[Image Description: First panel is two hands holding a slip of paper that says, “Thoughts and Prayers”. Underneath it says “Woah”. The second panel is a boy looking up from reading the slip of paper. He says, “This is worthless”.]
It's time to stop offering "thoughts and prayers" in response to tragedies. While it may seem like a kind gesture, it's actually an empty one that does nothing to solve the problem at hand.
Offering thoughts and prayers is not a substitute for taking meaningful action to prevent tragedies from happening in the first place. We need to start having difficult conversations and working towards real solutions instead of relying on hollow gestures.
Furthermore, for many people, offering thoughts and prayers can come across as insensitive and dismissive. It's important to consider how your words may be received by those who have been directly impacted by a tragedy.
Let's move beyond "thoughts and prayers" and towards real action to make the world a safer and better place for everyone.

I'm finally watching Quiet On Set and it absolutely breaks my heart and makes me break down knowing what people went thru. How children were broken by the adults they were supposed to be able to trust.
As a survivor myself I feel like its a step to my own healing process exposing myself to this, and the trauma of those I grew up watching, they are apart of my childhood, when I too was facing the same thing.
I was terrified until that person was removed from my life.
I'm 27 years old now and I still have never spoken out about my abuse and have even stood quiet/uncomfortable about others when they share their stories with me, as a reflection of my own trauma, but thats no more.
No more silence about one of the most horrific experiences someone can be exposed to.
No more silence about the damage it does and how it permenantly effects someone. NO MORE NOT GETTING JUSTICE FOR VICTIMS AND LEAVING THEM VOICELESS.

i'm sorry but this shit annoys me to no end. like this is about heartstopper and you all need to stop acting like that show invented everything.
fucking anyways
1. Koisenu Futari
Show that’s specifically made to be about aromanticism and asexuality as well as how aroace people are perceived by society. They are main characters. That’s the main plot.
2. Heartbreak High
Want a teen show with ace rep? No problem. One of the main characters is ace! Would you look at that! The representation already exists! It's got a ton of other rep too and it's on Netflix but somehow we never got that ace rep yet right? You don't even need subtitles for this one.
3. SkamFr (s12)
Is it a bit too much at times? Ye sure but you know what it also is? Another teen show where the main character is asexual that deals with asexuality as the main theme. And no you don't need to watch all those seasons before to get it.
4. Bojack Horseman
I didn't even watch this one but I'm aware.
5. Cherry Magic
Oh would you look at that a show with main mlm couple where one of the side characters is aroace? I mean surely it hasn't been done before.
6. Run On
You want some casual side character ace rep? Well here you go even kdramas have done it but I guess there just aren't any shows...
Honorary mention to Sex Ed for that one scene.

on twitter, a viral thread started where people around the world shared their translations of “If I must die”, the last work of Dr Refaat Alareer also known as "the voice of Gaza". A beloved poet, teacher and life-long activist for Palestine, he was recently assassinated along with members of his extended family by a targeted Israeli air strike. His loss leaves a hole in the heart of palestinians all over the world.
Below the cut, I’ll be posting the translations of his poem, with links to the original posts. Unfortunately, tumblr limits posts to a maximum of 30 images. I will update when I can.

Something so sinister and harrowing to me about the only black man in F1 bearing the weight of activism and morality for the entirety of the sport. that when it becomes institutionally acceptable to call for a fucking ceasefire F1 will point to Lewis and parade his bravery as though it was a joint enterprise and say "WE did that months ago".
The indignity about the way he gets maligned then co-opted is more harrowing to me than the overt shit they do to him somehow.
