do u think spinner will be coming back??? i think so, i HOPE so, bc even tho my boy has already had the spotlight earlier in the war and underwent character development that made me go inSANE, his arc does not feel nearly as concluded as say himiko or dabi's, not even close!!! it has me prayin that he appears again and also gets a similarly satisfying conclusion that opens up the possibility of him being saved and redeemed, but i have no clue when or where that would fit into future developments. what do u think?
I still think we'll see most members of the League of Villains again. For me it's a requirement, since Horikoshi has been building their relationships and expressing how much they mean to each other.
I count it as an aftermath of the war. We need to see if Toga and Dabi survive, how they're healed. We need to see Spinner's reaction to what will happen to Tomura too. Even Compress needs to appear again, since the last time we saw him he was talking with Geten in prison.
We need the resolution of the League of Villains as a group, as a found family. Even if it's just one panel showing them reunited in the background or a mention of their names, how they're doing, what's planned for them.
I truly think Spinner is more important to the story than what people normally think. Horikoshi always finds a way to highlight his role in the story when it matters the most. Also, that last panel of him thinking about Tomura? Yeah, their friendship needs a resolution too.
The final character development he needs to undergo is realizing what he wants for himself in life. He said in MVA that he never loved or wanted anything before Stain, then said that he wanted to see Tomura's dream come true. He needs a dream for himself, something beyond being manipulated or a political pawn. Maybe his goal in life can be to see his friends happy? I remember the first time we saw Spinner, doubting about going too far if they have to fight kids or kill the police. He wasn't ruthless. He was worried about justice and how to obtain a better world...
I don't know, there's a narrative there with him. The real surprise would be if Horikoshi decided to not show him up again in the end.

First of all, I want to clarify that I'm not sending an ask trying to bashing Bakugou, however I would like to know your opinion about what his role would be in this ending, since we supposedly entered the final arc a lot has happened and there is still a lot to happen, Toga and Uraraka haven't had their real showdown yet, Touya, Shoto and Endeavor's role isn't done yet and Midoriya and Tomura haven't had a lot of panels focused on themselves yet, but we can see that Horikoshi is leading them to the expected confrontation. However, I still can't see Bakugou's role in all this, taking analysis that says he must have a role in all this saving Tomura, the truth is that such a role is more of a demand seeking to give him prominence than something that It has truly raised the story, beyond the fact that Bakugou's redemption and him learning another way of being a heroe. But even so I can't find his role beyond this, giving him prominence involving him with Tomura is only for the good of his character and his fans who want him to have prominence in the story, I imagine that Horikoshi is going to work the character from the point that he should accept Midoriya's decision to save Tomura, because there is no way that this thought of saving the villain sprouts out of nowhere if we consider that the closest thing we Bakugou understands that it's necessary to save the villains was when he didn't oppose Todoroki's plans, which makes sense since he isn't involved or has personal feelings about Touya, but he has it with Tomura, which is why Bakugou's idea was to fight to kill, since he said it himself, he didn't care if it was AFO or Tomura, it makes no difference to him.
Bakugou's Character Plotline;
Tumblr media
Thanks for the ask anon.
Honestly, i am not really sure how author is gonna add him but one thing we know is he is definitely gonna have important plotline since he is fan favorite and author's favorite.
Before making theories, i want to talk about what i was expecting Bakugou as character ;
1- Bakugou and His Potential as Character;
Tumblr media
I really want story to focus on bullying that happenned in their past but not just Bakugou's part. I wanted story to explore Deku's feeling for his own pain.
Logically, there is no reason Deku to like Bakugou as friend because they were not friends, he bullied him and Bakugou didnt even like Deku, until he had one for all. Their feelings should've explored more. Only explanation can be Deku has stockholm sendrome towards Bakugou which is never really adressed. Same as Shouto who has no reason to be friends with Bakugou. I mean, why would Shouto want to be friends with someone who acts like his abuser? They only get close because those three are the strongest as heroes. I am not saying that they should never be friends but it feels so ooc and forced. Because their friendship isnt earned but forced. They could be friends after Bakugou started working on himself without abusing others, that would be nice. Though, they dont even have to be friends, not everyone has to get along with everyone, thats the thing. And honestly he definitely should be punished and face consequences for his actions, just like any other characters.
Tumblr media
Because Deku clearly felt anger and fear towards Bakugou and he and society is the reason he view himself as worthless and became self destructive but as story goes, most BakuDeku moment focused on Bakugou's feeling and whether Deku just had to accept or endure it. And only thing Deku said about their past is 'You were so cool thats why i chase after you.' And they started working together only Allmight told them to because of 'win to save' and 'save to win'.
Personally, i dont like 'win to save' plotline because only reason a person would prioritize winning against others would be for their ego which is not a good thing. Except if that winning turn into winning against myself to be better version of me, instead of competiting with others, if you race with yourself, thats when you can truly improve. That would be really good lesson for Bakugou and he can be the one who turn toxic competition between heroes to healthy one. That would be amazing.
Tumblr media
Bakugou is gifted child but since he is supposed to learn what he did to Deku and kids like him is wrong, that he shouldnt put himself above on others, maybe he can be the one who would see toxic parts of the system, such as hero community. He doesnt necessarely need a villain foil, he is not part of the 'saving villains' group so adding him there without build is not good and Bakugou already has dark foils. He is parallel with Endeavour, which Bakugou supposed to learn to be better to not turn out like him. He is parallel with Hawks, gifted childs. He is also parallel with Kouta and Koutaro (Deku's relationship with Bakugou is parallel with Tenko's relationship with Koutaro). Since hero society is messed up, even heroes, i really want to see conflict between heroes, especially between kid heroes and adult heroes. Bakugou would be one of the main ones who fight against adult heroes or system.
Those are my general expectations from Bakugou and his character arc. But well, lets focus on what most likely can happen with Bakugou in story.
2- Problem with Writing;
Tumblr media
I think right now main issue with bnha is not just writing with Bakugou but generaly writing hero characters. It seems like author is trying to make them look good person as possible that it ruins their characters because they feel less human, they become more predictable. The only difference between heroes and villains supposed to be just luck. Story showed us many times but it like its all gone.
- Both Bakugou and Deku's character arc is ruined because author didnt explore it properly. Worst part is Bakugou's biggest flaw, his toxicity, his abuse towards Izuku used as humor. And story didnt let Deku to have negative feelings towards Bakugou, its like it erased Deku's anger and what happenned to him and suddenly, they are okay now because they are both heroes who should work together because Allmight said so. This didnt just ruined Deku's character, it also ruined Bakugou's redemption arc because its not earned. Though at least Deku had interesting potential plotline with his saving villains mission while Bakugou doesnt even have that one.
- Not just Deku and Bakugou. At some point, story stopped focusing on corruption of hero society and flaws of heroes. And heroes always win. Deku used to loose almost every fight he had. His biggest flaw is self destruction and he would face conseuences whenever he self desructs but after Overhaul arc, its literally gone. He still doesnt care about himself but story isnt punishing him for it anymore. The way Deku deal with villains seems forced too, the way he empathize with them. It almost like story is trying to say that heroes are always right.
Tumblr media
Bakugou's arc is worse than Deku's because he always win even against Afo, he somehow can fight back and characters in story isnt even allowed to criticise him, he is always right because he is Bakugou.
Class 1 A has no confict between each others. Heroes dont really have confict between each others. They all seem to think same thing and uncontidionally support each others.
Deku, Ochaco and Shouto has a few small panels of talking about wanting to save their villain foil, even though thats the most important thing about their characters and story, we hardly even see what they are thinking and since they dont mention to anyone, they dont even seem to have confict with other heroes. Traitor problem was one of the biggest problem in story but we only get a few chapters, honestly we could get whole arc for it.
Tumblr media
Endeavour's story became 'he wasnt that bad'. Even though, he didnt actively do much as father, story portrays as he did too much. His victim Rei used as readers to sempathize with him with 'he changed because he got me a flower' scene which is horrible. Hawks was one of the most ineteresting characters on hero sides because he was allowed to be dark. Thats what makes his character shine. His relationship with Twice and how dark he was. But after he killed Twice, something about his character just gone because you can tell story is tring to make him look better than he actually is. Not saying that he is bad. It almost like heroes are still heroes so they are not bad, they will always be better than villains, even though being hero is just a job in their world.
-Also there is so many things that didnt explored and adressed, so story's ending here doesnt fit it. It feels like rushing it or maybe, we later will get shippuden style, second part bnha story, idk.
3- What might happen at the end;
Tumblr media
Story portrayed Bakugou's desire to winning (his ego/ambition) as good and heroic thing. Thats most likely why Deku, Ochaco, Shouto, Kirishima and others starts to admiring him and wanting to be friends with him etc etc. Since winning is always core of Bakugou's character, of course, his plotline will focus on that.
He is written to be one of the main characters so he will get big moment, big victory moment that will save everyone, who knows? Maybe, Bakugou will be the one who defeats Afo while Deku, Ochaco and Shouto try to save Shigaraki, Toga and Dabi.
Tumblr media
Bakugou's plotline is also parallel with Endeavour so once again, his character arc might focus on helping Deku so he might support Deku for his decision or try to save him at some point. Maybe he can get some kind of connection with one for all plotline, maybe try to save Deku from self destruction or something.
Bakugou is not part of the 'saving villains' group, there is no set up for him to empathise with them. Especially with Toga, Dabi, Spinner, Twice, Mr Compress. Only progress could be wondering why Shigaraki chose him to kidnap him. Shigaraki gave that speech to him but since Bakugou is the gifted child, he cant relate to 'losers' but he can figure out that villains and heroes are not different because they both are violent in the end. Maybe he can relate to Afo and he might get some epic line.
Tumblr media
I think mainly he will get the big victory moment. Heroes winning will happen with most likely teamwork so Bakugou will be part of it. Thats all can think right now.

A Trio I Think About
Sometimes I look at that extra page that Hori drew of Tomura, Twice and Toga in UA uniforms
Tumblr media
This one
And like it makes me wonder why Hori drew these three instead of Tomura, Toga and Dabi. I mean, the latter is the most popular trio, right? Everybody talks about them. Most fics focus on those three
But then it kind of made me think about how Twice, Toga and Tomura are shown in the series in comparison to Tomura, Toga and Dabi
With Tomura, Toga and Dabi, I think it mostly has to do with the fact Toga and Dabi were the first two who joined the League
Tumblr media
Plus, y’know. This trio has a lot of potential for friendship interaction, that whole “learning to put your trust in people again” thing etc
There’s also the fact that Tomura and Dabi have this unspoken bond, where Tomura lets Dabi do his own thing, accepts him as he is (as he does with his whole League), and Dabi follows him wherever he goes
Tumblr media
He also has quite a jokey-snappy relationship with Toga
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s a relationship built on trust and acceptance with these two
Plus, there’s this connection as well
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I’m still convinced these two concocted a plan on their own or smthg)
And then of course we have Toga who only joined the League for Stain
Tumblr media
And despite only just meeting, and Tomura calling her a freak, he still defends her
Tumblr media
And then of course we have this lil moment in Kamino
Tumblr media
Then that abandoned building scene, where Toga doubts Tomura’s leadership and he shows his face to reassure her and show that he won’t hide his intentions either
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And she calls to let him know the details of what is happening with Chisaki
Tumblr media
Then we have this in MVA
Tumblr media
Followed by
Tumblr media
And so on and so forth
Now, in no way am I saying people should stop talking about Tomura, Dabi and Toga as a trio, because I like them too! I love their potential together and I love that each and every part of that trio is 1) part of the Villains Who Are Set Up To Be Saved group 2) all of them are very important in the topic of “Heroes Fucked Us Up And Don’t Listen To Us”
But I also think about Tomura, Twice and Toga in correlation with that extra page at the top of this post, and why Hori chose to draw them together
Sure, Twice is comic relief too, so adding him into a funny drawing of the League being goofy is no big deal. But there’s also more to that and his relationship with Tomura and Toga
Toga and Tomura’s relationship alone is built on trust, as I’ve already talked about above
But continuing on to Toga and Twice, they have a lovely age-gap sibling dynamic, as well as being a comedic duo, that is so lovely to see. Their relationship is also built on trust, and they always support each other when they are in trouble or when Twice has an episode. They’re best friends!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then when we look at Twice and Tomura, we see that Twice was promised a place where he could belong
Tumblr media
But even after that promise, he’s met with Tomura’s decision of joining the Yakuza (without a proper explanation at first). And I’m not saying his trust wavered in Tomura at that point, but I’m sure it didn’t feel like it was a place to “belong” with “friends and allies” in that moment
Tumblr media
(Tomura even walks past Twice, like his comment didn’t mean anything)
Tumblr media
And then this, with Toga speaking her mind too
Tumblr media
That Tomura decides to take off Father and show his face too, just like Twice did; it’s a sign of recognition. It’s a sign that Tomura knows that they are human, and he’s working to make this mission benefit all of them
Tumblr media
Tomura takes off his mask just like Twice did his own. Tomura saw him do this and decided to show how much that meant to him
And then we have MVA, where Tomura continues to give him support and reassurance. It’s like after this moment in the abandoned building, he’s learnt to pay more attention to not just the League, but to Twice himself
Tumblr media
Twice can’t duplicate the bullet, but Tomura is only focused on thinking about alternatives and trying to find something that works for their goal. He’s not mad at Twice, he’s already accepted that Twice can’t duplicate it and has moved on
Then we have
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I also really love the part at the beginning of MVA where Tomura takes Twice’s mask as a way to get his attention and stop worrying
Tumblr media
And then he puts it back on him
Tumblr media
Idk man I just really love the idea of this trio
Tomura and Twice really connected with each other, and Toga has a sibling-like relationship with both of them. It’s really sweet!
Once again, this isn’t me saying “sToP LiKinG tHe ToMuRa, ToGa AnD dAbI tRiO”, because I really like them too
It’s just that I really think the Tomura, Toga and Twice trio is underrated and should be looked into as well. I love their potential and they really seem so close with each other :)
Then again, so do the League in general, but I’m just focusing on these three for the sake of this post
They really seem like the group of friends where Toga and Twice make their jokes and will be really silly, while Tomura is influenced by them and joins in too
Basically this is me
Tumblr media
Thank you for reading this far, here’s these three being cute:

He Doesn't Love Me by  Fatally
“Dabi doesn't love him. He's accepted that thorny truth, swallowed it down and let briars grow in his chest, drinking down his blood like water.Or: The one in which Hawks settles for pining for his entire life and doesn't realize Dabi's been staring at him the entire time, too.”
-- I love pinning Hawks with a burning passion.

You can't trap the sky in a bottle by thyandra
“Letting Toga organize the accommodations for their trip might have been a mistake. This particular truth becomes obvious to Keigo as he opens the door of his hotel room for the first time. There, staring back at him mockingly, is a single, king-sized bed. It’s only by virtue of all the years spent perfecting his poker face around his adoptive parents, that he manages to keep his face straight. At his side, Touya clicks his tongue. “They must’ve given us the wrong key.””
--(no quirks AU) I really love they way Dabi and Hawks are written here i can’t express it in words and so so much pinning

“"Skeptic's starting to think he’s more important than me,” Toga sneers, an acidic edge to her voice. “Making decisions on his own, sending out birdie without even talking to me first.”
She’d simply acquiesced to cooperating with Skeptic, but from day one the complaints had never stopped. In this tiny room layered with sushi and cakes, Dabi was forced to listen to her whining.”
-- You go birb, you get that man
Completed
Equivalent Exchange by  inexchangeforyoursoul
“Keigo blinks the blurry oblivion away from his eyes, although some part of it is oddly stubborn and to stay indefinitely. There's three things he's certain of: first, he’s alive. Second, just by looking at the bed and windows he can tell this is no villain hospital or torture room. Third: something feels wrong. Very wrong.
The silence… is deafening.

“A little voice inside his head whispered spitefully about how this was no place for a child, and how he was making a mistake and would only traumatize the kid, yada yada. He responded with an equally spiteful-
“Fuck off, its not like I planned to do arson today.”
(or: how Dabi becomes a good dad just to spite his own, realizes he kinda sorta maybe likes Hawks for realsies, begrudgingly admits the League cares and finally comes to terms with his protective side. Not in that order.)“
-- this legit made me laught out loud idk what else tell you
Completed
The Todoroki In-Laws by  aphrodaisyacs
“Over 10 years after the fight against the Paranormal Liberation Front, Rumi, aka the part-time hero Miruko and the proud wife of one Todoroki Fuyumi, decides it would be an awesome idea to create a groupchat with the significant others of the other Todoroki siblings.
Maybe things would be easier if its members weren’t two Pro Heroes, a former one and a rehabilitated villain, but…Honestly, where’s the fun in that?”
-- this is not dabihawks focused but it’s so funny pls

Hey, just wanted to know if you could rank MHz ships from least to worse?
MHZ? Do you mean MHA? LOL there are so many that could go on for infinity. I guess there are some ‘main’ ships, so I guess I’ll try and rank them.
24. Izuocha
I guess not so much the fandom as the confusing mess that has become their relationship in canon makes it my least favorite. I think it’s too late in the story to salvage this one for me or make me happy that they’re apparently supposed to end up together; it jus keeps getting less interesting as time goes on.
23. KiriBaku
I also just don’t get this one. Like, yeah, it’s nice that Kacchan has a friend, but the second biggest ship in the fandom? I probably wouldn’t have anything against it if it was just middle of the road popular, but the overexposure makes me dislike it.
22. KiriKami
Kinda in a similar vein, though this one I’m just neutral too. Nice friends, kinda sweet, nothing else.
21. Todo/Ii/Deku
Same as above.
20. Kirideku
I like this one better since Kiri has an actual emotional lbackstory piece with Midoriya that connects them and they share interesting things in common.
19. MomoKendo
I really enjoy MomoKendo, and all the ships from here on out; it just has less screentime and therefore less of my attention.
18. Erasermic
This is another one that feels to me like it’s really really popular, but as a ship for my books just kind of ok. Like, they’re childhood friends and all, but what else?
17. Melissa/Mei
A rarepair that I think is important and should get more attention.
16. Eraserjoke
Similar to Erasermic, though at least this one has a bit more chemistry (in my opinion)
15. Shinsou/Kaminari
I do like this one; it just has very limited screentime, so it lands in the middle.
14. DabiHawks
LOL I guess I like this one because it seems like the only viable ship for either character. I guess there’s also Touya/Tomura but they don’t really hang out that much.
13. Iida/Mei
These two do have some really fun chemistry, even if they don’t get that much screentime.
12. EraserCloud
This has sort of beck my favorite Aizawa ship. I’m a sucker for that Winter Soldier/Obito dynamic.
11. Kacchako
Yeah even though they don’t have much screentime I still like this one more than Izuocha. If the Wonder duo have to end up in straight pairings I’d be all for the Kacchako/Midotsuyu pairing. Or the OT3 option.
10. Togachako
Uraraka has like half the pairings on this list lol. Anyway these two have really grown on me since last year’s arc finally let Ochako reciprocate Toga’s affection a bit.
9. Tododeku
These two are undeniably sweet together. They’re the least interesting corner of the OT3 trinity to me, but I get why they’re popular.
8. Tsuyu/Ochako
Definitely one of Ochako’s most stable relationships and the most prominent Tsuyu pairing.
7. KamiJirou
Love their chemistry.
6. MomoJirou
Grown on me over KamiJirou due to their friendship, but this is another one where the OT3 option is nice.
5. Iida/Ochako
The most balanced Ochako ship and Iida ship. Largest part in each other’s lives and most supportive dynamic.
4. TodoMomo
Also Todoroki and Momo’s most balanced pairing, though only my second favorite Shoto ship.
3. KiriMina
Easy winner for Kirishima and Ashido.
2. TodoBaku
LOL they have so much chemistry. It’s not even funny. And now they’ve got friendship and substance to their bond too. I love them.
1. BakuDeku
Huge shocker, I know. OTP from the start, still now.
hope that answers it. LOL what if the ask meant a different show.

I'm glad you finally finished naruto so i can talk about the main reason why this fandom so pissed about a possible redemption for shigaraki, ever since ch 295 came out fans became furious that we will get another naruto situation like "so deku is gonna talk no jutsu shigaraki and call him cool guy after everything he done?" "another talk no jutsu BS why can't the hero just kill the villain for once" "another naruto and sasuke" and many other dumb comments but these are the most common.
These people act like naruto invented redemption just because horikoshi said he's a big fan of naruto and star wars that's why some fans think a redemption for tomura would ruin his character like obito and some think he will have a redemptive death like darth vader (their characters are kinda similar) because they think he can't have happy ending and forgiven for everything he has done and his life is just miserable, that's basically how the majority of the fandom think about tomura's redemption dabi and toga don't have this issue though compared to shiggy.
Sorry I talked too much but this is something I wanted to talk about with you for a while now.
I’ve seen these comments myself even before I read Naruto. And my question is—what do these people think made Naruto so successful as a manga?
There are so many stories/movies/shows that are punitive in nature and tell stories where the hero kills the villain. There’s plenty to choose from. The world is their oyster.
Those people who like stuff like that should just watch cop shows and shut the fuck up.
One of my favorite things about Naruto was that no villain in it was really a villain. In fact half of them didn’t have a “redemption” arc as much as they ended their involvement in the story showing the compassionate/human side of themselves. The villains in Naruto were just people. And Naruto’s role was to show us the human side of everyone, regardless of what they’d done.
Sasuke is my favorite from Naruto and even though I knew Naruto would bring him back, I was still so invested in their story line together. Those types of stories where relationships and friendships are focused on heavily make me, and I’m sure other people, feel really good. I loved Sasuke’s arc, and I loved his and Naruto’s friendship reconciling. It was my fav 💙
And for the record, the talk no jutsu fucking slaps. It works for stories where relationships between characters are so important, such as in Naruto and BNHA. Both of those stories are about connections between people and people being able to reach and understand each other’s hearts. Naruto and Sasuke at the end both mentioned how they knew what the other was feeling when they were fighting, and because of those feelings Sasuke still felt he had to get rid of Naruto. That was heavy and powerful and moments like that only work well when words are exchanged.
People like happy endings. And those who don’t? Well, okay, fine, but go read something else. Don’t bitch because a story that obviously isn’t a miserable tale from the get-go isn’t going down the dark miserable path you want. Ugh.
But anyway—BNHA is….definitely Naruto. It is. There are so many things in Naruto that brought me to very specific things in BNHA, and were structured in such a way that just showed me that Hori really was inspired by Naruto and he used a lot of what was in it. That’s not a bad thing, because they’re both different stories, but they have the same skeletal base. And people can deny that all they want by saying “this isn’t Naruto!”, but where has that gotten them? They’ve been wrong time and time again because they don’t wanna just admit that BNHA IS another Naruto. Chapter 295 pissed people off, I remember. And then chapter 305 just drilled nail in the coffin on their little “Deku would never wanna save Shig after what he did” argument. Lol, guess again. When those chapters came out I was euphoric 😂.
But like idk why people even bother reading stuff like BNHA and Naruto if they just want a punitive ending like…go watch cop shows and movies. They’ll give you exactly what you want. Shounen manga is not gonna be what you want so maybe idk, find different material to read. Also American super hero comics/movies are what they’re looking for too. Go watch/read those and shut up and let us have our corny “love and friendship fixes everything” story ending please. There’s a reason it’s used in manga a lot. It makes people feel good and hopeful about real life, because real life sucks and we read to fiction to escape it. Why would I wanna read something grim dark when my real life is grim dark every fucking day lol.
Needless to say I agree. And yes I used to see those comments everywhere, until I realized that Twitter is a cesspool and stopped getting on there.

Now, for the fake quarantine dating au aka the Fuyumi has gone feral au, we’ve now got 3/4 todoroki siblings hanging around the league of villains. Obviously this can only go well. Incorporating some lovely suggestions I got in here.
Fuyumi is now on quite good terms with most of the league. She’s practically adopted Toga as her new younger sister. Because really, the girl is quite sweet when she’s not stabbing people and she’s still a teenager. Fuyumi is a really good influence on Toga and while there’s obviously a lot of things she can’t help with, she’s able to at least get Toga to be better about consent and stalking.
Twice & Fuyumi become super close, at first just because Twice is keeping an eye on her to make sure she’s not taking information she’s not supposed to, but it quickly becomes a regular friendship. Twice is extremely supportive of Fuyumi and honestly he’s just so happy to be helpful that Fuyumi can’t help but like him.
She’s so used to being in a caretaker/helper role, that Twice being so eager to help her out is unfamiliar to her, but honestly a godsend at the same time. Twice helps her manage the new extra workload of being a villain, and encourages her to keep going when she starts worrying that she’ll never find Touya.
I should mention in here that the league is actually the paranormal liberation front by this point, and Skeptic/Re-Destro/the others are hanging around, and at the very least Skeptic and Re-Destro are aware of who Fuyumi is and why she’s here/that she’s not really a villain, but honestly they’re just so relieved that there’s an Adult that Tomura and the others will listen to and who seems to actually know what’s she’s doing, so they’re keeping their mouths shut.
There’s probably a good month in here where Fuyumi suspects that Geten might be Touya who got quirk swapped by AFO, but eventually that theory gets disproved, putting her back at square one.
Under Fuyumi’s guidance, the league rescues Kurogiri from jail (although none of the core members are aware of his status), so now they have two Real Adults around, which is great.
Tomura is extremely happy to have his foster father back. Kurogiri is so proud of the progress he’s made while he was gone (and he 100% pulls Fuyumi aside privately to thank her for getting Tomura to dress respectably), and the two of them have a genuinely nice reunion.
One problem: Tomura now has now been dating Natsuo for a month, has caught Serious Feelings, but nobody knows about any of this and Tomura doesn’t even know how to go about telling anyone, let alone Kurogiri.
It doesn’t help that 1) since he accidentally told Natsuo his old name, Tenko, he then had to tell Natsuo that he’s still in the closest and ask him not to mention him to anyone by name to stop that from getting out. 2) Natsuo has no idea that he’s a villain, let alone the leader of the league of villains, because for obvious reasons, Tomura doesn’t think that will go over well.
He doesn’t want to lie to his boyfriend, but he doesn’t know how to tell the truth either. There’s so many things he can’t say, and even though he’s mostly just been avoiding answering certain questions, it’s still weighing on him.
All of which comes to a head one evening when the two of them are lying in bed, not doing much besides cuddling, something that is still extremely foreign to Tomura and which makes him a bit nervous, even with special gloves on. Maybe it’s how undemanding Natsuo is for answers, or maybe it’s because getting Kurogiri back has made Tomura more brave, or maybe it’s just that he’s kept secrets for too long, but regardless, Tomura’s the one who breaks the silence.
“I feel like- I- There’s things you should know. About me. That I haven’t told you. That I need to tell you. But-” And he doesn’t even know where he was going with that, because he can’t tell Natsuo, but god he needs to.
“Hey, hey, hey, easy.” Natsuo has a grin on his face, softer than his normal one but every bit as bright. “It’s okay. I mean, if there’s things you want to tell me, than I’m happy to listen, but you don’t owe me answers or anything. I get it. Everyone’s got skeletons in their closet. If you’re not ready to tell me yet, that’s just fine.”
God, he was so nice and Tomura wanted nothing more than to take him up on that, but all the same he knows that Natsuo wouldn’t be saying that if he knew.
“I want you to know, but I also don’t. Because it’ll change things. Don’t try to say it won’t. I know it will. There’s no way it won’t. And you deserve to know about it, but I don’t know how to tell you. I want you to know, but I like things how they are too and I don’t want them to change.”
Natsuo’s quiet for a moment, clearly considering before his fingers come up to gently stroke through Tomura’s hair, and fuck if that doesn’t help him calm down.
“Okay. I get that. It’s still okay if you aren’t ready yet though. If it makes you feel any better, there’s stuff I haven’t told you either, for the same reason. I like what we have now, and I don’t want to lose it. But hey even if knowing more about each other will change things, that doesn’t mean it’ll be worse. Just different. Change can be good too. Who knows.”
Again, it takes a lot for Tomura not to interrupt and say he knows this won’t be a good change. But he manages. He doesn’t manage to find any other words to say though, too busy wondering what secrets someone as kind as Natsuo could possible have.
“Tell you what, I’ve been meaning to get this off my chest anyways, so how about I go first? Then if you feel like telling me your stuff, you can, or we can just save it for another night. Okay?”
Tomura nods, because that sounds nice, and who knows, maybe he’ll get lucky and Natsuo will reveal that he’s a villain too or something.
“Alright, here goes; the reason I haven’t told you my last name is because it’s Todoroki. And yes, it is the Todoroki you’re thinking of. Endeavor’s my father, and Shouto Todoroki, from the UA sports festival and stuff, that’s my younger brother.”
Oh god fucking damn it.
Suddenly, Tomura’s brain helpfully supplies him with a few facts.
He has, while not directly tried to kill Natsuo’s (and Fuyumi’s???) father, enabled Dabi to attempt something of that scale.
Wait, doesn’t Dabi have a grudge against that guy? It’d always been a bit weird to Tomura, but he hadn’t really questioned it. Not until now. That’s going to be a major problem.
“I didn’t tell you for a few reasons. One, I didn’t want you to like me or not like me because of him. Two, I noticed you were kinda jumpy about hero stuff and I didn’t want to scare you off, and three, my relationship with him is kinda... complicated. Definitely not great. It’s got to do with a lot of things, but Touya’s a pretty big part of it all.”
It takes everything in Tomura’s body to hold back his instinctive responses of ‘Do you want me to kill him for you?’, because at this point he doesn’t want to make that offer unless he means it, and he might mean it soon. Depending on a few things. He let’s his gut guide his tongue instead.
“You’re brother’s pretty important to you, huh?”
Natsuo laughs, and it’s something soft and bittersweet, but fond. Still so very fond.
“Yeah, I mean, both of them are. But Touya was my older brother. He was always looking out for me. He was a pretty sickly kid, but he had a fire in him like nobody I’ve ever met. Literally and metaphorically. I still remember how some older kids tried to pick on me after school- it must’ve been ten years ago now- he was so tiny back them, but that didn’t stop him. They weren’t taking him seriously, one of them asked him what he planned to do against them when he wasn’t even up to their shoulders.”
This time Natsuo’s smile is more fond, lost in memories. Something about this is causing ideas to connect in Tomura’s brain, and he knows it’s heading towards something, but he’s scared to get there. Why though?
“Touya looked the guy right in the eye said ‘This’, and without blinking or even changing his expression, just with a little flick of his hand, he sent a wave of flames across the ground. Before they could do anything, he melted their shoes in place so they couldn’t do anything. Then, while they were panicking about it, he got his big creepy grin on his face. The kid who’d been leading them looked up and I think he almost fainted out of fear when he realized that he couldn’t fight back or get away. He apologized real after after that, promised they’d never do it again, and Touya said they better not, or next time it wouldn’t be their shoes that he melted. Then he turned on his heel, grabbed my hand and walked me all the way back home. I never got picked on again after that. But that was Touya for you, nothing ever scared him.”
Vividly, a memory flashes in front of Tomura’s eyes of some low level grunt getting in Dabi’s face. The guy had been getting a bit too friendly with Toga while she was still recovering from her eye injury. She was on pain meds at the time, and honestly Tomura had been about to decay the guy where he stood when Dabi stepped in and told him to back off. Apparently the guy thought he was hot shit because he asked why he should.
The very next second, blue flames had erupted and the guy was stuck in place, bound by his own shoes and helpless to do anything but simper out apologizes as those flames hovered around him, the smell of burning flesh hitting the air. Tomura hadn’t heard what Dabi had said, but he’d heard the rumors afterwards. ‘Next time, my flames will be burning a whole lot more than just your feet. Got it?’.
He hadn’t actually burned the guy’s feet off all the way, but it was enough to leave scars as a reminder.
Tomura had wondered many a time what Dabi was like when he was younger. Before he was Dabi.
It was almost funny, to find out that he’d always been like this. At least on some level.
Years of training was the only reason Tomura managed to keep a straight face and his voice somewhat even.
“Sounds like he was a pretty good brother.”
“Yeah. He really was. I miss him so much. All of us do. I know Fuyumi told you guys that she’s thinks he’s still out there, I don’t know if I believe that or not, but I don’t really have the heart to tell her to let it go. I probably should. It’s been years. I just... I just really like to think he’s still out there somewhere. I’d give almost anything to get him back, if I could, so I can hardly blame her for looking for him.”
Silence for a moment.
“Sorry, that’s kinda a lot to dump on you- I don’t really talk about him a lot these days.”
“No, no, it’s fine. I- I get it. My family- some of them anyways- it’s not the exact same, but it’s similar. I miss them a lot too. And-”
Tomura wanted to tell him the truth, but fuck, he couldn’t. As much as he wanted to tell his boyfriend that his brother was alive, had been this entire time, even now looked out for them because now that he was thinking about it, fuck, no wonder Dabi had been avoiding Fuyumi even while he vouched for her. But-
But it wasn’t his place to. That wasn’t his secret to share.
“-who knows, I can’t say I’m one to believe in miracles, but they do happen sometimes.”
Fuck that sounded sappy. It made Natsuo grin though, bright and wide, and so it was worth it. Worth the guilt that settled in Tomura’s chest, for all the things he couldn’t say yet.
Biting his bottom lip, Tomura decided to switch topics, meandering back to far lighter discussions of new games coming out soon. He’d wanted to tell Natsuo everything- but not tonight.
There was someone else he had to talk to first.

I was kinda hoping you'd write your options about the rest of the Shie Hassaikai, Nine and his team and the mla?
I'm ashamed of it but I haven't seen a single MHA movie ndskdnks So while I know Nine is a character in one of the movies, I have no idea which one and I know nothing else about him or his team, sorry!! I'll try to watch it this weekend hehe
Kurono: This man is pretty but I cannot think of a more ANNOYING quirk. The mere thought terrifies me. I would never let him get near me. Just thinking that he could touch me with his quirk and the sheer HUMILIATION and POWERLESSNESS that would come with it......... I would hate it. Nice character though, but he still gives me the shivers. I'd rather have Overhaul as an enemy than him.
Setsuno: The type of kinda unhinged character that I like. I enjoyed his presence when he was there. Don't really miss him now.
Rappa: Super interesting!!! I loved his personality and the way he interacted with Fatgum and Kirishima. Super cool plot point I think.
Mimic: I hate his guts. I have a burning hatred for any mascot-type character (though I know it's not his real body, I don't care) and he's just plain annoying. Has an interesting quirk but i did not care for the character other than that. Kinda wish he didn't exist.
Re-Destro: GET THAT MAN AWAY FROM ME WITH HIS HUGE ASS NOSE. The type of arrogant boot-licker that I hate. Which is not to say I don't find him interesting as a character, I would simply wish for his death if I'd known him irl. But even then, I'm only interested in him for the way he helps Tomura's development.
Curious: Interesting interactions with Toga but then again I was more interested in Toga's side than hers, which I think was kinda the point. Cool t see a journalist character, though, I love those.
Trumpet: Gives me super bad vibes. Don't really remember anything important about him.
Skeptic: Idk why but I love his design??? Not like in a "omg he's so hot/pretty" way but in like "Idk I like looking at him" way. He's my second fav out of the MLA bunch, but idk if I'd ever write for him because I don't see him that way.
Geten: MY BOY. The only one I really, truly like out of the MLA. I'd make him friendship bracelets and force him to wear one. I really, really hope we'll get to see him again at some point.
Tell me if there are others you'd like me to talk about!

Horikoshi’s writing of Shouto and the problems I have with it
If you’re a fan of the way Shouto’s treated in the manga, don’t read, we’ll end up disagreeing on everything and you’ll probably end up offended lol. Because I’m not (satisfied, that is).
This post is spoiler-heavy for anime onlys, and for manga readers not up to date with the last arc (and last chapter for that matter, which is 301).
So, about Shouto and how he’s handled, along with ‘his’ story.
I don’t get how Horikoshi, whose writing I respect immensely, managed to depict such an incredible and alluring storyline with the Todoroki family, with some of the most complex character writing I’ve seen, but fumbled the one character he had to actually focus on.
Literally more than half the people in the Todoroki storyline are more interesting and more developed than Shouto at this point. Hawks, Endeavour, Dabi, Rei… a good bunch of fans are way more invested in their story than his, and I am too. It’s really sad, because if you asked me two years ago Shouto would have probably been one of my favorite character. But he was completely shafted, given no internal conflict, and at this point, I have the same interest in him as I do for Fuyumi and Natsuo, which basically means his only interesting feature to me is that he’s Endeavour’s child (oh, and he does have a cool design, but that can only get you so far).
Deku and Katsuki are more popular than him by a landslide compared to before if we believe the Japanese popularity polls, because Hori actually bothers to give them focus, conflict, and cool moments (even though, sometimes I feel like Horikoshi forgets Deku’s his main character lol). It’s a testament to how great Shouto was and how much potential had that he’s still that popular despite everything. Because, let’s be real, Endeavour and Dabi have taken the focus because they have much more emotional energy, while Shouto is just stuck in the crossfire, as a punching ball and stress relief (and eventually as the person who’ll save him I guess) for Touya (see how he was relegated to first aid during the big fight against Tomura? how he did absolutely nothing against Touya who was burning him alive? And how Touya had no interest in Shouto outside of the fact he was Endeavour’s son? Story of the way Hori treats him). He has no particular interesting insight to give on the Todoroki family either as he was too small to remember the important events, so even on this point we can’t count on Horikoshi to write something for him, everything comes from Fuyumi, Natsuo, and Rei. He's really had one great moment in S2 and S3 and that’s it. The way Horikoshi struggles to give him a personality doesn’t help either (he admitted some time ago he was hard to write sometimes, and… yeah, I can see that).  I’m really trying to like his character but the manga gives us nothing, and keeps developing Endeavour, Dabi, and Hawks, which is great (I really love all three of them) but makes no sense given who’s supposed to be the main focus.
In the Endeavour agency arc, Endeavour’s thoughts and struggles were heavily touched upon, and Bakugou and Deku are in sync for 90% of it while Shouto’s just… there. as fodder for Endeavour, and maybe as a link between Endeavour and Bakugou/Deku too. He’s supposed to be a part of both these storylines, but instead, he just ends up as a way for them to overlap. we don't even take a peek in his thoughts, even though it's supposed to be an arc about the Todorokis!
I say all this as someone who eagerly waited for the day Horikoshi would portray Shouto, Katsuki, and Deku as a trio, but yeah, Shouto feels more like a third wheel than anything. if he wanted to establish them that way, he should have done it right after the sports festival arc, but after this arc, they have no scene together, and the focus shifted on Deku and Katsuki. Too little too late I guess.
To come back to the Todoroki storyline, I feel like Horikoshi simply woke up one day and decided Endeavour was more interesting to write lmao. at this point, it’s more Endeavour’s storyline than Shouto’s, even though Shouto’s supposedly one of the main characters. it has come to a point where, even though I know it ought to focus on Shouto because he’s (at least he should be) the main focus of this particular storyline, I’m hoping it won’t, because that’s just the least interesting aspect of this whole thing.
I’d say even Ochako’s treated better by the story, because at least Horikoshi tries to challenge her views and beliefs (even though for now it’s not very conclusive), while Shouto’s inner growth hasn't been put into question in how many chapters?
(btw, by inner growth, I’m not talking about his problem with his fire side, because that’s just been rinse and repeat for more than 200 chapters. I mean, srsly it’s been already 3 times since this problem has caused him to lose/fail... and it's not even satisfying like Katsuki or Deku (except for the first time in the sport festival, because that was when his character was still handled very well by Horikoshi). Why? Simply because when he loses, the stakes aren’t high, it’s all training or exams, so he’s just like, "oh, I have to maybe learn how to deal with it!", but there’s no real pressure he’s under. It’s not like Deku, who, if he does not progress, will break all his bones, and who failed to rescue Katsuki because of his broken arms (=and had a mental breakdown immediately afterwards and blamed himself). It’s not like Katsuki either, because Katsuki has a personality that makes low stakes feel like high stakes, which isn’t the case for Shouto. just compare Shouto's reaction when he loses because of his setbacks to Katsuki's reaction when he lost to Deku the first time (mental breakdown), or when Katsuki failed the provisional license exam (another mental breakdown, not caused just by his failing, but yeah). And anything else about Shouto's inner growth is tied to his reaction to Endeavour’s arc, which isn’t a flaw, and 100% depends on the way Endeavour acts. Apart from this, he has 0 internal conflict).
Sorry, I’ve gone off on a tangent lol.
To get back to the point I was making, and to further develop my analogy with Ochako, let’s look at their relationship with Deku, because there’s a major difference there, which is clearly in favor of Ochako.  Deku has a big impact on Ochako, yes, but the reverse is also true. People complain she’s all about him (which, yeah, probably), but at least, she made a big impact on him too. She was the main reason ‘Deku' became his hero name. Shouto and Deku have a nice friendship, and Deku clearly considers him one of his best friends. but... it’s all one-sided in terms of impact, I can’t think of a single thing Shouto has done who changed/motivated Deku, while Deku literally changed his life. Because of this, he’s not one of the people who’s intrinsically tied to Deku’s character development, because he’s not Ochako, Inko, Katsuki or All Might (and probably soon Tomura).
His writing feels so fast compared to the others too. Shigaraki / Deku and Toga / Ochako have been paralleled for ages, have had a conversation at least once, and have had deep encounters early on. Nonetheless, both Deku and Ochako are just coming to terms with the fact these villains aren’t so different from them. However, Shouto’s only interaction with Dabi is a ten second eye contact when Dabi kidnapped Katsuki. Dabi had more interactions with Endeavour for fuck's sake! Shouto then learns Dabi’s Touya, and speed runs the development of Ochako and Deku. He doesn’t even need 10 chapters to process they’re ’the same'. Where were all the reflection and doubts? Okay, it’s his brother, so the parallels are easier, but still, it shows Horikoshi doesn’t allow Shouto to have that much introspection, and I feel it’s because Horikoshi just doesn’t care that much. Even worse! Horikoshi introduces another hero parallel to Dabi in the character of Hawks. A parallel much more interesting and compelling, because it parallels Dabi MUCH BETTER. They’re opposites in every ways (particularly in regards to their relationship with Endeavor), and know each other. Touya and Shouto don’t even seem to have spoken to each other...
And so, the only thing that still was interesting and that Horikoshi still bothered to develop was Shouto’s relationship with Endeavour, but in the end, even that was overshadowed by the much more complex, fucked up, and challenging relationships of Endeavour and Touya (and Endeavour and Hawks) as seen in 301 and before. Clearly the one Dabi’s fixated on is Endeavour.
one last thing: Shouto's stuck in a weird loop where Horikoshi kind of makes him comes close of the Bakugou and Deku duo, and then when we start to think they’re an actual trio, he does everything in his power to make it very clear how that’s NOT where he belongs either, since OFA/All Might/Deku/Katsuki is another storyline. It’s as if Horikoshi doesn’t want him here (see: how he decided the ‘win all might’ scene didn’t have to include him), but puts him there sometimes anyway. It’s probably because Shouto’s so popular, which, yeah, would be fine, if he could stick to it!
His supposed admiration for All Might (I feel like everybody forgets it's a part of his character, and I don't blame them) is brought up once every blue moon, which compared to Deku and Katsuki, is just ridiculous. And, once again, All Might has a much deeper and more interesting relationship with Endeavour than with Shouto. At this point, I don’t even know what Hori could do to make me want to read about him. I much prefer the dynamic of Hawks/Endeavour/Touya and Katsuki/Deku/All Might.
I hope the future will prove me wrong for his character. Actually, I hope everything I’m saying is wrong and idiotic, and Horikoshi will make every scene I criticized worth it and a means to an end. I mean, he clearly has the talent and writing ability to pull off some of the best character development I’ve ever seen, so anything’s possible. but yeah, I don’t really believe it for now, and I’m frustrated, because Shouto had so much potential.
tldr; I liked Shouto as a character, but he dwindled after some time, and now I feel as if he’s not the focus of his own storyline, because this place is occupied by the much more dynamic relationships of Endeavour, Touya and Hawks. And I’m not even mad, because their dynamic is much more interesting. However, I feel like Horikoshi grew bored of Shouto, and has put much more soul into Katsuki and Deku as of late.
I’m welcoming any responses, if people are seeing an aspect of his character I don’t, please enlighten me! I miss enjoying his character, and I’m not opposed to seeing him in a different light. I just needed to put down my thoughts in writing to make sense of them lol.

random details about my shugadabi I DON'T DANCE au because why not:
This particular au was born from me listening to (of course!) I Don't Dance from the HSM2 soundtrack... And Shrek, I must admit. A lot of Shrek.
The first scene that I got on my head was of the Lov gang on a fair of sorts, where Touya would slowly realize how much he's missed Tomura in his life. It was very playful, with Accidentally In Love playing on the background as the sun sets on them.
The other scene was of Dabi and Tomura's first big baseball facedown during Tomura's challenge game. It's their first interaction on approximately 12 years and maaaan, Touya can only think about how Tomura still knows how to push all his right buttons. Tomura's pitching and Dabi's on the bat. Things scalate between them to a full fight that ends up in seconds. Tomura throws his ass to the ground super fast and 'cause Touya got a little distracted looking at his face so closely. You'd think it'd make him mad, but it made him horny lol.
Maybe the main pov would be Dabi's.
It has a juvenile romance vibe to me?!?! It's full of pop songs and cliché moments that play into the whole irony sense. The joke is that people turned their deal into the main entertaining act of the season, but the bubble gum scene they live in doesn't match the complexity of what they're going throught. Although they accept romance in the form of pop, it's also a cover for all the rotten history between them.
A big part of our society has this idea of sports and arts being a supreme way to deal with your emotions, but I want to depict here the ugly side of it. Many artists and athletes seem to lose their humanity in their search for perfection, an option the people in power prefer. At some point Tomura starts creating for the pressure of creating and Touya realizes he hasn't really enjoy a game in fucking years, too caught up in making his passion a vehicle of his revenge. You could say this is also a story about how your traumas can even ruin the things you enjoy and take away years from you, but it's never too late to learn how to enjoy those hobbies again, this time for yourself, your enjoyment, your comfort.
I think it's gonna be a no quirks au and I'm gonna use the quirks as allegories /motifs / metaphors of what the characters want and how they feel.
I don't know enough about Japan to make this fic realistic and sadly I don't have the time to research, so the places don't matter at all and I'm inventing it, okay?
It's sloooooow burn. I enjoy a lot the friendship dynamic of those two, so it's gonna be first chapter after chapter of them becoming besties and rivals again.
I promise the background characters havw their own thing going on and it is important for the story. For example, at some point you'll get to see Toga's past and why she's been taking art classes with Tomura. She wants to express her experience as a weird girl through horror paintings with details made with real blood.
Do you gremlins want the link to the spotify playlist to this au?

Imagine: You settled in with the League of Villains; but during a mission, the warehouse gets raided!
Part One
Tumblr media
Living with the League of Villains went a lot more smoothly than you thought; it felt like the worst was behind you now. Kai was imprisoned for the rest of his life and could never hurt anyone anymore with his quirk. The warehouse where the League of currently hiding out in wasn’t fancy or anything great but it was clean and warm. Tomura gave you a large enough room with a few windows, he didn’t want to risk giving you the room with the most windows in case there would be snipers up if they were cornered.
Surprisingly, everyone was accepting and friendly though Dabi and Tomura had to repeatedly threaten Himiko not to be around you with sharp objects. Himiko enjoyed feeling your swollen belly and ramble about her little dark thoughts and strangely enough, it was oddly comforting. Being isolated for so long made you appreciate any human contact and you trusted Himiko enough to never harm you or the baby.
Though, the person you became closest to was Dabi.
It was a strange friendship but Dabi would always shadow you whenever Tomura didn’t have him running around on scouting missions. Dabi was a source of comfort to not only your baby but to you too; you didn’t think you feel ever feel that because of Kai, to be honest.
Dabi would always ask questions about your time in captivity but rarely answered your own questions about your past; it didn’t bother you though. As for care for the baby, Tomura hired a villain doctor to come by every day to check up on you and the baby; it was too risky leaving the warehouse.
The police and heroes were on high alert and searching for the League of Villains and much to your shock, you.
“Why would they care about me?” You remember asking Tomura with fear. You had seen the news and immediately went to Tomura for answers.
Tomura, who had been in the middle of planning a mission with Dabi, didn’t seem bothered by your intrusion, “The baby inside your stomach.” Tomura spoke quietly and both villains watched as you flinched at his answer and went to cradle your belly. “They probably want to imprison you and take away your baby because his father is a villain.”
“But I was his victim!” You cried in horror, “So is my baby! They didn’t do anything!” You remember feeling fear; they would condemn an innocent child? After everything Kai did to the both of you?
“They don’t care,” Dabi interjected softly as you looked at him with fear-induced tears in your eyes, “In their eyes, you’re a villain due to association of Kai and your baby is just as guilty as their father.”
Tomura saw your body tremble and gently ushered you into sitting down, “You don’t have anything to worry about,” Tomura reassured confidently, “I told you we would protect you and your baby, didn’t I?” He questioned firmly.
You nod quickly in response and sniffle.
Tomura sits down across from you, “Then trust in our capability in keeping you both safe, okay? We have escape plans in place in case they find us, we have our next hideout scouted and cleared, and we’re getting ready for your little one. You don’t have anything to worry about except delivering that little baby into this world, you got that?”
You smiled faintly; that conversation had only been a week ago.
“I have your food,” Dabi’s grim and smooth voice snapped you out of your thoughts, “Tomura wants you to know that most of us will be gone for a few hours on a mission,” Dabi spoke indifferently as he walked towards you; Spinner had been kind enough to acquire a rocking chair for you a few days ago, “Here.” He plopped your meal on the little table you had nearby.
“Did you get anything for yourself?” You asked getting up and waddling over to the food, “You know I hate eating alone.” You mused as Dabi handed you your udon curry.
Dabi rolled his eyes, “You hate being alone in general.”
You chuckled, “I only wonder why that is,” Dabi pinned you with a cold look; any mentions of Kai in front of Dabi would result in a nasty look. It was safe to say that if anyone hated Kai almost as much as Tomura did, it was Dabi. “Sorry,” You sighed as Dabi brought out his meal, “Oh, what did you get?” You asked with raised eyebrows.
“Pork cutlet bowl with curry, do you want a bite?” Dabi asked offering his bowl.
You shook your head, “Thank you, but no. I only ever see you eat when you decide to join me for my meals.” You said lifting the lid of the container for your udon curry, “Oh, it smells so good!” You moaned in delight and felt your baby kick and grunted, “Okay, okay, hold your horses.” You rubbed your stomach with a slight wince.
Dabi chuckled quietly, “She’s kicking more and more with each day, huh?” Ah, yes, since you wanted to keep the gender a surprise until birth, the gang had taken to placing bets on what the sex of the baby would be. Dabi, very obviously, betted on a girl.
“She wants to get out already,” You giggle, “I can’t wait to meet her.”
“I think everyone is excited to meet her, too.” Dabi muses settling himself in a chair and beginning to dig into his bowl. “Tomura wants to move to the new place as soon as you’re able to after birth,” Dabi says.
“Oh, yeah?” You asked since this was the first time you were hearing about this.
“We’re moving further out; somewhere remote,” Dabi munched on his food thoughtfully, “A dingy warehouse isn’t suitable for a newborn, ya know? Tomura wants to move somewhere where we can stretch our legs and get fresh air.”
“How thoughtful,” You smile softly, “I hope I can repay you guys for giving me a home and a family.” You speak gently.
“You don’t have to repay us anything,” Dabi tells you firmly, “You just focus on your baby and we’ll do our best to protect both of you.” It warmed your heart and you stared at Dabi with dewy eyes, “Please don’t start crying again.” Dabi sighed though there was amusement in his grim voice.
You sniffled and wiped at your eyes, “Shut up, I’m allowed to be emotional, okay?” You joked weakly.
The two of you slipped into a comfortable silence as both of you ate; you were getting drowsy and it was getting late in the evening. The food and Dabi had been gone for maybe an hour or two; he needed to secure the area before the group left for their mission.
“Y/N,” Tomura’s voice caught your attention, “Did Dabi tell you we were leaving tonight for a mission?” You blinked sleepily and wiped at your eyes but nodded, “Good, you’ll probably be asleep the entire time,” Tomura mused and beckoned you, “Come on, we set up a bed in the escape room.”
“Oh, yeah,” You yawned grabbing the soft blanket that Himiko gave you a few days prior, “I forgot that’s where I stay when no one else is here with me.” You waddled over to Tomura who took your arm and began guiding you down to the lower level of the warehouse, “I’m kinda nervous,” You admitted quietly, “This is the first time I’ll be alone.”
“I know,” Tomura responded kindly, “I know you don’t like being alone but you’ll be to hear everything we’re saying through the portable radio we’ll be leaving here,” You watched as Tomura helped you waddle down the stairs as the gang got suited up and ready for their mission.
“Looks like an important mission,” You say with wide eyes.
“Y/N!” Himiko squealed; geared up in her usual attire, “Ugh, you look ready to pop! I don’t know how I feel about leaving her on her own for the night, Tomura!” Himiko whined loudly.
You gently patted Himiko’s hair; a gesture that Himiko secretly loved, “I’ll be fine, Himiko, you worry about taking care of the boys.” You tell her.
Himiko perked and crowed, “You hear that? Y/N has put me in charge of watching out for you losers!”
“Losers?!” Twice shrieked, “We are losers,” Twice grumbled and added just as quickly, “I’ll stab you, Toga.”
“Twice, shut up,” Dabi muttered with annoyance.
“Y/N, do you want us to bring you something?” Himiko asked excitedly as she bounced up and down following as Tomura guided you to the escape room.
“Anything but a dead body or body parts, Himiko,” You gently muse.
Himiko squealed, “Oh my god, I have a perfect idea!”
“Toga,” Tomura spoke plainly, “Go finish your last task.”
Himiko pouted but nodded, “Whatever, bye, Y/N, we’ll be back before you know it!” Himiko said with a wide grin.
“You guys be safe, okay?” You say loud enough for the others to hear, “And come back home in one piece.” You were rewarded with positive responses as Tomura led you into the escape room. Typically, this was basically the war room but Tomura had added in a bed in the corner and a little fridge beside it.
“You should be asleep the entire time,” Tomura spoke, “But just in case, we left some food in the fridge for you in case the kid gets hungry. The radio is right here,” Tomura pointed to the portable talkie, “You’ll hear everything going on and be able to talk to us. You remember where the secret door is?” Tomura asked you patiently.
You nodded, “Yes,”
“And the code to open it?” He pressed.
You nodded again, “Yeah.”
“In case anything goes wrong, the map to the nearest safe house is right here in the drawer,” Tomura taps the nightstand next to the bed, “It isn’t far from here; you should be able to get there safely if we are to be raided.” Deep down, Tomura was riddled with anxiety and so was the rest of the gang; leaving a heavily pregnant woman on her own for even a few hours was a high risk. Kurogiri was halfway across the country at the moment on a secret mission for Tomura, so, they were making due at the moment.
“Got it.” You said with a determined nod.
Dabi came into the escape room, “We’re ready.”
Tomura nodded and patted the top of your head, “Go to sleep if you can, we’ll be back before you know it.” He reassured before heading out of the room; Dabi lingered behind and you smiled at him.
“Worried?” You teased softly.
Dabi frowned, “Yes.”
You pursued your lips, “We’ll be fine, Dabi.” You say confidently, “I can handle myself if anything happens.”
“I want you to respond when we ask for you, okay?” Dabi orders.
“You know I will,” You say as you put down the blanket that Himiko gave you on the bed, “I’ll probably be asleep after a while though,” You say with a yawn and sat down on the bed, “Be safe, okay?” You say softly.
Dabi pinned you with a look and you laughed softly as you looked down at your swollen belly, “I can’t help but to worry, ya know? Apart of me wants to go with you guys and help.”
“Your only job--”
“Is to focus on the well-being of my baby, I know.” You cut him off with a smile.
When you looked up, Dabi was walking towards you. As he reached you, he bent over to look into your eyes squarely, “You need to focus on your well-being, too.” He says quietly and all you could think of was how mesmerizing his eyes were. The color was such a deep, intense blue.
“Y/N,” Dabi mused noticing your staring, “Enjoying the view?” He teased very quietly; you almost didn’t hear it.
You stared up at him, “Yes,” You answered honestly.
Dabi’s stare seems to intensify and almost deepen in color, “Hmm,” He says thoughtfully before leaning away from you, “I’ll see you in a few hours, try not to burn the place down.” Dabi says with a snort.
You blink a few times unsure of what to make of the situation; was that flirting? Did he flirt? Did you just flirt back? Your head spun as Dabi turned to look at you with a smoldering look as Tomura came over and began closing the heavy, thick vault door, “Remember the plan, Y/N.” Tomura reminds you.
You nod and Tomura locks you in.
The radio started buzzing a few minutes after Tomura locks in you in the war room/escape room. You listen intently as you lay down and wait for sleep to take you; it didn’t take long for one the members to ask if you were still awake. You responded drowsily and it was enough for Tomura to be reassured for the last time before telling the rest of the gang to no longer talk to you.
You mumbled a soft ‘Be safe’ and ended up falling asleep unaware of the chaos about to ensue soon.
There was an explosion; it shook the ground and walls.
You blinked groggily and lifted your head up; there was another explosion and yelling outside. You looked at the radio and only heard radio silence. You got up and cried out when a sudden pain struck through you and when you looked down, you paled in horror. Your water had broke during your sleep and you hadn’t even felt. You grabbed the radio and said, “H-Hello? Are you guys here? I hear stuff going on outside.”
It was silent for a few seconds before Tomura’s voice sent chills down your spine, “Get out of there now.” Tomura snarled.
“Um,” Your heart began to hammer and a panicky feeling began to grow in your chest, “My water broke…” You whispered.
“Are you serious!?” Twice’s voice was shrill.
“I fucking knew it was risky leaving her on her own!” Dabi’s growled angrily.
“Tomura, we need to retreat!” Spinner snapped.
“No!” You cried out and groaned when a contraction rolled through you, “Finish the mission! I can handle this!” You were getting up and getting the map out of the drawer, “I’ll be at the safe-house!”
“Y/N, the safe-house wasn’t intended to be the birthplace of your kid!” Atsuhiro aka Mr. Compress sounded horrified at the idea.
“I should be fine! My contractions are still far apart!” You say through gritted teeth as you grabbed your blanket, shoes, the radio, and the map and began making way towards the hidden door, “Don’t jeopardize the mission for me, I’ll be fine.”
“Tomura!” Dabi hissed.
Their voices meshed together but as you were waddling through the hidden door and closing it behind you; Tomura spoke in a grave voice, “We can’t risk leaving and those bastards following us,” Tomura heaved a sigh, “Y/N, keep us updated. Keep talking.”
You spoke quietly, “I’m heading down the tunnel right now,” You breathed in and out noisily, “I feel light-headed and unsteady,” You admitted and held onto your swollen belly as Dabi began cursing to the High Heavens.
“The safe-house might be too far for her to walk to in her condition, Tomura.” Spinner spoke gravely.
“I can use my quirk but it might give me away,” You suggested.
“We don’t have eyes on the warehouse; they knocked out all the cameras.” Twice responded angrily, “Don’t they know how expensive those were!?”
The gang bickered but Dabi finally told everyone to shut up, “You guys aren’t helping Y/N so, shut the fuck up.”
“Kurogiri might be too far away for his warp gate to work,” Spinner inputted, “Tomura?”
“I’m calling him right now,’ Tomura snapped, “This was a fucking bad idea.”
“Y/N, stay where you’re at,” Dabi ordered and in the background, you could hear Tomura speaking furiously to Kurogiri.
“He’s on the way, Y/N,” Tomura quickly said, “Just hang on for a few minutes, what do you hear?” Tomura demanded.
“I hear a lot of yelling,” You mumbled, “Even from in the tunnel, I can feel their footsteps shaking the ground,” You leaned down and touched the ground and activated your quirk; the whole tunnel became engulfed in a red mist, “I count about forty or fifty policemen and several heroes.” You say.
“Are they at the vault door?” Tomura asked starting to get calm again.
“Yes,” You answered and felt the ground shake terribly, “They’re trying to take it down right now.”
“We can’t risk her getting out of the tunnel and someone spotting her,” Himiko shrieked loudly, “I’ll fucking stab anyone who touches you, Y/N!”
“Toga, relax,” Tomura ordered strictly.
You leaned against the wall and began breathing exercises that the doctor showed you earlier this week, “This is a shitshow and I’m sorry,” You apologized weakly.
“Do not apologize, you brat,” Dabi snapped.
You smiled gently.
“Dabi, that is no way to speak to a pregnant woman.” Atsuhiro scolded Dabi sounding insulted.
“They got through the vault door,” You whispered and whimpered when another contraction rolled through you, “Oh god,” You mumbled, “I feel her moving inside of me!”
“Fuck, fuck, fuck,” Dabi repeated.
“The baby’s coming!” Twice sang/shouted in a horrified manner, “Oh, shit, the baby’s fucking coming.”
“I wanted to see all the blood…” Himiko gloomily sighed.
“Y/N,” Kurogiri’s voice sounded behind you and you saw him standing in front of his warp gate, “How are you faring?” He asked reaching out for your hand.
You groaned, “She’s coming soon, Kuro.”
“Tomura has the doctor on standby, come,” Kurogiri guided her through the warp gate right as the police and heroes managed to find the tunnel but by the time they got to the end, you and Kurogiri were long gone; but they knew you were with the League of Villains because of the blood trail you left behind.
Kurogiri was informing the gang that he had gotten you safely to the doctor who had been preparing the room for the birth; he had two nurses with him and they were guiding you to the bed. “How are you feeling?” The doctor asked as they heaved you on the bed and he immediately checked you.
“Overwhelmed,” You answered meekly.
“It’ll be over soon,” He reassured confidently, “The baby’s on her way, are you ready to meet your kid?” The doctor smiled and despite of the long scar on his face; you felt excited and comfortable in his care.
“Yes.” You replied with confidence.

Tumblr media
Not A Child
Fandom: BNHA
Pairing: Shigaraki Tomura x Reader if ya squint
Warnings: Nothing major other than the fact that this story focuses on villain characters.
And it’s more of a friendship fic.
Prompt: “You’re seriously like a man-child”
~*~
Honestly, sometimes you couldn’t believe that Shigaraki Tomura was the leader of the League of Villains. Since you’d joined, you’d seen him throw at least five tantrums, his eating habits were the equivalent of a stubborn eight year old, and he had the manners of one as well.
Truly, you couldn’t believe that someone like him was the leader of anything.
“______-chan! ______-chan!” Toga called out, the younger blonde girl knocking you of balance as she tackled you into an affectionate hug. “Welcome home. I missed you!”
Considering the temperaments of the other members ranging from bratty kid to angsty teen, it didn’t really surprise you when you ended up being one of the ‘parents’ of the rag tag group of villains, alongside Kurogiri and Mr. Compress.
“Missed you too, Toga-chan,” you responded, patting the back of the girl’s head as she clung to you. “How was everything here?”
“Tomura-kun was being grumpy again,” Toga said with a toothy grin. “He and Dabi-kun got into an argument.”
Holy heck, it was like they were siblings sometimes. Bickering siblings. “Seriously? Again? What was it about this time?”
Before the only actual actual teenager of the group could tell you, Tomura interrupted, shooting Toga a glare. “Oi, Brat. Back off. I need to speak with ______.”
“Aw, why?”
Shigaraki scowled. “It’s important.”
Toga pouted, but released you and skipped away, likely going to hang out with Twice or something wherever the guy was in the base. “Bye bye, ______-chan!”
“Bye Toga-chan,” you replied, not even hiding your amusement as you turned to look at Tomura. “So, what’s up, O Fearless Leader?”
Red eyes darkened as they looked at you, and he nodded towards the entrance to his room/office. “Let’s talk there.”
Resisting the urge to roll your eyes, you conceded by walking towards his room but said: “You’re seriously like a man-child. If you don’t want the others to tell me when you’re picking fights or acting out like a kid, then just behave.”
“Shut up, ______, or I’ll dust you. Show some respect.”
“I mean, I would. If you earned it.”
There was a teasing lilt to your voice that caused Tomura to grumble. He wasn’t actually mad at you, of course. Probably a bit hurt that you weren’t on his side before even hearing what happened, but you’d only been back for a few minutes for gods sake. Inside the room, Tomura went to turn on the same game that the two of you had been playing the last time you’d hung out.
“So, the important thing you needed to talk to me about was really just wanting to play games?” You didn’t even bother trying to hide your amusement.
Tomura pouted, the expression making him look adorably boyish as he shoved a controller at you. “You’re my player two,” he stated seriously. “The others can wait.”
The childish possessiveness was a bit endearing, you had to admit.

BNHA AgeSwap AU  Erasermic Focused
Age-Swap BNHA – Erasermic focused
This is a long AU so there will be parts and I will be giving more and more head-cannons as time goes on
BNHA Students are now Pro-Heroes, and the Heroes/teachers are now the students.
Aizawa thought that he and his friends would get a normal school experience- with the exception of being trained to be heroes – and just go through some teenage drama, rough training, boring classes.
But when A man named shigaraki starts targeting not only their school, but all the popular pro heroes as well, everyone is on high alert and the kids are forced into the life of pro heroes sooner than they think!. Pro heroes start dropping like flies, and time after time their school is attacked. Aizawa thought it couldn’t get worse…until he notices his best friend and love interest acting weird and withdrawn. Guess his father was right…nothing is ever as simple as it appears.
But he wasn’t going down without a fight!
Basic Headcannons:
Shinsou Hitoshi is Class 1A’s teacher and Pro Hero Mindjack
Mei Hatsume is The Teacher/Director of the Support Department at UA
Nezu is still the Principal
Mina Ashido, Toru Hagakure, Nejire Hado, Eijiro Kirishima are all UA teachers,
Villains: Mineta Minoru, Mt. Lady, Himiko Toga, Tomura Shigaraki, Stain, Twice.
Eri is married to Kouta Izumi, and is Shinsou’s adopted sister (Kouta is a Pro hero known as
Izuku is Inko Midoriya’s uncle, and mentors Toshinori Yagi who he hopes will become the next symbol of peace.
Midoriya Inko is in the Business Management class at UA… everyone teases Yagi when he disappears for a while, knowing that he is in the Business Class talking with Inko.
Hizashi is terrified of his quirk
Shouto Todoroki is Enji’s father; Enji feels inferior and therefore has an attitude with everyone
USJ does happen in this universe as well; Shinsou nearly losing his life while protecting his son and his students. After USJ, all students move into on-campus dorms, which is a god-send for Hizashi.
Hawks and Dabi are UA graduates and are currently dating. Dabi is known as the flame hero: Blue Phoenix
Eri & Kouta often visit Hitoshi, Denki, and Shouta… and both of them instantly feel protective of the loud yet withdrawn blonde that often visits their nephew.
Meet the cast~
Shouta Aizawa
Adopted son of Hitoshi Shinsou & Denki Kaminari
16 years old majority of the story
Adopted at the age of 6 years old by his biological Uncle. Aizawa’s mom was Shinsou’s biological sister…although the two never grew up together, they just share the same genes and were raised in different foster homes. Once Hitoshi found out he had a nephew, he raced to the courthouse and adopted Aizawa on the spot. Aizawa’s biological mother and father are in jail for a life sentence due to…undisclosed reasons.
Still same personality, though he is much more confident in his abilities
Made it into the hero course by passing both the written and physical entrance exam due to being trained by Denki and Hitoshi, both of whom knew what the exam would be like and gave him an edge.
He met Hizashi the first day of the exam, and for some reason unknown to even himself…they just clicked as friends. Hizashi sticking by the others side and cheering him on no matter what, and Shouta developing a fierce protectiveness of the blonde and seeing the others vulnerable moments and genuine smiles.
Shouta is intent on becoming an underground hero, not liking the public’s attention.
He admires pro heroes, but hates the flashy showmanship they display; pro heroes such as Ground Zero, Deku, and Alien Queen bother him and make his skin itch.
Makes friends with Hizashi at the entrance exam; Tensei during the 2nd week of class; Nemuri & Kan during the upcoming sports festival.
Pretends to be embarrassed by his parents, but he loves them unconditionally.
He regularly attends cat café’s with Hizashi, and helps the other look through vinyl records. His guilty pleasure is buying Hizashi gifts, but giving them to the other under the ruse that “Someone gave this to me as a gift but I’m not into it…its yours”
He is regularly teased by his parents and friends for his obvious crush.
He has brought home 5 cats, naming them KitKat, Twix, Snickers, Hershey, and Marshmallow.
He is amazing at hand-to-hand combat, and helps his classmates…although under duress of his bemused father
He is amazing at Math but absolutely sucks at English (though Hizashi tutors him in)
Aizawa is Gay
His guilty pleasure is listening to Hizashi sing
Hizashi chooses Shoutas hero name. And as ridiculous as it is, shouta loves it.
Hizashi Yamada
Placed into foster care immediately after birth, after he damaged the eardrums of his parents and Doctors with his first scream, coming into the world.
Has been bounced from foster home to foster home, often being forced to wear a muzzle inside the house.
@spicy-doodles has a headcannon that's amazing where Hizashi never gets adopted ((and more, check them out))
He finally landed in a “decent” home by the time he applied to UA. He was still forced to wear a muzzle indoors at times, but they gave him food to eat, his own soundproof room, and didn’t hit him. They just ignored him, which was fine by him.
To hide what he saw as a flaw on himself, Hizashi is loud, carefree and kind in public. He never hesitates to help someone out, offer a kind word, or make someone feel important
He hates bugs due to an incident in his foster home…that he has told no one about.
Although he acts like the stereotypical blonde, Hizashi is 2nd place in their class, following right behind Iida Tensei.
He loves to cook and learn languages; it keeps him from getting bored and it makes himself feel useful. He often cooks for his friends in the dorms.
Moving into the dorms was a godsend, it allowed him to leave his foster home (the teachers found out about the muzzle and promptly arrested the foster parents. Shouta was super protective of his friend for a month after this… he is still super protective)
Hizashi is self-conscious of his singing voice, but after Shouta complimented him he began to sing more and more
Hizashi almost chooses “Yell-Man” as his hero name…Shouta wouldn’t allow it so he chose “Present Mic”
He is hard-of-hearing, on his way to being totally deaf. he gets regular treatments from recovery girl, and wears special hearing aides
Kan and Hizashi were in the foster care system together, so Kan knows some of what the blonde has gone through, and is super protective. they call each other brother, and intend never to lose that bond
I have so much more, but I want to know what you guys want to know more about! There’s so much to this universe that I cannot possibly fit it into one post.
For BNHA Age-Swap AU what would you like to ask more about?

[Ficlet] Friendshipping
Tumblr media
T? | 1.2k | Ficlet
So it’s canon that Mr. Compress ships Spinaraki - I argue that the others would too. Hence I wrote this incredibly silly ficlet, which is secretly just me justifying my latest OTP, because this is how I’m gonna spend my 26th birthday I guess. Well, with this and watching Eurovision later.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy!
-
Toga’s the one to notice it, when she’s just casually strolling around the forest. Upon seeing it she gasps and immediately covers her mouth so she won’t alert them, but behind her hand it curves into the widest possible grin. She snaps a picture with her phone before skipping away, returning to the main camp site just on the other side of the large rock.
The scene she returns to – with Twice trying to work out the remains of Mr. Compress’ prosthetic, having claimed both that he knows what to do, and that he doesn’t – ends when she scoots in between them and opens the picture without a word.
“Oh my,” says Mr. Compress, not quite as cool as he would like to be in front of his young colleagues. There’s too much excitement in his voice, he can’t help it.
“I knew it! What the hell?!” exclaims Twice, grabbing the phone to tilt it his way, all to better study it.
The picture shows Shigaraki sleeping soundly as he should be, sitting up, his long legs stretched out and his back against the rock wall – and his head slumped down and resting on Spinner’s shoulder. Spinner’s asleep too, sitting hip to hip with leader, snoring with his mouth open, ever so slightly leaning towards Shigaraki as well.
“Ah, youth,” says Mr. Compress, dramatically wiping a non-existent tear on his mask, as Twice and Toga continue to gush over the picture. “Well, they do make a cute couple.”
“Right, right?” Toga takes the phone back and clutches it to her chest. “Tomura’s been so lonely, and Shuuichi’s been all alone too, and they’re total dorks. It’s a perfect fit.”
“I was so lonely too… before I met all you guys.” Twice’s voice breaks.
“Indeed,” agrees Mr. Compress. “Our dauntless leader could do well with some companionship.” He keeps it PG with regards to Toga’s age, even though he knows she has no shame with these things.
She takes Twice’s hand in hers, strokes the back of it.
“Mhm, and Shuuichi too, you know he’s been so brooding lately, and remember when he was yelling at Tomura? Like, doesn’t he just wanna be close to him? And now they’re both feeling so much better!”
“Well, maybe we shouldn’t get carried away.” Mr. Compress opts for some diplomacy, even though his heartstrings too are tugged by the pictured scene. Amidst all the endless fighting against Gigantomachia they could all use a happy break in the routine. “For all we know they’re just resting together.”
Toga immediately challenges him on this stance:
“Is that so? So like, have you ever seen Tomura rest so close to anyone else?”
There’s a static sound in all of their right ears.
“The girlie’s got this right, Shigaraki’s always been impossible with physical affection from the beginning, so this is breaking news!”
Mr. Compress mouths at the others: ‘Doctor Ujiko was listening in?’, completely scandalized at the breach of privacy, but because he is wearing his mask they can’t see it.
“Doctor! Nice to be talking to you again, are you spying on us you bastard?!” Twice asks.
“More importantly, Tomura’s, he’s never been in love before right?” asks Toga, cupping her right ear like she’s on the phone with the man. This is so fun, she thinks, gossiping like this with her friends, it makes her all giddy.
Doctor Ujiko hums, equally jovial as he says: “I think that brat’s got a few too many issues for that sort of thing.”
“People with issues can love too,” Twice insists, clenching his hands into fists before instantly making an X with them instead, saying: “No, it’s completely impossible.”
“Issues or not,” says Mr. Compress, “it seems we can agree that Spinner and Shigaraki would suit each other well. It warms an old man’s heart.” Maybe two old men, though he doesn’t truly want to put himself and the good doctor in the same category.
“They do, right.” Toga holds her cheeks, feeling all silly about this, like she’s the one that’s all lovey-dovey. “I’m so happy for Tomura!”
“Spinner’s been looking after him lately.” Twice nods sagely. “But don’t you think that in looking after him, he’s been looking after himself, too?”
“All of this being said, I think we should agree not to spring the fact that we know on them.” Mr. Compress scolds himself more so than the others. “We don’t want to spook them. Spinner in particular, that boy has a lot of pride.”
“That’s so nice of you,” Twice says as he clasps a hand on his shoulder. “What a sick man you are.”
“Not to burst your bubble, because this is disgustingly adorable, but there hasn’t actually been any confessions between them yet, just a whole lot of sickeningly adolescent staring and hesitant touching, nothing exciting whatsoever.”
“So are you watching us now? Have you been all this time?” Mr. Compress huffs, looking up at the sky for a drone or similar, seeing nothing but birds.
“They’re pure.” Toga’s still gushing. “It’s the first love, such silly boys, they’ll figure it out together. Shuuichi like, already can’t stay away, he just wants to be with Tomura all the time, Jin, have you noticed?”
“He was yelling at him again just the other day though,” says Jin. “Aren’t you thinking about this wrong, Toga? You’re completely right, of course.”
“Yeah well, that’s good, right, Mister?”
He’s still looking for whatever surveillance system the doctor’s set up, when Toga grabs him where his stump meets his prosthetic stump to get his attention.
“In a relationship, you’ve got to like, be able to disagree and stuff. Especially when it’s with Tomura, he should be with someone who doesn’t just blindly agree with everything he says and enables him, right?”
“Actually, Shigaraki’s terribly fond of the Noumu precisely because they don’t question him,” says Doctor Ujiko, even though no one asked.
“You have a point,” Mr. Compress tells Toga, impressed with her insight at such a young age. “And if this little exercise with ‘Machia has proved anything to us, it would be that Shigaraki responds well to challenges.”
“But loyalty’s important too. And isn’t Shuuichi like, super loyal?”
“He’s the kind to commit,” he can only agree. And if Spinner is wholly committed to Shigaraki, they would all benefit, not least of all their somewhat scrappy leader.
It makes sense, from the start he’s suspected it, though he didn’t wish to presume. Nevertheless, if they’re “sleeping together” it seems inevitable – when Shigaraki opened up to them, didn’t it seem to effect Spinner the most? Hasn’t that boy been steadily closer to their leader with each and every battle? Hasn’t he been the most concerned that Shigaraki eat something, sleep and make use of his sparse breaks? Hasn’t he been pestering the rest of them with his complaints and words of admirations both: either that Shigaraki’s being ridiculous, or that he’s “really something, huh…”?
And hasn’t it seemed like Shigaraki, too, has been smiling more lately? Even when nothing seems to be working, his absurd optimism has been infectious. Hasn’t he been more comfortable too, more so each day, and around Spinner in particular?
“My cute little Noumu are more loyal though.”
Yes, thinks Mr. Compress, to all his own questions, as Twice and Toga prattle on, and doctor Ujiko pushes his own agenda, yes indeed.
A few days later, when they are waged war upon, Mr. Compress sees Spinner once more following their leader behind just as circumstances – Dabi’s fire and whatever else – forces them all apart. Everything’s become complicated much too quickly and he cannot help but be concerned, but it’s good, he thinks, that last he saw them, Shigaraki and Spinner were together.
And maybe they weren’t together together. But they should be.

What are your top ten Shigaraki ships (and if you've got time for it: why)?
Oh man! idk if I have enough - if there even is enough - Shigaraki ships (in the traditional romantic sense) to fill ten. Plus I hadn’t ship Shigaraki much with anyone because it wasn’t until recently that he got all this screentime and developing relationships with other characters.
But going with interesting dynamics and relationships of all types, platonic or romantic or enemy or cautionary or imaginary/fanon (because I’m a sucker for my own imagined potential of a relationship) or canon(ish), and which ones intrigues/affects/impacts me the most? and then ranking them??? impossible hmm
(using the names and honorifics the characters call Shigaraki for some variation and also because I’m a weeb) (also ranking is suspect because I’m bad at making decisions)
10. Shigaraki and Bakugou
I didn’t actually like Bakugou until his Remedial Course mini-arc, and so didn’t pay attention to him much. So I was surprised when Shigaraki wanted Bakugou for his League. It wasn’t until I understood Shigaraki much better and finally took the effort to consider Bakugou’s side of things that I found myself wishing they had more interaction during his kidnapping. Because here was Shigaraki going 110% to woo Bakugou into joining him, he had honestly thought the boy would make a good Villain. And there was Bakugou who was adamant about being a Hero despite not being very Heroic. We could’ve had a great look (if Bakugou ever talked) into Heroes and Villains and motivations and more stuff about how they’re two sides of the same coin… or so I wish, making this a purely speculation about a battle of ideas and these two enemies coming to a grudging respect. But that’s all over now.
9. Shigaraki and Twice
Shigaraki took off Twice’s mask to shut him up (sorta), then put it back on for him! If that isn’t the most warmhearted mean thing to do. Twice is very much invested in the League and I wanna see Shigaraki appreciating that. Is Twice the first member to get to touch Shigaraki’s hands? To measure them for a clone? Very big deal. Not a very intense dynamic, but good fun downtime Villain Out Shopping fluff.
8. Shigaraki and Mr. Compress
Gotta say it’s @happojin’s ficlet about these two scheming over personal revenge on Overhaul that got me intrigued in this no-ideology partnership-in-pure-villainy. Mr. Compress is the exact type of chaos-loving dramatic criminal that’s right up his boss’ alley, though I can see too much of it getting onto Shigaraki’s nerves - which makes for good, mischievous conflict. These two would blow up buildings purely for fun and I wanna see that joy on their faces. But also! Not yet knowing the reason for Mr. Compress join the League makes for great speculation - like maybe he’s just enamored with Shigaraki’s spirit and youth (that makes him feel young himself???) that he’ll be okay with losing an arm and poverty and getting kicked around by a giant naked mountain man for a month. We see Mr. Compress with Shigaraki in chapter 114, calling Toga (for Shigaraki?) and I want to think it’s Mr. Compress fancying himself as Shigaraki’s (all) right hand man.
7. Doctor and Shigaraki
The Doctor is creepy and I’m iffy about him cuz, well, he’s creepy but he sure is making the plot move forward and now he’s the guy who will be giving the League zany inventions like some episodic comedic cartoon. If it wasn’t so horrifying that they’re Noumus. But mostly, this is a guy who knew Shigaraki from childhood, who preserved (and maintained???) the hands, who Shigaraki is familiar with but also knows nothing about. What stories can you tell us about Shigaraki, Doc? I wanna know. I’m scared, but I wanna know.
6. Giran and Shigaraki-san
How long have they known each other??? (Consider - middle-aged seen-his-shit-in-the-underworld-and-now-respected-broker Giran having to be polite to a sulky teenaged Shigaraki and needing to address him as ‘san’ - idk, maybe I’m getting the nuance there wrong but… hilarity) What other dealings have they done? Giran sure is a champ to lose five fingers for Shigaraki and the League - is the League his best customer? Did Shigaraki ‘inherit’ the use of the broker from AFO? Has Giran met AFO? I guess this is just me wanting to know more about Giran, and Shigaraki is the proxy for that. But I wanna know! I wanna see them interact when Shigaraki rescues Giran.
5. All Might and Shigaraki(Shimura Tenko)
I love my Shimura Tenko gets a father figure in All Might AUs! I’m writing one lol. But I acknowledge this is less about the characters themselves and more about the exploration of a legacy that ties them together. Cuz I love that shit. I love the idea of All Might being such a loyal disciple that he would do anything for the grandson of Nana - except it’s just that, he’s only chasing after a reminder of Nana. What would he do with Shigaraki/Tenko himself? And I love the idea of Shigaraki/Tenko deciding how to incorporate the tale of the sordid Shimura family into his life - if he chooses to do so at all. Lots of family/identity drama. Also completely in headcanon territory. Ah well.
4. Toga and Tomura-kun
The recent chapters have really up my interest in the friendship/siblinghood/whatever admiration Toga has for Shigaraki. She calls him Tomura-kun, which yes it’s expected of her as a cute high schooler; but no one else has ever called Shigaraki just his first name besides AFO. And Shigaraki seems to have a soft spot for her? He’s been very nice to all of the League, but for someone who immediately hated her at first sight cuz she was a ‘brat’ who didn’t make any sense, that’s the biggest attitude change. Right now, they’re confirmed to be the youngest and closest in age of the League, and I like the idea of them being able to be ‘young people these days’ together and relate to one another. Toga is very loyal to Shigaraki, but not above stabbing him should he be a jerk. Like with Twice, I wanna see Shigaraki be appreciative, or rather, I wanna see another scene where he’s really nice to her (the first one being, of course, that Overhaul arc flashback).
Also they were in an omake drama CD being silly and if that isn’t the best thing.
3. Kurogiri and Shigaraki Tomura
Hmmm I’m lazy and I already planned a whole post dedicated to analyzing their relationship, so I’m gonna skip this. I’ll edit with the link to that post later!
2. Shigaraki and Spinner! In danger of being an OTP for me, which isn’t hard cuz I don’t have any other
The only romantic relationship on this list. Spinaraki. Like I said before, though Shigaraki was really the only option after Stain, Spinner was so clearly ready to believe in Shigaraki, to follow him, because he wanted the League to change the world. That’s a lot of faith put onto someone who is Shigaraki (I mean, look at him, he’s a skinny NEET goth), so much so Spinner, implied to have not been a criminal before joining the League, is ready to kill (and does). That’s intriguing enough, and then comes his month long observation diary about his leader. Who he still stays with after knowing Shigaraki’s very-not-Stain-like-nor-revolutionary plans. And now we wait for the climax of his journey of wavering loyalty. True, a lot of it is my own hyped-up imagination but I’m enjoying it. If Spinner stays and become Shigaraki’s most loyal follower, that is so my shit I’m going to die. I’m gonna die anyways whenever they interact in the near future chapters.
1. All For One and Tomura
What is there to say about…. this? It haunts me. It’s number one on this list cuz it’s the dynamic that I think about most, has impacted me most (Chapter 222 was a lot to handle), and it’s like trying to untangle thorny vines. Gotta say, in my intepretation, it’s a very accurate portrayal - from Shigaraki’s side - of caring about someone who has hurt you a lot, and you know it. But it’s the person you knew best and depended on when there was no one else, and you’re always going to have their influence - of which includes positive things. It’s one of the very few portrayal that gets all the paradoxical messy details while being explicitly clear to the reader it’s wrong, Shigaraki doesn’t deserve this. It’s also clear that while AFO may have affection for people, that doesn’t matter. He’s a monster. Still wrong, and cruel. And I think that’s important to show, important to depict and an important message told well. Now all that’s left is to wait to see what Shigaraki will do now and how this bond will break.
This to be absolutely clear, this isn’t a ‘ship’, it’s a portrayal of an abused child solider that is now flourishing away from his guardian and I’m hopeful for the future. And it’s so poignant to me, that a story is tackling this. Gets it. Its a dynamic I’m invested in because it’s a story of survival and I will see it through.

Honorable mentions? I wanna see Shigaraki and Hawks. That should be interesting.
I used to like ShigaDabi, but mostly because it was available. I’ve got no opinions about it now. :/
