I don’t know how Tumblr works but here are some clone designs for my fanfiction Angel of the Iron Battalion!! I just think the 13th battalion are neat and it’s sad that we didn’t get to seen them as actual characters (though very understandable..) so I made them!
Tumblr media
Here’s Nyx, our favourite trans (ftm) Commander with about 15 anxiety disorders and a need to protect every child in 50ft distance to him.
Tumblr media
Hymn, the guy who met an angel ONCE and has not shut up about it since, to the point that he got their language TATTOOED ON HIS FACE. In love with an Angel girl he saw once that saved his life and he never saw again.
Tumblr media
Havock, who thinks the more scars you get, the hotter you are (unfortunately he is right but by god can you stop running into explosions please). Would also protect every child within 50ft distance of him.
Tumblr media
Liz, the representation for every obsessed crocheter out there. Has probably made little crochet covers for everyone’s armour by now, even though it’s highly useless. He’s say it keeps them warmer in the cold. Everyone is just too nice to say otherwise.
Tumblr media
Fourv, another trans clone (mtf) except she has infinitely better eyeliner game than Nyx. Does she wake up before her shift everyday just to do her killer makeup? Nobody knows. There’s a rumour Brush caught her at it once but she threatened him under penalty of death if he told anyone. Everyone else just believes she came out of the tube with eyeliner pre done.
Tumblr media
Lucky, a defective clone that was allowed to join and he makes it everyone else’s problem! As payback for being treated as the precious new shiny, he aims to be the most annoying little shit he possibly can, winning his name through his incredible luck winning games no matter what game he is playing. After winning all of Havock’s credits in a game once, he was banned from partaking in any with cash prizes. He thinks this is highly unfair.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then Brush and Canvas, the twins! Both dumb as rocks and kind as hell. Brush likes to doodle on literally everything and say a dumb joke every five seconds and his twin Canvas is the more stoic of the duo, if only to save his ridiculous remarks for a time where they’d confuse the most people. Some think he actually puts it on as an act for fun, just because he likes annoying people.
Tumblr media
And their battalion symbol! It’s sort of like an egg but also like kintsugi, both of which are very poetic for this specific battalion.

oooh 23 for bastra and jaro?
softer world prompts
we talk in the dark as we fall asleep, and we are objects in the night sky outside of time. (it is the exact opposite of alone)
“I’ll admit,” Jaro says in lieu of any sensible greeting, heedless of the way Bastra startles. “I can’t fathom what you’re doing here.”
The city lights of Daiyu glare vibrant neon that reflects off the pooling water on the street. It doesn’t fully mask the grime that coats every conceivable surface, but it does well to draw the eye away.
“I’m doing the same as everyone else on this planet, looking for something.”
Bastra pays no mind to the gentle fall of rain – it won’t soak through his clothes any time soon, and he can’t be bothered to move from his perch on the roof of a dilapidated inn. With one leg tucked close to his chest and the other dangling over the edge, he has a comfortable vantage point over the bustle that never ends, no matter the hour.
He hears Jaro huff a sigh and sees him, out the corner of his eye, sit cross-legged at his side. Almost close enough for their thighs to touch. Into the space between them, he asks, “What are you looking for? Something, or someone?”
Scowling, Bastra tears his gaze away from the street to look up at Jaro’s face, which is angled further up toward the clouds. “I can multitask, can't I?"
"Of course," Jaro grants, "I only hope you've thought this through."
That makes two of them, for whatever it's worth.
"More or less. I need credits to travel, so I need a job. There's not much else to it."
He watches Jaro's ears twitch back, the surest sign of his disapproval. For a man with a face like a locked vault, his ears always cracked the combination. Saved Bastra from putting his foot in his mouth more than once.
"I wonder if you're chasing these goals you claim are so straightforward, or if you're still running away."
"Fuck off."
"I will not."
"I'm not running away," Bastra hisses, then deliberately unclenches his jaw. "There's nothing left to run from except death, and I'm not currently interested in letting that catch up with me."
Imperial efforts to hunt down the few Jedi who escaped the Purge ebb and flow, but have generally waned over the years. He can travel relatively freely, as long as he keeps his head down and doesn't draw attention. Odd jobs keep him going. It's aimless, at times, but it's something.
Jaro bristles, scratching idly at his beard. An old habit that never died. "It seems to have caught up with you, all the same."
Bastra snorts, even though it's not funny. "Sure, your death follows me relentlessly. My own will have to work harder to catch up."
He's still only halfway convinced that he hasn't lost his mind, and these visits from Jaro aren't just complex hallucinations. At best, the Force truly does work in mysterious ways. At worst, well. He gets a very convincing construct to talk to.
The first time it happened – whatever it is – he shut down, couldn't speak, couldn't move, couldn't breathe. The second wasn't much better. Jaro stopped trying to explain and simply shared his space after a few more, and something eventually clicked in the back of Bastra's mind. Whether it clicked into or out of place is up for debate.
With fear and shock and confusion worn away, the hardest part is how real it feels– how real he feels. The illusion is incredible, but not perfect.
Jaro's eyes don't reflect the glaring neon lights of Daiyu when he meets Bastra's gaze. His clothes and hair and fur are unmoved by the wind. Every detail of his features, all the way down to signs of age, is exactly as Bastra remembers from before. He's a snapshot, displaced from his time and stubbornly refusing to rest.
"You shouldn't taunt fate, Bastra," he chastises, but there's fondness in his tone. Relief, maybe. "She comes for us all, in the end."
They're close enough that their thighs could touch, but an insurmountable cavern apart. Fate will come for him in the end, but maybe his family will be there too. "How long do you have?"
Before they lose this strand of connection.
Jaro's shoulders drop, almost imperceptibly. "Not long enough."
"Hm." He can't tangle their hands together, but his fingers itch with sense memory, and he would, if he could. "Thank you. For being here at all."
There are nights when thinks it won't be the price on his head, or hunger, or exposure, or a stray blaster bolt, or a speeder crash, or anything else that kills him. When he thinks it might be the loneliness that does it.
This, at least, is the exact opposite of alone.
Maybe, possibly, he'll actually pick up Cal's trail, and that won't be alone either.

Lightsabers, Blasters, and Blades, oh my!
Chapter2: It seemed like a good idea at the time...
Padawans being Padawans gives the Clones bit more insight into how competitive the Jedi can be.
The Jedi learn about a new sport from the clones’ training and are more than game to play.
Part 7 of my ‘Obi-Wan gets a second padawan’ series entitled Of Blasters and Sabers, and the Words in Between.

Chapter 1 of ?
Summary:
"I will not hinder Cal's training in my fear for him, Commander." He admonishes, low and firm, and let's his eyes slip shut as a burst of laughter echoes through the hangar, drawing all eyes back to Ion Squad and the cadet firmly in their midst. The overhead lights bleach the color from his hair, gleaming white and gold, and Archon swallows painfully. "I will not let darkness rule his path."

Hi looking for an rp partner who would like to rp Jaro or a young knight or padawan in training. I have an OC Kodo who is half Lasat and half Human. He is the padawan of Jaro before Cal so he would be knight a bit before Jaro takes on Cal. Of course this is a lose time frame! If you want to know more feel free to dm me! I would prefer to rp on discord but am open to doing tumblr rp’s.

Arvid Cairn was a kind person.
There was no doubt about that.
He was always so good with the children and never minded with people used him for warmth in the winter as he worked. It wasn’t rare to find younglings or padawans in the woodworking hall dozing or doing course work against and around him. One or two often culling to his tail. And he would always take time to show the younglings how to carve if they wanted to, no matter how busy his schedule was.
He never seemed bothered by people just coming to talk to him, and there were few he didn’t get along with, even though there weren’t as who knew much about him outside of the artisan halls.
He never was bothered when Cal would fall asleep on him and he had to return the boy to his master, Arvid’s own closest friend, Jaro Tapal.
And he always looked out for the Jedi who worked under him as the Head of the Woodworking Artisan Department.
And even though he didn’t quite understand the clones all the time, he always did his best to see and talk eye to eye with them. Extending a familial kindness to Thorn after Turu admitted his budding relationship with the clone and how could he not?
Turu was his second, his former student.
He would welcome anyone that he wanted to form a relationship with.
He would agree to let clones into the workshops because the shore leave clones got restless and some were curious. He was rather pleased to say that a few of the men picked up hand carving as a form of pastime.
And outside of the Order and the War, how he acted with Dex’s children. He had no trouble slotting into the position of “second dad” for Onyx, and even though D and Nim were older, he still was considered to be like a father figure.
There was no doubt that Dex loved him, and he, Dex. There were those in the Order who disagreed, but in the end, many saw no harm in it. Where other Jedi would become attached, Arvid was responsible and talked through it with the other Masters. There was little doubt that he was a good person, and a kind person.
Was. Because even kindness ends.
It is not to say that he was not kind in the end. He remained kind and good until the end.
But it is because his end was cut short, and that is the reason it ended.
By going to Coco town to visit Dex and Onyx when Order 66 hit, he willingly took several shots and a stab to the chest in order to minimize the damage that would’ve been caused to the surrounding citizens if he dodged. Because he was kind, and cared, and he was a Jedi in the end.
Save many at the sacrifice of a few, save citizens and innocents as the sacrifice of his own life.
Still, he proved to be resilient and incapacitated the clones before staggering the rest of the way to the Diner. There was confusion, but nothing he could do while heavily injured.
He was kind until death.
Arvid Cairn dies, bleeding out and collapsed against his daughter. His daughter who calls for her father, who feels the life drain out of him. Even as he tried his hardest to stay awake, to grasp at life, mumbling about how he loved her and her father and brother and sibling and she had to stay safe in the coming days.
He really was a good Jedi. He really did try his absolute best.
And he loved until death.

SQUAD UP!
First Nicks
Summary:
Ahsoka and Tae'sie have to begrudgingly admit that maybe armor isn't a complete hindrance, but they won't let that secret out. They can’t let Rex and Cody be any more smug about this then they already are.
Through the eyes of others, the essence and the ideals of the Jedi Order are perceived and observed in war.
Sorry for the delay! RL was being herself, but I’m back in the saddle and ready to write some more Jedi and Clones shenanigans and Tribulations.

Grand Army of the Republic Structure
So, looking at how the GAR is structured, there would be about 512 battalions total throughout all 10 system armies. (I can go into that later)
We know of (canon) 15.
Let me know if I missed any, here's the list:
21st Nova corp (wait, is that a battalion or a Corp in the structure? idk.) led by Ki-Adi-Mundi and CC Bacara
13th (the Iron Battalion) led by Jaro Tapal and Cal Kestis
41st Scout let by Luminara and/or Yoda, and CC Gree
104th (The Wolfpack) led by Plo Koon and CC Wolffe
187th led by Mace Windu and CC Ponds (I thought they were the 91st?)
612th led by Polla Royal and CC Granch (I'm assuming that's a CC)
Combat Engineer (I don't know either) let by Sergeant Gaffa
212th led by Kenobi and CC Cody
501st led by Skywalker, CT Rex, and Ahsoka Tano
332nd, which is an off shoot of the 501st, lead by CC Rex and Tano
(Carnivore is also a sub group of 501st, but I'm unsure if it is big enough to count as it's own battalion)
442nd, also led by Plo Koon at some point, and CC Verd
327th lead by Aayla Secura and CC Bly
184th led by Jor Aerith and CC Crane (again, guessing if a CC)
Rancor Battalion, lead by Shaak Ti and the Rancor ARC CCs
Coruscant Guard, which has no Jedi and is led mainly by CC Fox
Honorary member, but technically part of 212th, is Clone Force 99, lead by CT Hunter.
So that's roughly 15. Out of 512.
Good thing we fans like to make OC clones.
Also, I AM thinking about making a color chart for known battalions. And since there are so few, including those of OC made battalions too.
If anyone is interested.
Here's the link to the post that started this.
