On independence day, my father says to us: "Nations disappear when their people don't care for them". The same applies to daughers... for whom you do not care for, or care for in a way that you call "protection" but only feels like suffocation. Nations dissappear when people do not care about them, and who cared about the daughter of an immigrant father who had to uphold his honor by walking on eggshells? Who cared about the 12 year old that was shunned for not wearing a dupatta while boys older than her celebrated independence day on the street? Nations dissappear when people do not care about them, but who cares about the girls that just wanted a hug from their parents? Who cares about the over-achieving student, the one that leaves her work to cook, the one who becomes the marriage counselor for her own mother? And when you sing "Is Parcham Kay Saye Talay, Hum Ek Hain" are we excluded? Are our opportunities, our dreams, our desire to be treated like humans not a part of it? When do the daughters of our nations gain freedom? When is their independence day?

I'm not mourning the queen AT ALL. She directly benefited from the colonization of Yemen, India, Ireland, Rwanda, Uganda, the Maori, Scotland, Pakistan, the Indigenous of Australia and North and South America etc. A lot of you are real fucking quiet about how they were treated. Her and the rest of the monarchy weren't just some "pop icon" their actions had consequences and the world lives through it. Call me disrespectful all you want, the rest of the royalty can cry with all the money and artifacts they stole.

Rogan is an technique of cloth printing practiced in the Gujarat, Peshawar and Sindh regions of India and Pakistan. The word rogan has roots in both Persian and Sanskrit, meaning oil. In this craft, paint is made from boiled castor oil or linseed oil and vegetable dyes is laid down on fabric using a stylus.
The process of applying this oil based paint to fabric was developed among the Khatri community in Gujarat and the techniques of preparing and applying dyes was passed down in the family. As rogan printed cloth tended to be less expensive than other heavily embroidered garments but could still produce the illusion of embroidery, it was the wedding garment of choice for women from poorer families. The craft nearly died out in the late 20th century with the availability of cheaper and machine-made textiles. However, it is currently being revived mostly due to the efforts of the artist Abdulgafur Khatri and his family, who work tirelessly to spread awareness about Rogan art and teach it to young people, mostly young women from poor families in order to empower them by providing a means of livelihood as well as keeping the art of rogan alive.

A map that shows how even a small, limited nuclear war between India and Pakistan would release enough particles into the atmosphere to trigger a small nuclear winter that would be felt worldwide.

Zionists spread propaganda that all Islamists from countries dress like this:

Say you're Islamophobic without saying you're Islamophobic
Tumblr media
Look what propaganda I saw from Zionists
They seriously believe it, I live in fucking Poland and I see that this shit has nothing to do with reality, yes, there are people who dress like this, but spreading the word that every Islamic country dresses like this is like saying that every Jew looks like this:

I don't think I need to tell you how stupid this line of thinking is
