I have an idea that has been baking in the back of my head. It requires quite a bit of setup, but may have some teeth to it. I have always wanted a way to store thoughts and ideas outside of a traditional document or notes app, and the closest thing I have been able to find is Obsidian, but even that has its limitations.
My question to you is this: what features do you think are missing from traditional document/notebook software?

Adventure Maker (Windows, 1999-2013)
An easy-to-use first-person (primarily, but optionally third-person) adventure game engine, unsupported since 2013 and unavailable for purchase since 2017 (when the venerable Kagi registration service died). You can download it here.
You can find links to free games made with the program on the Wayback Machine here. Don't forget to check the linked sites on the live web too. Games listed as not working on Vista (and thus even following versions of WIndows) may work after using this patch from the Carol Reed series site (Carol Reed games 1-3 used to need it, but no longer do - the other games use other engines - game NINETEEN coming on Jan 1st!).

also as a software developer I’ve been losing my mind at all the jira jokes iskall keeps making btw. like if you’ve never had a job that subscribes to “agile methodology” before you don’t understand but TRUST ME. THE JIRA JOKES ARE GREAT,

Offering Free Software/Web Dev Tutoring Sessions on Twitch Stream Once a Month!
OK, the people have spoken! There was a definite expression of interest in coding tutoring when I floated a vague post about it towards the coding side of Tumblr, which was very exciting to see! I am really excited about helping teach new people in the industry, and I conveniently have a Twitch stream where I do lots of coding stuff on Sundays. Seems like these two things go well together! :D
Here's the deal:
For right now, I will allocate the first Sunday of every month on my coding stream to tutoring! This will be two slots of an hour each, one from 11am-12pm Central Time and one from 12pm-1pm Central Time. (Depending on interest, there may be more slots in the future as well. :) ) If you are interested in requesting a slot for tutoring, please fill out this form!
This is a pay-what-you-can offering, and if I offer you a live tutoring slot it will be at no charge! However, I welcome donations to whatever degree you can afford them, after the session, to help keep my stream and other projects going.
Submitting this form does not guarantee I will give you a tutoring session, as some subjects are more conducive to demonstrating on stream than others and some may be too far outside of my expertise for me to be helpful. However, I will try to at least reach out to you and provide some helpful resources if I have any to offer.
If you don't want direct tutoring on stream (or even if you do!), feel free to stop by my Discord server at https://discord.gg/k4gDad5, where we talk about coding, gaming, and plenty of other nerdy stuff! :) Everyone's welcome, just don't be a jerk. ;)
I'll be posting more about this in the future depending on the response I get. Feel free to hit me up with questions if I can clarify anything. :)
Finally - this is a bit of an experiment; I've never tried this before so I will also be learning as I go. :) Suggestions/feedback appreciated.
Thanks for your interest and good luck in your coding adventures!

Hey! So I'm super new to Tumblr, please be kind.
I'm a tabletop rpg designer. I develop games and do freelance writing. Most of my current work is with Onyx Path, but I've done some stuff with Magpie, Green Ronin, and JWP (back when that was still a thing).
Things you might have read and not realized I was involved:
Exalted: Essence (I wrote the social and combat mechanics)
The Trinity Continuum (I developed the mechanics for the Core and Aeon, and I developed Adventure!, I also wrote on a ton of other books like Assassins)
Avatar Legends (I wrote the Kyoshi era adventure in the companion)
Werewolf: The Apocalypse 20th (I wrote on a couple of supplements for this)
Mage: The Awakening 2e (I wrote the magic system for the core book)
Vampire: The Requiem 2e (I developed almost all the supplements for this before Paradox stopped approving things)
If you want to see a full (not at all up to date) listing of my work, you can find it at my freelance website.

I know when a tutorial or like person who has been programming for a long time says "you should take errors as tips and a helping hand instead of something negative" they try and help you out!
and i bet that would make error hunting way less annoying
but like.. no, i hate errors, if it was a person i'd punch it in the face.
i'm sorry errors, i'm sorry debug menu, but we can never be friends.

let today = new Date(11 April 2023);
Life as of recently!!
I'm really enjoying backend stuff since my last two courses have basically just been figma prototyping, but I'm so happy to be back to coding. These weeks of figm-ing have really made me realize that code is where i want to be. But I'm also generally confused lol, it's up and down but i like it. I went bouldering, which is like the official sport of tech lmao. Also top right pic is of a bugged project me and my boyfriend are working on, and its so nice to just sit down and be accountable and confused with someone lol
Good luck with your studies 🌸

LOOK WHO'S BACKKKKKK
September 23, 2023 • Sunday
Hello, I have returned (sort of). I'm feeling a lot better, my flares have died down so I was a little motivated.
I didn't do much today — I had guests over so I chiller with them for bit, then sat down to practice some UI building!
Im building a calculator and used the actual calculator of my phone as a reference and a little help from @asterisquue. Honestly, I think I did a pretty good job! (It took me 3 hours)

Please help me answer some questions about 3D artists' software!
Hey, everyone! I am a second-year student who has to do research about the usage of 3D Software in the game industry. I wondered if someone who works in the industry (Indie or not) could help me by answering some of my questions. The questions mainly revolve around 3D-art.
Which software is used?
For what is this software used for specifically?
How much do you make use of this software?
Why do you use your chosen software, instead of comparable software? (For example, why use Maya over Blender?)
Which software is the most important to learn if someone wants to enter the industry as a 3D-artist?
Thx in advance!
