Loki: "It's about who."
I love Lokius as much as the next fangirl, but Loki isn't looking at anyone in particular when he says that it's about "who". He says the line right between Mobius and Sylvie, where no one is standing, because it is not his friends that are the "who", it's him. It's about who HE is. This story is about Loki discovering who he is and becoming a version of himself that he can love.
...and who is he? The God of Stories. THIS is what I climbed aboard the Loki series train for before it even left the station in season one. Give me all the Agent of Asgard vibes!

Frame Redraw!
Tumblr media
We've got to see quite a few times when Crowley was near breakdown and I knew I just had to select one of those moments.
I must admit I was influenced by the Aziraphale painting I did some time ago, so it got the same additions. I'm not sorry.
So here you go, another art-nouveau piece!
The shades in this context might seem a bit out of place at first, but the little cherub also has a tendency to cover themselves from view.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And the rendered piece!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
( f·r·i·e·n·d·s quote that inspired this:
"- When did you start to feel like a father?
- It must have been, the day after you were born. Your mother was asleep (...) they gave you to me (...) and all of the sudden you've grabbed my finger with your whole fist, and you squezed it so tight... and that's when I knew."
)
With PNG and PDF files to color, with backgrounds or without!
And a bonus, because I did not cheat the system and I drew the baby's face here as well.
Tumblr media
(They're floating but it will make more sense in the next post, there are clues in the background elements)
You can find the Aziraphale version with clicking the art nouveau tag in my post!

Alright people, new episode, new screenshots!
Tumblr media
Let's just start with the real star of the episode, Millerd Realboy!
Tumblr media
Honestly, it was nice seeing Millie get some attention, though I wasn't the biggest fan of how they treated Moxxie.
Like yeah, I could see him being petty and probably egotistical, but come on, she could have let him play the guitar, honestly, I was surprised she could play so well, then again, she's clearly good with her hands, and she's from Wrath, so at least that explains the banjo.
Man, Barbie! Barbie was pretty much what I was expecting. Funny bitch, and a Helluva lot like Blitzø, which makes sense.
Tumblr media
But maaaaaan, it hurt seeing Blitzø go through all that to find her. And He was so genuine! He genuinely wanted to help!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But Hey, at least M&Mresolved everything. Millie got her time in the spotlight and they love each other, so everything works out well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bonus Sad Mox; man tried so Hard, poor boy, just wanted some praise from his boss.

Obsessed with when Character A is not fully in control of their own body and it is only Character B’s impassioned speech reminding them of who they are and how much they love them that brings Character A back to themself

Wow I love that s2e5 of Loki was completely pointless
For everyone except Loki
Hear me out!! Seriously, none of that happened. None of it mattered. To anyone but Loki. It was entirely for his benefit, for his character development, for his knowledge. And that was amazing! I’m just gonna try and list all of the amazing parts
1) Loki is seemingly the only one unaffected by the unraveling of time
2) Loki learns to control his time slipping, making him the only one capable of moving through space, time, and dimensions
3) Loki’s time slipping (and his eventual control of it) is entirely emotionally based!!! (I love that trope so so much, I think it should be the standard for anyone with powers tbh!)
4) Loki is finally forced to admit his motivations, the deep one, the selfish one. Because let’s be honest. Everyone has selfish motivations. No one is completely selfless, let alone Loki. But it was so so important for him to acknowledge what he Actually Wanted for once! The one thing he’s always wanted. To belong. To not be alone. To have people around him who love and care for him and for whom he can love and care for too. It does a wonderful job of calling back to his explanations of his actions in season 1: about fear as a tool of the weak to appear strong. He pretends to be evil and cruel to hide how lonely he is. It’s a well known Loki fact (to me at least) that Loki only did horrible acts because he wanted attention. Every time he did something bad, Thor chased after him. It was their dynamic. But the moment Thor said “I’m done.” (Ragnarok) Loki realized his tricks wouldn’t work. He did something good instead, because being bad no longer got him what he wanted. But he was unable to admit that to himself. But now he did!! He admitted what he wanted and it was so so important
5) Loki took charge! He gathered the crew! He was allowed to have agency!
6) Loki had a great conversation with Sylvie! Again! He didn’t cave, he didn’t flop, he didn’t grovel! He did ask for her help, but he accepted her decision with grace. They spoke as equals and I loved it
Gosh it was so Loki-centric and amazing. His time slipping back to before any of it happened means it was JUST FOR HIM! Only he experienced it, only he has the memories, only he gained the perspective, only he developed as a character, only he got to drive the plot. It’s so different from anything they did in the first season. The enTIRE EPISODE was PURELY for LOKI’S benefit, in the LOKI SHOW. Like hello!!! Finally!!

Helluva Boss season 2 episode 5 thoughts
Just watching this helluva boss drama about the newest episode unfold. I saw some people complaining about this episode before I watched it so I was expecting something really shit but the episode isn't even that bad? We get the start of Millies insecurities about being seen as only a killing machine, a basic introduction to a character everyone couldn't wait to see and some funny even if cringy humour?
Also for once the pacing hasn't felt rushed to me and the tonal changes weren't as abrupt so that's a nice development.
Then there's the thing about people calling Barbie Wire a p*do cos she called the Councillor a kid, which is strange to me, cos first I thought it was obvious anyone supervising a bunch of kids, like a camp councilors, has to be an adult , and second has no one heard "kid" be used to call young adults like that by older folk??
It kinda feels like everyone forgot that this is a very explicit show? They're gonna skirt on the edges of dark and inappropriate humour?

There is something really telling narrative wise when you put season 2 episode 5 The Ultimate Enemy right after season 2 episode 4 Reign Storm. Danny spends most of Reign Storm using his powers in not so great ways. Like all his pranks on Dash.
Let’s get one thing straight before we get into the thick of it, Dash Baxter and Danny Fenton are not friends. Dash is Danny’s bully. That being said I don’t think it was the best idea to push his luck so much but using his powers to not get a nasty haymaker from his bully is fine to me. Now onto the actual episodes.
It’s stated time and time again that Danny is abusing his powers in Reign Storm. We’ve seen a build up to this during season one as Danny becomes more confident in his powers but it comes to a head in this episode. He’s using his powers recklessly and even Vlad Masters is calling him out on how he’s fighting dirty. At the end of the episode, Danny agrees that he’s not been using his powers the best and that he’ll try better. And then we go straight into The Ultimate Enemy.
Ultimate Enemy is kinda weird in that Danny just agreed to start using his powers better and the first thing he does is try to cheat on a test. Like my guy do you not remember Pariah Dark? The ultimate example of abusing one’s powers? Or Vlad? The guy who wants to use his powers to kill your dad and get with your mom? Come on my guy. This shit was last week and now you’re gonna use your powers to cheat on a test?
But like in Reign Storm by the end he doesn’t want to be like Vlad, he wants to be better. And then he meets his future self who is just like Vlad. Who isn’t afraid to kill someone just to get what he wants. Dan Phantom is exactly what Danny doesn’t want to be. He’s what Vlad wants Danny to be. I could probably go into this more but a headache is telling me not to. Might continue this post later.

Can't believe someone added a catboy to my gay pirate show. They better show themselves. So i can shake their hand.
Also excuse how rough this is, I'm being super normal about this show and I had to express those very normal emotions in an immediate sense.
Also i cant forget this scene of Ed being very, ahem, obediant, thus the pose. I'm feral I'm not sorry.

Loki Crazy Credits s2 ep5
Did anyone else notice that the end credits themselves were different?  The lines were now seen to be curving slightly and getting more pronounced as the credits play out. The letters in the names and titles are also changing slightly and then more drastically. A letter would be lifted or lowered compared to the rest of the word or shifted to lay on its side. It is different than any other credit from this show. The normally straight lines start to resemble the sacred timeline which is branching off into multiple timelines.
Resembling the destruction of the temporal loom
