number #1 tactic that people use to not sound as racist as they are when they talk to black people: 'uhh so you AMERICANS need to stop pretending everything is about YOU. why should i know this im not from the us :/' (= is talking about like. a phenomenally internationally well-known black artist)
So I was listening to some French songs this morning in the shower, which happened to be rap songs. Or rap-adjacent songs/songs by rappers, at least x)
Anyway, I'm not here to show off, I'm just here to share some rap/rap-adjacent music I enjoy which is also in French, in case anyone is curious.
French Kiss - Black M
(I remembered this song, listened to it, the youtube algorithm did the rest).

Sur ma route - Black M

Tu vas me manquer - Maître Gims

Dommage - Bigflo et Oli

Marly Gomont - Kamini
(This one is goofier than the others but also my entire family listened to this on repeat when it came out because it is a Very Accurate account of life in deep rural France. Literally I can tick every item he lists from his place in Normandy to the under-300 people village I grew up in on the other side of the country. I don't think I'll ever not be fond of this song xD)
