Eddie from Chili’s Pt 2
Waiter!Eddie x Shy!Reader
Tumblr media
Part 1 Part 3
Summary: You go back to the restaurant to make your move on the cute waiter.
Warnings: fem!reader, no use of Y/n, fluff, reader is oozing anxiety, flirting, a couple allusions to spicy things, a kiss
A/N: As usual, you guys are amazing, and I always look forward to seeing your comments and hearing your thoughts on my silly little writings 💖
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
You sat perched on the barstool, eyes wandering towards the familiar doors that led to the kitchen. The tables in his section were full so you sit at the bar.
There, you waited for the bartender to show up, staring down at your nails as you wait and began to wonder why the hell you didn’t paint them. You hear footsteps approach, shoes scuffing on the carpet behind the counter as the bartender— the brother— stepped up with a familiar smile, “Hi, there! What can I get for you?”
“Uh, can I get a Tito’s and lemonade?” You ask, thinking of the first drink you remember your friends loving.
He nodded, “For sure!” and grabbed a glass to fill with ice, and then asked to check your ID. “Awesome— Texas lemonade coming right up.” He nodded and handed it back to you, his attitude much more outgoing than Eddie’s had been, though both men were perfectly personable.
He set to work making your drink silently, nothing but the swish and rattle of the drink being poured over ice and the idle chatter of the dining room to be heard.
Your eyes scanned the room, checking all the moving bodies for that familiar head of hair, wondering if he was even here, for all you knew he could’ve quit by now.
“—Looking for someone?” The bartender asked. His name tag read Dakota.
You swallow and shake your head before looking down, “Oh! No, not at all.”
Dakota chuckled, “You sure? Your eyes are practically peeled.” He sat your drink in front of you and smiled.
“Thank you.” Is all you say before taking a tentative sip and trying not to wince at the tartness.
“Well, if you need anything, let us know.” He said before slipping away and into the kitchen.
You groan to yourself before resting your head on your fist and stirring the drink with the skinny straw you never use.
Absolutely pathetic. You sit and berate yourself for a minute, concluding that you’d drink half the glass before asking for some water to drive home.
“Long time, no see!”
Your head popped up to find Eddie behind the bar, walking towards you. Looking at you. Speaking to you.
You were at another loss for words, your mouth gaping and closing involuntarily as you searched for something to say. Eddie’s smile grew as you struggled and he leaned over the counter behind the bar. “I was hoping I’d see you again.” He muttered with twinkling eyes.
Your eyes flicker up to his, your heart warming and chest unclenching, “Oh?” You suddenly play coy, “Why is that?” you say, and take a drink.
Eddie’s eyes brightened at that, “Well, you’re the most polite customer I’ve had in months!” His eyes ran down your being. He snickered at your blush, leaning closer on his elbows as his brother left the kitchen with a platter in hand— working Eddie’s tables. “Not to mention the cutest.” He winked with that smug smile.
You give a breathy chuckle before you take another swig, earning a genuine laugh from him as you set down the half empty glass.
“Are you nervous?” He asked quietly, pressing back up on his hands, somehow even closer and not close enough. He oozed confidence and cool, like he did this all the time. Like he was so used to girls practically swooning for him, unable to speak.
You could only nod in response.
“Well, why’s that?” He shrugged, eyes trailing down your face as he appraised you.
You swallow and hope it wasn’t too loud, “I’m here to meet someone.” You cringe inside of yourself, what the fuck? This isn’t the plan??
“Oh.” His smug grin falls along with the twinkle in his eye. You hate how it makes you feel inside to see him disappointed.
“A friend.” You shrug. His eyes perk at that.
“Just a friend? —I mean, like, i-is your mom coming too?” He faltered, your smile rising as his cheeks reddened and he cleared his throat nervously before looking away.
“Mhm. Just a friend. Though my mom will be thrilled to hear Eddie from Chili’s asked about her.” You smile at the sound of his laugh.
“So you do remember me?” He asks with a smile of relief.
You nod shyly at your glass, stirring the water with the other useless straw. “Kinda hard not to.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” He leans on his hands, hoping you’ll keep talking.
You sigh and roll your eyes before meeting his gaze, “You’re a … a really good waiter.” You settle.
Eddie chuckles heartily, something you wanted to hear over and over and over again. “Thank you, I try my best. My goal is ultimate customer satisfaction.” He widens his eyes for emphasis and takes note on your hitched breath. “So is there anything else I can get for you?”
“Oh! Uh…”
He watches you as he picks up a menu and sets it down in front of you. “I could just bring you some chicken fingers while you wait.” You look back up at him under your eyelashes, “Four of them, right?” He asked with a hidden smile as your cheeks burned.
“No, no it’s okay, I’m not hungry.” You shake you head. Eddie cocks his to the side in question but takes the menu back without a word.
“Well, uh,” he began as another patron sat down at the bar on the other side, “—I’ll be right back!” He said, happy for an excuse to leave and stay close.
You let out a sigh of relief as he walked up to the older man, easily striking up a conversation as he took his order and went about pouring something dark into a short glass.
Your phone chimes as a message comes in from your best friend, asking for a progress report. Before you can type a coherent response, you manage to send a thumbs up paired with a melting face as Eddie walks back over to you.
“Is there anything I can get started for your friend?” He asks. You put your phone face down on the bar, meeting his eye as the perfect excuse comes to mind, “No, actually, she isn’t coming.”
Eddie tsks though it’s apparent he isn’t bummed to keep you to himself for the rest of your stay. “Well, ain’t that a shame.”
You nod down at the counter top again before the words came spilling out of you unwillingly, “—Actually she wasn’t ever coming. I lied.” You feel like you’re going to throw up. Like actually. Your stomach knots itself, ready for the cute boy in front of you to look at you in disgust and have you escorted out for harassment or something.
“Oh?” Is all he asked, leaning on his forearms, getting closer to you.
You nod shamefully.
“So you did come for me?” He clarified.
You close your eyes as the blush worked up your cheeks, giving into your smile as you nod, again, but smaller. “That’s what you care about? Not that I lied?”
Eddie’s own smile grew, “Well, you’re a shy little thing, I don’t blame you.” He winked at your burning cheeks as he leaned closer, lowering his voice and letting you peek at the man behind the cool facade, “But, if you would’ve asked for my number, or left yours on the receipt like I wanted you to,” he chided, “I would’ve called, y’know. Or answered.” He shrugged.
You manage to look at him— really, look at him. The unease in your body began to uncoil as you observed how he looked at you; not like a meal, but with intrigue.
“And what if I asked for it now?”
“I don’t think you’d call me.” He shook his head with a knowing smile.
You scoff and ask, “Why not?”
He gave you a pointed look and let his neck go limp a little as if to say ‘really?’
“Okay, wrong question—well, if you wanted my number, why didn’t you ask for it?” You ask as you twist your glass idly on the coaster, trying not to look as curious as you felt.
“Pfft, yeah, and freak you out? Be the weird skeezy waiter— at a Chili’s, no less? Uh-uh. I’m above that.” He shook his head assuringly. You chuckle and look down at the cubes floating in your glass.
“I’ve never had to try to get a number here before,” He began, his eyes on the wood you’d been so focused on for the duration of your visit, “— kinda just happens for me, so… I was counting on that receipt having a name and number on it but…” he tsked and shook his head pointedly at you, “—Nope! Nada. Just a fat tip from your mom—which I totally appreciate, by the way.”
Your cheeks redden, “So…do you want me to ask for your number…?” You ask in confusion.
“Actually, I think I should ask for yours.” He said, idly wiping at the counter, “Since you’re scared.” He teased.
Your mouth gaped, “I’ll have you know I can be very courageous.”
He snickered down at the counter before looking back up at you, “Courageous enough to join me on my break in about ten minutes?” He nodded back into the kitchen.
You exhale, “Am I.. allowed?”
“—Yes, you’re allowed.” He scoffed and pushed your drink forward. “C’mon, Chicken Fingers, drink your liquid courage, and I’ll show you where I go hide about 10 times a day.”
“Ch-Chicken fingers??” You question, leaning forward with wide eyes and an incredulous smile struggling to be shoved away by the corners of your mouth and failing miserably.
Eddie beamed as you chuckled, a blush of his own warming his cheeks, “Well, I don’t know your name, so,” he shrugged, “It was either that or Quiet Quinn.” He managed with a plain face.
You narrow your eyes at the man until he breaks into laughter, the sound charming enough to make you smile along with him before you told him your name and he smiled again and reached out his hand for yours, clasping it firmly, “Nice to meet you, I’m Eddie.”
“I know.” You chuckle as you shake his hand.
“Ooh, I’ve never had a stalker before— how flattering.” He almost purred as he kept your hand in his, running his thumb over the back of your hand as he laid it on the counter and made no move to let it go.
You scoff and roll your eyes, letting him keep your hand, “My moms been hounding me about coming back for the last month.” You roll your eyes and take a sip.
“Oh, you’ve been talking about me with your mom?” He asks.
You wanna spit out the drink but instead your eyes widen and you tip it back farther until you finish it with a hardy gulp and set it down. “I’ll be taking the check now.” You say shamefully, closing your eyes.
You open them when you hear his laughter again, watching as he releases your hand and takes your cup, “That won’t be necessary, sweetheart.” He says it, even though he now knows your name, and begins to wash the glass.
You watch him quietly, the way the water splatters on his forearms and how his rings look when they’re glittering under the added shine and clanking against the glass he cleaned. “So what do you do?” He asked as he collected the old man’s glass without as much as a glance to him.
You jump slightly after being so dialed into his movements you have to quickly piece together your response, “Oh! Well, I’m in school for graphic design. And I work at a chiropractor's office scheduling people and whatnot.”
You study how he clutches the towel in his hand and turns the knobs of the sink before turning to dry the glass. “A secretary slash designer,” he mused as he polished the glass in his hands, “So you’re creative and good with computers, I’ll jot that down.” He smiled as he looked back up at you.
“What about you?” You ask as he puts away the glass and prints a ticket to hand to the gentleman waiting patiently. Eddie slides it over and watches at the man digs out cash and some change. You watch as he smiles and thanks the old man before sliding the cash off the table and scraping the coins into his hand and counting it before shoving it in the register.
Almost forgetting you asked a question, you watch as he washes his hands again and begins to replenish the supply of lime wedges—something you suppose is his brother's job. Maybe they switched jobs a lot because Eddie moved about the bar with an ease that felt practiced.
“Well, when I’m not being the world's best waiter, I work at a body shop installing glass on cars, sometimes some side jobs pulling dents if I can get ‘em.” He shrugged as he sliced them into perfect wedges.
You nod, “Do you like it?”
“Makes good money! Lets me do the stuff I’d rather be doing.” He chuckles to himself. You cock your head slightly before he finished putting the rest of it away and turning to the computer as he dried his hands again.
You watch him press a few buttons on the screen before it printed your ticket and he threw it away in the trash below and sent you one of those dazzling winks of his.
He leans forward on his elbows again, “Ready, Chicken Fingers?” He asks before glancing to his brother, busy taking an order at one of his corner tables.
You roll your eyes and glower with a poorly repressed smile as you give him a timid nod and hop off the seat.
Eddie walks around the counter, waiting for you at the kitchen doors. He takes your hand and guides you, opening the door and keeping you close, your hand fitting perfectly in his. He kept a firm hold on you as he dodged people in black and white, more people than you thought could fit back here.
“Hey, Eddie!” A line cook greeted him.
Eddie shot the guy a charming smile and wave with his free hand without stopping, “How’s it going, Hal?” He called before facing forward again, headed for the black door at the back.
The man answered Eddie but he didn’t care to continue the conversation, he just wanted out of there— wanted you out of there.
He opened the door to the back, where the dumpster resided with walls surrounding it— keeping divers from picking through their trash, you suppose.
Eddie lets go of your hand to reach for his carton of cigarettes, “You smoke?” He asked as he pulled one out.
You shake your head, “Sorry, no.”
Eddie pauses before idly flicking his lighter twice, “Don’t be! You mind if I…“ he gestures to the stick and bic in his hands.
“No! No, go for it. I don’t mind it, just never tried it.” You assure as he burned the end of the cigarette til it glowed. His cheeks hollowed as he sucked and nodded.
“Don’t ever do it!” He warned, mumbling around the filter before pulling it away, “You’re too pretty to smell like an ashtray.” Smoke slithered out of his mouth around his teeth as he spoke and stepped forward, blowing the rest of it to the side and waving it away from you and taking another pull and keeping his eyes on yours.
He was so close you had to look up at him, your bottom lip hiding between your teeth for a moment before releasing it. “Doesn’t stop you.” You quip almost proudly.
Eddie looked impressed, “Ooh! That was smooth, pretty girl.” He blew his smoke up into the sky, exposing the adams apple jutting out of his thick neck, oh so perfectly.
You wanted so badly to know what it felt like against your lips…
Caressed under your loving hand…
His face tilted back down to yours, a brilliant smile stretching across his face bit by bit. “You think I’m pretty?” He asked. You nod, a vacant smile on your lips, “Or is it the alcohol talking?” His brows pinched in the middle as he leaned down closer to you, as if to examine you for drunkenness.
You roll your eyes and cross your arms, “It was one drink! Besides— I thought you were pretty ever since I first saw you.”
“You been thinking about how pretty I am?” He asked in false curiosity.
That bashful smile crossed your face again before you nodded, “I already told you that.” You look down again and notice how he takes another small step forward.
“I’ve been thinking about you too.” He smiled, the scent of his citrus cologne was muddled with the ribbons of cigarette smoke he blew into the air around you. The warm and spicy scent practically swarmed you the second he got closer, and you never wanted to smell anything else again.
“Why?” You shake your head.
“Cause I have that same Nirvana shirt you wore.” He shrugged one shoulder and your heart sank. “Like it better on you though.” He added.
You peek back up at him, brows raised in question as your eyes flicker from his eyes to his lips. “How do I know this isn’t something you just ‘do’?” You ask, crossing your arms and looking away from his stupid, handsome face.
“What, talk to pretty girls? I do all the time, it’s part of my job.” He took a toke, talking about the pretty girls he served like art on a wall he’s seen a dozen times. “But I can honestly say I haven’t brought any of them to my secret hiding spot.” He shrugged easily, no sign of defense lining his tone. “—Not to mention had any of them swallow their tongue at the sight of me and still come back! Maybe you are courageous, Chicken Fingers.”
You roll your eyes and push his chest playfully, sending him backwards a couple steps. He chuckled as he recovered and you crossed your arms with another smile you didn’t realize you wore, “So now what?” You look around the area, stray garbage littering the wet ground and the scent of the meat cooking on the grill wafting out of vent on top of the building.
“Depends.” Eddie takes another puff on the dwindling menthol.
You tilt your head, cocking it to the side and shift your weight to your hip, narrowing your eyes the slightest bit and appraising him, “On?” You scoff with a playful smile.
“On… if you wanna go on a date with me.” He rocked on his heels and threw the butt on the ground, almost hiding under his curly bangs.
You smiled and nodded, “…and if I say yes?” You can’t help but glance to his lips again as he smiled, shuffling forward, only inches away from your face.
“If you say yes… I can guarantee you’ll have the time of your life.” He analyzed your face, searching for the same hesitation that riddled your being the last time he saw you.
He didn’t find a trace of it. You kept your eyes on him, not shying away from his gaze.
“Then I say… we should go out sometime.” You smile shyly.
Eddie’s mouth hangs open in pleasant surprise, his eyes twinkled in excitement. “Ohh, you are smooth! How could I say no to that?” As if you’d asked him out in the first place.
If he were to get any closer your chests would be touching, he’d have to straddle his feet on either side of yours—getting that close he’d have you against the wall of the restaurant.
And you wanted him to, so badly.
He leaned down to your ear, “You gonna show me the time of my life?” He asked lowly.
You inhale deeply, trying not to shudder at the way his breath grazed your neck and ear, and nod, “I’ll give it my best.” You said almost breathily.
Eddie chuckles softly as he leaned back to appraise you, tracing your collar with his finger before curling it into the ends of your hair and twirling a strand for a moment, savoring the texture.
His gaze turned more serious as his other hand came up to your other shoulder for a warm and affectionate squeeze before he tsked, “I gotta get back in there, pretty girl.” He said glumly.
You nod understandingly, “Yeah, I should head out too.”
He nodded again at you and his eyes dipped down to your lips again, lingering like he had at your table a month ago. “I, uh, I can walk you to your car.” He nodded towards the gate in the wall, an almost shut padlock through the metal rings to keep it closed.
“Yes, please.” You say softly.
Eddie’s hands leave your shoulders, with a smirk, “So polite—y’know you say please more than anyone I’ve ever met.” He chuckles, taking your hand to lead the way around to the customer parking, only releasing it once to open the gate for you and shut it back.
The walk was quiet, and you relished the feeling of his hand in yours again. You refrained from holding onto his arm with both hands, wanting his hand in both of yours as you arrived at your car.
“This is it.” You say, coming to a stop in front of the hood. He nods at you, still keeping your hand in his.
“Well, thank you for coming back.” He smiled at your sheepish grin and stroked the back of your hand, “I look forward to seeing you again.” He added.
“You too.” You say cordially before squeezing his hand and turning to go before you can throw up everywhere.
“Wait a minute!” He tugged you back to face him, “I still need your phone number.” He pulled out his phone and promptly unlocked it, opening his messages and starting a new thread for you to put your number in. “Unless you wanna come back, again.” He smiled, charming the socks off you yet again.
You take it from him and type your number, noticing his use of a cute emoji next to your misspelled name. You chuckle to yourself and fix it for him, reading it all back to yourself twice before calling it good and hand it back to him, watching as he smiles at the screen.
“Fuck, strike one, huh?” He blushes and looks up from the screen as his thumbs hovered over the keyboard.
You chuckle and dismiss it with a wave, “Nothing that hasn’t happened before. Now is it Eddie with two E’s or three?” You question playfully and watch as he bites the inside of his cheek and sigh.
“It’s actually three E’s, an I, and one D— in that order.” He types a message before locking it and putting it back in his pocket.
You’re giving him a real laugh, and an eye squinting, cheek aching, smile that has him smiling right back at you as the chime of your phone in your pocket goes off and you just can’t stop smiling at him, your cheeks burning but loving every second.
You see the way he looks at you, like he wants to say something, maybe— looking kinda bummed, even. You flutter your eyelashes at him before tilting your head, “Is there anything else I can get for you?” You say just above a whisper, your heart pounding so hard you don’t know if you’re trembling or not.
Eddie’s smile quirks up higher on one side as that twinkle reappears in his pupils, licking his lips with a knowing in his eye that said he knew what he wanted, he just couldn’t say it. He just stared at your lips for a moment longer before shaking his head dejectedly.
“Are you sure?” You ask again, shamelessly looking at his lips before meeting his eyes again.
He parted his lips before he leaned in slightly he hears his name called across the lot, “Get back in here, man, Damon’s gonna be here any minute!” His brother hollered from the door.
“Just a second!” He turned away to call back, his hand still in yours. You decide the moment he turns back to you, you’re gonna go for it— you’re gonna kiss him.
“Sorry, he’s worried about our manager coming—“ You watch intently as he turns back to you, taking his other hand in yours before pushing up on your toes to press a lingering kiss to the corner of his mouth, tingles surging up through your body.
You pull away as he freezes, alarmed. Your eyes widened, “Oh my god, is that not what you wanted me to do? I’m so sorry, I—“
He interrupts you by cradling your face in his hands, your face suddenly so warm in his touch. His hands were so soft and the rings were barely cool to the touch as he pressed them to your face in his gentle hold.
“—No! No, I mean, yes! Yeah, that’s what I wanted, just…“ his thumb brushes your bottom lip and your chest heaves as he pulls you in close and presses his lips squarely on yours, kissing you deep and slow before releasing your lips with a pop and lingering close to your face as the haze he cast out wrapped you up in warmth and content.
“—Oughta hold me over til I see you next. And you better text me, okay? Don't make me wait a month.” He warned.
You smile and nod as he releases your face.
“I work here every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday— noon til closing, in case you miss me too much.” He winked before pressing another kiss to your mouth and running across the lot as his brother stuck his head out the door to yell at him again.
You watch him until he’s back inside, breathless before sighing to yourself as you dig out your keys and hop in your car. When the engine turns over and your playlist connects to Bluetooth, you unlock your phone to find a message waiting for you from an unknown number.
You smile and tap on it, ready to add him to your contacts as ‘Eddie 🖤’, when you read the message you can’t help but let your head fall back and bring your knees to your chest as a Lizzie McAlpine song plays.
Eddie 🖤:

You blush, your heart swelling with the growing hope he’s as dorky and sweet on the side as he is handsome and gritty on the outside.
Another message came in just as you were about to type a response:
This is Eeeid, by the way. 😘

Leo Valdez x Child of Apollo ✶ ₊ ⊹
Pairing(s): Leo Valdez x Gn!Reader
A/n: I’ll probably do a child of Apollo one where they’re the opposite of the stereotype lol
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Honestly if you’re a child of Apollo then you’re more likely than not extroverted and more into the arts
So going off of that you’re definitely outgoing and pretty much the personification of sunshine
That’s what Leo notices about you when he first sees you
And seeing that people who are out of his league are his type, it’s an automatic attraction
Most likely introduced to you through the infirmary
Will and your other healer siblings were busy with more injured people and Leo was there due to some invention gone wrong
So when Will leaves after settling him,the last thing he expected was to see you
You began helping him and he wouldn’t be too surprised if you pointed out his drooling
Your gentle touches and soft voice, plus your patience and upbeat attitude really just made him simp even more lmao
After that he was practically begging annabeth to officially introduce him but that never really ended up happening cuz she’d just shoo him away
That however, changed when he was shown around and given a chance at handling other weapons
Once he got to the archery part of it he was absolutely terrible
He was pretty bummed out but when he noticed then switching out helpers, much to his surprise you were actually there
Once again handling and gently guiding him even when he failed terribly
He decided to shoot his shot (haha get it?) and he made the worst joke/pick up line known to man
He was so embarrassed especially since it came out half assed and said through his stutters
Then you laughed
You were so gorgeous and just honestly so attractive that once you left, Jason and Piper had to drag him away because of how mesmerized he was
Of course the two of you share more interactions, even before you got together
But once you do make it official? He’s honestly just the best and and likes watching you heal others (even if it comes off as uncomfortable or creepy-)
Plus he uses you to secretly heal his injuries without getting the backlash of being scolded
+ he gets to spend time with you
What really makes him confess to you, if he hadn’t already-
Would be pretty stereotypical and kinda cringe but please bare with me
So it all happens when at the nightly campfire and your siblings- in traditional Apollo spawn fashion, decide to sing some songs and play some instruments
- which isn’t exactly a rare occurrence
Apollo children get many talents in the arts and you just happen to be one of those people-
Once you finish Leo is so mesmerized that Jason had to shake him out of it
And if his jaw was on the floor, he’s guilty as charged
He’d probably confess by doing something spontaneous and would probably accidentally confess in front of your whole cabin
🚶‍♀️honestly can’t even say anything since you agreed to be his s/o
Most times he’d probs just love to watch you heal others and just be in your presence
Even if it could come off as creepy or uncomfortable sometimes….
Anyway, he’d definitely love to ask you to heal him especially in secret so he doesn’t get scolded
—And then he ends up getting scolded by you too …
Well not only were you seen as kind in his eyes by your always help with whatever you could: arts and crafts, music and other things you could lend your guidance
Because of how much you tend to be nice - it def left him shook when you suddenly got a little attitude
And ofc it’s when he decided to sneak in your cabin, wake you up, all cuz he wanted to do a nighttime rendezvous
I meannnnn who are u to decline??
So you do, yknow half unconscious basically being dragged along and Leo ended up learning his lesson to not interrupt your beauty sleep
Especially when it’s morning and he asks what that was all about
Then you’ll go on to explain during night just isn’t the ideal time of day for an Apollo kid
Plus add a “never do that again “
And he never will 🫠
Mostly out of fear
He learned his lesson
Anyway-
We all know how Leo is
He uses humor to cover up how vulnerable and sensitive he truly is
And he was admittedly afraid to pursue a relationship especially because you have to be open
And being open with his emotions would mean having to be basically stripped naked and seen at his core for who he really is
It’s only when you accept him and comfort him when he’s insecure -
That he realizes that maybe he was silly for thinking that way in the first place
Ofc you still have to bare with him and his shenanigans, plus the injuries he gets from them
You still love him at the end of the day ofc despite how often he gets hurt
Then you just cuddle and hope not to be ripped to shreds by harpies 🫠😭
Atleast you can heal him and go back to bed immediately LMAOO
Because of how upbeat you are, your reassurance and comfort to Leo really helps him out
I mean how could he be so pessimistic around someone so optimistic and energetic
So of course he returns to his charming and ridiculously cringe self
He’s really just grateful to be dating you
Especially for that fact you’ve never snitched when he would sneak out and stuff
If you were to ever make him a poem or anything he’d probably fluster/cringe
I mean you probably know it’s cringe which is why u even showed him lol
However, the day Leo mentions haikus you tell him to please shut up before you here the familiar voice of your father from afar.

The school's atmosphere was always bustling, you and your small friend group never felt like outsiders in these rusty walls. Graduation was right around the corner and as much as it should have been a good thing, you felt as if a huge part of your life will be taken away from you. Instead you'll receive a piece of paper for the countless sleepless nights and mental breakdowns. You wondered where all the time between freshman year and the last months of senior year had gone.
Niki. He was with you since birth, or at least you liked to believe that. It was the perfect cliche, next door neighbor and family best friend born on the same day. You always called him a walking red flag for the numerous times he'd do something against the norms. It was small things like pouring his milk first or more concerning instincts where he’d tie his shoes before actually getting into them. He’d defend himself with the barrier of time saving, but you doubted it was even true. But aside the weird things he’d do, the true him was a sunny and caring person. He liked the feeling that making people happy gave him. He put the people closest to him before himself. In Conclusion, he had a heart of gold but a brain full of air.
Jungwon. It has always been hard for you to give a coherent depiction of his personality. Every first of the month he became a new person. In September he made ‘deez nuts’ jokes but as soon as october came they were old and cringe. His confusing being made Jungwon an interesting and alluring person. Although he changed his identity every month or so, his heart and kind nature never changed. He was your personal 911, under the phone for every small inconvenience or big downfall. You loved every part of him and would never trade the clumsy boy for anyone else.
Yunjin. She was outgoing and so talkative it was almost impossible not to fall asleep during one of her storytimes. In freshman year you told her to befriend the school's most envied girl, Miyoung. The moment you almost lost her to the shit person Miyoung was, you realized how much your friendship really meant to you. Yunjin was stubborn so it took you a lot of courage to confront her about the problem. She also pulled the swim team's captain, Jake . Most people envied her for the bond she shared with him, some wondered how these two people even got together in the first place. It was true. Yunjin was nothing like Jake, but maybe her true self was the reason she fit so well into the mold he gave her.
You all assumed the entirety of your small town was or is in this school. The people were welcoming and talked until their tongues went dry. You all internally agreed on making the most out of the time spent in school before going on with the miserable life this town was offering.
The only exception was Lee Heeseung.
He tried to make your life miserable even before graduating. One dirty look could make you shut off for the entirety of the next period on your time table. And if that wasn’t enough he’d try to ruin everything good you had left of that day. Sometimes he’d leave you alone, just to make you believe it was all over. Those days always felt like the rain before the storm. He was nothing but a full of himself asshole who rode off of academic success and school popularity. Girls admired him for his archery achievements and tall, sporty figure.
It was hard to tell exactly where it had all started, the competitiveness and hatred he shared towards you. How did sitting together at lunch, or attending his competitions turn into something so disastrous and sad.
Perhaps it was the track you both took up, and had to compete against each other in. Or maybe your final results that topped his. On the other hand it could've been the brief relationship between you and his best friend, Park Sunghoon. But you’d rather believe it's just pure jealousy. You were always better than him in everything except that pointless arrow shooting he cherished so much. No one performed as well as him in archery so maybe that was the reason he liked to rub it in your face every chance he got.
You got to know him from both sides, and sometimes you’d deny the fact you missed him before he got brainwashed by the meaningless highschool fame.
“It’s eight, right?” Heeseung asked, pen pointing towards the answer in the middle of all his scribbles.
His glasses were constantly sliding off his nose, as he used all the brain power left after the tiring school day to solve his algebra homework. The numbers started to look all the same, and he wondered if x was a number or the problem he had to solve.
“I got 4” you said and he sighed.
His head hung low as he scribbled over the answer once again. Heeseung’s eyes traced over the equation, looking for the moment he made a mistake. He looked disappointed, and you felt bad for being the smarter one at that moment. It’s not like you corrected him to boost your own ego.
“How do you do it? Why do you always get the right answer?”he asked quietly, embarrassed with himself.
You had wondered yourself. Why did you always have the right answer to everything and algebra equations? It came to you naturally, and you never thought of it as something others didn’t possess.
“Show me your paper, Heeseung, '' you asked politely. His wrought hand slid the paper towards you, avoiding any eye contact. “2608 divided by 652 isn’t 8”you pointed to the set of numbers.
He said nothing, just wrote down his final answer on the spot under the question on his work sheet.
A beat of silence came in the library, and you just noticed how quiet it has gotten. Usually the small whispers of other students caught your ear, but now it felt as if you two were the only ones in this modest room. Your eyes trace the study desks and contrary to your belief, all of them were packed with groups of students studying. Some were deeply focused on their literature assignments or chemistry homework, others rather spoil the learning process for the rest.
“I think I’ll just give up. This is pointless” Heeseung murmured, packing his things back into the emptiness of his backpack.
“If you give up now, later it’ll be even harder for you. We’re only in freshman year” you said, grabbing onto his hand.
It was cold, and you felt the feeling of failure radiate off of him.
“Heeseung, I believe in you, I promise. Let’s just finish this and I’ll reward you with some dinner after this. How does that sound?”you sounded like a mom, but he didn’t seem to care.
A smile briefly decorated his face, as he brought the black backpack back up to his chest to pull out the worksheet once again. He grabbed a pen from your pencil case without asking, and continued to focus on the next question.
“I think that sounds nice,” he answered in a moment of comforting silence.
The thought of that day brought you back to the memory of the Heeseung you learned to like.

“Oh c'mon I have no money!” Jungwon said cuddling up to Niki.
Niki’s lunch plate was full of delicious food and the most random items the school's cafeteria offered. He looked at Jungwon and just slapped his hand away, pushing a handful of chips into his mouth. To show off probably. Jungwon sighed and moved onto his next target.
“What about you Y/nnie? I’m so hungry, can you hear my stomach rumbling?” he questioned giving you puppy eyes. You just scoffed and slid your extra sandwich towards him.
He squealed in excitement, and took the smallest bite, savoring the treasure in his hands. Niki  just shook his head, and kept on eating what his plate gave him.
“I thought we agreed on sabotaging Jungwon every lunch?”he commented, and Jungwon glared at him confused.
“What do you mean by that?”he asked, concerned for himself, and his empty wallet that accompanied him to every lunch period.
“Where is Yunjin?” Niki asked, dogging the older boy's question.
Jungwon just sighed and finished whatever he had left of the sandwich in his hands.
“With Jake, I’m not sure,” you replied.
“They're probably making out under the bleachers again. I mean it’s summer time” Jungwon  said, wiping his fingers on the soft material of his pants.
Every summer time, Jake and Yunjin would be caught under the bleachers of the football field. They’d usually get detention, and continue it there. All of you saw it as their little tradition, as disgusting as it was. The bleachers reeked of the most disgusting smell, probably not being thoroughly washed since they were built.
Jake seemed like the typical player type, full of himself, and way too proud of his athletic achievements, but he was the complete opposite. He liked to hide away in the depths of the school, never interrupted class with the stupid jokes boys his kind made, and loved small gestures people directed towards him. Jake liked Yunjins company because she brought out the best in him. She brought him to heights he's never seen, and that is not in a sexual context only. People didn’t envy her for being with Jake, but rather for being the missing piece in his puzzle.
“We should go to the football game next week!” Jungwon asserted excitedly at the thought of Yunjins and Jake's tradition.
“Isn't that something straight people like doing?” Niki snorted.
He didn’t see anything special in seeing the boys of this highschool compete against some other highschool nearby. He had a point though, our school is going to lose either way.
“I thought you and Sunoo were friends?” you said,  remembering Kim Sunoo was a famous quarterback. He was tall, really attractive and actually looked decent on the field with all that gear.
Even you found yourself crushing on him in the beginning of sophomore year. He had a charming aura that you wanted to get to know better. It obviously didn’t work after he indirectly rejected you. Looking back at it now, you aren't sure what went through your mind.
“Well my friendship with him doesn’t mean I care enough to watch him throw a ball around” Niki shrugged.
It was hot and dry, the sun peeked through the large windows. It hit your back, warming you in a not so comfortable way.
“I could really get a cold water right now” you sighed and looked over to Niki who despite having an overflowing plate, didn’t possess any drink at all.
You regretted voicing your inner thoughts as the chair behind you jerked. It was like you could predict the future when Heeseung’s tall figure covered the boiling sun that spread through your back.
“You want something to drink, Y/nnie?” Heeseung said and you could feel his eyes burning a hole on the back of your head.
His arms extended to grab the Sprite off his table. Sunghoons hand stopped him.
“Leave her alone dude” he said calmly.
Jay and Sunghoon have grown tired of Heeseung’s childish antics. They knew he had absolutely no reason to keep on making you miserable. They’ve called him out on it countless times, but he doesn’t seem to care at all.
“And what if I don’t? You’re not her boyfriend anymore”he whispered and groped the drink in his hand.
He turned back to you smiling, your body was already facing his, a look on your face he knew well. It was you signalizing you knew what was coming. It’s not like he hasn’t pulled this ‘prank’ at least forty times this year.
“Back to you. What about a Sprite, hm?”he said with a sly smile.
“Can you just leave me alone, seriously?” you said, unfazed by his dominant act “You already spilled coffee on me last week, Heeseung”you added and he chuckled.
“Yeah I did, and it was fucking awesome” he said twirling the can in his hand.
You felt the fizzling liquid quickly move on from your freshly washed hair to your forehead and along the length of your shoulders. You felt sticky, and disgusting. Heeseung laughed, probably being the only one who found the incident funny.
The chair jerked once again, and Sunghoon stood up pushing Heeseung away from you. He took the tissues from the pocket in his jacket and handed them to you.
“You don’t have to help me, you know?” you said avoiding eye contact. Sunghoon shrugged.
“This is the least I can do to make up for having an annoying and childish friend”he mutters, but the admission alone was enough to calm your heart.
Your warm hand trembles slightly as you grab the tissues from him. You wiped whatever you could off your face, and put the wet hair into a messy ponytail. Words leap at the tip of your tongue as you hold back everything in you to keep yourself from wrestling Heeseung to the floor.
“I think we need to talk, Heeseung” you say and he calms his laughter down.
“For what? No need to waste anymore time on you today” he laughs and gives you that dumb face you hate.
You exhale yet another breath of annoyance “I don’t think you have anything better to do, if this is the peak of your day”
“I do, right Sunghoon?” he asks, hoping to get the answer he wanted but Sunghoon stays quiet, observing the scene before him. “Why do you still act the way you did when you two dated? Seriously, it’s so annoying” he huffed.
“Cause you’re being an asshole, Heeseung” Jay interjected, still seated by the trios usual table.
“And you’re being stuck up. What's wrong in having a little fun?” he sighed.
“You’re the only one having fun, Heeseung” you said, and he stared into your eyes.
He wasn’t fazed by your words or anyones in fact. He wanted the high ground in life so going under the influence of peoples opinion wasn’t even an option for him.
“I have to put myself first” he giggled, and you rolled your eyes at his stupid comment.
He was standing inches away from you, and you could swear the heat was radiating off of him. He smelled of Japanese cherry blossoms. You found that strange, expecting a man like him to wear the strongest cologne out there.
The truth was, Heeseung always went for a softer look. He had the whole package from the hair to the shoes. Maybe it was one of his tactics to stand out and showcase his individuality as best as he could.
“Can you just let this go? The whole act you have going on. It’s become old”you say, your voice monotone. He looks around the cafeteria.
“I don’t see anyone better to make fun of” he states, and grabs your hand “Consider that as a compliment” he adds, and smiles brightly.
No matter how much time has passed from the day you met to this moment, his sweet and charming smile never changed. It was made to mesmerize others, and sometimes you couldn't help but get excited.
Your hand jerks away from his “Fuck, just cut it out, please. Just let me have some fun with my friends before graduation” you plead.
Heeseung has never seen you actually beg him to stop. As much as an asshole he was, maybe you were right. He didn’t think about graduation until now.
Heeseung was scared to graduate and leave his school career behind. He knew whatever accomplishments he had in archery would give him nothing in return in college. He knew the adoration of younger girls wouldn't transcript to college. And he knew his friends wouldn't waddle after him. He knew he’d be alone again.
He stayed quiet. The only thing consoling the immediate silence in the small circle you made, was the chatter of other students placed around the cafeteria. Heeseung’s heart courses unsteady blood through the canyons of his uneasy stomach as he exhales a rocky breath.
“Whatever” he murmurs into the sunshine, leaving you and his friends behind as he walks out of the large lunch hall.
///
The school days became more steady and quiet. No clouds in the sky, and no interruptions during lunch. No dumb comments when you spoke in class, and certainly no cocky notes in your locker.
You didn’t see Sunghoon’s and Jay’s smiley faces waving at you anymore as you sat down at your usual lunch table with Niki, Jungwon and Yunjin, since they didn’t sit behind you anymore. At first you wondered why, but you just assumed it was a blessing from the god above. Not that you hated Sunghoon or Jay, you could never, it was more about the boy you despised.
Sunghoon and you used to date, and you knew he couldn’t get enough of the comments Heeseung made about it on a daily basis. He started using it as an insult, and scolding him everytime he tried to help you after one of Heeseung’s foolish pranks. The reality of your relationship was pretty sad. Cause not only is Heeseung using it as a taunt towards your now ex boyfriend, but he was the authentic reason for your breakup. He felt as if you stole his best-friend from him, so he made your lover choose between you or him.  The choice is probably obvious by now. I mean he had no certainty this love would last.
“It’s been pretty quiet without Heeseung coming around, hm?” Yunjin whispered, doodling hearts around her English worksheet. A smile perks up on her lips as she writes Jake's name in one of them.
“Well, finally”you reply shortly, focusing on the question before you. You twirl the pen between your fingers, as Yunjin chuckles softly.
“Weren’t you used to it by now? I mean isn’t it weird to not have him spill drinks on you anymore?” she nagged you once again, knocking you out of your trance.
“Who wouldn't be used to it? But I definitely do not miss having wet hair and clothes for the rest of the day”you smile, and write down one of the answers.
Of course you felt like something was missing, but you’d never actually admit it. You knew something was missing, but coming to the full realization of what that was, belittled you.
“Didn’t you ever like Heeseung? Like at some point you had to like him. Especially when you two were practically besties!”she exclaimed, and you had to hit her, afraid Jay might hear.
Jay sat next to Yeonjun, head in hands. You snook secretive glances at the boy, and he seemed just as confused as you were. He kept asking his deskmate for answers but from what it looked like, he didn't have them either.
“I don’t know, Yunjin. Maybe, but it surely wasn’t anything big. You know, Heeseung used to be pretty fucking cool back then”you smiled, your mind rushing back to the memory of freshman Heeseung.
“Niki was so jealous of him, I’ll never forget that” Yunjin giggled, and grabbed your pink highlighter to color in her heart dedicated to Jake.
She smiled as the heart filled with a bright pink color, fading her boyfriend's name a bit, but she made sure to correct it right after.
“Don’t you ever hang out with Heeseung? Especially since you spend so much time with Jake?” you asked curiously.
She chuckled and shook her head.
“We never hang out with a third person. We’d probably make them really uncomfortable,“ she answers, and you laugh along with her.
“Back to you, Jake told me Heeseung doesn’t even talk about you anymore. Can you believe that?” she huffed, as if it should have offended you.
You shrugged. The less embarrassing things Jake, Sunghoon or Jay knew about you, the better. But you wondered why he’d talk about you in the first place.
“He’s also been really secretive lately. They were supposed to go play some games at Jay’s, but he bailed out. Jake said he never does that '' she exclaimed dramatically.
“I really don’t care, Yunjin. Maybe he finally realized what a shit person he truly is” you explain, and she just laughs.
“I hope so too” she whispered a short response “Are you still coming to the game? I finally convinced Niki to come ‘see his friend throw a ball around’ ”she made air quotes, and you chuckled.
“Yeah, me and Jungwon wanted to go from the start anyways” you say, and she squeals excitedly.
///
“Can we sit here?” Sunghoon’s voice caught your attention, as he stood alongside Jay and Jake.
Yunjins face lit up at the boy standing in front of her “Yes!” she squealed, and clung onto Jake’s side “You never sit with me at lunch, baby” she murmured into his chest, and he giggled.
“She’s right, you guys never sit here. What happened to mood killer Heeseung?” Jungwon asked, and they shrugged, just as curious as him.
You looked around the cafeteria, but in fact a six foot, blue haired man was nowhere to be seen. You always wondered why he chose a hair color that could potentially make him look like an idiot amongst the towns people, but you couldn't lie and say it didn't fit him.
“He’s not here, and he’s not answering our calls, I think he’s skipping,” Sunghoon said tiredly.
“I heard he’s been ditching you guys quite often lately” Niki asserted sarcastically , picking at his lunch uninterested.
His parents cut off his money after he failed his math exam, so he no longer had the option to buy out the whole buffet. He was stuck with the disgusting, soggy food the school offered for free.
“Yeah, he has. I don’t want to offend anyone, but after the lunch incident it’s like something has changed in him,”Jay said, being a witness of the scene.
“Why would I be offended by all people, the more freedom, the better” you said, and Jay silently agreed with you.
Getting rid of the fear's tight grip, really washed a lot of other things off of you. It made you so much more comfortable and especially much cleaner, literally and practically. But his sudden ignorance and complete change in demeanor wasn’t all pluses, but maybe it was too early for you to realize that.
“Seriously I should've studied for that exam” Niki muttered, pushing his plate of soggy pasta away. He reached for his backpack but found nothing edible inside.
“What’s wrong with him? That pasta used to be the highlight of my day in freshman year” Jay hummed.
“There is something seriously wrong with you, man”Niki responded “That pasta tastes like battery acid, and maybe like the crumbs on my bed on a good day”
“You eat the crumbs you find in your bed?” Sunghoon asks, disgusted.
Another red flag Niki carried around with him.
“Yeah, you don’t? I thought everyone eats the crumbs in their bed” he said, and nobody agreed.
“First of all, I wash my bedsheets and don’t eat in my bed” Sunghoon said, and Niki scoffed.
“You’re seriously mentally ill, all of you actually. Bedsheets are supposed to be changed every two months or maybe every month if I feel generous”he educates them.
“Me and Y/n once slept over at your house, and I woke up with crumbs in my ass” Jungwon said, and Niki rolled his eyes.
“Could have slept on the floor then”Niki asserted, and sneaked one of Yunjins fries into his mouth. She was way too occupied with Jake to even notice or have any awareness of the people around her “Okay I think we should stop talking about my crumbs now, please”
“Trust me, no one wants to know about your disgusting ass habits,” Jungwon sniggered.
Somehow you found yourself looking around the hall for that one familiar face, yet as good as your vision was, you couldn’t spot him anywhere. Why did you want to see him so bad?
“What about you, Y/n?” Jay asked, and you had no idea what the initial conversation was even about.
Jay had changed the subject, moving on from Niki a long time ago, but your mind was focused on something, or rather someone else.
“What?”
“I asked what you plan on doing after graduation” he smiled, and you pushed your focus back onto the group around you.
“I don’t know yet. I do want to go to college, a lot actually, but what for, I’m still trying to figure that out” you said quickly. Jay nodded understandingly.
“What about a boyfriend?” he smirked and nugged Sunghoon. He just rolled his eyes and moved away from the boy.
“I don't think I need one at the moment”you answered with a smile.
It went quiet as Jungwon's face changed drastically. He saw something others couldn't make out just yet.
“Speaking of boyfriends and girlfriends,, is that fucking Miyoung?”Jungwon exclaimed, and the mention of her name made Yunjin jump away from Jake’s arms.
“What are you talking about?”she said, her body trembling. Her heart began racing as Jungwon pointed to the entry door.
You didn’t want to look, suspecting the outcome.
“So that's where he went,”Sunghoon laughed, and before he could call them over, Niki stopped him. Sunghoon quickly realized, and gave up on that idea.
“No way he actually started dating Miyoung, isn’t she like a total bitch” Jay said, directing his words towards Yunjin.
“She is the most awful person I’ve ever met,” Yunjin said, her gaze still glued to the couple.
“Well that explains why Heeseung’s dating her now,” Jungwon chuckled.
There was the confirmation you didn’t necessarily want.
Heeseung and Miyoung are dating now.
“So that’s why he doesn’t bother you anymore! He doesn't want to make his girlfriend jealous” Jay exclaimed, you just laughed quietly, and tried to completely cut out your friend's words with the company of your own phone.
“This has got to be a serious one if he gave up on teasing Y/n” Sunghoon said.
As much as it made you happy he left you alone, the reason behind it did not fire up that same emotion in you. But you could not stop life from moving onwards, and if this is what makes him satisfied then so be it, right?
“Why did you stop being friends with her anyways, Yunjin?”
“I can’t, me and Miyoung are going to the movies” Yunjin said excitedly, but you couldn't quite return her feeling.
Once again, you were being ditched for Miyoung, and it felt pretty fucking shit. It felt as if Yunjin was drifting away from you for some new girl she barely knew. But you couldn’t stop her, she was your best friend and her happiness was your priority.
So when Yunjin and Miyoung were enjoying the movies you and she loved, Heeseung was by your side. He listened, and helped you cope with the pain of being replaced. You remember him holding your hand so tightly, telling you how much you mean to many people, and to never doubt Yunjins platonic love for you. It was a new thing for you and him. You were usually at each other's side when exams came, and when he competed for the gold medal, but never when a crisis striked.
You wondered why he did it. Did he just feel bad for you and didn’t want to make you more miserable when you came to him?
Miyoung was your complete opposite, she was more like Yunjin. That’s why they connected so fast. You envied their friendship despite the fact you were still considered Yunjins best friend.
When Heeseung heard all about Miyoung, he couldn't hold back the shit he had to say about her. Every bad thing he recognized within her, from him, sounded fifty times worse. It was his way of helping you realize Yunjin will grasp that soon enough too.
And he was right. Miyoung had nothing but bad intentions towards Yunjin.
Maybe seeing him all over Miyoung hurt ten times more  because he was there for you when no one else was. He was there when his now girlfriend wanted to tear your friendship apart.
///
“You’ve been acting really off recently” Jay commented, while you two accompanied each other on the walk back home.
Jay lived in the same apartment complex as you, but you never cared enough to notice him. Usually it was only you and Niki ignoring the rest of your neighbors.
“I think it’s just your imagination, Jay '' you laughed, and took another bite out of Jay's candy bar.
He made a sad and offended face when half of his chocolate bar was gone.
“No seriously, even Jungwon noticed, and I trust him”he said.
“You and Jungwon really hit it off, hm?”you asked, trying to bring the spotlight off of you.
You guessed it worked when Jay's face lit up “Yeah, we did! He actually seems to like spending time with me”
“We all love spending time with you and everyone else, Jay” you smiled brightly, and he laughed.
It was true. Ever since Heeseung completely cut them off for his girlfriend's company, your friend group adopted them. Yunjin couldn't be more happy now that she got to spend every second of her day with Jake. And you felt happy cause they gave you the little unreal pieces of Heeseung you found yourself missing.
Seeing him with Miyoung, turned something upside down in you. It didn’t let you function properly and it felt like you've hit rock bottom. You couldn't help but wonder, why her? Although anybody else wouldn't make the growing feeling in your stomach any better. It was still a new thing to you, and you couldn't quite put into words what it was.
“Do you miss Heeseung? Or at least the person he used to be?”you asked, and Jay wasn’t expecting you to be the one to initiate a conversation about Heeseung.
“Well obviously. We still talk, but it isn't the same at all. I really want to go back to the day when it all went downhill, maybe I could've done something,”he answered with a fabricated confidence.
“Don’t blame yourself for something you can't control,” you said, holding his hand. It was a habit you picked up from the one and only Heeseung himself. “For the short time I knew Heeseung, he’s just like that. You never know what's coming until it's already done”
“Short time? You and him were constantly talking in freshman, I’m really shocked you didn't catch feelings for him back then”he laughed.
Feelings. Now you realize that maybe after all you did like Heeseung. It came to you after you found yourself reminiscing on the memories you shared. He used to mean a lot to you, and when he started changing his demeanor towards you, it wasn't easy to let go. You tried to fix it but you didn't have any tools. You just had to buy a replacement, but there weren't any others like him in stock. That’s why you started dating Sunghoon, because he was the closest you could've gotten to Heeseung.
“I don't think I catch feelings that easily,”you laughed.
Lie.
You lay in your bed helplessly, the sheets clinging onto your sweaty body. Your room elopes you in a constant darkness, and the wind blows softly through your open window. You can’t focus on anything, your heartbeat picking up at every sharp inhale.
Your mind was racing from one thing to another, but someone who stayed consistently flooding your brain was Heeseung. Because you have finally come to the realization this was never about Miyoung or the childish pranks, it was about him.
It was an untypical connection you longed to study.
///
“I know what's going on so you either say it yourself, or I’ll just be blunt about it right now”  Niki said through the speaker of your phone as you kept on straining from the real purpose of the call.
You trusted Niki, but this is something bigger than the time you told him about Sunoo. Back then the only thing you two could do about it was laugh and make up fake scenarios with you as the main character.
“If we both know then why talk about it? It doesn't matter anyway” you murmured, fiddling with the settings of your fan.
“Because I want to help you, and if you don’t tell me the full thing I have nothing to stand on” he explained, and you sighed.
On one hand, you wanted to hear Nikis advice, but would that really help? Would any of this really help your already fucked up situation?
“I don’t even know where to start, Niki” you said and he let out a sound of understandment.
“Just tell me everything, don’t hold back. You can trust me with this” he told you after a brief moment of silence.
You stayed quiet, attempting to process everything through. The admission alone was hard enough, but spilling out the truth to one of your bestfriends was the real challenge.
“Niki, I’m not sure myself, if what I feel is real. I’m wondering if any of this is real” you started softly, and he kept quiet signalizing for you to continue.  “I want to have him all for myself, and I know it’s selfish, but what can I do anyways”
“Do you seriously want this?” he asked.
“I don’t know Niki, I don’t know anything just yet” you responded.
“I think it’s okay to not have answers,” he assured.
There was nothing that could help your blossoming feelings for Heeseung. Even after he embarrassed you on multiple occasions you couldn't do anything but fall deeper in love with him. Maybe it’s because you still had the feeling his freshman self was still somewhere inside of him under the pile of shit he’s been consuming lately.
“Okay” you mutter. “Just be realistic with me” you ask of him, and he nods understandingly.
“I would never lie to you, Y/n” he whispers “Just follow your gut, okay? I know that may be hard, but if you actually want to try, do it. There's nothing to lose here anyways” he says.
You nod, unable to say anything. It’s weird, the feeling you're experiencing. It leaves you uneasy, the thought of your current situation. You’re unsure of anything going on.
“I want you to be nothing but happy, if it's with him, or anyone else, but sometimes things don't go the way we want them to because we don't trust ourselves” he adds, noticing you've been awfully quiet.
“I don’t want to embarrass myself again, Niki '' you mutter.
What were you thinking, seriously? Heeseung was the unreachable boy, only the prettiest girls of this school could have. Miyoung was one of them, drop dead gorgeous, skinny with porcelain skin. You didn’t see those features in yourself, but maybe it was just your insecurities getting the best of you.
“You can’t embarrass yourself if you don't even try. Even if you do, what's wrong with that? You know you have us, we’ll never make fun of you” he assured with a soft smile.
“Is it even worth it? I mean I don't have any assurance this would last if anything. What if we just went back to hating each other, and I’m left all alone again” you ask, and he shakes his head.
He gets closer to the camera, head in hands. “Just because of what happened with Sunghoon, doesn't mean you have to kill any hope you have of a relationship with others.  That's not how it works” he tells you softly. “Just trust yourself, and the process, okay?”
///
You had a goal.
Win Heeseung back by graduation.
You always considered  yourself to be a competitive person, not exactly in the right field, but competitiveness always lingered somewhere in your gut. And that’s exactly why you would do anything to feel his touch again.
It didn't take you long to realize you took his teasing for granted. Your mind was begging for him to leave you alone, but your heart perhaps liked the constant attention, and the fact he’d think about you more than anyone. It was stupid, but what could you do? It was hard not to miss the not-so sweet nicknames he’d give you. It was hard not to miss his dumb pranks and sweet laughter.
How were you going to reach your goal? You didn’t exactly know. You just decided to follow your gut, just as Niki said days before. Maybe you were reaching too far, but what's wrong in admiring the stars?
“Sunoo said the team has been actually working hard this month. I’m starting to gain hope in our schools first win” Niki said, clicking away at the Superstar SM on his phone “Fuck, I lost” he groaned.
“Only the best can do Kick It on hard mode” Jay shrugged, receiving a death stare from Niki, who loaded up the song again.
“I don’t think you should get your hopes up too high, Niki. Sunoo said that last time, and guess what? They lost” Sunghoon murmured, copying Jake's chemistry notes.
You silently agreed with Sunghoon. The only reason you all tagged along for the game was the free food your school was giving out on match day. It was probably their way of compensating for the awful game our football team was about to present to us.
“You’re seriously so bad at this, '' Jay laughed, and pulled out his own phone when he saw  Niki lose once again.
“Don’t be a show off, I’m just having a bad day. Look, I literally have two stars on Cherry Bomb” he shoved the phone into Jays face.
“Stop being annoying, Niki” Jungwon commented, and the boy looked like he was about to kill him.
“It’s not my fault, he started it!” he said, offended.
“I just got an S level Doyoung!” Jay squealed.
“No way, you’re such a liar, '' Niki said, sliding over to Jay's side.
While the two boys were preoccupied with the beloved game, and Jake was busy keeping Yunjin her special company, Sunghoon and Jungwon were copying Jay's notes, you couldn't stop looking over at Heeseungs table. He seemed to find himself new friends amongst Miyoungs circle. He sat there laughing with Kwangsun and Taehyun, keeping his arm around Miyoung.
Kwangsun and Taehyun were Jakes teammates so you knew them very well. Not only were they the worst on the swimming team, they also had the worst personality. Talking to them was like talking to a wall, they lacked any sense of humor and interest in the world around them. You wondered how Heeseung was talking to them so comfortably. Probably because they weren't responding so it didn't even matter what he said.
“How are you feeling? Everything alright?” Sunghoon asked, keeping his eyes on the notebook. He didn’t look at what he was writing down, just blindly copied Jay's work.
“I’m okay? Why are you even asking?” you answer with a question.
He laughs, and drops the pen. Jungwon takes the opportunity, and slides the notebook closer to himself.
“You’ve been awfully quiet, you know?” he states softly.
“You shouldn't worry about me, Sunghoon. I see you have a lot more to copy, seriously do it before lunch ends” you say trying to change the subject.
Was Sunghoon suspecting something? Did he know something you didn’t? It was hard to tell, and that was making you even more stressed than you already were.
“I’m your friend, I worry about you, Y/n. But i respect it if you don’t want to talk about it now” he smiles and picks up his blue pen “Give that book back” he groans, and slides the book back over to the middle.
“This is unfair, I can barely see what's written there!” Jungwon fights, but the boy next to him just shrugs.
Were your friends catching on? Were you really that obvious?
“Life is still going on, three rainbow stars, beat that” Jay exclaimed, a cocky tone to his voice.
Life is still going on, right.
///
“I’ve been waiting for this for so long!” Niki exclaimed happily, as his eyes scanned the buffet in front of the football field's bleachers. He looked like he was ready to stuff his face any moment now.
“Don’t get too excited, we might not be able to pack you into my car after this” Jay said, taking a sip of his drink.
“Very funny, Jayshit. Let a man enjoy his food” Niki responded, grabbing the first pastry in sight. “Sunoo claimed some really good seats for us, by the way” he added bluntly.
“Maybe you really are useful sometimes, Niki,” Jake said, and got a middle finger in return.
“I remember last time we got some nosebleeds,” Jungwon said, helping Niki sneak half of the buffet into his backpack.
“This is why I am always useful,” Niki said, smiling at Jake.
“That makes no sense, if you were useful you’d get the good seats too last game” Jake asserted.
“Shut up, Jake. Don’t you have a girlfriend to take care of?” Niki rolled his eyes.
You chuckled at his child-like behavior, and grabbed Jay’s drink to take a sip yourself.
“What's up with you and always stealing my shit, get some yourself” Jay said, and jerked the drink away from you. You laugh, and smile at him.
You look around for any familiar faces, but it seems as if no one has arrived yet. That's what you get for being two hours early, just because Niki can't miss out on the strawberry donuts.
“Isn’t that Miyoung, and Heeseung? I  thought he hated football” Jake chuckles.
They're here too? It can't get worse can it?
“Miyoung likes it. Her brother is on the team” Yunjin says, and Jake nods.
You drop your head to the ground, and start playing with the strings of your hoodie. Maybe if you don’t say anything you’ll sulking will go unnoticed.
“He hasn’t talked to us for a good two weeks. He really is down bad” Sunghoon comments.
“Do you think Miyoung forbade him from talking to us?” Jay asked, hoping for Yunjin to answer, since her brief friendship with the girl might allow her to know.
“She usually does when she doesn't like her partner's friends” Yunjin fulfilled Jay's wish.
“Why so? Especially since I have probably never talked to her” Sunghoon said, a confused look spread on his face.
“I wish I knew that one,” Yunjin said.
Seeing Heeseung with her was different for you this time. It's like something turned inside of  you. Maybe it was because of the fact he loves her enough to sit through a game he hates with his whole soul and heart. You wonder if he’d do the same for you.
The scenery was beautiful. The sound of soft chatter and the summer breeze swayed through your features. The sun hid behind the clouds, the only source of light being the large lamps placed around the field. It was the perfect highschool cliche, but your mind was constantly at war with the bound feelings. It never left you alone. Before you fell asleep, while you ate breakfast, while you showered or brushed your teeth. He always flooded your brain.
“I think I’ll get in a quick bathroom stop before this mess starts” you smile, and get up from your seat next to Jungwon.
“You want me to go with you?” Yunjin asks, averting her gaze from Jake to you.
“Sorry, I don’t really feel like making you hear me pee, I’ll be back soon” you smile, and Yunjin just giggles, setting her head back on Jake’s soft shoulder.
You can’t look at her being happy with him anymore. It makes you want to throw up.
The gentle sound of the latest pop hits poured from the speakers mounted in every corner of the school building as you made your way to the restroom, feeling helpless. Various students hastily made their way to the field.
Yeah, sure, you did hate him. But one look at said enemy, all those words could be shoved out the window.
The air felt so heavy, as you sat on the sinks marble. No matter how hard you searched, there still was no answer. There was no escape and you’ve already lost any control of yourself. You were going insane each sleepless night thinking about him.
You looked into the mirror's reflection and didn’t recognize yourself anymore. Have you changed out of your own pure will, or was it because maybe you weren’t enough for Heeseung when he left. Was it the way you looked, acted or was it any of your other flaws? There’s no answer.
You completely lost track of time, but nobody seemed to be looking for you anyways.
A quiet sound echoed through the bathroom. You didn't even bother to look, expecting Yunjins voice to hit your ears anytime now.
“Do you know how much I hate you?” a so familiar voice reaches your ear.
It still hasn’t hit you. The same person you were bawling your eyes out over, was so close to your helpless figure, yet the calmness of your heart didn’t let the feeling sink in just yet. It was probably the years of Heeseung’s torment that made you believe he was here only to return to his old antics.
You can’t bear to look at him. It’ll just go full circle, and explode, really.
“No” you respond, still avoiding eye contact.
“Words can’t describe” he says, and you can feel him smile. “I go fucking insane whenever I think of you” he added breathily.
You shiver at the harshness in his voice. You didn’t remember it being so coarse.
“Don’t do this, Heeseung” your voice shakes.
“Look at me,” he whispers, and harshly lifts your chin up to make you eye to eye with him.
A long drawn-out sigh from the bottom of his chest leaves him. He slowly lowered his head, and immediately froze in position; making the closeness between you much more intimate. The air around you felt warmer as his eyes pierced through you, studying every detail of your face.
“I’ll show you just how much I hate you” he finally speaks,
Any thoughts you had before Heeseung stepped into the pity party you were hosting in the bathroom, flew right out as his lips smashed into your soft and delicate ones. Your heart heaves uneasily, as you give into the feeling of him against you.
The kiss is lustfull, full of anger he had stored up ever since you went separate ways. He didn’t hold back, his tongue relentlessly prying your mouth open until you gave into his action. The lack of oxygen pulled you apart, your mouth still open from the initial shock.
Yet his lips felt like a magnet; pulling you closer and closer, un-allowing any resistance. You couldn’t stop yourself, leaning over again, wanting to feel his soft lips once again. There really was no turning back.
“Could Sunghoon make you feel this good?” he asked breathlessly, as his lips planted softs kisses on your jawline.
“No” you breathe out, and he smiles.
“That’s what I thought” he smirked, caressing your warm cheek.
Even the mere thought of you and Sunghoon made him burn inside. He liked having you all to himself. Sharing was never an option.
It suddenly hit you.
“Heeseung, why are you doing this?” you asked, backing away from the boy, throwing his hands off your face, feeling a sudden disconnection between the two of you.
“You know how obsessed I am with you?” he whispered, maintaining eye contact. “You remember when you asked me to leave you alone, because you wanted to have just a little bit of fun before graduation?”
You nodded, not knowing exactly what this was about. Hearing all the sweet, yet concerning things that came out of his mouth, made you want to forgive him right there and then without any good explanation to the years of hell he gave you.
“It made me realize, you know, maybe I wanted you more than I thought I did” he finished and although he tried to maintain a dominant act, you could still see his sly smile peek through.
You couldn't give into him that fast.
“Oh so you decided to start dating Miyoung? Makes so much sense Lee Heeseung” you scoffed, trying to intimidate him at least a little bit.
It obviously didn’t work because Heeseung seemed to be unfazed by your words.
“Feelings get caught up in the mind” he said calmly “But loving you long makes it feel a little better”
Whatever he was trying to say didn’t matter, because really you didn’t care. You weren’t gonna lose the opportunity you’ve been manifesting ever since he left.
“Promise this is the last time you pull this type of shit?” you ask after a minute of silence.
Heeseung lets out an airy laugh and smiles. He lifts up his pinky finger, and intertwines it with yours.
“Promise”
Heeseung really wasn’t that tough after all.
///
Heeseung can’t exactly go back to the moment he started to fall in love with you. Maybe it was the day you helped him with his math homework, or maybe the time you cheered him on while he competed in the archery finals.
But he knows exactly when he realized it.
“You promise you won’t tell him, right?” you ask, smiling.
The two of you sat at the back of the library for your weekly study session. You’ve been giving him hints of a recent love interest, and as an unusually curious man he wanted to know more.
“Who's he, just tell me! And I know him, interesting” he laughs.
“It’s Sunghoon. Yes, your best friend Park Sunghoon” you announce and he feels his heart drop. He hoped you’d take him by surprise, and let the words, ‘You Heeseung, it’s you whom I like’ leave your lips. But it was Sunghoon.
Fucking Sunghoon.
Of course, he wouldn’t let this ruin his friendship with Sunghoon. He was sure his friend didn’t even like you back, and soon enough he could be helping you get up after the heartbreak.
But what he didn’t expect was for you two to actually start dating.
At first he held all his anger in, trying his best to avoid any contact with you. Soon it turned into ignorance, and he found himself completely overlooking you. He thought of it as the better way out. When it got to the point he couldn't look past anymore, he made Sunghoon choose, knowing what would be the result of it. Sunghoon chose him, but you submitted to the feeling of hatred.
///
Now, after all this time, Heeseung could watch you bicker with your friends over the tiniest things with his own eyes. He could finally sit down at your usual spot in the library and receive the most prized tutoring from you once again. He could watch you accept your diploma, and run back to him with the biggest smile on your face.
Expressing love for you was different. Years of uncountable pranks, and hateful messages were all just the sweet feeling in disguise.

becoming jake sully's mate
Tumblr media
pairing: jake sully x fem!reader
warnings: nothing but fluff and longing from both sides
Tumblr media
you had already been a botanist and biologist and had a slowly developed friendship with mo’at there when jake first arrived. you had a hand in creating grace’s school and had sadly watched it fail after the incident with mo’at’s daughter sylwanin. you felt awful about it and always resented the rda for ruining something that could’ve been good for both the sky people and the na’vi. thankfully, you and mo’at still retained a respectful relationship, although now it was a lot more strained since you, like the rda that killed her daughter, were human.
when coming back from another plant research journey, you meet jake right after grace was done snapping at him and stalking off to talk to the higher ups about him replacing tom sully. knowing how grace can be, you offered a more pleasant and warmer welcome as you had no issue with the other sully brother.
“i wouldn’t let what she says get to you. somewhere in that icicle heart in her there’s a heater. i managed to only crack it just a bit.” you joked.
“jake sully, this is dr. y/n l/n. one of our best biologists here.”
jake nodded toward her and offered you his hand which you shook it happily. he gestured toward your hair, “i like the hair color. very bright.”
you had nearly forgotten your terrible dye job which unfortunately turned it into a fiery orange. you remembered grace laughing at you for hours when she first saw it. “yeah, i keep forgetting to shave it all off.”
“don’t. i think it’ pretty cool.” jake grinned.
you smiled back, “thanks, sully. welcome to pandora. hope you enjoy your stay.”
“i think i will.” he gave you a charming smirk in return.
it was one of those moments you realized you had a crush on him.
and it was way too fast for your liking. it was stupid how fast you had fallen for his boyish charm, his sarcastic nature especially around grace.
you didn’t have anyone really. your parents were dead, you had no siblings. all you had was grace and mo’at, who only reluctantly kept you around despite her dislike for humans. and now jake could be added to that.
he was a lot more outgoing then you were while you always kept to yourself most of the time, studying plants. that was your safe haven.
one day you found yourself at the avatar compound having a discussion with grace about some of the trees you had been studying that day when jake comes barreling through the compound, in his new avatar form.
jake had spotted you first and grinned, “hey, cheetos! check this out!” he was jumping around in his new body excitedly. “crazy isn’t it?”
despite you wanting to grin back, you couldn’t help but raise your brow, “cheetos? wait do you mean—that’s not gonna be a new thing sully—”
“already is, cheetos.” grace smirked playfully, standing over you in her avatar body. “s’not as good as carrots! colonel came up with that one.”
“fuck him.” you roll your eyes while jake continued to laugh. you tried hiding your face as it grew warm. it’s a good thing your face was dark enough for people not to notice the blushing.
when jake got lost in the jungle and met the omaticaya clan, surprisingly enough you were one of the first people he told.
“what you did was reckless, skxawng. but somehow your ass is lucky, i don’t know how, but i’m impressed.” you sighed sitting at the table as he rolled up next to it.
jake looked at you with furrowed brows, “skxawng? that’s what the female na’vi called me. the one i met.”
you cringed, “ah right, sorry, i’m too used to the language here, sometimes it slips out.”
“no, no, it’s fine. maybe you can teach me.”
you try not to smile, “maybe.”
“at least tell me what that word means.”
“uh, i don’t think you want to know.”
jake narrowed his eyes playfully but let it go for now, “next time you should bring your avatar and come out with me.”
you tried ignoring the fluttering in your chest. a delusional part of you thought he really wanted to spend time with you. while the other more rational and professional part of you knew it was probably so she could help him understand the species more.
“maybe another time. i can’t get too distracted.”
you neve realized then how closely jake always watched you. when you weren’t looking or even when you were having a simple conversation. somehow you always missed the certain fondness and affection. and he certainly wasn’t good at hiding it. “nothin’ wrong with distractions.”
again, you smiled stupidly, “just find me some plants while you’re out there.”
jake nodded instantly, “will do.”
you ignored the fluttering again. because the next time you met up again, your mind would be clear when you learned that he was going to be the colonel’s spy and gain information from the people. grace was on board with it of course, always trying to search for the diplomatic way. but you hated every bit of it.
this was the first time jake had ever seen you mad and it especially startled him when it was directed at him. he was so used to your smile, your lighthearted and soft spoken personality. he never expected a woman to get so angry at him so fast. new record.
“tell me what other way there is to get out of this peacefully! i’m all ears, y/n!”
“how about not forcing them to give us their resources! this isn’t our world! we don’t have a fucking right to any of it!”
“we’re trying to maintain the peace here, y/n.” grace added. “if we don’t do this, then you know what the rda is going to do.”
“and you think lying to them will make it any better?!” you fumed hotly.
“not if they don’t find out.” jake reasoned.
now you were beyond angry. so angry you couldn’t even get anymore words out without wanting to scream even more at the both of them.
“you know what, do what you want. i want no part of it.” you hissed before storming out of the room.
it hurt because you loved the na’vi people. it hurt because jake was going to be in on it and possibly cause harm to them. it jut because you actually thought…
no. why else was he here? why else did he take his brother’s place? at the end of the day he was just like the rest of them.
it had been a week since jake had seen you and started becoming one of the people. jake had decided then that he didn’t like you being mad at him and he would do whatever he could to have you smile at him again.
so when he had time to sneak away from the training, in his avatar body, he found your lab deep within the forest. he had gotten a flower that he was sure you would like and brought it to you at your lab.
you were shocked to see him to say the least. but still pissed at him.
“i don’t want you to be angry.” he’d say while looking down at you. there was a heavy look across his face that you couldn’t interpret. but at the time you didn’t care much for it.
you took the flower, “a flower won’t fix it, jake.”
“what can i do to fix it, y/n? just tell me and i’ll do it.”
you didn’t understand why he was persistent, or why he even cared about what you thought at all.
“you know what i want, jake.”
another look crossed his face. and what if i can’t give it to you? i want this to end just as peacefully as you want it to.”
“i don’t want this at all!” you snapped. “this isn’t right and you know it, jake!”
“i can convince them to relocate!”
“why should they be forced to move from their home because of an outsider’s greed?”
jake of course didn’t have an answer for that. he knew you were right, he knew they wouldn’t peacefully relocate. he just wanted to hold on, find a way. for them. for you. he wanted to make this right. he wanted...
he wanted so many things he couldn’t have right now.
instead, he invites you to his ceremony.
“i want you to be there. please.”
you, despite how stubborn you wanted to be, ended up going. the flower he gave you was still clutched in your hand as you watched him become one of the people. but you studied the culture long enough to know what it meant. you knew long enough it meant that after this he would be able to choose a mate if he wanted to or not, depended on his so-called mission he was given by the colonel.
but your question was answered when you saw him go off with neytiri.
you knew he had made a choice.
when the rda attacked the forest, jake was panicked. for the omaticaya people and for you. he couldn’t find you anywhere. jake wouldn’t know what to do if something had happened to you in all of this mess. and things got even worse when he revealed to the clan that he had known about the attack and they had him tied up next to grace. more destruction came. the hometree was destroyed and he still has yet to find you.
then he got pulled out of his avatar and arrested for treason. for the short time in the cell, he couldn’t stop thinking about you, worrying about you. you were still out there while they were here. you could be gone by now and he wouldn’t even know.
you had been in your lab when the attack on pandora happened. you rushed out of your small lab to take in all of the damage with tearful eyes. you had never hated the rda so much until then. seeing the na’vi die, seeing the nature being destroyed by missiles. it made your heart burn.
mo’at had found you and brought you back to the tree of souls with all the other surviving omaticaya people. you, of course were worried for jake, especially when you hadn’t seen him among the surviving people. you even asked neytiri where he was but she wouldn’t say, clearly too angered at the mere mention of his name. you put together that they must’ve found out about jake. and as much as you wanted to say “i told you so” whenever you saw him, you were still worried that he wouldn’t show up.
it wasn’t until jake had rode in on toruk did you feel immense relief and awe when you saw him. and because of the toruk he had rode on, the people knew he was now the toruk makto, and he had gained their trust once more.
but when he reveals that grace is hurt and that he needed their help, the relief was gone and instead replaced with more worry for your friend.
jake had come straight toward you after, asking if you were okay.
but instead you were rambling.
“what happened to grace? how bad is it?”
“y/n, are you okay?”
“is she dying? you wouldn’t be asking for help if it wasn’t bad, jake, how bad is it?!”
“y/n!” his larger hands cupped your face gently, making you focus on him. he was breathless, you realized. eyes staring at her desperately. “are you okay?”
shocked by this, all you did was respond quietly. “yes, i’m fine.”
mo’at attempted to transfer grace’s spirit to her avatar body permanently, but it was too late. you grieved quietly as jake gave his speech to the people about fighting back against the sky people. days go by and jake recruits many more tribes to join the fight. he had come back when you were back at the tree of souls, hoping to talk to grace’s spirit if she was listening.
he stood close at your side. the height difference between you two was ghastly but you had grown used to the na’vi towering over you. although it was different when it was jake.
“will you fight?” he asked you.
“of course.” you said without hesitation.
jake frowns, “do you have an avatar?”
“yes.”
“will you use it?”
“no.”
“then how can you say you will fight?”
you frown back at him, “it’s my decision, sully. i rather die as a human rather than someone i’m not meant to be.”
“but i do not want you to die.” he hissed, grasping your shoulders. the intense look had fallen on him once more. and this time it overwhelmed you. “if you will fight, fine. but promise me you won’t die, l/n. please.”
you didn’t make any promises but you said you would try. you knew that wasn’t enough for him and he knew he couldn’t stop you from defending the na’vi. because that was what you had always done from the beginning. and you weren’t going to stop now.
you didn’t see jake after that. instead you were alone. after stealing a ship, you had taken down at least two of the rda’s machines before your ship had been hit. right before you crashed, you used your gun to bring one final blow to the colonel’s, making his fall as well.
unfortunately, you were badly injured. and it didn’t look too good, especially when you crawled your way out of the ship and rested against the tree in your final moments. you never imagined dying alone and in the middle of a war. your parents were already long dead, you had no siblings, no children, no lover. regret couldn’t even describe what you felt in that moment.
mo’at had found you before you passed out. she held your face gently and whispered something in her language.
and she said something you never thought you’d ever hear.
“i see you, y/n.” she whispered to you quietly.
the chaos around you had gone silent when she had said those words to you. those familiar words that was only used between their people. and here she was, saying it to you like a mother would a daughter.
“your death will not be in vein.”
you shake your head weakly, “i don’t want to die yet.” but it seemed the world was only darkening as you spoke. it’s as if the more you talked the more energy you wasted. “j-just tell jake…”
“ssh, little one.” mo’at gently patted your head. “rest. he will be okay.”
that’s what you hoped. that’s what you wished.
and before you knew it, darkness enveloped you.
technically, you hadn’t expected to wake up. you hadn’t expected to good as new or have blue skin when you did.
and you certainly didn’t expect to see your dead human body next to you.
mo’at stood next you, saying you were now apart of the na’vi. after risking your life to save her people, she believed you deserved a second chance.
she had pulled you away to the celebration for winning the war. it wa strange being in a whole new body but you were glad. you were happy.
there was just one thing you wanted.
“where’s jake?”
mo’at raised her brows, “jakesully? he should be back soon from meeting.”
so you stayed next to mo’at for most of the day, learning the basics of what to expect now that you were na’vi.
jake had returned later that night and found your body at the tree of souls. he saw the blood, the loss of color in your face. you had been dead for a while. but under the tree of souls?
“y/n!” he called.
he went searching for you. it wasn’t until he reached the camp where the celebration was did he finally see you. the new you.
both your eyes locked. jake came to you first and pulled you in a tight and long hug.
“i told you not to die, skxawng.”
you grinned into his shoulder, ”ah, so you know what that means now.”
he frowned at you though the amused glint in his eyes wasn’t missed. “y/n.”
“next time i’ll pinky promise.”
knowing he couldn’t stay mad at you, he just pulls you into another hug. this one lasting longer than the other. he just couldn’t find himself letting you go any time soon.
a bit of time goes by. you train to officially become one of the people. then you arrived at your ceremony. you officially become a part of the na’vi.
after the ceremony, you go and ride off with jake and his new banshee to a private spot for just the two of you and have a lighthearted chat about how you both were excited for your new lives.
then the topic of mates comes up.
“have you chosen one?” you ask despite already knowing the answer.
jake nods, “yes.”
of course.
you try not to frown as you looked away and said halfheartedly, “it might take awhile to choose mine. tsu’tey doesn’t seem too bad. he could make a good mate just as neytiri is for you.”
suddenly his strong grip wrapped around your arm and pulled you closer to him, surprising you.
“i never said i wanted neytiri.” then he smirked amusingly, “nor did i say who it was.”
you pouted, “you’re being mean.”
he nestled his nose into your shoulder as he mumbled against your skin, “i’m still wondering if she would accept me.”
it could be too good to be true. you wanted to believe it.
almost as if jake read your mind, he cupped your face with his larger hands and pulled her face closer to his.
“will you have me? as yours?”
without hesitation you nod, “yes. i will have you if you choose to have me.”
he smiled then, “i wouldn’t have it any other way.”
then your lips touched. then your heart melted. then your skin was no longer cold.
he was yours. and you were his.

Thanks xoxo I’m glad you liked it
Ooh I could definitely add more to the kidnapper au if y’all want to!! Here’s a bit of a backstory drabble:)
Part 1 of 3
Wc: ~500
Warnings: nothing really, maybe a teeny tiny bit angsty.
Sigh
Recently fired from your waitress job, you’re slowly becoming short on money - and your landlord isn’t the sweetest guy per se. No other workplace accepts, some leaving sorry messages and others never answering. Maybe you had done something in your previous life to leave you in such a predicament, but it’s nothing you can help now. It starts with selling a few belongings, maybe your favourite mug which soon escalates to an instrument you’d saved up for for a long time, and when it ends in you selling the sofa you decide you’ve had enough. Another frustrated sigh leaves your lips, and you almost throw your phone against a wall, only stopping yourself because of the thought that the repair bill would be way more than you could handle. Around three months after your unemployment is the second time the landlord gives you the warning that he doesn’t like late payments, and by the fourth he’s telling you to get yourself together. As if it’s that easy. The universe isn’t on everyone’s side. By the fifth month, you only have your bed, a dumb vibrator - low on battery, and a few other things here and there.
“Get out as quick as possible, find yourself another place.” He crosses his arms, leaning on the doorframe and staring into your empty apartment from the tiny crack you’ve let out in your front door.
“P-please! I don’t have anywhere else to live. You need- have to understand.” You plead and plead on deaf ears. Words seemingly go in, and quickly get flicked out from the pinky roaming around his ear. He sighs and tells you to leave before two weeks, and closes the door on your face - almost catching your nose in the process.
For the first time in weeks the tears you’ve been holding back to convince yourself that you’re strong start to fall, and soon enough - you’re sobbing on the floor while leaning against your front door. Your eyes sting and the cries that fly out your mouth makes you cringe, pitying yourself even more. Salty tears catch on the corners of your lips and you wish you were anywhere but here. If only… if only. If only you were born a nepo baby, if only you had friends to depend on, if only you had your own Prince Charming to wipe your tears. After a while of sniffling you mutter a “whatever” to yourself, getting up from the fetal position to wash your face.
While washing up, you have a mental debate on whether to call an old friend of yours, and soon enough your phone beeps with each outgoing ring. “Hello?”
She sounds enthusiastic to talk to you after so long and sympathies with you. Explains that you absolutely can stay in the guest bedroom of her and her boyfriend's house until you get your life together again. It feels so long since you smiled, but at the moment - your cheeks hurt, because maybe everything isn’t against you after all. Thank you’s fly out your mouth every other second until you finally say your goodbyes. And well, maybe you could indulge yourself in something nice for once. You decide on a bar, before fixing your makeup and putting on your prettiest dress that you hadn’t the heart to sell.
That was your first mistake.

Don’t Cry: Part 1

I’ve been spelling his damn name wrong and I only realized when I read it in Hiragana and was like “cool cool, I gotta edit my other works of him now!”

Once you’d bathed, courtesy of the sweet little girls who aided you earlier, you were promptly put to bed in clean clothes. Your swordsman sitting beside the bed, staring off into space but it was having a human presence which comforted you. The small bed didn’t allow for more than one body, but inwardly you cringed at the urge to drag him into it with you despite how close you’d need to be with him. It might also be because you’d need to be so close. Confusion and embarrassment swirled within you, your mind racing despite your body beginning to give into fatigue. Your eyes were heavy, struggling to stay awake long enough to sort the complicated emotions waring inside of you.
“Giyuu…” your voice was a little hoarse as you whispered his name.
“Yes?” His head turned and looked over at you, demeanor relaxed and confident, his eyes speaking more words than his lips.
Are you alright? You imagined him wanting to ask, but he likely already knew the answer was no. You didn’t ask the multitude of questions you had, because now you weren’t sure you even truly wanted to know. Instead, you asked for something simple.
“Will you hold my hand?” and he watched as your own soft one slipped from beneath the blanket. His eyes were darker in the dimly lit room, cast over by the red glow of the lamp and making his gaze nearly like the bottom of the sea. Black. His skin even paler in contrast.
His hand gingerly moved before it enveloped yours. Larger, warmer, and much rougher than your own. It was like you could safely breathe again with the contact, your tense muscles and knotting insides loosening as you squeezed his hand. He gave one back, looking at you with a half lidded gaze, and for a moment you were struck with envy because how had you never noticed his lashes were so long and thick? He was prettier than he ought to be, but it certainly didn’t lessen the masculine appeal. You briefly remembered, before he’d become twisted and abducted you, a time you’d seen him like a friend. You were more outgoing than him, more willing to speak up and initiate, and in this subtle moment of stillness, you asked a question which seemed both probable and ridiculous.
“Do you like me?” it felt wrong to speak too loudly.
You carefully observed his impassive expression. Giyuu didn’t tell you much nor did his face show how he felt, but his actions were pages in a story itself. He told you through weeks of bringing your favorite foods to you. He told you through small gifts and trinkets. He told you through acts of service and time spent beside you. It just didn’t make any sense. You were certainly the most horrendous creature when he’d taken you prisoner, snide and cruel with your tongue and even cruder with your disdainful actions of dumping hard prepared meals to the ground and stomping them. He was patient though, and while the weeks of isolation occasionally drove you to the brink of madness, you realize it must’ve not been intentional if he’d left to perform his obligations to the people. His burden so heavy and lifted alone.
“Hn,” he nodded, a noise of affirmation which shocked you silly. You truly didn’t expect an actual answer. Possibly just a look, which would leave you micro-analyzing it until you could somewhat satisfy yourself with an answer which proved plausible.
“Why…?” This wasn’t a self deprecating question, you weren’t asking as if you didn’t know your own lovability, but because you never let yourself be as such. Even when you’d first met and the relationship was forming, you’d never left any question that you’d not been looking for a lover. Your actions and words keeping a firm divide between you and everyone else. Especially Giyuu.
So why? Why form the attachment? Why look closer? Why want?
Why save me…? But those words were left unspoken.
His grip tightened around your hand, not painfully, but enough that you realized you weren’t looking at him anymore. Your eyes focused on the edge of the bed. You glanced back up, into those vast pools you wondered if someday might drown you in the sorrow they held.
His lips parted, pausing for a moment, but his brows furrowed and he seemed to have to force the words out.
“Because it’s you,” he murmured, somber tone not letting you become irritated at his vague response, letting him finish instead. “It’s you who reached your hand out first… who was there for me even if you didn’t notice I was suffering…” you hung on every word like a hook to keep you tethered to world around you.
“It was you who told me to live.” His expression changed, looking much like the tragedy he sealed within those dark blue orbs, and it was filled with a kind of loathing.
“Even though I’m weak—,” you wanted to tell him he’s wrong, “-and the people closest to me died while I lived on,” it’s not your fault but the words died in your throat, “—you told me to live.” His eyes were harder, more convicted and less overflowing with the loathing you realized was towards himself.
You didn’t remember telling him such words, maybe it was when you’d found him injured, marks adorning him with what you now realized marked his path on an endless journey of pain and loneliness.
You’d go crazy too. You’d do reckless and self destructive things as well.
You weren’t sure where it came from, fear perhaps? A desperation to believe in him with finally enough evidence to convince yourself it’s not wrong? Whatever the case, carefully you lifted your torso up, the blanket falling off your shoulders as you used your grip on him as leverage to pull him close. Your free hand dug into the fabric of his clothes, clean despite a battle that shook your entire world, as you tugged until he relented and leaned close so you could kiss him.
You should feel wrong. You don’t.
His lips are thin but soft, and he’s pliant as you essentially manhandle him to lean completely over you. His elbows now braced on either side of you as you snake your arms around his neck and let the scary world fade away. You weren’t the sort to hide behind a man and cower, and tomorrow you’d put up a brave front despite the cowardice and fear that has beholden you, but for now you let him drape over you. His presence such a comfort you can’t seem to recall a time it hadn’t been. There was a time, but it wasn’t rising to ruin the moment.
Neither was Giyuu, who was albeit visibly startled, but obediently giving you control as you tested different pressure with your lips.
He seemed to finally find his bearing though, as he broke the kiss and pulled up just enough to connect your eyes again. He was flushed, cheeks warm as he shyly regarded you.
“Is this for comfort or…?” he was hesitant and a look of guilt perhaps flashed through his gaze, but it warmed you further and caused the itch in your chest to spread as you tightened your hold on him to prevent escape.
Not like he was making even the barest attempt.
“Because…” he looked at you with his full attention.
“Because it’s you…” and it was enough. His eyes widening a fraction before you leaned up again to kiss him, this time with more passion. Giyuu didn’t speak or express himself much, but his actions did. This time, your actions spoke, as your fingers moved up his neck and into his hair. He made a noise, deep in his throat, but you were too focused on the softness of his hair. The fluffy thick strands easily allowing you a grip as you gently tugged.
He kissed you back harder, and while it felt a bit awkward, you felt even more desperate to touch him. You’d heard hushed gossip before, the acts between lovers, and you experimented as you licked his bottom lip. The shiver which wracked his body not slipping from your notice as you did it again, and then nipped.
“You…” he sounded slightly breathless, but his narrowing gaze telling as you teased him. You were merciful, as you finally slipped your tongue into his willing mouth, and this time he moaned. The shiver went up your spine this time, the noises he made going straight to your core as your grip in his hair and around his neck increased fractionally. It was odd and sensational all at once. His tongue not as aggressive or dominant as yours but still responsive and eager as he kissed you back, his hands still perfectly where he left them.
It was you exploring him. Hands softly trailing down his back, before moving over his shoulders and chest, the hard plains of his body undeniable.
This was not cold and stoic Giyuu, cruelly leaving you all alone. This was warm and responsive Giyuu relinquishing to your desires as you eagerly arched your back to press closer to him even as a zap of pain shot up your ankle.
It was easy to ignore as your body heated up, fingers gripping and tugging as you pushed his haori off his shoulders.
He pulled back fully, having partially fallen out of his chair and onto you at this point, taking his haori off completely and setting it gently in the chair as he fully climbed above you to settle. Silent and balmy, his eyes without a single ripple in the sea they held in their depths. His black uniform, one which you realized matched everyone else’s, was rumpled and creased from your pulling at the fabric.
You let your hands wander, up his forearms, over his collarbone where his hair was spilling out of the tie he used to keep it back, and around his neck. He didn’t stop you or pull away, as you let his pulse beat beneath your hands and for a moment, you felt like you held his heart between your fingers.
“I hated you…” you confessed softly, and while you felt more than saw him flinch, he didn’t move or speak besides that.
“I thought you were crazy, cruel for taking me without permission and even crueler when you’d leave me alone for so long but…” your eyes flicked up to meet his, pooling with guilt and sadness. “Giyuu, do you think we could start over differently?” Your hands roamed the smooth skin of his neck up to to cup his jaw. His lips were set into a firm line, dark gaze serious as it locks with your own.
He seems to melt in your hands, his eyes nearly closing completely as he leans a little weight into you. He resembled a cat momentarily, those upturned eyes a bit sharper when not fully open.
“I would be grateful… to love you not so shamefully.” Your heart nearly stopped at such a confession.
He said love… not like.
Did you love him? It felt difficult to breathe, as you answered yourself easily.
No. You didn’t love him. In truth, there was a deeper part of you terrified of him, because he possessed strength and skills which rendered you pathetically at his mercy. If he were weaker, you’d have escaped him long ago. No, you didn’t love him, but when he let you do as you pleased with him… well, you certainly liked him like this. Pretty and obedient to what you wanted. Relaxed and languid like a juggle cat, silent and graceful but watching.
As you pressed yourself up against him, whispering in his ear your request, he didn’t hesitate with you. Gentle as always, he switched your positions, careful of your injured foot as he settled you atop of him. You got to look down on him now, the light shifting to brighten his features and ease the sharp lines and shadows which cast him in a dangerous atmosphere.
He looked… harmless like this. As if he hadn’t slaughtered a demon like one might swat a fly.
You knew logically you shouldn’t be doing this. As your hands move over his chest, more intent on removing clothing than anything else though. Deftly popping buttons and opening up his top, a smooth pale chest revealing itself to your eyes.
Your brain cried that you were simply touch starved, shocked and slightly traumatized from the events of the last day, and completely run by hormones and pent up frustration.
You were not thinking with your brain tonight though, not as your eyes drank in the sight of the beautiful male beneath you. His flushed skin, heavy breathing and somewhat shy gaze was enough to have you feeling ravenous.
“Sit up,” you murmur softly, pleased as he listens, letting you remove his top and push him back down, climbing a bit higher to return your lips to his. He’s littered in old scars, some more silvery and healed than others, his body refined by tightly corded muscles which had no give. He was harder than steel yet incredibly soft where he wasn’t marred by either training or demons. You kissed him deeper and with more meaning now, and as you cupped his cheek to turn his head, you delighted in the husky groan he released as you licked and sucked at his neck. His shiver leading you to an especially sensitive area, where you mercilessly left your mark.
As you sat back on him more fully, aware of the dull throb of your ankle and grateful for the extra medicine you’d been given, you take him in. He’s more covered in softly sucked bruises and little bite marks than scars anymore, unable to hide the reddened skin as he looks up at you patiently, docile gaze betrayed by the death grip he has on the bed sheet. Visibly struggling not to touch you too.
It wound you up tighter.
“You can’t touch me until I tell you to.” He hadn’t and likely would not even if you didn’t vocalize it, but he didn’t miss the teasing glint in your eyes. His smile indulgent and contagious as he nods, staying perfectly still as you loosen your robes and allow the top to slip away and reveal your upper body. Giyuu took a sharp intake of breath, lips parting as you allow him to take you in.
Less embarrassed by his reverent eyes.
“So pretty…” his praise further emboldened you, as you teased him further by touching yourself. Your hands dragging up your stomach and to your breasts, where you lightly rolled your nipples as they hardened. He wasn’t blinking. The once cool room becoming much, much warmer with you both radiating heat and unrepressed lust. You moved gently down his body, cautious with your own as you settled your center directly over his erection still covered by his pants.
“Ngh,” he huffs, his head digging into the pillow as you grind down, clothes and friction your ally as you murmur in pleasure.
“Feel good Giyuu?” You’d abandoned your teasing show in favor of chasing the ache building inside you. You could tease him later, maybe tie his wrists and see how confident you became as you made him beg for you, but you wanted more now.
“It does, you do,” he quickly affirmed, his eyes a bit hazy as they look up at you. Your image reflected almost like a mirror through his glassy eyes. He couldn’t help bucking up from beneath you, putting a little more pressure and it earned him the gift of hearing you moan.
The first trickles of pleasure addicting as he did it again.
“Stop.” He stilled, looking a bit startled and cautious before you smiled in reassurance. Although it wasn’t comfortable and your muscles were stiff and achy, you held your weight off of him so you could work at the tie keeping his pants up. “I’ll do it.” You assured as you caught his hand move to help out of the corner of your eye.
“Hn,” he quickly set his hand back where it was, though his punishing grip on the sheet returned.
You didn’t love him, but if he stayed like this beneath you, it wasn’t difficult to imagine such a day would come sooner rather than later.
Your previous interactions always wrong because you never took lead and it was painfully obvious now that he was waiting on that. The only lead he ever took was taking you, and the reason being your safety above all else was difficult to hate.
He took your nonverbal cue to lift his hips, letting you drag his opened pants down along with his undergarment.
His cock was just about as pretty as him you noted. Your body slightly trembling as your arousal spiked, hand confidently gripping him in your fist as he jolted and choked on a moan.
“Ah,” he grit his teeth, your grip not very tight but it was the sensitivity of his cock which heightened the sensation of having you touch him.
“So pretty Giyuu, am I hurting you?” Your tone nearly purred as he takes you in.
He didn’t say it out aloud. He didn’t say a lot of things out loud, but this was the most animated he’d ever seen you. Gaze hungry and full of want and it was directed at him. Your teasing smile and soft hands were all for him in this moment. He felt like he was floating, as you began a steady pump, plump little tongue darting out to wet your lips and he felt mildly shameful as a whine left him. The image in his mind filthy as he struggled to stay still like you’d told him. To not touch you even though you looked so soft and he was damned because he wanted to hold you close.
You’d never been so forward with him, and it solidified every action he took as right, because this felt too wonderful to be wrong.
He was sweating, struggling to think and if he wasn’t so good at controlling his breathing, he would’ve came already.
His lips quivered but his watery gaze would not look away as you slid your fingers up his cock, following the velvety skin and slight curve of it, and only dancing the tips over the head of his cock before falling down over a vein which had his muscles locking painfully to stay still.
His face was even redder holding the noises in.
“Do you like when I touch you Giyuu?” You whispered to him like lovers might exchange secrets.
He shook, stoic facade gone and replaced by a young man terribly desperate for more and entirely unsure how to get it.
“Hn, y-yes, but—,” he couldn’t speak and not let out the moans and loud puffs of air escaping his lungs. He truly couldn’t look away at you smeared his precum over his cock and used it as lubricant to better stroke him.
“But…?” You drawled, head tilted cutely and he was mildly baffled by how calm and steady you looked now. Like the roles were entirely reversed, and it set his heart pounding aggressively within the confines of his chest. He felt nervous but excited, because despite all else, your eyes were on him. Your hands were on him. You were quite literally on top of him. He couldn’t want for much else.
Your hand stopped moving, and he could care less of shame or embarrassment as he whined pathetically. He was nearly tearing holes into the mattress.
“Please,” he choked, nearly dying in relief when your hand once again moved only to stop again. His heels dug into the bed.
“Please what Giyuu? You need to use your words right now.” He felt this might’ve been revenge, for all the times he’d been unable to answer you in the past, but now if he didn’t answer then there were consequences. Like your hands not being on him.
Words seemed a lot easier when given an ultimatum.
“Please don’t stop touching my cock and please don’t stop touching me,” it was said in pure desperation and with such conviction it startled you. Your pretty eyes widening, and Giyuu felt flooded with emotion as you became even more vibrant above him. Your smile so lovely it would’ve dropped him to his knees if he were standing.
The smile he was always so desperate to protect and keep entirely to himself. He’d given up long ago on the notion of letting you go. He couldn’t. Not then and especially not now as you tightened your grip and began stoking him again.
He truly lost it when you lewdly spit down onto him, slicking his cock up further until an audible squelch filled the small medical room as you pumped him closer to his finish.
“Such a pretty cock, it really matches you Giyuu. Look, your face is as red as the tip,” he couldn’t stop himself.
“Please let me cum, I need—fuck, ah, please,” his scrunched up features lovely, and you couldn’t help tightening your grip as you grinned.
“Okay Giyuu, go ahead, make a mess.”
Your permission and actions had his hot cum flooding from the tip and coating your hand and himself. The raw pleasure leaving him shaking and lost as he moaned and panted, eyes widening almost panicked because your hand was still moving.
“—!, wait, please—,” he almost broke and touched you, to grip your wrist and remove it from him as the pleasure became borderline painful.
“No, you can come again.” The firm way you spoke made him squirm, gritting his teeth as his face twisted and he really did come again because it was too much. His hiss of pleasure and pain delirious as his eyes shut to block any further stimuli. He came less, but still his seed seeped out and over, you released his cock and watched a pearly bead slide slowly down his shaft as it lay against his abdomen now. Smearing his own release on his stomach.
His eyes were teary, tired, and so precious.
“You did so good,” your praise and sugary tone filled him with warmth.
His answer filled you similarly, “Thank you.” His voice a little hoarse. His gratitude open and honest as you leaned over him to kiss him again. Softer and sweeter than your earlier teasing and overstimulation.
You could feel him hardening again beneath you, twitching as you swirled your tongue languidly with his own, pulling back occasionally and adoring how quickly he followed.
It made your subconscious relax, to have this man submitting for you.
You didn’t touch him, instead carefully leaning on one arm and using the free one to untie your robes completely and let them slip off your waist. Leaving you as naked as him.
You didn’t let him look, too lost in exploring his mouth and breathing him in. His minty scent more muted after mixing with his sweat and making him have a deeper woodsy quality to it.
Your hand, still sticky with his cum, moved to lightly trace over your clit. The spark of pleasure sharper as you moaned into the kiss, Giyuu’s own groan following as he realized what you were doing.
He broke the kiss this time, but his face was so desperate and eager as he begged.
“Let me, please, I want to touch you too—,” you cut him off.
“No.” You smirked, loving how enthralled he looked as he watched you touch and tease yourself. You were already so wet, just from making him feel good and fall apart for you. The low wet noises of you running your fingers through your folds and testing a finger inside your hole clearly audible thanks to his good hearing. Watching was different though, as you stuffed yourself with two fingers, despite his own being wider and longer.
It took him a moment to realize which hand you used.
“Fuck,” he nearly snarled, face scrunched in a look of both agony and euphoria.
“Do you like seeing me use your cum to finger myself?” Your throat felt tight, the lewd act turning you on further as he seemed to struggle.
“You’re so beautiful, fuck, I need to touch you please,” he didn’t say aloud that he also wanted to cum inside you too. A small part of him nervous it’d drive you into denying him to further to make him beg more. “I want to feel you now, so use me…please,” your steady movements inside your pussy stopping as you considered his offer. An idea formed.
“Give me your hand,” you ordered, and his right was in your awaiting palm in an instant. You gripped his wrist, drawing his hand to your wet heat and smiling even as you moaned and shivered, his gaze too focused on your directions.
You let him slip in one finger, and then another, sighing into the stretch and rocking your hips forward.
“Can you stay still?” You asked.
He nodded, though most of his focus was elsewhere as he relished the feeling of your tight hot walls pulsing around his fingers and squeezing.
You less bounced and more rolled, letting his long fingers touch and reach where you previously could not, as your free hand moved to your clit. You moaned freely, not mindful in the least because your room was so far removed from the the rest of the mansion it hardly mattered. It felt so good, and when his fingers shifted just a little to curl more comfortably, they hit the perfect spot that had your toes curling on your uninjured foot. “Oh, Giyuu, don’t move,” you felt close, your own fingers playing with your clit and hastening your release.
You came hard, your head thrown back as your hips shook.
Giyuu’s hand was soaked in your release, fingers still obediently inside you and still as you came down from your high.
The pleasure slightly washed by pain, your ankle throbbing but you couldn’t bring yourself to stop. Not when everything felt right like this. Giyuu was similarly mesmerized, your figure above him riding through your orgasm and the way your cunt clamped and spasmed around his fingers making him even hotter. He wanted to feel that around his cock too.
“My love,” his saccharine words caught your focus, heavy eyes tiredly but kindly regarding him. That was everything to him, the festering wound in his heart from all your previous rejections seeming to heal with just that look. “May I…? Please, I want to be inside—ah,” you either took mercy or lost patience, not entirely sure. You wrapped a hand around his cock and easily lined yourself up, his blue eyes widening as you let yourself sink down.
Giyuu doesn’t have a cock which instills fear or disappointment. Though much thicker than than he is impressively long, he still stretched you almost painfully as you took him inside of you. You panted, taking each inch slowly as your sweat slid down the curve of your spine and cooled. Despite the pinch and mild initial discomfort, the image of Giyuu beneath you looking ruined made it all worth it. He seemed to be both suffering and ascending, muscles taunt and he finally did tear the sheet.
“Fuck so tight, ngh,” he nearly bit his tongue when his tip touched the farthest point inside of you, kissing your cervix gently. His voice pitched higher than normal, almost boyish in quality as he fought to keep his eyes open and on you. He didn’t want to look away, to miss the way your own face scrunched and struggled for a moment. Then you settled and stilled, gooey walls encasing his cock like a hot vice and driving him wild.
“Please please, I need—,” he would’ve given you his damn life if you asked for it at this point. When a few warm tears finally escaped their pools, you chuckled and reached out to wipe them away.
“Okay, you can—mm, you can touch me now.” It was nearly amusing how relieved he appeared. His normally impassive expression so far removed from this man now. He was extremely expressive it seemed, when he was being overwhelmed with pleasure.
His hands were tentative as they ghosted over your outer thighs, the clammy feel of his palms adorable when he finally used pressure to hold on to your hips.
He didn’t do anything further than let his hands slide over your skin, over your stomach and up to your breasts where he mimicked how you touched yourself earlier. It had you bearing down and making him moan and twitch beneath you. It felt better, the sensation of being so full no longer as alien as you tested with a roll of your hips.
It earned you both a shock of pleasure, your moan deeper than his own.
You did it again, before finally using what little strength you hand in your legs to lift and sink down onto him.
“You’re so deep Giyuu,” you still had energy to look victorious though. Pride sparkling on your face as you grinned, looking too cheeky and lovely for your own good.
You set a very slow rhythm, not out of choice but more because it was all you could offer. Giyuu didn’t seem to mind, his flushed cheeks and reddened eyes looking directly up at you as you moved. The sticky and warm wet mess coating you both from your releases making the glide smooth and painless.
It dried a bit on your inner thighs and cooled on his heavy balls as you moaned and used his chest as leverage to lean your weight onto him. Your shaky movements slowing further as you lost your breath. It felt amazing now, but frustration mounted the harder it seemed to become to chase your release. Your body too exhausted and weakened to contribute as you liked.
You shouldn’t have been as shocked as you were when he spoke. “Can I move too please my love?” He wasn’t looking for control, but to ease the furrow in your brow as you trembled from muscle failure. You nodded in relief, moaning happily as his hips shifted to hit even deeper and began to buck beneath you. He didn’t ground you further to him though, despite being tempted to do so. His hands on your hips shifted to lightly rest on your ass and no more. He still kept the languid pace you’d originally set, and you cried out as the tension inside of you grew higher. You did your best to move with him, expressing how pleased you were with small kisses across his chest and neck, moving to finally take his lips as one hand tangled in his hair again.
The light wet noises of your bodies moving echoed, the sloppy kiss you shared matching in intensity as you breathed and relished in his choked whines and gasps.
“You feel so good…” he murmured against your lips, cock twitching and aching to spill inside you, barely holding off release to feel you tighten and come apart too. “Please, I’m close, may I…?” His voice husky.
“Giyuu too, your cock is so warm and thick. Do you want to cum inside me?” He moaned, burying his face in your neck as you giggled and gasped when his tip hit a new spot inside you. “Oh yes, right there—,” you ground down to force him harder into the spongey area, his breathing getting deeper and more strained as he worked to move his cock in that spot exactly how you wanted it. “Fuck, love, I can’t— please let me cum,” he was close to crying again, really and truly ready to sob because it hurt to hold off.
“Harder, so good for me Giyuu, not yet—I’m close,” your praise made his head dizzy, but when you said you were close and finally did come, he nearly passed out because he forgot to breathe. Hot tears spilling again as he bit his lip hard enough to draw blood.
“Yes,” you moaned long and loud, “—go ahead and cum, that’s it, fill me up baby,” you weren’t sure where this side of you came from. Whether it was innate or because he seemed to crave it, it hardly mattered. You encouraged him as you came apart, feeling his cock twitch and pulse as he whined and let go at last.
White hot pleasure flooded you both, but you more literally as he came inside and his hips stuttered up into you even deeper. His pubic bone and hair digging into the sensitive skin of your clit and driving your pleasure higher.
You collapsed against him, limp on his chest as he caught his breath and came back to earth.
Giyuu noted you were completely asleep. Breathing even and your features relaxed.
He allowed himself to hold you close for a few minutes, basking in the heaven of having you willingly in his arms.
His hand coming up to trace your jaw and cheek, then your nose and lips. His smile so real and genuine as he looked at you.
You were cleaned up thoroughly, a warm clean cloth used to get you both semi-decent as he redressed you carefully. You didn’t even stir.
He felt mildly guilty he kept you awake like this, but too happy with what occurred to feel much else. Once he’d cleaned up, ignoring the holes he created in the fabric of the bed, he placed you once more on his chest to sleep, his hand moving over your head to pet your hair down as listen and feel your heart beat against his own.
He’d done something terrible to you again, but really, he couldn’t muster up the same feelings of guilt he once felt in the past.
Your ankle would heal, and the priest was a necessary evil. You were safe in his arms now, weren’t you?

Yandere Cater? 👀
He’s rather outgoing, isn’t he?
The bright and cheery Upperclassman, always happy to lend a hand to the juniors. Phone always at the ready, he’ll snap a few selfies. Cringing, you try to bat his hand away, blinking from the flash.
Cater will plead with you. One photo!
Just for magicam, alright? He’ll even tag you in it.
His fans have got to know what he’s up too, don’t they?
He makes sure you’re seen next to him. Angling the camera in a certain manner, pulling you closer to his waist. You think nothing of his hands on you. Cater just wants to get you into the shot, the social butterfly he is.
You don’t notice the way his finger trail down your arm, skating over your skin. The intimate way he wraps his arm around your waist, squeezing affectionately. The subtle way his eyes narrow whenever someone else tries to get into the shot, eyes shrouded by shadow.
A stare, dripping with malice. Oh, it’s gone in a flash. You’ll never notice that part of him. Don’t worry too much about it, he was just… thinking. You know, there have been unsavoury rumours going around about that guy. He heard from a friend who heard from a friends…. Well, you get the idea. As your upperclassman, Cater’s just concerned for your well-being.
You better stay away from him, alright?
Soon, Cater’s the only one who you hang out with. It hardly feels lonely, especially with him dragging you to place after place. Although there are periods of solitude, when no one ever responds to your texts. You start to turn to Cater more. His contact is at the top of your phone, his profile the only one you scroll through.
He’ll tease you about this. He’s the only one you follow! That’s super sweet. You two are totally made for each other, then!
You don’t have the heart to tell him your friends all blocked you. It’s hard to say no to Cater, not when he’s been so nice to you.
He’s only too happy to drop everything for you. Aw, you’re free? Come on, he just saw a super cute cafe open nearby! Go with him, wouldn’t you?
Cater tends to browse Magicam next to you. Leaning into your shoulders, screen angled directly at you. Carefully arranging his posts, so that all you see is him and you. He’ll laugh, talking about all the comments his latest photo got.
Hey, people seem to think you two are a couple. Can’t blame them, you do look good beside him! Maybe you two should actually start going out.
After all, it’s not like you have any choice.
He’s the only one for you.

Honest review for cas outift from For Rent Pack.
I'm a bit disappointed with this cas outfit for male expecially bottom part and hair. There's actually a glitch with this hair on Nadech but I just had to accept cause this hair is not that bad and my go to hair if i'm not using cc. but i don't want to complain too much just accept it although its make me not happy playing with him with that glitch. I already tried take out every cc he had but there's still a glitch or white dot on his face with this hair. and for the male bottom can't we just get a normal slack or short without pattern. this whole outfit will looks good without too much pattern. but yeah..this is not hate review cause I'm still amazed with the female outfit that they give. I will wear that Cheongsam but in longer version. So..so far only female has no bad review from me. for gameplay and build and buy item i will review it in other post cause i have not play tested it yet.

The only person I trust to spit facts unapologetically besides myself is my ex best friend. Are you her?
I have nothing to say to this other than FACTS.
Spot on.
APT DESCRIPTION OF THE SITUATION
My exact sentiment
He likes to stir the spot, and add some shit
Tumblr media
He's basically me on Crack honestly
He trolls, he taunts, he antagonises, he will pull your leg till you fall and then keep pulling🤧
And if you understand this about him then you can't take him seriously at all😩😩😩
I don't think he takes himself seriously he's so goofy😫
When it comes to him ,JM and their "obsession" with Kook it can get a bit 🥴🥴🥴🥴
I always say they both often come across as wanting and seeking validation from JK. Which I'm sure they are both aware of but don't care.
If you are a JK solo Stan then you might have a problem with both of them bcos of this. Especially when all that seemly unwanted attention makes Jk appear more closed off than he actually is.
Most people i know who hate Jungkook say they hate him because they see him as often being rude towards Jimin or Tae or whomever.
People want him to be more open and receptive towards their biases and that creates problems for him when he's subjected to such intense and sometimes unwanted attention.
I'm not a fan of either Jimin or Tae imposing themselves on Jungkook. They might think they doing it out of love, to show their affection or to stroke Jk's ego or whatever but it doesn't make Jk look good out here. Matter fact, it cast him in a bad light and amplifies his "negative" traits. Not cute.
Personally, I like to think it's their own way of showing love and support for Jungkook. Its the only way I can rationalize it. If you've ever been the quiet one among a trio, you recognize some of these friendship behavioral patterns:
The louder outgoing ones are constantly egging the quiets one on, encouraging them to be active, to participate in things, losen up, relax, have fun etc.
And that's just the problem with extroverts. They always think they're helping 😐
One time I let this person bulldoze me into thinking I could belt at church- I cried in front of everybody and became a meme. To this day I don't go talking to that person.
Sometimes when a person tell you they can't do shit believe them. Don't go playing Barbara the builder trying to get them out their comfort zone and making them a fool in front of everybody😐
When you listen to Tae talk about his dynamic with JK it's obvious that's how he sees Jungkook. Which is why he pushes his boundaries often- pushing him to take off his pants to shower together, posting their Tae Kook selca when JK cropped himself out. He thinks he's helping but SIRE BOUNDARIES!
Jimin is like that too as you rightfully said.
The difference is Jimin seems to know and understand the limits and if he recognizes he's pushing too far he stops. In my opinion of course. I could be wrong and Jungkook may not see him in that way at all.
Frankly, I cringe at their earlier dynamic too 😬
Jokers like to romanticize it but damn is it hard to watch. I have selective amnesia when it comes to that part of their history 😓
And I understand, it's important to take Jungkook's perspective into consideration when discussing these topics.
We might be rallying up to free him from Vmin but for all we know HE LIKES THAT SHIT💀
He comes across as the type who would let shit fly as long as he's enjoying it. The moment he doesn't enjoy it he puts up a stop sign.
I think this is what Tae probably doesn't or didn't seem to understand about JK. He takes his no for a yes and go a little bit extra each time thinking he likes it.
But it's not everyone who feels comfortable insisting on boundaries. Some people hesitate to say no out of politeness, some wanna let you down easy- I've learned the hard way. These days I'll kick you in the throat and narruto run into your guts if you fail to register a no.
Jimin goes: I feel awkward I need to film with Jk
Tae goes, well I'm feeling awkward too lemme get JK.
Tumblr media
Speaking from a delulu standpoint point, I like to think some times these are just ploys and tactics they use as excuse to film content with Jungkook. Which raises the question, who in hybe is preventing them from freely filming content with eachother and why do they feel a need to monitor them while they film live?
Tinfoil hats people. Tinfoil hats.
Out of all BTS members Tae could have had issues with, he names Jungkook and decides they have dirty laundry to air out in Soop.
Then Jimin is given an opportunity to ask any member in BTS a question and he chooses the most obvious pick- JK.
See this is why I don't get shippers who like Jikook but can't stand Tuktuk or vice versa😩
If you like Jimin it should be very easy to like Tae and if you like Jikook then liking Tuktuk is easy 💀💀💀
They both have JK in common
Tumblr media
It goes without saying then that if you like JK then liking Vmin should be so easy too🥴
Is the friend of my friend principle.
Yet tuktukkers can't stand Jikook because then they have to face the reality that what Tuktuk have is not so special afterall😫😫😫😫😫😫
I can say same for Jikook but we both know there's that silently loud question mark around Jikook that no one seem to want to answer or can answer- not even them 💀
I like to remind people Jikook is just a ship like Tuktuk- that's until you clock the difference then jikook is right about alting that ship💀
So I like your honesty. If the Fandom thinks Jimin clinging to Kook is cringe then it's only fair to say Tae is cringe too if he does the same. Real discrimination is when we think it's cute when Jimin does it but it's a problem if Tae does it and vice versa.
And for sure, there's a marketing element to this. Ships are highly commercialized. I keep saying jikook is a brand. The rhetorics around their ship is positive. They are not the chaotic duo that team up for mischief. Or the always fighting duo of the group. They are more or less a love story in the literal sense. They have numbers and engagement and purchasing power to sell out almost anything because people like their friendship.
Then there's the concept of feeding ships.
I think by now they all know what constitutes feeding ships. Tae saw a run episode and pointed out "I think Army would love this." And it was a moment of him kissing Jin👁👄👁
Do I think when he name drops Jk like this he is doing it to feed a ship?????????
I don't know... cos then I would have to assume when he name drops Jimin he is feeding a ship and that just conflicts with my Vmin lesbian agenda 🤧
And I must confess, I've been feeling kinda salty he is not posting about Jin like Jimin😒
(Putting this in the universe because the last time I complained about him not posting Jimin he went and posted a vmin IG. Universe hear my prayer and quench my taejin thirst🕯)
No. Seriously, Jimin is the only person showing Jin love since he left😒
I'm snitching on every single one of them when Jin comes back. It's the kajafeluv for me.
I don't know. I think it's healthy for them to be engaging eachother on social media as organically as possible. And although I wish he was name dropping certain people more or as equally as or along side Jungkook, I also don't think they should interact with all just to interact with one.
Whether we like it or not tuktukkers are his primary fan base. Just as jokers are Jimins. In wake of their solo careers, it's only reasonable they establish these fanbases firmly.
I mean.....
it's not as if jokers are lining up to support him🤷🏾
Let's be fucking for real😩
He shares a fan base more with Jk than Jimin or any other member. Although they all have Army in common too. But he's a smart guy. Surely he knows what's up with the Fandom.
He made that clear from the get-go. Since their solo was announced he's been aligning himself more with Jk and tuktukkers. It's cool tho. I'm still gone ship him with Jimin with my full chest and occasionally Jin after I snitch on him and Jin kicks his ass for me🙂
At the end of the day all he has is his tuktukkers and solos better treat them right, build them a fools paradise and watch them build conjure castles in the air like a supervillian.
Tuktukkers can read whatever meaning they want into this mi nuh care. THEIR SHIP AIN'T REAL🤣

A game for Two
Pls give me any feedback <3 this is my first ever fanfic.
Part 1
~
You awoke to the silky feeling of your bedsheets. The comforting feeling had never faded, the simplicity of it. You couldn’t help but appreciate things like that. Just easy. For you, lately things had seemed complicated. There was a certain Shadowsinger who had stolen your heart. You had tried not to let it show, the vulnerable feeling had you recoiling into yourself. While you were very much an outgoing, electric person - the thought had you cringing, rejection. After all you were just Rhysand’s sister. Had known him for almost 500 years. You sat on the sidelines watching him love mor, and now elain. It was nothing against them. In fact, you loved you’re cousin dearly, and enjoyed Elain’s company. They were both exquisite women, offering beauty, compassion, and intelligence. It made your heart sting. It’s not as though you hadn’t had lovers, or even flings. It was just that when he was around, no one else had seemed to matter anymore. You thought that the sudden jealously had come from the new love interest, the high lady’s sister. You had known mor wasn’t interested in Azriel. But elain was new territory, and she didn’t owe you anything. Neither did Azriel. And maybe that’s why it hurt.
That’s enough self-pity you thought. Getting up you prepared yourself for the day. Washing your face and getting dressed. The same routine as most days. Training-breakfast- then whatever you wanted. Everyone had started to arrive at the training ground. Azriel had been there with Cas first. Playing it cool you spoke with them, just good mornings. Cas walked over to you. Pulling you into a slight hug.
“Good morning y/n)”
“Morning cas”
By that point azriel has walked over and patted you on the shoulder.
That was pathetic you thought to yourself. He most definitely only saw you as a sister.
You patted his hand on your shoulder and gave him a genuine smile.
You missed his heart skip a beat.
And so, the rest of the inner circle had come to upkeep their skills. You opted to verse you’re usual sparring partner- Mor. Pulling out your choice of weapon, you wait patiently for her. Not expecting azriel to walk over.
He must have seen the confused look on your face. Willing him to explain.
“I’ll be you’re partner today”
“Oh….okay haha”
You’d wanted to smack yourself.
If it was anyone else you had have all the confidence in the world. Being able to flirt like it was nothing.
Never being able to connect with him on that level. Cas was easy, maybe because you both viewed each other the same, a sibling love. But you had guessed the love you had for the dark-haired Illyrian had been unrequited.
Training with him had been difficult but not just because of the harboured feelings, he was dangerously skilled. And while you were not a beginner and had defined skills in all combat training. He had an unfair advantage, bloody shadows you thought. He had managed to get a slice at your leg, bit rude if you were being honest, it was just training. Every time you went to make a move his shadows had told him. You shared the same gifts as rhysand but unfortunately, they had all been trained in mental shielding. This was almost impossible. Standing across from him you saw him look down your leg, when he had made the slice, he had cut away at some of your leathers. That had pissed you off, now you had to buy another set. You were thinking all of these angry thoughts until you saw the way he looked at you. It was like you were prey, but in a different way. A thought popped into your head. You were no harlot but if he wanted to be unfair then so would you. You would use the fact you were a fuckable female to your advantage. Pulling down your leather shirt which already clung to your body, you pulled the split down a bit showing your cleavage. You saw his eyes divert down your body. Perfect you thought. You dared to throw a dagger at him, while distracted. And you managed to catch his ear slicing it ever so slightly. You couldn’t help but smirk as he was shocked by the sudden attack. You hadn’t realised but the rest of the inner circle had stopped their training to watch. Cassian had suddenly erupted with laughter. “I can’t believe you just got tricked by a bit of breast”
You saw the blush that dusted Azriel cheeks before it was immediately replaced with the cold exterior he always wore.
“I was concerned because I accident cut her leg”
Still laughing cas looked to you and said, “If I verse you will you show me your cleavage as well?”
Before rhysand smacked him over the head.
“That’s my sister”
Feeling embarrassed now that the novelty had worn off. Azriel grumbled as he walked away to pack up his trainings. Rhysand grabbed you to take you to their medical kit.
“I’m fine, really.” You said to Rhy. Sensing some tension.
“What was that back there?” He said.
“What?”
“You know what.”
“Okay, maybe I exposed a bit of skin, it’s not my fault all you boys are the same”
“I find that offensive, I like to think I’m a man, and a courteous one at that.”
“You forget I was around when you helped teach Feyre how to write” you gave a sly smile.
“That’s different, she’s, my mate. Azriel is like our brother.”
“I don’t know what your insinuating, if he got all hot and heavy at a small bit of skin then that’s on him.” You huffed and walked away.
“Y/n” he called out repeatedly as you walked away.
You were grumpy at him, it was harmless. From the moment you began training it was always instilled to use every upper hand to your advantage. That’s exactly what you did. It’s only frowned upon when you’re a woman apparently.

Jeremiah Fisher Headcanon: Where He Dates A Shy Reader (Pt.2)
PART 2 to this:
it's the second karaoke party of the season — and this time, you're determined to show jeremiah how much you love him, instead of the other way round.
dating him – being with him – it's every dream and every wish you've ever held in your heart, rolled into one. no one's ever had hands as gentle as his, no one's had hair that felt as soft under your fingers – no one's ever made your body sing while being touched quite the way he does.
you have to show him how much you love him — in a big enough gesture to contain all that excess of feeling. big enough for him to deserve. even if the thought makes you break out in a cold sweat.
so there you are, steeling your nerves as your boyfriend plays beer pong a few feet away from you, entirely unaware of your carefully laid plans. you've even browbeaten conrad into assisting you with his guitar, and you ignore his sullen glower as you finally clamber onto the makeshift stage, tapping the mike apprehensively.
your voice comes out as a minuscule squeak the first few times, but finally you manage to make yourself heard. "um," you say nervously, almost quaking in your delicate kitten heels, an early birthday present from jeremiah. "i, uh, wanted to sing something, if everyone doesn't mind..."
you're cringing inside at the stunned faces around you – people who've not heard you say more than two words in their presence. no one looks more shocked than your own boyfriend, who's abandoned his game of beer pong to stare at you, eyes the size of dinnerplates.
"i-it's," you take in a long, deep breath, willing yourself to see this through. "for m-my boyfriend, to say that i – that i love him very much." at this, you can actually see jeremiah's mouth pop open in shock, the red solo cup in his hand falling to the floor. you almost run off the stage at the roars of encouragement you hear from the crowd.
but jeremiah's eyes are beginning to glow a bright, brilliant blue as he looks at you, waiting like everyone else – and you take courage from that, and begin to sing.
"i used to wanna be, living like there's only me," you quaver – your voice isn't strong and sure like jeremiah's, it probably doesn't sound even half as good – but he deserves to hear you declare your love as open-heartedly and sincerely as he does for you. he deserves more. he deserves the whole world. "but now i spend my time, thinking 'bout a way to get you off my mind..."
jeremiah's smile is so blinding, so immediate and instant and warm, that for a full minute you forget how mortified you are, visibly trembling on stage — nothing matters except the look in his eyes as you sing.
so you keep singing: "i used to be so tough, never really gave enough, and then you caught my eye, giving me the feeling of a lightning strike..."
your voice is finally loud now, louder than the whoops of all the partygoers as they watch you sing, grinning – but your eyes are only for jeremiah, marveling at the sudden, soft red stealing over his face as he keeps staring at you. you're both locked in each other's gazes, as if you're the only two people in the room.
you hold his gaze, even smiling a little yourself as you let the next few lines fall from your lips: "look at me now, i'm falling, i can't even talk, still stuttering, this ground i'm on, it keeps shaking —"
jeremiah doesn't even let you finish the rest of the verse, taking a running leap onto the stage to kiss you resoundingly on the mouth, his lips the best thank-you you could have ever gotten, moving insistently, inexorably, so very, very intimately against your own.
all your friends are going wild below, screaming and laughing – but you don't hear them, you can't even see them — all you can sense is jeremiah, pressing his lips to yours and whirling you around in his arms until you're both breathless and dizzy.
conrad is groaning in disgust next to the two of you, calling it a "sickening display" – but even this you don't notice, because jeremiah's now whispering softly into your ear, making you shiver: "you're so amazing, baby – i love you so much. so fucking much."
you can feel jeremiah's fingers wrap around your hand, the one still holding the mike — and squeeze reassuringly.
so you finish the song together, pressed skin-to-skin as everyone cheers: "all i wanna be, yeah, all i ever wanna be, yeah, yeah, is somebody to you / everybody's tryna be a billionaire, but every time i look at you, i just don't care, cause all i wanna be, yeah, all i ever wanna be, yeah, yeah, is somebody to you..."
you hug him hard enough to hurt your own arms after the song finally ends — because you got what you wanted in the end. jeremiah is your somebody. your only somebody. the only person you've ever loved. and luckily, amazingly, extraordinarily — he feels the same way. ♡

Hi, hope you're having a great day! I'm very glad you are so passionate about the books and are giving all those 'netflix only' fans, like myself, a chance for some deeper context and comparisons. You've talked some about the relationships Geralt and Yennefer have with Ciri and Dandelion. Is there a difference or a deeper relationship between Ciri and Dandelion in the books? Is he just her adopted father's friend or are they family in their own right? I've noticed the Netflix adaptation kind of makes a point of isolating Jaskier from all of Geralt's friends. No one seems to like him or respect him, if they can even stand him. It's very off putting. Then they hardly had the two interact so I'm worried it will be more of the same with his daughter, do you have any thoughts on that?
Hi Nonny! Thanks for the ask xo.
Yes, it’s a bit odd isn’t it? Jaskier tries to be friendly and he can’t seem to catch a break. I get, of course, that it’s a joke. It’s a really common type of running joke (common esp in sitcoms), where everyone is inexplicably mean to one person, and that’s it. That's the whole joke. (Like Jerry in Parks and Rec) I will admit that I literally do not get it. My sister will be laughing at stuff like that and it just does literally zero for my funny bone. I sort of just cringe.
But lots of people love it! And lots of people love it in TWN. Actually I read a Reddit comment where a person said that when Geralt punched Jaskier in S1, they laughed so hard they almost pee’ed themselves. (Paraphrased). And I have to be honest, with that type of humor. I just look at the screen and there's nothing. Not even a chuckle. Humor is just so damned subjective. And I don't get it. I would rather see nuanced characters and an amazing friendship in all its glory. But what can do you?
And with Jaskier, I think it's so interesting that in doing that with his character, they inadvertently make him such a tragically lonely figure. It is SO IRONIC. Of course in the books Dandelion annoys some people and charms other. He is loud and gregarious and funny and some people find him totally obnoxious and others find him extremely entertaining. But he is by far the most outgoing, extroverted, people loving character and probably has the most friends of anyone.
And yet somehow in the show, he is the most lonely one, in a way that feels kind of tragic! It's interesting! And for those who love angst, they are probably eating that up. You've got Jaskier playing Burn Butcher Burn, people cheering and laughing, while he dissociates and basically falls apart right in front of their eyes. And they just cheer.
Is there anything lonelier than being surrounded by people to whom you are invisible? People who see you as more of an object or clown?
And then if you take away all of his other friends, and make Geralt refuse to call him a friend for the first twenty years of their friendship, and you have somehow made the popular bard the most lonely character in the witcher world. (I think Yen is the most lonely in the books, because the sorceresses are such sharks to her. But in the show they are more of her friends)
But yeah. I don't think TWN meant to do that with Jaskier? I think they just thought it'd be funny? (total speculation) But here we are.
But I would very much like to see Jaskier be a fuller character, and more obviously to be a part of his beloved found family. I ADORED all of his scenes with Yen in S2. And I'd love to see more of his scenes written with the understanding of what he brings to the witcher universe. He is just a beating human heart of a loyal person who loves his found family. So let's see some more of that bond.
But you asked about Jaskier and Ciri in the books, and I've made that post here. XD

Other than the partying and drinking there's nothing in common btw these 2 at all zero chemistry , there's very few times that I actually felt bad for her during the interviews , she have a very outgoing personality while Jensen is a lawkey guy, he get cringed and annoyed with her so fast and there's no harmony between them whatsoever , Jensen should have picked someone like him calm and laidback, instead he always goes for the bitchy type that only pick him for his looks its real sad if think about it.
Hello Anon thank you for the ask. They 100% are not soulmates, which is very clear based on their interactions. They do sometimes say that opposites attract. However, these people missed the entire message. It's really "opposites attract but similarities bind". I believe that in Jensen and Danneel's case, they missed the similarities bind part of the message. Being different from each other may look appealing in some cases at first but as time goes on these differences end up pushing those opposites apart. You are correct anon, he should've married someone that is more similar and therefore compatible with him and cares for him for more than just his good looks. Thanks again for the ask.

PLAYLIST
MASTERLIST
PREV 💍
NEXT 💍 ONE
Tumblr media
You met Huening Kai when you were twelve, right smack in the middle of junior high. You had these thick framed glasses and he could hardly see through his fringe of dark hair. You both looked like absolute dorks, but bonded over a shared love for playing the Nintendo DS.
Rather than eating lunch in the cafeteria, you would sit in your classroom, munching on whatever snacks your mother packed for you that day while trying to beat a level of MarioKart. One day, Kai decided to do the same thing. He sat a few desks away, not having talked to you before then.
He was a very friendly person, you knew this much. He was extremely outgoing and made friends with almost anyone he came into contact with. But you could tell he understood boundaries, since he didn’t try to force you into a conversation. However, you could feel his eyes switch back and forth between his own Nintendo and yours, as if he wanted to say something.
You took a sip of your juice and sighed, turning your body in your chair to face him. “If you wanna come sit with me, you can. I don’t mind.”
His eyes widened just a bit, shocked by your invitation, but you could see how happy it made him. He gave you a small smile, picking up his belongings and relocating to your desk, sitting backwards in the chair in front of you. “What other games do you have?”
And that was the start of something new.
You made it a habit to eat lunch together in the classroom every day, bringing along a different game each time. So from then on, your friendship blossomed immensely. Middle school was a bit rough, but you made it through with one more friend.
By the time high school rolled around, things hadn’t changed that drastically. The only addition was the release of the Nintendo Switch, which easily replaced your old DSIs due to both popularity and the fact that they looked super fucking cool. (You spent an unhealthy amount of money to get the pink one.)
Animal Crossing quickly became your favorite game to play together, visiting each other’s islands almost every single day. When the AC version of the Switch came out, Kai pawned off his original to his younger sister Bahiyyih in favor of begging his parents to get him the other one. (The boy was spoiled, so everything panned out in his favor.)
Even though you could both be considered massive losers for being obsessed with Nintendo still at age fifteen, you honestly weren’t. Kai’s friendship magic (you’d referred to it as his ‘My Little Pony’ power on numerous occasions and received just as many smacks on the back of the head in response) worked on just about everyone. Boys didn’t cringe inwardly at the sight of you. Since you’d ditched the glasses, in fact, they all seemed to be heavily attracted to you.
Except nothing ever happened.
Just when you thought it was going well with a boy, he suddenly backed off and left you heartbroken. It was upsetting, to say the least.
One night, when you and Kai were hanging out at your house, you ripped out a sheet of paper from a random journal and set it between the two of you. He raised an eyebrow at your actions, thoroughly confused by the weirdness of it.
“What are you doing?” He reaches over onto your nightstand to grab a handful of popcorn, shoving it into his mouth. You take a deep breath.
“I’m about to propose an idea— a very stupid, kind of idiotic idea— but an idea, nonetheless.” You answer, hopping off your bed to grab two colored pens. One black and one pink. He stares at you like you’d just grown two heads, the gears in his head constantly getting stuck.
“Okay, I’m caving. Can you tell me what this is all about?” He leans back onto his hands.
“A marriage pact.” Is what you say simply. His eyes nearly pop out of their sockets and he coughs as if he choked, sitting upright immediately.
“A what pact??”
“It’s a joke mostly, but deep down I’m actually kinda serious about it, so just hear me out,” you reason, raising your hands in surrender. “You and I have shit luck in the relationship department. And yeah I get it, we’re only fifteen so it’s not the end of the world, but part of me feels like I’ll have shit luck forever. So I’m suggesting a marriage pact.”
He blinks at you. Once. Then twice. Then a third time before he’s actually speaking again. “What exactly is a marriage pact?”
“Well there are rules and kinks to be figured out, but the gist of it is me and you will get together and get married by a certain age if we’re both still single,” you explain. “I’m pretty sure I’ve seen it in a movie or a K-drama somewhere.”
“Okay first of all, I do not have shit luck in the relationship department, I’m just not looking for anything right now. And second of all, you’re seriously planning our future based on fiction?”
“Kai Kamal Huening, you own an Isabelle plush because you somehow think her spirit will overtake you and you’ll learn how to speak like an Animal Crossing character. Do not talk to me about basing things off of fiction.” You deadpan, crossing your arms.
He avoids your glare, scratching the back of his neck. “We said we wouldn’t talk about that anymore. You also promised not to use my government name in an argument.”
“I won't do it again if you agree to the pact,” you grin, poking his cheeks playfully. “Please, Hyuka. I don’t wanna die an old lady with thirty cats and a house filled with random stuff I don’t need to the point that I can hardly walk through it. Cause it’s not like I’m going to miraculously bump into Jeonghan from Seventeen on the streets and have him fall in love with me.”
He takes one look at the hope in your eyes and lets out a small sigh, giving into the slight pout on your lips. “Fine. Okay. I’ll do it.”
Your expression brightens by a tenfold and you nearly topple him over, throwing your arms around his shoulders. “Yah! I love you, you overgrown baby!” You press a fat smooch on his cheek and pull away, settling yourself back down to get to business. When you’re not paying attention, he holds two fingers up to the area you just kissed, his face warming up at the action. “Alright, let’s establish our rules.”
He forces himself to snap out of it, nodding at your words. “Uh— okay— um— what age should we cap it at?”
You tap the end of your pen on your chin, humming. “How about twenty five? Not too young, not too old. People usually get married around that age.”
“That’s cool with me. Twenty five’s good.” He concedes. You’re slightly surprised that he’s not trying to fight with you on anything. Usually he would’ve tossed in his two cents. You don’t mention it though, taking your win and moving on.
“I don’t really want too many restrictions since we’ll both find loopholes anyways,” you say as you finish writing out the previous rule. “Next; we need to keep this between us only. No blabbering to anyone else. Yes, that means you can’t tell the guys.”
He opens his mouth and shuts it just as fast. “I guess that’s fair. This is like some Fight Club shit.”
“Please never refer to our pact in the same sentence as Fight Club again.”
“Okay okay, I won’t. Even though there’s nothing wrong with Fight Club,” Kai grumbles. “So, if we’re single by twenty five and no snitching. Is that all?” He gets more popcorn, extending his arm over you to also get his switch from beside the bowl on your bedside table. “Beomgyu’s letting me visit his island.”
“One more thing,” you hold up a finger, jotting down the remainder of the second rule, putting emphasis on certain parts. “You can’t flake out on me, Huening Kai. I mean it. Once this pact is signed, it’ll be sealed and delivered. There’s no going back.”
Your tone is firm, indicating just how committed you were with this. He wanted to tease you like he usually would when you tried being serious for once, but he didn’t have it in him. Not when he could tell how genuine you felt about this stupid pact. And because he doesn’t want to break your heart, he agrees.
“No take backs.” He smiles.
You grin widely, scribbling out the final rule of your contract before signing it. You slide the sheet of paper to Kai, watching him excitedly while he uncaps the pen and prepares to leave his own signature. His head tilts to the side, showing his hesitation to follow through. Then he glances up at you and catches that hopeful glint in your eyes once again.
(His fingers have a mind of their own after that.)
You put your hand out for him and he grasps it, shaking. “No take backs.”

furuba stage review - part 1?? (casting)
it’s been almost a year since furuba stage last came out, and i was only able to watch it now because i rewatched the anime. do take note that i watched the play without subs and solely relied on my story knowledge to understand the whole thing (they pretty much followed the OG storyline so this isn’t really an issue).
warning: long post ahead!!
ps. all pics are taken from one of the official pvs
the casting
let’s start with the most important aspect of this (or any) play. the casting. and i kid you not, the casting for this is PERFECT.
when i first saw the cast list, i was lowkey in doubt with some characters seeing im somehow familiar with both the story and the actors (and how they play certain roles) but i was proven wrong when i actually watched the whole thing.
ayano christie yoshida (nogizaka46) who played as tohru, did absolutely great! tohru’s formal way of speaking, her gentle and calming vibe, she got it all down. the eye language (is that a thing?) was superb, considering that furuba has a lot of scenes where monologue comes into play.
Tumblr media
Next we have hashimoto shohei (akutagawa - bsd stage, nishinoya - haikyuu engeki, leo - enstars stage) who played as kyo. Initially, i wasnt sure what to expect bc he has a versatile way of acting. but after seeing the true form arc (which i’ll get into detail in a separate post) i thought “yep, he’s perfect. he’s literally kyo in the flesh”. maybe the only thing i didnt particularly like was the fact that his voice tends to go up by a pitch when he screams (which is to say, kyo screams A LOT) but i thought it wasnt rlly an issue seeing that shohei’s voice is naturally high-pitched.
Tumblr media
yuki .. OH GOD YUKI.. i might be a bit biased here because i rlly like naoya kitagawa, but to say that he’s the real life yuki is an understatement. he portrayed yuki with grace and elegance i cannot explain. so to say, he also portrayed tsukasa suou in enstars stage so i know he has a delicate performance, which suits yuki. his supposed intimate scenes literally had me dying because it was well executed. his fight scenes with kyo was amazing as he moved with grace despite being an intense scene.
Tumblr media
i wont be commenting one by one on them as it’ll take forever to finish, so i only talked about the main trio. but here’s some honorable mentions.
kisa’s stage actress, erina kamata (im not so sure abt the name because i can barely find infos about her, correct me if im wrong), did the greatest. despite the young age, she was performing in par with the adults. her scene with hiro which she caught him doing mischief, the emotions whenever she says “hiro-chan”, the voice she did when kisa can barely speak, she did it all perfectly.
Tumblr media
upon scrolling on twitter, i see people talking about ayame portrayed by hiroki nakata and he did not disappoint. he was able to exude ayame’s comedic energy and he did it without looking like a cringe. he was obnoxious, loud, outgoing, literally ayame. im not sure if his parts with shigure and hatori was adlib (esp the “yosh” part), but whether that was adlib or not, it still gave me a good laugh. he also had parts in between scenes that wasnt originally in the story (so im assuming those are adlibs that he had to do for some reason), but he did it with ease and it was perfect nonetheless. (i was too lazy to search for other pvs and this was the only steady shot on him. so in-character right haha)

—--
so for now, that is it for my furuba stage casting review. i feel like if i put my review on how they did significant scenes, and relationship portrayal, it’ll be a whole ass talk. will be putting that in part 2 if there will be one. thanks for coming to my tedtalk!
