do not fuck with me when it comes to kunikida doppo . he is genuinely so kind and caring and compassionate and i think the fact that he used to be a teacher only adds to this, because he definitely comes off as the kind of teacher that is compassionate and cares abt each of their students individually. we can see this in the flashback shown in the ova where kunikida is speaking to katsura trying to get through to him. He might be blunt and might not always read emotions well but we are talking about the man who, despite knowing sasaki got many, many people killed, still wanted to see the good in her.

not to mention the fact that he actively jumped towards the girl with grenades around her neck, as though still trying to save her despite risking his life.

AU where every time AFO manages to get a hold of even one child within about 5 hours the child is no longer with him

1- AfO stole a "passive child repulsion" quirk once in a rush to grab a bunch from a group at once and never figured this one out

2- due to the doctor and AfO both considering the doctor to be an extension of AfO, it affects him too. This means every kid he attempts to grab for experimentation either escapes, vanishes, or dies before any tests. This prompts him to try just starting with corpses

3- AfO still tries to grab Tenko, but since he has yet to identify the quirk to turn off he loses the kid multiple times over two days and ends up driving him right to All Might

4- Garaki had expected this and the backup plan is Hana's corpse

5- AfO thought that Dabi was dead enough to count but nope. His unconscious body teleports back to the mountain after a few hours just as the team putting out the fire and looking for him turn around.
