This was a practice I had used a long time ago, probably 7 years ago at this point. When walking around a local thrift store, my ex and I had found a jar full of little blue & yellow slips of paper that had inspiring thoughts or quotes written on them. After filtering through them to remove the scripture verses or particularly religious-inclined slips (and giving them to my LDS grandmother in a…
hey wait i just had a thought. what would Data's handwriting look like. do you think whenever he has to handwrite he just perfectly prints New Times Roman in size 14 onto the paper in three seconds or something. wait imagine if he wrote in Comic Sans
Binah likes those star-shaped hard candies. not because they taste particularly good- they're mostly sugar, anyways- but because you always seem so delighted when you give one to her. your voice singing "Binah, look! It's a little star!" is enough for her to face any day, no matter how deep the well and how loud the voices.
bruce wayne does origami "for a case" then proceeded to gift paper rings, paper cranes, and multiple paper flowers to everyone in the family. he also made multiple jar of stars alfred keeps as decor around the manor. send tweet.
i don’t think i’ve posted this here to tumblr yet!
when i talk about my stars - dropping them on stream, making them after stream, focusing on their number - this is the jar i’m talking about!
it’s like my little stream check in - i have it set so that after stream i can go through and make a start for everyone who redeemed it. the “core” of the star gets the person who redeemed its username written down, and each stream i do a different color to keep track!
we’ve been doing these stars for a while now, and have filled a couple smaller ones. but this jar here has 208 stars. i’ve been working on this jar since my two year anniversary in the middle of october. it’s a fun, visual reminder for me of those that take a moment from their day to come by. and it’s really special to me. because all of the stars that were made here were because of people who believe in me.
what r ur thoughts on the idea that moon makes those little paper origami stars during naptime and then hides them and if they find them all the get a surprise
just a silly little idea bc i like making those little origami stars
This went from “maybe I’ll make a star jar for my gf for Christmas” to “I’m going to fill this entire box with stars made of this paper I impulse bought” in… what, 10 minutes?
I mean, to be fair, that’s a record for longest time for me
