Christine Pignet, Axel Vicart, Claire Prévost, Maurice Mons et le jeune Tara Römer dans “La Vie est un Long Fleuve Tranquille” d'Etienne Chatiliez (1988), août 2023.
I first started working on this piece last year and I feel like I'm finally in a place to call it done! I didn't end up drawing some of his items like the staff or bow from the rough sketch, but I also didn't draw a whole bunch of other gear, so lets just call this a more relaxed look 😅.
In addition to a new outfit, he got a neat looking (and quite powerful) robe decorated in blinking eyes as well as a crystal ball, which he could not help but splurge on during a shopping trip. I miss playing as this swampy disaster of a man.
My head looks weird, but trying to see the tree in the background. 😆 The last 2yrs have been Best Christmases in my adult life! 🥂 ...and will keep getting better! So thankful for the people in my life! 🙏

Hope everyone had an amazing Christmas and looking fwd to New Years! Remember to set REALISTIC SMART GOALS - not goals that will have you giving up from the pressure after a month. 💪
Here are a few of my New Years Goals:
I will not be eating more or less.
I will not be drinking anything different - except less coffee, but that's an ongoing addiction and struggle - no deadline for that lol.
I will not be expecting any big life changes outside of my own control.
I will not be working out more or less.
I will not be cleaning more or less.
I will not be taking care of my health more or less...unless something unexpected of course. #chdlife
I will not be getting anymore certifications or degrees unless an opportunity presents itself as a result of my never-ending relentless work on myself and future -- but not striving for anymore at this time.
I will not be seeking more or less friendships - but always open to more!
I love everyone, that's my biggest problem in life lol-Always!
WHY am I not striving for anything "new" this year outside of my continued dreams with my career & Mama life?
Because my personal daily life is a CONSTANT FLUCTUATION of all of the above and I learned through my Health, Empowerment, and Trauma Coach schooling, work, and certification programs that I refuse to ever set myself up for failure again because it puts me into a depression and dark place of hating myself, my CHD Life, and takes me away from God and being grateful. SO my New Years Goals are to HAVE NONE. 🥳

For anyone who is Julietian / Romeric and Queer in any way.
I used these simplified Julietian and Romeric flags by @ryanyflags and overlaid them onto the striped Queer flag by pastelmemer on Deviantart. I then played around with the colors and put them into the format of the chevron Queer flag. The rose symbols used are taken from these Julietian / Romeric / Duaric flags and are totally optional.
Made for anon, who only requested Queer Julietian (I just didn't want to leave out Romeric folks who might like the format I came up with!) Free to be used by anyone anywhere.
The cult music from Far Cry 5 was extremely well done in my opinion. Not only do you have a composer version that very accurately represents the vibe of each of the Seeds, but the choir version sounds so full of genuine emotion that you can close your eyes and imagine a gaggle of Peggies holding hands and singing these songs together every day at church.
In the composer versions you can clearly imagine John singing in “Let The Water Wash Away Your Sins” even if it doesn’t sound like the voice actors voice, it captures his mannerisms in the way he holds back a bit when he’s being expressive, until it gets to be too much and he just lets it all out.
You can feel Jacob singing “Build A Castle” because the singer captures his serious and commanding tone, like the persona that hides the deeply troubled man underneath.
You can imagine Joseph singing “Now He’s Our Father” to his followers as he embellishes certain details to make himself look good and the people in these scenarios look evil for going against him. He truly believes that he can do no wrong because he’s been chosen by God.
You can take in the walk in the bliss with Faith as she sings “Help Me Faith” and tells you her sob story to make you think she’s totally not being manipulated by Joseph
I don’t know if all the people involved in developing the soundtrack played the game, but they captured the characters essence so masterfully it’s wonderful. It doesn’t have to be the characters voice actor singing, you can tell by the way they emote through the performers vocals.

julinonbic: being julietian in a nonbinary and/or nlm way
romenonbic: being romeric in a nonbinary and/or nlw way
[pt: julinonbic: being julietian in a nonbinary and/or nlm way
romenonbic: being romeric in a nonbinary and/or nlw way. end pt]
anon asked for the julietian term and i figured i'd coin a romeric version! the top three stripes are adjusted from the julietian and romeric flags respectively and the bottom three are adjusted from the nonbinary flag and the toric/nlm and trixic/nlw flags respectively. the terms are 'juli' from 'julietian'/'rome' from 'romeric', 'nonbi' from 'nonbinary', + 'ic'!
