The oldest Sufi shrine in Delhi has been demolished.

"The earliest Sufi Shrine in Delhi - belonging to a relative of Prithviraj Chauhan and dating from BEFORE the Turkish conquest - has been Demolished by the Delhi Development Authority in an "anti encroachment" drive.

In the late 12th century, a group of Afghan pastoralists, suddenly burst onto the world stage. In a matter of years, they toppled their rulers of Ghazni and seized major Persian cities like Herat, and then established the major Indian sultanate in Delhi.

We often think of this "Islamic invasion" as the start of the Muslim presence in India. Yet recent scholarship has shown that by the time of Ghori's conquest of Delhi, Muslims were already a central part of Indian society

Some of the earliest mosques are found in Kerala, dating from a few decades after the prophet Muhammad's death. Tamil Pallava, Chola and Pandya kings all built sizeable mosques

Delhi also had a single sufi shrine before the Afghan conquest - this one.

Until 31 January, when it was demolished, the shrine of Baba Haji Rozbih had been located by the Fateh Burj, or Victory Gate of Lal Kot. The grave next to it under a reddish Chador belongs to his female disciple Bibi. Bibi was said to be a close relative of Prithviraj Chauhan who embraced Islam under the aegis of Haji Rozbih.

This demolition is an UTTERLY MINDLESS LOSS and complete cultural desecration.

What's more the "anti encroachment" drive is apparently scheduled to include the Aashiq Allah Dargah dated to 1317AD which is where the great Punjabi Saint Baba Farid used to meditate, and his small 'chillagah' is still visible here.

This is the third Islamic structure to be demolished in Delhi this month. Isn't it funny how only certain structures are the victim of anti- encroachment drives? This is part of a planned programme by the current right-wing government of India that is violently islamophobic and wants to create a hindu ethnostate modeled after Israel.

What's your favourite episode of 13's run and why?

Ok! I surprisingly enough do have a favorite episode… but it’s by such a small margin I’ve made an executive decision to talk about 2 other of my favorites episodes and then a few honorable mentions and why I love them

I’m half sorry for how long this is, I’m fully sorry for the fact that it took a while to actually put my thoughts to words

We’re starting with my absolute favorite because that’s what was asked lol. The Power Of The Doctor is my favorite episode, the plot is fun but it’s really the characters that make me love it so much! Every character that shows up is used really well.

Yaz is absolutely the star of the episode. I love her in every episode but especially in this one she shines a lot. She takes charge so well and really does fill the docs shoes with flying the tardis and making the plans and all that jazz. Her interactions with everyone is amazing to watch but especially the master, their dynamic is so interesting to me! Mandip also does a great job portraying emotions in this one- her anger at the master, and sadness about 13 regenerating in particular is one of my favorite parts. Also yaz with a gun is hot, and I fully believe she woulda shot the master if he gave her a reason so this episode would be in my top five just for that

Speaking of the master! This is 100% his best appearance. The dancing, the outfit, his interactions with yaz being a mix of cruel and endearing, in a way? Maybe that’s not the right word… interesting at the very least. The way he talks to her like they’re friendly, like they both know the doctor very well… kinda like they’re two sides of the same coin, in a way?

13 is lovely in this episode. A) I ADORE the navy version of her coat and am so happy they brought it back in the inbetween cliff (or whatever that was) B) her regeneration might just be one of my favorite scenes, even if it pains me to watch (ignoring 14’s existence for this) and the hologram is so smart (btw does yaz still have that? Do you think it activates still?) also love the fugitive doctor appearance even if it was hologram form. Her comforting yaz, their conversation, the icecream <333333

Love ace and Teagan and vinder, they’re all great but especially ace is SO FUN and I love her interactions with graham(did they flirt?) who btw, I love that he was right back! Too bad Ryan isn’t there tho, it’s fun to see how the dr leaving affects the companions, the bitterness Teagan holds is definitely a really fun bit that I’m glad they included. Also Kate is amazing as she always is! Dan wasn’t that bad either but I’m still glad he didn’t stick around

Also! I really like the plot! I saw someone complain about having all 3 cybermen, daleks and the master in the same episode but honestly it was just super fun- and the master was really the main villain with the cybermen and daleks as minor/background/subvillains. I much approve fun plots over anything else and having the master dance to Rasputin is very fun!

Onto The Woman Who Fell To Earth!

Yes, 13’s first and last appearance are my favorite episodes! This will be much less in depth but I did recently rewatch this one so it’s as fresh in my mind as the first.

I really like how… snappy they all are, in a weird way? The fam kinda mellow out through the series, especially Graham. Theyre all somewhat aggressive in this one and it’s very fun! It’s too bad grace died… she’d have made a great companion

Also the plot, the plot is great. 13 making her own sonic, not remembering who she is but knowing she has to help people, picking up the first humans she sees (which she has a habit of throughout the series, lol), being super smart! Just lovely! Also her in a suit is hot

“I’m calling you yaz, cuz we’re friends now.” Is 100% one of my favorite quotes too

Also Swiss army sonic should’ve been a running gag, it’s funny! I think that’s everything- my thoughts on this episode are very disconnected but oh well

My third favorite: the witch finders!

I’m not actually sure why I love this episode so much? Actually yes I do, soaked 13 is hot- that’s not the only reason tho, promise.

The fam is great, as always, but especially yaz this episode. It portrays how kind she is really well! 13 experiencing sexism and being pissed about it is also really cool, I kinda wish we got at least one other episode where it happened but I understand why we didn’t . Also the king being gay for Ryan is funny as fuck and I didn’t notice it my first watch

The background(side?) characters are also really good- the possessed lady is a fun antagonist, and the king is wonderfully incompetent at his job.

Also 13 telling them not to interfere and then immediately interfering is fantastic. I don’t think I have much to say about this one? I just really like it

Honorable mentions!

The timeless children, solely for the scene with Graham and yaz being family and for yaz being halfway to the portal by the time Graham is done asking who’s first- tbh this is my least favorite appearance for the master and I think the cybermasters are stupid so

Arachnids in the uk I love yaz’s family, i love jade, i love that the bitch ceo gets schooled by women in stem and yaz’s mom, i like that when asked if she and the doctor are together yaz’s response is “we’re [just?] friends!” But when asked the same about ryan it’s a very emphatic “no!”, I love “more of the universe… more time with you.”

Demons of the punjab “we can’t have a universe with no yaz!”, young umbreen is so much like yaz it’s amazing, i love yaz in this episode (this, ive realized, doesn’t say much, I love her in every episode), the plot is really fun and again i love yaz’s family

The legend of the seadevils my beloved gays. The characters are all really fun, the plot is great, all the thasmin moments I love and they hurt my heart, and Dan has a stupid outfit!

Eve of the daleks once again: my beloved gays! The plot is so fun, and even though the side characters aren’t my favorite I still really like them

Fugitive of the judoon FUGITIVE DOCTOR MY BELOVED <333333 also Jack is cool

Oh also My least favorite is resolution because it’s boring. Ok I think that’s everything… hope you don’t regret asking!

My Phantom OT3 brainrot is not going away, and now, against my will, I’ve come up with something resembling a (very sappy and ridiculous) short story idea. I’m writing it here to vent it:

I have a headcanon that, despite his many other musical talents, Erik is not good at dancing -- he knows it in theory just fine, but actually practicing it requires a partner who’s willing to touch you, and he’s never had that.

So in my vaguely-imagined AU where Christine and Raoul take him with them at the end (and the three of them leave France for a time while they all heal and Figure Things Out), Raoul decides to teach him. The book (which I have read, though my vague AU is kind of a mishmash of that and the musical) describes that Raoul was mostly raised by his older sisters and other female relatives, so I like to imagine that they taught him ballroom dancing when he was a kid, and he just copies their methods exactly when teaching another man to dance:

Raoul: Just put your hand on my waist. Erik: We are not doing this. Raoul: Come on, lead me!

ISLAMABAD (AP) — Lightning and heavy rains have killed at least 49 people across Pakistan in the past three days, officials said Monday, as authorities in the country’s southwest declared a state of emergency.

Some deaths occurred when lightning struck farmers harvesting wheat. Rains caused dozens of houses to collapse in the northwest and in eastern Punjab province.

Arfan Kathia, a spokesman for the provincial disaster management authority, said 21 people had died in Punjab, where more rains were expected this week. Khursheed Anwar, a spokesman for the disaster management authority in northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan, said 21 people died there.

Rain also lashed the capital, Islamabad, and killed seven people in southwestern Baluchistan province. Streets flooded in the northwestern city of Peshawar and in Quetta, the Baluchistan capital.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said in televised remarks that he had ordered authorities to provide relief aid. Pakistan’s water reservoirs would improve because of the rains, he said.

Rafay Alam, a Pakistani environmental expert, said such heavy April rainfall is unusual.

“Two years ago, Pakistan witnessed a heat wave in March and April and now we are witnessing rains and it is all of because of climate change, which had caused heavy flooding in 2022,” he said.

In 2022, downpours swelled rivers and at one point inundated one-third of Pakistan, killing 1,739 people. The floods also caused $30 billion in damage.

Meanwhile, heavy flooding from seasonal rains in Afghanistan killed 33 people and injured 27 others in three days, according to Abdullah Janan Saiq, the Taliban’s spokesman for the State Ministry for Natural Disaster Management.

More than 600 houses were damaged or destroyed while around 200 livestock died. The flooding also damaged large areas of agricultural land and more than 85 kilometers (53 miles) of roads, he said.

He said authorities in Afghanistan had provided aid to nearly 23,000 families, and that flash floods were reported in 20 of the country’s 34 provinces.

R.B.I ਪੱਕੇ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਕਰੰਸੀ ਲਾਂਚ ਕਰਨ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਜੇਬ 'ਚ ਨੋਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਣੇ ਪੈਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਸੇ ਦੀ ਲੁੱਟ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੋਚ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਵੋਗੇ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਕਿ��ਨਾ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਪਰ ਰੁਕੋ ਜੇਕਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਣ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਕਦਮ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਏਜੰਡਾ 2030 ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੈਂਕਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਏਜੰਡਾ 2030 ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਕੈਸ਼ਲੈੱਸ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਕਿਸੇ ਕੋਲ ਕਾਗਜ਼ੀ ਨੋਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਪੂਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਮੁਦਰਾ 'ਤੇ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਕਰੇਗੀ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੋਚ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਵੋਗੇ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ, ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਪੈਸਾ ਸਿਰਫ ਸੀਮਤ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਲਈ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਮੁਦਰਾ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਸਮਾਂ ਸੀਮਾ ( expiry date ) ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ 2030 ਤੱਕ ਪੂਰੇ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਸਮਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਕਰੰਸੀ ਨਾਲ ਕਵਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਖਾਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਫ ਕੁਝ ਸੀਮਤ ਰਕਮ ਰੱਖੇਗਾ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਐਲਾਨ ਕਰੇਗੀ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਖਾਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਫ 30 ਲੱਖ ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਪੈਸੇ ਰੱਖ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਨਹੀਂ। ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਕੁਝ ਸਮੇਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਖਤਮ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਹਰੇਕ ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਮੁਦਰਾ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਆਦ ਪੁੱਗਣ ਦੀ ਮਿਤੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਏਜੰਡਾ 2030 ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਕੰਮ ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਕਰੰਸੀ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਮੁਦਰਾ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ |ਇੱਥੇ ਕਾਗਜ਼ੀ ਪੈਸੇ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਹਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਾਹਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਸਕੈਨਿੰਗ ਕੋਡ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ RFID ਚਿੱਪ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਜੋ ਇਸ ਸਕੈਨਿੰਗ ਕੋਡ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਾਏਗੀ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਡੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਕਰੰਸੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਬੈਂਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਖਤਮ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਸਕੈਨਿੰਗ ਕੋਡ 666 ਨੰਬਰ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰਕ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਦਾ ਨੰਬਰ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੁਝ ਖਰੀਦਦਾਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਬਾਹਰ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਖਰੀਦਣ ਲਈ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੋਡ ਸਕੈਨ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਪਵੇਗਾ, ਫਿਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਖਰੀਦਣ ਜਾਂ ਵੇਚਣ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਹੋਵਾਂਗੇ। ਹਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਖਾਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਸੀਮਤ ਪੈਸੇ ਹੀ ਰੱਖਣੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਕਰੰਸੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣਗੇ। google pay, Paytm, phone pay ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਔਨਲਾਈਨ ਟ੍ਰਾਂਜੈਕਸ਼ਨ ਐਪਸ 2030 ਦੇ ਏਜੰਡੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਲੋਕ ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਮੁਦਰਾ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਾਡੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਜਾਇਦਾਦ ਅਤੇ ਪੈਸਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਨਿਯੰਤਰਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਔਨਲਾਈਨ ਟ੍ਰਾਂਜੈਕਸ਼ਨ ਐਪਸ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਚੋ। ਇਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ R.B.। ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਮੁਦਰਾ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਕੁਝ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਬੈਂਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ .. ਬੈਂਕ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਹਨ SBI, BoB, HDFC, ICICI KOTAK, IDFC ਅਤੇ HSBC। ਇਹ ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਕਰੰਸੀ ਦੋ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ CBDC ਹੋਲਸੇਲ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੀ CBDC ਰਿਟੇਲ। ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਕੁਛ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਕੈਸ਼ ਲੈਸ ਹੋਣ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਸਾਰਾ ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਪੈਸਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਹਰ ਲੈਣ ਦੇਣ 666 ਕੋਡ ਦੀ ਸਕੈਨਿੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਇਹੀ ਓਹੀ ਚਿੱਪ ਹੋਊਗੀ ਜੌ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਲਾਈ ਜਾਊਗੀ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਖੁਲ ਕੇ ਜੀਣਾ ਭੁੱਲਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਜਾਗੋ। ਸੱਪ ਸਿਰਫ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਿਸਤਰੇ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਸੱਪ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵੀ ਬਿਸਤਰੇ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰੋ ਇਹ ਅਸਲ ਵਿਚ ਵਾਪਰਨ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
