Gah! He was so unfair to annie, and nancy too. The time he couldn't tell annie one nice thing abt herself?! Obvi the cheating on his pregnant wife! The suing annie for custody outta nowhere?? Forcing annie to go to weird therapy to mend his and Nancy's relationship?! (or were they literally in a throuple at this point cos otherwise wth!) lying to annie abt why ben has to leave his fancy private school...?? Overall I wish the narrative had given him more of a comeuppance or at least reckoning :/

Honestly, I don't really know. They just don't do it for me like that. I like them as shitty friends, and it's not like I mind seeing this ship around, I just... don't care.

What would have made you like it?

Well that's a hard one, uhhh..... I mean, I guess it would've been funny to see Reigen react to Dimple's humanoid form. I think a part of why the fandom's take on this ship usually doesn't do it for me is that they keep on involving that poor Security Guy from Claw, when Dimple has a Grotesque Humanoid Form right here.

So I guess what I'm saying is that I'd probably enjoy it more if people weren't cowards and actually leaned into the monsterfucking aspect of this ship /o\

I actually really enjoy their canon dynamic ! They have a grudging respect for each other, and they bonded over how much they each care (and refuse to admit they care) about Mob, and they just. Get each other.

And they're also really funny and sarcastic, and I always love me a good comedy duo.

The fuckingng. Kakashi Gaiden. Like, I've said this before and I'll say it again, Kishimoto might have messed up a lot of things, but he did Not fuck around with the Gaiden, and I don't know if I can ever recover from the symbolism of Kakashi completing his signature technique by absorbing Obito's eye into himself, the very same way he will end up absorbing Obito's personality in the future.

Just. God.

Also later in the manga, the absolute Drama of the reveal of Obito being Alive and Evil and Kakashi's breakdown at seeing the guy he's idolized his whole life standing in front of him and calling him trash...

Look, I'm not joking when I say this reveal got me back into Naruto, I had actually jumped ship when Haku was brought back to life, but then I heard the Tobi-Obito Theory actually turned out to have been officially confirmed and I just. I had to see for myself.

Basically, I'm in it for the unhealthy codependency and the angst.

What are your favorite things about the ship?

But uh, yeah, of course there's all I've already talked about, but also like. The physicality of their relationship ? Is incredible ? They literally share a pair of eye and can sometimes see from each other's point of view thanks to it.

The fight inside Kamui with the flashbacks to their old sparring was also just. When Obito grabs Kakashi's hand and uses it to complete the signs for his jutsu ? Gay As Fuck. I've never seen a more homoerotic fight scene, and I've read all of Naruto.

And of course emotionally they're a complete mess. You can't talk about the one without mentioning the other. They're barely their own person anymore, with how much they're mixed together, especially because Kakashi's way of coping with Obito's death was by just never allowing him to die.

But also Obito literally stalked him just 'cause, so y'know. They both have a part in becoming uh, to quote from NBC Hannibal, "blurred".

Dumbass gay ninjas can't live with the person they've become and so they try to lose themselves into an idealized past, failing horribly : the relationship.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

I literally do not interact with the fandom, except when I post stuff for my AUs. And the last time I narutoposted was uhhhhhhh in 2020.

I guess one thing that was common back when I still looked at some of the fandom's postings was Rin either being outright hated and treated like a nuisance, or given a Badass Girl persona that didn't actually fit with her canon personality (which is Radical Anti-War Revolutionary Who Respects Human Life, btw), probably because a lot of folks felt like she was "in the way" of KKOB. Which is *checks notes* fucking stupid.

So anyway my unpopular opinion is that Rin loves her boys and supports them no matter what, and in any world KKOB get together and Rin is around, there's no way Rin doesn't remain the two's best friend the same way she's always been. She is a part of the deal. Not necessarily as part of an OT3, but always as part of the platonic codependent Mess that makes up these idiots.

...... bringing in a third character probably isn't what's supposed to happen in this question. But like I said, I barely know what's going on in the fandom these days, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

ivy x sebastian headcanons bc they're canon now

THEY ARE CANON.

She's definitely the more assertive one in their relationship, so if anyone even remotely tries messing with him, she's laughing hysterically as she sprints to deck said person. He has texted her once about someone teasing him and she literally ran out of Ignihyde to go to him.

Sometimes, they'll sit together under a tree and share earbuds, listening to music and just looking at the scenery. She tries not to fall asleep, but she usually winds up with her head on his shoulder, already sleeping.

He makes her little homemade gifts and he likes writing her love letters. He's been caught in Rollo's office because he needs stamps and he has to lie and say, "It's for the Scholarships of Centered Living." Rollo can clearly see the pink envelope with a heart shaped wax frame in the back.

Since she's in NRC and he's in NBC, they usually stay up talking to each other. The wifi in Ignihyde is super fast and good, so they sometimes spend hours up together.

They play games with each other; he likes playing the calmer games like Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, Minecraft and the Sims. She plays tactical shooter games a lot. They play with each other and he has, many times, failed in her games. He has also heard her very creative curses whenever someone even tries to insult his gameplay.

They have a bed next to each other in Minecraft. When the VP plays with Sebastian, he always asks, "Why two?" "You don't get it." "DOWN BAD HORRENDOUS."

She has bought him multiple gifts just because, from Lego sets to those new boots that he really wanted but he couldn't get. He never knows where she gets the money from.

He knows when she's feeling homesick, she looks more worn down than usual and he immediately does everything he can to take her to him. He hugs her really tightly for the longest time until she feels calmer.

She goes home with him for the holidays because she REFUSES to stay behind and clean up Ignihyde. Those boys' room are toxic fumes since they never clean or go outside. His sisters usually tease him a lot about him actually bringing a girl home or at least bringing SOMEONE home.

He winds up being embarrassed by his entire family because they're all interrogating her at the family reunion. Somehow she winds up passing the questions. She also eats a lot there, she enjoys the food that they make and even describes some of her own food before getting up, going shopping, and making the food on her own.

Speaking of shopping, he sometimes goes out to buy her a bunch of snacks and go into NRC. When he goes into Ignihyde, literally everyone's going, "INTRUDER!! INTRUDER!! FROM ANOTHER SCHOOL, HOW DID YOU GET IN HERE!!"

He definitely didn't ask Seth. She almost tackles him to the ground in excitement every time. It's common now, but he's still not used to the open affection.

SPEAKING OF AFFECTION, she's definitely more affectionate with him than vice versa. She is not ashamed of hugging him and she's even kissed his cheek in front of Rollo (he was red for days). Sometimes she just clings onto him.

They send memes and make playlists for each other. She has made him multiple playlists and all of them have different titles. They're all cute too, they make him turn pink because they could be love letters on their own.

He'll visit NRC in secret sometimes just for her.

Ignihyde is aware but the one time Idia brought it up to her, she literally said, "JUST BECAUSE I CAN GET BITCHES AND YOU CAN'T DOESN'T MEAN THAT YOU'RE GOING TO KEEP ME FROM HIM."

They go on walks alone at night, looking at the stars. They even have a specific spot where they can set a blanket down and look up at them.

Sebastian definitely isn't aware of her Unique Magic until one time where she combusted because she was so stressed out. It stressed him out even more because she was on fire and he didn't know what to do. He was panicking and crying, thinking that she was dying. He almost got a heart attack when she jumped out the window because she wanted to see if she could fly while being fueled by flames.

Many times, he has asked about her world and she rambles on and on about how it was; usually he'll have his head in her lap and he's looking at her with a lovesick smile the whole time. The VP and Rollo have literally found them like that and the VP almost smacks her with a broom.

He doesn't want to think about the fact that he might potentially lose her one day when she goes back home.

8. What would they consider the most romantic thing that happened between them?

It was totally the kiss in 2.09.

I always like to think of Rio as a reader, and Beth as someone who was one before she had four kids to run around after, and I like the thought that both of them had circled tragic romances at different points in their life. That Rio had read Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Carlos Fuentes and Laura Esquivel and Beth had read Emily Bronte and Gustave Flaubert and Shakespeare, and they both relished a little in reading tragic romances, but also never really got it, because they're both pragmatists, they're both survivors, they're both people who sacrifice everything and nothing to get ahead.

And I think Beth taking Rio back to her room in 2.09 was one of the only times she let herself have him fully, and she could only do that because she thought it was goodbye, and Rio could only let himself give himself because he thought it was hello, and there's just so much vulnerability in that. Neithrer of them are at their best, and yet they're open and tender and totally wrecked for one another, and I think it changed the way they understood those stories.

That they left that day bitter and angry and aching, but also so desperately holding onto the memory of it, and I like to think that it changed the ways they felt those stories. That they understood holding onto pain wasn't a little death, but this little way of keeping something alive, and that they did that always, throughout the violence and betrayals and drag backs and claw forwards that would come afterwards, because it just is felt that deep in both of them, and they can no longer imagine themselves without it.

27. One headcanon you have about this OTP

I kind of love this idea that Beth doesn't have much of a sweet tooth, but that Rio does, and it's one of the few things they find easy to bicker about. So much of their arguing comes from real places, y'know, whether it's work or parenting or navigating their entire disaster relationship, and Rio always ordering her dessert just so he can eat it himself, and Beth refusing to cook pancakes unless she can serve them with bacon, just becomes this really easy, gentle, teasing place for both of them, and every bit of mock outrage is swallowed in real affection that neither of them would ever admit to.
