Temari's win against Shikamaru Counts
So in the Chunin Exams, Temari's win counts.
I'm pretty sure that Temari canonically wanted a rematch and Shikamaru wasn't interested, because he felt Temari won fair and square.
I never understood why he felt that way until now.
Even though Shikamaru had a great plan to beat Temari, he didn't account for his own resources (i.e. chakra).
Therefore, even though she did not know about the game he had the two of them playing, she out maneuvered him long enough for him to burn through his resources.
At which point, he gave up, because he knew that he was also in a compromised situation.
Think about it. When he finally caught Temari, he did not have enough chakra left to incapacitate her and win the fight. The strategy to beat Temari was not as straight forward as the strategy to beat the Sound Ninja in the first round of the Chunin exams.
Once Temari was in front of him and he ran out of chakra, the two of them were out in the open. If his shadow possession jutsu ended at that point, Temari had plenty of chakra to return to her fan and blow him away with a wind scythe jutsu.
Up until that point, the only thing that had kept Temari at bay and stopped Temari from approaching Shikamaru was her fear of being caught by his shadow possession jutsu. Without that fear, Temari would have cornered Shikamaru and defeated him with one well placed jutsu.
Shikamaru knew this, so as soon as he captured her, he used it as an opportunity to surrender so that he would not run the risk of becoming seriously injured.
Now, with this being said, do I think Temari would another fight against Shikamaru? Absolutely. Hands down without a doubt.
Between the ages of Shikamaru: 14-20 and Temari: 16-23, Temari doesn't stand a lot of chance. Shikamaru in his prime simultaneously caused substantial bodily injury to two members of the Akatsuki.
However, if we read the Shikamaru Hiden about how Shikamaru negotiated with the 5 Kage to create post-war peace, you know that Shikamaru is deeply out of shape. By the time the Boruto series begins, Shikamaru is not fit enough to defeat a tree. Therefore, despite Shikamaru's immense intelligence, his wife Temari would probably be giving him the business in a fight. Also, remember that Temari is highly intelligent as well and often dabbles in strategy herself.

Thinking of him
Guys, english is not my main language, but I'm in love with fics and I want to share them with you. Hope you like it ♡
Anime : Naruto Shippuden
Pairings : Gaara X Reader
Genre : Cute, Sfw
Summary : When your best friend Tenten has caught you drawing stars, hearts and rainbows on the back of the notebook, and she's sure you have a crush on someone.
Tumblr media
You had no idea what Guy Sensei was talking about. He was explaining the technique that Neji was learning lately, but you were too concerned to think about your last missions. You never knew why Kakashi sent you on those missions, but you knew that you had started feeling some things you could not escape from.
You knew that he was not that type, and that what you feel is in vain. But who knows what the future could hide, right ? Maybe he would get to know you and feel the same. Maybe he doesn't catch feelings as fast as your naive heart. But one thing you knew. You didn't want the past to repeat, when you gave up fighting for the person you loved, just because you thought you would not solve anything. So this time you decided to fight. For your feelings.
But you could not stop poking small drawings on the back of the notebook. It was like an animated diary of your emotions. You had a red pencil in your hand, because you wanted to see him again. There were many obstacles that prevented you. The distance between villages, the fact that he is a Kazekage and probably has a lot of work. You knew it was a rigid type, and it does not show its feelings, always wearing the same expression on the face. You cannot decipher it, but something about him fascinates you that you cannot stop your thoughts.
You imagined how his hair of such a special colour was worn by the wind, how you lost yourself in his eyes that were so deep. All of his features fascinated you, and made your cheeks look exactly like his hair.
"Y/n, when do you have to talk to me ?" Tenten had put her hands in her hips, while standing in front of you. You supported your back from the hard bark of a tree.
"Uhm, I don't know what you are talking about" you are trying to get rid of her questions with the most classic reply. But you were 90% sure it would not work.
"Come on, you have been doing this for weeks. You cannot lie to me. I saw what was behind the notebook. I am your best friend" she now sits on the grass next to you, leaving Guy, Lee and Neji to continue the training.
You decide that it might be time for Tenten to know your secret, but at the same time you knew why you did not want to tell her. You knew that she would say that Gaara is not a guy you could feel like this for. And she will remember you what he has done in the past, and that he is too harsh and cold to give back what you want to show him. Love. Show him that somebody cares about him.
But you didn't want to give up. You didn't want to repeat the mistake.
"Tenten... I don't know what you're gonna say about it. I always wanted to tell you, I swear, but I couldn't. I thought you would say that it was stupid" her face was worried. She probably doesn't expect that, thinks you fell for a common friend between you and her.
"You can tell me anything. Come on, Y/n" your friend tries to smile but your face gets a shade of pink.
"I like a guy" Tenten looks at you with some bright eyes, but she will probably be disappointed when she finds out who you were talking about. She always thought you liked Neji. "No, Tenten, I don't think you'll be happy because I like a guy you hated a few years ago"
"Why ?"
"Because it ruined Lee's life" you say while your stomach is loaded with dozens of emotions. But Gaara has changed since then. You saw that on the missions you had together.

Political Ruin (Baki x Reader)
Synopsis: The Sand had much to rebuild, even after Gaara’s many years in office. As a prominent leader in the village, you were one of the names called upon to serve after the war. However, you were always more of a brawler and less of a diplomat.

You gripped your papers close to your chest, a deep, shaky sigh blowing past your lips. The room bustled with people, from elders to well-seasoned political figures to civilians who had never stepped a foot into the Kazekage building. They all stirred amongst themselves, and the chatter that echoed throughout the hall did nothing to quelch your nerves.
A few representatives from the Hidden Cloud had already engaged a few diplomats from the Hidden Mist; the entire ensemble crowded around a tall cocktail table in the corner. Despite the lines of seats that sat in front of the stage, only a portion of the people in the room sat down. Out of those who did, you saw a young man pull out a clipboard, no doubt talking business as a small group of politicians of mixed backgrounds gathered around him.
You felt a soft bump against the back of your left shoulder. Baki craned his neck only slightly as he stared down at your speech. You barely caught a glimpse of his upturned lips. You huffed, hugging the papers closer to you.
“Nervous?” he asked, squaring his shoulders back to assume an upright posture. You glanced up at him as Baki surveyed the room, watching the slow swivel of his head as he held his jaw clenched tight. Despite being only in your mid-thirties, you couldn’t help but feel as if you had grown out of the new-aged definition of a shinobi.
“This isn’t exactly my strong suit.” You gulped, considering turning around completely, but the thought of the entire room behind you seemed even less appealing than your current predicament. Baki quirked a brow, expression as severe as always.
“Not your strong suit?” he repeated. “You’ve led your fair share of squads before.”
“Squads are a handful of other people. Not… this.” You gestured to the room full of diplomats. “I swear, I’ve shaken too many people’s hands. Over twenty years as a shinobi, and small talk has never been a part of the job duties.”
“You’ll be fine.” Baki mused, and you couldn’t say he had been helpful.
A new group entered through the open double doors at the opposite end of the room.
“And here come the representatives from the Leaf,” you sighed, yet another pressure on your shoulders. After all, Gaara regarded the Village Hidden in the Leaves highly. You needed to build a solid relationship with the people the Leaf Village sent.
“You have new hands to shake, it seems,” Baki muttered as he checked the time. You scowled.
“You think you’re funny.”
“I can afford it. I’m not the one giving a speech, right… about now.” Baki caught sight of the Sand official walking onto the stage before you did. You followed his gaze, bouncing between eyeing the introducer and Baki’s calm and collected demeanor.
“What if I mess it up and fall into political ruin?” you whispered harshly. You couldn’t tear your eyes off the stage. It was taller than you remembered. “I haven’t even greeted the Leaf’s people yet. I wasn’t trained for this. Hell, we weren’t trained for this.” Baki’s hand gripped your shoulder firmly.
“You will be just fine,” he said softly but sternly into your ear. “You were trained for much worse, and, quite frankly, you can’t ruin a political career you don’t have.” He patted your shoulder as the announcer introduced you to the stage. “You’ll be fine. I’ll accompany you to the Leaf representatives afterward.”
You stared up at him, and with a slight nod, you offered him a nervous smile. With another deep breath, you made your way toward the stage stairs.
Thank you to all who liked, reblogged, followed, and supported. Your support means so much and is greatly appreciated.

I'm writing a story with Ishiko as the main character ^^ I have introduced too many characters and I have been willing to draw them all.
In order of appearance:
-Saiko: Shes's eighteen years old.
-Jiro: He's eighteen years old
-Ishiko: It is twelve years old to start (I like that it looks like a broomstick)
-Taro: He's twenty-one years old.
The four belong to the same clan although they are not related, except Taro and Saiko. There are more male characters, and not all of them have their faces covered :( I promise to draw you soon.

BOOK 1X: Midori's thoughts
-
3rd Sunrise, 6th moon, 1x year
Today, Baki came to me with a request. I'm not allowed to tell my siblings, yet, I feel I have no one else to turn to.
I feel trapped, the choices presented to me not really feeling like choices, the judgement and crisis if refused inevitable.
The village is still in shambles, the people panicking and anxious for what's to come. We don't even know what's coming. The elders are shocked and desperately trying to keep the chain of command, or what's left of it, intact.
With the Kazekage dead, his responsibilities have fallen to us, though obviously, we are currently incapable of handling such affairs. Temari and Kankuro are grieving. I'm not sure how I feel, but every time I look either of them in the eyes, I feel my sins crawling on my back and my consciousness eating me alive. I have no idea what's going through Gaara's mind, he does appear to be in thought most of the time though.
I had hoped that after the Chuunin exams, I could retire as a shinobi. But with Gaara's change of heart, I am unable to continue my path. New, unexpected pressure has revealed itself to me and in hindsight I think myself naive.
I can't say that this recent change has altered my approach towards Gaara, but I have been watching him more closely lately. He's expressed desire to become Kazekage, which is the reason Baki came to me in the first place.
Perhaps I still blame him, perhaps I blame him even more now that he's come to his senses. First he ruins my life, and now I'm expected to fix his.
The plan is simple, but will take a long time to successfully execute. Considering the ANBU captain is allowed to sit with the Kazekage and the elders when making decisions regarding the village, I am to attain this position. Once I do, gain the others' trust, influence their decision against making Gaara Kazekage.
Once executed, I am expected to keep up the facade towards my siblings, essentially forever.
At this moment in time, I have yet been told why it necessary this mission take place, but Baki said he'd explain further details once I have made my decision.
Every fiber in my being screams I don't want this, my anger towards Gaara still too apparent to be able to bring myself to help him.
But I'm curious...
Perhaps, I too could have what they have...
But time has proven again and again, I'm simply someone people would rather stay away from. I don't see why he would choose me back.
This is stupid, I'm going to bed.

You are my home
Guys, english is not my main language, but I'm in love with fics and I want to share them with you. Hope you like it ♡
Anime : Naruto Shippuden
Pairings : Gaara X Reader
Genre : Fluff
Summary : You are returning to Sand Village after a 1 month rang-A mission.
Extra Note : You are not Gaara's girlfriend yet. But you like him. And maybe he likes you too :>
Tumblr media
It was the longest mission of your life. You have never been away for so long. You were so exhausted, but Gaara had sent his sister Temari to take care of you during the mission. In his mind, he would have wanted to accompany you himself, as he did before, when you fell in love with him during the missions together, but now he is too busy in the village. People need him.
Even if Temari was with you, you still managed to get a rather deep wound in the stomach on the abdomen.
"We will be there soon. Gara will be upset about that" Temari says, pointing your wound.
You always get butterflies through your stomach when you hear that he is worried about you. You two started talking more often because of your missions. They have given you time to get to know each other and become friends, because Gaara is different now.
"It's okay, Tem. I know Gaara will understand. Things like this happen"
Temari knew something was happening between you and her brother. But she only liked to notice you two. She liked how you intimidate each time the others talk about him, or when your cheeks become very pink when you are around him.
●●●
Gaara knew exactly the day you would arrive. He was impatient. When Temari opens the gate at the entrance to the village, you feel your cheeks like they are burning. He was there waiting for you. He was not dressed as a Kazekage, which means he took this day off. When you realised that, your feet have almost soaked.
The expression on his face was neutral, as always, but it becomes a frowned one when the guy looks below. He noticed the dry blood on your clothes. He always observes everything, he does not miss any detail.
He exhiles easily and you start to take a few steps towards. When you reach him, he is now much taller over you. You lean your head behind to look him in the eyes, and the redness in your cheeks refuses to disappear.
"At least you're alive" his response is cold, but you know he is happy to have you back. He sends many shinobi on missions, but you are the only one he waits at the gate every time, and that is clear evidence that you are special to him.
You knew that words were not his strong deck, so you wanted to show him how much you were happy to have returned to him. You approach his body and rise to the tops, your arms wrapped around his neck.
"I missed you, Gaara"
Tumblr media
His eyes are growing and look in an empty spot, because you never did this. Not even his siblings did this. He has not felt the heat of a hug for a long time. Gaara blinks a few times and raise his hands easily to respond to your gesture. Swallows dryly, and gather you closer to his chest, hiding his face in your hair. He did hide because he blushed, and didn't want Temari to see it, but she was already smiling. She is happy to see her brother being happy too.
"You're home" he is murmuring with his face still in your hair while his palm climbs and descends on your back.
"You are my home"
When he hears this, his arms are gathering you even harder, wishing to never let you go again.
