Within Hogwarts many secretes and mysteries were held some solved and discovered. The castle may hold many secretes but within those wall were student holding their very own secrets. Y/N potter being one of them holding a secret that would shock not only her brother and friends but the whole school it self. What is that secret you may ask well. She was dating non-other the Slytherin prince Draco Malfoy

As the days passed, Y/N struggled to keep her emotions concealed from her oblivious brother. The weight of the secret relationship pressed on her, creating a rift between the twins who once shared everything.

After getting a good night's rest and attending your class you got ready for your last class of the day Care of magical creatures with Hagrid. It was a class where you were very excited about something you looked forward to. You headed down with Ron, Hermione and Harry honestly you didn't have other friends but them but that was mainly due to harry you never understood why he wouldn't let you just make friends of your own

As you were walking down the steps ron started to talk about divinations class and sirius black that the omen they got from class was serious and that harry could be in real danger

At time like this you were glad that you were to intertwined with that stuff cause he definitely scared you but you always someone got in the middle of their schemes

Hermione:Oh honestly Ron if you ask me divination is a very woolly all guess work if you ask me, now ancient runes that’s a fascinating subject

You always laughed when they argued seemed like they had a lot of chemistry and you never understood why they both couldn’t see it themselves

Ron: ancient runes? Exactly how many classes are you taking this term

Hermione: a fair few

That got you raising your eyes brow how was that possible you wondered

Ron: Hang on that's not possible

He paused for a second to think

Ron: ancient runes is at the same time as divinations you have to be at two class it once

Hermione: don't be silly ron, how could anyone be in two classes at once

After that hermione just started to mock the divination class she must have been very insulted if shes taking it this much to heart

But you really liked that class beside the part when harry got the grim it was interesting sadly you weren't that gifted either but you weren't to upset their were other magical professions you could try and right now was care of magical creatures

When you all arrived at hagrids hut you saw him gathering all the students so decided to gather around as told

Hagrid: i got a real treat for you all today

Hagrid: a great lesson, now follow me

You followed hagrid into the forest walking past trees and walking over logs it was such as lovely day for a lesson outside

As you arrived at your destination hagrid intrusted the student to stop chatting and form a group and open our books

Draco: Exactly how do we do that

At hearing that and worried draco would hurt him self i answer for hagrid to the surprised of him knowing the knowledge and other wanting to help a slytherin

Y/N: oh here draco you just stroke the spin of the book see

You showed draco with your own book and gave him a smile he did as you instructed and look at the book surprised it work

Draco: thanks potter

Y/N: no worries malfoy wouldn't want you hurting that pretty face

You giggle he would have laughed if other weren't looking so he decided to just be malfoy and stay silent at my comment

Hagrid: listen to what Y/N just said make sure to stroke the spin of the book to open then don't get yeer selves hurt

You walked back to your group but then noticed neville did stroke the spin of his book and was getting attacked oh neville you thought

Draco: Don't be such a wimp long bottom

Neville: im okay

He did not look okay within ripped clothes and was then attacked by the book again at that you did laugh

You saw your group near a rock and went up to them to put your stuff with them but as you got back harry look angry at you

What was his problem

Harry: why did you do that

Y/N: why did i do what harry be specific for all i know you could be asking about why i breathe

He was not happy with that remark and just kept glaring at me

Y/N: just in case you didn't know that answer its so my body can get oxygen to live

Harry: you know what i meant, why did you help malfoy you know he bullys us all the time right

Y/N: i know he does and that doesnt make me happy about it either and also i help him cause no one deserves to be eaten by a book kinda embarrassing way to go if you ask me

Harry: why didn't you help neville then aye

He looked at me as if he finally caught me doing something bad

Y/N: well i did say out loud what to do and other did follow my instruction neville clearly didn’t or didn’t hear

He was now fumming at me

But before he could say anything hermione decided to comment of the books

Draco: got this palace has gone to the dogs wait till my father hears that dumbledore has this oaff is teaching classes

I looked at him to shut up but it was too late

Dracos and group started to ohhh, draco took off his bag and started to walk up to harry. He was was handsome when he did that not gonna lie then draco looked scared and caused me to worry

We all look behind us scared but they wasn't any there we all look back seeing them put up their hoods making scary noises those jerks harry was pulled away by hermione and i decided to follow as we were walking i take out my special and start writing angrily and draco saw and decided to look at his

Book Pov

Y/N: I can’t believe you just did that, i know my brother is a git but your being one too rn also you scared me could have had a heart attack you jerk you said you'd try to be nicer to them that wasn’t nice

Draco: well-

The writing paused for a moment before continuing

Draco: well he started it i was just finishing it. Also i wasn’t think about scarying you im sorry and i do mean that bit okay i am sorry for doing that to you it was a dick move and i also know i said ill try and im not showing a good job at it its just a force of habit you know

Thinking for a bit about what he just wrote you replied

Y/N: you know he didn't start you made a comment about what hermione said and about hagrid that always gets him started you know that but i know you're trying so i guess i can let this go for now im still a bit angry but i know your doing your best for me so thank you.

Draco: i guess i did start it sorry but i'll keep trying for you, i hope you know that love

You closed the book and look towards draco making eye contact you gave him a smile that said i'm not angry which made him smile

After that little talk class started as hagrid brought out a hippogriff he look so beautiful

Hagrid: isn't he beautiful

Everyone watched in awe, shock, some people looked scared as he brought out buckbeak but i thought he was beautiful too

Hagrid: say hello to buckbeak

Hagrid threw him some dead ferret i assumed, buckbeak ate it up quickly alot of us thought that was pretty gross even me

Ron: Hagrid exactly what is that?

I looked a ron shocked

Y/N: seriously ron you don't know what that is

Ron: how should i know

I rolled my eyes at him, he was right though how would he know unless he did some reading in advance which i highly doubt or he was genuinely interested in the creature which again i doubt due to his question and reaction to it

Hagrid: that right there is a hippogriff, first thing you wanna know about hippogriffs is that their proud creatures, every easily offended, you do not wanna insult a hippogriff it may be that last thing you'll ever do

I started writing notes immediately to remember this for later, this was already my favourite class

Hagrid: now would want to say hello

Everyone suddenly backed away except me a harry, me even raising my hand

Hagrid: Well done Harry and Y/N, well done

Harry looked back seeing why he just got picked i laughed thinking of how bad his perception was

Hagrid: come on now

Me walking willingly while harry got pushed by ron

Hagrid: now you have to let him make the first move, its only polite

Me and harry waited for buckbeak to approach i could hear shuffling behind us not sure if they were backing away in fear or forward to get a better look

Me and harry then decided to walk on hagrids instructions slowly making sure to listen to what he had just told us

Hagrid: so step up give him a nice bow, then you wait and see if he bows back, if he does you can go and touch him, if not.. Well, we’ll get to that later

We walked up to buckbeak then did our bow listening to hagrids instruction to do it nice and low, occasionally looking up to see if buckbeak had bowed back

Then we heard buckbeak squawking and flapping his wings

Hagrid: back off, back off

We did as we were told i was starting to get a little scared

Hagrid: keep still

We stayed as still as possible i was shaking a little but i trusted hagrid, me and harry looked at each other for a sec then looked up at buckbeak to see if he had bowed back and as we did he bowed back to us

Hagrid: well done you two well done

We stopped bowing and just looked at buckbeak and hagrid waiting for his next instructions

Hagrid; you two can go pat him now, go on don't be shy

At hagrid saying that i made my way to buckbeak immediately to pet him but tried to do it as slowly as possible not to scare him as my hand got closer to his beak he accepted my hand and that made me very excited

Harry was a little hesitant but got there eventually and liked petting buckbeak

Hagrid: well done you two well done

Everyone started to clap as us and i felt pretty could about what i did today i decided to look at draco and he seemed pretty happy for me smiling even but i could tell he was worried

Hagrid then made his way to us saying something that made me excited and harry not so much

Hagrid: i think we may let you both ride him now

Y/N: what!!! ( i said in excitment)

Harry:what!!! ( harry said in worry)

Hagrid first picked up harry putting him onto buckbeak then myself i could tell harry was scared to do this, i was too but my excitement help me get over the fear

Hagrid: dont pull out any of his feathers, cause he won’t thank you for that

He then slapped buckbeaks behind causing buckbeak to rear up then start running then he took off

I held onto Harry tightly as he held onto Buckbeak. The force of the flight felt very strong at first but once we got high enough it felt amazing the wind blowing against us was cooling.

We then flew towards the castle and it looked more beautiful and magical from above. Seeing it from a different angle really gave you a new appreciation for the school.

Then buckbeak flew a bit closer to the water allowing me and harry to touch it and it was an experience i dont ever want to forget

Y/N: isn't this amazon harry, who would've thought you and me flying on a hippogriff it just magical isn’t

Harry: its amazing and of course its magical everything here is magical

Y/N: i'm glad this is something we can both share harry

Harry: me too

Buckbeak then flew back to where the class was being taken place and as we landed everyone clapped at our arrival

Hagrid helped us off since it was a bit high to get off

Hagrid: how am i doing on my first day

He whispered to both of us

Y/N: i think you doing amazing hagrid

Harry: absolutely brilliant

I then hear some people groaning i look towards the group and see draco making his way towards buckbeak this wasn’t going to end well

Draco: yeah, your not dangerous at all are you

Hagrid tried to warn draco but it was too late

Buckbeak wasn't too happy with malfoy approaching without bowing causing buck beak to rear up and scratch Draco's arm

Hagrid and I immediately ran to Draco worried he could have been seriously injured.

Hagrid calmed buckbeak while i went to look at draco

Y/N: oh my god draco are you okay, does it hurt are you hurt very badly

Looking at me draco could see how worried i was nearly in the burst of tear seeing that he may be seriously hurt

Draco: hey hey hey i'm okay see just a scratch nothings wrong see

I took a look at him but still wanted to make sure he was okay

Y/N: i think we should take you to be check properly just to be sure, HAGRID he needs to be taken to the hospital

Hagrid: i'm the teacher ill do it

He then picked up draco, which caused draco to act more dramatic for the crowed even though he told me he was fine

Draco then started saying he was going to regret this and i decided to follow still worried that he may actually been seriously injured

Y/N: i'm coming to wait up hagrid

I caught up to then before anyone could question why i was going to

[slight timeskip]

As we made it to the hospital draco was finally checked out his arm was then wrapped and put into a sling, as madam pomfrey was done with draco she left us alone

I hugged him tightly worried that he may have been seriously hurt but it was just a scratch luckily, he hugged me back and kissed my forehead

Draco: hey hey im okay so please stop worrying love, i swear im okay now

I looked up giving him a glare and then stopped hugging him

Y/N: WHY WOULD YOU DO SUCH A DUMB THING YOU COULD HAVE ACTUALLY LOST YOUR ARM, NOT ONLY THAT BUT I COULD HAVE BEEN LEFT WITH A ONE ARMED BOYFRIEND, HOW COULD YOU WORRY ME LIKE THAT AND PUT YOURSELF IN DANGER.

I was now huffing in anger after my huge rant, he looked guilty and a bit scared. I guess this is what he meant when he said he never wanted to be on the receiving end of my anger but he deserved it today. How could he do that to himself?

He then let out a sigh before grabbing my hand to hold it then spoke

Draco:I'm sorry that I did that i was a bit jealous that potter was getting a lot of attention and i guess i wanted some of that attention too

He then pulled my hand toward his lips giving it a kiss before looking at me again

Draco: I am really sorry that was dumb and i saw how much it worried you and it made me feel even worse that i did that im so sorry

I sighted letting go of his hand, moving it towards his face to cup both his cheeks to pull him for a kiss he kissed backed and it was my way of saying i forgave him for real we then pulled away from the kiss and put our forehead together

Y/N: i forgive you but don't do something that dumb again or else i will die of worry or will kill you before anything else gets you got it

He pulled away to look me in the eyes

Draco: i promise my love

I kissed his forehead getting up from wear i was sitting

Y/N: we should head to our next class

Draco: you would force and injured man to go to classes, i thought you were nicer then this

I rolled my eyes at him

Y/N: the nurse said you were fine and can go to class so lets go now

he sighed before getting out of the hospital bed

Draco: fine, but only cause I love you so much

i stopped in my tracks to look at him in shocked, he always called me love but he never once said i love you once

he looked at me confused

Draco: what?, did i do something wrong again

he laughed while saying that

i looked him right in the eyes before saying what i was going to say still shcoked he said it

He then realised why i was so shocked and was shocked him self but shook it off quickly before walking towards me then holding my hand again

Draco: i know we haven't been together that long not even a full year, But i truly do love you with all my heart and only you i do

i started to cry tears of joy i always wanted to say it to him but was scared id be saying it too soon and care him off but he felt that same and that made me so happy

Y/N: Draco i love you too i do and only you

i flung myself to Draco giving him a big hug

Draco: i'm glad or else else id be crying myself to sleep tonight

i giggled at that thought and looked at him and saw nothing but love in his eye and that moment i knew he was the one for me

We made our way to our next class which was a free period he walked in first i waited a few moment before entering the class as i made my way towards my friends and brother i could hear draco's friends talking about his arm

I rolled my eyes at the thought of how he was being dramatic again saying how he could of lost his arm

I then looked their way seeing a girl from draco's house i think her name was pansy, try to touch his arm that really pissed me off but luckily draco wasn’t having any of that either which made me happy to see he was so loyal to me

People looked shocked hearing i went with him but i shrugged it off as someone wanted to be helpful in the moment which most believed due to my reputation but my brother and his group not so much

Just as i sat down at the table i was questioned heavily by my brother and our friends

I just stared at him surprised he just went of at me like that, everyone was now staring at us and i could feel my face heating up in embarrassment

I decided to grab harry and lead him outside to talk no one needed to hear this as i lead him outside hermione and ron decided to join in probably to ask questions too

Y/N: WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU YELLING AT ME IN FRONT OF EVERYONE LIKE THAT WE GET ENOUGH ATTENTION AS IS BEING WHO WE ARE AND NOW YOUR JUST ADDING TO IT

I yelled at him in a whispered voice

Ron: I mean he kinda has a right a little bit, you've been acting really strange lately and we think it cause of malfoy

I looked at the hermione seeing she too had the same feeling as ron and my brother

Y/N: seriously i'm just being civil with him just because you're not doesn’t mean i have to do that same thing. Firstly, I went with him to the hospital wing because no one else was going too. Secondly, I'm practically the only one who’s nice to him just because I think everyone deserves to be treated humanely.

They looked at me surprised that i would stand up for him like that, just as they were gonna say something Draco walked out of the class coming our way

Harry: what do you want malfoy were a bit busy here

Draco: Dude she was just being nice to me, she was triy to help i tried to tell her to bug off but she wouldn’t

I looked at him worried that he may accidentally reveal out secret

Y/N: Malfoy this isn't your business you can go really

I looked at him pleadingly to let me handle this he really did need to come out and defend me

Harry: Oh yeah if she was just trying to be helpful then why did you call you draco and not malfoy every other time you've talked

I was still facing draco when he said that and i froze oh no he heard that shit shit shit what ami gonna do he's gonna try kill him

Just as i was trying to cover for us draco beat me to it

Draco: Cause a couple weeks ago i asked her to be my friend and to stop calling me malfoy if no one was around.

I started at him what the fuck are you doing dumby

Draco: she the only person whos nice to me genuinely so i just wanted to be friends with her i knew people would find it weird so i suggested to keep it secret for both our sakes and when people are around we act civil.

The trio looked at him in disbelief as if what he just told them was a joke but then harry face changed in to one of disbelief to one of a boy just discovered something

Harry: i knew it, i knew you were up to no good

At that i turned around in disbelief at what he said

Y/N: harry what are you talking about we're just friends

Harry: No, I knew he was up to something but now I know it's true. Y/N his only being friends with you to get under my skin he doesn't care out you like that or ever will his using you for his own game

I looked at him in shock at what he just told me i can’t believe he was actually using this argument

Y/N: i cant believe you harry, i can't believe you would think someone would use me to get under you skin, also i cant believe that you think so highly of yourself that someone of even do or think of that. Draco is a kind and caring person who would never do that

Then again he may not do that to me but i certain he might do that to crabe and goyle but that's not the point rn

Harry: i cant believe your defending him right now, we’ve been through so much together and you defending him and not me as well as just throwing away my warnings like that

Y/N: yes i'm defending him because he at least cares about me. Harry ever since we came to Hogwarts you've left me and that fine you know you have your own life. But you only come to me when you need something.

I took a deep breath before continuing with my rant toward him

Y/N:First year you hadn’t talked to me for months and when i tried to talk to you you kept brushing me off saying you had things to do but when you needed help finding information of the philosophers stone all of a sudden you had the time as well as when you needed help finding and thought of me and in second year, i tried to talk to you just for normal thing catch up even hang out from time to time but again you kept brushing me off even when i was also hearing the voices you brushed me off. And as always when you need help finding information and going on a dangerous adventure I finally pop up. Finally this year, you've gotten better at talking to me but i know for a fact you hiding something from me when arthur talked to you and you won’t tell him i wasn’t going to ask because you know my brother will tell me when he's ready but apparently you won't

After yelling at his face I walk to draco’s side facing him and the others. They looked at me shocked that i just yelled at harry and walked towards draco’s side

Y/N: so yeah ill defend draco cause at least i know my company and friendship aren’t conditional and that when he wants to talk,hang out or ask for help that his doing cause he cares and not cause he needs something from me

I then look at draco smiling and he smiles back at me

I look back at the trio

Y/N:I dont wanna speak to you until you apologise and learn to treat me as your sister and not as someone who you can talk to when you just need a favour. Lets go draco

I grab draco's hand and walk away with him. I quickly let go of his hand thinking what other people might think

Draco: sorry you had to do that i feel bad that i go in the way of you too i never meant to do anything like that i hope you know that

I gave a gentle smile

Y/N: i know you'd never do something like that on purpose so don’t worry. Also i hated when they talk badly about you and when they think your using me. I know you not like that

Draco: Thank you for defending me, my lioness. It really means alot that you'd defend me even to your brother i know how much he may annoy but i also know that you cherish you bond so much so im still sorry and feel that it my fault that this happened

I stopped to look draco in the face properly

Y/N: draco it not your fault its all his own fault and until he apologies i won’t be talking to him so i have a favour to ask

Draco: what's the favour love

Y/N: i know this may be alot to ask but would you mind that we make our “friendship” public so we can finally spend time together and so i can sit with you during break

Without hesitation he hugged me tightly and checking around for anyone around then kissed before saying

Draco: Of course love we can do that and how about tonight you have dinner with us

So, I'm new for these 3 ships (like < 2 years). I finished hp books and merlin BBC just last year and finished voltron 2 years ago. Like I thought, it's hard for me to find a blog with these 3 ships so I'm so excited when I found your blog. Thanks so much for your blog, I love it.

Original Question: "(What are xy's) personality strengths and weaknesses? Why? What do you love about their dynamic?"

Drarry:

Draco: Draco is a leader and he knows his place. His strengths lay in his self confidence, observation skills and the fact that he knows his friends (and enemies) well, although he chose neither of them. Those are, by the way, marks of a true Slytherin, which is something Draco is the epitome of. He's sly, smart (although not as smart as Hermione) and focusses on tradition and his appearance. At this point I want to say that his upbringing plays a huge part in his character development as a child.

Draco's weakness is what I believe is the reason for Slytherins being known for harboring dark mages: He's easy to manipulate. People who have such a strong foundation in their self estimation, in their tradition with focus on family, friends, and blood bonds can easily be driven to do really bad things. While Draco is a leader, he doesn't know how to stand in for himself or for people he doesn't have complete control over when he suddenly isn't in charge anymore. He obsesses easily. The ties that made him strong in the past, tie him to Voldemort's schemes.

BUT, and that is the reason why the Malfoys are pardoned in the end, Draco has a sense for justice. He is self aware enough, and empathetic enough to know that the side he's on is the wrong one. He just doesn't have the ability to break free.

(One weakness for fun: Draco is bed at insulting people. Mudblood was not his creation, it was a common term. Draco's best insults were "Potter stinks" and "Weasley is our King." He's pathetic, I love him. Ginny's poem to Harry was more insulting, like seriously.)

Harry: Harry's strength is openness, empathy, courage, luck and a certain amount of wit. Harry has his own mind and he stands by what he believes in. He is a good judge of character and knows his own limits. He also has a strong sense for justice, although he's not as rebellious as his father had been. Harry sticks more to rules than James Potter ever did. (Harry is also a pretty good Quidditch player)

Harry is quick to agitate. He has a strong competitive side and tends to be a bit oblivious to his surroundings, and often even himself. He's emotion driven and that's what makes him sort of easy to manipulate as well. However, he is quick to accept deaths and work through traumatic events without having complete melt downs.

Their dynamic:

What I love about Drarry is that if the final HP scene had been cut off, it would have made the most sense (imo). Heck, even WITH the scene, the Drarry moments are still superior to most other ships.

They begin with a rejected friendship, a friendship that probably would have been the only friendship Draco would have actively chosen for himself, that leans into rivalry, then enemies and then a mutual understanding so deep and almost intimate that leaves their adult selfs capable of being everything at once.

After everything that has happened, they couldn't possibly be together. Not with Draco still following tradition and being forced into marriage (I swear, Draco could come out and it wouldn't change a thing, except that it makes far more sense than Dumbledore's coming out, again, imo.) And not with Potter becoming an auror afterwards who made sure that Draco's family was safe. The power difference makes it all very difficult. Draco knows his place and his duties and right then, they are beneath Potter, yet, Draco understands Potter's struggles better than anyone else, just like Harry understands Draco's suffering better than other Death Eaters or Ron and Hermione ever could.

What I love about them is that despite their differences, they are somewhat equal and symbolically so. Draco is a villain who was saved by Harry, and who saved Harry (at the manor). AND, what I really love, is that Harry could only win because of Draco's wand. The wizarding world owes Harry, of course, but Harry owes Draco for the wand, for the power over the elderwand. Harry stole three wands at the manor, but it was Draco's that suited him best. I love that Draco has silver hair and grey eyes, while Harry's are pitch black and his eyes green. I love that, even when Harry himself and his friends doubted Harry's heritage to being Salazar's heir, Draco knew it wasn't Harry. I love that Draco was more aware of Ginny's feelings for Harry than Harry himself had been. I love their rivalry on the Quidditch field, I love that Harry immediately knew that Draco had the mark because Draco STOPPED obsessing over Harry. I love that Harry knew the only reason for that to happen could be Voldemort. I love that Harry misjudged him and from the moment at the tower when Dumbledore died that Draco was a pawn and never wanted any of this to happen. That Draco was doing his best under the circumstances. I'm trying to explore these moments in "Second chances", but I suppose since you follow me for Drarry content, you knew that already.

I tend to stay away from the Harry Potter fandom, and I honestly haven't read many fanfictions there. I prefer to write - well, I delayed the fanfiction mentioned above because of fandom/author toxicity. Originally, I wasn't even sure whether to upload it at all. But after 2 years of contemplation, I've come to a conclusion. I just... tend to feel bad when I dive too deep into this fandom and see people on instagram spead hate to artists and in comments on ao3, or even on tumblr and I feel bad for working on the fic in general and yeah... that's why I can't name any fics, I'm very sorry. It's emotional and complicated.

Klance:

Keith: Keith is independend, he grows emotionally stable through the years, even though he starts off rather unhinged. But he's a skilled fighter and a compassionate leader who values his teammates and their input. He's a quick thinker and ambidextrous ;) And he puts the people he loves first.

Keith's weakness is that he's unhinged and and likes to head face first into trouble. Yet, he hates responsibility and he hates putting other people in the same positions he readily puts himself in. He also struggles with his identity in the beginning before he learns to accept it. He grows a lot, which is why it's difficult to make out individual strengths and weaknesses.

Lance: (Oh boy) Lance has good instincts, is a great shot and knows people. Not as well as Hunk does, but Lance knows how to deal with them. He's a decent strategist and grows into his responsibilities. He's also flexible (I don't mean physically, I mean mentally. He goes from ice paladin to fire paladin! But I guess physically as well, lmao ;) )

Weaknesses ... Lance has so many issues! He struggles with self worth, his place on the team/in the world. He has imposter syndrom, doesn't have faith in his own abilities, considers himself the dumb one (thank you bob, you useless god), he has depression and loses his friends one by one to each other, or a time warp that holds Keith for 2 years, only to learn that he was 'too dumb' to notice that Shiro was dead (thank you, Voltron writers, wtf).

Lance is observant (he was the only one to recognize Keith's change), he is selfless and heroic right from the very beginning (the bomb) and connects well to the mice. He's sensitive and compassionate and matures into a semi confident right hand man.

I like his take on masculinity and I find his flirting endearing... but I don't like that he's reduced to being a love interest in the end. A REBOUND no less. Lance is someone who, I believe, should be loved with confidence, not with a guilty conscience and the 'realisation' that he was better than Lotor. Fuck that. (Sorry, I was really mad at that point in the show R.I.P.). I also think that SOMEONE should have said something about the Voltron show being toxic but I suspect that I'm the only one who got angry at that...

I find the marks Lance now has a weakness, because they make it impossible for him to move on from Allura. I find that a bit unfair, tbh. And I think it's sort of sad that he became a farmer. He's the first one to go into retirement and I think that marks him as the only person who couldn't fully move on and who is drowning in depression. Not that being a farmer is a bad thing, it just isn't Lance. It feels wrong.

(Btw, no offense to Allura shippers! I absolutely get where that ship os coming from, (I'm a multishipper, lol,) I just think that THIS form of them becoming canon is a disservice to the ship itself. I believe I even read that the showwriters made Allura appear younger so the ship could become canon. I have no idea, I just think they had more to build that ship on and didn't give it the chance to fully embrace it's potential)

Anyways. Klance dynamic:

Who doesn't love rivals to lovers? In this case it's officially rivals to best friends, but seriously? The bonding moment? Them supporting EACH OTHER through their emotional difficulties? Keith helping Lance with his lack of confidence while Lance helps Keith carry the unwanted responsibilities ? *Chef's kiss*

Them knowing each other's strengths and weaknesses to a T! Mutual understanding, baby! Them encouraging each other and accepting their flaws, to the point where they can tease each other without mercy. Fire and ice, samurai and sharpshooter!, team leader and co leader, both growing as people as they adopt each other's fighting styles. It's just so good. I love them.

I also love that while Lance was always told to be more like Keith, Keith NEVER expected Lance to do that. He wasn't even aware of it. Keith stepped back to give Lance what he wanted, Keith listens to Lance more than others, Keith values what Lance has to offer more than anyone else, and Lance learns that Keith sees him eye to eye and not from a pedestral.

At the game show, they chose EACH OTHER! I believe in post canon Klance, and I'll stand by it.

Keith is pining and in denial, while Lance is mostly in denial. And I love that too. They are very fun for me.

Fic recs: 1. Dirty Laundry. I HAVE to name this one! Sorry, it has an emotional choke hold on me. There are multiple one of these because the original author has been bullied into deleting the story. It's still my favorite within the fandom. Anyway: The premise is that Lance bribes Keith into being his fake boyfriend for a week, in exchange for doing his laundry. I keep envisioning Lance's home as my godmother's home and yeah... It's very well written too.

2. Read all about it Summary: Keith is Altea High’s star athlete. And Lance, a wily reporter for the school newspaper, is crushing hard. The only problem? They’ve never actually met before. So when Lance decides to broadcast his long-hidden feelings in an explicitly romantic exposé, he ends up accidentally sparking a school-wide epidemic. Suddenly the entire student body is in on the drama, but are words truly enough to win over the school’s enigmatic heartthrob?

3. Shut up and dance with me Summary: Lance and his friends have been regulars at the Altea Dance Studio for years. Not just for classes, but to hang out, practice, and spend time with good people who love dancing. Every year, they audition to be one of the few representing Altea at the regional dance competition. Lance always auditions solo, but this year he misses out on auditions and blows his chance to participate. And so does his self-proclaimed rival, Keith.

Luckily, Shiro comes up with a brilliant plan: convince Lance and Keith to audition as a duo.

With a little convincing, and a lot of effort, these two might just be able to pull it off and go to regionals... or they might crash and burn. Comment: This one MADE me try out dancing in my room and I just - gods, I love this fic.

nottpott prompt: It's not a double date. We're just third and fourth wheeling.

Hermione gave Harry a light push to walk forward. They spotted her husband's beacon of a hair amongst the crowd. Beside him, a curly-haired man of a very familiar stature.

"I told you I can't do this," the Chosen One hissed. "You're setting us up."

"Draco promised you free workload for a week just so you two could join us," she slapped his back the way she always does when her best friend needed encouragement. "Chin up, Harry. Consider this a double date."

"It's not a double date. We're just third and fourth wheeling-"

His grumbles died out when they finally met with the other pair. The married couple exchanged quick kisses while Harry stood awkwardly beside his former lover.

It was him who spoke first.

"Potter."

He cleared his throat, "Theodore."

The Granger-Malfoys watched the exchange with clear malice written on their faces.

It was Hermione's idea and Draco's scheming that led up to this moment. Months after the infamous Potter-Nott falling out, they simply got tired of their best friend's sulking while they obviously still have feelings for each other.

Draco led them inside the restaurant to have the most torturous dinner of their lives. They were halfway through the first course when Hermione sparked a conversation.

"You two are still working on the Fischer case, as I've heard," she gestured to both Harry and her husband.

The ravenhead shot her an accusing look that told her he knew what she was trying to do. Hermione pinched his arm under the table.

"Yes," Harry squeaked, "the muggle lead was unfortunately obliviated by the other Aurors. We're still trying to recover her memory."

"That's good."

"I'm wondering if Theo here might help us," Draco nudged at the brunet beside him, "since this is your specialty."

Theo grimaced, "There's lots of other Mind Healers. Besides, I'm terribly busy."

Hermione heard a scoff beside her.

"I see you haven't quite changed, huh."

Theo stared blankly, "What's that supposed to mean, Potter?"

"You're always busy."

"I work hard for what I do. I'm sorry some of us don't have 'The-Boy-Who-Lived-Twice' written in our resumes-"

"No one asked you to give it up-"

"It's what you implied!"

"Stop, both of you!"

Hermione slapped her fist on the table, nose flaring. Draco took a sip of his water, nervously eyeing his angered wife.

"Sorry, I just-" Harry was the first one to stand up. She caught the misery on his pale face as he briskly walked out.

"Sorry, I ruined dinner," Theo said and he gracefully led himself out as well.

Draco and Hermione glanced at each other, shoulders slumped and disenchanted at their failed operation to get the two idiots back together.

It was after dinner, when the couple was walking out of the restaurant, that they had to do a double take at what they saw.

Theo was pushed against the wall by the dark corner of the street as Harry deepened their kiss. They were snogging, rough and desperate, as if they were fighting a duel in the form of lust.

Draco pulled Hermione away so as not to disturb them. The two apparated back to their estate, grinning like they had just received their NEWTs scores once again.

Harry turned around to see Malfoy approaching him in the otherwise empty corridor. He nearly sighed. He was so relieved to finally have some space to himself without having to hide under his invisibility cloak. And here Malfoy was, albeit unknowingly, disrupting his respite from the pestering fans.

"Yes, Malfoy?" Harry tried not to let his annoyance show in his voice.

Malfoy didn't seem fazed. "I have a proposal for you."

Harry raised an eyebrow. "Alright?"

"We've been getting on this year, no?"

Harry considered this for a moment, before nodding slowly. Malfoy's apologized to everyone at the beginning of the year, and he'd thus far followed through on his promise of having changed. The two of them had managed to partner in Potions without fighting, which was a refreshing change of pace for them; of course, not trading punches and cutting insults meant that they cleared a bar that was set at the core of the earth. Still, it was an improvement, and there were even times that Harry found himself being amicable with the git.

Such as right now.

"...it would only require one or two dates in public, only to get people off our backs and--"

Harry shook himself. "Wait, back up--what did you say?"

"I said I think we should date."

Harry sputtered. "W-what?"

"Well, you are bisexual, right? You came out in the Prophet over the summer after your break up with Ginevra?"

Harry frowned. "Yes?"

"Well, I'm gay. We've both been harassed by other students this year--you for being the Savior and me for...my past. It might make people at least physically stay away from us both if we pretend to be romantically attached."

"Why can't we just be friends?"

Malfoy rolled his eyes. "That won't work; they'll think McGonagall put us up to it to 'set an example.' This is just insane enough to be true."

"So what would this mean, exactly?"

Malfoy pursed his lips. "I think a couple of dates in Hogsmeade, sitting with each other's friends at meals, and some hand-holding should be plenty. No need to snog or anything--such a stark difference in our interactions will do the trick. Then we just gradually spend less time together and they'll assume we're broken up and by then they'll be used to not harrassing us."

"Alright," he said, trying not to stare at Malfoy's lips and consider what it might be like to kiss him.

Those lips curved into a small smile. "Okay then, Potter, since today is Friday, shall we meet at the entrance and walk together to Hogsmeade for our first date?"

Dazed, Harry nodded. "Sounds good Malfoy."

Malfoy's mouth twisted. "You should call me Draco."

"Er, what?"

"Couples don't call each other by their surnames," Mal--Draco rolled his eyes. "We've got to be believable."

"O-kay Draco."

Draco gave him a pleased smile that made Harry's insides flip. "Alright then, Harry, I'll see you tomorrow."

"Sure, yeah."

Draco smirked a little. Then, suddenly, he leaned in and planted a quick kiss on Harry's cheek. He was gone from the hallway an instant later, and if Harry didn't know better he'd think Draco had Apparated.

He stood there, his mind whirling with images of pale hair, glittering grey eyes, and softly smiling lips that leaned in to press against his skin.

Harry was totally fucked.

Tea Time

Prompt/Request: “Hello! Prompt: drarry, summer day, it's raining, but it's warm, the air smells fresh like rain and grass. They're sitting in the terrace of Manor and drinking some berry or herbal tea. It'd be good if it'd be the beginning of the relationship, or the first kiss, or even pre-slash. Drip, drip, drip

Relaxing deeper into the high-back lawn chair- imbued with cushioning charms, it seemed- Harry let his eyes fall closed and held his teacup closer to his chest. The steam wafted upward toward his nose, heating the small chill he felt there while smelling pleasantly like bergamot. He took a small sip of his earl grey tea, humming quietly in content. Hearing a small giggle, he looked out of the corner of his eye toward Narcissa, smiling and narrowing his eyes.

“Is something funny to you, Mrs Malfoy?” She only giggled again in response, shaking her head toward him. She made a point of holding her teacup delicately- in opposition to Harry’s holding his with both hands fully, covering the entirety of the ceramic- sitting up straight and folding her legs at the ankle like a ‘proper woman.’ It always amused Harry to witness her being ‘proper,’ as she called it, whenever they had tea together. Which seemed to be happening more often lately. However, staring at her posture, Harry couldn’t help but wonder if holding that position all the time just hurt her back.

“It just seems as if you’re enjoying this, Mister Potter,” Narcissa replied softly, glancing over with a small smile and a teasing look. Harry rolled his eyes at the use of his last night, shaking his torso back and forth to help scoot up higher in the chair. He took another quick sip of his tea before placing it down on the garden table between the two of them, looking out toward the rain falling around the terrace they sat upon on the Malfoy estate.

“The rain has always had a calming effect on me. I never really knew why.” Harry smiled, tilting his head and glancing back toward Narcissa. He reached a hand toward her, laying his gently on her own. “Thank you for inviting me over for tea once again. It was very generous of you.” Narcissa scoffed lightly, taking her hand out and patting Harry’s in return.

“Oh, dear. Don’t pretend that you come here to humour an old lady like myself. I know you’re only here to catch glimpses of Draco.” Harry’s eyes widened, taking his hand back and surreptitiously glancing around before looking back to her. He opened his mouth to deny, but stopped once she raised her hand in a halting manner. “Oh, don’t try to evade the truth, Harry. I’m not as oblivious as my dear son, it seems.” Harry blinked quickly, at a loss for words. Quickly, to give himself something to do, he reached for his cup and took a scalding gulp of tea. Narcissa hummed softly, taking a sip of her own just before the doors behind them opened.

“Mother, have you heard from- oh, Potter, what a surprise,” Draco finished in a mumble, his eyes tracing Harry’s form before blinking twice and turning quickly back toward his mother. He cleared his throat, watching Narcissa take her time to turn and give her full attention to her son. “Have you heard from Pansy? She’s supposed to help me with the-” Draco coughed, glancing quickly toward Harry before looking back to Narcissa, “The thing that she promised she’d help me with.”

“She’s supposed to help with the thing?” Harry parroted, cocking a grin toward him, raising an eyebrow. Draco placed a hand on his hip, narrowing his eyes slightly toward Harry before looking back toward his mother. She almost seemed entertained by their banter, though the moment she noticed it wouldn’t continue, she let out a put-upon sigh.

“Well, I suppose I shall go floo her then, shall I?” Narcissa stood, brushing imaginary lint off of her white dress robes while Draco spluttered, shaking his head.

“No, mother, you’re entertaining. I could just go floo her myself-”

“Oh, nonsense,” Narcissa replied, waving her hand in a dismissive manner, a devious little smile lighting up her face, “Although, you are correct that I am hosting a guest. Perhaps you could sit with Harry here for me?” She approached Draco, kissing his cheek and patting the spot softly with her hand twice, mumbling a, “Thank you, dear,” before making her departure.

Both boys watched as Narcissa sauntered back inside, turning and closing the glass door behind her. They turned and met each other’s eyes, both glancing away quickly as if not wanting to be caught looking at the other. Slowly, Draco made his way to the now unoccupied seat, sitting gently in the chair just as a new teacup popped into existence on the table between them. Draco gingerly took the teapot, pouring himself some.

“So,” Harry mumbled, fidgeting his hands together, “It’s very relaxing out here on the terrace?” It wasn’t meant to be a question, but the end of the sentence sounded a bit higher pitch than the rest due to his nervousness, and he hoped Draco wouldn’t call him out on it.

“It is. Mother used to have tea here with me every week as a kid,” Draco mumbled, taking his teacup and taking a small sip before resting the cup on his lap, watching the rainfall around them. Harry considering turning to look as well, but this seemed like an opportune moment to study Draco without him noticing, so he took his chance. His eyes feasted on the scene of Draco sitting calmly, a soft smile began to spread across his face. “I wasn’t a particularly rambunctious child, but sitting here always calmed my nerves back then.”

“I can imagine,” Harry replied quietly, glancing away quickly once Draco turned to look at him. “I mean, she’s been inviting me over for tea time pretty often, and it’s always so peaceful here.”

“She’s the one that’s been inviting you?” Draco mumbled, and Harry glanced up toward him, their eyes meeting.

“I mean, yeah. Is that- uh, do you not want me here? Is it a problem?” Harry could feel his stomach turn, hoping he hadn’t bothered Draco in any way. However, watching Draco suddenly shoot his hand out, shaking his head quickly, he felt the knots in his stomach loosen, and a fluttering feeling replaces it.

“No! I mean, it’s fine that you’re here. That mother invited you. That you’re here because my mother invited you for tea and you came to see her, that’s fine!” Draco rambled quickly, waving his hand- Harry opening his mouth to refute- before accidentally tipping his teacup over and spilling over his pants. He gasped, standing quickly and looking down at his pants, Harry jumping up and reaching for a few napkins near the snack plate and moving to try and pat him dry before realizing that it’s his pelvis and that if he does this he might actually touch his-

“It’s fine!” Draco says frantically, his voice slightly high pitched as he takes a step backwards, knocking into the chair he had been sitting it and toppling it. It hit the floor with a resounding crack! while both boys stared at each other with wide eyes.

It felt as if time had stopped, staring into each other’s eyes for a few moments too long before Draco starts to laugh softly, then louder until he’s bent at the waist, wiping a tear from his eye. Harry watches him until he realizes what had just happened as well, laughing along with him. Draco shakes his head in exasperation, taking his wand out of his holster and waving it in a drying charm, and the realization hit Harry of just how hard he’s fallen for Draco.

“I’m not here just to see her,” Harry mumbled, causing Draco to glance up and raise his eyebrows, asking him to repeat himself. Harry cleared his throat, raising a hand to rub the back of his head. “I mean, yeah, she invites me. And I do come to see her. But I also come to- well, to hopefully see you as well?” He chuckles softly, glancing down at the grey stones under their feet. It was silent for a few moments, and Harry began considering how bad he might’ve messed up before hearing Draco whisper in reply.

“Why?”

“What?” Harry asked, furrowing his brows and glancing up. “Why?” He repeats, then blinks, shrugging. “I mean, you’re certainly attractive, so you’ve got that going for you. But I was also hoping I could talk to you every time I’ve seen you. You’ve changed since the war, and I enjoy our banter.”

“Our banter?” Draco repeats quietly, taking a small step closer toward Harry. Harry nods slowly, dropping his arm and laughing softly.

“Yeah. Though, Narcissa’s caught me out.” Harry shrugged, grinning, “She told me that she knew I came over to see you because of my crush- oh,” He laughed, not realizing what he said but continuing on, “She called you oblivious! I bet you’ll have a right laugh-”

“Crush?” Draco repeated quickly, loud in the stillness around them. Harry blinked, realizing what he said and widening his eyes. He felt his cheeks and ears heat up in a blush, and he chuckled softly.

“Uh- well- I didn’t realize I said that, but yeah.” Hoping he didn’t just ruin everything, he watched for what Draco would do next. The blond seemed taken aback, his mouth falling open slightly before he came to himself, taking another step closer and reaching out his hand slowly, giving Harry plenty of time to lean away.

“On me?” Draco placed a hand softly against his cheek, and Harry couldn’t help but lean into it slightly.

“Well, of course,” Harry whispered softly, watching as Draco began leaning closer slowly. It was as if they were both moving in honey, but eventually their lips touched, and the result was much sweeter than honey. Draco slid his hand across his jaw, to the back of his head, pulling him closer as they both pressed their chests closer, Harry letting his hands land lightly on Draco’s hips. When they finally pulled apart, Harry rested his forehead against Draco’s, smiling brightly. Draco cleared his throat softly, both of them staring into each other’s eyes.

“I might, also, have a small crush on you as well.” Harry’s eyes squinted as his grin widened, before rushing forward and kissing his lips again, pulling Draco’s hips closer to him. It felt amazing to finally have Draco in his arms, and he could only thank Narcissa for bringing them together.

My 12 favorite reads of 2021

Hi everyone! This is an edit I made to showcase my 12 favorite fics of the year. I had an amazing reading year, in quite a different way than I had before, and that is: Most of the authors on this list haven't been featured in any of my yearly rec lists before!! And that makes me super happy because this fandom is full of incredibly talented people and I'm so happy to have found them this year, experienced their work and now be able to share it with you! So here goes, in no particular order:

1. first words of a shooting star - @piarelei - 15k - E

This story is about brandy abstinence, raising your son to be a better man than you are, indulging in hot chocolate with your best friend, and falling in love with Harry Potter. Or Draco accidentally gets knocked up. It's all Harry's fault.

This was my last fic of the year and I was over the moon with how much I loved it. Harry's characterization is my kryptonite, and the themes explored warmed my heart and made me weak. A delicate, purposeful approach to falling in love and gaining a family in the process.

2. tinder, flicker, flash - @americanmoths - 80k - M

Molly Weasley takes Draco in after Narcissa, wanted for many murders and schemes, abandons him in the forbidden forest. This is a Drarry story, so obvs your fav schoolyard enemies fall in love, but first Draco has to learn to love his adopted family. ft. magical Zoom calls, gay solidarity, a prank war, a real war and George Weasley’s unsubstantiated belief in his own psychic abilities. a story where nobody makes any good decisions, yet everything turns out ok.

No words can describe how much I adore this. The worldbuilding is incredible, and the redesigning of the character arcs is masterful and stunning. My favorite depiction of Draco I've read in a long time, an intriguing take on the war and magical theory, my new favorite Malfoy family dynamics, the best Draco and Ginny friendship I've ever read. Truly, every detail of this will live in my mind rent free forever. I was itching for a reread the very second I finished it.

3. sink your teeth in - @softlystarstruck - 3k - E

Harry, or the wolf, or the wolf-that-is-Harry, is possessive. But he's trying not to show it. Draco, though? Draco wants to be wanted.

Anyone, literally, anyone who knows me will tell you that my two favorite things in the world are werewolves and a powerful Harry Potter. The way Bee managed to crystalize every single one of my daydreams into this absolute stunning, scorching hot gem of a fic, launched me directly into the sun. My personal hottest fic of the year. This is also a blanket rec for everything Bee has ever written. They have the best pen I've had the pleasure of encountering in a while.

4. Watch The Castles Burn - @moonflower-rose - 21k - E

Draco Malfoy knows better than to get involved with Harry Potter. If only someone would have reminded him of that six months sooner, then maybe he wouldn't be in quite such a large mess.

Probably my most reread fic of the year. This morning I finished my 7th reread, and I'm not stopping anytime soon because it just has the most delicious, mercurial dynamic with the absolute perfect dose of pining between friends with benefits who have no clue how to talk to each other. A proud Draco Malfoy who is surprisingly vulnerable and has no idea how hot he is, an equally oblivious Harry, meddling friends and Quidditch tops that are way too tight. Every word of this is a treat and a half.

5. Intention - @the-sinking-ship - 6k - E

Harry really ought to listen to whatever Ron is saying, but it becomes impossible to focus when a familiar figure across the pub curls his fingers around another man’s tie. And when that man leans in with a wolfish smile, Harry sees red, and all he can think is mine.

The way that just thinking about this fic has me fanning myself really tells you everything. The sexiest Harry, with a purposeful possessiveness and focus that makes him unstoppable until he has Draco right where he wants him. It's the kind of story that will have you breathing heavily and scrolling right back to the top as soon as you finish reading it.

6. The Arc of the Pendulum - brummell - 30k - E

After his father casts a mysterious curse on Harry Potter, Draco Malfoy is forced to try to make things right.

The most interesting take on werewolves I have ever read in fic. Very much a beauty and the beast retelling, with a lovely Draco who just wants to make things right and a... slightly feral Harry. The perfect combination of dark, sexy and sweet. Can't recommend it enough.

7. Echoes - @static-abyss - 5k - T

His name is Kier Warden, pureblood, white as fucking snow with big blue eyes and an arrogant tilt to his chin. He's got soft blonde curls and a winning smile, straight white teeth. He's perfect for the Wizengamot, the picture of abashed contrition whenever anyone turns to look at him. "Sorry, Mr Potter," he says. "I don't know what came over me." Except Harry knows. Because he heard the low murmur right before Warden bit him, the foul insult followed by the open disdain. He bit Harry because he can't stand that the Wizarding world loves someone who isn't perfectly white. He can't take the way the Wizarding world seemingly worships the ground Harry walks on. Kier Warden hates him, that's why he bit him.

God. I can't fit the many ways in which this fic resonated with me in just one comment. It speaks not only to my love for the pairing, or Harry's character, or even werewolf lore, no, it goes as deep as touching the strings of my Mexican roots. The culture in this, the traditions and grief and love, are so beautifully done that I struggle not to tear up when I remember it. Truly just a beauty of a story.

8. Veđr - @shealwaysreads - 2.7k - M

Norsemen have ranged far enough inland to find Harry, alone and abandoned by his kith and kin. But they bring far more than danger with them, they bring adventure, they bring magic.

Beautifully written, lyrical and unique. This story feels like it was built on the very foundations of the world, and it deals with magic, nature, power, finding your own people or letting them find you. One of my absolute favorite works by one of my absolute favorite authors. Honestly, truly one of a kind.

9. On Truth and Understanding - @iero0 - 21k - E

Draco doesn't know how to say certain things. Harry doesn't know how to ask for them. On a sultry summer's night, they finally talk about past wounds, current problems, and the future options that will change their lives forever.

Gorgeous, raw honesty in this incredible story about learning to show yourself, to talk to the person you love and find unconditional trust right back. This fic holds one of the most genuine, important conversations I've ever read them having, and the way the author approaches that, with impossible care and gentleness, had me tearing up the whole way through. Absolutely heart warming.

10. Quick As A Flash of Lightning, Unhurried As Eternity - @onbeinganangel - 10k - E

Can you fall in love with someone by simply watching them fiercely love another version of yourself?

The loveliest take of a glimpse into a better life. My heart ached for this Harry, his worries and his wants, and it was endlessly soothed by the love depicted in every detail of the world he finds himself in. With gorgeous prose and vivid emotions, the author guides us tenderly through it all. A complete beauty.

11. In Pursuit of Lost Marbles - @graymatters - 22k - T

Every night after work, Healer Malfoy follows the same routine, beginning with a familiar flight of stairs that leads to the Janus Thickey Ward at St. Mungo's. With an air of professionalism, he introduces himself to Harry, his husband of seven years, when a memory curse makes Harry look at him like a stranger. He tries not to flinch when Harry calls him sir, but he smiles when bits of the old Harry emerge. Eventually, Draco leads Harry to the Pensieve where he shows him pieces of the life they've built together, what Harry will come home to, one day, when this is all over. Then, Draco waits. He waits, and he hopes.

The ache of endless hope is presented in the most beautifully heartbreaking way. It is exactly as painful as you imagine from the summary, but just as soothing and beautiful in the immense love Draco holds for Harry, and how powerful a force it is. A tale of a life and home and hope, it made me cry and clutch my chest with happiness too.

12. Contractually Obligated - @fluxweeed - 11k - T

In what universe is it fair that marrying Draco Malfoy is the only way for Harry to get his magic back?

And last but absolutely not least, a favorite of mine amongst the many gems of this author's works! All the pining of an arranged marriage, with intriguing theory and amazing characterization. The nuance and depth of the characters is incredible, and the hints we get of their pasts and possible futures even more so. A fun, lovely, aching story that I could read and read and read and never ever get tired. The sequel is ALSO INCREDIBLE.
