I was captivated by the idea that Spot was originally Tasha's cat (because we know she had an orange cat in the past, and we don't know where Spot came from so it's a logical conclusion), so I drew this. But I put Tasha in the newer uniform to imply that she doesn't die because canon is what I make of it and in MY mind Data, Tasha, and Spot get to live long lives full of joy and whimsy.
So, I drew Geordi, only felt right to also draw Data. i feel like everyone needs to draw him with his maintenance panel exposed at least once.
I tried like 20 things here and I'm also massively art blocked so it doesn't really work but I wanted to get this done and there are aspects I like :>
The sketch was a lot more fluid, I'm sad I couldn't carry it over to colour, so I included the sketch as well.
Rewatching TNG and seeing Lore suddenly become genuinely concerned about Noonien's declining health was genuinely heartbreaking. I cannot get over how well Brent Spiner plays this whole family. Going from this devious person who claims he hates his father to suddenly worried about him, but still keeping the same characterisations? Increadible! Whilst also playing the passive Data and the aging and remorseful Noonien in the same scene!? Cannot get enough Soong family content.

When I get a patient who has a condition I'm not familiar with, I'm eager to find time to research it further. Too many doctors in your era deny, blame, or otherwise chastise patients instead when they're embarrassed by their own lack of knowledge. Appalling. emojis: black heart, blue heart, masked, spoon

I love it when characters walls come down and given Picard’s utter lack of charisma so far it was high time for a scene like this. I love how seeing his mother just completely disarmed him but unlike even Kirk in shore leave, Picard doesn’t forget his surroundings, the mission, or his goal. In fact the opposite occurred. He thought his mother was there to specifically help him out of this. The range and mix of emotions on display is great. And his response to Riker’s offer for help being first a soft “no,” before repeating but with a harder “No.” as he snaps back into business mode was great. A+ acting Patrick Stewart.
I know the Picard tv series is gonna recontextualize this but for now it’s enough.
I remember watching this with my dad when I still couldn't read. Fond memories! A little context for the last pic, my grandpa used to do this before we crossed the street. I just thought it'd be cute lol
