Summary: Boys figuring out that you want cuddles but don’t want to bother them.

Tetsuro Kuroo

🧪 Kuroo worked long hours, came home and then worked more. You brought dinner to his office and made sure to remind him to rest properly. 🧪 There were points in the year when even you understood that he couldn’t come away from his work and those were the hardest times for you, those were the times when you tried to occupy yourself until he was done or you fell asleep. 🧪 You were struggling today though, you really just wanted to cuddle with him but you didn’t want to bother him while you were working. 🧪 Kuroo wasn’t stupid though and he noticed something was up the moment that he noticed the lack of noise outside his office.

You finally decided that you were going to get Kuroo some coffee before trying to go to sleep since there was nothing else that you could do. You knocked on the door softly and your heard Kuroo called for you to come in , you walked over, putting the coffee on his desk and picking up the empty mug. “Hey Kitten, what's going on?” He asked as he caught your wrist before you could walk away from him. “Nothing.” You answered softly, attempting to smile and pull yourself away from him so that he could get back to work. “Not buying it.” He said softly, taking the nemoty cup from you and then pulling you closer. “What’s going on?” “You're working, we can talk later…” You answered. “No, we can talk now.” He answered, turning your chair so that he had you between his legs. “Tetsu it’s nothing.” You said softly. “It’s bothering you.” He reached up to run his thumb over your cheek. “Really it’s nothing, I just…” “Mmm.” He hummed “I just want to cuddle.” You answered. “Oh yeah?” He asked, pulling you until you straddled his waist. “Why didn’t you just ask Kitten?” “I don't want to bother you.” You answered resting your head on his shoulder and he turned the chair back so that he was facing his work. “You relax, let me just finish this and then we can go to bed okay?” He asked. “Hmm.” You hummed and he smiled wrapping his left arm around you waist as his right reached out to finish signing the last few documents so that he could get you comfortably in bed.

Morisuke Yaku

🌄 Yaku was based in Japan and Russia and at the moment you were in Russia and it was freezing, you had struggled with the temperature since moving out there and today was no better. 🌄 Yaku had been out training all day, so you were left alone trying to warm yourself up, you had jumpers, fluffy socks and even a blanket wrapped around you but nothing seemed to be working. 🌄 Yaku came through the door at around 7:00pm and saw you on the sofa he leaned down and pressed a kiss to your cheek before going up to take a shower. 🌄 Yaku wasn’t always an affectionate person so asking his to cuddle with you was rare but little did you know if you asked he’d do it more often.

Yaku always scoff when you talked about anything affectionate and you would always laugh off his reaction with a kiss on the cheek so it didn’t surprise you that after he could out of the shower he sat on the opposite side of the sofa, you sighed and got up to look for a blanket, you really wanted to cuddle up to him but there was a very real possibility of rejection and you didn’t want to make him uncomfortable.

Yaku looked at you as you stood up, he watched you walk into the kitchen and then come back out, walking into the bedroom “hey babe what are you doing?” He called as he looked over the back of the sofa in time to see you come out of the bedroom with one of the throw blankets. “I was just looking for a blanket.” You answered as you walked back over the sofa. “Are you cold?” He asked. “Mmm.” You hummed and he frowned. “Come here.” He said opening his arms though he wasn’t looking at you, you could see the light blush on his cheeks. You shuffled over and when you were close enough he pulled you over, moving you both around until you were comfortable and then he slipped his hands underneath the blanket “your freezing.” He pulled you closer, taking the large blanket and wrapping it around the both of you and keeping you cased in his arms. “Are you sure this okay, I-” “Of course it’s okay, you should have said something when I came in…” He mumbled burying his face in your neck. “I didn’t think that you liked cuddling.” You mumbled “whenever I mentioned it before you always scoffed and waved me off.” “You weren’t serious then.” He answered “I always want to have you close. All you have to do is ask.” “I’ll ask next time, I promise.” You snuggled closer to him as he looked for something to watch.

Taketora Yamamoto

❤ You would very rarely see Yamamoto just sitting around doing nothing, if he wasn’t training then he’d be at the gym ❤ You felt bad asking him to stop doing something that he loved for a day to hang out and cuddle with you. ❤ He’s pretty dense so it took a long time for him to realize and a little push from Tanaka who he’d sometimes see at the gym. ❤ Once it is pointed out to him he’s sure to make sure that it never happens again because as we all know he’s dramatic about his failures.

“What are you doing here again!?” Tanaka yelled as he appeared behind Yamamoto. “Working out, what’s wrong with you dude?” Yamamoto asked. “I mean if you were here yesterday and the day before and you said that your training starts again tomorrow, when are you actually spending time with (Y/N)?” Tanaka asked, Yamamoto looked at him and frowned. “What are you talking about, we eat together.” He shrugged. “S/He hasn’t said that she wants anything else.” “And s/he won’t.” Tanaka flicked his head. “Go home.”

Yamamoto walked through the door, he honestly thought that Tanaka was being dramatic until he walked into the living room to see you cuddling a teddy that he had bought you on one of your first dates, he dropped his bag on the floor bending down you expected him to give you a kiss but instead he wrapped his arms around you lifting you easily and then turning you both so that he was laying on the sofa and you were straddling his waist. “You're back early.” You mumbled burying your face in his neck, letting out a hum of content. “God I’m an idiot.” He said just above a whisper, you pulled back slightly to look at his face. “What are you talking about?” You asked. “Tanaka pointed something out to me, I’m sorry baby.” He pressed a kiss to your forehead. “You haven’t done anything wrong.” You said as you sat up properly now. “I’ve barely been spending any time with you.” He answered. “Oh don’t worry about that, your training is important.” You answered, dropping your head back onto his chest. “I never said anything because you enjoy what you're doing so please don’t apologize.” “Things will be different but promise, you’ll ask me if you want me to stay home or need me to help you.” He pleaded and you nodded. “I promise.” You answered, nestling closer to him as he wrapped arms around you again.

Kozume Kenma

🎮 Kenma was doing a 24 hour stream for charity and for the most part that was fine, his fans knew about you so you would come in and out of the room as quietly as you could to give him food or grab something that you left in there. 🎮 Unfortunately Kenma was always there when you fell asleep even if he wasn’t ready to go to bed yet. 🎮 Tonight however he wasn’t going to be with you, you tried to go to sleep on your own but that didn’t work you just spent an hour tossing and turning. 🎮 Eventually you got up and walked towards the streaming room and opened the door quietly making your way over to a chair in the corner of the room outside of the view of the camera.

Kenma watched you settle on the chair with a blanket wrapped around you, you looked tired which confused him even more. “One second guys.” He said softly as he took off his head phones and walked out of view. “What are you doing Pudding?” He asked. “Sitting.” You mumbled. “You look tired.” He said crouching in front of you holding your chin so that you keep eye contact with him. “I can’t sleep.” You admitted. “Any reason for that?” He asked. “Can’t sleep without you.” You answered. “Aww Bub.” He pressed a kiss to your forehead “I’ll be right back.” Kenma walked over to his desk and leaned over to the microphone he started talking, you couldn’t hear what he was saying, he put his thumbs up at the screen before walking over and picking you up. “What are you doing?” You asked, wrapping your arms around his shoulders. “You can sit with me.” He said softly, he settled in his gaming chair and placed your feet over the arm of the gaming chair, you were still wrapped in the blanket so he guided you to rest against his chest. “What about the stream?” You asked. “They all wanted to see you, it’s been a while since you’ve been on stream and I can still play with you like this.” He promised, you smiled and pressed a kiss to his cheek before turning to the chat, reading a few greetings to you and waving at the camera in acknowledgement. “See they missed you.” It only took about 30 minutes for you to actually fall asleep but Kenma didn’t mind. Instead he tried to make sure that you couldn’t wake up with neck or back pain as he continued with the stream.

Lev Haiba

📸 You and Lev had been together for a long time now but his publicity team thought that it was a good idea to keep it a secret, after all Lev was popular because he was good looking and he becomes less desirable if they find out that he is dating someone. 📸 You honestly don’t know how no one has found his personal social media accounts where all of his old school friends are spammed with pictures of you all the time. Lev was a pretty clingy guy. It's a miracle that it’s lasted as long as it has. 📸 Lev was getting sick of the set up though, he spoke to you to make sure you were okay with his choice to go public then even voiced his thoughts to his manager, who seemed to understand. 📸 The perfect time came when it was decided that he was going to have a special filmed at home, the first time that they pitched the idea they said that you’d be a roommate but Lev had other plans.

You’d been avoiding Lev and the cameras for the most part, you knew that they’d edit most interaction with you out but you preferred to just stay away from them altogether, you were in the kitchen cooking, in all honesty you trying distract yourself from the fact that you couldn’t even walk around your own house freely, maybe you should just go stay with a friend until the filming was done. All you wanted was to cuddle with Lev but with the camera everything you didn’t even know if it was worth asking, before you even knew it tears were running down your cheeks and usually you’d go to Lev at a time like this but that was out of the question. You didn’t hear Lev walk into the kitchen until he wrapped his arms around you “Baby what’s going on?” He asked his large figure crowding you against the counter and making you feel safe again. “Nothing Lev, you have a show to film you should get back to it.” You wiped at your face aggressively as you tried to go back to cooking. “No they're gone for the day, we've got plenty of time.” He said softly. “What’s going on?” “It’s nothing just getting used to the set up.” You explained “miss you that’s all.” “Why don’t you come sit with me, you love watching me play games with Kenma.” Lev said softly “he even asked where you were.” “I can’t do that…” You answered. “Why?” He asked. “Because I’ll mess up the show.” You mumbled. “My love, you could never mess up the show.” He said softly, he turned you around so that you were facing him “is that why you’ve been avoiding me and the cameras?” “Mhm.” You hummed, he sighed as he lifted you onto one of the clean work surfaces so that you had no choice to look at his face. “This is supposed to be for both of us, you remember I asked you a few weeks ago about making everything public?” He asked. “Yeah…” You nodded. “We’re going to do it with this show.” He explained his hands on either side of you caged you in comfortably “so you want to come cuddle with me and watch a movie? We’ll cook later.” “Are you sure?” You asked. “Super sure, you know what?” He asked. “Wha-” You were cut off by him pressing a kiss to your cheek and snapping a picture, he smiled at the shocked look on your face both in the picture and in front of him, he quickly opened his Instagram and quickly uploaded the picture with a small caption ‘Hope your all ready to say hello to my lovely girlfriend on the upcoming day in life of me!!’ he pressed the post button before you could stop him and then picked you up taking you back to the living room, he flopped onto the sofa, he felt you moving slightly. “Now what movie to you want to watch?” He asked. “Doesn’t matter.” You mumbled pushing yourself closer to him, he smiled softly, pressed a kiss to the top of your head, he put on your favorite movie before settling down with you, he was determined not to let a misunderstanding like that happen again.

A/N: Female reader.

"Why does he always come around here?"

You hear your friends whispering to each other while your nose is in your book, glancing up you see exactly what they were talking about. There stood the same guy who hovered by the door almost every day, standing frozen outside like some sort of statue. He had been appearing outside your class the past few weeks, but the minute anyone would head to open the door, he would dash off. You hadn't seen him around either, and his mohawk wasn't something you could easily miss.

You remain on the lookout for him as you walk through the halls, as he had disappeared today like he had done the other days. You were more determined to find out who he was after your friends swore to you that it was always you that he stared at, wondering what he could possibly want with you. You weren't outstandingly popular in any way, and you weren't used to attracting attention to yourself, so what had made this guy so dedicated that he'd come watch you outside of your class at the same time on the dot?

And why hadn't he just talked to you?

You hear a commotion coming from inside the gym and stop short, a flash of red drawing your attention. You remember that the school had an amazing volleyball team, and find yourself momentarily distracted by curiosity. You peek inside, remaining unnoticed due to the quick actions occurring inside. It's when you spot him, the guy who'd been peeking into your classes, running up to the net and spiking the ball as hard as he could, that you muster up the courage to fling the gym door open and enter.

"Is there something you need?" The coach greets you at the door, and the entire room stops moving to stare at you, the intruder who was interrupting their practice.

"I need to talk to him!" You point towards the mohawk guy, watching as his teammates eyes follow your finger to him and his eyes go wide. He looks horrified for a brief moment, looking as though he was about to bolt in the opposite direction when a messy, dark-haired boy grabs onto his shoulder and refuses to let him move.

"Yamamoto, it looks like you have someone who's calling on you. You're not going to deny such a cute girl, right?" Your eyes stay locked on Yamamoto, whose cheeks were now burning red as he nodded his head towards the older guy. "Go on." He receives a pat on the back as he follows you outside the gym, looking as though he may turn tail at any moment.

"You're the one who keeps coming to my class every day, right?" He nervously nods his head, unable to meet your gaze. "Well, if there's something you need to ask me, ask me!"

"I-I-I..." He's twitching weirdly, which makes you worried for his mental health, but he bows his head down and gets on his hands and knees. "I'm sorry!"

"Eh?"

"I think you're one of the most beautiful girls on the planet and I would appreciate if you'd go on a date with me!" His words are spit out so quickly and slurred together that it takes you a few seconds to fully understand what he's asking you; your cheeks turn pink, though they could never match the redness of his cheeks, and you tilt your head to the side.

"You went through all that trouble just to ask me out? I mean, you could've just come in and asked me, I'm not that unapproachable."

"S-Sorry!"

"Could you, uh, stand up straight, please? I'd like to see your face." He stands stiff as a board in front of you, but his shaking has stopped at least. "If you wanna come by my class, you can, just come inside and talk to me next time, alright? And I'd be more than happy to go on a date with you!"

"Really?!" His eyes grow wide, his mouth hanging open in disbelief. "You'll go on a date with me?!"

"Mhm." You nod your head. "As long as you start working on this whole... communicating thing. We can decide when and where when you come to talk to me after class tomorrow, right?" He nods his head rapidly, his eyes still excitedly shining at the concept of going on a date with you. "I'm glad. I'm sorry for interrupting your practice, have fun."

You wave goodbye to him, aware that he's still frozen in his spot as you round the corner and peer back at him. You giggle into your head, your heart beating excitedly as you make your way to your locker to prepare yourself to head home.

He thought you were the most beautiful girl in the world, huh?

That's a title you could get used to...

New Haikyuu Series!!

TL;DR: This is an introduction for my newest series: Haikyuu Oneshots!! This series with have a one-shot for almost EVERY character on the volleyball teams! (Excluding a few).

This is, like the summary says, the introduction to my latest idea. There will be about 75 fics (I may include more characters at popular request). This idea was born out of two facts: 1.) It is damn near impossible actually hate any Haikyuu character 2.) In spite of the aforementioned fact, there is a disturbing lack of fics for random side characters My solution? Write a fic for them, of course!

That's a lot! Let's lay down some information: 1. Each character will get their own story, including ones that are usually grouped together (i.e. the Miyans or Ukai and Takeda). 2. There will be at least one chapter per story, with at least 3,500 words each. The chapters will not be a continuous story. 3. This all happens in the same universe, so there won't be different ships (Hinata will only be with Kageyama, for example) 4. There will be no rape, major character death, or suicide 5. My heart can't handle anything but happy endings, so there's that 6. The only post timeskip fics will probably be Atsumu and Sakusa 7. Have an idea or headcanon you'd love to see? TELL ME!! I don't have a lot of ideas for most of these characters! 8. These stories are just {character}-centric fics. That doesn't mean that they will all be the same layout. Some may be 5+1, others may a singular story. 9. I basically said this earlier, but these all exist in the 'canon' verse- so no college or soulmate au 10. THERE WILL BE NO READER INSERT/SECOND PERSPECTIVE/FIRST PERSPECTIVE. It makes me extremely uncomfortable. 11. I have never seen a schedule I haven't wanted to burn on sight. This means that my updates will be sporadic. BUT, you know whose story is coming next, so... 12. These fics are also a way for me to practice writing. That means that some may be in weird styles. (i.e. very flowery, no dialogue, etc) If that happens, you can be completely assured that there will also be a 'normal' fic as well, to accommodate the people who dislike those styles. *This does not apply with 5+1 13. I most likely will not get through the entire list before adding chapters to certain fics. Sorry, but my favorite characters will get more attention. Good news, my favs literally change every day! He glances down at the library card. "Yamamoto Taketora," he reads aloud. It's a good name, a strong name, and it feels nice on his lips.

"That's me," Yamamoto says, poking himself in the chest with a thumb. "Oh, shit, I guess we never exchanged names. I've been calling you the cute librarian in my head this whole time."

Ennoshita blinks at him as static buzzes in his ears at Yamamoto's words, and he watches with delight as Yamamoto's face slowly morphs into one of horror.

"I—I mean—well—" Yamamoto stammers, his face turning bright red.

"I'm Ennoshita Chikara," he supplies, then adds, "And it's okay, I've been calling you the handsome man in mine."
