Who cared about the 12 year old that was shunned for not wearing a dupatta while boys older than her celebrated independence day on the street? Nations dissappear when people do not care about them, but who cares about the girls that just wanted a hug from their parents? Who cares about the over-achieving student, the one that leaves her work to cook, the one who becomes the marriage counselor for her own mother? And when you sing "Is Parcham Kay Saye Talay, Hum Ek Hain" are we excluded? Are our opportunities, our dreams, our desire to be treated like humans not a part of it? When do the daughters of our nations gain freedom? When is their independence day?

Central Railways (CR) will extend the periodicity of special trains running between Mumbai and Balharshah, Maharashtra to clear the extra rush of passengers as under:   01127 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT)- Balharshah special is now extended to run on 2.8.2022 and 9.8.2022 (2 Trips) 01128 Balharshah - Lokmanya Tilak Terminus special is now extended to run on 3.8.2022 and 10.8.2022 (2 Trips)   There will be no change in timings, composition and halts.   Reservation: Bookings for extended trips of special train No. 01127/01128 on special charges opened on July 27, 2022 at all computerised reservation centres and on website http://www.irctc.co.in. V.K. Tripathi, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Railway Board welcomed the dignitaries. At Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Mumbai, Anant Laxman Gurav Freedom fighter and family of Dayaram Israni were facilitated by Shri Alok Singh, Additional General Manager, Central Railway. Shalabh Goel, Divisional Railway Manager, Mumbai Division and other senior officials from headquarters and divisions were present on the occasion. CSMT, Pune, Satara, Nashik Road stations of Central Railway were among the 75 freedom stations connected through two-way video link. As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, Indian Railways organised week long celebrations of the ‘Azadi Ki Rail Gadi aur Stations’ from 18th July-23rd July. During the event, the importance of 75 identified stations/27 trains in the freedom struggle has been highlighted. All Zones/Divisions through their nominated Stations (all 75 freedom stations) were connected through Virtual Conference on the closing event. The function was livestreamed with two-way communication link. The “Azaadi ki Rail Gaadi aur Stations” concluding event also featured nukkad natak, cultural programme about freedom struggle and deshbhakti songs. A large number of audience were present at all the 75 freedom stations to witness the event.
