Time Travel AU where Michael goes back in time physically instead of just mentally, back before the loss of either of his siblings, and comes across his childhood self. He takes one look at this stupid, cruel, selfish little brat. The same one who let his sister die because he’d rather goof off that watch her. Who murdered his brother in cold blood. Whose terrible behavior put strain on William’s marriage. All of which contributed to William’s deteriorating mental state which ultimately stopped him from getting help with his homicidal urges (or so Mike believes). He takes one look at this kid (who is currently staring up at this moldy stranger thinking ‘why does this dude smell like roadkill’) and immediately wraps his hands around the brat’s throat. Mike strangles his past self to death right there in broad daylight.

Mike’s body is found abandoned at the side of the road. Neither hide nor hair is ever found of the murderer, almost as if he’d vanished into thin air.

The sword cut through the tentacles like butter, and the twisting shapes burst into spouts of water before retracting into the ground.

Though Klunko was holding his own, steadily approaching Beryl, Shrumy and Ratau were struggling. More tentacles had sprouted up around them, waving angrily as they tried to grab at the two.

"This turned out SO GREAT!" Ratau yelled in a clearly sarcastic tone. "Let's go find the Fox! Let's pressure him for information! LET'S GET TORN TO SHREDS BY HIS DAUGHTER IN A FAILED HOSTAGE SITUATION!"

"HEY, NONE OF US KNEW SHE HAD MAGIC, OKAY?" Shrumy spat, before quickly ducking into their shell. A tentacle slammed into it, but bounced off the hard plating.

Ratau was about to shoot back a response, but his attention shifted, hearing Klunko curse.

A tentacle had grabbed him, hoisting him into the air. Though he struggled, he couldn't do much to break free, and the sword fell to the ground with a pathetic thunk onto the soaked sand.

Not good, NOT GOOD. Ratau ducked another tentacle swing. There was no way he or Shrumy could go and grab the weapon, they were busy with their own threats.

"Where the hell is Flinky?" Shrumy asked as they peeked out from under their shell.

Oh no. Ratau looked around. Flinky hadn't gotten swept away by the wind, had he?

Then, Shrumy went still, and gestured to Ratau. They pointed towards Beryl--Or, more specifically, past Beryl.

On one hand, Ratau was relieved--Flinky was fine. But on the other, a pang of horror gripped his chest. What was Flinky DOING?

He didn't need to wait long to find out.

In one swift movement, Flinky lunged, coiling his tail around Beryl's neck.
