More Pokémon Horizons Episode 25 spoilers under the cut!

As much as I laughed from how this played out like an unintentionally comedic moment---can I mention how much this actually does to separate Amethio from the rest of the Explorers; how he's actually honorable and respects Friede as a rival of sorts?

The rest of the Explorers tend to use underhanded tricks to get what they want (Spinel brainwashing Liko and attempting to wipe her memory, Onyx and Sango trying to overwhelm the others against direct orders whilst causing the destruction of everything else around them), but Amethio has been unique in how he's regarded as 'by the books' (by Friede) and constantly tries to be on equal footing with his opponent- even if it means putting himself at the disadvantage when he has more resources to utilize.

He could've very easily overwhelmed Friede by having both of his mons attack at once (given how Captain Pikachu hadn't arrived yet)---and yet he- doesn't. Which is just so interesting to me as he's meant to have a similar goal as the rest of the Explorers (which is to retrieve the pendant/Terapagos by any means necessary).

So in this case, was it really a matter of defeating Friede so that he could easily confront Liko afterwards,,, or,,,,, was he trying to prove himself somehow? 👀✨✨✨

“You tricked me into saying that.” Willie’s face grows hot. Alex hums, feigning innocence. “I’m not sure what you mean.”

“You know what I mean.”

“I’m a bit hazy on the subject. Would you mind just refreshing my memory?

“You tricked me into saying that I–” Willie stops himself. “Fuck off.”

“I wish you would,” Alex sighs wistfully, earning him a threatening look from Willie. “In any case, Willie, you can’t exactly blame me for the things that come out of your mouth.”

“What–?” Willie huffs. “You distracted me!”

“Oh yeah?”

“You provoked me!”

“You let yourself be distracted and provoked,” Alex replies easily, not even looking Willie in the eye. Willie lets out a frustrated yell, and Alex bursts out laughing.

“You’re seriously laughing at me right now? You piece of shit! You motherfucking–”

“Wow, you changed your tune fast! You were soooo romantic before. What happened?”

Willie strides right into Alex’s space and grabs the front of his stupid shirt. “You better shut the fuck up, Alexander,” he warns.

Alex flashes him a cheeky grin. “Or what?”

Willie’s eyes automatically flick down to where Alex’s tongue slides over his lips. Willie’s grip tightens on Alex’s shirt. Alex hums in that infuriating way he usually does.

“Another one of your empty threats, then?”

“I said, shut the fuck up.”

Alex’s lips sharpen into a smirk. “Make me.”

awww thank you for including me. this has just been sitting in my box for the past couple of days but HERE I AM- in no particular order:

This doesn't really have a name... It's just called Merman AU

and it's not a 'fanfic' it's half a collection of headcannons for this AU and half snippets from this idea that I posted on tumblr at @haikyuu-aus-cuz-i-cant-write (oops look who has actually written now jfdksalf) basically this is a cross between the little mermaid and the monkey's paw. I really liked this but it was wayyy too big of an idea for me to write and you can see that I stopped after writing Suga's wish which is reallly funny considering this whole idea spawned from wanting a mermaid/human bokuaka AU and i was not near to getting to the meat of the story at all

yes i just recently posted this, yes i've had this in my folders for like 3 years. this one... this was spawned from an old friend - who i don't speak with anymore - offhand comment that a fanart looked like akashi was an android. four hours after they said that i had half of this fic, and they said it was the best writing i ever shared with them. they encouraged me to expand it but i kept hitting a wall and then we had a falling out and through out the years ive been coming back to this trying to add and edit and i decided to reclaim it as my own and publish it. the idea is that it's an introduction to a lighthearted sitcom/romcom between decommissioned war android akashi and engineer who fixed him up furihata

i cyclically get star trek brainrot and this time it had a dash of akafuri, i really like how i described things in this one since furihata doesn't think in words but emotions and images instead, idk it was a good writing exercise

Horror wip

ive been hemming and hawing at it for literal months now because i have one central driving image behind my eyelids that i want to get to. its just been... harder than usual to get to it. i've rewritten like 3 times trying to get it write. i've currently landed on 2nd person narration with some thrown in spices of 1st person to signify that we are in the being- akashi's- point of view haunting furihata (the you) and its giving me an opportunity to make the reader feel akashi's destroying love from the front seat. my other goal with this is to write some surrealistic imagery soooo yeP

i cant not include this. this damn fic/series/idea has been brewing in the back of my mind for so damn long if it was a human child it could hold a fucking conversation. the imagery. the themes. the depth of emotion- AND WE ARE BARELY GETTING INTO THE WAR!? So for starters, my husband, who’s been playing lots of Elden Ring recently, comes to me one day and goes, “Hey. So I might’ve found a possible husbando candidate for you.”

And this isn’t new, but it’s rare. So COURSE I had to hear him out. He showed me a lore breakdown video about sweet, sweet Diallos here, and OUGH. HE GOT MY HEART SO FAST.

(I’m gonna put a little ‘read more’ for spoiler-y stuff, just to be safe!)

Okay so like. Look at him. Look at THIS SAD, HANDSOME NOBLE. 🥺❤️

Like when you first meet him, you don’t realize completely that he’s of noble blood— not really. He just asks you to keep an eye out for his friend and servant, a girl named Lanya, and that’s it. And when you see him again, he’s mourning her after she gets merked by an infamous group in the game.

I won’t go into the story too-too much here, but… you see Diallos go through so, so much from the sidelines. And you find out he’s just so… lost. He’s trying to do right by avenging Lanya, right by his brother and following in his footsteps, right by the family that withdrew from him and the group that took him in. But not doing right by himself. He just has a lot in his heart and so much going on in his mind, and seeing him getting caught up in the grief of it all while searching for honor is just… heartbreaking. He’s got this desire to be good, to be strong, but he’s got a delicate heart. He’s gentle and meticulous but not in the way that’s expected of him. He’s not meant to mow down people mercilessly, regardless of what people tell him.

He eventually gets to find himself in a place where he feels at peace, taking care of a village of gentle, peaceful living jars. They accept him and his gentler ways. He finds a home and a peaceful life with them and I just— 🥺🥺🥺 He’s a good guy! A gentle guy!!

I love him. I would protect this man with my life if I could. I want to keep him safe, to see him living out the peaceful life he wants so, so dearly. I want to just… cup his face so gently and tell him he’ll be okay, to treat him so delicately and let him know how important it is that he’s alive. 😭❤️

thinking about the team having a bonfire on the beach, someone producing a guitar, and of course rooster starts strumming around and singing.

after a few songs there's a pause, the cracking of the flames, the soft crashing of the waves and easy chatter the only sounds until a very well-known set of chords gently breaks the quiet.

rooster starts playing an acoustic version of november rain, his intent eyes capturing hangman's across from him and holding them the whole time, not looking away once.

a silence, almost reverent, falls across the group of pilots, and hangman is suddenly afraid that his thundering heartbeat is for everyone to hear.
