Hey there Pia! I want to say I absolutely love your work and it's very inspiring. It's helped me feel more relaxed about just writing for myself for the sheer fun of it and exploring characters, after many years trying to write or do artwork for other people. Something I think I read somewhere was that you tend to ship a lot of your OC's together and could ship anyone (or were a multi-shipper). I may have got that wrong so I apologise if that's the case! I wondered if you had any of your own OC ships that really surprised you? Do you have any OC ships you would love to write one day that keep popping up in your brain? Are there any OCs ships you think would be interesting but probably wouldn't ever write because it doesn't necessarily work? Thanks! x x P.s. I'm definitely a multi-shipper! Though I don't ship all of my characters together, it's more like... I'm open to considering a lot of different permutations but I also don't enjoy all the ships!

I also support everyone else shipping whoever they want. :D I'm very 'ship and let ship' hehe.

I wondered if you had any of your own OC ships that really surprised you?

Honestly, Augus and Gwyn was probably the very first one! I didn't ship them at the time when other people started coming to me and asking about it, in fact I was like 'ehhhh actually that makes me not very comfortable to think about.' I even avoided answering anon asks about it, and felt very much like you know the nervous 'haha I'm really glad you enjoy it but I don't think that's for me.' And that was partly because I imagined it to be such a tragic pairing at the time. And while it seems wild to talk about that now, because I am so ride or die for them, that is definitely where I started!

Other OC ships that kind of surprised me with their intensity was Mosk and Augus, because Augus really didn't rate Mosk at first, and I was so in Augus' POV for that, it was like...for a long time I never saw the potential until enough changed that Augus could also see the potential. Because of that, Smoke in Autumn was born.

Temsen and Gwyn was unexpected for me, and honestly there's a side character coming in Underline the Red and I ship Faber and Kenneth so much that I suspect Underline the Red will become an OT3 because of it!

Are there any OCs ships you think would be interesting but probably wouldn't ever write because it doesn't necessarily work?

Yeah there's lots. Honestly too many to put here. But lots and lots. For example Temsen and Gwyn from the Underline series are interesting to me, but I don't think that'd ever work or be anything other than like a short tragic abusive moment in time and I've already written a version of that with Albion and Gwyn in a oneshot.

Leo and Efnisien I think could have a very sweet romance in Falling Falling Stars, but I like them more as friends in that universe. And I always kind of daydreamed of Nate somehow going to a play party re: Kadek's and seeing Efnisien and kind of...admiring another side of him and enjoying that somehow.

Gwyn and Ash in the canon when Ash was at his most mutinous and antagonistic was interesting to me in a noncon sense, and I actually have a fic I've never released which is Ash assaulting Gwyn around...mid-way through The Court of Five Thrones. I definitely think Ash has enough dark sexuality that this seemed very 'obvious' to me while also not being at all feasible in the canon.

Faber and Efnisien is really interesting to me in the Underline universe, though I don't think it would ever work/happy, the attraction is definitely there on Efnisien's side, and he feels very kind of alpha-protective towards Faber in a very strong way. And the idea of a toppy Efnisien in that universe is just fun for me, even though I don't plan on ever writing it.

I also low-key ship Temsen with everyone. Like, Temsen just has vibes with everyone. He's always the top and I'm always like 'damn son you have taken over my brain' and he has.

The fun of multi-shipping is I can kind of go anywhere depending on the mood I'm in. The good news is I love the ships I'm writing so much already that they're usually the place I go to first anyway. :D

I wish I hadn't been so anxious back when I visited England and Scotland last time because it'd have been great to do some kind of like... group meet-up or something. With Covid now I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to do international travel again, but I love that folks live in so many awesome places. :D

It's funny because there's almost no readers that I know of in Western Australia, so it's like being on a very weird island where all the reading happens elsehwere. And while there's like maybe one or two exceptions to this, for the most part it's like 'oh reading my stuff is a thing that does not happen here :D ' But I love all y'all. I've met the coolest people and become interested in so many different countries and languages and foods and cultures in part because of this writing and how many different folks have turned up in my comments or in my ask box just sharing different anecdotes and stories from all over the world.

The faedom's just so amazing :D It's really global, and that makes me feel so grateful and fortunate and also makes me wish teleportation was easily possible and affordable!!

Current obsession: @seasaltandcopper pitched an au to me this morning that we've been plotting out all day, where Mal is a minor god and Nate is a human some desperate starving villagers tried to sacrifice to bring fortune back to their village. Nate prayed for help, and it's actually his desperation Mal hears and responds to. He rescues Nate, slow burn idiots to lovers, and they end up having to figure out whats "killing" the other gods and why all the bigger, widely worshiped ones have stopped answering prayers.

It had taken a few drinks to get them to this point, but Hob rarely got a chance to be open about his longer than expected history and eventually the talk came around to his centennial meetings.  And what had happened at the last one in 1889.

“Wait a moment, let me get this straight- some powerful entity makes you immortal, meets back up with you century after century, and then on your sixth date you tell him he is lonely and say you are just friends?  Geesh, no wonder the guy stormed off.”

“What- no- it wasn’t like that!”  Hob sputtered as his drink came down hard on the table.

“Uh huh, sure- and in the 1500s you didn’t shove your wife and kid in his face only to get upset when he then went off with someone else?”

“...”

His friend just raised his eyebrow at him and went back to sipping his beer while thoughts chased themselves across the immortal’s face.  When put like that…..

“Honestly I’m just impressed whatever he was just stormed off and you didn’t end up cursed or something.  Powerful enough to give immortality without a noticeable drawback?  Definitely powerful enough that breakups tend to spawn legends.”

Who is Hob drinking with? No clue, but someone who is supernatural or at least involved in the supernatural. Honestly was kinda thinking of making it be John Constantine and having it be a relative of Johanna, but decided to leave it up to the imagination- feel free to insert your favorite character/crossover.

Emotinal Bites || Zeke & Axel || Self-para

Zeke knew there were a few hours before the club's opening, however Nate had been taking care of everything alone, so he decided to come in early that night.

He was walking past the stage when he noticed Axel, the Wolf was tunning the guitar, hair into a tiny bun, and wearing a black thank top, now, Axel knew, the vampire asked him to hide the bite, but wolves run hot and that scarf was making him sweat so he took it off.

Noticing Zeke, the Wolf smiled. "Hey, man, how are you?" Zeke walked over to the stage, stopping by the other man, "I'm okay. Glad both my boyfriend and my friends are fine, I heard about what happen, glad to see you up and running," he smiled placing his hand on Axel's shoulder, right away he could feel the wolf's conflicted emotions, which was something Zeke has gotten used to, but... There was somehting new, a feeling of... Zeke couldn't put his finger on it, but it was a giggly, happy feeling mixed into a bit of pain, he couldn't help a little frown as he studided the other man. "Are you doing your empath, thing?, Dude! I'm fine, don't give me that..." He pointed at the Warlock's face, gently removing the hand from his shoulder. "Fine, but you know, I've gotten used to your emotions, Axel, I wasn't gonna mention it" he shrugged a litte, being an empath could be tricky sometimes, Zeke felt like he was reading someone's diary, it was all so personal, and not everyone like to talk their emotions. "Good fucking luck with that" Axel scoffed, "you must feel like crawling into fetal position and cry everytime I enter the room." "Axel, sweetheart," the Warlock sighed, "Someone did a big Number on that heart of yours, but , you're going to be okay, just give it time, hearts heals too, you know. honey?" He was about to place his hand back on Axel's shoulder when he noticed something on the other's neck... Round shaped marks... Like... Bite marks? "Oh, sweetie! What happened to your neck?" Zeke was, of course, playing dumb, it wasn't hard at all to get to what happened. "Oh that?" Axel smirked, "Mosquito bite, an annoying liltte one, buzzing around my head all night..." he chuckled a little, he just had to. "Right, you know? I think maybe I've seen that... Mosquito around," Zeke giggled, "Though to be fair, there's no way in hell, I'd let him get that close to me" he said, an amused look on the Warlock's face as he pointed at the other's neck. "Sometimes you just can't help it, man, mosquitos they can be very... Determinanted?" Axel winked. "Right, well, I'll be watching your show later, alright sugar?" Zeke patted the man's back before walking por of the stage.

Now he was getting it, the giggly feeling, the happy mixed in with pain and confusion, and the bite, it all lead to one person... It was a dangerous game the 2 were playing but, hey, sometimes you had to add some danger to the mix. Despite this being amusing, Zeke trutly hoped his friend was not gonna get hurt in the middle of all this, because this wolf... he was barealy hanging on, emotions all over the place... Nate was a sweet man, he dind’t want this rocker boy to come over and emotionaly ruin his friend, it was nice to see that Nate was taking chances thought, always drowing in work, locked up in that office, who knew, he was a daring enough to bite a werewolf! Well, time to play Nate a little visit...

Hi! At first I thought Coq Courage would be Nate and Caprikid Marc, but in the end I'm glad they decided to have the opposite, it's funnier like that, also they look so much better than what I expected even though some think they were done so bad but to each their own. Also Traquemoiselle looks nice, someone on tumblr thought she looked bad and did her redesign and to me said redesign looks ugly compared to her normal look so I'm here laughing about it. XD

i thought that nath being coq courage would overdo everything on the red but i also thought that the (assumed) monochrome of caprikid would be too bland for nath's red hair

i have a post planned for more details on that but basically, once i learned the goat kwami's name, i knew nath would be the goat, our very own caprikid

i don't look at redesigns for any character, i block those posts and come back maybe two three years later, cuz i dont wanna get focused on how bad or good a character looks

but that's a personal choice i make, so i legit dont know what redesign you mean beyond the fact that i know it exists (i saw it mentioned in the tags)

and when i first saw coq courage? i was like "that's not nath, he's too tall" but now i saw that caprikid made himself taller sooooo

Rating my fictional childhood crushes cause why not

I'm feeling very nostalgic recently and I'm gonna make it everyone elses problem by rating fictional characters I had a crush on when I was 5-10 (I think?). Have fun I guess? xD

1. Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid

The little mermaid was one of my first good night stories and I mainly loved it because it took place in/at the ocean. And there was prince Eric a handsome male who also loves the ocean. He's kind of good looking too, a free spirit and not too arrogant for a prince. Bonus points because he has a cute doggo.

2. Julian from The Famous Five

Holy macaroni, I was obsessed with the famous five! I have all dvds and I had a very cringe fan account on Instagram... Good old times! I think I started to crush on Julian when the 2nd movie aired, he's kinda cute. If I remember correctly he was the tough one and really adventurous, but he had a soft spot for his little sister. I appreciate that.

3. Zane from H2O

This makes me realize that I always had a thing for toxic characters. Zane turned out really sweet though, he and Ricky are one of my otps till today. The writers lowkey ruined his character at the end even though all of it was Sophies fault and not his.

We've all discussed his behavior/story enough. What he did wasn't ok but Harry villainized him way too much. He was simply raised by a toxic father, however he chose the right side at the end (I'll never forgive the movies for not showing that). Also: he's kinda hawt, he's a Slytherin, I simply like him ok?

5. Leon from The Wild Soccer Bunch (or "Kevin" according to the English version🤢)

Honestly, I think we wouldn't get along in real life. He's self centered at times, he's a leader but fails at this job often and he is quite childish (but it's a children series- what did I expect?). Oh and he adores soccer, like basically all of the characters in these series- I can't stand soccer but I still love the show (yep, makes sense). But idk we still kind of vibe? He's cool in an uncool way. He is determined and always working on himself. He has a cute relationship with his brother.

6. Nate/Nick Jonas from Camp Rock

He's such a cutie. I love Nick Jonas so much ahh! However, the song Nate wrote for Dana is super cute, the only thing that's really creepy is how he stalked her... Bro, don't. Other than that idk what to say, he's perfect.

7. Connor Stoll from Percy Jackson

I love his attitude, he's so funny and handsome. The fact that he's a prankster has it's pros and cons, ngl but again: the relationship he has with his brother is ♡♡! I felt really bad for him in toa when Travis went to college.. I'm still way too emotionally attached to him

8. Loki from Thor

I love himmmm! He's a god ok? With cool powers? He doesn't pick sides but creates his own side. He's hawt. I love his style. He's funny without realizing it. Can be really cute and kind. Once again: The relationship with his brother ♡. He killed a few people though (oops)

9. Lloyd from Lego Ninjago

He's a cutie! In the first season he's a real baby though, I kind of cringe when I see him there. And I don't like his new look. Ew ew ew. A no for me. But his growth, his story: It's perfect. He has a lot of courage, is intelligent and knows his place/worth.

I recently provoked her into writing Moonshine which is Lauren/Emmett, and of course, I will plug her newest work Impossible the prequel to her breakdown of vampire lore in Twilight, as well as being Jessica/Edward. Jess won’t let Edward live. No Bella. She does the most. We don’t deserve it.

Also, one million invisible lines bc Caroline and Kol is a ship I associate solely with Seph and she wrote them in every situation beautifully. Also, she took my requests and let me annoy her for the next couple years XD

what’s the story, morning glory? @highgaarden. The TVD & Gossip Girl crossover that I never knew I needed. It’s just so much fun to read. Absolutely delightful. So much so, I used the word delightful. Basically, Nate and Elena are getting married and everyone rises up to put a stop to it. Just the sheer amount of times I read this just to giggle at the same jokes over the years is something else. It’s such an interesting and in character take, it’s truly like the shows blended.

Marrow @actuallydeglace – Naruto: Sakura/Kimimaro. Like?? I didn’t know I needed Kimimaro and Sakura to slowly but beautifully fall in love in Orochimaru’s underground bunker, but now I do? Also, (I know you get this a lot) they single-handedly made me ship both KimiSaku AND KabuSaku? I should be making FUN of Kabuto, not shipping him with Sakura?? Who are you?? Inspired me so much and captivated my attention for weeks.

Bloodsport by vioxxin on ff.net – Tokyo Ghoul: Hide/Kaneki. Like, the only Hide/Kaneki fic I need in my cold heart. It’s been unfinished, but I just have such love for this fic and the author’s descriptions and Hide/Kaneki’s relationship when they haven’t gone to school together, but Kaneki is still a ghoul. I’m not giving it justice, just read it. Sometimes I just reread scenes.

Prime Cut @provocative-envy – HP: Hermione/Scabior. I didn’t know I needed Hermione asking Scabior to be her date to her best friend’s wedding, yet here we are. I’ve read this probably ten times. Envy’s mind is big-brain all the time. Best ideas. Best HP crackships. And GoT ships too!

Green Girl @colubrina – HP: Hermione/Draco. But when I say RENT FREE, I mean, Colubrina has written so many wonderful HP fics, but Green Girl is just holds a special place in my heart. I reread it at the beginning of quarantine. I love Slytherin Hermione and her relationship with Draco, the give and take of the other Slytherins, the way events of the story shift and politics. I love wizard politics. I wish Colubrina nothing but perfect happiness for this fic alone.

Cancel On Me by Purrugly on ff.net –  Teen Wolf: Erica Reyes-centric. I love Erica Reyes to this day and only wish we could have gotten more time with her character bc this was PEAK, I say PEAK Erica Reyes content for me. It was such a good breakdown for a character that got so little attention.

The Veil Between @ohmoka – BNHA: TogaChako. Hi moka, SO, my very first Togachako! It seemed so obvious, I love Ochako and I love Toga, of course, I should ship them. However, I didn’t want to, but this fic slowly broke me down and I just fell in love with the idea of them together. The slow turn over of their relationship and spending Halloween together in a graveyard. Inspired me to write my own TogaChako.

All the Ashes in My Wake @modernart2012 – BNHA: NatShig. This feels like a classic to me, honestly. It’s that trope of fake identities and romance, Shigaraki pretends to be someone else to date Natsuo for nefarious means, but feelings start to creep in. ALSO, the first Natshig fic I’ve ever read, so ModernArt, I blame you. I do. It’s been stuck in my mind like a staple ever since. I love it.

take heart (you’re all that I can see) @bittermoonswrites – BNHA: NatShig. Sup? Anyway, THIS NatShig just made me so happy. Moon’s writing is so nice and fluid, I don’t know how they do it. Shigaraki as a ballet dancer is a plus and I loved watching the relationship blossom and develop. Also, the ending which I had to read twice before I could possibly review. I can not wax enough about it, just all the subtle nuances caught me completely.

Red Spider Lilies @seiyuna – HXH: KuroKura. Ohmigod, oh-kay. So, didn’t know I would ever ship this, but now I do and I am absolutely in love with seiyuna’s other krkr works. Just . . . this reincarnation au hits me so different; I love the vignettes. I can feel an epic soundtrack in the background every time these characters look at each other. Also, seiyuna’s smut scenes are just phenomenal.

Chlorine @itsillumi – HXH: KuroKura. So, yeah. This stole my teeth. I can’t bite into anything else for a week. Like, these characters speak and it sears my soul. Chapter one is called flatline and I damn near almost did. I laid on my living room carpet with the Cat for an hour after finishing the last update.  I choose death.

We wrote at least 7 novels worth of fic for them last year (400k+ words), answered all 31 October prompts with fics, and I wake up every day excited to write more so!! It’s hard to pick favorites out of all those, but they’re definitely what I’m the most proud of. 

#2 - Kiss... In Joy (Ao3 Link)

The only kiss fic I managed to finish this year (I have so many drafted ;-; Someday I’ll finish all these prompts!) so it earned a place here! Some of Nate and Nora being soft and in love. Excerpt: 

Admittedly, winning Nate’s affections was considered among her crowning achievements. A lot of people had law degrees. She was the only person in the history of the world who had brought Nate down on one knee.

“I love you, Firefly.” Nate murmured, and her chest ached in response.

#3 - New Vegas PMV 

Was very excited to get a part in the Big Iron Anniversary MAP for New Vegas! I'd never been in a PMV before this one, so it was a treat! Also Rory’s debut as my courier. Maybe he’ll get more attention this year, too.

Sometimes I get REALLY invested in a piece of art and spend lots of time polishing it, this was one of those! Very proud of it!
