as much as im annoyed by the potential implications of the mhj/hybe drama i do feel like theres way too much speculation rn ... rlly doesn't sit so well with me that everyone is bashing on mhj alone (im not supporting her either though) and not bang sihyuk too. some hybe stans rlly js worship the guy and idk why . its not like he's innocent too. like those texts from him are so annoying too. abt if she's satisfied that nwjns is so popular and also abt trying to rival aespa / bp alone ...

hybe has sm power and r known for their mediaplay so i rlly do wish people would keep that in mind instead of doing their own speculation to bash on mhj . we don't know fs if she's the reason behind seunghan, youngseo, etc .... it seems so forced that everyone just collectively is making stuff up on their own theories and pissing on her. like im all for it when everything's done with but it's giving misogyny to me ughhh idk how to explain it eitherr without sounding like a mhj stan I PROMISE IM NOT TAKING HER SIDE T_T i just cant help but feel like poeple find it easier to hate and bash on women sometimes. even me scrolling x nowadays feels so annoying. literally feel so bad for illit and nwjns rn.

personally i was a teeny annoyed that illit had a similar image to nwjns w their nostalgia/coquettecore (also though just seems like cute/youthful concept is making a cb in general in kpop) but only because their songs on super real me were the exact type of songs i liked most from nwjns (super shy, hurt etc. the softer less peppy songs compared to hybe boy) so it bothered me that there was an implication that nwjns might be forced to distance itself to a more differing concept to keep some contrast btwn the two ... but ik that's not illit's fault at all (literally love the girls sm im a runext fan ^^) i feel like i can understand the upset that illit was getting a similar concept when every other grp before illit in hybe had more defined concepts seperating each other. but once again that's all hybe's doing ...... seeing the choreographers supporting mhj too makes it seem like not even the nwjns team or even all the staff were on board with the references in the choreo either...

anyways i do hope this controversy doesnt impede on either grps promos :( and i rlly hope everything gets sorted out... im srsly hoping this doesnt turn into a 5050 situtation again but with nwjns i was so upset when that happened . was curious on what your thoughts were or if u were keeping up with everything?

i feel like i've seen a good amount of people bashing them both but we could have different tls maybe !! but yeah i don't know why there's so many hybe stans 😭 it's been this way for a long time + armys idolizing bang pd back when bts was the only group under bighit. i feel like everyone needs to just accept that all these companies are trash and you can't be defending ceos

i do get what you mean because women are often criticized far more when those same things would be overlooked if a man did it,, however i don't think that's the case here 😭 because 1. she has an extensive history of s3xualizing minors back from when she was in sm and 2. it was revealed that she and bang pd bought out source music to debut a girl group so it's not that far-fetched to say that she could have sabotaged the trainees from source music, especially after she said that she didn't want to debut sakura because she was "too old." some of the other theories people are making definitely don't have much of a basis but i think most people also recognize that the main victims of all this are newjeans and illit + the other groups mhj dragged in with her. so yeah i wouldn't call it misogyny that people are going after min heejin, and honestly i'm even more surprised that people just forgot about how she sexualized shinee, red velvet, jisung, and newjeans and only started calling her out after this incident 😭 she's always had a LOT of defenders and personally i've never felt the need to defend billionaires :/ also mhj's a businesswoman who knows how to play the media herself. you can see it even in her press conferences; she's bringing up different groups to take attention off of herself and talking about her "relationship" with newjeans to garner sympathy from everyone

i think hybe definitely was shady for greenlighting illit's concept when it's clear there was inspiration from newjeans. i personally just assumed they discussed this with ador but i guess not?? so weird that they don't act like proper adults in that building. i'll also say that i don't think min heejin's concept for newjeans is original or considered "hers" but since most people associate that concept with newjeans, it's safe to say that illit's creative director probably got it from newjeans anyways. another thing about hybe tho is that i don't think they've been doing strong concepts for their groups. txt did have a strong one initially but bighit just stopped trying for them (probs bc their team got moved to source music 🥲) i think belift did a good job with keeping the vampire concept for enha consistent and i was initially scared that it would stop after hybe fully acquired cj enm, but i think they've recognized that enha just has too much connected to their vampire concept (their webtoon, storyline for their music videos) but enha's also been neglected by hybe a lot so screw them 🚶‍♂️

i hope this issue doesn't mess with comebacks either :/ it's like suspiciously right before newjeans' comeback, which throws me off because i feel like there's always some shit min heejin's pulling right before or during their comebacks (ex: inserting herself in the OMG music video at the very end) and it's so weird to me how she always talks about them as if she's the sixth member 😭

Since I'm always following Jimin content, a certain amount of content with the other members is expected. This is a personal thing but I can't stand yoonmin shippers. We have delusional jikookers, soppy vminers, rare jihopers and thirsty minimonis but out of every ship, yoonminers literally drive me crazy. Maybe because every shipper does it to some extent, but yoonminers are the most grossly obvious about how Jimin is just a shipping tool for them and they don't give a damn about him in reality.

Yoonminers s3xualize their relationship a lot for absolutely no reason. Like dude plz stop it's creepy.

When jimin's documentary commentary came, when jimin said that suga was about to rap in set me free pt2, I saw a pjm calling out a yoonminer who was upset and said something like...

"it's okay to take help from jk and namjoon but when it comes to yoongi there's a problem??".

And i was like eww. It's not about yoongi Or your ship. It's about jimin and his music.

And then I went to their account and all I saw was them s3xualizing jimin, and there were so many post about yoongi's solo content. I tried so hard to search but that yoonmin account didn't have a single post about jimin's solo content. Like not a single post.

The only time there was a post about jimin's music was when they had to connect it to yoongi Or make it about their ship. And the rest was them being creepy with their disgusting fantasies.

TLDR; boyfriends webtoon is lame and mid because its kinda icky and the writing sucks

Okay so yall hae heard about the boyfriends webtoon comic, and imma talk about why i personally dislike it

(DISCLAIMER: I MEAN NO HATE TO THIS WEBCOMIC OF ITS FANS, IF YOU LIKE IT , THAT VALID, IF YOU DONT LIKE IT, THATS ALSO VALID)

okay so the first main reason to why i dont like this webcomic is that, its well... icky,, niot exactly cringe (i mean yeah it is a little bit "cringe" but i think it just aged poorly, with it being made in early 2020) , but just, a little gross to me. Like the whole thing where the character nerd acts innocent but is actually a pervert, also the fact that hes 19 with the others are like, 20 and older, idk man just feels kind gross. also the fact that the charater goth keeps getting s3xualized even though hes asexual, with things like suggestive scenes to an actual fucking nsfw comic with him and nerd with, holy shit dude, the creator has stated hes a huge flirt but dosent like the s3x, but like, bro??????thats kinda gross to me to see a asexual character that keeps getting sexualized, and yeah asexual ppl can have the s3x but , it still rubs me the wrong way.

and the second reason i dont like this is because its fucking boring as sin to me. OK , ok , hear me out, webcomic being simply not my cup of tea isnt the only reason i think its mid, i also think the writing could be alot better, let me explain.

So the comic, the very beginning of the comic , it just starts out , literally with prep saying (im gonna be paraphrasing here for comedy but you get the pitcure) "omg im so over being single i want boyfren" and goth being like " haha, im gonna get boyfren befor you with my epic gamer rizz" and the nerd just fucking trips and falls, right infront of them, goth helps him up and they talk and make plans for shit. Now, notice how we get no fucking introduction? i mean, we get character cards for them but i think if you can do basic writing, and a simple, "oh im prep and im goth and we go 2 collage , and prep is singl and pathetic , but incredibly oblivious to goth crushing on him for like fuckn whatever years hes been doing this shit" ,like bro its that fucking simple, without setting up a basic background , we have no clue who these characters are and why we should care about them, we jut know that goth get bitches and prep doesn't(at the beginning of the series).

I also feel like more time should have been spent on the boys individual relationships BEFORE they become a official couple and not after , and to the comics credit, they kind do, but they fail to make me care because , again, no character introductions except for those character cards, witch don't really do much for the reader expect give us there name, age, and majors, witch also could have been told to us, along with more infromation about the character like, basic backstory and scene with a simple character introduction at the beginning.

Another problem within this problem is the characters themselves, you see, my problem is that they're stereotypes, witch, isn't bad, as long as its done well. But the creator doesn't do anything really interesting with them, no subversions of expectations , hell, its hard to even call them true to their original stereotypes, yeah prep is enough like a prep and sure i guess jock is enough like a jock, but goth isnt really even,, goth like, i mean character design wise, (im not a big fan of the gothy character stereotype where their just , edgey and shit) , i mean , if you go on Pinterest and type in "gothic aesthetic" you'd get somthing alot more like fancy suits and dresses and abandoned churches, not my immortal draco malfoy.(im sorry ill never make that joke ever again) . also the fact the nerd isnt even that much of a nerd, where the epic gamer shit, where the dnd handbooks, where the info dumping about your favorite obscure pieces of media? the most nerd shit that hes into is problem k-pop, or animal crossing, which, honestly to me, isnt really nerdy , . fucking hell, i mean jock isnt even a fucking himbo, like THE DUMB JOCK STERYOTYPE IS RIGHT FUCKING THERE THATS SUCH A MISSED OPPERTUNITY. So for me, either go big or go home

haha so yeah, thats why i dont like this webcomic, and my criticisms, if you agree with me, thats fine, if you dont agree with me and just want your silly brainrot pastel gays, thats also fine, i dont realy care if you like the webcomic or not.

But if you wish the boyfriends webcomic did something more interesting and cool with theyre characters and wish for a more "dramatic" story, with cool character designs and interesting and dynamics and also was made by someone who shouldn't really be making romance media and is not qualified to do this because they are aro ace but is really into shipping culture, well i do have an idea for a remake of it with all the things listed above, i might make a askblog for it teehee,

Summary of each tarot reading from YouTube (please take these with a grain of salt):

1. Medium Isabella (July 14, 2023) - Not dating. Does not see that they were not emotionally compatible. There was some sort of attraction at first, but someone (feels that it's Grace) said something/did something to make the other person (Joe) feel that rubbed them the wrong way. Not a genuine friendship, seemed like one person made the other one disappointed. Possibly Grace rejected the possibility of having a relationship probably because she always feels rejected from her past or she wants to be free. Possibly Joe is disappointed but he isn't emotionally affected and he's okay. Grace doesn't want a relationship at the moment because it's too much baggage and she wants to focus on her career.

2. The Vibe is Golden (April 7, 2023) - They have a connection, but they are from different parts of the world and they have their guards up. They have this mutual connection of wanting to help each other in their careers in a nurturing way, but no emotional connection on Grace's part. They spent a lot of time together, probably due to rehearsals and their scenes to feel a connection. Joseph is waiting on a status quo to be broken to have a relationship with her, she has boundaries that is stopping him to pursue. Grace is just okay with flirting at the moment, but she doesn't feeling as strongly as Joe. A lot of people are constantly asking about their relationship which is wearing them down. There is a possible future that they will flirt more and explore where it leads, but Grace does not feel comfortable because of her being s3xualized by the media.

Despite having a connection Joe did something that may have hurt Grace to keep her guard up. If Joe takes action there is a possibility they will get back together, but it's up to them. Reader pulled out a marriage card, a work on your relation card and a card that makes the reader believe that one person does not want to be single.

4. KLD (June 15, 2023) - Not dating, not seeing anything romantic. They do talk often. Someone has a crush on the other person. It is probable that they might hook up or have a fling in the future but nothing long term. (From the comments) They do have a connection with each other of trust and communication. Joe has Grace's back and supports her in her career. Reader believes that Grace maybe the one crushing on Joe. One person is crushing on the other but the other one has commitment issues which will cause problems if they go into a romantic relationship. If they do go into a relationship, reader believes it will just be for pr or it will be very shot term and it will end badly for them. (Pulled more cards after two people were arguing) Grace seems to be the one obsessed with Joe, while he's more about "collecting bodies" (ladies man).

5. Bobo-Nesha (Dec. 7, 2023) - Not dating. They both have self-sabotaging practices. They do hang out but there is a disconnection. They are not compatible as romantic partners; if they do date it will not last long and not end well. They do have a strong attraction towards each other; they do find one another attractive but they know that it's better not to be in a relationship. Grace does crush on Joe, Joe doesn't have a crush on Grace. If they do decide to pursue a relationship, Joe will do it more for PR, clout. He is more level headed.

[ Now I'm not saying it's Clown's fault at all, no, no, It never was to begin with, and still Isn't, and never will be, when Welcome home first caught media attention, clown had announced some rules/boundaries, no NSFW (Not safe for work) art, and no selling merchandise that was Welcome home related or depicted welcome home characters or shown any, and guess what?

People did so anyways, Drawing NSFW art of WH characters doing stuff together, etc, even when told not to, selling stuff like T-shirts with Wally on it (or other WH characters) plushies, and etc, and not to mention the au's, WHAT THE HELL?? Most of them are good, but some are not, for example, (Gr00mer Wally, terrorist Wally, Snuff Wally) Those are so disgusting and outright weird, why in the first place do you even make those?? And don't try and make an excuse how it's "representation" or "exploring" dark topics, It's disgusting either way, why include a silly Friendly puppet/muppet with p3doph1la or g0re displayed in a s3xual manner?? ]

And while yes this is a long rant, Let me say something, People are starting to focus more on the AU'S then the actual lore (Which is fine itself, get creative if you want, Also not saying every AU is like that, I love how creative people can be!), litreally forgetting how Wally acts and is, he isn't some buff man with insane muscles and tall as hell, Litreally a short silly puppet, How could you find a way to be like "OMG i want him to f___ me" or something like that, or want to make babies with him?? He is a puppet, It is a puppet, litreally has no g3ntials, so I don't know How you'd be able to do that, even if it's through donor, It'd look nothing like him, and the baby would probably have some disabilities or be a human, you know? And not to mention, When I was on welcome home Tumblr, I litreally seen so many people nu3e and shown in a s3xual inappropriate manner, what i suggest if you see that, please report and block these people if you see something inappropriate. I was just a kid.

It's sad how people who were abused as a kid now craves sexual validation. I wanna feel genuine love and care but if they don't s3xualize me, I feel like they do not love me.

Let me tell you my story. I was 8 when my mom and dad separated. I decided to live with my dad but then he gave me back to my mom when he finally had a girlfriend. My mom on the other hand already has a live-in partner and he is a cop. I was 12 years old when my nightmares began.

He would always let me hold his p3nis before I can get the money for me and my sibling's breakfast. You see, we had to prepare it by ourselves as our mom sleeps until the afternoon due to the nature of her job. Every morning, I had to endure being harassed just for the sake of my sibling's food. Whenever no one is around, he would always grope me and he will put my hands on his p3nis. When I was 14 , they finally got separated. I thought that my nightmare would finally end but it only got worse.

He continues to provide child support to my youngest brother and he saw it as an opportunity to harass me even more. He would personally request me to my mom to get the money in his house and his alibi is that he needs help with some paperwork. And I don't have any choice but to do it because if I don't, my youngest brother's milk will be delayed. Every week, I go to his house to get the money but he won't give it unless he cum. He lets me jack him off while he is caressing my private parts.

Maybe you are asking, why I did not tell my mom. If you are in my position, you would not do it as well. There's a lot of things that I consider at that time and I think that my brother's food is more important than me. I endured it for 4 years until I decided to leave our house and be on my own.

The nightmare stops. But the wounds are still fresh.

I craved s3xual validation. I'm thirsty being s3xualized. There are times that my nightmares are being relived whenever someone touches me the way that he did and it feels like it's killing me. Still can't help but cry when it happens.

We all know who Aizawa’s and Toshinori’s kids are, so I won’t include them in this post, but the rest of the staff is included! (also I will use both the hero names and real names of the staff) I also couldn’t find anyone for Nezu.

Midnight: OH DEFINITELY YAOYOROZU!! I headcanon that when Nemuri first joined the hero industry, she was very s3xualized solely for being comfortable as a woman. She certainly is a mom figure to every girl in UA but she sees Yaoyorozu as a younger Nemuri.

Present mic: lowkey was a tough one for me, but i think it would be denki kaminari! i can definitely see their energy matching perfectly and if im correct, denki’s best subject is english. i can see them bonding over pop culture too.

Thirteen: I’d say Uraraka! Uraraka mentioned she wanted to be a support hero so she could train under Thirteen as both of their quirks could be on a destructive level if not controlled correctly. Their personalites also match.

Ectoplasm: JIROU!! THIS IS MY FAVORITE HEADCANON IN THE WORLD OKAY. ITS CANON THAT ECTOPLASM LOVES KARAOKE AND HAS KARAOKE NIGHTS SO IMAGINE THEM BONDING OVER BANDS THEY LOVE AND MUSIC IN GENERAL. goth dad and goth daughter. perfect.

Powerloader: is this even a question? HATSUME! the fact that whenever PL is on screen it’s either with a cup of coffee or with Hatsume explains what we need to know about these two. tired dad energetic daughter.

Snipe: Hagakure! This was kind of a tricky one but after the final exams I like to think their bond kind of got stronger. Snipe just seems like the type of teacher to be a pushover for his female students and with Hagakure being so kind and bubbly -also seeing Mineta as a lowkey threat to her- he just kinda watches over her. Okay just imagine: Hagakure walking in the hallways alone and then Mineta comes, remarks something about her quirk or something. SNIPE WILL APPEAR OUT OF THIN AIR IF IT MEANS HAGAKURE IS SAFE.

Cementoss: Bondo!! I haven’t watched season 5 so im not sure about his personality but he seems the chill type aka the type that can get along with Cementoss. their quirks are also kinda similar in a way so i bet Cementoss would be a great teacher for him to work with.

Lunch Rush: Originally i was going to assign him Yaoyorozu but i think midnight and her go together better. So I thought about Sato! I bet Lunch Rush can teach him some recipes that are small in size but contain a lot of sugar and some classic dishes for the dorms! Sato may or may not be his personal taster from now on but you didnt hear that from me-

Hound Dog: Shishida! Not only are their quirks are similar in physical levels I like to think it also has the same mental effects. I headcanon (not even sure if this is a headcanon but just roll with me saying headcanon) that quirks with more physical effects that make people “non human” are looked down upon in society so I can’t not think about Ryo teaching Shishida to just embrace being yourself with your quirk and forget about keeping up with others expectations 24/7. Shishida seems more well mannered than most but he needs to let loose using his quirk and Ryo is the best for teaching that. ALSO FROM THE FANDOM/WIKI: “Jurota admires Hound Dog and wishes he could throw everything away like he does, but is unable to because of his upbringing.”

i am absolutely ENRAGED by the people who are hating on luberto(the ship between luca and alberto in the new pixar movie luca) and justifying it by saying “oh they’re too young”

i am usually not this organized but i have three points to make.

1. why the ship luberto is so important

2. why people who say that “they’re too young” are really not doing anything for their case

and 3. why luberto and the movie luca as a whole is a perfect metaphor for the queer journey

1. for my first point, the reason why the ship luberto is so important and we need it.

I’m going to say it flat out: it’s because we have next to no queer representation in children in the media.

as i myself figured out i was pansexual at 12 and am still underage, i feel so horrible that i have no queer representation that i can relate to. yes, there isn’t even a bare minimum of queer representation in media at ALL, but even less for children.

we, as minors, need proper, fleshed out characters that go through the journeys that a queer child goes through; and not just s3xualized teens and adults making out onscreen. as much as i had a easier journey figuring myself out then others, a majority of the underage queer minority goes through so much and have to do so much self-reflection to find themselves. we need representation of THAT. and luberto is EXACTLY that.

2. for my second point, i’m going to go into how fucking stupid people are to use the “oh they’re too young” as an excuse.

oh, so they’re too young? tell me why you ship straight couples in other disney movies, then. a MAJORITY of main characters in disney movies, particularly princess movies and such, are underage. if you’re going to go off about how luca and alberto are too young, don’t write fanfiction about moana and maui.

also, if you feel so strongly about underage f3tishization, why not speak out against REAL, underage celebrities being ACTUALLY s3xualized? why not speak out against underage r@pe?

3. alright, last but not least, my third point will be used to explain what a PERFECT metaphor luca is for the queer person’s journey.

luca starts out his journey with a mother that cares for him, but does NOT want him going abovewater. still, luca does so, and meets alberto. alberto shows him the joys of being himself, of exploring the surface- and i don’t know, that just might sound like an elder queer guiding a newly-realized queer to completely finding themselves?

and then his mother finds out. oh, gods, his mother finds out. she finds out, and then she tries to send him to the deep. sounds a bit like parents forcing religion into their kids to me.

and then there’s alberto. his dad leaves him, and although we still don’t know what exactly his motives are for doing so, that sounds awfully like- hmm, maybe disownment?

then, luca and alberto escape to the town. the town is more sea monster-phobic than they anticipated, though. SO much of what they say about sea monsters are what homophobic people say about queers.

special mention here for alberto’s jealousy over luca hanging out with giulia :)

then there’s alberto’s “outing”. luca retreats into the same sea monster- hating mindset that the humans have in order to protect himself, and that sounds a little bit like internalized homophobia. and after that, they have a little sort of apology session on the island, and then the beginning of the contest, and then we have the second outing of alberto and the outing of luca.

it all feels like a queer metaphor. the way luca overcame his internalized sea monster hate and helped alberto out, the way giulia and massimo were the perfect allies to them, and the old ladies coming out as sea monsters. it would make PERFECT sense if they were queer, and it would take NOTHING away from the original story. it would still be a story about friendship, and acceptance, and whatever bull that homophobes say this movie is about. it would just ALSO be about the queer journey.

also, they look adorable together and just because two characters are in love DOESN’T mean that it’s s3xual :) ever seen two kindergarteners have crushes on each other?? yeah, i guarantee you have.

Jimin and Namjoon were inseparable. The couple strived to spend every waking second together, and in most cases did manage to be together all the time. When they went off to uni together, Jimin chose to live with a close family friend, Seokjin, while Namjoon got his own apartment. They figured it would be best to live separately while in uni so they could focus on their studies. If they were together all the time, there was a pretty good chance that they wouldn’t be keeping up with their course work.

Once they’d adjusted to the routines of uni, they begged Seokjin to hire them both at his cafe. After months of begging and other failed job attempts, Seokjin finally agreed to hire them. He usually put them on the same shift, given that they had very similar class schedules. But that just meant they could spend even more time together. They spent their time at work about 70% goofing around with each other and the other 30% actually working, but Seokjin never said anything about it. The shop was never that busy anyway. And when they were getting work done, they performed excellently.

Namjoon and Jimin were perfect for each other, though it didn’t seem that way on the surface. Many of their mutual friends early assumed that Jimin would be too high maintenance for Namjoon. Or that Namjoon would be too stoic to match Jimin’s need for affection. But they seemed to be perfect. They had their differences, but they always made it work.

When Namjoon showed up for work one exceptionally cold morning in February, he grabbed his apron off the rack and looked around the break room for Jimin. They were scheduled to start at the same time, 7:00 AM. Usually, they would show up a little early to catch up before they had to start working the counter. Most days Jimin would be the first one in the break room because Namjoon was always running just a bit late. But Jimin was nowhere to be found. Namjoon sat in a small metal chair in the break room and scrolled through his phone for a little while. He still had fifteen minutes until his shift actually started, but not one single text from Jimin. He considered asking Seokjin if he’d seen Jimin, but decided to hold out a little bit longer. With five minutes to the start of their shift, Jimin rushed in and fumbled to grab his apron.

Namjoon leapt out of the chair and crept behind Jimin. He rested his head on Jimin’s lean shoulder and wrapped his hands around Jimin’s thin waist. “You running late?” He asked, planting gentle kisses down Jimin’s jawline.

Jimin just tried to hastily tie the apron around his back. He tilted his head away from Namjoon and wiggled a bit, forcing Namjoon to release. “Please, don’t touch me. Okay?” Jimin sniffled.

Namjoon was very hurt. In their four years as a couple, Jimin had never rejected his affection. He wondered why all of a sudden Jimin didn’t want to be touched. Everything was fine the previous night, when they kissed each other goodnight on Jimin’s doorstep. How could all have gone down hill in just a short eight hours. Maybe it was that he forgot to text him when he got back to his place. Would something that small really set Jimin off? Namjoon didn’t even have to think about that. Of course it would. He then wondered why Jimin was sniffling. Was he crying? Namjoon must have really messed up to make Jimin cry, he thought. “Did I do something?” Namjoon asked, desperate to stop his spiraling thoughts.

Jimin sniffled again, “No, hyung, it’s not you. I swear. It’s me.” Jimin turned to face Namjoon. This was the first time Namjoon had truly seen how Jimin looked. He had awful dark bags under his uncharacteristically dull eyes. His nose was tinted red, and his cheekbones were positively flushed. His mess of blond hair was matted down by the sweat forming on his hairline. He looked like one puff of breath would set him off balance, and Namjoon didn’t dare try it.

“Jiminie, are you feeling okay?” Namjoon asked, already knowing the answer to that question.

“Yeah, hyung, I feel fine.” Jimin sniffled again. It was an obvious lie. He could tell that Namjoon could see just how sick he was. But he didn’t want Seokjin to know about his illness. Seokjin had a tendency to mother all the members of their small friend group. And while most times Jimin was all for that extra love and attention, he just wanted to fly under Seokjin’s radar this one time. All he had to do was make it through the next eight hours and then he would have all of Sunday to rest up for classes on Monday. He wouldn’t have another shift until Wednesday. He could definitely kick the cold by then.

Namjoon didn’t see it that way, though. “Don’t lie to me, Jimin-ah. I can see right through your bullshit.” He grabbed Jimin’s thin wrists and pulled him closer. He pressed his lips to Jimin’s sweaty forehead, casually confirming a fever while showering his boyfriend in affection.

Jimin struggled to push himself away, Namjoon’s embrace as secure as ever. “Alright, Joonie. So I’m a little under the weather. But I don’t want you touching me. I don’t want you to get you sick because of me. Can you respect that?”

Namjoon smirked, “Nope.” He pulled Jimin further into his arms and moved in for a kiss. Jimin, however, managed to get out just to avoid sneezing all over Namjoon’s face. Jimin’s small fit had him bent at the waist, sniffling and wiping his nose on the back of his hand. He’d have to wash them before he handled anyone’s orders. “Baby, you’re sick. You should really just go back home and rest.” He used one hand to gently massage Jimin’s shoulder and the other started to untie Jimin’s apron. “Seokjin-hyung will understand.”

Jimin pushed him away, “No, I’m not telling Seokjin-hyung. I’m just gonna stay in the back room and work the grinder. I’ve got this all planned out,” Jimin stopped to cough. A painfully disgusting sound, Namjoon thought to himself. “Just please don’t tell Seokjin-hyung. Can you do that for me?” He batted his eyelashes rapidly, the way he does when he’s nonchalantly begging for something.

Namjoon’s eyes shot around the cafe break room and then back to Jimin, whose big, a bit watery, pleading eyes with his long curvy eyelashes were still looking up at him. “No promises.” Namjoon mumbled. He stepped away from Jimin and into the dining area of the coffee shop. He saw Seokjin at the counter preparing a cup of coffee for himself.

“Oh, good morning, Namjoon-ah.” He checked his watch. It was already three minutes after seven o’clock. “Have you seen Jimin yet, I didn’t see him come in.”

Namjoon nodded, “He’s here, hyung. He’s in the back grinding up beans for the day.” He had to physically bite his tongue to fight the urge to tell Seokjin about Jimin’s condition. He knew it would be the right thing to do; but at the same time, he didn’t want to betray Jimin’s trust.

“Hm, he must have slipped right past me.” Seokjin continued working on the coffee, back turned to Namjoon. Namjoon made himself busy stocking the pastry display with fresh baked goods. “Say, what were you and Jimin doing last night?” Seokjin broke the awkward silence.

Namjoon furrowed his brow. Seokjin usually didn’t want to know anything about his and Jimin’s personal relationship and Namjoon liked it that way. He scratched at the back of his neck, “Uhm, nothing really. Just hung out mostly. We were watching movies.” He answered bashfully. He gave Seokjin a minute to see if he would explain why he asked, but an explanation never came. No sort of response came. He decided to ask himself. “Why do you ask?”

“Oh, no reason.” Seokjin sipped his coffee. Namjoon continued to stare, expecting more. Seokjin continued, clearing his throat before speaking. “It’s just that, at around two in the morning, I heard gagging coming from Jimin’s room. And I was wondering, if maybe… it was… Well, you know.” Seokjin casually sipped his coffee again, the tips of his ears turned bright red..

Namjoon’s eyes widened. His own stomach dropped to the floor at the thought of Seokjin hearing them. Or even just Seokjin thinking that he heard them. “That’s not possible, hyung. I left around 11 o’clock.” He repeated, hoping to permanently erase the thought from Seokjin’s imagination. He wished he could permanently erase the whole conversation.

“Hm.” Seokjin nodded. “All right then.” He set the coffee on the back counter. They stood awkwardly for a long half hour of silence until a customer finally entered the shop. “Namjoon-ah. Go run back and see how Jimin is doing with those grounds. I’ll help the first customer.”

Namjoon gladly left the front and went back to see Jimin. He walked through the swinging door to the back room, scanning for Jimin. He saw Jimin leaning against the grinder, dozing off. Namjoon smirked and rolled his eyes. He walked over to Jimin and lightly pushed his shoulder. Jimin, startled, shot up and spilled ground coffee all over the floor. He shrieked in annoyance, “Dammit Namjoon, what was that for?” He shrieked as he went to get the broom. Namjoon took the broom from Jimin’s hands with little resistance and started sweeping up the grounds. “Namjoon, what is your problem? Why did you punch me?” Jimin asked, rubbing his shoulder.

“I barely touched you, Minie.” Namjoon shot Jimin a small smile. Jimin was not amused, still waiting for an answer. “And if I did, you deserved it. Seokjin-hyung asked me if you were gagging on my dick last night. Because he heard gagging coming from your room.” Namjoon lightly pushed Jimin again. Jimin turned a bright shade of red, much redder than any fever could cause. “See, you deserved it. Why were you gagging? Did you throw up last night?” Namjoon interrogated further.

Jimin sniffled, “Uh, maybe, I did, but just a little bit.” Jimin wrapped his arms around his middle, just thinking about throwing up twisted his stomach in knots. “And about hyung, I’m really sorry he asked you that. I’ll make it up to you, I promise.”

“You can make it up to me by telling Seokjin-hyung that you’re going home early. Jiminie, love, you really shouldn’t be here. You’re getting your germs all over the coffee, and you can barely stay awake. You look sick as a dog,” Namjoon moved Jimin’s dripping bangs and pressed his hand to Jimin’s forehead. “And you have a fever, probably a high one” He finished, wiping Jimin’s sweat onto his pants. “You need to go home.”

Jimin took a second to cough into his elbow, “I don’t want to go home. I want to be here…with you. At home, I’ll be all by myself. I’d rather be here with you, suffering through the day, than at home in my bed without you.”

“Jiminie, I’m telling Seokjin-hyung. It hasn’t even been an hour. We still have seven and a half hours to get through. You can’t do it.” Namjoon comfortingly put his hand on Jimin’s shoulder, “I love you, Jimin. And I hate seeing you struggling like this.”

“No! Please don’t tell hyung. I can do it. I know I can.” Jimin’s eyes filled with tears that he was trying desperately to hold back. He looked like he was mere seconds away from a full waterworks display. Fevers always made him more emotional. And he was already a very emotional person.

Namjoon felt genuinely bad for Jimin, but he knew what was best for him. He took Jimin into his arms and let him cry it out on his shoulder. Jimin hesitated at first, but the comforting feeling of Namjoon’s arms around him made him forget that he wanted to stay away from Namjoon. He instantly started crying onto Namjoon and squeezed him tightly. He rubbed Jimin’s back and hushed him. “Please, Jimin. Just go home, for my sake.” He kissed the top of Jimin’s too warm head.

Jimin wiped his eyes and nose on his shirt sleeve. Before Jimin could open his mouth to refute again, Seokjin walked through the door, “Is everything alright back here?” He assessed the situation. He figured the two were goofing off as per the usual. He saw there were still some coffee grounds on the floor, and the broom in Namjoon’s hands. He then looked to Jimin. “Jimin, what’s the matter? You look awful.”

Namjoon smirked. He got what he wanted, and he didn’t have to betray Jimin’s trust to get it.

“I’m just a little under the weather, hyung. But I’m okay. I can stay.” Jimin grabbed the broom from Namjoon and swept up the remainder of the grounds on the floor, letting out productive and wet coughs all the while.

“Oh no, Jimin. You are going straight home, and straight to bed.” Seokjin then grabbed the broom from Jimin and handed it back to Namjoon. Namjoon disposed of all the spilled grounds and put the broom back in the corner with the rest of the cleaning supplies. He listened intently as Jimin and Seokjin battled it out. Jimin insisted he could stay, but Seokjin continued to push that Jimin should go home. In the end, Jimin gave up with a defeated sign and untied his apron.

Namjoon stopped Jimin on his way out the coffee shop door. “Jimin,” he called. He hugged Jimin tightly and kissed his warm cheek. “I’ll be over as soon as I get done here. Okay?” He wasn’t sure if Jimin was sniffling from crying, or if Jimin was just sniffling from his runny nose; but it was one of those. He felt Jimin nod in his chest, and promptly released so Jimin could start the trek home.

Namjoon went back behind the counter and stood next to Seokjin. He wanted to thank him for sending Jimin home, but still did not feel ready to strike up a conversation with his hyung after their awkward discussion that morning. The next few hours were very uneventful. Namjoon wiped down all the tables, chairs, machines and countertops, but that all took less than an hour. He then continued to mop the floors, disinfect the customer restroom, and even organize the flavored syrups alphabetically. And even after all that, he still had five hours left in his shift.

He couldn’t stop thinking about Jimin being alone in his house, with no one to take care of him. Seokjin noticed how Namjoon would look at the clock every three minutes, and then look disappointed when he realized so little time had passed. He also ignored when he’d see Namjoon glance at his phone in his pocket and click his tongue in disappointment when he didn’t see what he was looking for. He watched Namjoon rush around the small cafe trying desperately to occupy himself, because he needed any kind of distraction to take his mind off his sickly boyfriend. Seokjin was pleased with all the work Namjoon had gotten done, and decided to do something he would never usually do. “Say, Namjoon-ah. You did a good job today.”

Namjoon smirked, not used to receiving random praise from his hyung, “Thank you.” He looked back to the clock like that small interaction had passed the time any faster.

“How’d you like the rest of the day off? I mean, there aren’t really many customers, and you have already cleaned everything in the store.” Seokjin smiled at the wide eyes Namjoon gave him, “I think that maybe Jimin needs you a lot more than I do right now.”

“Really?” Namjoon cocked his head. Usually, no matter how dead it was in the cafe, he always made the both of them stay.

Seokjin nodded, “Yes, really. Now, go on. Get out of here.” he smiled.

Namjoon ran back to the break room and put his apron back on the rack. He bolted out the door and sprinted the whole way to Jimin’s apartment. He pulled out his key chain as he turned onto Jimin’s hallway and got out the key to Jimin’s door. He rushed into Jimin’s room. After bursting through the door, he finally stopped for a second to catch his breath. He saw Jimin lying in his bed, fidgeting in his restless sleep. He smiled and sat down next to Jimin’s head. He started petting Jimin’s sweaty hairs, trying to offer comfort. He figured Jimin was struggling through a fever dream. He planted a small kiss on the top of Jimin’s head and sent him his best thoughts.

He knew it was best to let Jimin sleep off the fever. He took a seat at Jimin’s desk and stole occasional glances at his boyfriend while he slept. He looked around the room and saw the bucket Jimin must have thrown up into last night. Shaking his head, he signed and took the bucket down to the bathroom to clean it out. The thought crossed his mind about how gross it was to be cleaning Jimin’s vomit, but he dismissed it. He knew that Jimin would do the same for him. When he returned to Jimin’s room with the freshly cleaned bucket, he noticed that he was starting to wake. Namjoon sat back down on the edge of the bed and gently rubbed Jimin’s back.

Namjoon’s gentle touch startled Jimin awake. He practically jumped out of the bed, turning over to see his attacker. “Joonie-hyung,” he coughed out, “Is it three o’clock already?” He asked.

Namjoon shook his head, “Seokjin-hyung let me out early so I could be here to take care of you.”

Jimin cocked his head, “That doesn’t sound like something hyung would do.”

“That’s what I said,” Namjoon laughed, “But I swear it’s the truth. You can ask him yourself when he gets back. I think he was really worried about you.”

Jimin scowled a bit at the thought that Seokjin was worried about him. That was exactly what he was trying to avoid. He wanted Namjoon’s attention. Not to be smothered by his other hyungs. “Still, you shouldn’t be here. I don’t want you to get sick because of me. Then you would hate me forever.” He cowered under his covers, suppressing a chill.

“I could never hate you, Jiminie.” Namjoon nuzzled close to Jimin and kissed the tip of his nose. Jimin’s nose fidgeted from the touch, scrunching his nose a few times as he fought off a sneeze. It would be back for him later. “Alright, what’s first Jimin? Soup, juice, medicine...take your pick.” He asked, happy to play nurse for the day.

Jimin fidgeted a bit, “Well, my throat really hurts, and I’m not really that hungry…” he admitted

“Then medicine it is.” Namjoon chuckled. He knew Jimin’s apartment inside and out. He knew that he kept all his medicine in the medicine cabinet in the bathroom, and that’s where he went to find something for Jimin to take. He read all the boxes carefully, looking for one that relieved all of Jimin’s symptoms. He couldn’t find the cure-all, so he settled for the closest one. He took the bottle and a small glass of tap water back to Jimin’s room and watched him swallow two of the small red pills. Jimin grabbed at his throat with a wince as he swallowed the pills, coughing as they went down.

“Joonie, it hurts.” Jimin cried out after the coughing subsided. Namjoon didn’t really know what to do. He was just doing everything his mom usually did for him when he was sick as a kid. He never really helped anyone when they were sick. There were times where his mom would ask him to take care of his sister when she was sick. But she was always an independent kid, so Namjoon never really had to do anything for her. He’d let her handle it herself. He didn’t want to do that to Jimin. He wanted to be able to help him, but he never actually took the time to learn any of what he would need to do.

Namjoon sat down on Jimin’s bed and pet his sweaty blonde hair. “You’re gonna be okay, Jimin. I’m here.”

Jimin rested his head onto Namjoon’s chest and closed his eyes. His breathing was raspy, but even. Namjoon treasured how calm Jimin seemed to be. Jimin was usually always on edge, anxious about something. He figured that when he was sick, Jimin was too exhausted to worry. Or maybe it was that he wasn’t strung out on too much caffeine. Whatever it was, Namjoon cherished it. He rarely had the opportunity to see Jimin so calm and relaxed. Jimin allowed a few dry coughs to escape his throat and winced while doing so. He seemed to have only gotten worse in the few hours since he left the cafe.

Namjoon could feel his heart breaking. He could tell how much pain Jimin was in, and there was nothing he could do to make it go away. He wished he could do something to make all of Jimin’s pain stop. While he was conjuring up ideas he’d remembered from TV shows and movies, Jimin had peacefully begun to fall asleep against Namjoon’s chest. The sound of congested snores started to fill the room, and Namjoon couldn’t help but chuckle a bit at Jimin. He knew sleep would be best, so he laid himself down in Jimin’s bed, trying his hardest to keep Jimin asleep while adjusting him to lay down. Namjoon continued to use his chest as a pillow for Jimin and wrapped his arm behind Jimin’s back to keep him propped up. He pulled the blankets around the both of them and watched the rise and fall of Jimin’s chest until his own eyes slipped shut.
