I took earth science two years ago and blacked out most of the rock identification unit (I LOVE ROCKS but I hate hate rock identification theres so many rules my brain cant handle it) but id probably say yes to igneous, id take a wild guess at something granite-y, its def felsic and pretty course grained in places, and not fucked up enough to be sedimentary or metamorphic

APH America "Ethnography" and Headcanons (SFW)

The United States of America, Alfred F. Jones, Mr. Stars and Stripes, 'Merica, Pretty Boy, um... or just simply America.

Here is a list of data I have gathered from this country and oh boy, what an interesting specimen we have here....

America has a deep love for cars and trucks, he can be seen working on his vintage 1968 Dodge Charger R/T called 'Thunderbird' (an absolute speed demon that can reach at top speeds of muthafuckin' 156 mph), and his enormous 2019 Ford F-150 'Big John' that he loves to drive to world meetings because he is a total stud muffin showoff.

Oh yeah, he defiantly modded 'Big John' horns with airblasters. So when he parks his car and he sees other nations come out of their vehicles, he pounds on that horn and scares the living shit out of them.

He totally does 2 am donuts in the Thunderbird the front of Walmart parking lots with his brother Canada to freak him out.

Other than seeing him work on his cars while listening to "Waking Up in Vegas by Katy Perry" on the radio, he's in his room sorting out his action figure and comic book collection.

Damn, what what a geek.

He has an eBay account where he buys, trades and auctions his collection as his interests constantly change.

Other than Equestria's Current state of politics, are there any differences in other countries or groups such as the dragon lands, griffonstone, the kirins, ect?

Well!

The dragon lands are no longer a barren wasteland of lava and rocks, they're an actual City civilization for dragons! They have their own castle and such. Naturally, all the buildings are made of stone and glass, some obsidian, but it looks pretty modern and is on par with Equestrian society.

Griffonstone was restored to its former prosperous city-state, and They are ruled by a kind griffon queen. (She's actually one of Fluttershy and Discord's children, but she was born as a griffon) She and Crystal Cord have diplomatic relations and sometimes have sister bonding days.

Kirin society is still mostly isolated, they like to keep to themselves. Some Kirins moved out to Equestria after being found again by Kodiak. (His wife Kira took a liking to him when he visited her village, followed him home, and hasn't left his side since) But their society is just as modern as Equestria is because they have open trade back and forth. Kira is actually Equestria's main Kirin diplomat and cultural expert. 🍫

Friday Night Funkin: Hate it or love it, you can’t deny there are some amazing individuals out there! And for you modders out there, this game is actually heavily moddable- and one mod in particular was what caused FNF to blow up in the first place! This is actually the fandom I’m hyper fixating on right now-

Undertale: Ah yes, the funny skeleton man fandom /j /lh But seriously, this fandom isn’t all “Sans Fangirls”- just search up animations and artwork! Or, better yet- search up a full play through of the game (I recommend this order for newcomers- Neutral, Pacifist, Genocide) and let the story and gameplay do the talking! ^^

Hi my little dove, This was my first The Black Phone Request and I love it sm! I really had fun making this and I hope to get more request like this!

Robin, Finney, And Y/n have been together for about a month now. But it was in the first week that Robin really started to notice some child like behavior from Finney and Y/n. He honestly thought is was cute but he still wanted to understand why they were acting like this. He did do some reaserch about it and alot of things were seen one that stood out like a sore thumb. It was age regression.

So with that info he continued to dig deeper and tried to figure out things that he could do to help them! So during 5th mod in math class robin wasn't paying attention to anything around him but the fact that Finney and Y/n looked as if they were on the verge of tears. "Aww with this fag?" Moose nodded his head and his friends pushed him on the ground. That broke the dam and finney started crying. "L-Lweave h-him alone!" I said trying to get mooses hands off of me, But that only tightend his grip on my wrist which caused me to start crying because it hurt. I tried pulling away but his hands slowly made his way to my princess parts so I screamed loud.

Really loud.

Which caused a large number of people to come which only made moose slap me and he told me to shut up. He held my chin to look up at finney then he said in my ear "Your. Mine. And this faggot here and the fucking hispanic are nothing to you." (I'm so sorry) Then he nodded his head and I screamed "NO!" Before they started kicking finney.

Over.

And.

Over.

Until gwenny and robin came running around the corner moose couldn't see him because of the angle we where in, I looked at Robin with tears running down my face but my vison was quickly moved to the ground beacause, Moose pushed me there but before he could do anything else his face was met with a rock. I looked at the person who hit him and It was gwenny. I looked at her and started crying.

She gently helped me get up and shushed me as she went to take care of one of the other boys before checking on finney saying bye to me and going home. While Robin was beating the absolute shit out of Moose and his other friends. Finney was slouched over against the gate meaning tht he was passed out from crying, pain, and screaming. I crawld over to him and sat on his lap shaking him "Fwinny.." "Fwinny wakie" At this point I was fully regressed and sobbing.

I got picked up by someone and that someone was vance. When did he get here? you thought. But you quicly wrapped your arms around his neck and your legs around his waist and put your face in his neck. "Shh sh no crying uncle vance is here bub" He said patting your bum and rocking you. Vance is you finney's and Robins best friend and he already knew about you and finneys age regression he told you that he could help you and finney tell robin just incase something happend like now but you and fin were too scared that robin would leave you both so he was gonna wait until you were both comfy.

But he had to tell him today.

Because then he would understand why you and finney were acting like this. When you looked around you seen finney passed out in Bruces arms. He must had bween wit vwance! You thought. Robin was so confused on why you and Fin were acting like this. So he grabbed vances arm and pulled him to the side. "Look man I know you know what going on so tell me. Why is fin and n/n (Nickname) Acting like this?" He said and vance sighed.

He had a long pause before he started speaking telling him everything while rubbing your back because you were gripping onto his vest crying. By the time he was finished he smiled because he was right! "Yes! I was right!" He said and vance chuckeld. He turned around so that his backwas facing Robin so Robin could see your face "Hi little one!" Robin said gently brushing vances hair out of your face because you were hiding behind it. You let out a soft shy "H-Hi" Which made Robin smile warmly at you.

Vance asked you in your ear "What did moose do to you little one?" He asked because he heard your scream. You paused then said "He touched my princess parts." You said whimpering. Which caused Robin and Vance to look at eachother with a hatred angry look. "Okay bubba i'm going to give you to uncle bruce so you can go to robins house. Okay? Me and daddy will be there in a sec." He said walking over to bruce whispering something in his ear that changed Bruces facial expression to.

Angry Then soft. Vance set you on the ground giving you a small peck on the forhead and a highfive then he ruffled finneys hair and did the same who was now awake but still in Bruces arms because he was hurt. He waved bye then walked over to Robin who was standing infront of Moose with a phsyco look witch made you whimper but before you could see anything else Bruce started walking to Robins house once you were around the corner from the fight you heard a.

"What are you gonna do about it fag-"

from Moose Before hearing Moose scream in pain and hearing cheering and the names of Robin and Vance being chanted from the crowd. You just smiled to yourself and once you got to Robins house Bruce helped you and Fin change your clothes into some of Robin's. (As a thicker girl I can't fit Robins stuff so I'm just going to say for the sake of our thick/chubby queens that robin buys stuff in your size for us and makes it smell like him <3333) and after that he helped Finney with his brusies and wounds before laying him down on Robins bed with me and we all cuddled under eachother making sure to be careful of the fact that Fin is hurt.

By the time Robin and Vance came back it was around 7pm and we got home at 5. "Daddie! uncle vawnce!" They Smiled and hugged me the finney. After everyone got settled in pjs because Vance and Bruce decided to spin the night, Me and finney were whispering and Giggling in eachothers ears. "What are you two little bunnys whispering about?" Robin asked Then me and finney both looked at eachother gasped covering our mouths and giggling.

"Is dat our daddy now's?" Finney asked and I nodded "Mhm! Dat's our daddy now's!" I said before both me and finney were gently tackled on the bed and kisses being placed all over out faces while we were giggling. It was Robin. Being a good daddy. And Vance and Bruce just smiled leaning on eachother while watching the movie that was on and the bottom of the bed.

You and Finney started to get sleepy and yawn so Robin had an Idea to do skin to skin which he thought would help you sleep. So he gently layed you on his right and finney on his left taking off both of your shirts and simply laying you both down on his chest. You and finney held hands as you both started going to sleep You all said your goodnights beofre vance and bruce got next to you (It's a king sized bed) them cuddling eachother and going to bed.

The next morning at school you heard that Moose and his friends were in the hospitial. You wonderd how that happen as You, Finney, Robin, Burce and Vance passed notes around 2 mod.

They/Them," only gives so much, after all, and I mean, one of those things is a line from a movie probably a lot of you haven't seen because you're too young, and it doesn't have Taylor Swift in it.

If you've looked at my Tumblr, you know I'm a HUGE Marvel/MCU nerd. There are characters I hate (I have tags especially for you folks who love those characters so that you can filter out my rare venting about those characters posts), there are characters I like, there are characters I love, and then there are characters that I'd potentially open up a metaphorical vein for them. We all have those. We're nerds. We're on Tumblr, ffs.

I love tea. Yes I love coffee, too, but because of an rp character my name and personality has sort of become enmeshed with even just the notion of tea and all manner of tea paraphernalia. Teapots, tea cups, tea service, tea sets, tea, tea, tea, tea... *cue Monty Python singing the Spam song but it's tea*

I love photography. I'm a hobby photographer, and once I'm the hell out of Texas, I'll feel inspired to jump back into my photo game again.

I love cooking. What started out of spite because of my ex and a mutual friend telling me I'd starve to death without the ex to cook for me has turned into a creative outlet and passion. I know I cook more than my ex ever did, and with the exception of my picky, pissy SIL, most people love my cooking. So yay me.

I love animals, the beach (obviously - it's the place I most want to be), flowers, lots of different fandoms aside from Marvel (Hannibal, The Following, horror movies, Stephen King, period movies, literature, Shakespeare, Stranger Things, Peaky Blinders, Boardwalk Empire, ALL of the things that Mike Flanagan directs, BBC Sherlock, RDJ's Sherlock movies - the list is really kind of long, so I won't try to put everything down). I love pretty much all types of music (save Christian rock and quite a lot of pop singers, esp one particular one whose name I've had to filter out because so many of y'all love her).

I write fanfiction. I'm not a popular writer, but I'm damned good at what I do. For those who don't know, I'm Wolfsheart on AO3. I'm a huge sucker for kudos and comments. LOVE the comments, especially the positive ones. Hateful ones, not so much. I delete, block, and report people who send hateful shit. If you leave hateful shit without signing in, I'll report you as spam since AO3 hasn't provided a way to block and report 'guests'.

his performance in the S1E1 episode is the first time in a long time he’s written any music; he always claims he’s too busy to work on that sort of thing, but it may just be that he’s shy about sharing it.

He’s met many of the other musical guests, but not all of them remember meeting Him. he doesn’t call a lot of attention to himself and easily blends in among groups or any sort of ongoing panic.

He can be a Bit of a ham sometimes, when he feels comfortable, but compared to God and the Devil he seems very plain. we can’t all be Super Charismatic 😔

His job is to remove the souls of the dead and send them along to their next destination. As such he’s very punctual and focused, and Very well-traveled. GeoGuessr pro

He has a dumb little Blackberry-looking phone that keeps track of all his appointments and lets him text or call whoever he needs. it’s Old

he can play guitar and piano, and knows a lot of covers! he mostly prefers hard/prog rock and classic metal, but has been getting more into indie lately as well.

he visits the Wondrium Arena Purgatory every now and then to hang out with the bye bye brothers and scabs & pus, who treat him like their boss. This is one of my favorite things to think about. They genuinely think he’s the coolest Ever. Their little club hangs out in the orchestra pit and plays cards. the Boys™️

A regular bunnyman given intelligence from a fallen rock! He isn't the type to fight and more of a watcher, speaking of watcher... A shadow has been following him in the corner of his eye.

White:

Something crawled its way out of the earth, it took a form not similar to its kin and went exploring. It eventually came across Waltz and felt strange, it wanted Waltz and so it would follow the bunnyman everywhere until the end. It is aggressive to the adults but neutral to the younger members of the camp.

Waylon:

A hyper nerd who wants to please those they look up to, they tend to be by themself when deep in work and get overly aggressive if something doesn't go their way. Waylon is a young adult inspired by Wagstaff's inventions and wanted to strive to be just like him and walked the gadget road.

Mary:

This young woman from the Carter family is a laid back roommate of Waylon. There might be a darker side to her that she's not willing to show.

Greetings, everyone. Or, well, hello. I should really stop using shitty nerd lingo, huh?

I had few hours long call with Mikey and Mod Leonardo, and first and foremost, the one thing I want to say is that I'm sorry.

I know, I know.

"He's probably just doing this to save his ass or get attention!"

And you have every right to think that way. The manner in which I've been acting ever since I opened this blog is unacceptable. In the process of looking for validation for my shitty takes and feelings, I hurt one of the people I care about the most, and to make matters worse, I put Mikey in danger by bringing on a dangerous individual so that I could have an "edgy" and "controversial" Tumblr blog.

I've since removed Mod Leonardo and apologized to Mod Mikey. She forgave me, but I don't deserve it. I've caused her so much stress over these past few weeks and I wish I'd seen the light sooner.

Regarding the first (lesser) Mod Leo, it's true that we were best friends for five years. We met in the seventh grade and we are now juniors in high school. We live in a pretty bad town when it comes to *any* kind of diversity, and I was raised to believe that being gay or "different" was a sin, and that I would go to Hell just for watching cartoons or playing pretend. When Leo came out as gay, I panicked, and I tried to push him out of my life when he needed me the most. He did nothing wrong, and I hurt him, and that is something that I can never take back or make alright. So, Leo, I'm sincerely sorry once again.

I thought I was homophobic because that's what I've been taught to believe. The truth is, I'm only uncomfortable with homosexuality because I thought I was, which I'm now seeing doesn't make sense when I surround myself with people from the LGBTQ+ community. I believe it's true that I have been overcompensating. 

I feel an attraction towards masculine presenting people.

I think I always have, and I think my parents knew too, because they sent me to Hoosier Youth Challenge Academy last year with (greater) Mod Leonardo. That’s the camp where we met and became friends. For the record, we’re not friends anymore, as their aggressive behavior towards Mod Mikey on call was completely unforgivable. Hoosier wasn’t a bad camp at all, it was great, but my parents made it clear that I was to come home compliant or not at all.

I was scared, and because of that, I tried to make myself seem as anti-queer as possible.

I now understand that my actions have caused harm not only to my friends, but to those who had to witness my childish behavior. For that, I apologize. I’m sorry for making you all witness this and I’m sorry for causing such a disturbance in the Rise fandom. I truly love this show with all my heart and it was wrong of me to taint its legacy.

I’m going to try to work on myself. I’m also bringing Leo back on the blog, because it was stupid and hypocritical of me to kick him off in the first place. He’s really been my rock through all of this and I couldn’t ask for a better friend.

An Introduction

Hi there!

Welcome to the Obsidian Files, glad to have you here.

First question to get out of the way: What exactly is the Obsidian Files?

Well, at it's surface level, this is something of a college remix project. Based off two essays I have written for a course, I have decided to take the topics of those two essays and mesh them into an alternative format. Tumblr just so happens to be the place I can navigate the best (baring Twitter).

Upon a deeper examination, I want this blog to serve as a place for Black people to talk about their experiences in consuming media that "isn't for them". Or in other words, I want them to talk about consuming and engaging with media that we are seldom represented in, or at the very least, seldom represented "well". I don't think I'd be wrong in saying that most of us have some kind of experience with this notion. And it can and has been frustrating as all hell.

Between the recent debates about Ariel being Black, the Lord of the Rings TV series mess, just about anything to do with non-western media, it's difficult being Black and trying to engage with these kinds of media in peace. And it can wear down on us. I want this blog, to the best of my ability, to be a place where you all can unload that weight and talk about how you continue to consume the things you genuinely enjoy, and maybe, help others do the same. And the event that you simply were not able to comfortably enjoy a piece of media, talk about why and what led to that uncomfort.

That's basically my goal here.

Now to introduce the "mod" aka me.

Name's Maur, I'm Black (if that needed to be mentioned), my are pronouns she/her, I'm 20 years old, and I enjoy anything sci-fi and fantasy. My music taste is quite literally anything that I can daydream to: Rock, Electronic, R&B Soul, J-Pop, J-Rock, the list goes on. Anime and Manga are a part of the media I consume, along with various books that deal in horror, speculative, sci-fi and fantasy (once again) and the occassional realistic ficiton. I've been in love with this kind of stuff for most of my life.

To kind of start off this project, to the Black nerds who sees this, try and introduce yourself, you're favorite types of media you like, and what you like about them. Or send it to the ask box, it's open for use.

I really hope this project goes somewhere, and if it doesn't, well...I can at least say I tried.

I haven't been on or anywhere NEAR this website since before The Great Purge. I hardly knew how to navigate it even then, so hopes aren't terribly high for this iteration, HOWEVER. I do intend to stay well away from toxicity and drama and 'outrage clickbait' stuff. I will never get into politics, current events, PC crap; if I have it my way, this will be someplace I nerd out about my favorite things and or my artwork.

My life lately has been hectic and stressful enough, I just want someplace to blog and share things and relax with like-minded people. <3 All that being said...

I also: Write original stuff and occasionally fan-fiction, I RP (mostly via Discord), I'm a bit of a spelling and grammar stickler and I'll write text walls if you let me.
