KREAMEKO: Enhancing Mouthfeel in High-Moisture Foods.
In the world of food formulation, achieving the perfect texture and mouthfeel is paramount. Whether it's ice cream, beverages, or desserts, consumers crave a sensory experience that delights the palate. This is where specialty ingredients like KREAMEKO step in, offering a unique solution to enhance mouth-coating properties in high-moisture food systems.
KREAMEKO is a modified starch specifically designed to excel in liquid-based systems. Its primary objective? To deliver a smooth, luxuriant, and rich mouthfeel that elevates the overall sensory experience of the product. But what sets KREAMEKO apart from other starches?
One of its key attributes lies in its ability to mimic fat. By acting as a co-texturizer, KREAMEKO replicates the mouth-coating sensation typically associated with fat, without actually incorporating additional fat content into the product. This opens up a world of possibilities for food manufacturers striving to create low-fat alternatives that don't compromise on texture or indulgence.
When it comes to frozen treats like ice cream, KREAMEKO proves to be a game-changer. Its presence encourages the development of viscosity in the aqueous phase of ice cream, effectively inhibiting ice crystal growth. This not only enhances the creaminess of the final product but also ensures a smoother texture, even in reduced-fat variations. The result? Ice creams that boast the same luscious mouthfeel as their full-fat counterparts, minus the guilt.
But KREAMEKO's versatility doesn't end there. From thick shakes to non-dairy beverages and traditional Indian sweets like basundi and rabdi, this modified starch finds its place in a myriad of applications. It imparts creaminess, builds viscosity, and adds body to a wide range of formulations, catering to the diverse preferences of consumers.
Moreover, KREAMEKO isn't just about sensory appeal—it's also about functionality. In nutraceutical formulations such as vegan and whey-based protein powders, it plays a crucial role in providing body and texture, enhancing the overall consumer experience.
In a competitive market where consumer expectations are constantly evolving, ingredients like KREAMEKO offer food manufacturers a competitive edge. By delivering unparalleled mouthfeel and texture enhancements in high-moisture foods, KREAMEKO transforms ordinary products into extraordinary culinary delights, satisfying the cravings of discerning consumers worldwide.

it annoys me so much that they don’t sell lactose free half&half or heavy cream around here. I *know* that it’s a thing that exists but they don’t sell it here for some reason >:l

how to reduce acne (and what is acne)
acne is a skin condition that occurs when hair follicles become clogged with oil and dead skin cells. it typically results in whiteheads, blackheads or pimples that can appear on the face, forehead, chest, upper back and shoulders. acne is most prevalent among teens but can affect people of all ages. several factors contribute to acne, such as excess oil production, buildup of dead skin cells, bacterial growth and inflammation.
acne is not inherently 'bad' but it is a source of discomfort for many people. while acne itself is not a bad thing, it can lead to potential complications if not managed properly, such as scarring or emotional distress.
when reading this post, it is important to remember that everyone's skin is different and what works for one person may not work for another. i'd like to add that i am not a dermatologist, and this post is written with my own experience in mind as well as research online.
reducing acne involves a combination of skincare practices and lifestyle adjustments. here are some recommended actions:
properly wash your face cleanse your face twice daily to remove excess oil, sweat and dirt. some common face washing mistakes include using the wrong cleanser, over-washing your face, under-washing your face, the wrong water temperature and using a dirty washcloth. don't worry if this all seems confusing, here's a post on how to properly wash your face.
know your skin type use products suitable for your skin type only--oily, dry, combination or sensitive. you can find this out by visiting a dermatologist or (alternatively) researching the skin types and seeing which best matches your skin.
moisturise moisturiser curbs dryness, which balances oil production in your face and therefore helps to prevent acne. choose a non-comedogenic moisturiser to not clog your pores.
consider over-the-counter treatments think about acne treatments with ingredients like benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid.
stay hydrated drink plenty of water to maintain skin hydration. good hydration helps to maintain skin elasticity, supports the skin's protective functions and prevents sunburn, sensitivity and oiliness. women should drink about 2.7L of fluids every day (including water, other beverages and food).
limit makeup use minimal makeup and ensure that it is non-comedogenic. don't stop wearing makeup if it is something you enjoy, however, try to limit it in acne-strong areas.
don't touch your face this is a big one, and yet so many people do it. keep your hands away from your face to prevent the spread of bacteria. seriously, you use your hands for so much--you don't want the germs of everything you've touched on your face.
limit sun exposure protect your skin with appropriate sunscreen. and remember to re-apply! limiting sun exposure also reduces skin cancer risk. balance is key, though, because the sun is necessary for vitamin d production and maintaining circadian rhythms.
exercise regularly physical activity can help reduce stress, which may contribute to acne.
enjoy a healthy diet eating a well-balanced diet can support skin health. consider reducing dairy and high glycemic foods. a diet with a low glycemic index may help balance hormone levels, which is the same effect when insulin spikes occur less. essential nutrients promote skin health and help to repair and maintain the skin barrier.
invest in stress management find ways to reduce stress, such as journaling or going for a walk. stress can worsen acne. this is because, under stress, the body's healing process slows down, meaning acne can take longer to heal and become more severe. stress hormones can also increase oil production, leading to clogged pores.

are motley characters only named after fruit and vegetable based foods, or can they be other things like meat and dairy?
Any consumable food/beverage items are on the table for names. One of my friends made a nun character named "Holy Cannoli", it's truly the wild west out here lol
A while ago, I made a few body bases to help my non-artist friends with making their own characters. If you'd like to make an OC but dont feel like going through the Pain and Agony of Drawing, feel free to use these however you please!

So this might be a stupid question, but how do you know if you’re developing an eating disorder/tendencies?
honestly that’s a really good question!!!
here goes a really informative post with all research made by me:
you may have to look at some behaviors and attitudes like:
- extremely frequent dieting, and control of food becoming primary concern;
- insecure and worry with weight, calories, carbohydrates and fat grams(others too);
- refusing to eat certain foods (fear foods), and restricting against whole categories of food (like carbohydrates, dairy);
- looks uncomfortable eating around others;
- food rituals (eats only a particular food or food group, excessive chewing);
- skipping meals or taking small portions of food at regular meals;
- extreme concern with body size and shape;
-frequent checking in the mirror for perceived flaws in appearance;
- wanting to look unhealthily thin;
- wanting to fast and doing it for unhealthy periods of time (varying from days to weeks).
Now some specific Eds to separate each one! (some may have the same characteristics as others)
4N0REX1A NERVOSA:
- may dress in layers bc of insecurity;
- extreme worry with weight, food, calories, and dieting;
- some make frequent comments about feeling “fat”;
- wanting to have a body weight inappropriate for their age, height, and build;
- presence of packages of l4xatives;
- drinks extreme amounts of water or non-caloric beverages;
- maintains an excessive, heavy exercise routine.
BUL1M14 NERVOSA:
- evidence of binge eating, including disappearance of large amounts of food in short periods of time;
- also evidence of p^rging behaviors, including frequent trips to the bathroom after meals, signs and smells of vomiting;
- presence of packages of l4xatives;
- drinks extreme amounts of water or non-caloric beverages;
- does self-induced v^miting;
- dental problems, such as cavities, discoloration of teeth from vomiting, and tooth sensitivity(bc of the above);
B1NG3 EATING DI1S0RD3R (BED):
- secret recurring episodes of binge eating (eating in a discrete period of time an amount of food that is much larger than most individuals would eat);
- feels lack of control over ability to stop eating;
- feelings of disgust, d3pr3ss1on, or guilt after overeating, or feelings of low self-esteem;
- may steal food;
- evidence of binge eating, including the disappearance of large amounts of food in a short time period.
OTHERWISE SPECIFIED FEEDING OR EATING D1S0RD3R (OSFED):
Because OSFED has a wide variety of eating dis0rd3red behaviors, any or all of the following symptoms may be present in people with OSFED.
- frequent episodes of consuming very large amount of food followed by behaviors to prevent weight gain, such as self-induced vomiting or st4rv1ng (fasting);
- evidence of binge eating, including disappearance of large amounts of food in short periods of time;
- self-esteem overly related to body image;
- extreme dieting behavior (reducing the amount or types of foods consumed);
- expresses a need to “burn off” calories taken in;
- evidence of p^rging behaviors, including frequent trips to the bathroom after meals, signs or smells of vomiting;
- presence of packages of laxatives or diuretics.
AVOIDANT RESTRICTIVE FOOD INTAKE D1S0RD3R (ARFID):
-limited range of preferred foods that becomes narrower over time (like picky eating that progressively worsens);
- fears of choking or vomiting;
-may have no body image disturbance or fear of weight gain.
RUMINATION D1S0RD3R:
- repeated regurgitation of food for a period of at least one month. Regurgitated food may be re-chewed, re-swallowed, or spit out.
Other Food & Behavior Concerns:
ORTHOREXIA:
- cutting out an increasing number of food groups (all sugar, all carbs, all dairy, all meat, all animal products);
- an increase in concern about the health of ingredients;
- an inability to eat anything but a narrow group of foods that are deemed ‘healthy’ or ‘pure’;
- may have body image concerns.
C0MPULSIVE EXERCISING:
- Exercise that significantly interferes with important activities, occurs at inappropriate times or in inappropriate settings;
- intense anxiety, depression or distress if unable to exercise;
- Exercise takes place despite injury or fatigue.
This is just my research and my own and other experiences, if i missed/used wrong information please let me know! 😊

Has a history with Lou’s character
Very different from Nines Rodriguez (Who Luis played on LA by Night)
Potentially Dad friend of party, hopes he isn’t
Beverage of choice is his own sweat and that of his enemies

are you okay with non-vegans following? (as long as we aren't anti-vegan) I understand if not
Thank you for the (respectful) ask :)
I guess it depends on what makes you define yourself as non-vegan
Veganism is a way of living which seeks to exclude - as far as is practicable and possible - the exploitation of and cruelty to animals. For me, I tend to broaden it to trying to reduce the harm I cause whenever possible
So if you believe in this definition but still have to consume animal products for medical/financial/etc reasons, I’d say you’re probably vegan. Personally I have to consume at least some dairy because vegan meal replacement beverages aren’t covered by food stamps where I live. No meal replacement means no food, so I’ve gotta drink the ones with dairy
If you’re non-vegan in the sense that you don’t think reducing your harm is meaningful or worthwhile, I guess you can follow but I’d be curious why you’d be interested in my blog since I’ll post a lot cracking down on that mindset
TLDR: you can follow but I encourage you to look into why you aren’t vegan/what veganism means in your eyes. Ultimately if you aren’t anti-vegan then I won’t block you for following or anything

What foods are good for your health?
Tumblr media
A balanced diet rich in whole foods is generally considered good for your health. Here are some examples of foods that are often recommended:
Fruits and vegetables: These provide essential vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants. Aim for a variety of colors to get a wide range of nutrients.
Whole grains: Foods like brown rice, quinoa, oats, and whole wheat provide fiber, vitamins, and minerals.
Lean proteins: Incorporate sources like chicken, turkey, fish, tofu, beans, lentils, and nuts for essential amino acids.
Healthy fats: Foods like avocados, olive oil, nuts, and seeds contain monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, which are beneficial for heart health.
Dairy or dairy alternatives: Choose low-fat or non-fat options for milk, yogurt, and cheese, or opt for fortified plant-based alternatives like almond milk or soy yogurt.
Water: Staying hydrated is crucial for overall health. Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
Herbs and spices: Many herbs and spices not only add flavor to your meals but also provide health benefits due to their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Limit processed foods: Processed foods often contain high amounts of added sugars, unhealthy fats, and sodium. Opt for whole, minimally processed foods whenever possible.
Portion control: Be mindful of portion sizes to avoid overeating, even with healthy foods. Using smaller plates, bowls, and utensils can help with portion control.
Reduce added sugars: Try to limit your intake of sugary beverages, desserts, and snacks. Choose naturally sweet foods like fruits instead.
Include probiotics: Fermented foods like yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, and kimchi contain beneficial probiotics that support gut health.
Stay mindful of salt intake: Too much sodium can contribute to high blood pressure and other health issues. Choose low-sodium options and flavor foods with herbs, spices, and citrus instead of salt.
Prioritize nutrient-dense foods: Focus on foods that provide a high amount of nutrients relative to their calorie content, such as leafy greens, cruciferous vegetables, and berries.
Enjoy meals mindfully: Take time to savor and enjoy your meals, paying attention to hunger and fullness cues. Eating slowly and without distractions can help prevent overeating.
Customize your diet: Consider any specific dietary preferences, intolerances, or allergies you may have when planning your meals. There are many ways to adapt healthy eating patterns to suit individual needs.
Be consistent: Consistency is key to reaping the benefits of a healthy diet. Aim to make nutritious choices consistently over time rather than focusing on perfection.
Remember, balance and moderation are key. It’s also important to consider individual dietary needs and any specific health conditions when choosing foods for optimal health. Consulting with a healthcare provider or a registered dietitian can provide personalized recommendations.

hi frank. ideal way of consuming liquids?
Drinking liquids:
The best liquids are the ones that you can't make a mental distinction between and the liquids you have to drink. So, water, coffee, and tea are basically indistinguishable, and alcohol, if you can get it, should really only be enjoyed a very infrequent event. Some others aren't bad, though:
Orange juice: great! but if you have trouble drinking orange juice, you may have to get creative. (The best orange juice is probably from Stonyfield and it's pretty good, but other brands exist.)
Grapefruit juice: really good, actually. For reasons I don't understand, grapefruit makes orange juice taste more "fresh" -- I imagine grapefruit is "acidy," and when you add citrus to a drink, the acid and the fruit juice act together to balance each other out. I can't really explain this phenomenon very well, but it seems like one of the things it's for?
Sodas: salty, fizzy, kind of refreshing. (There are a whole bunch of "energy drinks" made of sodas, which I think have some benefits but also some problems)
Milk/cream: all kinds! Milk makes things taste more "rich," cream makes them taste more "delicate." The one I want to talk about is soy milk -- it has a sort of "neutral" flavor and, especially in smoothies, it just kind of blends in. But some brands have been pushing "soy-free" milk substitutes, which taste very similar to normal milk, but a bit less "neutral," and they're becoming more popular (although I'm not sure how many people actually like their flavor very much).
Sweetened non-dairy milk substitutes: tastes similar to regular non-dairy milk, but with the same "neutral" kind of taste, and can be used in place of real milk in recipes where you really want milk and don't want to get fancy. Examples: coconut, almond, oat, or soy milk. They're fine if you're trying to cut down on dairy.
Gatorade and other sports drinks: they taste like sports drinks and I don't like them that much.
Sipping:
If you want to drink something "hot," water is good. The ideal temperature is lukewarm, though -- something in between "cold" and "warm" -- and I imagine it also depends on the beverage, and what you mean by "hot."
Foods with liquid in them:
You should try all kinds of foods. I don't know what to recommend here.
