. Just a simple, “you're out of your mind” with a tone that could make you think he was having a casual conversation with someone who just suggested eating cereal out of a cup. And then he's good! Momo comes back and he smiles and everything is all good again. Avatar State -> Shut down/dismissal.
- Then we have the desert, one of the few times Aang does not shut down immediately, but then it culminates in the Avatar State and he stays like that for a bit but once he comes down, his faces changes again, to what is almost resignation, like he's given up on being mad, which really, he has as we see later. And then the next episode and he's playing in some water, but as soon as Sokka brings up Appa, we see the face and tone that's now kind of familiar: soft, dead, dismissive. He's once again refusing to emotionally connect and is downplaying it. Avatar State -> shut down/dismissal.
Depressive Symptoms/Anxiety:
He shows fits of both, though these aren't as evident because, again, most of the time he's in an emotional block and ignoring the problems. But when he cannot ignore the absence of his lifelong companion, he has a long period of anger followed by a numb depressive state, he literally talks about giving up hope. He is entirely hopeless at this point.
And then when he cannot ignore the Day of Black Sun coming in a few days, his anxiety goes through the fucking roof.
However, these don't last long and that'll connect to me talking about emotional regulation later.
Behavioral Changes:
Aang changes A Lot over the course of the series. Book 1 Aang is very distinct from Book 3 Aang (though we still see the core traits of him throughout). He becomes more hyper focused on doing his duty, tends to fall to the background when he can, generally takes on a much more somber demeanor.
Difficulties With Attention:
This one's not really huge. He has about the same amount of attention focus in Book 3 as he does Book 1, if not improvement.
Nightmares:
I don't think I have to explain this. Aang goes through multiple fits of nightmares.
Difficulties Sleeping or Eating:
Once again, I look to Nightmares and Daydreams, one of the few times Aang is unable to shut down or block. He cannot sleep for the life of him. I have plans to go back and pay attention to eating habits in Book 3 in order to potentially add onto this joke meta, but I would not be surprised if there were signs of a lowered appetite, even if the writers did not intend it.
Aches and Pains:
He doesn't ever complain about this but also like, would he? Even if he was experiencing them? Kid tried to fight people and fly through a storm while newly recovering from a lightning injury. Aang gives no shits.
Then the article also covers childhood PTSD diagnoses which I'd also like to go over real quick. “the child continues to re-experience the event through nightmares, flashbacks, or other symptoms for more than a month after the original experience; the child has what we call avoidance or numbing symptoms—he or she won’t think about the event, has memory lapses, or maybe feels numb in connection with the events—and the child has feelings of arousal, such as increased irritability, difficulty sleeping, or others.”
Most of these I just covered, but I think it's notable that numbness is also mentioned here, the exact symptoms I've been talking about. Avoidant, won't think about it, numb in connection.
And just to be sure that everyone is on board let me go through some other examples of Aang shutting down:
Katara brings up the 100 years and Aang immediately blocks that shit. It's literally too big for him to conceptualize, so he dismisses it as okay because he has a new friend now and moves on and doesn't think about it.
The Northern Air Temple. I think most people agree that the lesson in that episode was wrong. Aang had every right to be angry. There's nothing okay about taking over and destroying 100 year old artifacts of a nearly extinct culture. We see Aang react to this with a numbness. There's even a moment where he's just frozen and uncomprehending. “This place is unbelievable.” “Yeah. It's great isn't it?” “No, just unbelievable.” He reacts with anger later (notably when he feels like he can do something instead of being helpless), and then when he can no longer do anything, he once again just rejects any negative emotional turmoil in favor of that “it's fine” attitude and accepts what the people have done.
Then the desert, one of the few places we don't see him shut down immediately. Except, literally the next episode is all about Aang's hardest shut down yet.
There are other examples but I think you get the point. He does this A Lot.
Okay cool, so we've covered the denial and trauma responses part, but how does emotional regulation play into this?
I'm glad you asked.
So, when I was first considering Aang and this whole thing, I thought Aang exhibited emotional dysregulation, especially in regards to the Avatar State, but then I actually did some learning on emotional dysregulation and realized, actually, no, he doesn't. Emotional dysregulation is mostly characterized by emotional responses being out of proportion with the event, but I think we can all agree, pm every time he goes into the Avatar State, that emotional response is uh, rather warranted. Now, Aang does, in these moments, show the lack of control that can come with emotional dysregulation, but also like, who wouldn't.
Considering Aang's behavior outside of the Avatar State Outbursts, he's actually very good at emotional regulation. Scary good, in fact. Number One in the reasons I say this is everything I said above. The ability to shut down is often an active choice. Aang does not like who he is when he is upset and, outside the initial outburst, has a pretty firm grip on his emotions. He shows anger at times, but they are in appropriate places with more or less appropriate responses.
The Desert stands out so much because Aang loses the control he normally has. This is where we see him lose his grip on himself and he spirals.
He rarely shows grief. During his lessons with the Guru he passes all the chakras with amazing ease because he legitimately is that good at controlling and managing emotions which, like I said at the very beginning, I attribute a lot of that to him being raised by monks. I mean, he's a 12 yr old who is skilled in meditation. I don't think it's a stretch to think the monks taught him other such things.
He doesn't react to small things that would normally piss people off. Examples include The Headband when he gives absolutely zero shits about the bully, and The Southern Raiders where he accepts Katara trying to steal Appa and doesn't react to Zuko mocking him and his culture.
Aang also, paradoxically, can be pretty good at expressing emotions when he needs to. He's typically very emotionally intelligent, with the exception being pretty much any trauma. He will react to basic things in the moment and is unafraid to show frustration or anger or uncertainty, as long as it's Not connected to a thing he is distinctly Not thinking about.
And one of the most damning examples of his emotional regulation skill, that is actually the scene that started me thinking about all of this, is the scene with Koh the Face Stealer.
That scene threw me off so much because I felt like it was incredibly out of character for Aang, this incredibly expressive kid, to be able to show no emotional reaction. It didn't make sense and for a long time I dismissed it as just, the writers thought it'd be cool so he did it. But of course, I can't let things lay, so I never really stopped thinking about it until I realized, in context of everything I've talked about before, it actually makes perfect sense.
Aang is emotionally expressive by choice. He has the ability to control his emotions and responses to a ridiculous degree. He knows how to be emotionally intelligent with basic things, where to express emotion and how to do it.
(Of course, he's not perfect. There are plenty of times he acts out, the Bato episode being the first thing to come to mind, but even there, after just a few hours, he has wrestled with his jealousy and responds appropriately to guilt, he owns up to it. He does try to explain himself but when Sokka makes it clear he's not going to listen, Aang does not continue to press the point. He accepts Sokka's decision, does not lash out, and for once doesn't shut down or exhibit happiness soon after. He is sad and expresses it without shoving his emotions onto others. For a 12 yr old, this is fucking impressive.)
Aang was taught well by the monks, but the one thing they couldn't teach him was response to trauma, and that's where he falters, but that emotional regulation means he's not going to respond in a typical way. Instead, he turns to denial as his coping mechanism of choice and uses those skills he learned to achieve a workable state of being but through unhealthy use.
Where am I going with this? Idk. Nowhere really, I just wanted to talk about Aang and psychology tbqh.
Anyway, I will finish this up by a fun delve into Things He's Probably Going To End Up Suffering From:
Denial can lead to memory blocking, where it's more than just not thinking about it, the brain actively suppresses and alters memory to cope. Adult Aang's recollection of the Ozai year is probably not going to be super accurate. Would not be surprised if someone was like “hey remember that time you were almost executed by a town for your past live’s mistakes?” and Aang just went “No???” and legit has no recollection of any such thing.
Selective numbing will eventually turn into collective numbing. You can selectively numb for a temporary period of time (which is how people fall into the trap) but eventually your brain will start to numb everything, not just the bad things. At the very least teenage Aang absolutely goes through a period of dissociative complete numbness.
Speaking of dissociation, if you're not going to react to trauma the normal way, dissociation happens. It starts as a coping mechanism but like with numbing, it cannot remain controlled and will develop into something. Aang will have a dissociative disorder, I'm telling you. Which one? Idk, but I assure you, it'll be there. I'm leaning toward some basic depersonalization/derealization and/or OSDD type four where trauma and meditation accidentally mix for the worse.
So yeah, there you go, a breakdown of Aang, his trauma responses, his emotional intelligence, and the consequences of those two things put together.
I'm gonna be a nerd here and add shitty citations but this is mostly in case you're also a psych geek and want to read things.

(Summary) Gilbert's Beast Manual Case 2: How to Get Gilbert to Take His Meds
Part 2 of Gilbert's current party event, wherein Emma tries to sneak his meds into his food.
Spoilers. Technically a summary-translation hybrid where everything should probs be in quotes. I read using a translator. Some parts omitted. Case 1 | Case 3 | His POV
Tumblr media
Gilbert and Emma are having lunch together in his lab. The menu today, graciously brought over from the dining hall by Roderic, consists of processed meat flavored with leafy greens, ham and potato soup and some bread; the kind of meal that any household could easily make. Gone are the days where the royal family had a separate menu. This is the same kind of food that everyone in the castle eats regardless of status, and so of course Gilbert, who advocates for equality, eats it up with gusto as per usual.
At this point, Emma's been pointedly staring at Gilbert eat. When he brings this up, Emma says that she's simply captivated by him. Which prompts Gilbert to consider staring pointedly back at her. Emma responds that she wouldn't be able to calmly continue eating, but Gilbert teasingly laughs it off because he certainly wouldn't mind. True to his word, he proceeds to take her into his red gaze. True to her word, Emma's unable to just casually keep eating.
Stuttering over herself, Emma decides to bring up the matter of dessert. It's different today. Not the usual cookies Emma bakes for him. Deciding those had gotten a bit dull, she's prepared pound cake for him today. With bits of dried fruit for a mouthfeel she figured he might enjoy. Gilbert's face lights up and he thanks her with a giggle while Emma does her best to keep calm and not give her shaking nerves away. The food she's busily putting into her mouth is delicious, but she's too nervous to enjoy it.
Here Gilbert decides to introduce a bit of an anecdote to Emma as idle chatter. What will, in true Gilbert-fashion, turn out to be a parable. Before Emma came along, Gilbert would take his lunches with Roderic and Walter. Not that he wanted to, and they themselves ventured forth looking like they were ready for certain death. So Gilbert asks Emma why she thinks that might have been, and she innocently asks if it was so they could deepen their bonds of friendship. But Gilbert succinctly clarifies that it was so they could keep an eye on him and ensure he didn't leave any food behind.
Hearing this, Emma seems quite naturally surprised. Gilbert's a glutton who generally eats up most his food after all. At this, Gilbert explains that the only food he leaves behind is anything that's been poisoned. However, he says with his world-class pout, whenever he had lunch with Roderic and Walter, the food would taste weird for some reason. He was told it was okay to eat because it definitely wasn't poisoned, and yet poor Gilbert had to suffer that awful taste. So terrible, he says with his world-class smile, that he contemplated sending those two to the gallows; there was a high chance something sus had indeed been mixed in.
Emma stares at Gilbert in silence. Gilbert merely asks: "You won't betray me, will you, little rabbit?" Emma stutters for a thousand years as she adamantly claims that of course she never could XD And Gilbert agrees, because if she ever did, he'd be so devastated he might just start drawing up a military operation. Emma mentally digests the enormity of that adorable threat while Gilbert casually turns his attention the cake in question. Due to her nerves, Emma's failed to notice that Gilbert's already finished his meal.
As Gilbert reaches for the pound cake, he stops to mention a footnote to his story. Figuring the weird-tasting food business meant he hadn't been disciplining Roderic and Walter enough, he decided to go ahead and do just that. Gilbert's not received any weird-tasting food since. He punctuates that with a giggle.
Emma stares at Gilbert in silence. Placing the plated cake in her hand, Gilbert gently implores her to feed him since she made it so special for him. Then, like the goober that he is, he sits back all happy and opens his mouth with a cute ah~
Emma holds the fork as firmly as she can given her circumstances and pierces the cake. In truth, she feels confident about the cake's taste, but she's having some serious qualms about tricking Gilbert like this. She suddenly throws out a fierce apology, but Gilbert, not dropping his smile for a moment, swoops in and eats the cake on the fork in one bite before she can do anything.
While Emma panics and sees discipline looming on her horizon, Gilbert begins to pout while he chews. This too gives Emma pause as she prompts him to spit it out if it tastes funky. But Gilbert's smiling again and he says it's fine. He might actually be able to handle this. There's definitely a dicey quality to the taste, but he might be willing to try eating it for her.
Emma finally relaxes. Her repeated trial-and-error has seemingly been worth it. She'd put the dish together at Walter's behest in order to get Gilbert to take his meds. Walter's medicine is extremely effective but the taste is "devastating," so they needed a new plan to make it palatable for Gilbert.
Just as Emma furtively declares "Operation Pound Cake" a success, Gilbert casually shatters her adorable hopes: "A betrayal is a betrayal, right?" He gets up from his seat and places a hand on her back. Her mouth tightens at the immediate, peremptory pressure. Did I know what peremptory meant before this? Nope, but it's very Gilbert.
He says her name, by which I mean he says Little Rabbit, and his breath gusts against Emma's ear and sends her heart into overdrive for different reasons now. "My punishments are... rather long."
Emma, thoroughly repentant, promises to never Operation-Pound-Cake again and think of a different method. But Gilbert only chuckles and calls her foolish before biting her ear and making Emma make lewd Emma-noises. As she hurriedly cups her mouth, Gilbert proceeds to gently kiss the spot of the ouchie. And he brings up a good point: he generally listens to her requests if she simply voices them.
Emma herself admits that Gilbert carefully takes his meds whenever she asks him to. But that was never what this was about. "You hate the bitter taste, don't you?" she asks him. And that's why she intends to do her best and continue to do trial-and-error testing until the weird taste goes away. All because she wants to reduce the amount of things he doesn't like, even if it's just by one.
"Therefore I shouldn't discipline you?" Gilbert is quick to ask. Emma falls into silence as he tilts his head and says, "Now that I've got a good excuse to pick on you, there's no way I'm going to just stop." Before Emma can protest, he slips a cold hand down her collar in one fluid motion and begins caressing her skin. As Emma braces for what's to come, she realizes that resistance is futile at this point and that she's got no choice but take her punishment.
Emma feels Gilbert blow into her ear just as she shuts her eyes. "Thank you, Emma." At a loss for words, she opens her eyes and catches sight of the brightest, happiest smile she's seen all day.

In honor of that poll, which has apparently been answered by a bunch of loser rogue-fuckers, and was also written by someone who doesn't even have the update that gives you twelve poll options, please have a good ranking of sexiest D&D 5e classes, from me.
This only has the 13 officially published 5e classes so do not ask me about classes that are not that. Also, the existence of a handful of sexy or unsexy characters of that class does not a sexy or unsexy class overall make. I'm sure these two statements will not shut down all annoying people but by god I hope they shut down some.
Paladin. Self-explanatory: if you don't agree, you better explain yourself, unless you think they are outranked by...
Wizard. As Liam O'Brien said, what's sexier than wizards? And I said "paladins, but no one else." I'm also going to fuck up an Octavia Butler quote and say that her journal did not explicitly state that single-minded devotion is sexy but it is, and that's why wizards and paladins are, undisputably, the top two.
Warlock. Would be higher than wizards on the basis of sheer raw charisma but some warlock classes (archfey, hexblade) are extremely sexy and some are...pots in need of very unique lids, shall we say.
Bard. This is for competency and knowledge of mythology and musical instruments. If you're into some kind of memeriffic 20 CHA 7 INT Roll To Seduce bro shit, get the fuck out of here.
Ranger. Their combat abilities are not as great as they could be but this is also without a doubt the class that will invite you over and make a delicious foraged mushroom risotto and have lit candles they made themself. They are good with animals and can identify constellations. Entire package.
Barbarian and Fighter are tied. Do you prefer a flow state and passion or do you prefer dedication and persistence? Axe or sword? Raw power or precision? Equally valid; it's a matter of personal taste.
Cleric. One of the gods thinks they're special; it's hard not to be drawn in by that. Also, healing is the sexiest magical ability. Points off for the possibility of sanctimonious behavior.
Druid. This is just personal taste but I would find it weird if my partner was sometimes a giant scorpion, and I feel rangers are just the far sexier nature-loving option. People for whom druids are #1, I see you, I respect you, I disagree with you, but I do think you're valid.
Monk. Here's the problem. Yes flexible; everything else is kind of a solid "eh" for me. Honestly I think it's because D&D separates out dexterity and strength even though monks technically need both, and so the low-strength monk archetype really doesn't do it for me. It's not unsexy but it never wows me, and honestly in real life martial arts is usually more an aesthetic joy than a sexy one for me.
Sorcerer. Often physically attractive but I do not love a nepo baby, and absolutely the class least able to make you breakfast. Class most likely to attempt to make you breakfast and manage to fuck up scrambled eggs.
Artificer. Love the class but unfortunately I can only think of Belle's father in Beauty and the Beast (1991) when I think of what an artificer looks like. Wizards claimed the hot nerd spot; artificers never had a chance.
Rogue. Anyone can wear black leather. Anyone can twirl a butterfly knife and the ranger is going to be better at using it. You know what rogues are best at? Leaving through the window without waking you up. That's it. Bards have the same skills and then some and they're hotter by design. There are other classes with superior physical skills. Burst damage is already not actually that useful in 5e combat and even less so in the bedroom.

So I read this interesting analysis on why revenge drama is so popular in Korea. Even in the last 2 years there's been a whole bunch of revenge-centered dramas, like Revenge of Others, The King of Pigs, The Glory, Reborn Rich etc. I remember one of my first fave Japanese dramas was adapted from a Korean drama (Maou - adapted from The Devil).
I think the analysis is interesting. It talks about the burden of "hate" within the social mindset. Not just hatred, rather a combination of regret, grief, shame, self-blame, numbness and suffering. It links this to modern Korean history, the terrible tragedy and near genocide Korea experienced during the war, the sadness of having a single country torn in two (I remember in Descendants of the Sun, one of the quotes was "Korea is the only country in the world separated into two"...which while not technically true, surprised me with how close they must feel to their northern counterparts), and the toxic effect chaebol families have had on their society, and the lack of reparations for any of these tragedies.
So there's a strong preference for revenge fantasies that go by "using violence to resolve violence" (ahem Vincenzo), because like in real life, no resolution or closure was reached despite exhausting all legal avenues.
However, one frequent complaint is that Korean revenge fantasies, while often brave in their depiction, rarely effect change. The chaebol's grip on Korean economy and politics remains, misogyny persists, hierarchy continues to suffocate, and academics grows ever more cut throat.
An interesting point the article poses is whether this feeds into maintaining the status quo. There is catharsis through the fantasy of vengeance...so the crowd can then return to their ordinary life accepting things as it is -- despite the portrayals of corruption, public servants and conglomerate employees remain the most sought after professions. Chaebols allow shows that criticise them because they're aware of media's immense drawing power, while being well aware those stories are powerless to mobilise change.

For a show that's progressive, one-of-a-kind, ground-breaking for its time, and relies on "Show, don't Tell" a lot throughout the series, it bugs me how ATLA (or, more specifically, Bryke) preferred to tell the audience that Aang is a master airbender without showing us why. I mean, Toph, Zuko, Azula, and Katara are all shown practicing and improving their mastery in bending (although Katara has become rather overpowered), so why can't Aang have the same treatment?
Yes, Aang may be a child prodigy, and he did get airbending tattoos from inventing the air scooter, but I personally think that inventing an airbending technique (which demonstrates impressive ability and skill) is a way to gain the arrows prematurely, but isn't a requirement. Nothing in the show ever suggests just how far he's mastered his native element, let alone the other three. In the beginning of Sozin's Comet, Part 1: The Phoenix King (3:18), Aang says he thinks he still needs to practice his firebending more (which in hindsight makes sense, as he's just started relearning it from the dragons five episodes ago), and Toph notes that his earthbending could use more work too. Right off the bat, Aang is two elements away from complete mastery of all four, but later on he's seen practicing waterbending with Katara, implying he hasn't mastered it either.
We don't even see Aang practicing his airbending by himself post-iceberg, preferring to show off to random girls (like in Kyoshi Island). He just learns the elements, but doesn't really learn the philosophies behind each element. In this regard, he makes Kuruk and Roku look venerated in contrast. (To be fair to Aang, he had a specific deadline to master the four elements before Sozin's Comet that no other Avatar besides Wan had to deal with, but couldn't he try to make an effort to learn from the other nations?) Additionally, compared to Tenzin and Zaheer, Aang doesn't stand a chance against either of them (even though Tenzin is his son, but since Tenzin wasn't the Avatar, he could focus on upholding the Air Nomad culture and legacy). Even Jinora could go toe-to-toe with him at similar ages. He isn't really that impressive in any of the elements, to be honest; we've seen what a master of any specific element can do in both ATLA and LOK, as well as in the novels.
The main thing people often get wrong is that mastery isn't a final goal; it's a specific mindset. As in Pai Sho, what separates true masters from everyone else is that true masters always look for improvement in their strategy or skills. That's why Aang isn't a real master of the four elements: He always takes the easy way out, never trying to better himself or improve what he can already do.
I think this quote from Zaheer perfectly sums up what I've been saying: When you base your expectations on what you see, you blind yourself to the possibilities of a new reality. Even though it stems from his anarchist beliefs, it is genuinely one of the more insightful pieces of wisdom in the franchise because it promotes progress, a constant theme in life. Toph was able to invent metalbending because she wanted to "see" a reality where she could be recognized for her own talent in spite of her blindness; Zuko could learn firebending from the dragons because he could see a reality where he would regain his honor and fight alongside the Avatar, and so on. By contrast, Aang only takes things from surface-level, not putting any effort into understanding the true meaning of being the Avatar.
Speaking of Pai Sho, guess which Avatar constantly improved his/her abilities? Kuruk. Unlike Aang, Kuruk readily asked his companions, Jianzhu, Hei-Ran, and Kelsang, to continue teaching him, ever after he mastered the four elements that he was required to do, saying they would all benefit from the experience (the "true master" quote I mentioned above was actually said by him). Not only that, it was even inverted; sometimes they taught Kuruk, other times he taught them (which technically makes him the first known Avatar to teach bending to others). He was right, as during their lifetimes, they were the most powerful benders of their respective elements in the world!
Kuruk also had an intuitive connection to each of the four bending philosophies, which to this day remains unrivaled by any other Avatar, and was also one of the first people to suggest the idea that the four elements are connected (homeboy's literally a younger Water Tribe Avatar version of proto-Iroh, I'm honestly not going to be surprised if Iroh actually learned his belief from Kuruk during the former's visits to the Spirit World over tea and Pai Sho matches). If you ask me, Mone, learning the cultures and philosophies of the four nations is way more important than mastering the four elements, because the Avatar isn't just the bridge between the four nations; he/she is also the symbol of a unified world, and the franchise is saying that only one Avatar even bothered to do that? In my opinion, if we go by this rule, that easily cements Kuruk as the greatest Avatar in history!
Aang, on the other hand, never does this. Instead, he puts the Air Nomads on a high pedestal (which in turn causes him to place Katara on a high pedestal), and doesn't respect or learn from other nations' philosophies. He openly disrespects SWT culture and actively makes sure Tenzin doesn't have any exposure to the culture that Tenzin still belongs too, and worse, he pushes his own culture on other people's throats (remember the time he forced a homeless couple to "give up on hope because it's a big waste of time"? Or the time he forced Katara to not murder Yon Rha?) and values his own nation and values above the rest of the world (like the time he refused to kill Firelord Ozai because "all life is sacred", even though he has actually killed before, but if he doesn't kill Ozai, the latter's going to burn the entire Earth Kingdom to the ground!). That doesn't sound like something the Avatar is allowed to do, but Aang gets away with it anyway because ... hero?
There's actually another Avatar who focused on his/her own nation above the rest of the world. Avatar Szeto, Yangchen's predecessor, became a government official in his homeland, the Fire Nation. Under his tenure, the Fire Nation transformed from a fragmented, disaster-stricken state to the centralized, technologically-advanced nation we know of today. Unfortunately, this led him to neglect the other nations and, shortly after his death, the four nations were caught in a political event known as the Platinum Affair, which Yangchen had to deal with, eventually kick-starting the cycle of the current Avatar fixing their past lives' mistakes, while leaving problems for their future selves to fix. This problem might have even led to the growing ambition of Firelords Zoryu and Sozin as dictators, with the latter starting the Hundred Years War.
Aang not only valued his own nation's values above the others, he also forced said values on his non-Air Nomad companions; signed anti-miscegenation laws and tried to forcefully deport Fire Nationals from the colonies to return the land to the Earth Kingdom, even though they had already blended in with Earth Kingdom citizens, didn't wan to be separated from their families, and Zuko perceived the citizens of mixed heritage as his own subjects; refused to let his family practice SWT culture, even though his children could benefit from being members of both cultures, not just one or the other, and set an example for mixed-race families around the world; refused to teach Kya and Bumi Air Nomad culture because he thought they weren't airbenders and therefore "not real Air Nomads", even though they were just as Air Nomad as Tenzin was, if not more; and forced Tenzin to uphold the legacy of an entire nation on his shoulders. The fact that this was all written by complete accident is the cherry on top, representing just how badly Bryke screwed up.
... On a completely unrelated note, The Other Side of Paradise by Glass Animals (which is also one of my favorite songs) is definitely a Kuruk song. The last third of the song in particular sums up his tragic journey as the Avatar so well, and I always think of him while listening to it.

Been thinking about Shinji and Momo and specifically abt them in relations to the system or the ideal of the system that kind of screwed them over. With Shinji being unjustly thrown out and no one rlly fully unpacking how much of an HR concern was Aizen’s weird boundaries with Momo. You once mentioned in one of ur posts abt Shinji that the Vizards for sure do not come back with full trust in the soul society again and have their own agendas. This makes me wonder how Shinji and Momo navigate that system together now that both of them have made the decision to continue to serve under it? Momo, herself does come across as duty bound but has shown instances of acting against it when she feels the need to for the sake of the greater good (like disobeying orders to save hisagi, or admitting that not all laws are good laws even if she’s technically quoting Aizen) Sorry for the rambling! These two just fascinate me cuz I feel like aside from the whole Aizen thing, they’re like two diff flavors of being back on the job after being screwed over. The somewhat jaded mentor and the eager beaver who got the rug thrown under her.
We joke about Gotei HR all the time, but honestly in the context of their own world and worldviews would Aizen and Hinamori come across to anyone as having weird boundaries? I’m not saying it didn’t get weird but I kind of feel like part of the nature of the thing is that it’d be hard for anyone in Soul Society to point to anything Aizen did that was notably weirder than anything else everyone else does. I’m not saying it wouldn’t be an HR violation somewhere (I just completed my state-mandated sexual harassment training three days ago, so it’s all nice and fresh, LOL) but even if the Gotei had HR I doubt it would have helped in Aizen and Hinamori’s case.
I know there are people who get very deep into canonicity debates about whether Aizen and Hinamori ever slept with each other, but I’m not personally all that interested in the genre as a whole—like, the nailing down of what is or isn’t canon. In fanfic, I figure anything goes if you can make it work for you in your story. For my part, I think Aizen would take pride in not having to have sex with Hinamori in order to make his plans work. Like an *everyone* does sexual manipulation but he doesn’t even *have* to and that’s the *beauty* of the game kind of deal.
But to the question itself!
My take on Shinji is that he is, of course, very well aware of the ways the Gotei fucked him and the rest of the Vizard, and has no illusions about that. But he’s not someone who simmers in that in the same way that Hiyori does.
Honestly, maybe a good comparison might be that Shinji treats the Gotei the way he treated Aizen as a vice-captain. According to Aizen, that was a mistake, but Shinji knows the Gotei better than he ever knew Aizen. Arguably, the Gotei is more knowable than Aizen. Shinji has a certain savvy about him with respect to the Gotei as an institution, and if you now how it works, then there are degrees to which it can be managed, and perhaps even made to work for you. And if you want that to happen, the only place you can do that work is inside it, as one of its Captains. Shinji’s known that since even before TBTP, probably since before he was even himself a Captain the first time around.
But I think another key element here is that Shinji is very, very good at separating the work from the institution from the people. He can engage his octopus brain and hold the meaning of what shinigami effect in the world separate from the ethical and bureaucratic conundrums posed by the Gotei, separate from the personalities that make it up (which are the problem and the best part about the Gotei in turns). He reminds me of this guy who’s been in my toxic-ass profession for AGES but still has a ton of energy and capacity for wonder and enthusiasm and being smart in ways that make everyone smarter, and he manages this by being absolutely ruthless about not getting all sopped up by departmental drama or overly precious about ~the profession~ and making very intentional decisions about what matters and what absolutely doesn’t. I think having that as a model was incredibly useful for Hinamori, as someone with a propensity to care deeply for and about everything.
I mentioned in the tags of another post that I envisioned Hinamori as having a healing justice orientation to the world, part of which is about locating “evil” outside of individuals. It is not inherent, but made. While this does not absolve Aizen of his actions or their supporting worldviews, a path to forgiveness is at least partly about recognizing the bigger picture that produced the conditions for the fomenting of these views/plans. (And that’s before the many ways the system failed them in ways that didn’t come directly through Aizen.) Which means that moving past Aizen is also about moving past the Gotei/Soul Society, while also continuing to work for it—in a major, responsible way.
Like, Hinamori is not clocking in to sweep the floors and then leave to her wife and kids. She’s leading the thing. So what’s the journey there? We see her reclaim her role as 5th Division Vice-Captain in the Winter War (as distinct from being Aizen’s Vice-Captain—ymmv on this, like Matsumoto’s does). In that role, Hinamori has not seemed to have much of a problem with challenging authority when she felt it just to do so, even in moments of more even temper (shouting at Byakuya over Renji’s unconscious body lol). Which I feel like lends credence to the idea that Aizen’s betrayal was probably not her introduction to the world being often an unjust and deeply painful place, or even to the Gotei being these things. Like, I think she understood that. Maybe Aizen even talked to her about that, and part of why she liked him so much was the opportunity to have these long, intellectual conversations about philosophy and governance. And what do you do at the end of these conversations? You can be bitter and angry about it; you can be angry and want to burn it down; you can drink the Kool-Aid and become complicit in it; you can naively deny it and either become complicit in it or get destroyed by it; or you can—
Do what Shinji and Hinamori do about it together, which is to resolve to be the energy they wish to see in the world, which in their interpretation also requires some complicity—being officers in Gotei—and, having made that choice, periodically needing to process that. I mean, I think that’s part and parcel of being involved in any kind of institution (I know I think about it allllll the fucking time), but I imagine the experience is further magnified by the particular histories Shinji and Hinamori have with the Gotei.
I imagine sometimes—a rough week at the office, or in the aftermath of a Blood War they wonder if they aren’t being too complicit. Or, conversely, if they aren’t echoing Aizen too much, in their resolution to craft a world of their own devising. But they were different people, both from each other and very much from Aizen; their devices and visions are different, too. And so the fear falls away.
It will come back. It will probably never leave. But sometimes it’s better to be haunted than not, and ghosts can be welcome reminders.

reader and shy!ethan are bestfriends and ethan finally confesses his feelings?
he's stressing over how to make it perfect. one day he's trying to watch a youtube video on a concept he's been trying to grasp for days, and he sees one of those extra gum commercials where they draw something cute in the gum wrappers and the two people are so infatuated with each other. and of course, he gives it a shot but his drawing is horrendous and you're always the one who carries gum so that plan is a double no.
then he thinks about where he should do it. he asks if you wanna come over to watch a new movie or show, only to find out that you'd already watched it (somehow) and he's not only left feeling defeated, but also a little betrayed.
and this shouldn't be as strenuous as it is, but ethan has high expectations and he's a little bit of a perfectionist so he refuses to rest until he's devised the perfect plan.
but it all works out for him anyway.
you're both walking back home after a night out with the others, you two deciding to turn in earlier than the rest due to how exhausted you both were. you both have the taste of milkshakes on your lips and ethan's noticed that you've started to curl in on yourself more and more with the gusts of wind that continue to push against your body.
"here," he says, slipping his sweatshirt over his head easily and passing it to you. you don't protest, instantly pulling it over your small top. "should've dressed for the weather," ethan teases, a small smile on his lips as he anticipates your fist to his shoulder. and sure enough, he's feigning hurt as he holds onto the spot that you barely even impacted.
you both reach his apartment first and you're gasping as he approaches the steps. before ethan even has time to question you, you're explaining. "wanna have a sleepover and watch she's the man?"
and how could ethan say no?
that's how you're wearing nothing but ethan's sweatshirt and tucked in his bed with his laptop being the only thing separating you both. he's so aware of how your bare legs are just a few inches from him and how sweet you smell and how you keep quoting the movie because that's how often you both have seen it.
and it's technically a rom-com and they've always had an effect on ethan and suddenly he's turning to face you and he's noticing how pretty you look with the light reflecting off of your face and the words are out of his mouth before he realizes.
"i like you. like ... a lot."
turns out, ethan didn't need a gum wrapper or a perfect setting (although, channing tatum is a perfect setting) because you're smiling so big and looking away from amanda bynes being welcomed at the diner table with the guys to tell him that you like him too, "like a lot".

Jay - Christian Cage
I watched as she was talking to Christopher, well more like flirting. That is just how she talks to everyone, and she knows that he is married, and her and I both know that he would never cheat on his wife.
But to her, she just hams it up whenever I am around, and the roster has caught on. Even more so, Adam, because he knows what happened between her and I all those years ago.
At the time, I regretted having an affair on my wife, but it just wasn't a physical affair either. It was very much an emotional affair.
My wife and I were already sleeping in separate rooms, and she didn't travel with me anymore. We were already separated but just needed the papers to tell us that we could properly move on with our lives, but neither one of us was ready to take that next step.
Knowing that all the pent-up emotions would come spiralling out.
But the moment I spent almost $17,000 on that bracelet that still adorned her wrist, I knew it was time to break it off.
Tumblr media
I still remember our breakup like it was yesterday.
"Just give me until after my divorce, and we can be together." I told her.
"You told me you two were separated and that the divorce was almost finalised, Jay."
"Her and I are technically separated. I just haven't started the divorce proceedings." I said sheepishly.
"You are really a piece of shit, Jay. Get the fuck out." She pointed to her front door.
I tried to reason with her, but at the time, her kicking me out was the best thing she could have done.
It got me started with divorce, which was quick. Neither of us had demands, and we agreed to sell our house, and whichever cars we acquired together.
But I was foolish to believe that she would be waiting for me. By the time the divorce was all said and done, so was YN.
So, seeing her walk through a set of doors next to Tony Khan one day had me shaken. I thought I was dreaming until Nick pinched me. I almost wanted to slap the little shit, but I kept my composure. Even when she came walking towards Nick and I.
Tony introduced us, and she played it off like she was just meeting me for the first time.
It's not like I didn't have her body memorised or how she would moan my name drilled into my head, but no, I just played along with her.
And that is when the games truly began. Anytime I was near her, she would find the closest person and starts to flirt with them.
At first didn't bother me, but when she started to do it with my friends, fuck, it got to me.
So after Christopher walked away, shaking his head, chuckling to himself, I had to step in.
"You can stop that, you know."
"Stop what, Jay?"
"Don't play dumb with me. I can see that you are flirting with them."
"To quote one of my favourite shows, 'No, I'm just hot and talking.'"
"Well, to me, it seems like you are flirting with all of my friends."
"Get over yourself, Jay, and stop being a dick towards me."
I decided to ignore that. "Give me another chance."
"You and I both know that isn't going to happen. You lied to me. You told me that your divorce was almost finalised."
"That was ages ago, and I am divorced now. In no relationships."
"Well, I am perfectly happy being in a relationship with my dildo." An image of her playing with said dildo came into mind. I bet it is in her favourite colour as well.
"Don't you miss me, Darling? We had plenty of fun times together."
"We did, but that is in the past now." She turned and walked away, leaving me standing there, wondering what the hell I could do to win her back.
It was like every single time I saw her, she was on someone else's arm. When we all went dancing, she ignored me for the night and found her way into the arms of Colten.
Instead of coming back to my room, which was right next door to Colten's, I had to listen to the two of them all night.
I even found myself in the elevator with her the next morning.
"Walk of shame, I see." I looked her up and down, her carrying her heels in one hand.
"Oh, there is no shame in what the two of us did." The elevator let us know we were on her floor, and she got off, smirking the whole time.
The moment the doors closed, I wanted to punch the wall, but I didn't. I just have to find another way to let out all this frustration.
It was announced that it was going to be me and Nick vs. Colten and Austin.
I spent the whole week training, knowing this was the only chance to get back at the oldest Sopp son.
Before Nick and I got in the ring, I told him, "Colten is mine."
He didn't question it, and the bell dinged. He and Austin started this tag-team match.
Tumblr media
YN'S POV
I knew sleeping with Colten was maybe taking a step too far, but it sure was fun. Him and I both agreed that it was only going to be a one-time thing.
But I knew his room was next to Jay's, and none of the noises that I let out that night were by any means fake. Like I said, it was fun.
Now I am watching as Jay is targeting Colten in the ring. When Tony brought up the idea of these 4 having a tag-team match, I tried to mention others, but for some reason, he wanted these four. Says they never get a chance to face off against one another.
But watching Jay become so possessive of me, well, it brought out something in me that I have pushed aside all those years ago with him.
My feelings never for him died. They just got pushed back and locked away. In the background, I heard the sound of The Patriarchy music playing, indicating that they won.
Colten and Austin strolled past me, and Colten looked at me, and I mouthed sorry to him.
He stopped and said, "It's okay. Maybe just talk to him, and let him know it was a one-time thing before he really hurts me."
I found Jay in the lockerroom, locking the door behind me, as I didn't want anyone to bother us.
"I am too tired for our games." He said as he pulled a shirt on.
"Yes, I can only imagine as you tried to murder Colten in the ring tonight."
"What is you need? Don't you have to tend to your boy-toy.?"
"Jay, it was one night. Him and I are just friends who agreed to it, never happening again."
"Then give me another chance." I held up my hand, indicating that he didn't need to speak.
"Yes, on one stipulation."
"What is it?"
"No more lying. Just be truthful with me throughout, and we will be fine."
"I can do that. Come here." I walked into his open arms and kissed him for the first time in years.
The kiss ended, and we leaned our foreheads against one another.
"Always been you YN."

Let’s talk about the basics (or not so basic) about the law of assumption
TW: if your easily paranoid do NOT read this❌
If I ask you to tell me who you are, you would most likely tell me your name, your hair colour, your personality. although, this is NOT who YOU ARE
you are only your awareness.
Your awareness : is the thing that causes you to be able to perceive and observe. this is NOT your personality, your brain, your body, or your identity.
There is quote “I think therefore I am” this isn’t some manifestation quote but what it’s saying is that while you can’t ever be sure anything exists but we can be sure that we do, because we are able to perceive and think. Even if our whole view of us being humans and having a body is wrong, if we can think and observe then we technically and logically exist.
So what are you? The perceiver/awareness
You are also A GOD, the god of your own reality, as you can change what your observe and perceive at any time for any time.
Two awareness NEVER exist together and you don’t interact with other awareness which mean you don’t interact with other “creators”
Your reality is made up of all your assumptions, YOU created the reality youre in RIGHT NOW. this means everything other people do/say/think ect. Is based off of your assumptions of them.
And yes. Before you get scared, people ARE real and they have feelings but they do not have the ability to control YOUR reality as they are regular people and YOU ARE A GOD
“Does that mean they don’t have free will?”
No. Your awareness can only be aware of the reality that matches its assumptions which means that people have free will, but their free will will ALWAYS match your assumptions and that’s just the way it is.
YOU ARE THE GOD OF YOUR REALITY!!
“If other people also have an awareness, then what will happen if they manifest a natural disaster?”
Two awarenesses NEVER meet in the same reality. If someone manifests a natural disaster, only THEY will experience it, not you. You both live in separate realities that won’t interact with eachother.
This is your world, so start acting like it.
